Bestselling Author Richard McMaster Announces Ebook Giveaway For His Historical Fiction Novel, Voyage Of Life, August 27 Through August 29, 2024

Voyage Of Life is a magnificent work that explores the full range of human emotion and demonstrates how love can withstand even the most profound events without fading away with time.

Bestselling author Richard McMaster has announced that the ebook version of his historical fiction novel, Voyage Of Life, will be available at no charge August 27 through August 29, 2024 at Amazon.

McMaster considers Voyage Of Life to be one of his signature works. Readers and reviewers agree.

In a story printed by The Hudson Weekly, Dennis Keller said, "There have been multiple authors that have made a significant contribution to the world of literacy. In the current era, we have come across several first-time authors with the gift of writing. Richard McMaster is an accomplished author whose works have been praised for their depth, complexity, and emotional resonance."

Voyage of Life is a captivating coming of age in the sixties story about a secret that takes a lifetime to uncover. It is a story about a man’s life, beginning with the period after WWII, continuing through the coming-of-age sixties, the triumphs and tragedies of manhood, and finding peace and resolution in old age. The breathtaking story has unfolding mysteries around losing a father, mother, wife, son, and friends and Sean’s perseverance in life and, in the end, reuniting with his first love.

The story is told as Thomas Cole’s Voyage of Life paintings are portrayed by the women he loves; childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. The paintings are a metaphor for Sean’s life—the verdant landscape and calm waters of childhood turn turbulent in youth, and then early in manhood, the rocky shores of manhood open to a promising sky of old age when he believes that his one true love left him for another man.

In the Hudson Weekly piece, Keller continued with "Richard McMaster never falls into the trap of presenting his characters as simplistic archetypes or caricatures, instead allowing them to emerge as fully-formed individuals with their unique voices and perspectives.

"In addition to his skillful characterization, he is also a master of plot and pacing. The structure of his novels keep readers engaged and invested in the story while also allowing for moments of quiet reflection and contemplation. The author’s writing is often described as “page-turning” or “gripping,” but it is also imbued with a sense of thoughtfulness and depth that elevates his work beyond mere genre fiction.

"Another notable aspect of his writing is his attention to historical detail. In Aaron’s War, he meticulously recreates the time of World War II, capturing the sights, sounds, and smells of a world torn apart by war and genocide. In A Love Divided By Time, he offers readers a distinctive viewpoint on love and life. Overall, Richard McMaster is an author whose works are marked by a deep sense of humanity and empathy. Whether he is exploring the horrors of war or the complexities of human relationships, his writing is always grounded in a profound understanding of the human experience. His novels, Aaron’s War and A Love Divided By Time, are powerful testaments to the enduring power of storytelling and are sure to captivate readers with their vivid characters, intricate plots, and emotional depth."

Voyage Of Life will be available at no charge in ebook form September 27 throught September 29, 2024 at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Richard-McMaster/author/B01LDIJ2QU?ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=true.

McMaster's bestselling historical fiction novel, Aaron's War, details the struggles of a Jewish soldier's experience in WWII. It explores coming-of-age, antisemitism, forbidden marriage, PTSD, and substance abuse, resulting in a powerful story that takes the reader's breath away with its dramatic tale of love, bravery, and sacrifice.

Aaron Vanko, an innocent Iowa farm boy, faces the ultimate test that countless veterans have grappled with throughout history: the harrowing decision to take another's life in the name of duty.

But just as Aaron prepares to embark on this mission, a stunning revelation threatens to upend his entire world: he learns of his Jewish heritage, a discovery that shatters his sense of identity and his relationship with the love of his life.

Despite his fears, Aaron moves ahead, fueled by an unwavering sense of duty and patriotism. But now, he must wage war on two fronts - battling the enemy outside who seek to eradicate the Jewish race, and the inner with ethical dilemma that rages within his own soul.

Aaron is taken on an unforgettable journey of self-discovery, courage, and sacrifice, as he confronts the darkest corners of human nature and emerges forever changed.

