Rusty Blackwood, Award Winning Indie Author, Announces Book Awards Finalist Placements For The Perils Of Autumn, New Upcoming Romance Novel

Blackwood's latest 5 star romance novel, 'The Perils of Autumn', follows 'Willow’s Walk' and 'Passions In Paris', a romantic fiction novel written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'

Award winning indie author Rusty Blackwood has announced two new awards placements and a new upcoming romance novel.

Blackwood was named as a finalist in the Fiction Romance category by International Book Awards in the 2019 International Book Awards, the 10th annual awards program. She was also named a finalist in the American Book Fest's 2019 awards program in the same category. Both awards were bestowed on her latest romantic fiction drama, "The Perils Of Autumn". The book has received a 5-star rating from Reader's Favorite.

"As a writer, I am honored to have been bestowed these awarded accolades for my latest work, 'The Perils of Autumn'," Rusty Blackwood stated. "This novel was a pure delight to create, and is my favorite thus far, which is why I decided to continue the story in the upcoming 'Return to Autumn'. It is my hope that it will entertain readers in the same way as its forerunner, as it carries the saga to its endearing end."

The Perils Of Autumn:
The latest novel, set primarily in the early 1970’s, centers on a young Kentucky woman. Autumn Leeves is born in 1946 to Abigail Leeves, an unwed mother who struggles to make ends meet. Shunned by society of the time, mother and daughter find themselves in peril until they meet a kind old shopkeeper who takes them in.

By 1970, Autumn graduates nursing school and is sent on assignment by the local hospital to care for the terminally-ill wife of middle-aged English equestrian master, Cyril Landon. Landon is the owner of Landon Lawns Stables, successful thoroughbred racing stable located just outside Lexington, Kentucky. Duff Taylor, world renowned jockey lives full-time at Landon Lawns and enjoys the many benefits it brings. Duff has a dark secret surrounding an unsolved racing incident from his past that he will go to any length to protect.

Autumn arrives at Landon Manor in time to be thrown into the fray, and finds herself caught in the ongoing disruption that ensues. Cyril and Autumn find themselves attracted to each other, but their ensuing romance is plagued by those trying to stop it, but they rise above it and marry. However peril again knocks at the door when Abigail suddenly dies, leaving a pregnant Autumn to mourn her loss while fighting to not miscarry her baby who is born through a perilous birth.

Reviewers have lavished praise on 'The Perils Of Autumn'. Ray Simmons said, "Romance and good writing come together perfectly in Rusty Blackwood's 'The Perils of Autumn'. A great read." Trudi LoPreto said, "This book has it all and more. Please do not pass up 'The Perils of Autumn' - you will not be sorry."

Blackwood has also announced the upcoming release of a new romance novel. The upcoming novel, "Return To Autumn", is the sequel to "The Perils of Autumn".

Return to Autumn:

"Return to Autumn" picks up four year later and sweeps you back to the often-perilous life at Landon Lawns Stables. Life in Landon Manor has carried on for Autumn Leeves-Landon and her mature husband, Cyril, along with their young daughter Abby, and their astute, devoted housekeeper and friend, Agnes Harris.

Life in the thoroughbred stables has also carried on, along with head groom and trainer, Manfred Montgomery, head foreman, William Brown, with their ongoing plight to bring Duff Taylor, Landon Lawns’ exclusive jockey, to justice for suspicious involvement in an unsolved racing incident. Duff has also managed to add to his growing page of secrets, that of which is about to be revealed, culminating in a life-altering revenge that threatens to ruin Landon Lawns Stables.

Blackwood's previous 5-star rated romantic fiction novel, 'Willow's Walk', followed the release of 'Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary'.

Willow's Walk:

Willow's Walk' is a gripping tale that holds readers captive from the very first page. Set in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada in 2003, this touching story centers on the life and times of a woman determined to prevail at all costs, regardless of what is set before her, the result of which is certain to leave the reader reeling in its wake.

