A Death In The Family - Montreal Author Laura Prince Offers Words Of Wisdom For Canadians Affected By Iranian Aircraft Tragedy

Laura Prince's new book detailing the death of her brother has been called "insightful", "powerful" "vivid" "absorbing" and "spellbinding".

57 Canadians were killed when Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752 was shot down from Iran. According to a piece in the Montreal Gazette by Jason Magder, those killed included newlyweds, students and young professionals. Perhaps just as important is the fact the victims were also sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, parents and friends from every walk of life.

Stories on the tragedy were presented by nearly every major Canadian news organization including the Toronto Star, the Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Courier. A piece on CTVNews.ca quoted Justin Trudeau as saying, "On behalf of all Canadians, I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Your loss is indescribable and this is a heartbreaking tragedy. An entire country is with you. We share your grief."

Justin Trudeau knows all too well about loss after losing his brother in an avalanche in 1998 and his very famous father in the year 2000.

Coming together in the face of such an unspeakable tragedy is important. However, a vitally important question remains for the survivors: How does one handle such grief?

Montreal resident Laura Prince, author of Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration, offers some important words of wisdom that can help people begin to pick up the pieces and take the first steps toward healing.

"There is no recipe, and no-one knows--nor will ever know--how you feel, and how you have lived your personal tragedy," Prince stated. "It's a matter of finding your way through support groups, therapy and friendships. Writing is a major help, and listening to others' stories is also very healing. Whatever helps you feel compassion for all of us and gratitude for discovering a peaceful place again will help you chart your particular journey to healing."

"Time has illustrated to me that the death of my brother was the catalyst to my devastating despair; however, the lack of support was the tragedy. A person left with no avenue of help, especially a child, is emotionally doomed in most ways. Getting help was what got me over Mathew, but only after years of senseless suffering."

“In a document entitled 'The Mourners Bill of Rights', Dr. Alan Wolfelt explains that grief is as individual as a fingerprint. 'Do what is right for your soul. You have the right to move toward your grief and heal. Neither you nor those around you must forget that the death of someone loved, changes your life forever.' Treasure your memories and find others to share them with. That loved one will always live inside you. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time. Write down how you feel, talk about how you feel to those you trust to express yourself, and time will help the process of healing."

Readers and reviewers alike have praised Sibling Loss. One called it "The best story illustrating the long term consequences of unresolved childhood grief that I have seen." Another said, "Sibling Loss: A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration is an excellent read and one I would recommend to everyone."

Allan Schnarr, of the Center for Grief Recovery in Chicago said, "Sibling Loss is not a book you read at a dispassionate distance. It is not for you if you choose to avoid facing your losses, not unless you become willing to turn around and face yourself. The reading is a deeply personal encounter with Laura, as she lays bare the unspeakable tragedy of the death of her beloved brother. As you encounter Laura, the mirror she offers will draw you in to the journey inside your own broken heart . . .There is so much to learn here about longing for love, losing love, and searching for it unwaveringly. This is the thread weaving Laura’s narrative. It is at the archetypal core of each journey through life, love lost and found.

"Laura makes it clear that fully grieving the loss of love brings one to a new home, a renewed discovery of love, a love strong enough and wise enough to walk through each new loss with durable, irrepressible grace. Thank you Laura”

Laura’s story, 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration', is a book that would be appropriate for anyone who has ever lost, or will ever lose a sibling. That would be nearly all of us.

Leaders Need Make Only One New Year's Resolution This Year – No Loose Lugnuts In 2020 Says Top Motivational Speaker Rocky Romanella

An inspirational keynote speaker and trainer, Romanella is founder and principal of 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. He has over 40 years of leadership at Fortune 100's. His approach to leadership can be a game changer for anyone who serves in a leadership role.

Everywhere we look today we see advice on how to develop effective New Year's resolutions. Tens of millions of pages on the Internet deliver practical advice on every subject imaginable; everything from dieting to relationships, exercise to organizing, smoking to budgeting. Not surprisingly, many of us have made yet another very long list of resolutions for 2020. Yet there is one resolution that supersedes them all. If we can implement and follow just one resolution, it can set the stage for positive change and breakthrough success for any leader in any role: No loose lug nuts in 2020.

