Author Lynn Hobbs will appear on Arkansas news station KTSS to discuss her latest Christian fiction suspense novel, ‘Sin, Secrets And Salvation’. The 30-minute interview will air six times on July 28, 2012. Show times are 3am, 7am, 10am, 12pm, 5:30pm and 9pm Central Time.

’Sin, Secrets And Salvation’ is an inspiring journey of a Christian woman who overcomes mental abuse from her non-Christian husband. The main character, Susan Penleigh must deal not only with abuse, but also with a number of other family issues. Her reasoning as a Christian is shown in her daily struggles, and her faith guides and strengthens her.

”I wrote this book,” Ms Hobbs stated, “because after working in the public for over 30 years, I'd occasionally witness a woman being mentally abused. I wanted to show the inspiring story of a belittled Christian wife who survives and rebuilds her life with gusto.”

Lynn Hobbs is a prolific writer. ‘Sin, Secrets And Salvation’ is the first book in the Running Forward Series of three inspirational Christian fiction suspense books that debuted in January 2012. As a romance novelist, Wiseman has been called a ‘master of the unexpected twist’ who produces contagious storylines. In ‘An Unlikely Arrangement’, three lives intertwine through the differing worlds of high society, middle-class life, and organized crime, culminating in an engagement, a kidnapping, a misunderstanding and a murder. The story is set in 1929 Detroit.

“I wrote this book,” stated Ms. Wiseman, “because of my fascination with the era that redefined modern womanhood, The Roaring Twenties. There is mystery, mayhem, and murder - all written in such a way as to keep the reader guessing. My love of this era comes to life with the rebellion of a character based on the true story of a woman who wants to break free of the mold others have established. Her innocence is shattered when she makes a drastic decision that changes the way she sees the world in 1929..”

Patty Wiseman is the daughter of a WWII Navy vet who survived Pearl Harbor. She was raised in Washington State, attended The Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, then moved to Northeast Texas where she has resided for over 30 years. Several of her short stories have been published in 'Angie's Diary'. 'An Unlikely Arrangement', an historical romance novel, was published with Desert Coyote Productions. There are two more in the works. One is a romantic comedy. Her most recent award is a 2012 Roughdraft short story contest where she placed 2nd.

Toronto Area Author Rusty Blackwood Announces Children's Book Reading Event In St. Catharines, New Interview

Canadian Author Rusty Blackwood will be appearing at Chapters in Fairview Mall in the St. Catharine's area on June 16th 2012

“I write for those people,” Ubtrent continued, “who like to read books with substance. So much of what is written today to me seems to be filled with fluff aimed at young teens. I don't follow that route. I write for the adults who grew up on Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jose Farmer, Issac Asimov, Tolkien and Frank Herbert.  Their books were true science fiction and fantasy.  They took the time to describe the settings and the characters and their books were driving by the characters and not the story or the genre. They were masters at writing, writing that draws the reader into their world and makes their imaginations work, makes they think about what they are reading. That's what I strive to achieve with my books. The best science fiction books have sub-plots and sub-sub-plots that make the reader have to concentrate on the story and learn the characters, whether they like them or not, and then become surprised when a character acts in a way one didn't expect."

R. Peter Ubtrent was born in New York City but moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of eight. Although he has lived in both Florida and California, he seems to have settled in Edgewood, New Mexico for the moment. Peter served in the US Naval Reserve for 12 years as a sonar technician, spent several years teaching and coaching at the high school level and has been repairing watches and clocks with his father for the last 15 years. Peter starting writing in high school but didn't really get started with serious novels until about ten years ago and since then, he has self-published nine science fiction novels, six in one series called Dark Pilgrim, one stand-alone titled Eternity's Handmaiden, and two in The Sslithax Heresy. Peter has obtained bachelor's degrees in astrophysics, history, and secondary education, has a Master's degree in military history. When he's not writing, Peter works improving his gardens and builds wooden and plastic models. He has been married to Genevieve for over sixteen years.

Don McCauley interviewed award-winning author Clement Binnings Jr. recently for a segment of The Authors Show. Binnings is the author of 'Angel Through The Storms: A Love Story'.  Angel Through The Storms was one of two finalists in the 2012 Indie Excellence Book Awards for Visionary Fiction.

Clement Binnings is a family physician practicing in Salem, Virginia and serves Primary Care Associates as its Vice President. As a writer, Binnings attempts to reveal the light of Spirit, acting in the darkness of the world.

'Angel Through The Storms' brings a healing angel to the loveless realities of child abuse and molestation, to the psychological pathologies these atrocities create, and to the abandoned refugees suffering on the sweltering streets of New Orleans during the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Binnings graduated with a degree in English Education from L.S.U. Shreveport in 1977 where he was the editor of its Spectra Literary Journal and was awarded the college’s Mastery in English Award. After teaching for three years, he changed careers, earning his medical degree from L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport and enjoyed being the editor for its Synapse Newspaper. His twenty-eight years as a physician have rewarded him with the insight needed to produce characters that come to life.