'Willow's Walk' also received a number of 5 star reviews from professional reviewers. Maria Beltran stated, "I highly recommend this book." Gisela Dixon said, “I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the life of a person presented in such a wonderful manner." Another said, "Brutally honest. I was touched by the bittersweet conclusion that sometimes purpose and happiness are only found through great tragedy ..."

Passions in Paris:
Blackwood's first romantic fiction novel is a sweeping saga written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'. It has been compared to Erich Segal's 'Love Story' and Nicholas Sparks' 'The Notebook'.

'Passions in Paris' likewise received rave reviews. Linkk Kula Kane said, "Passions in Paris I think stands its ground with these other powerful romantic stories like 'The Notebook' by Nicolas Sparks." Reader Fred Pifer stated that “'Passions', is a fascinating book of a love story that seemed to be written with me in mind. In the book 'Love Story' by Erich Segal, he told of a deep abiding love story that reminds me of Cullen and Joy’s in Ms. Blackwood’s book, but the twists of intrigue and mystery that she adds keeps the reader on edge throughout."

Information on all of Blackwood's work is available at Blackwood's site. Readers can download paperback and Kindle versions of her books at Amazon sites worldwide, including Amazon.ca.'Rusty Blackwood, A 3 Part Retrospect' is available at her website and on Youtube.

Rusty Blackwood is available for interview in the Toronto and Niagara areas and can be reached using the information below or by email at writerrusty@hotmail.ca. More information is available at her website at http://www.rusty-blackwood.com.

Covid-19, Cancer, And Light Therapy - Research Indicates Light Therapy As Promising Alternative Says Bernard Fleury, Award-Winning Author Of The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection In The Medicine Of Light

Fleury's highly praised book, 'The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection In The Medicine Of Light', presents compelling evidence for light-based therapies that are both effective and non-invasive.

Alternative therapies often get a bad rap. This is due to the fact that some alternative therapies have not been researched to the degree necessary to gain wide acceptance in the medical community. Our interest in alternative therapies has been piqued recently due to the Covid-19 pandemic, an insidious disease for which there is currently no cure or vaccine.

Cancer is another malady for which there is no cure. While alternative therapies to cure cancer abound, few show any real promise. There is one form of therapy that has been heavily researched and has proven to produce positive results however. That therapy is light therapy, and light therapy is the subject of 'The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection In The Medicine Of Light' by award winning author Bernard Fleury, Ed.D.

In his book, Fleury gives us an overview of what has been made possible and what may still be possible in the future. In this 5-star rated book, Fleury demonstrates that light-based medicine is painless and heals without the side effects that are often worse than the disease being treated.

His research is impeccable, and his evidence is very convincing. Fleury explores how light-based medicine may be used to treat a number of afflictions including cancer, viruses, microbes, arthritis, fibromyalgia, ostheoarthritis, ostheoporosis, stroke, wounds and many other medical conditions.

The research of one man, Royal Rife, and the subsequent use (and or misuse) of his theories and work history figure prominently in the book.

"Royal Raymond Rife’s work is centered on light," Fleury stated. "His microscope uses light to stain live viruses. It does not kill the virus. MORS (A type of Radio-Frequency) are basically light in one of its forms. MORS are varying frequencies which emit a corresponding color to their frequency. When a virus is exposed to the correct color (frequency), the virus is destroyed by the resonance."

“Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to put in remission.

“Patient E.S. had a big 4 cm. tumor next to a major artery. Without surgery as a possibility, chances for survival are less than ten percent.

“After seven rounds of chemotherapy, the tumor shrunk to 1.2cm, but still there, and every other rapidly dividing cell in his body was destroyed.

“Drs. Chapellier and Matta looked for an alternative treatment. After considerable research they chose the PERL-M, a Resonant Light Technology device. Treatment sessions began on October 4, 2013. After one week, E.S. experienced improved sleep, lessening diabetic challenges, and an increased feeling of well being.

