Inspirational Book Series, 'Tales2Inspire', To Make Donations To American Heart Association

'Tales2Inspire' is an ongoing series of books filled with inspiring and motivational stories compiled by Lois W. Stern

Lois W. Stern, creator of the 'Tales2Inspire' series of inspirational books, announced today that a portion of all proceeds from sales of the book series will be donated to the American Heart Association.

'Tales2Inspire' is a growing collection of anthologies of varied themes, with each book containing a compilation of stories filled with uplifting, inspiring messages compiled by author Lois W. Stern. Stern has authored some of these stories herself, but many more of them come from winners of her annual ‘Tales2Inspire’ contest.

Donating to organizations such as the American Heart Association is commendable. Stern however has a very specific reason for choosing The American Heart Association.

"With little warning, the bombshell hit," she recalled.  "My husband needed open heart surgery: quadruple bypass surgery, aortic valve replacement and ablation. He soldiered through, only to learn that X-rays showed a blood clot on his lung. He needed another surgery 24 hours later. - the surgery that nearly did him in. He actually flatlined on the gurney as they were preparing to return him to recovery. My sons and I were called together to listen to the worst possible news: it didn’t look like he was going to make it. I was in total shock, shouting at the attending physician, 'This second surgery was supposed to be simple-through-the-ribs surgery, and it killed him.' I heard code blue signals in the distant background. Little did I know that they had called together four of the most eminent surgeons from this large teaching hospital, who miraculously brought him back to life. Six years later, he is alive and well and full of energy. That is why I am contributing twenty percent of my Tales2Inspire book sale proceeds to two charities dear to my heart, The American Heart Association is one of them.”

“We are constantly bombarded with news of the three Ds: disasters, disease and death. A bit of positive energy during these often cold and unsympathetic times can go a long way to lighten and strengthen our spirits,” said Stern. “And because each story in the 'Tales2Inspire' collection is true, these books deliver exactly what they promise: inspiring stories to warm our hearts, lift our spirits and give us hope.”

Lois W. Stern has discovered that inspiring stories can be found everywhere. She continually seeks submissions by talented writers, but also keeps alert to news of unsung heroes whose fascinating stories find their way into one of her books. Each of the inspirational stories, including those submitted by Stern herself, is judged anonymously by a peer group to determine eligibility for publication. There are no fees to submit for consideration, and winning authors receive many no-charge platform-building opportunities.

The benefits of being a contributing author to 'Tales2Inspire' include, but are not limited to:

* Author's story published in a respected book collection

* Author’s headshot photo and mini-biography published inside the book

* Name listed on Amazon.com as a contributing author

* Story featured and promoted as the inspiring story of the week on the Tales2Inspire website.

* Story highlighted with an introductory video trailer on our  YouTube Winning Tales Channel

* Story featured on the Tales2Inspire Facebook page, selected LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter and other social media groups

* Story featured in the Inspiring Stories monthly newsletter, distributed to hundreds of subscribers, on a rotating basis throughout the years.

* Opportunities for free and low cost promotions on the Tales2Inspire Spotlight page, the YouTube Winning Tales Channel, media releases, personal bookmarks to match author’s story, and much more.

* Discounted prices for bulk orders of ten or more books, mix or match titles.

Full details about Stern’s annual contests, the books in the 'Tales2Inspire' series, and the authors and their stories are available on the 'Tales2Inspire' website.

Lois W. Stern is available for interviews and presentations. A sought after speaker, she holds her audiences in rapt attention with multi-media presentations of her winning stories and can be reached using the information below or by email at tales2inspire@optimum.net.

Although the books in the series are available at Amazon and other online retailers, readers need to place their orders at the website to have 20% of the proceeds from the sales of the books donated to their choice of charity: either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. More information is available at the site at http://www.tales2inspire.com.