Readers and reviewers has have praised Aaron's War. USA Today bestselling author Holly Roberts called Aarons War, "A coming of age story that grips your soul and takes you on a thought-provoking journey." Tom Porter, author of All I Need To Know About Business I Learned From A Duck stated, "An engaging, informative and thought-provoking tale of survival, love and faith. Make room for Richard McMaster on your list of up-and-coming authors." Lynn M. Safris said, “The descriptions and details given throughout this author's writing draw the reader into each page, making Aaron's journey feel like their own. I believe this book would appeal to a wide audience of readers. I truly enjoyed reading Aaron's War and I highly recommend this book."

Richard McMaster is also the author of A Love Divided By Time, described as "one part The Notebook, one part suspenseful psychopath story, and one part Somewhere in Time." In that book, Forrest and Allie believed they found love in a previous life and being born again was a game of hide-and-seek to find each other in plain sight, seeking their better halves, united and whole. When tragedy strikes, Forrest makes a pact to find her killer, raise their daughter and find peace by joining her in the ever after.

Richard McMaster is available for media interviews and can be reached at Lifevoyages@gmail.com. More information is available at his website at https://richard-mcmaster.com/. Graham's new book is an intriguing and informative "must read" from a woman who is probably the best-informed American on the terrifying realities concerning Vladimir Putin's motivations and his control over Trump. It is a warning to all Americans.

Elizabeth Graham had a Top Secret Security Clearance while a senior in high school, and immediately upon graduation began working undercover with the CIA.  She later joined the SAIC's Foreign Systems Research Center (FSRC) for 12 years.  Eight of these years were spent studying Russia and Russian, and managed the largest Russian-language military, technical and intelligence library in the U.S. She began to travel to the Soviet Union and then became one of the very few Americans to move to the USSR. She lived under Communism in the Soviet Union, then Russia, and Central Asia long enough to become bi-cultural - she became Russian. Her first-hand knowledge and understanding of life in a communist or dictatorship country is shared with Americans in her book. In a recent article, she said in part:

On November 9, 2016, just a few minutes after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, a man named Vyacheslav Nikonov approached a microphone in the Russian State Duma (their equivalent of the U.S. House of Representatives) and made a very unusual statement. He congratulated the Russian Duma for Trump's win of the U.S. presidency. The Russians were celebrating one of the greatest intelligence and clandestine operations in modern history. A Russian asset was now the President of the United States.” (Unger, American Kompromat)

At the same time that our planet is hitting record-high destructive and deathly temperatures worldwide - Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and perhaps others are preparing for nuclear war - the primary target is the United States. Each of these countries has their own reason for wishing to attack our country, but behind this group is one person provoking and instigating such destruction and/or war. This person is Vladimir Putin.

Putin's childhood was filled with the glory and expansive magnitude of the Soviet Union, and his dream was to join the KGB in order to protect his country against their number one enemy - which was perceived to be the United States. He obtained his law degree, and perfected his German language skills. In 2005, Putin stated: "First and foremost it is worth acknowledging that the demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the last century." (NBC News, April 2005)

In 1997, a book was published in Russia called ‘The Foundations of Geopolitics’. This book outlines Putin's presidential intentions and his hostile goals toward the West and especially the United States - who he blames for this "catastrophe." His goals include to return the world to the pre-NATO period, to destroy U.S. democracy from within, to return Russia to it’s glory days of the expanded Soviet Union, and so on.

Much like Mein Kampf (Hitler/Germany) and now the book called ‘Project 2025 (USA)’, it is an aggressive description of how a society is susceptible to forms of massive mind manipulation (brainwashing) and over time subjugated to ONE MAN. In Germany, this "one man" was Hitler; in Russia it is Putin; and in the U.S. it is Trump.

The "only" difference in the United States is that Donald Trump is not the leader - but instead most likely a Russian asset controlled by Russian entrapment and bribery methodologies and led by Putin. The Soviet operational model was to place a person loyal to Russia as the head of each satellite country. They did this via bribery, ransom, threats, offers and loans of money, and KGB-employed “professional” women.

