Alcohol And Drug Addiction Recovery - Harriet Hunter, Author Of Bestselling Book About Alcoholism Recovery, Miracles Of Recovery, Recognizes Those Who Help Others Achieve Sobriety

Harriet Hunter's award-winning, bestselling book became the first-place recipient of the coveted President’s Award in nonfiction from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. Miracles features 365 powerful daily inspirations from a holistic view of recovery.

Millions of people, all over the world, work toward helping people achieve a lasting recovery from alcohol and drugs. Doctors, other medical professionals of every kind, and counselors are joined by millions of "non-professionals" who work tirelessly to achieve the same goals.

Most of them, especially those in 12-Step programs, remain anonymous. While their work is vitally important, they receive no praise or thanks publicly. Yet they do it nevertheless, day in and day out, one day at a time. Some cannot work behind the scenes, as they are under a spotlight, literally and figuratively.

Russell Brand wrote a book on the subject, titled "Recovery". Elizabeth Vargas has become a voice for the recovery community. Jamie Lee Curtis works on anti-drug campaigns after becoming clean and sober. Jessica Simpson wrote about her addiction in her memoir. Demi Lovato suffered a near fatal relapse and come back. MacKenzie Phillips struggled with addiction for many years and now helps others overcome those same addictions. Matthew Perry, Robert Downey Jr., the list goes on and on. These very recognizable people deserve our thanks and praise, as do those whom we have not met and will never know.

No matter who you are or where you are, no matter your status or position, you can recover. Alcoholics and drug addicts need support and they need tools. The support is in place, in every segment of our society, as are the necessary tools.

Harriet Hunter's bestselling book, Miracles Of Recovery, is one such tool.

Featuring 365-daily inspirations. Miracles of Recovery was written not just for those addicted, but for the parents, the spouses - anyone touched by the disease, because addiction is absolutely a family affair. Using the foundation of 12-Step Recovery, Miracles of Recovery embraces holistic suggestions as a practical approach for those who must face life on life’s terms, clean and sober. Encouraging and thought-provoking, Miracles of Recovery inspires with Universal Truths, “Because,” Harriet says, “once we know better, we do better.”

Substance abuse issues have been on the increase, primarily due to the overwhelming effects of a global pandemic. The National Institute of Alcohol and Alcohol Abuse mentioned in 2018 that 88,000 people die each year to alcohol-related deaths. They go on to say that globally, alcohol misuse was the fifth leading risk factor for premature death and disability in 2010. Now these statistics look even more dire with the onslaught of the Pandemic effect: premature death, isolation, job loss and so much more.

While there are many treatment approaches and programs, what is common to successful individuals who find themselves within a substance abuse program is the shared pain and the loneliness, often with an ongoing support system for the person battling the disease. That support system is what Harriet Hunter offers in “Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage and Faith.”

Miracles of Recovery shows through personal examples how to achieve long-term sobriety by embracing new behavior and positive reinforcement, regardless of what happens in one’s life. She offers a personal, sometimes raw reflection of the truth about addiction seldom seen elsewhere.

Tools necessary to maintain sobriety and change one's life through changing one’s perspective are also proposed. Miracles of Recovery suggests that readers "Do life differently," through exercises, solutions, and methods to improve self-esteem, confidence, and embrace a profound sense of hope needed to succeed. The author spurs the reader to embrace the belief that, regardless of challenges life presents, “NOTHING can change the course of recovery when you keep yourself, your sobriety, and your Higher Power first in your life.” In short, Miracles of Recovery offers hope where there is none through a simple program of actions for complicated people.

Hunter has received rave reviews for her work from readers and reviewers alike. Vernita Taylor of Readers Favorite stated, “Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage, and Faith by Harriet Hunter is a great choice if you’re struggling with addiction because it offers a full year of inspiration and affirmations which I enjoyed. I see this book as a mentor or sponsor that is walking by your side and helping to lead you to a better, more improved you while teaching you how to deal with your stressors. The best teacher is someone who has been there and done that, and this book doesn’t disappoint. The author knows first-hand what it takes and how it feels to be addicted. If you need help along your journey, pick up a copy of this book; it’s highly recommended.”

Anthony Capozzolli of Dismantled Life Podcast said, “Miracles of Recovery has been a feast for my recovering soul. Every page is filled with love and helpful insights that lead to discovery. I read each page by date and randomly turn to other pages for an additional spiritual hug when I need one. It’s almost as if Harriet wrote her wonderful book for me. Page after page hits so close to home I often tear up from positive awareness and clarity of emotion.” Readers can find more 5-Star reviews from others on Amazon.

Miracles of Recovery received the first place President’s Award in nonfiction from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association.

Since her walk into recovery in 1999, Harriet has had one primary purpose: to show others how they can find hope and achieve their miracles while staying sober with a vision and determination to never go backwards, one day at a time.

Using her experience strength and hope, Harriet strives to be a conduit of hope and encouragement to others in their addictions, by showing them what continues to work for others. With practical tools, principles and promises as found in A.A., and other 12-step programs, she mirrors examples of how anyone can be free from the bondage of self, regardless of their situation.

With each purchase of a personalized autograph copy of Miracles of Recovery from her website, Hunter provides a no-charge copy of her e-book, "Your Daily Reprieve; How To Maintain Long-Term Sobriety Serenely Just For Today" in PDF format.

