Snyder's book has received 29 industry awards. His father, pilot of the 'Susan Ruth', was shot down over Europe during WWII. 'Shot Down' is a dramatic retelling of the stories surrounding that event. The book was recently placed on the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Recommended Book List.
Steve Snyder, award winning author of 'Shot Down', a military aviation book that has taken 29 industry awards, has announced a new Indie Film award and his event lineup for March, 2020.
Snyder's father Howard was a B-17 pilot who was shot down while flying the Susan Ruth (named after his daughter) while flying over the French/Belgium border. The mission set out to bomb Frankfurt, Germany. The book covers the events leading up to and following that day. Of the 10 man crew, some died, some were captured and some, including Howard Snyder, evaded capture.
Snyder's documentary short film, based on his book, received the Award of Merit at the IndieFEST Film Awards in La Jolla CA. The new film is a stunning presentation of the life of Snyder's father, filmed on location in Europe. One of the high points of the film occurs when Snyder manages to track down Hans Berger, the German pilot who shot down his father's plane. In the ensuing conversation, Snyder and Berger develop a close personal relationship that transcends the events that occurred so many decades ago.
Steve Snyder's event schedule for March 2020 includes:
March 15 - Interview on 500 Section Lounge
March 16 - Interview on The Conversation With Stu with Stu Ackerman
March 19 - PowerPoint Presentation at the Sedona Oak Creek Canyon Lions Club in Sedona, Arizona
March 25 - Interview on Frontlines of Freedom/Military Talk Radio with Denny Gillem
March 28 – Book Signing and PowerPoint presentation at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa, Arizona
March 28 - The SHOT DOWN documentary short film showing at the Garden State Film Festival in Ashbury Park, New Jersey
Snyder's book is utterly unique in that it details the varied, detailed, and amazing stories of what happened to each crew member. Snyder's father, Howard, was missing in action for seven months. Readers are given the opportunity to read the letters and documents that were exchanged before and after the Susan Ruth was shot down. 'Shot Down' is filled with photos that enhance the presentation of these extraordinary WW II events that must never be forgotten. Steve Snyder has gone to the extreme to capture the details that make 'Shot Down' a one-of-a-kind dramatic presentation, told by a writer who was in the very middle of the story as it happened.
'Shot Down' has received numerous high profile industry awards. These include:

New Script Now Available, Adapted From 'Leena - An Abused, Bruised And Bloodied Woman' By Author Sid Nachman
Leena is an unforgettable story of abuse and healing. Sid Nachman has been called "one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." His latest work offers hope for women who have suffered abuse through a heart-wrenching story based on real life events.
Sid Nachman has announced the release of 'Raw', a 3 act play script adapted from his latest book, 'Leena: An Abused, Bruised And Bloodied Woman'. The new release tells the story of unspeakable abuse and healing, from early childhood into adult life. But Leena managed to overcome her experience, transforming a miserable past into a future filled with promise and hope. Sid Nachman recounts her inspiring tale with a dose of acerbic wit that shines through on every page. The end result is a book that is both wildly entertaining and incredibly revealing.
Suitable for plays for over-18 theatre of any type, from large venues to college and community threatres, the stage play is a dramatic adaptation of 'Leena' presented in 3 acts. The script is available at no charge at http://www.payhip.com/sidnachman.
“Leena proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you and I can make our impossible dreams come true," Nachman stated. "All we need is determination, an unquenchable belief in ourselves and a little help from God.”
Sid Nachman is also the author of 'Bipolar Me'. 'Bipolar Me' provides a penetrating glimpse into the day-to-day experience of a man who dealt with a condition for which there was no name at the time - a time when such chemical imbalances might be diagnosed as a form of schizophrenia and could be treated with electric shock treatment or end up with the sufferer being locked away.
'Bipolar Me' has garnered high praise from readers and reviewers alike. Sid's no-holds-barred writing style produces a work that is filled with hilarious stories that show us that life is just plain good. BookLover USA said that the book is "A roller coaster ride through the mind of one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." It is a highly entertaining memoir that allows readers a glimpse into the unfettered mind of a bipolar boy who never grows up until his hair turns white. Readers will get to see his world in black and white and vivid color and will feel what he feels when he feels like he weighs three thousand pounds and a minute later can leap over tall buildings. Sid's life is a life gone wild that settles down when it’s almost too late.
