Dr. Carson's Statement That Obamacare Is The Worst Thing Since Slavery Is Supported By Medical Literature Says Dr. Richard Ruhling
Dr. Richard Ruhling believes that Dr. Carson's statement comparing Obamacare to slavery is supported by the medical literature. He offers 4 important points for consideration:
· Most medical symptoms are a result of foods that we have eaten for many years.
· Drugs can relieve symptoms but they don't address the cause and usually give us trouble later.
· Medical literature supports prescription drugs as a leading cause of illness, disability and death.
· Obamacare is slavery because it forces people into a system they could do better without.
Dr. Richard Ruhling was board-certified in internal medicine before teaching Health Science at Loma Linda University, a community featured in the cover story on Longevity by National Geographic, Nov, 2005. Ruhling was in charge of Executive Health and doing a detailed food history (something that most practitioners never do). He noted at the time that several executives said sugar, cheese or meat bothered their joints.
Ruhling suffered from headaches but could not determine the cause. He even consulted a neurologist who taught medical students and was told that food would be “a very rare cause” of his type of [tension] headache.
Later, practicing with an allergist, Ruhling learned the neurologist didn't know--he was allergic to wheat. When he ate two sandwiches a day (Mon-Fri) he had no headaches, but on the weekend with little bread, he had headaches most Monday mornings. He couldn't blame partying or hating his job—his symptoms came from a withdrawal of a food to which he had built a tolerance.
Ruhling says its the same mechanism for most people who have symptoms that their doctor doesn't know the cause of, (they don't get their symptoms when they eat their favorite food and get a high). They feel the pain or problem later upon withdrawal or “detox.”
Our bodies are built by the nutrition we give them from the day we are born. If we were “normal” at birth but have problems at 40, 60 or 80, we did it to ourselves, says Ruhling who is retired in good health, and in his mid-70's.
"The science of pharmacology evolved from toxicology—the study of how much chemical will kill half the rats," Dr. Ruhling stated. "Not much has changed. The focus now is symptomatic care and most drugs have a long list of adverse side effects. People should read their prescription's package insert and Google the adverse effects to understand any condition they could have."
Sooner or later, a drug must be discontinued. Ruhling suggests a change in diet before starting a prescription that usually masks a symptom because afterwards we can't tell if we could get better by simply changing our diet. Often a second drug is often prescribed for the adverse effects of the first drug, and that can mean double trouble.
Medical care was seen as a leading cause of death when the Journal of American Medical Assoc. reported 106,000 deaths in hospitals from Adverse Drug Reactions, defined as a drug “properly prescribed and administered.” (4-15-98).
That doesn't seem so bad, but two years later, the Western Journal of Medicine reported 199,000 deaths as outpatients. Added together, this makes 305,000 deaths per year from drugs that were “properly prescribed” and it made medical care the #3 cause of death. The journal also showed--
• For each death, 550 people were sick enough to see their doctor.
• For each death, 40 peope were sick enough to be put in the hospital.
• For each death, 15 people were put in nursing homes (messed up for life?)
Then comes the Archives of Internal Medicine. "From 1998 through 2005, reported serious adverse drug events increased 2.6-fold...fatal adverse drug events increased 2.7-fold." (Sept 10, 2007, p 1752). This article questioned the mysterious increase, but US Congress' approval of TV drugs ads in 1997 should be a clue Ruhling believes.
Since deaths increased 2.7 fold from 1998 to 2005, with TV drug ads continuing, deaths have probably increased another 2.7-fold. Multiplying 305,000 deaths/year by 5.4, prescribed drugs may kill 1.65 million people per year. These are not old people in nursing homes. Most of them weren't even in the hospital.
These figures are close to those for heart disease, but two-thirds of heart disease deaths are from patients over 75, many of whom are in nursing homes.
The average nursing home patient gets 11 prescriptions a day. So if they die suddenly, it might not really be their heart, but unless the doctor orders an autopsy, who knows? It's fashionable to die of heart disease and that's what usually goes on the death certificate. This supports the likelihood that prescriptions could be the #1 cause of illness and death, especially before age 75.
Some nursing home prescriptions are for sleep or bowels--only if needed, but it's no wonder that, on a visit, one may see a resident standing in the hallway, staring into space as he or she fills their diaper and everything is “okaaay.”
By contrast, Dr. Ken Cooper (author of Aerobics) said his mother went for her exercise on Friday, didn't feel well over the weekend and died Monday—no period of disability or custodial care. Staying active helps.
Ruhling moved to DC to confront US Senators with medical literature on prescription drugs until one Senator said, “You are wasting your time--they own us," referring to donations to their re-election by drug companies--$400 million per year, as stated by Marcia Angell, MD, former editor of New England Journal of Medicine on 60 Minutes.
With politicians like that and Pelosi who said, "We need to vote for this Obamacare to see what's in it," Ruhling says we should understand their ignorance and also a willingness to force it on everyone—like slavery, as Dr. Carson said.
