Award Winning Author Dana Lyons Announces Epic Paranormal Thriller Novel, 'The Rosetta Coin'

Lyons brings readers stories no one else could write. Her books feature quantum level adventures that combine science with spirituality.

Award winning author Dana Lyons has announced a recent epic paranormal thriller release, 'The Rosetta Coin'.

Dana Lyons creates stories no one else could write. Her books feature reincarnated lovers, time traveling souls, and an epic battle against ancient powers and alien forces. All of her books are fast paced, engaging and enlightening, written in contemporary time with modern elements as well as scenes from the ancient past. She takes her readers to worlds both ancient and contemporary for adventures of the heart, mind, and spirit.

This paranormal thriller, 'The Rosetta Coin' revolves around an artifact many have died for, leading to an adventure that could change the world.

In the heart of London’s elite social scene, Madelyn Fox has obtained an ancient artifact that could change humanity’s view of science, religion and mankind. If she shares her discovery with the wrong person, she risks joining those who have died in connection with the coin.

For centuries, the full wealth of the St. Germain family has been behind the protection of a secret so immense, so powerful, not even Solomon St. Germain knows the extent of it. Nicholas Alexander Carter, a descendant of the world’s most famous Egyptologist, also possesses a rare piece of this archeological puzzle.

Mercilessly tracked by a terrifying ancient enemy, the three unite in a white-knuckle chase through gritty streets, marble estates and underground bastions as their treasure trove of knowledge faces an explosive disclosure—or destruction.

"THE ROSETTA COIN is written from the heart...a heart filled with hope and faith a better day awaits humanity," Dana stated. "Aside from the adventure and discovery in The Rosetta Coin, what's important is the inspirational message I explore. In my heart I envision a human potential for something better, something beyond the wars and chaos and manipulation that seems to be our current human goal. Abandoning this legacy and establishing a new one is the big truth behind The Rosetta Coin."

Dana Lyons' books have received rave reviews posted on line. One about The Rosetta Coin said, " I loved the imaginative variety and interesting dynamic of the well-written characters. The underlying message was one that hinted at the greater possibilities of our human potential and it left me contemplating our mysterious existence. Most of all, The Rosetta Coin left me anticipating the upcoming sequel.

Another said, "As soon as I picked it up, I was swept into another world of mystery, intrigue, and hope. The rapid character development and story line left me unable to put it down."

The Self Esteem Challenges Women Face Today - New Ebook, 'A Selfie Film, Falling In Love' By Positive Psychologist Barbara Becker Holstein

Dr. Holstein's award-winning books, plays and short films offer solutions to problems that impact today's teens and tweens and helps them develop positive self esteem

Young women face myriad positive self-esteem challenges in today's environment.  The concept of the glass ceiling has been brought to the forefront of the American consciousness as the result of Hillary Clinton's unsuccessful presidential bid.  Women across America held high hopes for Clinton's campaign, but it was not to be.

It is not only politics in which women face hurdles based on their gender.  Geena Davis' organization, The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, presents us with some sobering facts on their website.  On the site, it states that "Male characters received two times the amount of screen time as female characters in 2015 (28.5% compared to 16.0%)." And "When a film has a male lead, this gender gap is even wider, with male characters appearing on screen nearly three times more often than female characters (34.5% compared to 12.9%)."

Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein is a visionary who combines Positive Psychology with filmmaking and books to help young girls build self esteem. Dr. Holstein understands at a very deep level the importance of media in the lives of young people. She reaches young people by using the tools they engage with today. Using cutting edge technology, she presents important concepts via New Media films that combine the technology of the video Selfie with a standard film crew. She helps young girls make sense out of a topsy-turvy, selfie-facebook-video-film based reality.

She recently released a new ebook,'A Selfie Film, Falling in Love', based on her successful book for teens and tweens, 'Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen'. In that falling in love is undoubtedly one of the most important events in a teen's life, she addresses that issue squarely and offers parents, grandparents and educators some advice.

Dr. Holstein comments, "In a tumultuous time for growing up, a world filled with social media, bullying and nowhere to hide. tweens and teens find themselves having to deal with the hormonal rush of puberty and the phenomenon that most of us have been through, falling in love, combined with all the other feelings and emotions of growing up.

"Perhaps you remember your first crush or that wild sensation of emotions that went with your first real kiss, or feelings of attachment so deep you couldn't imagine not being with that person for the rest of your life?  As a positive psychologist who works with many people, I can tell you that those new feelings are just as fresh and happening as when we grew up.

