The Anguish Of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) And The Path To Healing Addressed By Dr. Kixx Goldman, Author Of Bestselling Book, Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard

'Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard' contains fictionalized inspiring stories, based on real life and professional experience. The ebook version is a bestseller in the Single Author Short Stories category.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a very complex, life changing condition. The effects can be profound and can last a lifetime. Dr. Kixx Goldman, author of the bestselling book, Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard, discussed TBI in a series of posts on her website. The series, Crash, is raw and compelling, as "Samantha", the subject of the story, is the author's close friend. The damage went far beyond the effects of the TBI, as Samantha sadly lost a child in the accident that caused the TBI.

In Part 1 of this heart-wrenching piece, Dr. Kixx wrote, in part:

Back in the day, when I studied for my doctorate, I learned about human psychological, social and emotional development-- and challenges. During that time, I helped children with learning disabilities. I read about TBI — Traumatic Brain Injury — and strategies for re-education, from a glossy blue and yellow workbook called Brain Stars – Brain Injury: Strategies for Teams and Re-education for Students. An excellent source book, but no real people stepped out of the book and spoke to me.

Not until years later. After I'd met Samantha. Sam was also in a helping profession and we traded advice and became friends.

I was in awe of Sam’s intellect and wit, and her awesome energy. That was before her injury and the story I wrote about it, Crash.

Recently, I ran across a description by Dixie Coskie, TBI Ten Years Later: A Mother’s Story Continues. The author notes: “But the reality is — unless you have experienced the loss, the heartache, and the ripple effects that brain injury can inflict — you cannot possibly understand the magnitude and the seriousness of the life-altering implications. The long-term impact that TBI imposes on the injured person, family members, and friends is unthinkable.

The full text of the blog Crash is available at https://drkixxgoldman.com/trauma/missing-samantha-traumatic-brain-injury/.

In her bestselling book, 'Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard - Stories Of Courage And Healing', Dr. Kixx takes readers on a journey that is an illuminating exploration into intuition, resilience, and emotional honesty. Through a collection of eight realistic but fictional stories, she begins to show us key strategies for navigating life's challenges with courage and authenticity. Every one of the stories serves as a compelling testament to the transformative power of honoring one's own inner voice. The key word here is "own". Every form of trauma is unique to the individual, and thus requires a one-of-a-kind approach. She has a talent that allows her to help guide readers to discover their own paths, without resorting to preaching or promising.

From the struggles of devoted fathers and resilient teachers to the often courageous defiance of therapists and survivors, the characters in "Speak from Your Heart" exemplify the resilience of the human spirit and will. Through these stories, readers are reminded of the inherent strength that lies within each of us, inspiring us to heal and reclaim our power. "Speak from Your Heart" is not just a book—it's a beacon of hope and healing, offering readers real insight for navigating life with grace and resilience.

The eight engaging fictional stories in this collection are personal, drawn from experiences in Dr. Kixx's life and the lives of her clients. The characters are tested by everyday traumas...

• A devoted father and his daughter find hope in rewriting their past.
• With remarkable grit, a teacher escapes a surprise attack.
• To heal his childhood wounds, a man must conquer his fears.
• A therapist defies the establishment to protect her clients.
• As she confronts the church, a therapist regains her standing.
• A woman learns the risks of not speaking out.
• By sharing her story and bonding with peers, a woman overcomes her trauma.

As the characters in these stories find the courage to triumph over their challenges, they heal and grow.

Inspired by real life people, characters show readers how to find the courage to transform difficult and traumatic life experiences, speak their truth and reclaim their power.

'Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard: Stories Of Courage And Healing' has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers. Leslie S. Greenberg, PhD, distinguished Research Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Psychology, York University said, " In each story, the characters' resilience is illustrated by how they transform difficult life stories into constructive final narratives. They find the courage to triumph over challenges to heal and they grow. The message of the book: speaking one's truth makes for desired change and healing."

In her review, Liz Moulden said, "The short stories from Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard have given me a second chance and a voice, the voice I never had. What's exciting about this book is each main character in these short stories experienced some kind of abuse/ trauma but each finds their inner voice. With help, they're able to heal. Anyone who has ever experienced abuse or trauma as I have will be able to see snapshots of themselves in these stories."

In addition, Dr. Goldman offers a treasure trove of related information on her blog. Her articles span topics from diversity to human relations, psychology, single parenting, immigration and children, marriage and family and much more. The blog can be found at her website.