Carson sees vaccinations done at school as okay. Ruhling thinks the immune system of tiny infants can't handle the vaccinations, noting that in Japan where they wait two years to vaccinate, the autism is much less and the Amish who don't vaccinate have no autism. Ruhling says he didn't have his kids vaccinated and said if he had, he would have insisted on the vaccine coming from a single dose vial, not a multi-dose bottle with preservatives that can contain mercury or formaldehyde.
Because so much of our health destiny is related to what we eat, Dr. Ruhling offers a special DVD designed to help the average person make better choices. The suggestions it offers have helped untold thousands to reverse heart disease, diabetes and other serious conditions as suggested by the testimonials on his website where the reader can see five minutes of it, including Dr. Esselstyn from the Cleveland Clinic, Bill Clinton's cardiologist when surgery wasn't recommended.

Canadian Indie Author Rusty Blackwood Announces Upcoming Release Of New Romantic Fiction Novel, 'Willow's Walk'
Canadian Indie author Rusty Blackwood, author of 'Passions In Paris', has announced the upcoming release of her new romantic fiction novel, 'Willow's Walk'.
'Willow's Walk' follows the release of Blackwood's romantic fiction novel, 'Passions in Paris: Revelations Of A Lost Diary'. Her first romantic fiction book is a sweeping saga written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'. It has been compared to Erich Segal's 'Love Story' and Nicholas Sparks' 'The Notebook'.
'Willow's Walk' is a gripping new tale, certain to hold readers captive from the very first page. Set in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada in 2003, this touching story centers on the life and times of a woman determined to prevail at all costs, regardless of what is set before her, the result of which is certain to leave the reader reeling in its wake.
The path each person walks is entirely their own. The pitfalls along that path, as well as the way in which they are dealt with are entirely up to the individual. But Willow Sutherland Crosby walks a far-different path, and with her own agenda.
Abuse, deception, intrigue, and a never ending quest for happiness and love - will she find these, or will her blind determination be her downfall?
"As the time grows increasingly near for Willow's release, I grow more excited with each day that moves that celebration closer," states Miss Blackwood. "The novel has encountered a number of setbacks from the first projected publication date, but I have always believed that everything happens for a reason, and in doing so, am thoroughly convinced that the result of such will result in nothing short of a most anticipated Release by my readers, as well as a successful one."
While in pre-release, the book has received a number of 5 star reviews from professional reviewers. Maria Beltran stated, "I highly recommend this book." Gisela Dixon said, ". . . I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the life of a person presented in such a wonderful manner."
'Passions In Paris' has also received rave reviews. Linkk Kula Kane said, "Passions in Paris I think stands its ground with these other powerful romantic stories like 'The Notebook' by Nicolas Sparks. A long kindled love, which finds its place from a romantic spark in the mind of one, to a mounting real life experience between two different worlds, brought together by an on going weave of circumstances, doubts, mystery, and intrigue, that sets ablaze forbidden emotions on a roller coaster ride of endless desire, and surmounting obstacles, that test the strength of their determination to prevail. Miss Blackwood has a rare talent to bring this and more into the minds and hearts of those who have had the privilege to be transported into her wonderful world of story telling."
Reader Fred Pifer stated that 'Passions', " . . .is a fascinating book of a love story that seemed to be written with me in mind. In the book 'Love Story' by Erich Segal, he told of a deep abiding love story that reminds me of Cullen and Joy’s in Ms. Blackwood’s book, but the twists of intrigue and mystery that she adds keeps the reader on edge throughout."
Other reviewers have praised 'Passions In Paris'. Reviewer Cat Howard said, "Eternal love, finding your true soul mate, and how echoes from past lives can influence the present, this story has it all . . . " Another Reader's Favorite reviewer stated, "Enjoyable and exciting, this is a book for people who have romance flowing in their veins." 'Passions In Paris' has a 4 star rating on Amazon.
'Willow's Walk' will be available in November, 2015.Information on the new romantic fiction release, including a new book trailer, is available at Blackwood's site on the 'Willow' page. Books For Christmas - Author Donna Louis Releases New Christian Book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision, and Miracles of Purpose'
Christmas is the time of year when Christians celebrate miraculous events, notably the birth of Jesus, his subsequent ministry and his life. While on Earth, Jesus performed miracles that are still talked about thousands of years later. Miracles did not just occur during the time of Jesus however. Verifiable miracles still occur today.
A miracle is an event that transcends known scientific laws. Louis explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful example of each type, taken directly from the Bible.
Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced three miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.
"Christmas is a time to warm your heart with the joys of the season," Louis stated Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of Christ. What can be more appropriate than reading about the miracles Christ performed, and his greatest expression to his children…love."