"The problem is that the world is a much tougher place now.  As Melania Trump states in the New York Time article, 'Melania Trump Campaigns for Civility,'  'Our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially for children and teenagers.'

"This sentiment was explored in the most recent issue of Time magazine, where the front cover presents us with 'Anxiety, Depression and the American Adolescent'.

"Concerns keep coming back to the pressures of social media for children and teens.  In the old days, if we had a bad day at school, someone insulted us or even bullied us, we could come home to a sanctuary of sorts.  Once inside the door, no more contact with those kids until school tomorrow.  No more insults or remarks. As Sabrina Tavernise reported, Dr. Levy-Warren stating, in her article in the Times, 'Suicides Outnumber Traffic Deaths for Adolescents', kids are never away from social media. 'If something gets said that's hurtful or humiliating, it's not just the kid who said it who knows, it's the entire school or class.'

"It is a desperate situation for some adolescents and unpleasant for most.  What are we to do as parents, teachers, grandparents, etc?  Here are some ideas:

1. Encourage and remind kids growing up that opportunities continue to move forward for them.  Although Clinton is not our next president, now it is acceptable to run for the presidency as a woman. One day a woman will win.  Will it be your daughter or granddaughter? The glass ceiling will be cracked and broken through.  For boys, the ceiling has already been broken through with Obama as president.

2. Be real.  Don't just talk about 'stuff' like how are your marks? Get real. If you share an upset at work or feeling anxious, it will help your kids to share with you.

3. Understand that emotions and hormones don't change generation to generation, take time to share with the kids in your life how you made it through the storm of growing up.  Listen to them and when necessary protect them! Quiet hours at home with no cell phones or computers, dinners without any media on, will help to bring at least a partial sanctuary back to home time.

4. Read my newest book, 'A Selfie Film, Falling in Love', see the film clips, and discuss the discussion questions with your kids or grand kids.  Each question is carefully designed to bring generations closer and to give a change to discover good solutions that help kids grow up strong and mentally healthy even in a complex, overextended world, even as they pass through so many stages of development, like young love."

Dr. Holstein believes in the power of the Selfie as a new film art form and as a way for girls to gain power. The Selfie can be used to meet a dangerous stranger or can be used by an actress to develop a deeper authenticity with the character she is playing -  much deeper than is possible when people are watching and/or directing in real time. As is very evident in her films, both the audience and the actors feel the deepened authenticity, as the characters become so real.

One of Dr. Holstein's recent short films, 'The Truth - A Short Film' uses the selfie concept to paint a portrait of a young girl. The new short film shows us how the girl attempts to deal with life changing problems, concerns, challenges and issues all young girls face. The result is an eye-opening, in-depth exploration of her life, giving the viewer the distinct impression that they have been somehow magically embedded into that life. If the selfie concept were be transformed into an art form, 'The Truth' would be the result. This film premiered at the Garden State Film Festival and its song, 'On The Edge of Something New' won the award as the best pop song of 2016.

The short two minute film by Dr. Holstein, 'The Truth, A Short Short Film', premiered at FilmOneFest in July. The film was chosen as an Official Selection in the Chain Film Festival held in Manhattan on August 13, 2016. The film was also selected by the Jersey City International Television and Film Festival (JCITFF), and was shown on Saturday, November 5 2016 at the Jersey City International Television and Film Festival.

'The Truth, a Short Film', a longer 16 minute portrayal of a girl growing up, was officially selected for the Golden Door International Film Festival held in September 2016. The Rahway International Film Festival chose the 2 minute version as an Official Selection.

Dr. Holstein's entire body of work is great for parents, grandparents, older siblings and teachers to establish lines of communication with the tweens and teens in their lives. Her books have received numerous awards. A recent review of Dr. Holstein's book, 'Secrets', stated, "This book should ideally be stocked in the home libraries of families with children and in school libraries worldwide."

'The Truth' focuses on how teens communicate their deepest needs. A trailer from her new short film, 'The Truth', an Official Choice of the Garden State Film Festival, is available at www.thetruthforgirls.com.  The trailer captures the world of technology and its public nature with the intense needs of a young girl to share her most private and most intimate thoughts, feelings, ideas and secrets.

A sequel to 'The Truth',  'A Selfie Film, Falling in Love', starring Megan Brown, is currently in production. In this first film, which will be part of  a trilogy,  based on 'Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen', a girl shares her feelings and emotions, and pain as she falls in love, making Selfie Videos of herself.  Whether these are another form of the old fashioned diary, or whether she is reaching out to a stranger is unclear.  What is clear is her need to find someone or some place where she can share her longings and her hunger to find a home for her intense emotions. She needs to be understood, and to find peace of mind as she works her way through the adolescent storms.

