No Charge Giveaway For Hilarious Best Selling Show Business Ebook, Jewish Thighs On Broadway, Available April 14 At Amazon

Penny Orloff's book, based on her own misadventures in Show Business, inspired a sidesplitting one-woman show performed all over the United States.

Bestselling author Penny Orloff recently announced that her comedic novel, ‘Jewish Thighs on Broadway: Misadventures of a Little Trouper,’ will be available in ebook form at no charge April 14 at Amazon.

The ebook version of 'Jewish Thighs on Broadway' has achieved bestseller status in a number of categories: Comedy, Biographies of Comedians, Humorous Literary Fiction, and Theatre Biographies.

Orloff's novel is populated by an oddball immigrant family, on-again-off-again lovers, diets from Hell, and a Rogue's Gallery from the Showbiz underworld; and every scene has readers laughing out loud.

“Jewish Thighs is a quirky, funny, first-person story, based on slightly fictionalized true events–the names have been changed to protect the guilty!” Penny said. “Like The Devil Wears Prada, it’s a love-hate mixture of celebration and revenge, leveled at a very sparkly profession with a very dark underside.”

Abigail Paine, born Miriam Rosen, has been in love with Showbiz and the performing arts since childhood, perpetually fantasizing herself as the Little Trouper Who Finds Stardom and True Love by the end of the movie. After a hundred shows and a hundred one-night stands, love and fame still elude her, and she'd rather eat cyanide than face another audition. Complicating her search for the Busby Berkeley ending is her primitive alter-ego: The Beast. This creature can track, kill, dismember, and devour an entire cheesecake; and kick the stuffing out of smaller muggers on the sidewalks of New York. When Abigail finds love at long last, she is faced with an agonizing choice: Showbiz or The Guy. As she laments, “Breaking into this Business is like breaking into Fort Knox; breaking out, we're talking Alcatraz.”

Orloff’s one-woman show, inspired by the novel, played to standing ovations and critical acclaim, including sold-out houses and rave reviews for its premiere in the Seattle Fringe Theater Festival in March, 2000. The show toured the U.S. for a decade, including a successful off-Broadway run in 2005.

The ebook version of the novel will be available free of charge April 14, 2025, at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Jewish-Thighs-Broadway-Misadventures-Trouper-ebook/dp/B0DTC15NGZ/ref=sr_1_1?.

Metropolitan Opera Leading Tenor Jacques Trussel called 'Jewish Thighs on Broadway', "Ravishingly descriptive and continuously entertaining... the best book I have ever read on this subject... incredible warmth, wit, charm... Brilliant!"

Theater Puget Sound’s review said, " . . . passionate. . . Wonderfully evocative language, lots of humor, tears where they belong...thoroughly enjoyable."

One Amazon reviewer wrote, "Fun book! I highly recommend it. Characters are bigger than life, and delightfully screwball. Everyone's Jewish family nightmare! Lots of laughs." Another stated, “No doubt the most fun I’ve had reading for many years. Read it and laugh!"

Penny Orloff is available for media interviews and can be reached at Penny@pennyorloff.com. More information is available at her website at https://pennyorloff.com.

About Penny Orloff:

Penny Orloff was a working actor/dancer in Los Angeles when a Juilliard scholarship took her to New York. She had featured roles on Broadway, working for such directors as Harold Prince and Joseph Papp, and sang more than 20 Principal Soprano roles for New York City Opera under Julius Rudel and Beverly Sills. In a 50-plus year career in the performing arts, Penny Orloff played major roles in classic musicals such as Fiddler On The Roof, Guys And Dolls, Camelot, and My Fair Lady. She starred as Aldonza in five different productions of Man of La Mancha, including an extensive tour throughout the United States. In 1981 she was featured in the first American production of Kurt Weill’s Silverlake, directed by the late, great Harold Prince at New York City Opera. With the success of that production, Harold Prince invited her as an original cast principal in his 1982 A Doll's Life, by legendary writing team Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Having outlived most of her early competition for film roles, since 2012 she has enjoyed acting in a range of interesting shorts, Indie, and feature films.

Bestselling Young Adult Fantasy Ebook, Big Ears Jack and Friends, The Perfect Easter Gift, Available At No Charge April 14 Through April 16, 2025

The book is a collection of tall tales featuring extraordinary animals and plants from the Sonoran Desert of Baja California. It is a literary experience for young readers that can help ignite a passion for the natural world.

Award-winning author Earl Vincent de Berge's bestselling young adult fantasy ebook, ‘Big Ears Jack and Friends’ will be available at no charge on Amazon April 14 through April 16, 2025. The book is the perfect Easter gift for readers age 12 and up.

This bestselling book is an enchanting young adult fantasy book that will captivate young readers' imagination and take them on a journey like no other. A collection of 15 fascinating short fantasy stories, the book celebrates the wild animals and plants of the hottest desert in the Americas, on the world's narrowest peninsula, Baja.

The hero of the story, Big Ears Jack, is a jackrabbit with huge ears and magical powers that he uses to help his fellow desert friends. Jack is a loyal friend, and the star of this wildly entertaining new book.

Jack and his friends embark on a series of magical adventures as they outsmart coyotes, race dragonflies, sing with kangaroo rats, and even dance with dust devils. Along the way, readers will meet Nosey and Wag, mischievous coyote brothers; Blue Dasher, a racing dragonfly; the Kangaroo Rat Chorus; tree-lizard Boris; Giro the dust devil; Hawk Conchita and the red ants; Lady Treble Clef, a watchful cactus; Paulina, the puma poet; Diana the musical tarantula; Lady Chrona, a sea lion who dreams of flying; a scheming sea gull named Swindler; the beautiful bobcat Miss Mucha Purrs; Young Red Fox and his sweet love, the lovely rabbit Adorna; Mr. Shellie the chatterbox tortoise and others.