In the 1990's when Trump's businesses were financially failing, the Russians bailed him out. His tax records show multi-million dollar real estate transactions via Russians. His sons have bragged (www.vanityfair.com, www.businessinsider.com) about receiving $100 million from Russian banks - which are all controlled by Russian Intelligence (KGB/FSB). Most of all, the U.S. judicial system has found Trump guilty of being a sexual predator (including rape and sexual abuse). In Russian hotel rooms assigned to foreigners, there are cameras and listening devices. The chances of Trump being photographed in compromising positions with women are very high and was probably the bribery tool used by Putin at the Helsinki Summit in 2018.

If Trump is elected, Americans will see a series of potential destructive events: NATO may dissolve resulting in the loss of century-old European allies as they move to protect themselves, Ukraine will succumb to Russia and loose it sovereign freedoms, China may attack Taiwan knowing the U.S. will not come to the aid of this island nation, and the fate of many former Soviet satellites and many NATO nations may again fall into Russia’s control. If Trump follow’s Putin leadership, U.S. citizens may lose our right to vote, banking and financial institutions will be first to change ownership under the Trump government, and the DOJ will be ordered to prosecute those opposed to Trump resulting in the U.S. prison system swelling with political prisoners. Those who actually committed crimes: Manafort, Stone, Weisselberg, Navarro, and others will now be running the government.

More information is available at her website at https://democrazy2020.org/.

From 'Democracy to Democrazy' has received rave reviews and five-stars from readers and reviewers. Kirkus Reviews wrote: "The book's real value lies in Graham's personal story, not only as an expert on Russian society, but as a White grandmother and former Republican who finally came to terms with America's history of discrimination. Graham's astute commentary is also accompanied by an entertaining and informative assortment of political cartoons, graphs, and charts. A well-researched expert guide to authoritarian regimes and the fragility of democracy in America."

An Amazon reviewer stated, "This book is a must-read for Americans who want to know true facts about what's happening to our country. It takes courage to write about the truth and not fall into that 'fake news' trap. This book will give you a stunning perspective - comparing the similarities of how our government operated with Trump at the helm to how Russian government (the DUMA) operates in Moscow. This comparison will shock you. . . . She also connects all the dots of the Trump administration and his partnership with Putin. Thank you, Elizabeth."

Another reviewer said, "Ms. Graham brings a unique perspective on Putin, as well as Trump's many relationships with Russians. She speaks Russian and some Ukrainian and worked under-cover with a top-secret clearance. She lived in Russia for nearly 20 years. She also explains how 'mass manipulation' began in totalitarian countries, and about how so many Americans were 'brainwashed' due to Trump's repetitive rhetoric - a proven form of brainwashing. Her explanations of how Russia operates to entrap foreigners - including Trump - and then threatens their loved ones is an eye-opener for most naive Americans."

Elizabeth Graham can be contacted by email at graham1elizabeth@aol.com . 'From Democracy To Democrazy' is available in ebook, softcover and hardcover at Amazon. More information is available at her website at https://democrazy2020.org.

About Elizabeth Graham:

Elizabeth Graham lives in a quiet rural city in northern Arizona. She had 4 children and has 3 grandchildren. Her oldest daughter died July 16, 2016 when she was in Japan. The Tokyo Police ruled her death a homicide, possibly by poison, which is the signature lethal method used by Russians.

Elizabeth was indoctrinated at a young age by her father who was a senior manager working undercover with the CIA. Her college days were in Los Angeles with the desire to become a high school teacher. However, she was destined to study Russia, Russian language, and live a life of Top Secret clearances and undercover work. This lead to senior nonprofit management positions and consulting jobs in strategic places like Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia, all of the former Soviet countries (15 countries including the Baltics, Central Asia, and Ukraine), Pakistan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Bosnia, Peru, Brazil, and many other locations. In this process of living and working abroad, she became bi-cultural (American to Russian and back) and multi-lingual.