Profile:

After twenty years as an active educator, Lois W. Stern continued to pursue her love for writing, and soon became co-editor of the then popular Long Island web-zine, LI EYE. As she created and authored the column ‘Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives’, she solidified her special niche as an investigative journalist. She has put those same talents to work in creating the ‘Tales2Inspire ’“Authors Helping Authors” project/contest and working to encourage and nurture the skills of each of her participating authors. Since she initiated this project in 2012, Lois has published five Tales2Inspire books: 'The Emerald Collection' ("Beyond Coincidence" stories), 'The Topaz Collection'  (Stories of "Awakenings & Aha Moments") 'The Sapphire Collection' (Stories that "Echo in the Mind") the 'Ruby Collection' ("Gifts of Compassion" Stories) and her newest book, ‘Tales2Inspire - The Crystal Collection' (Stories that Tickle the Funny Bone), reminding us that humor is also a great anecdote for uplifting one’s mood and replenishing the soul.

New Online TV Show, 'Paint Yourself Into The Picture' To Air Beginning February 29, 2016

The new online television show features coach Reba Linker; it is offered and produced by Your Own University TV and VCN TV

A new online television show, 'Paint Yourself Into The Picture' will hit the airwaves beginning February 29, 2016. The show will be hosted by best-selling author and coach Reba Linker. The first episode features Barry Selby, professional speaker, # 1 best-selling author and relationship transformation expert.

When we look outside ourselves for what we desire, we tend to forget that our happiness comes from within. When we don’t plan our roles in the correct way, we either get run over by the momentum of the thing –  burnout – or we become scared to embark on any new project. Yet there is no need to give up our dreams and high hopes – nor should we have to.

The 'Paint Yourself Into the Picture' program is designed to help viewers create not only what they want, but also the experience that they wish  to have – how they hope to feel while moving into new areas of experience. Viewers will learn how to create a bright vision of a new life, and let that be the blueprint for moving forward.

Coach Reba says: “All our dreams are there for a reason, and all our dreams have the potential for success, the key is in the execution. It is extremely important how we go about creating our dreams into reality, in other words, how we ‘paint ourselves into the picture’ for the best and happiest results. The right kind of preparation can make all the difference.”

Coach Reba’s first guest, Barry Selby, known as the Love Doctor to his friends and clients, is a professional speaker, # 1 best-selling author and relationship transformation expert. Barry wanted to increase his business outreach to include large speaking engagements, but first he needed to learn how to "paint himself into the picture" for greater success.

As the author of a number of inspiring books, Reba’s recent bestseller, ‘Imagine Self-Love: A Journal,’ guides the reader to strengthen the relationship with the self, and see all relationships thrive. Readers say:

“Commit to the work in this journal and you’re committing to going full-steam ahead on the powerful train to self-compassion. Deep and meaningful changes ahead!”

“Looking to love you more? Reba’s book will transform your love for you. The layout of the journal, I love. Each writing prompt will help you embrace your love for you in a simple way. The action steps are easy to do and support your process. There is much to love about this book.”

The book is now expanded into an online course, "9 Self-Love Keys to Change Your Life," and it is offered for a limited time on a pay-what-you-wish basis through the Daily OM - it’s a great opportunity to dip your toes (or dive deep!) into the self-love waters!

Her ‘Little Book of Manifesting Big', gives readers the tools to practice conscious, deliberate manifesting. This inspirational book for women has received rave reviews:

“If you thought you knew everything there is to know about manifesting, think again. In this, short, sweet, powerful book Reba unleashes some gems you don’t want to miss."

“The Little Book of Manifesting Big takes on a huge topic and makes it simple, manageable and doable. In it, Reba Linker shows how we truly do create our own reality!”

“I loved loved loved it…I felt as though I were hearing these words from a good friend.”

Reba Linker is also the author of Amazon Kindle bestseller 'Follow the Yarn' available on Amazon and a children’s book, 'The Compost Heroes: A (Mostly) True Fable for Modern Times', which was endorsed by folksinger Pete Seeger, available only through her website at http://rebalinker.com/books/.

Reba is also a featured writer for Huffington Post. All of her articles can be viewed at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/reba-linker/.