'Bipolar Me' would bring me great joy if it can convince one person to never give up on themselves and try everyday with all the strength in their body to be a better human being."
Sid's first novel, 'Strictly For Seniors' is a nonfiction work of short stories about what happened to Sid "after breakfast on Delancey Street" in West Philly during the 30’s and 40’s when his Mom gave him a big hug and kiss and sent him on his way. Sid had great fun, survived bullying by hitting the bigger boys about the head with his violin case and developed his own singular brand of “street smarts".
"I wrote 'Strictly for Seniors' to show the readers a world they should never forget and to let them know unequivocally that older people like me can still teach them a thing or two."
Nachman's books have received fantastic reviews. One stated, "Like James Joyce, Sid Nachman can take the ordinary and turn it into magic with a fluency that's imperceptible." Another said "Sid's stories touch the human soul with wit, charm and realism."
Sid Nachman is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at mollymax210@gmail.com. All books are available at Amazon. More information, including samples from the books and recent interviews with The Authors Show, is available at his website at http://www.sidnachman.com.

Effective Leaders Keep Important Things From Becoming Urgent By Tightening The Lug Nuts Says Top Motivational Keynote Speaker Rocky Romanella
An inspirational keynote speaker and trainer, Romanella is founder and principal of 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. He has over 40 years of leadership at Fortune 100's. His approach to leadership can be a game changer for anyone who serves in a leadership role.
Top motivational keynote speaker Rocky Romanella's book on leadership, 'Tighten The Lug Nuts - The Principles of Balanced Leadership', is loaded from cover to cover with practical information that can help leaders become more effective, more productive and more successful. It is not just another "business leadership book." The deceptively simple concepts Romanella presents can be utilized by anyone who holds a leadership position - parents, educators and others.
One of the most important principles in the book is to prevent important things from becoming urgent. If we ignore something as important as a loose lug nut, our ongoing neglect may become a matter of survival. Hence the need to "tighten the lug nuts." But how do we begin to do this at the organizational level?
The answer can be found in the five key strategies of the Balanced Leadership model itself:
1. Creating a communication strategy that helps employees become “aware of the big picture”. This strategy will include the tactical approach and method of developing an environment that creates an excitement for information on the direction of the organization.
2. The “art of engagement” which begins with building relationships that allow employees to develop and grow no matter their role in the organization. These relationships will enable leadership to hear the BAD news before an issue becomes a major problem.
3. Having an organization of employees that “act like owners” who are obsessed with the growth and well-being of the organization. It starts with examining commitment from an individual perspective and then leads to the development of work teams that leverages synergies from “one-to-many” in an organization.
4. The ability of sticking with it is always a challenge in any attempt to shift a culture, or to change a process. The focus on “change sustainability” will map out the strategy that introduces the concept of champions taking ownership on specific parts of the plan.
5. Reflection - focusing in on how to stop, pause and move forward. This includes keeping what is working and continuing to redefine what “Being Obsessed with the Front-line” truly means.
Few business books offer new, innovative approaches to leading companies to success. Fewer still speak clearly to the key points necessary to become an effective leader. Only a miniscule number of books could be called a "game changer". Whether you are a seasoned leader or are taking the first steps to becoming an effective leader, this is one of those books you will refer to over and over again. More information about the book is available at https://www.TightenTheLugNuts.com.

Books For Book Clubs: Helping Yourself Grow Old Offers An Intimate, Personal Perspective On Aging For Retirees, People with Aging Parents, The Elderly, Counselors, And For Those Approaching Retirement
Multi-award winning author Frances Fuller offers a unique outlook on aging based on her own experience. Sharing her personal difficulties, memories and values, she reveals also the decisions she has made about how to live the final stage of her life. Because the format and subject matter are highly appropriate for groups to read together, discussion questions centered on the content of the book are available for book clubs and other discussion groups.
There are many good books on aging available, many of them written from an academic point of view. Most are penned by sociologists, doctors, gerontologists, even the CEO of AARP, and one by a Catholic nun, Joan Chittister. Chittister's book, 'The Gift of Years' is beautifully written, focusing on spiritual values and finding meaning in life. Chittister admits in the preface that she was only 70, which is the front edge of aging, and her book is somewhat abstract.