'Miracles' has received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Duck Dynasty's Uncle Si Near Death Experience - Author Brian McLaughlin Offers An Expert Opinion On NDE's
A recent piece on Fox News by Molly Dodd referenced what Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty called a "near death experience". The spot where Uncle Si often sits had been destroyed by a fallen tree. As a result of this "near death experience", Si begins to put together a bucket list (Ducket list in Duckese). The results are of course hilarious. The question we must ask is, "Is a close call a near death experience?"
Brian McLaughlin, author of "A Flight Without Wings" believes a close call is not a near death experience, though many people are using the term "near death experience" to describe what is simply a near accident or perhaps a close call.
"An actual near death experience," McLaughlin stated, "Usually results from flat lining, due to accident, injury or illness. It can be a complicated process to understand and even harder to explain. Near misses and close calls are usually a measure of good luck in avoiding that which may result in a near death experience."
My Flight Without WingsIn 'A Flight Without Wings', Brian McLaughlin vividly depicts his journey into Heaven and his following return to life caused by a massive head trauma sustained while vacationing in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico twenty-one years ago. McLaughlin’s journey to Heaven and back brought that sense of certainty, clarity and peace. But what he realized afterward is that the peace we seek is not something we will find far off in an unknown future – it is instead right here, right now. We CAN be certain now. We CAN experience that peace in this very moment. His epiphany occurred when he heard the phrase “My peace I give you,” as he understood, for the first time, what those words were meant to convey.
Unlike some books on the subject, Brian's book is raw. It is real. There is no embellishment, no theology and no hidden agendas or requisites in order to embrace the benefits.
"My book merely gives a simple, non-threatening account of what I saw and felt after passing over, and how that experience has affected my life with unexplained epiphanies afterwards," McLaughlin concluded. "It leaves room for almost all, to adapt or adopt conclusions that support their own belief systems”
Heaven is not a future place. It is instead a current state. Like others who have had the same type of experience, Brian's life was transformed by his near death experience. He knows he was sent back for a reason.
Reviews of the book have been overwhelmingly positive. One stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."
Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal” …. “such profound perspective”

Why Ben Carson's Nazi Analogies Matter; We Should Revisit The Liberal NY Times Opinion Page Says Dr. Richard Ruhling
A recent liberal opinion trivialized Carson for what seemed like wacko views, but maybe the journalist just forgot a few things that Carson remembered. Dr. Ruhling offers the following for consideration:
In the 30 years since REX 84, we've seen a transformation of thinking that internment camps okayed by President Reagan for illegal aliens can now be used for political dissidents and potential domestic terrorists because of their fundamental Bible beliefs.
Maybe we forget “FEMA camps”, but YouTube has 310,000 results for the search including President Obama's explanation of “prolonged detention” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkSkQgnEV-Q) for those who have bad intentions (no history of crime)
In spite of the Posse Comitatus Act forbidding the use military equipment used against civilians, we saw it at Waco where flammable CS tear gas was used in connection with a flame-throwing tank and the media blamed the Branch Davidians.
We saw an Oklahoma City Bombing that got rid of the Waco records stored there with the blame on a fertilizer bomb when former FBI expert Ted Gunderson found other explosives on the supporting columns on the morning after the BATF did “a drill” before and didn't come to work the morning that women and children at a daycare center were blown into eternity.
We've seen Oklahoma City used to get funding for FEMA which is like the BATF on steroids, and yes, they were in NY City when the WTC came down. Search “Building 7” on YouTube for more questions unanswered on how structural steel could turn to powder by an airliner's diesel fuel at the top, and never mind reports of a high-tech nuclear event in the basement, even if came from Russia.
We've seen military exercises that satisfy the warning of Christ to flee in the 13th chapter of Mark, but Christians are like the frog in slowly heating water, not knowing whether to jump or be raptured (http://chooseabetterdestiny.com/rapture.htm).
Ed Snowden did us a favor to reveal the extensive surveillance that now has data on all of us and some people still can't see a similarity to Nazi Germany.
Carson's points may seem odd to those who don't wish to understand them, but gun control to make good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless. And somehow any connection with Islam seems to escape the media as we prefer to wonder, "How can this be happening again?"
In Israel where others have guns, someone shooting on a bus is usually dead quickly. If teachers were taught how to use a gun, we might see less of this as in Switzerland. Guns are to murder as spoons are to obesity.
We aren't seeing gun control as a UN agenda to make it safer for their “peace-keepers” when chaos comes to our cities, of which the 18th chapter of Revelation is a warning.
Nazi Germany would take children from a homeschooling family, but it happened a couple years ago when a German family fled to the US for safe haven, and our government sent them back to face prosecution. Our government did the same with Iraqi Christian refugees in California as we invite Muslims to come.
A town in Germany of 3,000 is being forced to accept 4,000 refugees! Pictures show mostly young men—where are the women, children and elderly? Why won't Muslim countries take the refugees—Saudi Arabia has 100,000 air-conditioned tents empty and won't take a single one.
Islam teaches we are the Great Satan, the holocaust never happened and infidels must convert or die, but it's okay to lie for Allah. Obama got that right—we have surely been misled by the “change” he promised.