Assisted Living: What You Need To Know Before You Make A Decision - Will I Be Useful Asks Bestselling Author Frances Fuller

Best-selling author Frances Fuller offers an insider's view of assisted living and a unique outlook on aging, based on her own experience. Her insights are penetrating and deal with issues that many seniors and their families are concerned about.

Best-selling author Frances Fuller offers an insider's view of assisted living and a unique outlook on aging, based on her own experience. Her insights are penetrating and deal with issues that many seniors and their families are concerned about.

Most of us look forward with great anticipation to the day when we can finally retire. We will be free to sit back, put our feet up and - do what? Many of us have defined our identity by the work we do. What happens when that is gone?

One of the biggest fears that people have about growing older is the fear of becoming obsolete. This fear is not unfounded, as society often places a high value on productivity and usefulness, and older individuals may feel as though they are no longer able to contribute in meaningful ways. Award-winning writer Frances Fuller, author of the bestselling book on aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old', recently addressed this issue in a post on her site titled, 'Will I Still Be Useful'. In that post she wrote in part:

Debbie, a neighbor of mine fell the other day, in front of her own door, with her little dog on a leash. Joyce, who lives just around the corner, heard the crash and the barking and ran to investigate. Seeing the gash on Debbie’s head, Joyce pushed an emergency button and help was on the way.

That reminds me of something important to discuss.

Elderly Americans in retirement homes are people who have worked hard most of their lives. They have run institutions, built houses, written books, nursed the sick, kept the peace, governed cities, fought wars, cooked meals, repaired what was broken, made music, led choirs, preached sermons, taught algebra, pulled teeth, etc., etc., all while raising children and sending them to college.

They don’t know much about idleness.

Thinking about going to a retirement home, they sometimes wonder: what will I do there all day every day? Will I be of any use to anybody?

There is a bit of ambiguity in their feelings. They don’t want to keep office hours or hang out a shingle, but neither are they ready to forget what they know or stop being citizens and neighbors.

The most interesting thing I have discovered about retirement homes is how many of the good things that happen there are created or proposed and even executed by the residents. And the best administration, at least one that the residents really like, is one that listens to the residents and enables their ideas.

Here are some of the things I know that the residents of one retirement home do to contribute to the good life there:

Welcome newcomers and help them become part of the community

Read to a resident who is nearly blind

Visit the sick

Organize and lead a book club

Keep the library growing and organized

Teach other residents to read music

Teach people to make better use of their computers and phones

Make beautiful and useful objects from the wood of a tree that fell

Paint pictures that hang in the halls

Share food they made in their kitchen

Comfort the bereaved

Buy gifts for poor people in the city

Collect school supplies for disadvantaged children in the area

Plant gardens and share the vegetables

Serve as officers of resident organizations

Sing in the community choir

Accept leadership positions in a local church

Lead games: charades, password, Bingo

Shop for someone who is not able to walk through a store

Walk the dog of another resident who is ill

The possibilities seem endless. After all, a home for the elderly is a neighborhood, in fact, a potentially needy neighborhood, a community of people whose common sharing makes life better for all.

Frances Fuller's book is unique among the many books on aging, because it is personal, while most such books are written from an academic point of view. Most are penned by sociologists, doctors, gerontologists, even the CEO of AARP, and one by a Catholic nun, Joan Chittister. Chittister's book, 'The Gift of Years' is beautifully written, focusing on spiritual values and finding meaning in life. Chittister admits in the preface that she was only 70, which is the front edge of aging, and her book is somewhat abstract.

Atul Gawande’s book, 'On Being Mortal', relates medicine and old age, It enjoys high Amazon rankings, in the category of “the sociology of aging.” It contains a great deal of valuable scientific information and shows understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

Frances Fuller’s book, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.

Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, irresistible — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.

The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”

For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:

Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)

and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.

Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old is truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."

Frances' prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards and has achieved Bestseller status. Frances Fuller was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. It received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.

Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances has shared stories about her life in an interview with Women Over 70, and a recording is available on their Facebook page.

Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. The full text of her latest article is available at her website. Fuller's book is available at Amazon and other book retailers. A free ebook sample from 'In Borrowed Houses' is available at http://www.payhip.com/francesfuller. Frances Fuller also blogs on other issues relating to the Middle East on her website at http://www.inborrowedhouseslebanon.com.

Domestic Terrorism In The US: Norman Brewer's Captivating Political Thriller, January 6: A Novel Available In EBook At No Charge Aug. 14-16, 2024 At Amazon

Midwest Book Review "unreservedly" recommends 'January 6: A Novel,' calling it "essential reading."

Bestselling author Norman Brewer has announced his latest political thriller, ‘January 6: A Novel’ will be available at no charge in ebook form August 14 through August 16 at Amazon.

In a recent quote, General Michael Hayden, retired four-star Air Force general and former director of the CIA and National Security Agency said, “January 6: A Novel underscores my worries that the assault on the Capitol could happen again, defiling our freedoms and threatening our democracy.”

Domestic terrorism is not new, but the potential ramifications of an armed insurrection in the United States would certainly pose a dire threat to democratic institutions, ignite civil unrest, and destabilize the economy, most likely worldwide. Brewer’s spellbinding novel gives us a chilling look at what might have been.

Who better to present a dire warning via an engrossing political novel than a former award-winning Washington journalist? Ron Cohen, former managing editor of UPI, said, "Journalist/novelist Norm Brewer has masterfully combined both those skills in a cracklingly good narrative of the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. His terrorists might be fictional characters, but he has so skillfully woven them into the horrors of that day you will feel like you've known them all your life."

In Brewer's masterful political thriller, democracy is assaulted when the President’s rally morphs into a mob and storms the Capitol. Right-wing extremists take the House Speaker hostage, force a standoff, and unleash domestic terrorist attacks. The President weighs declaring martial law to restore order – and justify refusing to leave office.

The ebook version will be available at no charge August 14 through August 16, 2024 at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Norman-Brewer/author/B0756KLHZM?ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=true.

In their review, Midwest Book Review stated, "Although a work of fiction, 'January 6: A Novel' provides genuine and vivid insider glimpses of what might come next in 2024 in real life. All kingdoms, empires, and nations throughout history have risen, flourished, and then fallen. America may not be an exception. Following a disputed election in 2020 and the possibility of an insurrectionist political candidate being once more defeated at the polls, the very real possibility of what is described in 'January 6: A Novel' makes it an unreservedly recommended addition to community and college/university library collections – and essential reading for those with interest in politics, terrorism, freedom, and the future of the United States of America."

Readers and reviewers alike have praised 'January 6'. Retired Army Maj. Gen. Mari Eder said, "Everyone who watched the events of January 6th unfold live on television that day in Washington knows how close this country came to total calamity. Norman Brewer's take on the events of that day is fiction, but only barely so. It will enthrall, frighten, and draw in the reader to feel as though they are inside the events of the day and leave them gasping with the awareness of what might well have been."

G. J. Meyer, New York Times bestselling author of 'A World Undone,' stated, "Drawing on skills honed as a Washington journalist, building on his exhaustive knowledge of what happened at the Capitol on that horrendous January day, Norman Brewer spins an all-too-plausible tale showing how easily events could have followed a worse course, with consequences even more ominous for the future of our democracy. The result is a great read and a work of genuine value."

'January 6: A Novel' is book 3 in the Anti-Hero Rebellions series. Book 1, 'Blending In: A Tale of Homegrown Terrorism,' introduces Stickman and Maple, homegrown terrorists hell-bent on bringing down the government. They break the mold of terrorists being social misfits, extremists seeking martyrdom. Stickman and Maple are trained and disciplined. They hold down jobs. They blend in. They could be your next-door neighbors.

Except for being hell-bent on upending government. These anti-heroes launch murderous attacks on “soft” targets – a press conference in DC, an iconic mall in the Heartland. Hundreds die. Fear grips the nation. Other extremists join their horrific crusade.