The “loose lug nut” metaphor may not be familiar to some people. For those of us who have had the good fortune to hear top motivational speaker Rocky Romanella deliver his message, we know what it means. Romanella’ s highly successful, 5-star rated business book, “Tighten The Lug Nuts: The Principles of Balanced Leadership” employs this core concept to explore the ways a true leader can add value as a trusted advisor, mentor, and visionary who uses a process approach to lead the organization and its people to new levels of success. The “loose lug nut” concept, drawn from the book, is one of the foundations of his message regarding effective, balanced leadership.

Romanella believes the true measure of a great leader is someone who leaves things a little better than they found them. In 'Tighten the Lug Nuts', you’ll follow Joe Scafone as he demonstrates the importance of small acts of kindness, the power that comes with understanding your role, and the freedom that accepting responsibility affords. Readers learn how to “tighten the lug nuts” in their own lives to keep from becoming overwhelmed and to take the steps to becoming a truly balanced and valuable leader.

'Tighten The Lug Nuts: The Principles Of Balanced Leadership' has received rave reviews and 5-star ratings for many reasons. What sets the book apart from other business books is Romanella’ s talent for transforming everyday situations into opportunities to practice and implement Balanced Leadership principles.

Few business books offer new, innovative approaches to leading companies to success. Fewer still speak clearly to the key points necessary to become an effective leader. Only a miniscule number of books could be called a "game changer". Whether you are a seasoned leader or are taking the first steps to becoming an effective leader, this is one of those books you will refer to over and over again. More information about the book is available at https://www.TightenTheLugNuts.com.

Rocky speaks from experience. With over 40 years of “boots on the ground” leadership experience, he is one of the best keynote motivational speakers in the country and internationally. He has spoken in large and small venues all over the US including cities such as Atlanta, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, NYC, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Houston, LA, Charlotte and many others. Internationally, he has presented keynotes in Toronto, Mexico City, Milan, London, and Krakow. He is known for creating excitement through his energy, passion and knowledge, while employing his talents and experience to motivate, inspire and entertain audiences, regardless of size.

Romanella has garnered praise for his ability to connect to a wide range of audiences with his storytelling ability and innate charisma. Richard Snowden, President of Raven House International said, "An engaging speaker and facilitator, Rocky leads business executives to break-through results through break-through thinking." Conrad Swanson, Sr. VP Agency Development of Arpin Van Lines Inc. stated, "Rocky inspired many to look inward and improve the way they operate their businesses and lead their team members."

A winner of the UPS Chairman’s Award for Excellence, Romanella has created a legacy of motivating teams to achieve their best. He pulls in audiences with real life stories from an illustrious career spanning nearly 40 years at one of the most recognized and admired brands in the world. Rocky brings leadership expertise in supply chain, logistics and transportation, retail, sales and operational excellence strategy, telecommunications engineering/construction management and installation. Having led many company sales efforts, rapidly building brands, restructuring events and developing a culture needed to integrate past acquisitions, he inspires audiences to create a unified company with one vision.

The Man Who Captured The Bin Laden Of His Day - A Bee In His Bonnet By Award Winning Author Bernard Fleury

Bernard Fleury's sweeping saga relates the little-known tale of an All-American military hero who was instrumental in the capture of Faustino Ablen

American servicemen and women are the heroes who hold the front lines of freedom, keeping all of us safe. We are familiar with many of their names, thanks to modern-day news outlets, the Internet, social media, and movies such as Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, The Hurt Locker, American Sniper or Band of Brothers.

Frank King is a name that, while perhaps less familiar due to the passing of time, is no less important.

'A Bee in His Bonnet' is an action packed, creative non-fiction biography by award winning author Bernard Fleury, filled with one-of-a-kind images, that reads very much like a modern day movie mega-thriller. The book offers readers a look into the life of an American soldier, Frank King, Fleury’s grandfather, who came to America in 1898 and stayed to become a career army man, profuse diarist, and world traveler. He fought in wars that few of us know, but whose repercussions are still felt today: The Spanish-American War, The Philippine Insurrection, and World War I.