Obama must have an abiding hostility for Christians because he says they are a threat to national security. At George Washington University this week, his assistant attorney general, John Carlin, revealed a new position just to monitor Christians. The office of Domestic Terrorism Counsel, will be created to combat the “real and present threat” of domestic terrorism. Carson was more realistic than crazy...while trying to be careful yet honest.
Our Constitution says no taxation without representation. Most Americans would be against most of the above points, so how did it all happen? The word b..st.rd means illegitimate. Isn't that what we see in DC? In summary, maybe Carson isn't so crazy...just trying to be careful and still be honest.

US Troops In Syria - Author Frances Fuller Believes Obama's Reluctance Is A Wise Approach
Frances Fuller author of the award-winner memoir 'In Borrowed Houses', recently expressed agreement with Fareed Zakaria and Eugene Robinson on President Obama’s reluctance to insert American troops into the war in Syria.
Fareed Zakaria said on CNN on October 18 that decades from now we will be glad that Barack Obama refrained from a more active role in Syria. Eugene Robinson in the Washington Post on Oct 5 wrote that Obama is right to be cautious about choosing friends in Syria and right to pursue a long-term goal in contrast to Putin’s short term plan.
Fuller confesses that the game of international intrigue is a subject on which she prefers to keep silent, her goal being to share the human face of the Middle East. “However, armies in countries that are not theirs turns out to be something I have experienced," Fuller stated. “During the civil war in Lebanon it became necessary to get through military checkpoints daily. Over time I engaged Palestinian militiamen, Syrian soldiers, the Israeli army, and the U.S. Marines. I had to learn to live with alien armies and observe the behavior and attitudes of people around me. I learned in the process that war can feel very personal. A man never forgets who killed his brother. A woman resents after a few days the roadblock of an alien army, even an army that claims to be protecting her home. From what I saw and heard, I believe that a bomb dropped is an enemy made, and a soldier in someone else’s street is not safe."
“It is likely that Russia will stay in Syria long enough to be sorry. I am certain that a bully with bullets is a temporary friend, not a leader."
As the result of her time spent as a missionary, Fuller wrote an award-winning book entitled 'In Borrowed Houses'. Told in short episodes, Fuller’s book reveals the alienation, confusion and courage of civilians in the Lebanese civil war, introducing to the reader a variety of real people with whom the author interacts: editors, salesmen, neighbors, refugees, soldiers, missionaries, lawyers, shepherds, artists, students. With these people she works, studies, plays games, prays, laughs and cries, all to the accompaniment of gunfire. Together these small stories tell what war is like for civilians caught on a battlefield, and they create the impression of the Lebanese as a fun-loving, witty, patient and resilient people. They also compose, not a political history, but a historical document of a time and a place.
Critics have praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “…a well written book full of compassion…a captivating story…”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching…”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “….western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”
Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. Fuller's book is available at Amazon and other book retailers. Author Pamela Bush Announces Release Of Contemporary Christian Fiction Novel, 'Out Of The Heart'
Author Pamela Bush has announced the release of 'Out of the Heart'. The new contemporary Christian fiction release presents readers with exciting story featuring a frightened woman on the run from a Mexican gang leader.
In the story line, Mexican gang leader, Don Diego, has thrown Rose out for a more beautiful woman. Calling her “white trash” he ordered her out of their luxurious apartment and then left. Humiliation turned to anger and thoughts of suicide, as Rose threw some things into a backpack. But then, she spied Diego’s valuable gold nugget ring carelessly left on the bathroom sink and Out of the Heart - revenge formulated a plan in her head. Opening his bedroom safe, Rose stole all the money stashed there, but also discovered an incriminating notebook full of names and amounts paid when Diego had them killed. Grabbing it, the money, his iPad, and precious gold ring; Rose ran. It wasn’t until she was on a bus hours down the road, that the idea came to head to her birthplace of Petoskey, Michigan . . . the town where her life changed forever. The town where her father, Jason, upon getting out of prison for manslaughter; murdered a man, kidnapped a woman, and ended up being killed during her rescue by detectives Quaid Williams and his partner, Paul Statham.
"I wrote this book," Pamela stated, "because I had a need to know what happened to Jason Woeberg’s neglected daughter mentioned at the end of Out of the Mire. I had a feeling she would be full of anger and bitterness over what life dealt her and the situations she found herself in. Even though this is a work of fiction, I believe multitudes of people have these same thoughts and I endeavor to help resolve real-time issues through the medium of writing fiction novels."
Pamela Bush is a prolific writer of Christian fiction and Christian nonfiction books. She started writing at the age of 12. She and her husband have lived in many places all over the world. Pamela draws on this experience and knowledge to write novels full of Biblical principles and relevant problem solving for today’s situations. A strong desire to help people cope, coupled with the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit of God, prompted her to begin writing. Babylon Is Identified By 666 And New Jerusalem By 777: A Choice We Can Make Says Expert Richard Ruhling
The Bible's mathematical signature of God is the number 7 as seen from the seven days of the Creation week in the beginning to the many sevens in Revelation at the end. "We also find 666 in the 13th of Revelation as a mark of false worship when in the end-times no one can buy or sell without complying with a 'beast' system of government," says Dr. Richard Ruhling, author of 'The Alpha & Omega Bible Code'.