Dr. Holstein is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at drbarbara@enchantedself.com. All of her books are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all other online retailers. More information is available at her website at http://www.TheTruthForGirls.com.

Clayton Graham, Author Of Sci-Fi Novel, ‘Milijun’, Named As Finalist In ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards

Clayton Graham was picked from a field of hundreds of authors who appeared on The Authors Show. His book, entitled ‘Milijun’, is a riveting sci-fi novel about mankind's first interaction with aliens

Clayton Graham, author of ‘Milijun’, has been named as a finalist in the ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards Contest. His honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. Clayton Graham was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process. ‘Milijun’ is a science fiction novel about human/alien interaction. An interview with Graham is also now available at The Authors Show site.

"Writing ‘Milijun’ was a fascinating journey," Graham stated, "and The Authors Show interview put the icing on the cake. Reaching the final round of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ put another layer on the icing, if that is possible [I'm no chef]. ‘Milijun’ may deal with aliens, but marketing them is something else."

In the storyline, Laura Sinclair and son, Jason, witness aliens descend to Earth. The extraterrestrials endeavour to form a symbiotic relationship with humankind, and Jason is chosen as a genetic link in a bizarre trial involving the impregnation of human females with hybrid embryos and exploration of spiritual compatibility.

Laura crosses swords with Major General Sebastian Ord from the Australian Defence Force, Eucla and Uriel, the enigmatic head of Milijun, a reclusive research facility in the outback. Following a disastrous armed attempt to capture aliens at Cocklebiddy Cave and a fierce confrontation at Eucla, Jason is abducted by an alien swarm.

What follows tests the resolve of Laura to the core. Caught in a relentless web of frightening new technologies and alien mystery, spurred by the undying love of her son, she gains a strength of character she never thought possible.

All she has to do is save herself, Jason and several women and unborn children from the scheming plans of man and alien alike . . .

"I hope ‘Milijun’ gets people thinking about the future," Graham concluded, "and the great treasure we have called Earth. I also hope it makes readers treasure their personal relationships; they are the most important things in our lives."

‘Milijun’ has received a large number of rave reviews. A recent Amazon review stated, "How to describe this book, other than say it is by far one of the most surprisingly addicting novels I've read in a long time . . . " Indie Book Reviewers said, "This book seems to have something of everything ... seriously. Action, drama, mystery, science, humor, suspense, creative and standard sci-fi and fantasy elements ... but I thought Clayton Graham tied it all together nicely in just such compelling, emotionally and intellectually engaging way. This novel will have wide ranging appeal - it is intelligent and complex enough and written with enough substance and finesse to please fans of sci-fi , fantasy and suspense thrillers who appreciate classy, polished, literary writing," and, "This was a captivating novel and I was stunned to read that this was his debut novel ─ it reads like it is written by a seasoned pro who is the master of his craft. There is such strong, vivid writing, and the characters are all fascinating, flawed, and going through their own drama. Great character development, and everything just felt 'authentic' for lack of a better word.”

Members of the public who want to vote for Graham in the ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards can access his entry and vote at The Authors Show site at http://www.TheAuthorsShow.com. Graham is currently working on two other novels, one being a sequel to Laura and Jason’s adventures in Milijun.

When he is not writing, walking, travelling, or gardening, Clayton enjoys fine food with family, friends and five energetic grandchildren.

Maxine Mansfield, Author Of Time Travel Romance Novel ‘Time For A Highlander’, Named As Finalist In ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards

Maxine Mansfield was picked from a field of hundreds of authors. Her book, entitled ‘Time For A Highlander’ is her sixth novel.

Maxine Mansfield, author of ‘Time For A Highlander’, has been named as a finalist in the ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards Contest. Mansfield was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process. ‘Time for a Highlander is a riveting time travel romance novel set in the backdrop of 1643 Scotland.

“I am ecstatic about qualifying for the ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ award," Mansfield stated. "It is such a wonderful opportunity to not only showcase my own work, but it has also opened my eyes to so many different authors of many other genres. I can’t wait  for the chance to find a nice quiet spot, make a cup of tea, and delve into book after book after book."