Atul Gawande’s book, 'On Being Mortal', relates medicine and old age, It enjoys high Amazon rankings, in the category of “the sociology of aging.” It contains a great deal of valuable scientific information and shows understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.
Frances Fuller’s book, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.
Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, engaging — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.
The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”
For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:
Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)
and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.
Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."
Frances Fuller’s prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards. Frances was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. Her book received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.
Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”
Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. Fuller's books are available at Amazon and other book retailers.

Frances Fuller’s prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards. Frances was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. School Shootings, Lockdowns, Body Shaming, Bullying: Award Winning Selfie Filmmaker, Positive Psychologist, Podcaster Barbara Becker Holstein Helps Teen Girls Overcome Anxiety, Alienation Through Selfie Films
Dr. Holstein is a Positive Psychologist/filmmaker and originator of a unique Selfie Film concept. She is accepting Selfie Films submissions from the public for the "Selfie Showcase".
Award winning author, selfie filmmaker and positive psychologist Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein's award winning Selfie films have participated in over 80 film festivals and competitions. Her ongoing podcast series has featured both notable influencers, educators and teens who make a difference in the world, covering issues like school shootings, lockdowns, body shaming, bullying and climate change. She is the founder of The Selfie project and the Selfie Showcase.
Dr. Holstein recently created The Selfie Showcase, a new project emerging from The Selfie Project, that allows young people to voice their opinions on subjects that matter to young people. She is now accepting submissions from the public for the "Selfie Showcase" and is actively seeking change-makers and mental health professionals to appear on her monthly video podcast.
The Selfie Showcase allows kids, teens, and young adults ages 13 to 18 to candidly express their concerns, worries, observations and possible solutions by creating selfies or selfie films around important subjects, using a smart phone. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal entitled "The Lonely Burden of Today's Teenage Girls" presented some startling information regarding how social media pressures are causing kids to be more anxious, depressed and solitary. Dr. Holstein's mission is to help rectify, in a number of ways, some of the issues young people face by giving them a chance to engage with others in meaningful ways about the anxiety and stress they must grapple with constantly.
Selected participants may appear on the Selfie Project Channel, available on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3uaOTcYF70z5CpBh11VoUQ. They will also appear in the Selfie Showcase on SelfieFilmmakers.com. They will receive a certificate of merit, and may be invited to be on Holstein's monthly podcast or perhaps be a part of her next film. Full details, rules for submission and helpful hints can be accessed at the Selfie Filmmakers site at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com/instructions.
"Time and tide wait for no man (or woman or child,” Dr Holstein stated. “However, when we realize that happiness is as close as our next step into life we can do and be amazing people at any age. My visionary work in positive psychology, 'The Enchanted Self' and 'The Selfie Project', are all about reclaiming our potential and living our dreams. 'The Enchanted Self' focuses on our talents, strengths and potential at any age. My pathfinder book: THE ENCHANTED SELF, A Positive Therapy' explains in great detail how to reclaim positive states of being again and again while developing a strong sense of self and living a life of purpose and meaning.
'The Selfie Project' focuses on two aspects of 'Selfies'. One is Selfie Films that inspire and teach resiliency and happiness through drama. I've been making these short Selfie Films for over 4 years now. They are amazing, having won over 80 awards in film festivals and competitions. They allow young actors to do much of their own filming with smart phones, while telling important coming of age stories that open the gates to amazing conversations and feelings about growing up. Several of these films are available to stream at: https://cinecosmos.vhx.tv/search?q=selfie+film."
"Secondly, My podcasts bring you real people who will inspire and influence you. Many of these people are kids, tweens or teen, similar to the kids who might be running around your neighborhood or go to your local school. What you may not realize is that most of my guests are visionaries. They may be the neighbor down the street you didn't realize has a great idea or a famous psychologist or filmmaker. They may be a police officer concerned about school shootings or a professor figuring out ways to save the climate. Kids, tweens and teens on my Podcast shows are also visionaries. They have a lot to say and share and often don't get a big enough chance to go on record. I love that 'The Selfie Project' allows them to not only talk about what is on their minds but to make selfies that further allow their creativity, dramatic abilities or their deep feelings and ideas to come out. Podcasts can be viewed at Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIMJ00jmjVO_ozLsJLgt7b5M6zqaWmQOk."