He reminds us of the pope's claim to be the vicar of Christ, and one of his Latin titles is VICARIUS FILII DEI, with the Roman numerals adding up to 666 (using “U” to count for five) and Vatican means “divine serpent.”
"The good news," Ruhling stated, "is that God has a plan that can let us to opt out of the beast system and avoid the plagues that the 14th chapter of Revelation warns will fall on those who comply or participate in the system of global government that the pope asked of the United Nations and our Congress."
He says opting out requires a better understanding of the wedding parables which many Evangelical Christians misunderstand as a rapture. They think the church is not mentioned after the “knock” in the 3rd chapter of Revelation, but they fail to see other imagery like the pure woman in the 12th chapter of Revelation representing the church in contrast to the harlot in the 17th chapter representing the church of Rome, sitting on seven hills, involved with kings as this YouTube video and others suggest.
When a friend got a pass and put up a table in DC where the pope spoke, his banner of the woman in the 12th chapter of Revelation was mistaken by papal delegates as the virgin Mary, and one stopped to talk, admitting that “the Climate Change is all about keeping Sunday.” Ruhling offers more information here.
We can get 777 and marry Christ as the Bridegroom, according to Ruhling, like Israel did by making a covenant, after which God said, “I am married to you” in the 3rd chapter of Jeremiah. We will need a covenant relationship. When Israel had it, God defended them, as He said in the 34th chapter of Exodus.
The apostle Paul included the Exodus in “all those things happened to them for examples...ends of the age.” We can choose to make a covenant with God. Bible covenants were linked to 7's.
Dr. Ruhling is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at ruhling7@juno.com. 'The Alpha & Omega Bible Code' is available on Amazon. Spiritual Healing, Meditation And Mediumship - Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights', Offers Guidance And Proof
Most of us are familiar with Spiritualist mediumship, in which a medium addresses a crowd of people, then delivers greetings and convincing identification to many of them from friends and loved ones who have passed on.
There is another kind of mediumship that is less familiar to most of us. It is the medium who heals. This medium works the same way that the message-giving medium does — assisted by a spirit guide who heals through the medium from the Other Side of Life. The person who is perhaps the most familiar to us as a source of other-worldly healing is Edgar Cayce, but he didn’t refer to his source as a spirit “guide,” instead, he simply called it “The Source.” Cayce's astounding abilities brought healing to thousands of people.
Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', has direct experience with spiritual healing. As a certified medium, she has seen the results personally.
"My husband and I," Chalfant stated, "received Spiritualist healing in Los Angeles over the years from a man named Malcolm Smith who discovered he was a healing medium when he was visiting his aunt’s house one day and a Spiritualist medium who was also visiting inquired, “Do you know that you’re a healer?” He asked what she meant and his aunt’s friend explained that a spirit guide works with a Spiritualist healer and brings healing from the Other Side through the healer to people who are ill. He went home and successfully tried out his abilities with family members, then later branched out and began to offer healing to the public. He became widely known after he approached the Edgar Cayce foundation, A.R.E., and they began to sponsor his healing in major cities all over America."
"If you have ever thought that you might want to be a healer, you might want to investigate the training program for healers in Spiritualist churches. Malcolm Smith got some experience and advice from them early on in his career. The most powerful healing I have ever experienced was from a healer in my own Spiritualist church in Panorama City, CA, who had developed her healing ability in Brazil where Spiritualism also exists but is called 'Spiritism.' You may want to be a healer and, if so, you couldn’t find a better place to study than with the Spiritualists."
'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how Pat, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.
In addition to offering one-on-one client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book' and three of those songs are in the National Spiritualist Association of Churches hymn book. There are samples of the words and music on her web site, www.patchalfant.com, and ‘Spirit Lights’ song books for sale there, too. She does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Psychic Development DVD'.
Pat Chalfant is currently appearing on The Authors Show. Her interview is available now at The Authors Show site. 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship' is available at her website and at Amazon. Pat is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at pat.chalfant@patchalfant.com. Pat maintains a Youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9qOQWIWR-DUL8hBDqE5TnQ. She is also available for inspirational lectures. More information is available at her website at http://www.patchalfant.com.
About Pat Chalfant:
Oregon Spiritualist Medium Pat Chalfant's amazing psychic gifts have helped hundreds of individuals worldwide. Pat has written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper. Other topics she’s taught and written about are: past life therapy, death and dying, the Edgar Cayce work, the Cathars, and Spiritual healing.
The Association for Past Life Research and Therapies newsletter published a series of her interviews with psychiatrists, psychologists, and hypnotherapists who were all west coast pioneers of past life therapy. Pat believes that series is destined to become a book.