In the storyline of the book, forty-five-year-old history teacher Bethany Anne Anderson wasn't supposed to die on her dream vacation to Scotland. Someone else was supposed to rescue the child from the falling druid stone. But she's perfectly fine with moving on to the hereafter. She has loved ones waiting for her. Then Tobias Morie, better known as Fate, steps in. Her intervention has changed the future. Before she can move on, she must first help him correct one of his own mistakes. That's fine until she wakes up in 1643 in the body of twenty-year-old Lady Elspeth Frasier. Worse, she's engaged to the very handsome, very young, very virile Quinton MacLeod. But that's not all Fate demands. She must give the Highland laird the heir he’d originally been denied.

Quinton MacLeod loved once. He won't do it again, even if he had time for such nonsense. With the Highland lairds divided between loyalty to their beloved country and the English king, he seeks only peace—in his keep and in his heart. But raised in England and a ward of the enemy, his beautiful new wife has strange notions of education and cleanliness that cause chaos within both. There's also the matter of her very unlady-like views on the marriage bed, which, come to think of it, he's more than happy to overlook. If only he could trust her. Maxine Mansfield: Romantic fiction for all your happily-ever-afters.

A recent Amazon review called the book the “best time-travel romance I've read recently”. Another stated, "Quinton is the perfect alpha hero."

Mansfield is also the author of a number of other fantasy romance novels including "Touched by the Magic", "Tempted by the Storm", "Taken by the Passion", "Tamed by the Fire" and "Tested by the Night".

Ruth Finnegan OBE is a renowned scholar and celebrated writer who is Emeritus Professor, the Open University, a Fellow of the British Academy, and an Honorary Fellow of Somerville College Oxford

Author Ruth Finnegan will be appearing on The Authors Show to discuss her latest book for preteens, 'Pearl of the Seas'. The new release is a companion to her award-winning epic romance novel, 'Black Inked Pearl'. Ruth Finnegan is the author of hundreds of highly praised works, academic publications, articles and books and is currently in production on a number of film scripts.

'Pearl of the Seas' is the tale of two children building a boat from a log they find buried in the sand and sailing off to far-off fantastic lands in a stormy sea-driven adventure with their faithful - but accident-prone - dog Holly. There they learn much wisdom from a king who, like God, has many names'. After an incredible sacrifice of his dearest dream by the boy (now growing up) they return - another dream - to a family tea with their loved ones. The tale is a prequel and companion to Ruth Finnegan's award-winning epic romance 'Black inked pearl', here adapted for preteens but characterised by (in a simpler form) the same unique dream-like and enchanted style as in the original novel.

'Pearl of the Seas' received a Hungry Monster Silver Award in October 2016. The book has received a number of positive reviews. Tshombye K. Ware of Reader's Favorite stated, "If you're looking for a reader friendly story that touches the depths of your soul, this is definitely one of those books."

The companion work, 'Black Inked Pearl', tells the story of a naive Irish girl Kate and her mysterious lover, whom she rejects in panic and then spends her life seeking. After the opening rejection, Kate recalls her Irish upbringing, her convent education, and her coolly-controlled professional success, before her tsunami-like realisation beside an African river of the emotions she had concealed from herself and that she passionately and consumingly loved the man she had rejected.

The novel, born in dreams, is interlaced with the ambiguity between this world and another, and increasingly becomes more poetic, riddling and dreamlike as the story unfolds. The epilogue alludes to the key themes of the novel – the eternity of love and the ambiguity between dream and reality.

‘Black Inked Pearl’ has received four international prizes. It was recently named as a finalist in the 2016 Best Book Awards in the "Fiction Visionary" category. The book has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers alike. Scott Neuffer of Forward Reviews stated, "If James Joyce's dream-like opuses were written from a more feminist perspective, they might look something like Ruth Finnegan's Black Inked Pearl, a rapturous fantasia of words and images set somewhere between ancient myth and the green shores of modern Ireland." Chris Fischer, in a Readers Favorite review stated "I just finished reading 'Black Inked Pearl: A Girl's Quest' by author Ruth Finnegan, and all I can say is 'Wow!' It's written in a unique and creative style, one that at times blends poetry with prose ... enviable and beautiful at the same time ... any reader who enjoys a lovely, unique and interesting work of fiction should absolutely read Black Inked Pearl. I will be eagerly awaiting the next offering by author Ruth Finnegan. If it is anything like her debut novel, it will be simply magical!" Kirkus Reviews said, "Kate's romantic quest calls to mind Paradise Lost and Greek mythology as it weaves together biblical allusions, fantasy, and details of the modern day." Like other classic and unusual literary works,  the book has given rise  to many  interpretations and, as Christiana Fatoki perceptively put it,  like its more recent prequel ‘Pearl of the Seas,’ it “sinks into your unconscious.”

