Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
In the latest installment of 'Tuesdays With The Angels', Jody Sharpe, author of ‘The Angel's Daughter’ and 'To Catch An Angel', presented several stories about the unique relationship children have with angels, and how some of those children have impacted her life.
"Over the years teaching children with special needs I found myself in awe of their wholesomeness," Sharpe stated. "The first student that touched my heart was named Heather. Her middle name was Angel. I worked in a community center in a day long program for these children. Heather was a fun and lively nine year old with a heart of gold. My first student with Down’s Syndrome, she paved the way for me to grow to love them all. I was so new and knew very little about children with disabilities but had wanted to teach these children since high school where I volunteered with girls with special needs who came to our school to learn to swim. Teaching Heather was a joy and her parents were the nicest people who encouraged their children with hope and boundless love . . ."
"Heather made such an impact in my life that in my novels 'The Angel’s Daughter' and 'To Catch an Angel', a few female characters have Angel as their middle name. Heather is the name of a child adopted in 'To Catch an Angel'. I always will be grateful to all my students and Heather, the first student who stole my heart."
"Many children have had angel experiences. In my novel 'To Catch an Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay as three children have angel encounters. These events bring the whole town together to share in the joy of the angel sightings. The effect of love from the angel sightings goes all around the world."

Angels and stories about angelic beings have been with us since Biblical times. While some people believe angels are real and do exist, others dismiss the possibility. There is tremendous interest in the subject. A Google search lists hundreds of millions of results. A number of videos on Youtube claim to have caught angels in action - on film.
Jody Sharpe knows angels exist. Her first book, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, was written in memory of her daughter Kate. Her second book, 'To Catch An Angel', was written in memory of her husband Steve.
Over a decade ago, when her daughter died tragically Sharpe faced down the most difficult challenge of her life. She was determined not to just merely survive, but to live; to honor the life of her beloved daughter, her twins, her husband and the rest of the rich life she had created before the tragedy. Blessed with an inherently positive outlook these trying times were strengthened by influences from the late Norman Vincent Peale to the children's book character, Wilbur the pig. For Sharpe, ministers of spirit and guidance took the form of angels. Sharpe's openness to change led her to write her first novel, 'The Angel's Daughter'. The story that takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, California and encompasses all Sharpe's attitudes about goodness, healing and moving on.
Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.