She teaches internationally online and also hosts an online Spiritualist circle, Spirit Lights Chapel.

Is The Pope's Appeal for 'Common Good' Catholic And Against The Inalienable Rights Of The US Constitution Asks Dr. Richard Ruhling - http://bit.ly/1RvF11o
“The core of the pope's message could be summed up in 'Cooperation for the Common Good'...a Roman Catholic principle and...governing strategy,” said US Senator Bob Casey in the Times-Tribune on September 26, 2015.
In a piece in the LA Times, the pope said, “Politics is an expression of our compelling need to live as one, in order to build as one the greatest common good: that of a community which sacrifices particular interests in order to share, in justice and peace, its goods, its interests, its social life.”
In his encyclical, Laudato Si', part of the pope's agenda included Sunday, an issue that was before the US Congress when a Sunday bill was debated by AT Jones. Jones asked, “What on the other hand is the ‘common good’?” It is an indefinite term. Each person defines it to suit himself. Government defines it to suit themselves...In Peru, until recently, it was considered to be for the common good that no Protestant marriage ceremonies should be recognized as valid by the state. In Spain it was for the common good that Protestants should not be allowed to worship in church buildings. The list of instances in which personal rights have been invaded under the plea of the common good might be extended indefinitely."
Jones continued: “And for what purpose is this limitation sought to be put upon natural rights? A quotation from the recent hearing on the Sunday bills before the Massachusetts legislature will explain. A speaker on behalf of the [Sunday] bills said: "When we speak of natural rights, it must be with limitations. Natural rights of the individual in the community are subordinate to the common good. Sabbath laws [Sunday laws] have been proved to be for the common good."
Why does Rome want a Sunday law? Surely not for the poor in this world. The pope is familiar with the poverty seen in most Latin American countries colonized by priests when America was founded, says Dr. Richard Ruhling who spent a summer in Colombia and Venezuela in 1960. He says God blessed America with a Constitution that kept religious interests out of government in contrast to Rome's control of governments which they lost in the Protestant Reformation and when Napoleon took the pope prisoner.
Ruhling claims that Rome gets homage from Protestants who honor Sunday, a papal institution that is based on church authority rather than the Bible. The “first day” (Sunday) is found only once in the book of Acts in contrast to the apostles' practice “every Sabbath”. This video offers insights - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BQUu9fmso4.
Once a Sunday law is passed, dissidents to Rome may be punished for non-compliance—a hallmark of Revelation's beast power and 666, signaled also by the pope's hand sign, says Ruhling, adding that most Protestants are clueless to these issues. Also, Jews and Sabbatarian’s need to exercise discernment regarding Rome's plan for a New World Order that Revelation 13 calls the image to [or of] the beast...
“When the time comes and men realize the social edifice must be rebuilt according to eternal standards, be it tomorrow or centuries from now, the Catholics will arrange things to suit said standards...They will make obligatory the religious observance of Sunday on behalf of the whole of society and for its own good, revoking the permit for freethinkers and Jews to celebrate incognito, Monday or Saturday on their own account. Those, whom this may annoy, will have to put up with the annoyance. Respect will not be refused to the Creator nor repose denied to the creature simply for the sake of humoring certain maniacs, whose frenetic condition causes them stupidly and insolently to block the will of a whole people.” The Liberal Illusion, by Louis Veuillot
To “respect...the Creator” whose memorial to Creation is the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment by honoring the pagan day of sun worship (from the days of Constantine when the pope blessed Sunday) seems odd to Ruhling who says Revelation 13 implies Americans will lose their “inalienable rights” to this papal agenda, all for “the common good.” Trouble will come to America.

New Short Film, 'The Truth', Based On Book For Tweens By Barbara Becker Holstein, Has New Website For Followers Of Film
A new short film, 'The Truth', has begun production in Oakhurst New Jersey. The film is based on the book by Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein, 'The Truth, (I'm a girl, I'm smart and I know everything)'. The short film stars Cassidy Terracciano as the Girl. Cassidy has played Elle Woods in 'Legally Blonde', Sally Smith in 'Me and My Girl', Anne Frank in 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and Jane in 'Tarzan'. The videographer for the film is Lin Pernille, Photographer, Jersey City.
Dr. Holstein is pleased to announce that a new website has been created, (www.NewShortFilmTheTruth.com), that will allow the public to follow the crew through the production process and will give visitors an insiders, "backstage" look at the production of the film as it progresses.
In the film, a young girl keeps her diary and reaches out to others at the same time as she keeps a record of "the truth". She shares her life in her diary and through recording devices, including her phone and a video camera. The film will hold special interest for parents, grandparent and educators, as it allows them to 'get inside the head' of a tween girl and immerse themselves in HER world, experiencing first-hand what she experiences in real time. Topics in the film include:
Falling in love
Hating her mother
Hating her parents fighting
Being afraid to grow up
Being upset that they may move
Loving the locket her aunt gives her and feeling loved in ways by her aunt that her parents can't seem to muster
Wishing the boy she is in love with would grow taller
Confronting her disappointment that she has no relationship with him
Sharing her glee at having a best friend and confiding in each other
Coming to terms with growing up
Letting go of the her first love
Getting ready to move and more.