Ruth Finnegan will appear on The Authors Show on November 22, 2016. She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at r.h.finnegan@open.ac.uk. More information is available at her website at  http://garnpress.com/authors/ruth-finnegan/.

About Ruth Finnegan:
Ruth Finnegan OBE is a renowned scholar and celebrated writer who is Emeritus Professor, the Open University, a Fellow of the British Academy, and an Honorary Fellow of Somerville College Oxford. She was born in Derry (on the last day of December 1933) and grew up  there and in the remote  countryside of Donegal where, as poetically recalled in the second chapter of her novel, ‘Black Inked Pearl’,  she spent the war years; went to a literature-imbued Quaker school in York where, a fellow-student with the actress  Judi Dench, she learned to read the resonant poetry of Yeats and Shakespeare and to repeat texts that, with others, she had to learn, aloud (a good training for the sonic style of her novels); earned top degrees in classics and anthropology at Oxford; and carried out fieldwork on story-telling in Africa – a revelation of the multi-sensory nature of performance that has affected her all her life, and constantly comes through in her writing. From 1969, apart from three years in the South Pacific island of Fiji,  she taught and researched at the pioneering Open University. She is the author of over twenty academic books, several of them prize-winning. She has three daughters (two of them born in Nigeria), five grandchildren (one in New Zealand), and now lives in Old Bletchley, England, with her husband of over 50 years and two loving, impetuous, lovable cairn terriers.

Inspirational Book Author David Michael Palladino Announces Upcoming Release Of Second Book In The Quest Series, 'Adriana Corderu - Western Odyssey'

David Michael Palladino writes inspirational fiction for young readers. His works teach important ideals and values. The new release follows his first successful book in the series, 'Adriana Corderu, Quest For Freedom'

Inspirational book author David Michael Palladino has announced the upcoming release of 'Adriana Corderu - Western Odyssey'. The new book continues where the first book in the series left off.

Readers will come to know a whole new cast of characters as Adriana continues her journey as she experiences the refugee camps of Italy and comes to know Italian culture with a new family even while under the yoke of the Romanian Securitate, which is still trying to abduct her and bring her back to Eastern Europe. Readers will go with her into the cauldron that was New York City where the only safe place to be was where the Italian Cosa Nostra ruled and will then experience the wonder of the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania and the rugged big-hearted people who live there.

Adriana experiences heartbreaking loss and the wonders of new love. Readers can learn with her as she remembers her sister’s revelations about America’s regular military, to include units like the 82nd Airborne Division, the 1st Cavalry Division, and the 101st Air Cavalry Screaming Eagles. Readers can then witness the heat of her emotions when she, for the first time comes into contact with men of the US Army Ranger Battalions. Adriana comes to know these hard men and learns from them of the dramatic differences and contrasts between the US regular military and the units of the US Special Operations Command and Joint Special Operations Command. Readers will be fascinated with units such as the Army Rangers and Green Berets, the Navy SEALS, and other units that make up the US Special Operations Division to include units from the Air Force and Marines. Readers will learn what really happened during Operation Urgent Fury on the island of Grenada in October, 1983 and of the US Military of the “Reagan Era.” The story of Adriana’s Western Odyssey will not only entertain, but will also educate and uplift. Be reminded again that once you’ve seen the world through the eyes of Adriana Corderu, it will never seem the same.

David Michael Palladino's, 'Adriana Corderu - Quest For Freedom’ is the engaging story of Adriana Corderu and her quest to obtain freedom by escaping the Iron Curtain.

Palladino writes inspirational fiction for young people. He teaches, through his works of fiction, important ideals and values. As a former U.S. Army Ranger, former High School Phys-Ed & Health Teacher and Coach, and founder of “Palladino Martial Arts”, he understands the significance of instilling these all-important ideals and values in young people. 'Quest For Freedom' helps communicate freedom's true meaning to a younger audience. For this reason it will appeal to parents, grandparents and educators and those who are old enough to remember what America used to be. Palladino deftly paints a picture of America as she really was during the Cold War. He shows us clearly why American freedom and American values held such appeal for many oppressed people in other parts of the world.

During the first Cold War the world revolved around the conflict between the theologies of communism and democracy. The two main protagonists in this conflict were the United States in the West and the Soviet Union in the East. As Eastern Bloc leaders began to tighten restrictions in the lives of their people, commensurate with their increase in power, there began to emerge, in the East, a group of young people, hard and idealistic, adventurous and courageous. These would become the heroes of the movement of their time. These were the brave young souls who, with inspiration from President Reagan, began to break down the Iron Curtain. The escape from Soviet Communism and the quest for freedom is the theme of 'Quest For Freedom'. Set in the Cold War era, the book is the engaging story of Adriana Corderu and her quest to obtain freedom by escaping the Iron Curtain.