Elizabeth Graham Reveals New Details About the Relationship Between Donald Trump and Russia In Bestselling Ebook 'From Democracy To Democrazy'

"Graham's new book is an intriguing and informative "must read" from a woman who is probably the best-informed American on the terrifying realities concerning Vladimir Putin's motivations and his control over Trump. It is intended as a warning to all Americans." - Kirkus Professional Book Reviews

Elizabeth Graham had a Top-Secret Security Clearance while a senior in high school, and immediately upon graduation began working undercover with the CIA.  She later joined the SAIC's Foreign Systems Research Center (FSRC) for 12 years.  Eight of these years were spent studying Russia and Russian, and she managed the largest Russian-language military, technical and intelligence library in the U.S. She began to travel to the Soviet Union and then became one of the very few Americans to move to the USSR. She lived under Communism in the Soviet Union, then Russia, and Central Asia long enough to become bi-cultural - she became Russian. Her first-hand knowledge and understanding of life in a communist or dictatorship country – as compared to a democracy - is shared with Americans in her book and it should serve as a warning to all Americans.

“On November 9, 2016, just a few minutes after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, a man named Vyacheslav Nikonov approached a microphone in the Russian State Duma (their equivalent of the U.S. House of Representatives) and made a very unusual statement.  He congratulated the Russian Duma for Trump's win of the U.S. presidency. The Russians were celebrating one of the greatest intelligence and clandestine operations in modern history. A Russian asset was now the President of the United States.” (Unger, American Kompromat and quoted by Graham in From Democracy to Democrazy)

In 1997, a book was published in Russia called The Foundations of Geopolitics.  This book outlines Putin's presidential intentions and his hostile goals toward the West and especially the United States - whom he blames for the downfall of the Soviet Union. He said: “this was the largest catastrophe of the last century." (Ibid) His goals include to return the world to the pre-NATO period and to destroy U.S. democracy from within. His invasion and war in Ukraine is in fulfillment of these goals.

Much like Mein Kampf (Hitler/Germany) and now the book called Project 2025 (USA), The Foundations of Geopolitics is an aggressive description of how a society is susceptible to forms of massive mind manipulation (brainwashing) and over time subjugated to ONE MAN.  In Germany, this "one man" was Hitler; in Russia it is Putin; and, according to Graham, in the U.S. it is Trump.  From Democracy to Democrazy discusses this progression and what it means for Americans.

Graham lived in Russia during the fall of the Soviet Union, the democratization stage with Yeltsin, and then the rise of Putin from a KGB spy to the FSB director where he oversaw all of Russia’s security and banking, to the Prime Minister and then to the President/Dictator of Russia.  From Democracy to Democrazy presents several charts that clearly demonstrate: (1) Putin’s formative KGB spy years spent in East Germany (he speaks fluent German) when it was still a fascist state, (2) Trump’s many trips to Russia and his visits to the Beverly Hills nightclub in Moscow. Graham’s oldest daughter Lize managed this nightclub. (3) the progression of fascism from Germany to Russia to the U.S.

In the 1990's when Trump's businesses were financially failing, the Russians bailed him out.  His tax records show multi-million-dollar real estate transactions via Russians.  His sons have bragged (www.vanityfair.com, www.businessinsider.com) about receiving $100 million from Russian banks - which are all controlled by Russian Intelligence (KGB/FSB). Trump was treated as royalty in Russia, which is just another KGB-method of entrapment. Naïve and stupid, Trump was targeted to be a Russian asset and when he won the Presidency in 2016, the Russian DUMA exploded in applause.

According to Graham, if Trump is elected, Americans will see a series of potential destructive events: NATO may dissolve resulting in the loss of century-old European allies as they move to protect themselves, Ukraine will succumb to Russia and loose it’s sovereign freedoms, China may attack Taiwan knowing the U.S. will not come to the aid of this island nation, and the fate of many former Soviet satellites and many NATO nations may again fall into Russia’s control. If Trump follow’s Putin leadership, U.S. citizens may lose our right to vote, banking and financial institutions will be first to change ownership under the Trump government, and the DOJ will be ordered to prosecute those opposed to Trump resulting in the U.S. prison system swelling with political prisoners. Those who committed serious crimes: Manafort, Stone, Weisselberg, Navarro, and others will now be running our government.

More information is available at her website at https://democrazy2020.org/. She has a new book to be published in 2025 called The Cold War Myth.

Elizabeth Graham can be contacted by email at graham1elizabeth@aol.com and is available for interviews. From Democracy to Democrazy is available in ebook, softcover and hardcover at Amazon.