ScreenshotBarbaraShe turns off her recording devices and closes her diary as they move, happy that she has found a secret way to hold on to herself emotionally as the movers come.
Dr. Holstein also recently presented a play based on the book, 'The Locket', at the Dramatist Guild of America in Manhattan at 1501 Broadway. The play was directed by Bob Angelini, actor/director and Artistic Director of the Revision Theatre in Asbury Park.
Recent marketing campaigns such as #LikeaGirl by Always (introduced during last year's Super Bowl) and #GirlsCan by Covergirl (featuring Ellen DeGeneres and Queen Latifah) are helping to overcome many long held biases. Dr. Holstein strongly believes that it's very important to reach tween and teen girls with empowering messages, as it is in those formative years that one's self image is formed and future plans are laid.
"What is particularly interesting in today's world is the #selfie which has taken disclosure to a whole new level. Everyone records themselves in #selfies. Whereas diaries are often locked, hidden off limits to others, #selfies are often displayed and shared, even to the point of poor judgement. The Girl in 'The Truth' keeps her diary but she also records everything that is relevant to her on her video camera or her phone. Who is the video record for? Herself? Others? A Guardian Angel? Who are all our #selfies for? Only time will tell."
Dr. Holstein also recently released "The Truth, Diary Of A Gutsy Tween". The new book is a revised and expanded edition of her very successful book, 'The Truth: I'm a Girl, I'm Smart and I Know Everything'. The new book is published by Sky Pony Press.
A Facebook page, thetruthforgirls, highlights many of the topics woven into "The Truth". Articles, videos, remarks, conversations, visuals, on this page center around many of the issues that tweens face growing up. These include: self-esteem issues, quarreling in families, divorce, moving to a new home, a new school, best friends, a crush, bullies, a death in the family, money issues, not feeling pretty, feeling sad, feeling lonely, jealousy and more. Dr. Holstein's book for teens and tweens is a first in using fiction for embedding positive psychology concepts.
Her second book in The Truth Series is “Secrets: Diary Of A Gutsy Teen”. In 'Secrets' the girl is 13 years old. She handles many adolescent issues, including a crush, moving, a death in the family, feeling fat and problems with girlfriends. 'Secrets' provides a book kids and parents and grandparents can share and use as a sounding board for needed communication between the generations.
Both “The Truth” and “Secrets” are great for parents, grandparents, older siblings and teachers to establish lines of communication with the tweens and teens in their lives. Both books have been re-released by Sky Pony Press.
Dr. Holstein is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at drbarbara@enchantedself.com. All of her works are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all other online retailers. More information is available at her website at http://www.TheTruthForGirls.com.

Award Winning Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Announces New Award For 'Parents For Sale'
Dr. Nicole recently announced that 'Parents For Sale' is a Bronze Medal winner in the 2015 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Contest in the Children - Animals category.
In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Through parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking.
The award is the latest in a long lineup of awards for 'Parents For Sale'. Other awards include 2015 Dragonfly Books Award: Chapters Book: Honorable Mention; 2015 New York Book Festival: Children’s Book: Honorable Mention and the 2015 Hollywood Book Festival: Children’s Book: Honorable Mention. 'Parents For Sale' is Story Monster Approved, and has received a 5 Star rating from Readers’ Favorite.
"I am pleased," stated Dr. Nicole, "to be awarded the Bronze Medal. "In my writing career, I have the honor to be noted as an award-winning bestseller in Quebec. I am truly grateful and honored for this Reader’s Favorite recognition. It opens the doors to a worldwide career."
Dr. Nicole has sold over 150,000 books in her career. She is highly regarded for her work with children's books and a health guide for families. Her goals are to create in children a love for reading and to create interaction and engagement, all with a focus on helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking.
In 'Parents For Sale', a 44-page, color-illustrated chapter-book, the Clark family encounters a dilemma. Twins Luke and Lucy don’t take care of their dog, Pistachio, as they had promised their parents they would. One day, their mom threatens to sell the dog. A few hours later, when Luke and Lucy’s parents go to the store, the twins concoct a plan to get rid of their parents, which could take Pistachio away from them forever. The book teaches many lessons including responsibility and the value of family relationships.
Dr. Nicole will release two new children's books in November of this year; 'Are You Eating My Lunch?' and 'Strike At Charles' Farm'.
In 'Are You Eating My Lunch?', a 24-page, bilingual (English/French) picture book, a young boy named Xavier visits the zoo. At lunch time, he can’t find his lunch box. He decides to investigate. He asks all the animals the same question: “Are Eating My Lunch?” During his investigation, he learns the animals’ favorite food.