King’s Company G, Eighth Infantry, was involved in the earliest documented anti-terrorist campaigns in The Philippine Insurrection. King was present for the capture of Aguinaldo, and during his second tour there was personally instrumental in the capture of the Bin Laden of his day, Faustino Ablen. He served in the famous Third Division in World War I. He was officially cited twice for his heroism and the part he played in the famous battles at Champagne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, and Chateau Thiery, under General John Pershing who attended Frank’s retirement, personally presenting his retirement papers. If you like to experience creative history as seen through the eyes and life of a man who lived it, you’ll love 'A Bee in His Bonnet'.

There are 28 original photos in the book including the photo of Faustino Ablen when captured. This photo was sent to the author by a Filipino professor who discovered it in a closed library once operated by Franciscan Friars. The photos cover 98 years from 1860 to 1958 in the Frank King story. They are an old photos collector's treasure.

Readers and reviewers have praised 'A Bee In His Bonnet'.

Sefina Hawke said, “A Bee in His Bonnet by Bernard J. Fleury is a well written biography that offers a unique perspective. The author uses old photos with captions and that really helped me to feel a connection with the people featured in this book. It allowed me to have a clear image in my head of what they actually looked like instead of having to rely purely on my imagination. I particularly liked learning about Frank King's part in the capture of Faustino Ablen. As I read this book, I found myself becoming interested in learning more about some of the wars Frank King fought in so that I could truly understand more about the role that he played in them as an individual soldier."

Arya Fomonyuy said, "This action-packed nonfiction story pulls the reader into the climates of war and makes them experience what it felt like to be at the front line. Told from the unique perspective of the soldier, the story is filled with relevant historical references and moments, a tale of courage and bravery in the face of war. The reader is transported to different historical places to experience some of the most grueling and intensive actions in war. The author captures very interesting historical details and enables readers to understand world politics and conflict from the point of view of someone who was actively and personally involved. The writing in A Bee in His Bonnet is beautiful and Bernard J. Fleury's literary skill and charm keep readers engaged. This is a tale of family, of war, of travel, and one man's dedication to his country."

Kimberly J. Benart stated, "A Bee in His Bonnet is the kind of book you don't want to put down once you start reading it. The word 'adventure' hardly captures the full breadth and scale of Dr. Fleury's treatment of his grandfather's life. The narrative and dialog keep the pace moving at a clip, while now and then there is a slight pause to remind the reader of the historical setting. I cried at the end, as I believe any reader would. This is a magnificent tribute by a grandson to his grandfather, just as Frank King's life stands as a magnificent tribute to the caliber of man that he was."

Bernard Fleury's books have received a large number of 5-star rated reviews. He was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. That honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

School Shootings, Lockdowns, Body Shaming And Bullying: Teen Girls Lead The Climate Change Effort Says Award Winning Selfie Filmmaker Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein

Dr. Holstein, a Positive Psychologist/filmmaker and originator of a unique Selfie Film concept, is accepting Selfie Films submissions from the public for the "Selfie Showcase".

A recent article on the Washington Post site entitled "Teen girls are leading the climate strikes and helping change the face of environmentalism" presented us with some surprising information. Teen girls seem to have taken a lead role in the climate change effort.

As stated in the article, "The icon of young climate activism is 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, who sparked the school strike movement when she began protesting alone outside the Swedish parliament more than a year ago.

As the article states, "When the soft-spoken teenager appeared at New York’s climate rally Friday, the crowd reacted as if she were the headliner of a rock concert. Tens of thousands of schoolkids waited for hours in sweltering heat to see her speak and yelled her name in unison as she took the stage."

Award winning author, selfie filmmaker and positive psychologist Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein has been telling us for years that teens and social media will change the world. We are seeing that happen today.

"As a psychologist and educator, my work has always been reflective of a deep truth that society is quick to forget: children and teens are lucid, insightful and 'get it' far more than we give them credit for,” Dr. Holstein stated. Often we block their innocent wisdom and awareness of what is going on, whether in our own households or the world, as it is too painful and annoying or maybe embarrassing for us as grown-ups to face the truth. Our kids are not embarrassed about climate change. However, they are annoyed and in pain. Let's try to overcome our resistance to the truth and listen to our kids! It will help all of us to save the planet."

