All of us experience death. It might be the death of a spouse, the death of a family member, the death of a child or a close friend. It is the most devastating experience any human must endure. Not surprisingly, many of us believe in an afterlife or, at the very least, hope there is an afterlife. But where is the proof?
Finding proof of the afterlife is no easy task. This is because many people believe that proof of existence of something must be scientific proof. When science cannot prove the existence of something, including the afterlife, many people take the easy path and simply discount the idea entirely. The more rational seeker understands that not everything that exists can be proven scientifically - awareness, the presence of thought, etc. It is not that these things do not exist; it is instead that they do not fall under the umbrella of science.
CARE Certified Medium and author Pat Chalfant knows, beyond any shadow of doubt, that the afterlife exists. For Pat and many of her students and clients, the proof lies in the psychic experiences they have shared.
"In one situation a woman called for a reading and I was able to reassure her that her daughter was still living but wanted her to know that she had inadvertently killed herself," Pat stated. "All the while I was in contact with the daughter, I was in tears—reflecting her tears. Another wrote me asking if I could get her in touch with the person that she had gone to radio and TV shows hoping the famous mediums who worked on those shows would connect her with again, only to be overlooked after paying hundreds of dollars to attend these events. As I read the e-mail she had written me, I saw three images, one after another, and I immediately wrote back to her describing these to her. She replied just as quickly saying I had hit the nail on the head and said she would be forever grateful for my proving adequately to her that he still existed."
Pat's inspirational book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how Pat, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.
She has written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper. Other topics she’s taught and written about are: past life therapy, death and dying, the Edgar Cayce work, the Cathars, and Spiritual healing.
The Association for Past Life Research and Therapies newsletter published a series of her interviews with psychiatrists, psychologists, and hypnotherapists who were all west coast pioneers of past life therapy. She also teaches internationally online and intermittently hosts an online Spiritualist circle, Spirit Lights Chapel.
Pat offers one-on-one client readings arranged via email, and offers classes in mediumship. She hosts a Youtube channel that offers information on mediumship. All are now available at her site.