In 'Strike At Charles' Farm', a 24-page, bilingual (English/French) picture book, A young boy named Charles leads a farm. One day, he faces a problem, as the farm animals go on strike. They refuse to work, want to eat more food or sleep longer. In this book, children will learn the value of work, and that with rights come responsibilities.
"As an author," Dr. Nicole concluded, "my intentions regarding being an author are to inspire children to read, to set their imaginations free and to encourage good decision making regarding health, safety and moral responsibility. Writing children’s books is a way for me to give back and be a positive resource to the community. It is a way that I can positively express myself while having some fun and at the same time being a positive role model for both children and parents. These are just a few small steps to make the world a better place. I hope that my books inspire children to set their minds free and work to make the world a better place."
Dr. Nicole is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at audetnicole@gmail.com. All of her works are available on Amazon, AuthorHouse and other quality book retailers. More information is available at her website at http://www.drnicolebook.com.

Author Frances Fuller Believes Some Southern Baptist Leaders Who Found The Pope's Speech To Congress Troubling Should Reconsider
In a recent article on the Baptist Press website by Tom Strode entitled "Pope's speech troubling, Southern Baptists say", it was noted that some Southern Baptist leaders believed Pope Francis' address to Congress lacked clarity on moral issues. A number of specific issues were addressed in the piece. Frances Fuller, author of 'In Borrowed Houses' and a Southern Baptist missionary in the Middle East for 24 years, argued in a recent piece against Baptist leaders who objected to the Pope's speech to Congress. Fuller stated, "Though you admit that the pope 'talked about the dignity of human life, whether the unborn, the elderly or the immigrants, as well as the importance of the family in a free and flourishing society,' you find his words 'fuzzy and evasive' and feel that he 'missed the opportunity to address a moral issue with more clarity.'”
Understanding that they expected the pope to be more explicit on the subject of abortion, Fuller said, “The pope spoke of the need to defend human life at every stage of development. I liked that, because it meant to me that the 20-year-old whom we are sending into battle is just as important to us as a fetus in a womb. It meant that we should be able to love and nurture any child we bring into the world. It meant that a child should not be homeless on the street or wandering the world with refugee parents. He also warned us that greed and self-centeredness are on the verge of destroying our planet and with it the human species. That sounds to me like something highly relevant to the rights of the unborn. You apparently feel that in calling our attention to a huge, many-faceted issue, he neglected the one or two aspects of your own focus. Is it possible that you are more Catholic than the pope?”
To another objection she replied, "Some of you are disturbed by the pope’s statement that the big bang theory does not conflict with the Bible. The American public, reading this, understands that you are walking in the shoes of those who murdered Galileo. I attest that you are NOT upholding the faith of the Southern Baptists who nurtured me in my youth.” Fuller recalled a time when Baptist Sunday School materials taught Genesis as a spiritual book, not a science book.
To another basic protest she replied, “Some of you feel that the pope’s invitation to address the Congress was not appropriate. Because the Vatican is not a state. Because no evangelical pastor was ever invited. I am embarrassed in your behalf, because I find your objection petty and smelling of jealousy.“
Speaking of the public response to the pope, Fuller said, “The whole thing was the clearest evidence I have seen in a long time that the American people are a spiritual people. They want God. They want to believe. That should bring rejoicing to the heart of every Christian. There should be no room in our hearts for jealousy. We are not being discriminated against. We evangelicals simply have no one whose presence seems to represent God.” She added that the pope seemed not to speak for Catholics but for Christians, even for all who seek God.
Finally, she said, "I am not a Catholic…but I congratulate the Catholic Church for producing and choosing such a leader. I feel that he has blessed all of us who would accept the blessing."
'50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards Accepting Votes From Public For 2015 Awards
'50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' has been called the 'People's Choice Awards' for authors of fiction and non-fiction books
'50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' is now accepting votes from the public. While most awards programs hand out awards for books, it is the ARTIST behind the book who should be the focus of the award. Most authors overcome tremendous challenges and work very hard to bring their work to market. The '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' awards contest looks for the 'story behind the story'.
In the world of film, some awards are for best movies, others are for best actors/actresses. Using this analogy '50 Great Writers' bestows awards upon the writer (actor/actress).
In that the contest is about the author, participants submit an essay about their writing journey/career, their expectations as authors, a summary of their body of work and basic information about their books. The public at large is then invited to read these essays and decide whom to vote for.
Authors must build long-term platforms to create ongoing sales and achieve success. People buy books because of the personality BEHIND the work. A great book has very little long-term market value if the author remains relatively anonymous. It is for these reasons '50 Great Writers' focuses sharply on the real story and the personality behind the book.
Award contests must be viewed as being a marketing tool that should be an integral part of the marketing strategies designed by all authors. It takes time to win awards, and the more awards authors win the more recognition for their work they stand to receive.
Voting is currently open for the 2015 contest. Winners will appear in the 2016 edition of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'. Participants include, but are not limited to:
