Kass Ghayouri's writing evokes change through empowerment. Through dramatic imagery she creates visual slides, which connect readers to memorable plots
Award winning author Kass Ghayouri has been named the Grand Prize winner in the 2018 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards. She was chosen by public vote from a field of hundreds of authors. Her win was based on her book of poetry, 'Universe Poetry And Illustration'.
In Ghayouri's opinion, poetry is a mirror to the soul. It personifies dramatic expression. It is the liberty of self-expression. Poems are spiritual, mystical and mysterious in essence. It embeds itself in one’s mind and touches the heart. Ghayouri is able to generate imagery and visual symbolism in her poems. The representation of visual ideas in her mind blossoms into words. Her mental pictures also gives birth to physical pictures. Her poetry has rhythm, which with music can be translated into songs. Each poem paints a vivid picture with a thousand words.
"The reader is able to gain insight into social, psychological, spiritual and philosophical problems," Ghayouri stated. "I strive to provide advice for those who seek answers to emotional problems, in the form of poetry. My writing provides positive reinforcement, as I extrinsically motivate my readers to deal with their dilemmas in life."
A recent review of 'Universe Poetry And Illustration' stated, "Superbly written and remarkably illustrated. This book gripped me on the first page. The writing is powerful and moving. Simply great. A definite must have."
