Meacham believes that the United States of America is a nation that lives and dies by the dollar and ignores the Word of God
This is a message from Jesus Christ to Pentecostal Churches. “I am the one who has the sharp two-edged sword. I know where you live, there in those cities where Satan has spread his reign. You are true to me, but I have these things against you. There are some among you who follow the teachings of those prosperity preachers who have thought My Followers to live for themselves and not for Me. You have not shown the courage to stand against these false teachers and now I command you to turn from your sins and take up My two-edged sword and fight against those people that lead My Followers astray.”
“To those who win the victory I will give some of the bread of My body and I will also give each of them a white stone with their new heavenly name known only to those who receive it. I challenge you to shed your sin soiled clothes, to put on My White Linens, to join the Armies of Heaven, and to help me restore My Church. If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.”
The Prosperity Gospel traces its roots to EW Kenyon and the Word of Faith movement. Contrary to the traditional view of Jesus as a poor, wandering teacher, the prosperity theology followed by the Word of Faith movement believes that Jesus and His Apostles were financially wealthy, owning homes, and having monetary resources and businesses. Under the truest doctrine of the Prosperity Gospel, they believe that if someone is not experiencing prosperity it is because they have given control of their life to Satan. Following Kenyon, Kenneth Hagin took up the mantel of prosperity theology and taught that “material prosperity was a redemptive blessing.” Some of the more prominent disciples of Hagin and the Prosperity Gospel include Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn, and Joel Osteen. In his later years, Hagin turned against the Prosperity Gospel and warned Christ’s followers about the darkness of greed.
In receiving this message from Jesus Christ,Meacham was surprised when He used the word “command.” For in this message, Christ is stepping out in front of the Armies of Heaven and commanding the Pentecostal Churches, as well as all other Christian Churches, to go to battle against the thousands of Prosperity Preachers who fill the pulpits of His Churches. In His original letter to the church at Pergamum, Christ said that He would battle against them. Now, He has commanded His Followers to wield His two-edged sword and fight against the Prosperity Preachers and the dark forces of greed. In the United States, greed is essential to the American Dream and our capitalistic society and, in my opinion, Christians in the US will not follow Christ’s Command. For we are a nation that lives and dies by the dollar with a long history of following the path of greed, even to our destruction, and of ignoring the faithful and true Word of God.
Jesus Christ is now calling Christians everywhere to experience Spiritual Birth, to store up Heavenly Riches, to live a Divine Spiritual Life, to join the Armies of Heaven, to fight for Church Reform, and to prepare the church for His Second Coming.