Dr. Holstein's unique Selfie Films have taken a large number of awards and have been shown in many film festivals and competitions. Most notable among these are:

The Selfie Project - Accepted at 19 film festivals or film competitions

Conflict And A Bit Of Magic: A Coming Of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 17 film festivals or film competitions

Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction: A Coming Of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 8 film festivals or film competitions

Secrets: A Coming Of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 7 film festivals or film competitions

Lockdown - Accepted at 11 film festivals or film competitions

The Truth: A Short Film - Accepted at 7 film festivals or film competitions

Dr. Holstein recently created The Selfie Showcase, a new project emerging from The Selfie Project, that allows young people to voice their opinions on subjects that matter to young people. She is now accepting submissions from the public for the "Selfie Showcase" and is actively seeking change-makers and mental health professionals to appear on her monthly video podcast.

The Selfie Showcase allows kids, teens, and young adults ages 13 to 18 to candidly express their concerns, worries, observations and possible solutions by creating selfies or selfie films around important subjects, using a smart phone.

Selected participants may appear on the Selfie Project Channel, available on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3uaOTcYF70z5CpBh11VoUQ. They will also appear in the Selfie Showcase on SelfieFilmmakers.com. They will receive a certificate of merit, and may be invited to be on Holstein's monthly podcast or perhaps be a part of her next film. Full details, rules for submission and helpful hints can be accessed at the Selfie Filmmakers site at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com/instructions.

Holstein's podcast series is actively seeking change-makers to appear either in person or by call-in on her monthly podcast. Dr. Holstein hopes to feature members of traditional media, mental health professionals and educators who can make a real difference in the lives of young people. Many of the podcasts feature young people - to give them a voice regarding their concerns and their solutions. Guests, if accepted, can arrange to appear by contacting Dr. Holstein directly.

Dr. Holstein also makes a number of her books and films available to be used as fundraising tools. She requests that any verified charitable organization interested in raising funds contact her via email.

She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at barbara.holstein@gmail.com. More information about the Selfie Showcase is available at http://www.selfiefilmakers.com. Potential podcast guests can contact Dr. Holstein by email. Grief Over Tragic Loss Of Young Daughter Leads To Healing Through Writing Books About Angels - The Angels Daughter By Multi-Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe

Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.

A death in the family is something we will all experience - many times over perhaps. While any loss of a family member is heartbreaking and tragic beyond words, at no time is this more true than when a parent loses a child. For Jody Sharpe, the loss of her daughter at a young age served as the impetus for healing and restoration through writing stories about angels living on Earth. She discussed this in a recent post on her site.

"The last thing I heard was her laughter," Sharpe stated. "My daughter Kate passed away years ago but I can still hear her wonderful laugh that day in my mind.Kate had such an enormous impact on my life. The nineteen years we had together changed my world for the better. I so loved being her mother. There was a song that used to play on the radio in the late seventies when she was about three and we would sing it together. ‘You and Me Against the World’ by Helen Reddy. As her mother I thought the following lines pertained to my passing first.'For all the times we cried, I always felt that God was on our side. And when one of us is gone and one of us is left to carry on… think of all the things that we’ve been through… our memories alone will see us through. Think about the days of me and you. Me and you against the world.'

"I wrote my first novel 'The Angel’s Daughter’ in her memory." More is available as Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

In Jody Sharpe's highly acclaimed novels, the angels take on human form and interact with humanity in a variety of ways. Sharpe has written 3 books about angels to date:

Town of Angels - It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…

To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay,California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Sharpe presents stories and interviews about angels in her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series. She is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

A Death In The Family: Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration, Offers Hope To Readers Dealing With The Loss Of A Sibling

Laura Prince's new book detailing the death of her brother has been called "insightful", "powerful" "vivid" "absorbing" and spellbinding.

A death in the family is devastating. The loss of a child even more so. Not surprisingly, when a child is lost, we naturally want to console the parents of that child. What we often fail to notice is the effect the death of a child has on the other children in the family. The surviving children must deal with issues that are unique, potentially life-shattering and long lasting. Fear, anxiety, guilt and a host of other challenges can overwhelm young people who are unlikely to be prepared to face such a crippling event.

Laura Prince's new book, 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey from Despair To Celebration', is a first-person account of the crushing effect the death of her brother, had on her life. Prince shares her decades-long process of healing that is, as she claims, a lifelong struggle. Nevertheless it is a book that offers hope. Prince openly and candidly examines the pitfalls and surprising triumphs of grieving. She offers readers a window into her world and allows us to share in her sadness, and in the eventual celebration of her brother as she slowly works her way into a place of quiet joy and gratitude.

“I’ve learned that without a huge and continued effort to heal from life’s upheavals, many crises can never produce healing. Recovering from enormous trauma, as in the sudden accidental death of my brother Mathew, became a kind of life ‘endeavor’ of mine.

"I’ve been blessed with the ability to write, and therefore could share my story with you, so that you, the reader, can be inspired to overcome your grief as well. Writing ‘Sibling Loss’ has been a huge part of my spiritual journey to finally be able to celebrate Mathew’s short but beautiful life.”

Laura Prince is available for media interviews and can be reached by email at laura.prince.book@gmail.com or by using the information below. The book is available at Amazon. More information is available at Prince's website at http://www.siblinglossbook.blogspot.com.

Evil Eye Jewelry - A Biblical Perspective Offered By B.BéNI Jewelry

B.BéNI is a New England based inspirational jewelry company that offers men's necklaces and a wide selection of jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, sterling silver, earrings and Christian jewelry that will touch the heart, yet be fabulous and chic enough to really rock

According to a recent article on The New York Times site entitled, "Beware the Evil Eye. Or Buy One, Just For Kicks", over 71,000 items appear on Etsy when searching the phrase "evil eye jewelry". In the same article we are told that modern-day designers like Michaels Kors and Atelier Swarovski have been creating pieces based on the concept. B.BéNI Jewelry recently posted an article that looks at evil eye jewelry from a Biblical perspective:

Evil eye jewelry. For the last few years it seems to be EVERYWHERE. I have to admit, some of it is pretty cool looking. With endorsements from many A-list celebrities as well as quite a few high end jewelry lines embracing the trend and creating just about every style of gemstone encrusted evil eye, one could imagine that this is an exciting new trend. The reality is that the evil eye amulet has been a source of fascination for many thousands of years. The earliest roots of belief in the evil eye as well as ways to protect against it were found in many ancient civilizations—including those of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Phoenicia, and Greece — as well as the Old Testament. Actually, archaeological evidence reveals that amulets were very common in the ancient cultures, especially among pagan peoples.

What is wearing the evil eye actually supposed to do? For thousands of years, the look given to someone known as “the evil eye” is said to have afflicted countless people everywhere. Now, to clarify, this is not evil eye jewelry (amulets), which supposedly repels the curse, but the actual evil eye glare which is supposedly a curse...yes, this is confusing! The belief is that with a covetous gaze, a person can curse another, their children, or even their property with misfortune, illness, or death. This glare, prompted by envy or greed, is given to inflict suffering, harm, and bad luck on the recipient. Those who fear the evil eye have created several defenses against it. Incantations, amulets, and rituals (like spitting three times). But one talisman has proved to be the most well-known and popular: an amulet of an eye, which is meant to deflect envious onlookers. The evil eyes that are popular are typically a blue circle with an eye shape in the middle. They derive their name from the feared evil eye glare. People believe the charms act as a shield, protecting against the effects of receiving the evil eye glare.

So now we know exactly what wearing an evil eye is supposed to accomplish. How does that line up with what the Bible says? Whenever amulets, idols, and other magic charms are mentioned in the Bible, God’s attitude is very much against them and those who place their trust in them. “I have hated those who regard useless idols; but I trust in the Lord” (Psalm 31:6, NKJV). The word of God tells us that If we believe that we need protection from evil and demonic powers, God has something far superior to protective amulets and idols. “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’ Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday” (Psalm 91:2-6, NKJV)

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. . . . Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” (Ephesians 6:11, 14-17, (NIV).

I am a true jewelry lover, as anyone who knows me will agree. As pretty as some of these evil eye pendants are I think I will have to pass on them - I just don’t like what they represent. It’s a personal choice and this is just my opinion but I’ll have to say “No Thanks!”

B.BéNI Jewelry has a huge selection of inspirational jewelry, especially meaningful necklaces for that special person in your life. Each finely crafted piece of Christian jewelry features a passage from the Bible, and these comforting and inspirational words of Scripture provide comfort and encouragement for all people of faith, serving as a constant reminder of God's spiritual presence.

Jody Sharpe, Award Winning Author Of Books About Angels, Presents 'The Angels On The Writer's Shoulders', New Posts With Angel Themes

Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.

