Terry's book, 'What Did Jesus Say? The Seven Messages from the Master' contains over 500 Bible verses spoken directly by Jesus as recorded in the red-letter edition of the New King James Bible, organized by subject, without added interpretations, commentaries or opinions.
Question: Are the one billion Catholics really Christians or is it just the Baptists or only the Pentecostals or is it the Lutherans, Methodists, JW’s, SDA’s, CoG, CoC, or is it one of the other independent personality driven churches, that make up over 30,000 different Christian religions worldwide?
Terry Christian, author of 'What Did Jesus Say?' offers some penetrating insight in a new video available at his website. He recently had this to say:
"In my 45 yrs of walking with Jesus based on his teachings, I’m amazed at how many religious leaders (I’ve seen) personally fail teaching from the whole Bible instead of what Jesus said. I was stunned to learn how many different Christian Religions directly attack one another as being evil, doing Satan's work and sending their people to hell, especially the attacks from those against the RCC who gave them their first Bible in the 3rd Century.
"Research shows in the 3rd century a new Christian religion was formed, and they made Sunday a legal worship day while outlawing Saturday Sabbath and added Christmas and Easter to please the pagans. That's the inside story when researched ‘outside’ of religious academia. Real history tells a different story of the Roman Catholic Church as well as the big split in 1600 AD. And now we have over 30,000 different Christian religions all fighting one another in one way or another for a larger share of the audience. Martin Luther was a troubled man in his walk with Jesus and he found solace in Paul’s words, as many do, however it causes many to threaten and attack whoever disagrees with them just like Paul does in his own epistles. This is totally opposite of what Jesus taught.
"Many Christians have never read all 4 Gospels or Revelation to know what Jesus said, they’ve only followed what they’ve been told. Rarely does a Christian research their own religion or focus on what Jesus said because they’ve been told the Bible is all Jesus; yet his words are now printed in red to stand out above all others. Very few Christians know the 4 Gospels and Revelation were written ‘after Peter and Paul’ died as a way of uniting us all in his words, and not just what others remembered Jesus said.
"While composing my book 'What Did Jesus Say : The Seven Messages from the Master', I discovered the great divisions in Christianity were caused by the ‘many’ different religious opinions about Jesus and how differently the same Bible was taught among different Christian Groups. In the end, I was finally able to reconcile it all with what Jesus said to his Disciples in Matthew 28:19-20- to teach everyone what he taught them.
"If you’re a Christian, I encourage you to find out what Jesus said to those who loved and followed him and separate it from what Jesus said to the Jewish Leaders who fought against him. Then read the first half of Book of Acts and you’ll see Peter did what Jesus told him and the church called the Way was launched. The rest is history worth researching outside of ‘religious schools’ designed to protect their legacy over the truth.