Biblical Prophecy, Verses About The End Of The World And The Antichrist Reveal A Striking Connection With Today’s Political Upheaval Says Joseph Ganci, Award Winning Author Of Gideon, The Sound And The Glory
In 'Gideon, The Sound, and the Glory,' Ganci combines Old Testament revelations with modern day revelations, action and adventure to provide audiences with a unique, emotionally charged experience.
For centuries we have been more than a little apprehensive about the prophecies set forth in the Christian Bible regarding the end of the world. Most require quite a stretch of logic and a health dose of creativity. Every now and then however, we are struck with how events actually seem to line up with those predictions.
Joseph Ganci is a serious researcher, a master storyteller and is the award winning author of 'Gideon, The Sound And The Glory'. He recently offered his views on how the current political situation might be interpreted in the light of scripture.
"Dan 7:8 - While I was gazing upon these horns, a new little horn sprouted up among them; three of the older horns were uprooted to make room for it. (Nixon, Reagan, Bush) There were eyes in this horn (the lust of the eyes) like those of a man, and a mouth that spoke arrogantly. (Trump)
"Nixon was crooked and helped to besmirch the office of presidency causing mistrust. Watergate was to help ensure reelection by gathering dirt on his political rival. Turns out after all he did not need it. It was just the lust to remain in power at all costs. And all the president's men went along with the crime as patriots.
"George Jr., the lie of weapons of nonexistent mass destruction and putting us into an unwinnable war where a vast amount of treasure was lost, almost bankrupting the country (Think, if Al Gore would have and should have been elected we would have been fighting climate change and not Saddam Hussein.)
"The staging of a heroic rescue of the nation by a black man, Jim crow's anger boiled over, setting the stage for the porn star monger, bone spur draft dodger, pathological liar, and so the father of lies. A six-time bankrupt poster child for narcissism and bully-ism. There is none so blind as those that refuse to see.
"Just think of it - Ronald Reagan was a professional actor with dementia, his handler Don Regan president of Merrill Lynch. Dutch also helped to dismantle manufacturing, making us a nation of consumers. The Gipper also gutted the labor unions turning the middle class into the poor working class and then insult to injury instituted trickle-down economy making greater the distance between the rich and the working poor. He opened up the insane asylums and gave the destitute and crazy park benches and sidewalks. The Iran contra scandal helped organize the routes that transported cocaine more efficiently into the United States.
"1 John 2:18 - Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
"Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
"Evangelical Christians see Trump as a 'Man Of God' Major evangelical leaders such as Franklin Graham and Jerry Falwell Jr. defend Trump and see him as an ally in the culture wars.
"2 Peter 3:10 - But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which, the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
"Stephen Hawking said that Earth could turn into a hothouse planet like Venus, with boiling oceans and acid rain, if humans don't curb irreversible climate change. 'We are close to the tipping point, where global warming becomes irreversible. Trump's action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees [Celsius], and raining sulfuric acid,' he told BBC News, referring to the president's decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate deal.
"Sympathy for the Devil is the theme song played at Trump Rallies. 'Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste'.
"Isaiah 9:19-20 - 19 Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
"20 And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm'.
"Contention insurrection and a call to civil war. Never satisfied with ever more power. The arms are the arms that wield the sword that protects the democracy. The free press, (fake news) the FBI, (they are scum), the Congress (a witch hunt), the Supreme Court and the Federal courts being packed with morally questionable political hacks. Taking the word of our sworn enemy and dismissing the pleadings of our own intelligence community. These are the arms that we are eating, the arms that would wield the sword for our own protections."
Ganci takes a ground-breaking and revelatory path in his quest to bring the awe-inspiring story of Gideon to life and ultimately to film. He believes that connecting facts are far more enchanting than loosely fitting fantasies. He works within a framework of an engaging and dramatized fiction that, while exceedingly rich in detail, remains faithful to uphold spiritual principles. He bases his work on three primary pillars:
* The rock-solid cornerstone is historical biblical geography.
* The creative arch is revelatory in its timing and issues.
* The research is concrete, firmly rooted in customs, languages, and traditions.
Ganci fills in the blanks with rock-solid research and prophetic revelations. It is a style that has allowed him to create breakthrough approaches that are exciting and breathtaking while remaining within the limits of believable biblical teachings.