Reba Linker is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at reba@rebalinker.com. The premier episode of 'Paint Yourself Into The Picture' is available at http://www.yourownuniversity.tv. 'The Little Book of Manifesting Big', is available at Amazon.com and wherever books are sold online. More information is available at her website at http://www.RebaLinker.com.

Free Download Of Trailer From New Short Film, 'The Truth', By Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein Now Available

Dr. Holstein's award-winning books, plays and short films focus on issues that impact teens and tweens and help them develop positive self esteem. Her new short film was chosen to be screened at the Garden State Film Festival

Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein has announced a free download of the trailer for her new short film, 'The Truth'. 'The Truth' was accepted into the Garden State Film Festival. The new short film addresses issues that affect teens and tweens. While many young people struggle with these kinds of issues every day, parents, grandparents and educators may struggle just to even understand the issues involved. Many of the issues young people must face today, such as cyberbullying, did not even exist just a few year ago.

The film is based on her book, 'Secrets: Diary Of A Gutsy Tween', which was recently awarded a Silver Medal in the 2015 Moonbeam Book Awards in the Pre-Teen Fiction category.

As a Positive Psychologist, Dr. Holstein is dedicated to helping teens and tweens build self esteem. Much of her focus is on social media and how it affects young people.

In the storyline, a young girl shares her experiences, feelings and perceptions about important issues - falling in love, hating her mother, hating her parents fighting, being afraid to grow up, being upset that they may move, loving the locket her aunt gives her and feeling loved in ways by her aunt that her parents can't seem to muster, wishing the boy she is in love with would grow taller, confronting her disappointment that she has no relationship with him, sharing her glee at having a best friend and confiding in each other, coming to terms with growing up, letting go of the her first love, getting ready to move and more.

"A friend asked me, 'How does it feel as a psychologist, to now have the opportunity to see my film 'The Truth, a Short Film' accepted at the Garden State Film Festival and have your play version, 'The Locket' go into rehearsal?'

"I told her that as a psychologist it is thrilling as a lot of my life work is embedded in my two books, 'The Truth, Diary of a Gutsy Tween' and 'Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen', upon which 'The Truth, A Short Film' and 'The Locket' are based.  Finally I can begin to see critical issues in growing up brought to life in film and drama.  I am particularly smitten with the notion of 'Self'.  It is critical in growing up to hold on to the best parts of ourselves and be able to access them.  It is also critical to be able to get in touch with the early wisdom  and playfulness that all of us once had. In the film version, the girl is able to find a secret way to hold on to the best of herself.  And in the play version, 'The Locket', Self actually comes alive as an imaginary but very real character, to help all of us remember our essential being.

"As a woman, seeing my work merge from the treatment room, to books, to a film and a play, all I can say is I am elated.  I hope I serve as a role model for many, many women and girls.  If I can be true to my 'Self', you can be true to your Self.  I am no different from you. There is a kid inside of you with brilliance, energy and courage.  She has stamina and determination and a sense of humor.  You just have to find her again or if you already have found her, start running and funning. The world will be better off for you sharing your talents."

"My friend laughed and said, 'You just made up a new word, 'Funning'.  I love it. I see what you mean.  No adult psychologist would think of that word. I bet the kid inside of you came up with it.'"

To celebrate inclusion in the Garden State Film Festival, Dr. Holstein has made a no charge download of the trailer of the film available at The Truth For Girls website at http://www.TheTruthForGirls.com.

Dr. Holstein's entire body of work is great for parents, grandparents, older siblings and teachers to establish lines of communication with the tweens and teens in their lives.

'The Locket' will be played at The Grange Playhouse at 4860 Rt. 9, South Howell, NJ on March 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. Tickets are $18 regular admission, $15 for seniors and students and are available by phone at 732-768-2709. Showtimes are 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, 3pm on Sundays.

'The Truth' will be shown at the Garden State Film Festival on April 1 between 3 and 5.

Dr. Holstein is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at drbarbara@enchantedself.com. All of her works are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all other online retailers. More information is available at her website at http://www.TheTruthForGirls.com. Information on the film can be found at the film's website at http://www.newshortfilmthetruth.com.