Details are available at her website at https://harriethunter.org/product/miracles-of-recovery-autographed-paperback-2/

About Harriet Hunter:

With over 22 years of sobriety, Harriet has worked with hundreds of women who suffer with alcoholism and drug addiction to help them find peace in active sobriety, and sponsors women both face-to-face and online. Readers can find her in the global recovery site, Intherooms.com, where she’s been given her own room and brings Miracles to life each Sunday at 2:00 P.M. EST.

What Was The Vietnam War Really Like? Jack Billups, Veteran And Author Of Bestselling Vietnam Memoir, My Vietnam, Looks At The Hit Movie Platoon

Billups’ book is a stunning piece of writing that will likely take its place as one of the best Vietnam memoirs ever written. Here, he draws a comparison between Hollywood movies and his on-the-ground experiences.

The Vietnam War has been the subject of a large number of mega-hit Hollywood movies. One of those movies is "Platoon". According to Wikipedia, the movie "is a 1986 American war film written and directed by Oliver Stone, starring Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, Charlie Sheen, Keith David, Kevin Dillon, John C. McGinley, Forest Whitaker, and Johnny Depp. It is the first film of a trilogy of Vietnam War films directed by Stone, followed by Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Heaven & Earth (1993)".

The movie has been described as "pulse-pounding" and "heart-wrenching". No small wonder, as the film features an all-star cast and was directed by the legendary Stone himself. But we must ask, "Does the movie accurately portray what the Vietnam War was really like?" In some ways, yes. But in others, no.

That said, we must understand that such an experience defies description, and is beyond the ability of film to adequately convey. Even given the best of portrayals, the staggering toll taken on both mind and body due to the ever-present anxiety, hellish stress levels and the insufferable terror of having one's life on the line, second by second, 24-7, for month after month, remain incomprehensible to the rest of us. Books do a better job perhaps, as they allow us to experience not only actions, but also the feelings of those performing those actions.

Jack Billups, author of the bestselling Vietnam War memoir, "My Vietnam", recently offered some insight regarding what the Vietnam War was really like, as compared to versions that has been portrayed on the big screen.

"Chris, (Charlie Sheen) is a young man who volunteered like me for the same reasons, as noted in my book. His grandfather served in WW1 and his father in WW2.

"The scenes at the beginning and the end of the movie, when Chris was thinking to himself, were spot on. At the end he was flying out of the field to return home. His thoughts were, 'the war is over now, but it will always be there the rest of my life. For those of us who did make it have an obligation to build again, to teach others what we know. And to try, with what’s left of our lives, to find a goodness and meaning to this life.'

"This is exactly what I believe I accomplished in writing my book.

"The movie portrayed well the misery the jungle hosted. The heat, rain, bugs and creatures; this was not exaggerated as it added to the frustration and insanity.

"The firefights were fairly accurate, however, the killing of the village people and burning down of their homes was definitely the exception and not the rule.

"The way the leaders treated those under them was unrealistic, as detailed in the book. Mutual respect was more the case regardless of rank. There were arguments at times, but the bullying of new guys and going as far as killing a fellow soldier is unlikely. When Blacks and Whites were in the bush, there was no segregation. On the contrary, it was fairly easy to become friends with those from another race.

"One scene really hit home when Chris was on guard duty. It was dark, raining, shadows and noises. I recall the terror of those same moments.

"The movie also portrayed that no one cared about new soldiers coming into the field - not true. Everyone in the bush wanted to survive and go home. The FNG’s just had to wait longer.

"Overall the movie was effective allowing the viewer to experience what Chris was thinking and feeling.

Finally, it’s notable how Chris changed from the beginning to the end of his tour, that was accurate and is similar to what I related in the book".

Bestselling author Jack Billups, as a 19-year-old Army volunteer, received the Bronze Star with the V attachment. He was awarded the Air Medal, which went to those who participated in combat aerial missions. Assigned to the 1st Air Calvary infantry as an M60 machine gunner, Jack served in the steamy jungles near the Ho Chi Minh trail along the Cambodian border. Recently he received a number of awards and official commendations for his service during the Vietnam War, a story that eventually became a bestselling Vietnam memoir, My Vietnam: A Gift To My Daughter.

“From what I’ve been able to tell, most people see the Vietnam war through the prism of two-hour movies,” Billups wrote. “Its blood, guts, firefights, and death the entire time. Hollywood, how they distort things! The reality was different; it would be more accurate to select any Vietnam movie and stretch it out over a year.”

My Vietnam is, at its core, a love story, combined with a dramatic and searing account of the Vietnam War experience. That experience is shared with a family member, in the most intimate way possible - a return trip to the battlefields of Vietnam.

Billups' memoir puts the reader into a pair of combat boots, and allows them to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch the Vietnam combat experience in vivid detail. That is but part of the story.

"Hey Dad, please share your Vietnam experiences?" Naomi's request set into motion a journey, 50 years into the past, as a "grunt" in the steamy jungles of Vietnam. Four months later with his memoir completed, Naomi asked, "Dad, let's go to Vietnam, just you and me?" Could the ghosts of Vietnam past morph into a father and daughter blessing in the present?