Mysteries long hidden in ancient shadows now leap to life, blazing unto the pages of revelation. Details that link passages, peoples, and places are the most exciting part of the storytelling process. Details give possibilities a firm foundation as bones give form and strength to living flesh. Details long since lost or misunderstood, now ring true, giving texture, and breath, to long-forgotten gems of perception resurrected from ruins, dust, and ashes.
Ganci believes that Old Testament revelations are the Word of God. At the same time, that many needful details remained buried until the information age of discovery made them obvious and visible to the naked eye. These insights create a middle ground of understanding. As a dedicated and highly motivated researcher, he proposes there are many undiscovered nuggets of spiritual gold in the original manuscripts. He shines a new light on ancient texts and removes the black or white argument of the all-or-nothing question of modern-day revelations. He is adept at untangling the philosophical and theological human-made knots. And he gives us an opportunity to take a fresh look at what some consider to be foregone conclusions.
Readers of 'Gideon The Sound and the Glory' will learn about the Jewish Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, the mysterious Golden Ephod, how, and why, David found himself at his battle with Goliath, and much, much more. This work illuminates the dark corners of scripture while engaging readers in a gripping narrative.
Ganci is in the midst of completing his sequel novel 'David'. and his many adventures and conquests. David’s making of his vast Israeli empire. The shepherd boy king and the capture of his six wives. His torrid love affair with the insatiable Bathsheba, all but provoking a cover-up in a conspiracy to murder. The anointed king who risked it all for the love of a woman. It is done with a deft touch of Biblical erotica in keeping with Bathsheba’s sensual bath and the hot sleepless desert nights with a monarch that challenged her fiery passions.
Joseph Ganci was chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' in the 2017 Book Awards. 'Gideon: The Sound and the Glory' has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers alike. A recent reviewer stated, "Joseph Ganci’s prose is arresting, peppered with fantastic imagery and succinct descriptions of plot, characters, and setting. The themes are masterfully created, and they are woven into the story in a way that allows the reader to enjoy both the inspiration the story offers and the accompanying action. The book explores powerful spiritual and political themes, capturing the conflicts and the dynamics of life within the community of God's chosen people. Gideon: The Sound and the Glory will appeal to fans of political thrillers, adventure, and conflict-driven stories laced with intense action." Other reviewers have used phrases such as "riveting," "amazing" "deftly crafted" and "highly recommended."
Ganci has also announced he will make his book available as a fundraising tool for like-minded associations and charities. Donors can receive an eBook version of 'Gideon' in exchange for a donation to a worthy cause. For more details, contact Joseph via email.
Joseph Ganci is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at joseph@gideonsglory.com. 'Gideon: The Sound and the Glory' is available in both print, eBook, and a superb, ethnically correct audio narration, all from online retailers.

Black History Month Can Be A Joyful Celebration Of Shades Of Gray Says Award Winning Author Cheryl Williams
Williams took top honors in the Top Female Author awards program for her recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. She believes that life is not always black and white.
According to Wikipedia, "Black History Month was first proposed by black educators and the Black United Students at Kent State University in February 1969. The first celebration of Black History Month took place at Kent State one year later, from January 2, 1970 – February 28, 1970.
"Six years later, Black History Month was being celebrated all across the country in educational institutions, centers of Black culture and community centers, both great and small, when President Gerald Ford recognized Black History Month, during the celebration of the United States Bicentennial."
This year, Black History month is being celebrated during one of the most distressing, racially divided times in US history. While Black History month's purpose is to commemorate people of color, some believe that it is itself a form of racism, in that Black history is thus set apart from American history.
Award winning author Cheryl Williams believes that life isn't always black and white, but is instead comprised of many shades of gray. In her latest book, 'A Collection of Poems, A Journey Through Life', she presents this idea in a piece entitled "Shades of Gray":
Life isn't always black and white
Though some see it that way
Some eyes are blind and can't define
The many shades of gray
Each one unique in its own way
And it's designed for you
Be proud and never be afraid
To live your shade of gray
Familiar colors are embraced
While unfamiliar shunned
Accentuate your shade of gray
And live your life your way
A vision-impaired colored world
May minimize your worth
But never, ever change your way
Live your shade of gray
“As we celebrate Black history month, and every month of the year, may we all be reminded that unity can only be achieved when we embrace our differences, and respect the differences in others,” Williams stated. “When we see each other for who we truly are deep inside. There is so much more to every person than what meets the eye. When we are willing to accept one another for who and what we are, then the world will know peace, love and unity. May we be willing to live our shade of gray and respect the many who are truly living theirs.”