'Quest for Freedom' has received rave reviews. One reviewer stated, "More native born Americans need to know this story and more importantly appreciate our country as she did." Another said, "The readers become engrossed immediately in Palladino's dynamic effervescent style."

David Palladino is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at inspirationalbookauthor@yahoo.com. 'Adriana Corderu, Quest for Freedom' is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Rosedog Books. More information, including samples of the book, is available at Palladino’s website at http://www.inspirationalbookauthor.com.

What The Afterlife Is Like - 'A Flight Without Wings' By NDE Expert Brian McLaughlin Gives Us The Answer

McLaughlin's book about his NDE details his totally unique near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no preaching and no hidden agenda

Fear is the most debilitating state any person can experience. Fear lies at the very core of every negative mind state a human being might experience. As demonstrated in the last few days, even something as common as a Presidential election can strike mortal fear into the hearts of large segments of the public. But it goes far beyond that.

Fear affects every area of our lives. There are the almost universal fears of sickness, old age and death. We fear changes in our relationships with other people, other countries, other races and other philosophies. Some of us are afraid of the big movements in the stock market, big money, big pharma or big government. Large dogs. Small snakes. Tiny germs, viruses and bacteria. A spot on our nose. A pain in the chest. Our own thoughts. The list of the things we fear is endless.

We fear all of these things (and more) because we believe we are vulnerable.

But what if fear did not exist? How would our lives change? What if we knew, conclusively and beyond any doubt, that there is no reason to fear - anything at all? Many of us would call that "heaven". That is precisely the message Brian McLaughlin, author of 'A Flight Without Wings' offers to his audience. His message is not hopeful. It offers no room for uncertainty. His message is based in certainty and fact. It is a message that everyone needs to hear, as his simple message holds the power to change the world and everyone and everything in it.

Brian McLaughlin shows us clearly in his book how we can experience a life filled with peace in the midst of discord. We can find freedom from fear when faced with uncertainty. We can overcome any form of anxiety, even while facing down threats from within and without. Depression, despair and dismay can easily be transformed into peace, confidence, contentment and joy in one single stroke. What is this most powerful concept that will allow us achieve these states?

The key is to accept that the afterlife really does exist - without question. This has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with truth. While the afterlife cannot be proven using a scientific method based in the physical, it can be proven through one's experience. McLaughlin is one of very few people who have had that experience. He speaks from that experience and his readers and audiences reap the benefits.

'A Flight Without Wings' offers readers a look at the near death experience from an unbiased point of view. It is the presentation of the material that sets this book apart from the other books about the near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment and no hidden agenda. While his book has a spiritual flavor certainly, there is no preaching and no religious messages. It is his near-death experience, just as it happened.

McLaughlin's experience changed the course of his life forever.  It instilled in him what we all seek - certainty about life after death. And with that a peace of  mind that can never be shaken, nor can it be doubted. His near death experience brought a sense of clarity. It brought a sense of real, lasting peace. He now knows with certainty that we exist forever. It is that simple message he brings to his audience, both through his book and at his speaking engagements and in his media appearances.

McLaughlin admits: “I have allowed myself to explore and realize a certain amount of Freedom from Fear. It is one of those benefits I describe in my book. Imagine being able to approach a given situation fearlessly. Remove the fear of: failure, of embarrassment, of rejection... the list goes on. Fear often holds us back from success.  We will retreat in the face of it and lose opportunities to better relationships, change our work performance, and most importantly improve ourselves.

"Fear is like a silent killer of opportunity and advancement.  Though just a 'notion' in our minds, it has powerful consequences on our behavior.  Overcoming it can start out a simple as you might accept.

"Give in to displaying a smile to someone who might otherwise intimidate you. Anticipation of the result, whether it be rejection  or  embarrassment will be evident right away. Should you receive a negative response, just excuse it as the person having a bad day.  Don’t pass up the next opportunity.

"A collection of these simple yet effective events will discipline you to face fear, which is all important in overcoming it. My suggestion in severe cases is to approach it in baby steps... little by little.  My experience is that the results come faster than the efforts”

Brian's upcoming media engagements include:

November 14 - Co-Host on Chapters Rap Show (MadhouseTV.com), focus on youth hero (autistic) who ran NYC marathon and an interview with Young Starr, an advocate for victims of domestic violence.