In Book 2, 'Killer Politics: A Satirical Tale of Homegrown Terrorism,' a Trump-like president inspires a white supremacist to launch attacks on innocents in a ruthless bid to incite civil war – and defend the "American way of life." Hoss, the supremacist, teams up with a "Most Wanted" terrorist to attack a rock concert, contaminate the food supply, destroy a reservoir, and flood homeowners living downstream. People die. Fear mounts. A rogue FBI agent is in hot pursuit.

Razor-edged satire, aimed at a so-called President Tower, is "keen and stinging," one reviewer said.

Norman Brewer was interviewed on The Authors Show. His interview can be accessed at https://wnbnetworkwest.com/channel/1/?play=January%206%3A%20A%20Novel. He is available for media interviews and can be reached by email at bbyb1@outlook.com. All of the books in the Anti-Hero Rebellions series are available in paperback and ebook versions at Amazon and other book retailers. 'January 6: A Novel' is also available at Amazon in audiobook format.

About Norman Brewer:

Norman Brewer is an award-winning reporter and editor who worked for The Des Moines Register and Tribune and for Gannett News Service in Washington, D.C. As a reporter, he covered Congress, the White House, and federal agencies, and pursued investigative projects that earned recognition, including from the National Press Club. He was also Director of Employee Communications at the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

His experience has given him a powerful perspective regarding the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol, domestic terrorism, and the political landscape. Exposure to terrorism issues helped shape 'January 6: A Novel' as well as two earlier novels, 'Blending In: A Tale of Homegrown Terrorism,' and 'Killer Politics: A Satirical Tale of Homegrown Terrorism.' 'Killer Politics' can be read as a stand-alone book or as a sequel to 'Blending In.'

Brewer lives in Portland, Ore.

Animal Rescue And Bullying Are Key Story Elements In Bestselling Author Jody Sharpe's New Novel, The Dog Who Came For Christmas, An Angel's Tale

As a former teacher of special needs children, Sharpe has direct experience regarding the effect bullying has on children. Her award-winning, bestselling books help readers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

Animal rescue and bullying are topics near and dear to Jody Sharpe, bestselling author of the Mystic Bay Series. All of her books center on the concept of angels living on Earth. That central element continues in her new book, number 6 in the series, 'The Dog Who Came For Christmas, An Angel's Tale'.

In her everyday life, Sharpe is deeply involved with animal rescue. She hopes to protect animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment. She has also taken a firm stance against bullying, having worked for many years as a teacher of special needs children. In 'The Dog Who Came For Christmas', she has combined both of these life-defining topics with the concept of angels living on earth.

Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force Knight, proves to be a force to be reckoned with once more. While Gayle was sleeping, an angel sent her a vision of a future event. With her intuition, Gayle wonders, will she really meet the dog in her dream and save another one?

With the help of her intuitive husband, Alex Knight, and friends, Gayle sets on a course to rescue many more. But with surprising twists and turns of intrigue, both Gayle and Alex find there are always angels at the helm as they ride on their coattails.

"One of my life’s greatest blessings has been my steadfast love for animals," Sharpe wrote in a recent blog post. "As a mother, grandmother, and retired teacher of children with special needs, I have found joy in loving my children, grandchildren, my students and all the animals I’ve rescued over the years. Showing our children and grandchildren how to treat animals should be primary by example always. My soon to be published novella, 'The Dog Who Came For Christmas, An Angel’s Tale' is just that, a love letter to all the animals my husband, Dave and I have rescued over many years and the animals our own children and friends have rescued.

"Those who treat our children poorly are clearly those who could also be animal abusers. The bully never wins in my fantasy Mystic Bay Series and how I wish it could be true in our own towns across the world. Love and kindness wins!"

Sharpe recently received an honorable mention in the 2024 National Federation of Press Women's Professional Communication contest at the national level for one of her novels, ‘Summer of Angels’. This is the fourth NFPW win for her. In 2023, ‘20 Moon Road, An Angel’s Tale’ took First Place nationally in the novella category. ‘Town Of Angels Christmas’ placed At Large, as did ‘Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder’.