Cheryl has posted an online video commentary on the piece on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_J9ftsg04c.
More is available at Williams' website at https://cherylhot6.wixsite.com/cherylpwilliams.
Williams was named Top Female Author in the 2019 Top Female Author Awards in the poetry category. The win came as the result of her most recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. Williams was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors by a panel of judges.
Writing has helped Williams connect with her inner self, finding positive ways to cope with life's struggles. She has been writing and singing for as long as she can remember.
Throughout her childhood she sang in both the church and school choir, and also enjoyed singing at talent shows and music festivals. As an adult she also participated in concerts, performing as a solo artist.
Music and writing are the tools that bring her fulfillment and healing. Her book, 'A Collection Of Poems', takes us through the power of the human mind, good or bad, and its impact on one's direction and journey through life.
With the help of music, writing, and positive thinking, Williams found hope and purpose in life. Life isn't fair. It is unpredictable, bad things happen to good people, and we never know what tomorrow holds. Cheryl wants her readers to realize that even when faced with insurmountable, hopeless situations, even when life seems dark and uncertain, we should never let go of hope and appreciate the beauty and blessings that life has to offer, making the most of every day, loving, living, laughing, and learning. Seasons change, and there is always a rainbow after the storms of life.

About Cheryl Williams:
Cheryl Williams is a wife, mother, author, and nurse by profession, with a passion for the Arts.
Her love for poetry started at the tender age of five when she recited the poem "Grandfather Frog” for a school function. Six years later, her world was turned upside down after her mother suffered a massive stroke. During those uncertain times, music, writing, and poetry helped her cope.
As a teenager, whenever she wasn’t caring for her mother, Cheryl spent her free time writing and directing short plays as a form of entertainment for the children in her neighborhood.
She enjoyed singing in the church and school choir, while also performing publicly as a soloist in concerts and talent shows. As a result of her mother’s illness and her responsibility to help care for her, Cheryl was inspired to pursue nursing as a way to help others heal; the same way writing and music helped her find a path to healing. She resides in New York.

In The Tradition Of Brokaw's The Greatest Generation, Award Winning Author Bernard Fleury Presents Another American Hero In His New Biography, A Bee In His Bonnet
Fleury's book presents the story of Frank King, the man who captured the Bin Laden of his day. The book can serve as a valuable resource for collectors of WWI memorabilia. It features original photos and revealing information on the Spanish-American war and The Philippine Insurrection.
One of the most-loved books in recent memory, 'The Greatest Generation' by Tom Brokaw, gave us a penetrating look at World War II America. Award winning author Bernard Fleury believes there is another story that begs to be told. He presents a compelling and and engaging version of this story in 'A Bee In His Bonnet'.
'A Bee in His Bonnet' is an action packed, creative non-fiction biography. The book offers readers a look into the life of an American soldier, Frank King, Fleury’s grandfather, who came to America in 1898 and stayed to become a career army man, profuse diarist, and world traveler. He fought in wars that few of us know, but whose repercussions are still felt today: The Spanish-American War, The Philippine Insurrection, and World War I. King’s Company G, Eighth Infantry, was involved in the earliest documented anti-terrorist campaigns in The Philippine Insurrection.
King was present for the capture of Aguinaldo, and during his second tour there was personally instrumental in the capture of the Bin Laden of his day, Faustino Ablen. He served in the famous Third Division in World War I. He was officially cited twice for his heroism and the part he played in the famous battles at Champagne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, and Chateau Thiery, under General John Pershing who attended Frank’s retirement, personally presenting his retirement papers.
There are 28 original photos in the book including the photo of Faustino Ablen when captured. This photo was sent to the author by a Filipino professor who discovered it in a closed library once operated by Franciscan Friars. The photos cover 98 years from 1860 to 1958 in the Frank King story. They are an old photos collector's treasure.
“Frank was officially cited twice during the Marne Offensive in World War I from July 14 -18,1918,” Fleury stated:
'King, Frank,Battalion Sergeant Major, 544360. This soldier on the night of July 14,1918, while escorting the runner of the Second Battalion to an advance P.C. on the Marne displayed great skill and presence of mind.....While in charge of Liaison of Headquarters Company Second Battalion, Thirtieth Infantry, displayed great courage and resourcefulness throughout the preparatory fire of the Champagne-Marne Defensive, July 15-18, 1918, in the Bois d'Aigremont, near Crezancy, France,....He stayed at his post through the bombardment and although gassed, assisted and directed others in their various duties. He refused to be evacuated until the regiment was relieved.'
“The doctor told him that due to the damage done to his lungs that he would only live 10 to 15 years more, but he actually lived 40 more years!
“His heroism was never more evident than it was from September 11-December 25, 1958 while in the Nursing home suffering from throat cancer. He chose to die rather than have a tube in his throat and be unable to speak for the rest of his life. Severe pain required that he be heavily drugged so he was in and out of consciousness and unable to speak for the last month of his life but his bright blue eyes spoke volumes. On Christmas day the doctor told us he would die that day so we stayed with him the entire day. As night fell, the nurse told us it looked like he would make it until the next day so we went home. He grasped tightly the crucifix hanging on the rail of his bed. While his roommate was out of the room, he closed his tired eyes forever. The victory had been won and he had gone to claim the everlasting reward, the reward of those who are honest and faithful.”
Readers and reviewers have praised 'A Bee In His Bonnet'.
Sefina Hawke said, “A Bee in His Bonnet by Bernard J. Fleury is a well written biography that offers a unique perspective. The author uses old photos with captions and that really helped me to feel a connection with the people featured in this book. It allowed me to have a clear image in my head of what they actually looked like instead of having to rely purely on my imagination. I particularly liked learning about Frank King's part in the capture of Faustino Ablen. As I read this book, I found myself becoming interested in learning more about some of the wars Frank King fought in so that I could truly understand more about the role that he played in them as an individual soldier."
Arya Fomonyuy said, "This action-packed nonfiction story pulls the reader into the climates of war and makes them experience what it felt like to be at the front line. Told from the unique perspective of the soldier, the story is filled with relevant historical references and moments, a tale of courage and bravery in the face of war. The reader is transported to different historical places to experience some of the most grueling and intensive actions in war. The author captures very interesting historical details and enables readers to understand world politics and conflict from the point of view of someone who was actively and personally involved. The writing in A Bee in His Bonnet is beautiful and Bernard J. Fleury's literary skill and charm keep readers engaged. This is a tale of family, of war, of travel, and one man's dedication to his country."
Kimberly J. Benart stated, "A Bee in His Bonnet is the kind of book you don't want to put down once you start reading it. The word 'adventure' hardly captures the full breadth and scale of Dr. Fleury's treatment of his grandfather's life. The narrative and dialog keep the pace moving at a clip, while now and then there is a slight pause to remind the reader of the historical setting. I cried at the end, as I believe any reader would. This is a magnificent tribute by a grandson to his grandfather, just as Frank King's life stands as a magnificent tribute to the caliber of man that he was."
Bernard Fleury's books have received a large number of 5-star rated reviews. He was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. That honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

In a recent post on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her website, award winning author Jody Sharpe described some of the happenings that went beyond coincidence after the untimely death of her daughter Kate. Some of these events inspired her to begin writing novels about angels and their interactions with humans. Sadly, not long after, she also lost her husband and again experienced serendipitous encounters that were beyond mere chance. Now the angels on the writer's shoulder have provided the stimulus for a new children's book entitled, 'When The Angel Sent Butterflies'. On her website, Sharpe describes some of these synchronicities:
"Kate’s memory had inspired me to write novels about angels and my life was filled with purpose and thanksgiving. Yet sadly I lost my husband Steve and wondered how would I handle another death of someone I loved? But a beautiful new message came. Was it another synchronicity happening? My son, Mike, gave me a birthday card with a jeweled butterfly on it. 'You will get your wings and fly again soon,' Mike wrote.
"And so inspired by his loving heartfelt card and the yellow butterflies on the bushes outside my window, I began to formulate in my mind the third novel in the Mystic Bay Series, Town of Angels. It’s a novel set in the psychic town of Mystic Bay where angels live as humans and love abounds. In the story butterflies are sent from Angel Ken, to calm and nurture his flock of humans. Some land on the shoulders and fingers of the characters changing their days to happy ones.