November 15 - Speaking engagement at ATRIA Senior Community, focus on fearlessness.

Brian was chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' in 2015. He has again been chosen as a finalist in the 2016 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' awards. Reviews of 'A Flight Without Wings' have been overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Penny Sartori, author of 'The Wisdom of Near-Death Experiences', said "This book will help others who have had an NDE to make sense of their experience and will also help those close to someone who has had an NDE because NDEs affect close family members and friends too."

Jack Magnus, a reviewer with Readers Favorite, called the book a "well written and moving memoir that neither delves into the fanciful or dogmatic,...”  "…Well worth reading, and is highly recommended." Another stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these, but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."

Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal . . . such profound perspective.”

Author Linda Maria Frank Chosen As Finalist In 2016 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Awards

Frank was chosen as the result of a public voting process.  Her latest work, entitled ‘The Mystery of the Lost Avenger’, is a mystery thriller for young readers that has received rave reviews from readers. Her works have been described as "Nancy Drew meet CSI".

Linda Maria Frank, author of ‘The Mystery of the Lost Avenger’, has been chosen as a finalist in the 2016 ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Awards contest. Frank was chosen as the result of a public voting process.

"It's a thrill to be chosen as a finalist," Frank stated. "It's what writers write for, the ability to say something or to tell a story that readers are inspired or entertained when they read your work. Stories help people to connect."

Letters can really change a life. In Linda Maria Frank’s latest Annie Tiller Mystery, the teen detective and her boyfriend, Ty Egan, bump into the intrigue of a past time in American history. A letter from the United States Navy links Annie’s great grandmother with a plane crash from 1943.

A packet of letters between great grandmother, Charlotte Wheeler, and her Navy pilot finance, Frank Bradenton, hint at dangerous goings-on in the defense plant where Charlotte test and flies Avenger fighter planes to military bases on the West Coast.

Annie and Ty become code breakers, delving into the heart-stopping world of World War II to solve 'The Mystery of the Lost Avenger'.

Other books in The Annie Tillery Mystery Series include 'The Madonna Ghost', 'Girl with Pencil, Drawing', and 'Secrets in the Fairy Chimneys'.

Reviewers have high praise for Frank's Annie Tillery Mystery Series. One reviewer stated, “Linda Frank might as well be the next Carolyn Keene with her new age mystery luring readers from every angle--suspense, romance, and modern forensics. This is a perfect book for all ages, particularly young readers who might find Nancy Drew a bit old-fashioned. Written in a way where every chapter leaves you with a crisp, familiar image of each character and location.”

Linda Marie Frank is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at lmf217@hotmail.com. All of Linda Frank’s works are available at Amazon. She attempts to expand and explain both Donna Louis was picked from a field of hundreds of authors who appeared on The Authors Show. Her book, entitled ‘Miracles Of Direction’, is an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles.

Donna Louis, author of ‘Miracles Of Direction’, has been named as a finalist in the ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards Contest. Her honors came as a result of her appearance on The Authors Show. Donna was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

“I am humbled and honored to be one of the finalists in this years 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards," Donna stated. "This is one step away from what you would call 'The Writer's Oscar.' It is an amazing feeling and a tremendous rush to know that your words mean something to people and so they acknowledge that. I want to thank everyone who has already voted for me as well as those who will be voting for me. Books don't sell unless the words mean something and touch a persons heart. That is my greatest joy in writing.”

Donna Louis' book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful example of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced three miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

Angel Deemed Responsible For Miraculous Survival Of Pastor Involved In Horrific Accident Is Proof Says Donna Louis, Author Of Book About Miracles, 'Miracles Of Direction'

Donna Louis provides an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. She attempts to expand and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles

A very large percentage of the population believes in not only in miracles, but also in angels. Why do so many of us believe? Because both miracles and angels impact our lives every day. Because they exist. And they give us hope.

Pastor John T. Boston experienced a miracle during an encounter with an angel who intervened on his behalf. Boston was run off the road by a driver who crossed the center lane.  He crashed into a pole, then a fence and a transformer came to rest on his car. Thousands of volts of electricity were running through the car. He was unable to unbuckle his seat belt. The car was engulfed in flames and became so hot the windshield began to melt. Then a man appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. Boston described him as 'scruffy'. The man opened the door of the car with his bare hands.  Boston stated that the man took him out of the car and walked him a short distance away, just before the car exploded. The man then told Boston he had to leave before the police arrived, and disappeared.