George C. Colclough, Col. Inf (ret) USAR, former president and CEO of Smith & Wesson, stated in the introduction to the book, "Just another Vietnam War book? Certainly not, Jack takes you down two roads as he embarks on one remarkable journey with his daughter. First, Jack effectively articulates his story in such a way that puts the reader into the boots of a grunt, causing them to feel what he felt, and understand the daunting challenges of those who traveled the Vietnam jungle.

"Secondly, Jack and his daughter continued this remarkable adventure as they traveled back to Vietnam to return to the places where her father had so many vivid experiences. A wonderful story!"

What really sets this bestselling memoir apart is Billups' writing style. There is no pretense; nothing feels forced or contrived, made up or embellished. Billups presents his real-life characters in such a way as to make the reader feel intimately familiar with each of the members of his very young band of brothers, warts and all. Billups tells it exactly as it was.

His style holds through the second part of the book, describing his return to Vietnam and the jaw-dropping changes now evident in modern day Vietnam. One of the highlights of the second part of the book is the reunion, bringing those somewhat innocent young men back together many decades later as mature men. Readers will get a vivid look, from many points of view, at how the Vietnam experience changed the lives of those who lived through that experience.

It is also a compelling memoir that reconciles America and Vietnam, then and now, including the culture shock of seeing Vietnam as it exists today. It offers a heartfelt and heartwarming message to the people of both countries, and a greater understanding of what the old song "Ruby" called "that crazy Asian war."

Readers and reviewers alike have praised 'My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter'. It has been called "A beautiful journey to healing," and "A thought-provoking and introspective Vietnam memoir". One reviewer said, "The book was so good, I was sad when I finished it." Another stated, "Jack's memory of his time in Vietnam has been beautifully detailed in his book. Not everyone wants to relive such a terrible page in our American history, but Jack was able to do a remarkable job talking about actual events that he lived through and came back home in one piece to give such a wonderful gift he has given to his daughter."

Another wrote, "The book delivered on my husband's hopes for a healing response to what our Armed Services faced over there. My husband usually can't read much Vietnam War material due to PTSD. He read this in just a few days; it was that good. Our thanks to the author for undertaking this topic and telling his story."

The book will make for an engaging read for veterans, spouses and children of veterans and others who have been impacted in any way by serving in any branch of the military, as the memoir includes the years leading up to, and after his service in Vietnam, including the effects his tour in Vietnam had on his family.

Jack Billups is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at myvietnam1949@gmail.com. 'My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter' is available at Amazon in Kindle, paperback and audio formats. More information is available at Billups' website at https://myvietnambook.com.

About Jack Billups:

As a 19-year-old Army volunteer, Sgt. Jack Billups received the Bronze Star with the V attachment. He was awarded the Air Medal, which went to those who participated in combat aerial missions. Assigned to the 1st Air Calvary infantry as a M60 machine gunner, Jack served in the steamy jungles near the Ho Chi Minh trail along the Cambodian border.

Jack grew up during the 1950s and early 1960s in a peaceful Southern California community populated by many senior citizens and dotted with chicken ranches. He is a dependable and talented "everyman" who makes no claim about his service in Vietnam except for being a patriotic American who did "the right thing" as he saw it. He maintained that attitude throughout his life. Asked to talk about his military experience by his daughter, he began writing it out, and ended up exposing 50-year-old forgotten memories and emotions about the jungle war, concluding with a trip back to Vietnam with his daughter.

What Is The Truth Behind The Near Death Experience? Bestselling Author Bernard Fleury's Near Death Experience Ebook Available At No Charge July 26 through July 28, 2022

Dr. Fleury is the author of thirteen books across a number of genres. Many are best sellers and all have received high rating from readers and reviewers.

Dr. Bernard Fleury has announced that his best selling book, Near Death Experience: Out Of The Darkness Into The Light, will be available in ebook form at no charge July 26 through July 28, 2022 at Amazon.

The book clearly describes what happens in the profound near-death experience. In this award-winning bestseller, Fleury presents a penetrating look into the near death experience that is unlike any other book about NDE’s available today. Readers will learn what really happens in the profound near-death experience.

What if we could find peace of mind in the face of inevitable death? What if we could gain assurance that a world of light and a Being of Light awaits us when we die?

'Near-Death Experience: Out of the Darkness into the Light', details what happens to people who have had a profound near-death experience. It presents a comprehensive overview of this experience as reported in several major studies.

Research findings include information from Raymond Moody, MD; Melvin Morse, MD; Pim Van Lommel, MD; Kenneth Ring, PhD; and Bruce Greyson, MD; J. Steve Millerand P.M.H. Atwater. Fleury personally interviewed 3 persons who claimed they had an experience of light during their N-D Experience.

Nearly all of Bernard's books center squarely on the theme of Light as a Someone and a Something. He believes we are all Called Into Life By The Light. Life and Light are tied together. Lifelight describes their relationship best because both our “without” (our physical being) and our “within” (our spirit) are basically light in two different forms:

1. Physical energy that occupies space, has weight, can be measured, and

2. Psychic or spiritual energy which is a force that causes things to happen and, thus, real energy, but it does not occupy space, have weight, nor can it be empirically measured.

