Healing therapies that a light based are sometimes controversial topics. The concept was again brought to the forefront of our collective consciousness recently after the possibility was mentioned as a treatment for Covid-19 by President Trump.
According to information presented on the AYTU BioScience website, UVA light shows promise in regards to killing "a variety of viruses and bacteria . . . " It has also been proposed that this type of therapy can be used to treat skin conditions, cancer and a host of other conditions. Certainly laser therapies and treatments, a form of light, have gained wide acceptance in the medical community. But what if there is more?
In his book, 'The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection In The Medicine Of Light', Bernard J. Fleury, Ed.D., gives us an overview of what has been made possible and what may still be possible. Bernard Fleury is Professor Emeritus at Westfield State University and a Roman Catholic Permanent Deacon. He holds an A.A. degree in Classical Languages, a B.A. in History, a M.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Philosophy, and an Ed.D. in Administration with a minor in Government. He taught in both the undergraduate and graduate divisions at Westfield State University for thirty years and was a Public School teacher and principal for thirteen years.