When rescue teams arrived they were amazed, as in their opinion there should have been no chance for Boston to survive the accident, as he certainly should have been killed outright by the electricity. They believed it was impossible for anyone to touch a car with a live transformer pumping electricity through it. While some people believe the circuit breaker might have tripped, circuit breakers are designed to reset themselves.  To further add to the mystery, the power company said the area never lost electricity.

Boston is certain he met an angel that day.

Many of us are fascinated with miracles, as they demonstrate there is a Power that lies beyond what our eyes and ears show us. That Power resides not in another realm, but right here on Earth. And it is that Power that is responsible for both miracles and angels. Not surprisingly, that Power has our best interests at heart.

Donna Louis' new book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' gives us something very few books can provide - hope. Louis explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful example of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

For centuries, most cultures and religions have been fascinated with the concept of angels. They are described by a multitude of religious faiths and cited in many spiritual doctrines. All angels are known as “beings of light” because of their awe-inspiring purity and power. Angels are referenced within all faiths, each having their own divine purpose. It has been said that the angel’s purpose is to be there when we face critical junctures in our lives. That is the essence of a loving GOD to send angels to help us.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced three miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

"Miracles are acts of God that proclaim his sovereign power over creation as well as his commitment to the good of his people," Louis stated. "Miracles don't happen when there is smooth sailing in your life. Miracles happen when all hell is breaking loose because that is when they are needed.  When they happen they provide comfort, strength, and enhance a persons belief in God. It is like petting or stroking a dog, it lowers your blood pressure and emanates calm."

Louis was chosen as a winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' awards contest. 'Miracles' has also received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Teens Falling In Love And Meeting Online - Dr Barbara Becker Holstein, Psychologist, Filmmaker And Author Offers Valuable Advice

Dr. Holstein's award-winning books, plays and short films offer solutions to problems that impact today's teens and tweens and helps them develop positive self esteem

Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein is a visionary who combines Positive Psychology with filmmaking and books to help young girls build self esteem. Falling in love used to be about meeting a boy, in person, in the physical world. That is no longer always the case. Today that first meeting is likely to take place via some form of social media online.

Dr. Holstein recently participated in a YourTango video panel entitled, "How Can I Be Successful At Online Dating?".  She feels it is vitally important for girls and women of all ages to understand some very important truths: "As a psychologist, I have heard so many stories about falling in love," Dr. Holstein stated.  "One thing I am sure of, and this is backed by research, particularly that done by Helen Fisher, falling in love is not only normal and common, but it is largely based on biological responses interpreted in our brain as, 'falling in love'.  Of course we have real attraction and interest in certain people and not others.  But the intense feeling of falling in love may have developed as a sure way of keeping the human race reproducing.  The love that lasts, whether a deep friendship or marriage is based on significant information being exchanged and evaluated around values, behaviors, interests, common goals, etc.

"All of this is not easy to understand as we go through the chaos of adolescent development.  That's why in my book 'The Truth, Diary of a Gutsy Tween' and the film version, 'The Truth, a Short Film' the girl starts out in saying: 'I'm in love. I thought I would fall in love when I was much older, maybe 15. Not today....this new kid walked in. As soon as I saw him I knew....'

"This human urge combined with the complexities of growing up and the ways that social media draws youngsters into a world beyond their neighborhoods, leads to pressures that often result in poor self-esteem and discouragement, even depression.  Role models are often hard to find, as researched again and again by Greena Davis.  For example on her website she cites that: 'From 2006 to 2009, not one female character was depicted in G-rated family films in the field of medical science, as a business leader, in law, or politics. In these films, 80.5% of all working characters are male and 19.5% are female, which is a contrast to real world statistics, where women comprise 50% of the workforce.'

"As a positive psychologist and a filmmaker it is my mission to make films that frontline girls and women talking with honesty and deep insight and playing significant female roles in each production.  Combining that mission with New Media technology such as the combined filmmaking of the Selfie video with camera crews is a win-win for girls and women and the industry of films."

As is very evident in her films, both the audience and the girl actors feel the deepened authenticity, as the characters become so real.

The film was also selected by the Jersey City International Television and Film Festival (JCITFF), and will be shown on Saturday, November 5 2016 at the Jersey City International Television and Film Festival.

'The Truth, a Short Film', a longer 16 minute portrayal of a girl growing up, has been officially selected for the Golden Door International Film Festival held in September 2016. The Rahway International Film Festival recently chose the 2 minute version as an Official Selection.

A sequel to 'The Truth', 'Secrets', starring Megan Brown, is currently in production. In the sequel, based on 'Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen', a girl shares her feelings and emotions, and pain, making Selfie Videos of herself.