Bernard Fleury has written a total of thirteen books to date. These include:

How Jesus Christ Leads Us To The Kingdom of Heaven
The Mind Body Spirit Connection in the Medicine of Light
Teilhard De Chardin The Search For Light in Evolution
Human Sexuality in St. John Paul II and Teilhard de Chardin
Near Death Experience Out of the Darkness Into The Light
The Unfailing Light Remedy for Alienation Loneliness and Despair
What is Man Male and Female
A Bee In His Bonnet

All of his books have been highly praised by readers and reviewers alike. Many are bestsellers and most have achieved 5-star ratings. Many are available in audio format. The full list of his books, including reviews, can be found at Amazon or at his website.

Bernard was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. His honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Near Death Experience: Out Of The Darkness Into The Light, will be available in ebook form at no charge July 26 through July 28, 2022 at Amazon.

Author Marlayne Giron Announces New Christian Fiction Book, The Victor, An Epic Fantasy Fiction Centered Around Traditional Christian Values

Giron is considered to be a great new voice in Christian Fiction and writes fiction with a mission.

Author Marlayne Giron has announced the release of a new Christian Fiction book, 'The Victor'.

In the tradition of Stephen Lawhead and Elizabeth Chadwick, Marlayne Giron writes epic fantasy fiction centered around traditional Christian values. Her work has been compared to 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Chronicles of Narnia'.

Her latest book, 'The Victor', is an inspirational historical fiction book - written for ages 12 and up - that is destined to become a classic. Perfect as a home school resource, this spellbinding tale is set apart from other Christian fiction books by her subtle but powerful method of presenting Christian principles embedded in a majestic adventure that is gripping, riveting, and engaging for readers of any age.

A benevolent king, his sword of power.

A ruthless traitor bent on revenge, and the faithful son who stands in his way with the woman destined to share his throne.

Who shall emerge the victor in this epic battle between good and evil to rule the lives of hapless men?

“I was inspired to write this book by famed music artist, Amy Grant’s song, ‘Fairytale’ as a means to convey the gospel to those who won’t go to church, read the bible, and don’t want to be witnessed to,” Giron stated.

Readers and reviewers have praised the book. Robert Heath, Founder and Director of Kids for Christ/USA, stated, "The Victor is an absolute 'literary masterpiece' that should be required reading in High Schools across the land. In fact, if there was a required reading list for Christians, The Victor would have to be on it."

NY Time bestselling author Tosca Lee said, "The Victor is an epic adventure of love, loss, and triumph over evil. Giron’s characters leap off the page into medieval battles, jousts, quests, and romance. Fans of Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and medieval fantasy will not want to miss out on this classic tale!"

Karen Koch, former editor of the Christian Home Educators Association of California Magazine stated, "I loved this book. The author had me at castles, sword fights, and a gentle romance, but the novel reveals an eternal story of good vs. evil that is much deeper than just what’s on the surface. Middle and high school students (and their parents) will love this account of adventure, drama, betrayal, sacrifice, and ultimate victory."

Kathi Macias, bestselling author of nearly sixty books said, "Author Marlayne Giron has woven together a fast-paced adventure and a tender love story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, even as they are caught up in the lives of believable characters, both good and evil. The Victor will introduce – or reintroduce – readers to the majestic story of the Bible, a story of love, redemption, and victory. Though aimed at high-school aged readers, adults will be captivated by it as well. Highly recommended!"

As noted on Giron's website, a companion lesson plan is available for advanced Language Arts students in upper middle school through high school. The Lesson Plan explores the language and Biblical symbolism of the novel and works especially well for Christian homeschoolers. Because the Christian Bible plays such a powerful role in history and sociology, the book is recommended for non-Christians as well.

The lesson plan contains a vocabulary list, chapter summary questions, pronunciation guide, guide to allegorical symbolism, short biography about the author, and a bit about the armor that knights and their horses wore during medieval times. End of chapter questions about content are interspersed with ideas for further study, and essay topics.

Marlayne Giron is available for media interviews. She can be reached using the information below, or by email at mmgiron@yahoo.com. 'The Victor' is available at online book retailers. More information is available at Giron's website at https://thevictorbook.com.

Bestselling Author Bernard Fleury's 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution' Attains Bestseller Status

Fleury's highly praised book gives us a detailed look at purpose driven evolution according to Tielhard De Chardin.

Bestselling author Dr. Bernard Fleury has announced that one of his most popular books, 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution', has achieved bestseller status in the Evolution category.

As the title suggests, this e-book is a presentation of Teilhard de Chardin’s concept of Purpose Driven evolution. As the e-Book cover illustration shows, “In the beginning was The Fire – The Big Bang” – the physical world thrust into existence and motion by The Light.

All of creation is Purpose Driven. Darwin’s famous thesis that evolution proceeds by chance, groping, and the survival of the fittest could be the case until the advent of the first human, the first creature who knew that he knew. Thereafter continuing change becomes more and more by plan. The human being begins to take charge of evolution. There is still some chance and groping but much of it is really planned trial that results in either success or failure and we try again.

God, The Light, is the architect of all that is. His will, when manifested, becomes the purpose behind everything both the inanimate, the animate, and the thinking layers or spheres – of the universe. In this e-Book’s presentation of Teilhard de Chardin’s Purpose Driven Evolution, the author uses chronological evolution as the outline as we observe the foundations of our universe and the unfolding of the phenomenon of “Man”. The evolutionary process as explained in the Human Phenomenon, a new edition of deChardin’s The Phenomenon of Man (1965 English edition), as edited and translated from the French 1955 edition by Sarah Appleton Weber in 1999, is categorized under four parts: I: Prelife II: Life III: Thought, and IV: Superlife Can a committed Christian believe in the concept (theory of Evolution)? What does the Search for the Light in Evolution reveal about a person in the development of the Earth?

