McLaughlin's book about his NDE details his totally unique near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no preaching and no hidden agenda
A recent article on the Today website, part of a two part series done by Natalie Morales, was titled "Do you believe? Near-death experience survivor recalls 'amazing' encounter." One of the people featured in the article stated, "The loss of fear of death is so amazing." In that single sentence, she hit upon the central thought that can instantly transform one's life.
It is empowering when we at last come to the realization that, at the very core of all our problems, troubles, anxieties and difficulties, lies some form of fear. Overcoming any problem or challenge begins by dealing with the particular form of fear inherent in that challenge. Once that is out of the way, the rest is not so difficult. But death? The fear of death is the greatest of all fears. Death is the big one, as we cannot avoid it, sidestep it or control it in any way. Death however is not the real problem. Fear of death is the real problem. If we could overcome the fear of death our lives WOULD be amazing. How would our perspective change if we knew, beyond doubt, that we would not come to an end? Can we believe that and embrace it?
Brian McLaughlin, author of 'Flight Without Wings, My Experience With Heaven', knows we can. Teaching others how to overcome fear of the dark or the fear of heights is one thing. Brian takes this to a whole new level by showing us that the fear of death itself unwarranted. Achieving that state is both awe inspiring and life changing. That is precisely what he can do for anyone willing to listen.
Recently McLaughlin stated “ Your fears may be the single most debilitating aspect of your life.
The fear of death might be the most thought about. There are many aspects of this fear... like sub-headings I suppose. Fear of death could include the fear of the unknown, fear of loss, fear of pain, fear of not going to Heaven ! After my experience, and presentation of my book “A Flight Without Wings”, I can state with certainty and confidence that I no longer fear death. The fears listed above were satisfied. Fear of the unknown... I now know where I will be going, the fear of loss, pain, etc., have all been revealed to me so I can cross them off as well.
I realize that for me it’s easier because I’ve been there. I suspect that many people balance themselves on the thin line of really believing and having doubts. My hope is that by sharing my experience will help them lean towards really believing. I do so without any dogma or requisites, so most people can use my experience to support their own position. This knowledge for me has changed my whole outlook on living. It can for you as well. For those of you who have some measure of faith, I think that in sharing my event with you, I will bolster your belief system. Those of you who feel they have no faith at all, my hope would be that my words will stimulate your mind to just consider the possibilities.”
A Flight Without Wings' offers readers a look at the near death experience from an unbiased point of view. It is the presentation of the material that sets this book apart from the other books about the near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment and no hidden agenda. While his book has a spiritual flavor certainly, there is no preaching and no religious messages. It is his near-death experience, just as it happened.
McLaughlin's experience changed the course of his life forever. It instilled in him what we all seek - certainty about life after death. And with that a peace of mind that can never be shaken, nor can it be doubted. His near death experience brought a sense of clarity. It brought a sense of real, lasting peace. He now knows with certainty that we exist forever. It is that simple message he brings to his audience, both through his book and at his speaking engagements and in his media appearances.

Reviews of 'A Flight Without Wings' have been overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Penny Sartori, author of 'The Wisdom of Near-Death Experiences', said "This book will help others who have had an NDE to make sense of their experience and will also help those close to someone who has had an NDE because NDEs affect close family members and friends too."
Jack Magnus, a reviewer with Readers Favorite, called the book a "well written and moving memoir that neither delves into the fanciful or dogmatic,...” "…Well worth reading, and is highly recommended." Another stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these, but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."
Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal . . . such profound perspective.”