About Elizabeth Graham:

Elizabeth Graham lives in a quiet rural city in northern Arizona. She had 4 children and has 3 grandchildren. Her oldest daughter died July 16, 2016, when she was in Japan. The Tokyo Police ruled her death a homicide, possibly by poison, which is the signature lethal method used by Russians. (Read The KGB’s  Poison Factory, From Lenin to Litvinenko, by Boris Volodarsky) There is more about her death in From Democracy to Democrazy.

Elizabeth was indoctrinated at a young age by her father who was a senior manager working undercover with the CIA. Her college days were in Los Angeles with the desire to become a high school teacher. However, she was destined to study Russia, Russian language, and live a life of Top- Secret clearances and undercover work. This led to senior nonprofit management positions and consulting jobs in strategic places like Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia, all of the former Soviet countries (15 countries including the Baltics, Central Asia, and Ukraine), Pakistan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Bosnia, Peru, Brazil, and many other locations. In this process of living and working abroad, she became bi-cultural (American to Russian and back).

Bullying As A Social Norm Is Addressed By Bestselling Magical Realism Author Jody Sharpe

As a former teacher of special needs children, Sharpe has direct experience regarding the effect bullying has on children. Her award-winning, bestselling books help readers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

Unfortunately there are forms of bullying that often go unnoticed, flying beneath the radar, yet have profound and lasting impacts. One such covert form of bullying is the targeting of legal immigrants. This behavior is becoming normalized in our society, and it's possible that, without realizing it, some of us are inadvertently passing these harmful attitudes on to our children, as they watch what we do and then copy it.

Bestselling author Jody Sharpe believes we should take a moment to recognize and challenge this form of bullying, ensuring a more inclusive and respectful environment for all. She recently addressed this issue in a piece on her site titled, "Bullying Legal Immigrants Is The Opposite Of Kindness". In that post she said in part:

In the news, the political bullies are spreading falsehoods about legal immigrants. All of us, unless we are of Native American descent, come from people who made many sacrifices to get to our democracy in the United States of America.

Bullying everywhere across the world should stop. I remember when my late daughter, Kate, as a six- year- old, brought home a friend from school. I spoke to the mother on the phone and Kate never mentioned the girl had a different skin color or was from a different country. Children are born with goodness in their hearts. However, many adults in our beautiful world are teaching bullying by their words and actions. How unfortunate to lie to our children about people from other ethnicities or countries.

The full text of the piece is available at http://jodysharpe.com/tuesdays-with-the-angels-bullying-legal-immigrants-is-the-opposite-of-kindness/.

Sharpe recently received an honorable mention in the 2024 National Federation of Press Women's Professional Communication contest at the national level for one of her novels, ‘Summer of Angels’. This is the fourth NFPW win for her. In 2023, ‘20 Moon Road, An Angel’s Tale’ took First Place nationally in the novella category. ‘Town Of Angels Christmas’ placed At Large, as did ‘Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder’.

She was also featured in the September issue of 'Great Writers You Should Be Reading Magazine.'

Books by Jody Sharpe include:

To Catch an Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch an Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch an Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California, and only two people know it. First, there’s Hannah, a tender curly-headed half-angel. Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe, but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he's written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Town Of Angels - Angel vs. Bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well-kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children, all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as brute, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give in to the bully's efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angel sightings, angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer, and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match through the soft voices and intuitive minds of his neighbors.

Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women's At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It's a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life's journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life."

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

Special Needs Children followed her recently released children's book about angels, When The Angel Sent Butterflies. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear, and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

One of her latest books, Summer Of Angels, is a mystery novel. Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force proves a force to be reckoned with as she moves back to her beloved Mystic Bay, California. While sleeping, an angel sent her a vision in a dream of a future event. Gayle realizes she must use her intuition to save an old man from drowning. But who is this old man?

With the help of intuitive attorney, Alex Knight, she finds they are caught in the middle of a future crime. But can Gayle and Alex solve the case and save the old man before it’s too late? With surprising twists and turns of intrigue and love, Gayle and Alex find there are angels at the helm as they help prove the bully never wins.

'The Dog Who Came For Christmas' again features meteorologist and psychic Gayle Force Knight, who proves to be a force to be reckoned with once more. While Gayle was sleeping, an angel sent her a vision of a future event. With her intuition, Gayle wonders, will she really meet the dog in her dream and save another one?

With the help of her intuitive husband, Alex Knight, and friends, Gayle sets on a course to rescue many more. But with surprising twists and turns of intrigue, both Gayle and Alex find there are always angels at the helm as they ride on their coattails.

In addition, on the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real-life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters, and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Bestselling Author Eric Madeen Announces No Charge Download Of Contemporary Romance Ebook, Water Drumming In The Soul

Water Drumming In The Soul has been called a "modern day classic" that redefines traditional narratives.

Bestselling author Eric Madeen has announced that his highly praised contemporary romance novel, 'Water Drumming In The Soul', will be available at no charge in ebook format October 24 through October 26, 2024 at Amazon.

In this fiery tale set in steamy equatorial Africa, Peace Corps volunteer David Fields is on mission: to build a medical dispensary in a village where spells are cast on enemies and fear of a geek-shaman reigns. David seldom has his bearings – cultural or geographical – and must fight a cocktail of tropical maladies as well as social taboos as he throws himself into work. Until... he meets Assam. Captivated by her water drumming, her playing the stream as a drum, David is drawn to her early on and becomes the hunter captured by the game. And what a rollicking game of love it is - with a tension or excitement between them that never dissipates, … until the haunting end.

"The beginning pops like a string of firecrackers and from there the energy escalates, drawing in both the average to the more literary reader,” Madeen stated. “Moreover, there's much to stir around in 'Water Drumming in the Soul: A Novel of Racy Love in the Heart of Africa', as it's layered with a deceptively simple surface atop depths of emotion. As Part II takes off, jumper cable sparks fly off of the prose as much of it is told from Assam's third-person limited point of view, as in limited to her consciousness as praised by readers worldwide.  The tug on emotional hamstrings in the multiplication of what happens in the end and why resonates with the truism of Nabokov of Lolita fame: ‘The best art is not simple and sincere but deceitful and complex.’ Here I add, Think of the Mona Lisa's smile.  And when you finish the novel, you'll be left with your soul strummed elegiacally in a deep down knowing as to why this story had to be told."

Readers and reviewer have expressed high praise for 'Water Drumming In The Soul'. Zaheer Baber; Professor of Sociology; University of Toronto said, "Madeen's storytelling prowess shines through and resonates with authenticity. The characters, particularly Assam, are beautifully developed, challenging traditional stereotypes as in presenting a more nuanced and genuine portrayal of African culture.”

Elizabeth Montano, author of The Eternal Dawn Trilogy, called the book " a novel so beautifully and realistically written I found it on par with works by whom we consider masters … Hemingway definitely comes to mind."

One Amazon reader said, "Water Drumming in the Soul not only tells a passionate love story, but it also delves into thought-provoking themes like culture, identity, and the power of human connection. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that'll have you laughing, crying, and everything in between. This isn't your typical love story! This novel is well-written and full of unexpected twists that keep you flipping those pages. Plus, the characters are so well-developed that you'll feel like you've known them forever. So, if you're ready for a wild and adventurous ride, grab a copy of this modern-day classic ASAP!"

The ebook version of 'Water Drumming In The Soul' will be available for download at no charge October 24 through October 26 at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Eric-Madeen/author/B08VGRNJVW?.

Eric Madeen writes cross-genre, and is the author of a number of books:

Tokyo-ing! - This is an apt word for this trio of tales chiming with anyone even slightly interested in Asia’s most dynamic metropolis and its glazing of layers – be they cultural or taking-wing exuberant. Madeen does deep dives in three fascinating directions and voices, including the persona in first-person female. Then doesn’t let readers come up for air because they don’t want to -- until the delicious end.

Tennis Clubbed, Snubbed and Rubbity-Dub Dubbed - In historically rich Yokohama, where Captain Perry and his Black Ships cracked open Japan, the wicked shiver of the tennis snub in the postmodern present pits David Adams against K: a puffed-up xenophobic tyrant who rules over the courts of a club that has as its anthem, ironically, the promotion of international friendship.

Asian Trail Mix - An Amazon bestseller, this smorgasbord of travel essays scales down the sprawl of Asia by focusing on the unique and revelatory in sharp, crisp prose. See up close and personal the razzmatazz of novice monks at play in northern Laos, the hustle of pedicab drivers in Ho Chi Minh City, rainforests blazed on gutsy treks across Borneo and Thailand's Elephant Island. Served up nice and spicy, it’s a travelogue at its most sumptuous.

Eric Madeen is available for media interviews and can be reached at ericsan@gol.com. All of his books are available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Eric-Madeen/author/B08VGRNJVW?. More information is available at his website at https://ericmadeen.com/.
