The Tick Borne Disease Association Gala will be held at Pier 60, Chelsea's Pier in New York City on May 1, 2014
Katina Makris, author of the award winning book about Lyme Disease, 'Out Of The Woods: Healing Lyme Disease' will broadcast live at the Tick Borne Disease Alliance Gala to be held on May 1, 2014 at Pier 60, Chelsea's Pier in New York City.
As the Tick Borne Disease Associations Mission Statement states: "Dynamic, inclusive and passionate, the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance (TBDA) is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting initiatives and promoting advocacy to find a cure for tick-borne diseases, including Lyme."
"Mindful of the urgency of this escalating public health crisis, Turn the Corner Foundation, co-founded by Staci Grodin, and the Tick-Borne Disease Initiative, founded by David Roth, decided to consolidate their efforts in the fight for a cure. In early 2012, they joined forces to form a new, national organization: TBDA."
In addition to penning an award winning book about Lyme Disease, Katina Makris also hosts the first radio show of it's kind, ‘Lyme Light Radio with Katina'.