"And then a serendipitous encounter? What happened next was to me a miracle. This past summer Elizabeth called with news of a butterfly landing near and on her family as they sat on the steps at their apartment building in New York City. For one week in the late afternoon a butterfly graced them with its presence landing a few times on each of them. It landed on my son-in-laws’ finger, on Elizabeth’s shoulder and on the baby’s shoulder. A coincidence caught on their cell phones?
"I think not but a synchronicity, a happening of love, a testimony of finding heaven's messages in the everyday. For I believe our world is awash with guiding angels. Some even come in dreams or send butterflies. For you see the most lovely part of this story is dear Elizabeth and her husband Seth named their baby girl Kate more then twenty years after Kate’s passing. I had my baby granddaughter, Kate, another Kate to love. A butterfly had landed on her shoulder just as I’d written in my latest novel."

In Sharpe's highly acclaimed novels, the angels take on human form and interact with humanity in a variety of ways:
Town of Angels - It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…
To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.
The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Florence Nightingale, Charge Of The Light Brigade And Crimean War Featured In Newly Released Christian Historical Romance Novel By Award Winning Author Donna Fletcher Crow, 'Where Love Shines'
Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history.
Multi-award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced novel number 5 in the 'Where There Is Love' series is now available in print. The new Christian historical romance novel features dramatic story arcs such as Florence Nightingale and the Charge of the Light Brigade set against a backdrop of the Crimean War.
In the storyline of the novel, Lieutenant Richard Greyston seeks heroic glory in the Charge of the Light Brigade. Jennifer Neville goes to Scutari as one of Florence Nightingale's nurses dreaming of wiping the brows of the wounded. Richard winds up blinded and Jennifer spends her days carrying slops as mice fall from the walls of the hospital.
Back in London Jennifer throws herself into charity work under the leadership of the Earl of Shaftesbury. She is delighted to reconnect with the convalescing Richard until she learns that his family's wealth is built on the potteries where children are subjected to unimaginable brutality. Richard eventually joins Shaftesbury's fight for social justice but must find a way out of the darkness to deal with his feelings for Jennifer.
Crow says, “The Charge of the Light Brigade has captured my imagination since I was a child. The courage of these 500 brave men who charged full-force into the face of firing Russian cannon and succeeded in capturing them—at enormous cost—seems unimaginable.
“And yet, even that pales in comparison to the fortitude and perseverance of Florence Nightengale and her nurses fighting to save lives in a burnt-out hospital overrun with vermin, with rampant disease, with polluted water, and with few supplies—all in the face of bureaucratic opposition.
“Still, not all the horrors of the day were in the Crimea. Poor English children were put to work in inconceivable conditions in mines, potteries, and up chimneys.
“I have found this a wonderful story to tell: a story of triumph over all these abuses as valiant crusaders such as the Earl of Shaftesbury led a hard, but successful, fight for justice. And the great thing is, such stories can give us faith and determination to see the wrongs of our own day put right.”
Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 50 books, mostly novels of British history. She has taken a number of high-level industry awards for her work.'Glastonbury' is her best-known book, which received the prestigious First Place, Historical Novel, award from the National Federation of Press Women. Readers and reviewers have raved about 'Glastonbury', calling it "The best of its kind," "richly fascinating," "beautifully researched,", "gloriously evocative," and "panoramic." One Amazon reader said, "WHAT a work! Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."
The Monastery Murders Series features atmospheric contemporary crimes with their roots buried deep in the middle ages. Books in the series include 'A Very Private Grave', 'A Darkly Hidden Truth', 'An Unholy Communion', 'A Newly Crimsoned Reliquary' and 'An All-Consuming Fire' and the upcoming 'Against All Fierce Hostility.'
The Daughters of Courage, 'Kathryn', 'Elizabeth' and 'Stephanie' is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area. A short story on her blog entitled “A Nostalgic Fourth of July” is based on a scene from ‘Kathryn: Days of Loss and Hope'.
The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in 'The Flame Ignites', Dorothy L Sayers in 'The Shadow of Reality', Shakespeare in 'A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare', and Jane Austen in both 'A Jane Austen Encounter' and 'A Most Singular Venture'.