Nearly all of Bernard's books center squarely on the theme of Light as a Someone and a Something. He believes we are all Called Into Life By The Light. Life and Light are tied together. Lifelight describes their relationship best because both our “without” (our physical being) and our “within” (our spirit) are basically light in two different forms:

1. Physical energy that occupies space, has weight, can be measured, and

2. Psychic or spiritual energy which is a force that causes things to happen and, thus, real energy, but it does not occupy space, have weight, nor can it be empirically measured.

Fleury's book has received a number of 5-star rated reviews. K.C. Finn stated, "Fleury's retelling of Chardin's teachings is concise yet emotive, and it's very clear that the author has a true passion for their subject. Having said that, nowhere in the book did I find a message too pushy or judgmental. Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution is a well-balanced philosophical take, in which Fleury explains Chardin's viewpoint whilst also adding examples of his own from modern scientific thinking to exemplify his ideas. If you're looking for a thoughtful exploration of Purpose Driven Evolution, or indeed just a brand new way of thinking to stretch your brain muscles, you'll get a lot out of Teilhard de Chardin. Overall, a fascinating and well-compiled read."

Reviewer Jaime Michele stated, "Teilhard de Chardin by Bernard J Fleury is an excellent resource for scholars, students, and scientists, as well as Christians who find themselves questioning either the aspects of scientific theory, the scripture of the Bible, or both. It's written concisely in an academic manner by Fleury, which is fitting given that he teaches as a college professor. In this book, Fleury digs even deeper, addressing the literary work and hypotheses of multiple intellectuals, both past and present, to present a compelling case. 'Light is our origin, our mainstay, and our destiny. It is what forms and informs us. We are called into life by The Light, we live in The Light, and our destiny is The Light.' I would recommend this book to any and all who are, as we all should be, open to alternate ideas based on a convergence of ideology and academia."

Reviewer Romuiald Dzemo said, "Bernard J Fleury's book offers a fresh interpretation of the 'phenomenon' of man, and where he fits into God's plan of creation. In this book, the author explores the concept of 'seeing' properly in order to understand creation and makes apt references to other thinkers and theologians, featuring the ancients as well as modern thinkers -- Leonard Euler, Robert Boyle, Thomas Young, Augustin-Jean Fresnel, Francois Arago, Michael Faraday, James Clerk Maxwell, and many others. Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution is a book that gives a new meaning to light as a creative property of God. This essay is well-researched and presented with the clarity of one who knows what they are talking about. It's as informative as it is inspiring.”

Fleury is the author of a number of bestselling books. He was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. His honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow Announces Release Of New Historical Fiction Novel, New NFPW Award And Upcoming Jane Austen Society Presentation

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

Bestselling, award-winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced the release of a new historical fiction novel, ‘The Famishment of the People, of Hunger and Fulfillment’, Epoch 9 in the Celtic Cross series Part 2, Ireland: The Pursuit of Peace.

1996 Deep into a summer spent working for peace in strife-torn Belfast, American Mary Hamilton is ready to wash her hands of the whole thing. Until a devastating event changes her plans irrevocably.

1845 Andrew Armstrong is determined to break free of the strictures of life on his family plantation in Northern Ireland. Then the potato famine brings disaster to all that he loves.

Can these young people, more than a century apart, find the courage to overcome the calamities of their time?

The Celtic Cross will be a 10-volume series of novels covering the history of Scotland and Ireland. The leading historic figures of the day interact with fictional characters to bring the stirring events alive. Each epoch is tied to the series with the on-going events in the lives of modern young people as old wars and current conflicts keep them striving to find answers that provide hope for the future.

Epoch 4 in this series ‘The Vanquishers of Tyranny, Of Priests and Patriots’, was recently awarded third place in Fiction for Adult Readers at the National Federation of Press Women National Communications Conference held in Fargo, North Dakota.

This novel tells the story two great patriots who fought for Scotland’s freedom: William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, bringing to a conclusion the first 4 epochs of the Celtic Cross series which comprise Part 1, Scotland: The Struggle for a Nation.

The NFPW National Communications Contest is a nation-wide, two-tiered contest open to all writers. First-place winners from state-level contests are then moved to the national level of judging.

In preparation for the Jane Austen Society of North America’s annual meeting this September in Victoria BC, Crow is busy preparing her talk “In London with Jane Austen and the Dashwoods” which she will present in the persona of Jane Austen. “Austen” will explain the meaning of the London locations she uses in her novel ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and show how understanding these sites gives the reader a deeper insight into her characters.

Donna Fletcher Crow is no stranger to portraying her literary role model. Crow has two videos on YouTube “Jane Austen from Paradise to Lyme Regis” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W0WI_-qFwE and “Jane Austen from Paradise to Portsmouth” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDamVe-w60E. In each of these copiously illustrated talks, “Jane Austen” takes viewers to the sites she knew well in her lifetime and explains how she used them in her novels Mansfield Park and Persuasion.

Crow says, “In all my work I strive to present civility, beauty, and peace—the qualities our world needs most. I find these in abundance in the life and works of Jane Austen, which is why I am so excited to be part of The Jane Austen Society of North America and to be speaking at this year’s annual general meeting in Victoria.

“I also strive to promote the qualities of courtesy, harmony and accord in all my work—even when telling stories that encompass brutal battles. This goal even applies to my current new release, the often-agonizing story of the Irish Potato famine. After all, when are we most in need of finding love, joy, and beauty than when in the middle of disasters? And when has there ever been a time in our world when there was no conflict or strife?”

Crow said she believes that, “The powers of darkness are always at work—but the Power of Light and Goodness is stronger. The Light shall overcome darkness. It is vital that we hold to that belief and work for it with kindness and civility.

“That is why I love to point people to Jane Austen, and what I hope readers will find in the works of Donna Fletcher Crow.”

Donna Fletcher Crow is a frequent online guest for book club discussions and is available to speak to groups on Austen related subjects.

Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 50 books, mostly novels of British history. She has taken a number of high-level industry awards for her work. Many of her books have been bestsellers in their categories, including 'A Most Inconvenient Death', which achieved #1 bestseller status in Christian Suspense. 'The Fields of Bannockburn', the epic from which The Celtic Cross Series, Part I: Scotland, The Struggle for a Nation is based, was listed as Fiction Bestseller by Christian Book Distributors and 'The Banks of the Boyne', the epic from which The Celtic Cross Series, Part II: Ireland, The Pursuit of Peace is based, hit #3 Best-Selling Fiction.

'Glastonbury' is her best-known book, which received the prestigious First Place, Historical Novel, award from the National Federation of Press Women. Readers and reviewers have raved about 'Glastonbury', calling it "The best of its kind," "richly fascinating," "beautifully researched," "gloriously evocative," and "panoramic." One Amazon reader said, "WHAT a work! Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."

The Celtic Cross is a 2-part series which begins with Scotland: The Struggle for a Nation. In 4 individual epochs it tells the stories of—'The Keeper of the Stone,’ St. Columba; ‘The Forger of a Nation,’ Kenneth MacAlpin; ‘The Refiner of the Realm,’ Queen Margaret; ‘The Vanquishers of Tyranny,’ William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. The 10-book series will complete in the summer of 2022.

The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in 'The Flame Ignites', Dorothy L Sayers in 'The Shadow of Reality', Shakespeare in 'A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare', and Jane Austen in both 'A Jane Austen Encounter' and 'A Most Singular Venture'. Watch for 'A Prodigious Sum of Corpses: Seeking Sanditon at Jane Austen’s Seashore', which will take readers to all of Austen’s favorite seashore resorts. Accounts of Crow’s visits to these sites are available on her blog under the heading “Jane Austen Seashore Tour.”

The Monastery Murders Series features atmospheric contemporary crimes with their roots buried deep in the middle ages. Books in the series include 'A Very Private Grave', 'A Darkly Hidden Truth', 'An Unholy Communion', 'A Newly Crimsoned Reliquary', 'An All-Consuming Fire' and the newly-released 'Against All Fierce Hostility.'

The Daughters of Courage, 'Kathryn', 'Elizabeth' and 'Stephanie' is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area. A short story on her blog entitled “A Nostalgic Fourth of July” is based on a scene from ‘Kathryn: Days of Loss and Hope'.

Where There is Love is a 6-book series of the enduring legacy of love and faith all based on historic people and events. The titles are: ‘Where Love Begins’, ‘Where Love Illumines’, ‘Where Love Triumphs’, ‘Where Love Restores’, ‘Where Love Shines’, and ‘Where Love Calls’.

The Church Is Supposed To Direct The Government And Forget The Constitution - Separation Of Church And State Addressed By Dr. Richard Ruhling

Dr. Richard Ruhling is an expert on Biblical prophecy and is also the author of 'The Alpha & Omega Bible Code'

Citing a Catholic politician, the NY Times says, “We are seeing them emboldened,” a reference to the politician’s view of “how it was time, together, for Christians to reclaim political power.” (July 9, 2022).

“On this battlefield comes the last great conflict between truth and error,” says Richard Ruhling, author on current events and Bible prophecy. The politician was citing Rome’s Syllabus of Errors (Pope Pius X, 1864) that is part of the ordination vows of priests worldwide, but downplayed to gain favor for political agenda.

Ruhling claims the above headline was behind Jesuit effort to divide the US in Civil War 160 years ago and “history repeats.” The Syllabus of Errors is part of the ordination vows of priests worldwide.

Ruhling appeals for a better understanding of government role and rule. When cunning lawyers tried to entrap Christ, asking if believers should pay taxes, he asked for a coin. Pointing to Caesar, Christ said, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God, the things that are God’s."

That’s a great lesson for the Ten Commandments. The 1st four commandments are duty to God and the government has no business telling us how to do that. Everyone needs the freedom of conscience to obey God’s commands as they understand them and leave the punishment to God, not Rome, says Ruhling.

But obedience to parents teaches obedience to all rightful authority or we become a nation of rebels. Government has a responsibility to enforce the 2nd table of the Ten Commandments that teach duty to all-- parents, brothers, spouses, employers, everyone. Our freedom ends when it negatively impacts someone else, even in the womb--God said He formed us in the womb in Isaiah 44, five verses before He named Cyrus and said he would conquer Babylon by the two river gates that were left open--Cyrus diverted the river, Isaiah 45.

When Cyrus saw that God named him a century before he was born and described his route to victory, he paid tribute to the God of Israel and assisted them in their return to their homeland.

"Fast-forward 1500 years," said Ruhling, "the Catholic Church has an itch to regain the supremacy it lost in the Old World when the New World was discovered and Protestants risked their lives in little boats and from indigenous people or starvation for the sake of freedom from papal persecution. Conservative historians estimate 50-100 million Protestants were martyred during the Dark Ages of papal supremacy."

He says this was all foretold of the little horn that grew out of the Roman Empire, the 4th beast after Rome fell in Daniel 7, and in Revelation 17, “drunken with the blood of saints.” Rome will have her time again when no one can buy or sell without a mark of compliance to false worship (Rev 13) promoted by pope’s encyclical that seeks to close business on Sunday so everyone can be blessed by their eucharist. (Laudato Si’)

"Revelation 13 supports it coming with UN New World Order, an image beast or look-alike to the Old World Order because of so many Catholic UN nations, and other nations that go along to get along," said Ruhling, citing millions of immigrants from Latin America that will vote the pope’s agenda and they all want food stamps, housing, medical care and education. "America as we knew it, is not coming back."

Dr. Ruhling's latest book, MegaQuake 2023, includes a surprise link that is relevant to the Covid crisis we see. The book is available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09W1XVVMV. Dr. Ruhling is available for speaking engagements and media interviews and can be reached by using the contact information below or by email at ruhling7@juno.com. More information is available at his website at http://www.HealthHappinessDestiny.com/blog-2/.

About Dr. Richard Ruhling:

Dr. Ruhling graduated from Loma Linda University medical school and planning for overseas work, took a Masters Degree in Public Health. After Internal Medicine training and board certification, he also had a Cardiology Fellowship before teaching at Loma Linda’s School of Public Health. Attending a cardiology convention, he heard Pritikin reporting how a low fat, low cholesterol diet reversed heart disease and got 85% of patients off their drugs for diabetes and blood pressure.

January 6 Hearings and The Overblown Right Wing Extremist Terrorism Narrative Addressed By Joseph M. Lenard, Author Of Bestselling Historical Fiction Book, Terror Strikes

Lenard is the author of the #1 bestselling historical fiction novel, Terror Strikes.

Bestselling author Joseph M. Lenard recently addressed what has become known as the "right wing extremist terrorism narrative" including the “January 6 Hearings” (deemed as a White Nationalist insurrection). In the first post he presents powerful evidence that "there is very little credence to right-wing terrorism." Instead, he makes the point that it is an "overblown left-wing false narrative to peddle a left-wing agenda."

Specifically, he addresses the myriad of questions the false narrative peddling "January 6 hearings" Star Chamber Show leaders refuse to ask or address, as well as the evidence (or cross-examination under the 6th Amendment protections/guarantees) to counter the accusations and provide substantiation of exoneration. He also asks “where was the outrage,” when left-wing activists occupied both the Wisconsin and U.S. Capitol buildings, and the occupation of the Gallery and disruption (outburst attempts, in violation of Gallery Guest policy/rules,) to unsettle and influence the Kavanaugh hearings, years prior?

In the Washington Post, in a piece titled "Beware the data on American right-wing violence," by Megan McArdle, we find a number of important points that support that position. The article reads in part:

“I’m not cherry-picking a few ambiguous outliers; I’m arguably describing the majority of the incidents in the ADL’s 2021 report. Every one of these killings is a horrific tragedy. But it’s not clear they all have much to do with politics, as the ADL itself acknowledges.”

“One of the most striking features of white supremacist murders is the large proportion of non-ideological killings to ideological killings,” the ADL wrote in its most recent report. “Over the past 10 years, only 86 of the 244 white supremacist killings (35%) were ideological murders.”

One reason for this confusion is that all prison gangs tend to be organized along racial lines, for complex sociological reasons, yet only the White gangs are coded as white-supremacist groups rather than criminal organizations.

Lenard went on to quote Dr. Emeritus Rik Coolsaet, Thomas Renard in "What The Zeitgeist Can Tell Us About The Future Of Terrorism":

“In the United States and across Europe, there is a broad recognition that right-wing extremism has become either the main terrorist threat, or at the very least a seriously growing concern. The racially motivated attack by an 18-year-old in May 2022 in Buffalo (NY), deliberately targeting African Americans and killing ten people before being arrested, was but the latest in a long series of lethal right-wing plots and attacks in the West. In parallel, a relative decline of jihadi activities in Western countries has been noted, resulting in a new balance of (perceived) terrorist threats."

In response Lenard wrote that, "NEO-NAZI groups that exist/operate in America (and several Western Nations . . . ) are all LEFT WING organizations.”

Joseph M Lenard further addresses the issue during speaking engagements on this topic by talking about the lack of education, or rather indoctrination and mis-education, of American youth about Civics – with the proper doctrines - as the right-wing on the political spectrum is anarchy (no government, complete unobstructed freedoms of/for/by all), and the left of the spectrum (including Communism, Fascism, Monarchy, Socialism) is toward full-government controls by one-person, one-party, or “deep-state,” over populace and dictates, with the United States Constitutional Republic a center-right creation by our Founders. “A [representative, Constitutional] Republic, [not a Democracy, mob-rule society, where minority groups within populace retain rights] if you can keep it” as Benjamin Franklin famously stated. Calling left-wing groups like ANTIFA and more using anarchist associated tactics as “right-wing” is pure spin and deception to peddle a false narrative.

These issues/points are further addressed and expounded upon in the two original blogs at https://www.terrorstrikes.info/post/was-jan6-a-white-nationalists-insurrection and https://www.terrorstrikes.info/post/the-overblown-right-wing-extremist-terrorism-narrative.

Honor. Integrity. Patriotism. -- For some people these are words. For bestselling author Joseph M Lenard, these are the core values that he embodies – every day - deeply ingrained in every facet of his life and work.

It is this set of cherished values he brings to life in his latest #1 bestselling historical fiction novel, Terror Strikes. The book has been compared to The Sum of All Fears and Deep Impact. Joseph M. Lenard shreds the “creative writing process formulaic methodologies” to create a writing style and literature like no other author before.

Billed as a book for conservatives, but appropriate for all readers, this extraordinary new book is a stunning achievement, set apart from even the best historical fiction books, as it clearly demonstrates the need for situational awareness and vigilance in a world in which mass shootings and other forms of terrorism have become the norm. Reviewers have called the book "compelling", "historically accurate", and utterly "unique".

Terror Strikes connects the dots of not just foreign terrorists, but those both foreign and domestic, that abhor Western culture and their attempts through terror attacks and other more shadowy undermining of our collective freedom to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Bruce Fleury wrote in the foreword of Terror Strikes: "Joe Lenard’s book Terror Strikes, although a work of fiction, is especially timely and topical… [He takes] on an international crisis that, if not addressed with more urgency, threatens to condemn our descendants to live in a 7th-Century nightmare from which there may very well be no awakening.”

Whether you are a staunch conservative, a prepper, or just have concerns about what is happening in American life and society today, Terror Strikes will answer many of the questions you have regarding terrorism, foreign and domestic, and will make for a remarkable reading experience.

Are Angels Divine? Bestselling Author Jody Sharpe Presents Answers To Questions About Angels And Angel Messages In New Video, New Blog Posts And Announces Payson Book Festival Appearance

Sharpe is the author of a number of award-winning books and videos that can help readers and viewers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

The questions we ask about angels are many, but at the top of the list is "Are angels divine beings?" "Do they really exist?" If so, what are they trying to communicate?

Jody Sharpe has written a number of bestselling books about angels. In two new videos titled, "Are Angels Divine?" and "Messages From The Angels" she attempts to give us the answers.

In a recent blog post she wrote:

"The word divine means from God. God is divine and angels are sent from God. The angels are as perfect as they can be because they are God’s messengers. When I think of angels, I call on them to help me in my writing and in my day to day solving problems. I know now I get thoughts in my mind that are sent from above. These thoughts help me embrace my joys. I find  peace knowing these divine celestial beings are sent from God to help all of us.:

The full post is available at her site at https://jodysharpe.com.

Jody will appear at the Seventh Annual Payson Book Festival, presented by The Arizona Professional Writers Association. The event will be held on July 23, 2033 at the Mazatzal Hotel in Payson AZ.

'Town Of Angels Christmas, A Tale Of Love And Animal Rescue' was a bestseller in the Holiday Fiction category, ‘Town of Angels Christmas' features the same town and many of the characters from ‘Town of Angels’. In this new novel, Sharpe addresses a number of new issues for her characters to deal with, including animal rescue.

In 'Town Of Angels Christmas', a secret lies in Mystic Bay California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a store owner, fears the secret will be revealed when vet, Jordana Hart, a woman with special healing abilities moves to town. Years before Angel Ken materialized as an old man, changing the course of her life.

Will Jordana recognize Angel Ken as the man from her past as they work together on a rescue mission to bring twenty-two horses to Mystic Bay before Christmas? Will they see what lies before them, a Christmas story only the angels could write?

Other books by Jody Sharpe include:

But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. 20 Moon Road: An Angel's Tale, Book Five in the Mystic Bay Series, is now available. The latest book features a character from her Mystic Bay series, Madam Norma. Madam Norma is based on a woman who influenced Sharpe's life in a number of unforgettable ways.

Miracles still happen in the town of Mystic Bay California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a former football coach, is surprised when his late best friend, the indomitable psychic, Madam Norma, appears in spirit form and asks him to write the story of her life through her memories she will send him. Surprising to Angel Ken, Madam Norma saw thousands of angels since childhood.

Readers of the Mystic Bay Series who wish to start with the first book in the series can now access’ The Angel's Daughter’ on Kindle Unlimited. The book serves as a great introduction to Jody's concept of angels on earth.

'Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder' is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women’s At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It’s a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life’s journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life.

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

‘Special Needs Children’ followed her recently released children's book about angels, ‘When The Angel Sent Butterflies’. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

In addition, on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards'. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: ‘The Angel's Daughter’ and ‘Town Of Angels Christmas’. Angelic presence on earth is the central theme of all the books in her Mystic Bay Series. The series is comprised of four books, the first of which, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, is now available on Kindle Unlimited.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.