Books by Jody Sharpe include:

To Catch an Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch an Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch an Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California, and only two people know it. First, there’s Hannah, a tender curly-headed half-angel. Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe, but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he's written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Town Of Angels - Angel vs. Bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well-kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children, all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as brute, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give in to the bully's efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angel sightings, angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer, and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match through the soft voices and intuitive minds of his neighbors.

Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women's At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It's a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life's journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life."

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

Special Needs Children followed her recently released children's book about angels, When The Angel Sent Butterflies. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear, and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

Her latest book, Summer Of Angels, is a mystery novel. Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force proves a force to be reckoned with as she moves back to her beloved Mystic Bay, California. While sleeping, an angel sent her a vision in a dream of a future event. Gayle realizes she must use her intuition to save an old man from drowning. But who is this old man?

With the help of intuitive attorney, Alex Knight, she finds they are caught in the middle of a future crime. But can Gayle and Alex solve the case and save the old man before it’s too late? With surprising twists and turns of intrigue and love, Gayle and Alex find there are angels at the helm as they help prove the bully never wins.

In addition, on the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real-life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters, and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Top Motivational Speaker And Bestselling Author Rocky Romanella On How To Avoid Micromanagement And Getting Bogged Down In Details, Leading To Improved Team Performance

Renowned as a keynote speaker, trainer, and Forbes Contributor, Romanella founded 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. With 40+ years in leadership, he served as CEO and Director at UniTek Global Services after a 36-year UPS career.

As leaders, we all want to be on top of things and be certain we are doing everything in the most productive, efficient way possible. However, taking this too far, getting bogged down in detail, can create a suffocating environment that stifles creativity, autonomy, and productivity. It can lead to stress, anxiety, and burnout for leaders and their teams. It can create delays, inefficiency, and a backlog of work, all of which can hinder performance. In short, micromanaging and getting bogged down in detail can actually create the opposite of what we hope to achieve. Top motivational speaker and bestselling author Rocky Romanella addressed this vitally important issue in a recent newsletter article. In that article he wrote in part:

Whether we care to admit it or not, we all get bogged down in details. Many times, we get ourselves bogged down through our desire or belief that to be successful we must be on top of every detail, especially in our most important responsibilities. We become the victim of "Analysis Paralysis".

We spend our time not as leaders, managers, and coaches, but as a player trying to play every position. We operate at every level of the business, sending a message to our people that we do not believe they can perform their responsibilities.

To understand the depth and breadth of your ability to get bogged down, analyzing a few cultural descriptors may help you understand the way you get things done and how work is performed. It can help you to understand your process, your management rhythm, and how you perceive, think, feel, make decisions, and interact with your people and how you execute your responsibilities.

These descriptors are not absolutes, but a great starting point for your self-reflection:

Cultural Descriptors:

Compliance vs Creativity
Individual contributor vs Teamwork
Technology driven
Performance driven
Continuous improvement
Rapid growth vs Slow Growth
People orientated vs Productivity oriented
Participatory management vs Command & Control
Self-directed work teams vs traditional management
Acceptance and Appreciation for Diversity
Line of sight between job and Company Mission

After careful and honest self-reflection, the next step is to explore the current environment you are in that is affecting how you manage and the degree to which you micromanage, which leads to bogging down in the details.

Some thoughts on the environment:

Is the pressure to perform low, equitable, fair, and reasonable, or unreasonable?
Is out of the box thinking encouraged or discouraged?
Are compliance, ethics, or legal issues ever denigrated or marginalized?
Is bad conduct rewarded or tolerated?
Does short-term thinking dominate?
Are employees proud to be part of the organization?

Finally, it is important to give some concentrated thought to what you consider the most important issues that you will face in the next couple of years and the speed at which change will come. Your speed and the ability to set the pace will be a direct result of your ability to not be bogged down.

Your ability to build world-class teams that you trust, empower, and give the authority that equals their responsibility will free you from the anchor of the bog and allow you and them to grow and flourish. Your team becomes the engine to drive results, your people become the solution not the problem.