“A CT Scan on November 17, showed that the tumor had shrunk to the point of being indistinguishable.

“By December 9, testing confirmed the absence of any cancer on the pancreas.

CF. pp. 162-165 in The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection In The Medicine Of Light .

Nearly all of Bernard's books center squarely on the theme of Light as a Someone and a Something. He believes we are all Called Into Life By The Light. Life and Light are tied together. Lifelight describes their relationship best because both our “without” (our physical being) and our “within” (our spirit) are basically light in two different forms:

1. Physical energy that occupies space, has weight, can be measured, and

2. Psychic or spiritual energy which is a force that causes things to happen and, thus, real energy, but it does not occupy space, have weight, nor can it be empirically measured.

Fleury's book has received a number of 5-star rated reviews. Kayti Nika Raet stated, "I found The Mind-Body-Spirit in the Medicine of Light by Bernard Fleury to be well written and informative. It is written in a way that makes for easy consumption and understanding, while at the same time provides gems for all aspects of life. Fleury offers a convincing array of evidence from several sources, and the knowledge provides many tools that the reader can use to grow and thrive."

Reviewer Ruffino Oserio stated, "This is one of the first medical books I have read that offers methods combining science and a holistic approach to treatment in a stunning manner. There is a spiritual as well as a philosophical aspect of this book that readers will enjoy as well. The book is well-researched and offers surprising discoveries about the energy of light, which comes primarily from the sun and is present in different life forms. This isn’t just a book for people seeking to be cured of an illness, but one that proposes a path to general wellness and wholeness of mind, body, and spirit. . . Bernard Fleury’s book is a gift for those who want to experience life deeply."

Reviewer Samantha Dewitt (Rivera) said, "This book is all about the power of light and the way that it can help the body to heal and to become stronger. As we come to recognize even more capabilities from light, scientists are starting to develop additional treatments and ways to harness its abilities with light therapy. Once we do, it’s possible to truly achieve the best for ourselves. There’s definitely more to be discovered, but The Mind-Body-Spirit in the Medicine of Light is a great start.”

Bernard was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. His honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

A Collection Of Captivating Stories About Special Needs Children Featured In Upcoming Book By Jody Sharpe, Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder - https://bit.ly/3d6fcoM

Sharpe's previously published books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.

[Wilmington, NC, June 16, 2020] If we are honest we must admit we make assumptions about special needs kids. Jody Sharpe, an award winning author and former teacher, breaks those assumptions in her upcoming book; a book that is as entertaining as it is illuminating. Readers will likely never look at special needs children in the same way again.

Sharpe worked with special needs kids for many years. In 'Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder', She gives us a penetrating and remarkable look at her day to day interaction with her students that will likely be of interest to educators, counselors and parents. It is a book that will both entertain and inform.

“I never wonder what life would have been like without my career teaching students with special needs.”, Sharpe stated “It's been a life enriched with hope, love and awakening. These children, unknowingly, are heaven's gift to us all.”

The new book follows her recently released children's book about angels, "When The Angel Sent Butterflies". The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

Jody's works center on angels on earth and the expression of their love and protection through synchronicity. On the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

In Sharpe's earlier, highly acclaimed novels, angels take on human form and interact with humanity in a variety of ways:

Town of Angels - It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…

To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Sharpe presents stories and interviews about angels in her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series. She is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards'. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Profile:

Jody Sharpe had a rewarding career as a Special Education teacher. Writing about angels became healing after losing her daughter and then her husband. The valuable lessons she learned about moving forward and loving life in the now have set her on a mission to tell the stories with love, humor and spiritual awakening. The fictitious town of Mystic Bay has given her an avenue to put characters and themes together hopefully enlightening the reader towards contemplation of the precious life and memories we are given.

A Country In Crisis: Covid-19 Survivor And Award Winning Author Cheryl Williams Believes That Regardless Of Prejudice And Hatred, There Is Hope

Williams took top honors in the Top Female Author awards program for her recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'.

The murder of George Floyd has created yet another crisis for America. Unlike the Covid-19 pandemic, this one is self-made. This has caused a social upheaval in US society that can only be compared to what occurred in America in the 1960's.

Cheryl Williams is an author, poet, musician and film maker who is a master of both poetry and prose. She took top honors in the Top Female Author awards program for her recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. She is also a black woman with asthma who managed to survive the coronavirus.

In response to the crisis surrounding the death of George Floyd, Cheryl recently posted a new video featuring her latest work, 'A Country In Crisis' on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNaWQxx6ti4&feature=youtu.be.

A Country In Crisis

A Country in crisis
A Country in pain
Since the crisis
Is a result of the pain
We must treat the pain
To alleviate the crisis
If we ignore the pain
The crisis will remain

People of good conscience are frustrated and we must express that. Williams still believes there is hope however. She recently had this to say:

"As a mother, watching Mr. Floyd’s last breath squeezed out of him, as he desperately pleaded for air, left my heart heavy and my spirit broken.

"As a nurse, not being able to administer life saving techniques to help save his life left me feeling helpless and angry.

"The pain of hatred and injustice have plagued the very existence of Black America for over 400 years.

"For years, we have engaged in expressions of protests and riots as a way to stand up against injustice and bring about change.

"Yet we keep coming back to the same place.

"George Floyd’s death brought us to a breaking point once again in our history.

"So many across America, of every creed and race have risen up to join the fight against racism, social injustice and its devastating effects on our communities.

"America is in crisis once again, because we fail to acknowledge the root cause of the ever recurring crisis.

"The effects of social injustice doesn't only affect people of color. The destruction and devastation that usually follows, when communities stand up and demand justice, adversely affects us all.

"We must treat the pain to help eradicate the crisis. Ignoring the pain, will further escalate the crisis.

"Throughout history people have fought for freedom, equality and justice. People have fought for change.

"So many have argued that implementing peaceful measures is the most effective way to bring about change.

"I am an advocate for peaceful resolutions… but bringing about a change peacefully would require us to abandon our biases, respect each others differences, and stand up against social injustices.

"Until we acknowledge the fact that we are all a part of the human race, created in God’s own image and likeness. Genesis1:27

"Until we are able to empathize with our brothers and sisters of color, and their struggles for equality and justice, we will never address the pain and the ever present crisis will remain.

'Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.' - Dr. Martin Luther King

"Today, even though we are currently living through a chaotic moment in history. In the midst of it all there is hope.

"As we look through the endless crowds of protestors and see the faces of so many young Americans joining the movement for change, it is evident that there is hope for the future after all."
"
She also recently posted a mesmerizing account of her coronavirus experience in a Youtube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpN7nMt8gf0&t=91s.

Williams was named Top Female Author in the 2019 Top Female Author Awards in the poetry category. The win came as the result of her most recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. Williams was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors by a panel of judges.

Writing has helped Williams connect with her inner self, finding positive ways to cope with life's struggles. She has been writing and singing for as long as she can remember.

Throughout her childhood she sang in both the church and school choir, and also enjoyed singing at talent shows and music festivals. As an adult she also participated in concerts, performing as a solo artist.

Music and writing are the tools that bring her fulfillment and healing. Her book, 'A Collection Of Poems', takes us through the power of the human mind, good or bad, and its impact on one's direction and journey through life.

With the help of music, writing, and positive thinking, Williams found hope and purpose in life. Life isn't fair. It is unpredictable, bad things happen to good people, and we never know what tomorrow holds. Cheryl wants her readers to realize that even when faced with insurmountable, hopeless situations, even when life seems dark and uncertain, we should never let go of hope and appreciate the beauty and blessings that life has to offer, making the most of every day, loving, living, laughing, and learning. Seasons change, and there is always a rainbow after the storms of life.

Cheryl Williams is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at cherylw27@aol.com. 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life' is available at Amazon. More information, including a number of videos and a collection of music, is available at her website at https://cherylhot6.wixsite.com/cherylpwilliams.

About Cheryl Williams:

Cheryl Williams is a wife, mother, author, and nurse by profession, with a passion for the Arts.

Her love for poetry started at the tender age of five when she recited the poem "Grandfather Frog” for a school function. Six years later, her world was turned upside down after her mother suffered a massive stroke. During those uncertain times, music, writing, and poetry helped her cope.

As a teenager, whenever she wasn’t caring for her mother, Cheryl spent her free time writing and directing short plays as a form of entertainment for the children in her neighborhood.

She enjoyed singing in the church and school choir, while also performing publicly as a soloist in concerts and talent shows. As a result of her mother’s illness and her responsibility to help care for her, Cheryl was inspired to pursue nursing as a way to help others heal; the same way writing and music helped her find a path to healing. She resides in New York.

Covid-19, The Elderly And Loneliness - Helping Yourself Grow Old, New Book By Award Winning Author France Fuller, Addresses The Plight Of Loneliness For Seniors

Multi-award winning author Frances Fuller offers a unique outlook on aging based on her own experience. Frances Fuller’s book has arrived at the right time, just as Covid-19 isolated a lot of people who don’t need to be alone.

Social isolation and lockdowns go against human nature, as we are social creatures by nature. For the elderly and shut-ins, doubly so. Many seniors, even those with support systems, can experience a loss of connectedness and feel cut off. For those without support systems, the challenge can be overwhelming. Loneliness and isolation, regardless of age, have the potential to exacerbate both physical and mental health conditions.

In her highly lauded book on aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety’, Frances Fuller gives us a penetrating glimpse of loneliness:

"Lately I have noticed an emotional neediness that does not feel natural. Lonely on Sunday afternoons and at the end of a normal day, I grab my phone or my tablet, looking for a text from someone. Sometimes I keep it near me while I try to read a book or watch a game on television, thinking that I have a big family; surely someone is thinking of me, remembering that I am here, needing to talk to someone.

"But, what do I want to talk about? Do I have something to tell? Not really. I just want to hear their story. How is your job going? What did you learn today? Did you see the ball game? When are you coming? To keep them going, I make up trivial questions.

"The real problem is my neediness. They are busy. They have a lot of people besides me in their lives. They can’t know that none of the other twenty-four members of the family are talking to me tonight. They don’t have any big news or I would hear it. They are in a meeting. They have to study for tomorrow. They are grading student papers. They are practicing for the Easter musical. They are out with friends and it would be rude to answer a text right now. In other words, they have a life. Good for them. Be proud. Take care of yourself for goodness sake."

There are many great books on aging available. However, many of them were written from an academic point of view. Most are penned by sociologists, doctors, gerontologists, even the CEO of AARP, and one by a Catholic nun, Joan Chittister. Chittister's book, 'The Gift of Years' is beautifully written, focusing on spiritual values and finding meaning in life. Chittister admits in the preface that she was only 70, which is the front edge of aging, and her book is somewhat abstract.

Atul Gawande’s book, 'On Being Mortal', relates medicine and old age, It enjoys high Amazon rankings, in the category of “the sociology of aging.” It contains a great deal of valuable scientific information and shows understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

Frances Fuller’s book, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.

Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, irresistible — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.

The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”

For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:

Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)

and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.

Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old is truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."

Frances' prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards. Frances Fuller was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. It received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.

Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. Fuller's books are available at Amazon and other book retailers. A free ebook sample from 'In Borrowed Houses' is available at http://www.payhip.com/francesfuller. More information, including discussion questions for 'Helping Yourself Grow Old', is available at her website at http://www.francesfullerauthor.com.

Rebooting During The Pandemic Downtime - Award Winning Selfie Filmmaker Barbara Becker Holstein Shows Us How To Come Out On The Other Side Better, Stronger, More Resilient

Dr. Holstein is an award winning Selfie Filmmaker, Positive Psychologist and podcaster who helps us overcome anxiety and alienation through multiple media channels.

There are generally two ways to view the situation the pandemic lockdown has created. We can see it as a problem, a nuisance, a troublesome event. Or we can see it as an opportunity to reboot and prepare to come out the other side better, stronger and more resilient. Award winning Selfie filmmaker and Positive Psychologist Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein strongly believes the pandemic offers us an opportunity to dramatically improve our lives by using the time to reboot, paying attention to six key ideas:

1. Sleep
2. Exercise
3. Nutrition
4. Socializing
5. Using Your Past to Enhance Your Future
6. Creating an historical record

In a new video, https://vimeo.com/426513471, Dr. Holstein offers some sage advice regarding how to take the first steps. But, being an award winning filmmaker, she wants us to focus on number 6 - creating a record for future generations. She intends to create an historical record of selfie films from pandemic survivors and is now actively seeking selfie videos for the collection. Those who wish to submit their own selfie films can do so at http://www.SelfieFilmmakers.com.

"You are part of an historical ‘moment’, Dr Holstein stated. “It may feel like forever now, but the day will come when the pandemic is over. Historians will look back in 1000 years and wonder how we handled this pandemic. Hopefully, they will live in a world that no longer has viruses. So, help them out. Take advantage of your cell phones and record a record of your life during the pandemic. Video your family or housemates, show the future what you cooked, the puzzles you made, the homework setup at the kitchen table. Interview each other about how the pandemic is affecting you. What you hope the future will be like. What you are worried most about. What you may do differently in the future. I am sure you will come up with lots of interesting things to talk about and show. After all, you are a survivor. So let the rebooting start!"

Dr. Holstein's talk about Rebooting During The Pandemic can be found on both Vimeo and on the Roku channel, titled as 'The Enchanted Self Presents'.

Dr. Holstein recently created The Selfie Showcase, a new project emerging from The Selfie Project, that allows young people to voice their opinions on subjects that matter to young people. She is now accepting submissions from the public for the "Selfie Showcase" and is actively seeking change-makers and mental health professionals to appear on her monthly video podcasts.

The Selfie Showcase allows kids, teens, and young adults ages 13 to 18 to candidly express their concerns, worries, observations and possible solutions by creating selfies or selfie films around important subjects, using a smartphone. Dr. Holstein's mission is to help rectify, in a number of ways, some of the issues young people face by giving them a chance to engage with others in meaningful ways about the anxiety and stress they must grapple with constantly.

Selected participants may appear on the Selfie Project Channel, available on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3uaOTcYF70z5CpBh11VoUQ. They will also appear in the Selfie Showcase on SelfieFilmmakers.com. They will receive a certificate of merit and may be invited to be on Holstein's monthly podcast or perhaps be a part of her next film. Full details, rules for submission and helpful hints can be accessed at the Selfie Filmmakers site at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com/instructions.

Dr. Holstein's unique Selfie Films have taken many awards and have been shown in many film festivals and competitions. Most notable among these are:

The Selfie Project - Accepted at 20 film festivals or film competitions

Conflict and A Bit Of Magic: A Coming Of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 19 film festivals or film competitions

Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction: A Coming of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 16 film festivals or film competitions. Also, the song ‘Truths Change and Still Remain’ won an award at the Florence film Festival.

Secrets: A Coming of Age Selfie Film - Accepted at 9 film festivals or film competitions

Lockdown - Accepted at 14 film festivals or film competitions

The Truth: A Short Film - Accepted at 8 film festivals or film competitions. The Song from this film won an award for the best Pop Song of 2016 at the Garden State Film Festival.

Falling in Love, A Coming of Age, Selfie Film-Accepted at 15 film festivals or film competitions.

'Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, A Coming Of Age Selfie Film', and 'The Selfie Project' both directed and created by Dr. Holstein, was shown in Manhattan on February 26 in the Anthology Building as part of the NewFilmmakers Special Program on Women Filmmakers.

Holstein's podcast series is actively seeking change-makers and visionaries to appear on her monthly podcasts. Dr. Holstein hopes to feature members of traditional media, mental health professionals and educators who can make a real difference in the lives of young people. Many of the podcasts feature young people - to give them a voice regarding their concerns and their solutions. Guests, if accepted, can arrange to appear by contacting Dr. Holstein directly.

Dr. Holstein also makes a number of her books and films available to be used as fundraising tools. She requests that any verified charitable organization interested in raising funds contact her via email.

She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at barbara.holstein@gmail.com. More information about the Selfie Showcase is available at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com. Pandemic reboot selfie films can be uploaded at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com. George Floyd Murder, Covid-19 Pandemic And Unemployment: The Book Of Proverbs Can Provide The Guidance We Desperately Need Today Says Award Winning Author Donna Louis

Louis is the multi-award-winning author of two Christian books, 'Miracles of Direction' and 'Book of Proverbs: Wisdom Vs Wilderness'. Louis’ books reveal God’s desire for their happiness and joy.

The United States, indeed the entire world, is experiencing a level of tension and strife unlike anything seen in recent history. The Covid-19 pandemic. Record unemployment. And now demonstrations all over the US as the result of the murder of George Floyd. Any one of these traumatic events alone could cause us to be anxious, depressed, fearful and angry. Today we are experiencing all of them simultaneously.

This is a colossal mental health challenge. Where can we turn for help? Award winning author Donna Louis believes that through exploring the wisdom found in the Book of Proverbs we can turn the adversity found in the world into an opportunity to get closer to God.

"In this present season of life," Louis stated, "we are all dealing with several distressing issues such as the Covid-19 virus, financial issues, immigration, election integrity and many others. However, the biggest wolf right now is racism."

"One would have thought that after people such as Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, and many others that this issue would have been conquered and in our distant past. However, that is untrue. It is staring us straight in the eyes like when you shoot a bullseye dart and it lands dead center. We are presently dealing with the unthinkable loss of life with George Floyd."

"And now we see demonstrations all over the US and worldwide in places such as these: Denmark Copenhagen, Barcelona Spain, Paris France, Paderborn Germany, Liverpool Great Britian, Idlib Syria, Sydney Australia, Berlin Germany, Amsterdam Netherlands, Athens Greece, Belguim Brussles, Toronto Canada, Mexico City Mexico, Istanbul Turkey, Milan Italy, Rio De Janiero, Tokoyo Japan, Cape Town South Africa and many more as the result of the murder of George Floyd.

"With all the emotional anguish, pain, tears, anger, and a host of other issues that is inside of us we need to remember that the battle is not ours but the Lord's. We are to pray and worship and leave it in the hands of God. We have the right to protest but it needs to be peaceful protesting like how it was with Martin Luther King Jr. We are not to sink to the levels of the ones we are trying to rise above and teach the values of love, humanity, peace, dignity, and a host of other things."

"Looting and burning down businesses are not the right things to do. Remember the phrase 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' These business owners have suffered enough with being closed for this Covid-19 issue. They are not the ones who had their knee on the neck of George Floyd for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, so do not punish them. Protest non-violently, pray, and worship."

More is available at her website at http://www.miraclebook.net.

Louis' latest book, 'Book of Proverbs, Wisdom vs. Wilderness' delves deeply into the timeless human quest for wisdom. As all Christians know, the primary purpose of the Biblical Book of Proverbs is to teach wisdom. The Book of Proverbs provides intellectual depth, insights and exceptional wisdom on how to live a meaningful, joyful and tranquil life by honoring and respecting God as omnipotent.

The new release discusses all chapters in Proverbs 1-31 and brings insight, clarity, and basic meaning to several verses in each chapter. It clarifies why wisdom is not only essential, but mandatory in life, if one hopes to live a blessed life, versus living destitute, empty, or feeling lost or hopeless.

Louis has won a number of industry awards. She was recently chosen as the winner in the 2018 Top Female Author Awards in the Religion/Philosophy/Spiritual category. Louis was chosen from an international field of contestants by a panel of judges. She was also a recent winner in the 2018 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards.

Louis' recent wins follow three awards in the 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards contest (2015, 2016 and 2017), and two nominations in the Top Female Authors Awards.

Donna Louis' first book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' helps readers explore miracles both past and present. The book explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful examples of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced four miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

'Miracles' has received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Donna Louis is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at donnalouisgodsmessenger@aol.com. More information is available at her website. Both books are available at Payhip at http://bit.ly/1jFX4qs, at Barnes and Noble at http://bit.ly/2LECI1h and at Xulon press at http://bit.ly/2P4ezU5. More information is available at her website at http://www.miraclebook.net.

About Donna Louis:

Donna Louis is happily married to her husband of 35 years Patrick Louis and currently resides in Florida. She lives to accomplish the task that God created her for and on a daily basis to follow Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Coping With The Grief Of A Death In The Family - There Is Hope Says Laura Prince, Author Of Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration

Laura Prince's new book detailing the death of her brother has been called "insightful", "powerful" "vivid" "absorbing" and "spellbinding".

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought us many of us face to face with the necessity of dealing with the unexpected loss of those we love. Death does not respect position, stature, rank or authority. A recent article in the Twin Cities Pioneer Press presented the story of the death of the brother of Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan. Another on ABC News featured Elizabeth Warren, talking about the death of her brother. Perhaps the most compelling of all was the story of Elizabeth Fusco, presented on CNN Health, who lost her mother, a sister and two brothers to the coronavirus - all within one week.

The death of anyone with whom we have a connection can be overwhelming - the death of a family member even more so.

Montreal resident Laura Prince, author of 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration', offers some important words of wisdom that can help anyone affected by tragedy take the first steps toward healing:

“I am so grateful for the universal compassion of people today and with all the avenues of interaction available; the Internet being paramount, and the ability to express, study, exchange and learn about the development and treatment of very serious issues. These avenues offer a huge support system to the suffering.

“However I’ve also learned that without a huge and continued effort to heal from life’s upheavals, many things can never change. Recovering from enormous trauma, as in the sudden accidental death of my brother became a kind of ‘life endeavor’ of mine; which continues until today; not an obsession, but an endeavor. I am so much better, but still have that underlying sadness....it will always be there, and I am always working on it.

“You can share in my sadness in “Sibling Loss”, but as well, in the joy I experienced in eventually being able to celebrate my brother's brief but beautiful life, and how I slowly worked my way into a place of quiet joy and gratitude.”

Readers and reviewers alike have praised Sibling Loss. One called it "The best story illustrating the long term consequences of unresolved childhood grief that I have seen." Another said, "Sibling Loss: A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration is an excellent read and one I would recommend to everyone."

Allan Schnarr, of the Center for Grief Recovery in Chicago said, "Sibling Loss is not a book you read at a dispassionate distance. It is not for you if you choose to avoid facing your losses, not unless you become willing to turn around and face yourself. The reading is a deeply personal encounter with Laura, as she lays bare the unspeakable tragedy of the death of her beloved brother. As you encounter Laura, the mirror she offers will draw you in to the journey inside your own broken heart . . .There is so much to learn here about longing for love, losing love, and searching for it unwaveringly. This is the thread weaving Laura’s narrative. It is at the archetypal core of each journey through life, love lost and found.

"Laura makes it clear that fully grieving the loss of love brings one to a new home, a renewed discovery of love, a love strong enough and wise enough to walk through each new loss with durable, irrepressible grace. Thank you Laura”

Laura’s story, 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration', is a book that would be appropriate for anyone who has ever lost, or will ever lose a sibling. That would be nearly all of us.