Jody Sharpe, award winning author of a number of books about angels, recently appeared at the Desert Foothills Library in Cave Creek AZ to lead a discussion entitled "The Angels On The Writer's Shoulders." She has also made 3 posts available with the same theme. All are available at her website in the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section.

In Sharpe's award winning novels, angel play a central role, as they do in Western culture during the Holiday season. At this time of year, stories and depictions of angels seem to be everywhere. Angels are portrayed as both messengers and guides. Those of us who believe in angels credit them with all manner of kind and good works, and look to them for guidance.

"Since childhood I’ve believed angels are always near," Sharpe stated. "After losing my precious daughter a message in a dream from an angel gave me hope. Then I met a man I think was a real angel. My angel stories come from these loving angels on my shoulders."

She is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion on her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Leena, An Abused, Bruised And Bloodied Woman, New Book By Author Sid Nachman, Offers An Unforgettable Story Of Abuse And Healing

Sid Nachman has been called "one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." His latest work offers hope for women who have suffered abuse through a heart-wrenching story based on real life events.

The subject of abuse makes headlines nearly every day. Many of the stories are shocking beyond comprehension. Sadly not all victims are willing to break their silence. But some of them do step forward.

Sid Nachman has announced the release of his latest novel, 'Leena: An Abused, Bruised And Bloodied Woman'. The new release tells the story of unspeakable abuse and healing, from early childhood into adult life. But Leena managed to overcome her experience, transforming a miserable past into a future filled with promise and hope. Sid Nachman recounts her inspiring tale with a dose of acerbic wit that shines through on every page. The end result is a book that is both wildly entertaining and incredibly revealing.

“What I learned from Leena is that true grit is not just in John Wayne’s Rooster Cogburn,” Nachman stated. “It’s in all of us. All we have to do is try a little bit harder to make our impossible dreams come true. Determination, gumption and chutzpah are part of everyone’s gene pool. If, like Leena you truly believe in yourself, it’ll rear its beautiful head quicker than lighting a match.”

Sid Nachman is also the author of 'Bipolar Me'. 'Bipolar Me' provides a penetrating glimpse into the day-to-day experience of a man who dealt with a condition for which there was no name at the time - a time when such chemical imbalances might be diagnosed as a form of schizophrenia and could be treated with electric shock treatment or end up with the sufferer being locked away.

'Bipolar Me' has garnered high praise from readers and reviewers alike. Sid's no-holds-barred writing style produces a work that is filled with hilarious stories that show us that life is just plain good. BookLover USA said that the book is "A roller coaster ride through the mind of one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." It is a highly entertaining memoir that allows readers a glimpse into the unfettered mind of a bipolar boy who never grows up until his hair turns white. Readers will get to see his world in black and white and vivid color and will feel what he feels when he feels like he weighs three thousand pounds and a minute later can leap over tall buildings. Sid's life is a life gone wild that settles down when it’s almost too late.

'Bipolar Me' would bring me great joy if it can convince one person to never give up on themselves and try everyday with all the strength in their body to be a better human being."

Sid's first novel, 'Strictly For Seniors' is a nonfiction work of short stories about what happened to Sid "after breakfast on Delancey Street" in West Philly during the 30’s and 40’s when his Mom gave him a big hug and kiss and sent him on his way. Sid had great fun, survived bullying by hitting the bigger boys about the head with his violin case and developed his own singular brand of “street smarts".

"I wrote 'Strictly for Seniors' to show the readers a world they should never forget and to let them know unequivocally that older people like me can still teach them a thing or two," Nachman stated.

Nachman's books have received fantastic reviews. One stated, "Like James Joyce, Sid Nachman can take the ordinary and turn it into magic with a fluency that's imperceptible." Another said "Sid's stories touch the human soul with wit, charm and realism."

Sid Nachman is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at mollymax210@gmail.com. All books are available at Amazon. More information, including samples from the books and recent interviews with The Authors Show, is available at his website at http://www.sidnachman.com.

About Sid Nachman:

Sid Nachman was the only child of immigrant parents from Russia and Germany who tried for 13 years to have him and were very tired from trying so hard. His initials are S.I.N. for Sidney Irving Nachman. He never found out if he was a sin or a joy. Sid resides in Florida with his wife, Linda and his golden retriever Violet and in spite of his big mouth is still loved by all.