De Berge’s enchanting new book is the perfect gift for young people who will love to read stories and learn about coyotes, foxes, jackrabbits, and other desert animals. The book strikes a balance between captivating storytelling and charming illustrations. School librarians will be interested in adding the book to school catalogs, as it is both entertaining and informative.

The ebook version of 'Big Ears Jack and Friends' will be available -- at no charge -- April 14 through April 16 at https://www.amazon.com/Ears-Jack-Friends-Earl-Berge-ebook/dp/B0DM6PR8HW.

A recent review of the book by AWA stated, "One of the book’s greatest strengths is its world-building. De Berge weaves the flora and fauna of Baja California into the narrative, making the setting feel like a character itself. Talking cacti, dust devils playing tag, and wise desert tortoises enrich the stories, placing readers in an enchanting ecosystem where the line between reality and fantasy blurs.

"The themes of community, creativity, and environmental respect run throughout the collection. Young readers will enjoy the magical adventures and witty dialogue, while adults will appreciate the underlying messages about cooperation, individuality, and harmony with nature."

Earl Vincent de Berge is also the author of 'A Finger of Land on an Old Man’s Hand'. This coming of age memoir is more than just another adventure story; it’s a meditation on resilience, friendship, and the inescapable pull of self-discovery. Each challenge -- be it physical or emotional -- becomes a steppingstone in the explorers’ evolution, perhaps reminding readers of their own capacity for growth. It offers a compelling testament to the human spirit's capacity for transformation.

The Baja Peninsula serves as both a backdrop and a mirror. It immerses readers in four explorers' transformative journey through Baja California in 1962 and 1964, inspired by 'The Forgotten Peninsula' by Joseph Wood Krutch.

Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled to know the book offers a treasure trove of previously unreleased vintage photographs of Baja, the second-longest peninsula in the world.

One reviewer called the book, ". . . a beautifully written, fabulous tale of an incredibly brave and daring journey." ReaderViews, in their 5-star review said, "A Finger of Land on an Old Man’s Hand by Earl Vincent de Berge is the stark, witty, and profound memoir of four college students testing their limits on the Baja Peninsula in the summer of 1962. One could think of this as the classic literary assignment, 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation.' Only to do so would be to grossly underestimate this narrative."

Earl’s adventures in Baja deepened his youthful fascination with the Sonoran Desert and its plants and animals and inspired him to write a collection of charming stories for young readers. The main characters are Big Ears Jack – a huge magician jackrabbit – and other animals, birds and plants of the Sonoran Desert and its coastal regions. 'Big Ears Jack and Friends,' is now available on Amazon in both print and e-book formats and would be a unique and delightful addition to anyone’s Easter basket.

‘Big Ears Jack and Friends’ took Best In Category 2024, Nonfiction, from the Arizona Authors Association.

To date, Earl has also published three collections of his poems, 'Allegro to Life,' 'Swans to Carry Me,' and 'Wind in the Elephant Tree,' which touch on nature, human nature, love, desert silence, and life in Guatemala.

All of de Berge's books are available at Amazon and other online book retailers. More information, including an excerpt from the book and a PDF of selected photos from 'A Finger of Land On An Old Man's Hand', with insider details revealing Baja in the 1960s, is available at his website at https://www.earldeberge.com/.

Seven Ways Women Can Build Resilience And Self Esteem Offered By Bestselling Author Barbara Becker Holstein

In the tradition of authors like Judy Blume, Dr. Holstein pushes the envelope in covering the challenges girls really face, without sugar coating it or downplaying the feelings or passions young girls experience, regarding things that are important to them at this stage of their development.

Building resilience and self-esteem is absolutely crucial for girls, and for women of all ages, as it empowers them to navigate challenges and setbacks with confidence, fostering mental and emotional well-being. High self-esteem enables women to advocate for themselves and their rights, breaking down barriers and stereotypes. Resilience helps women to bounce back from adversity, making them more adaptable and better equipped to pursue their goals and aspirations.

In a recent article on her site, bestselling author Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein offered 7 ways girls and women can develop these all-important traits. In that article, she said in part:

Intuition. We all are intuitive at times. Research suggests that our brain has picked up on a lot more information outside of ourselves than we realize. So if your gut feels uncomfortable at times, you may want to further check what the circumstances are that you are dealing with. Of course only you know when something is exactly right for you, so it is questionable decisions that I am suggesting you listen to your own feelings when necessary. After all, who is your best friend? You are.

Staying alert. Recognizing your talents and potential even if you are the only one doing so. Never give up on your own talents and potential. Take time every once and awhile to sit down with yourself and think about all the talents you have even if they are not developed and your untapped potential. You may be amazed at all you can still do even if some doors are closed. For example you may not be able to ski anymore, but you can still enjoy watching the sport or maybe giving pointers to children about skiing.

Overcoming fears. We all get scared about new things to do or changing our behaviors in any way. Welcome to being human. Best to try to be less afraid so you don’t spoil chances for yourself. There are endless suggestions on the web as how to be more courageous and of course there are many mental health professionals who can help you feel stronger about yourself and your decisions.

Take advantage of help, as in reality you are unique. Just think about this: Kleenex may never have been invented if the inventor wasn’t willing to get a patent on it. After all, hankerchiefs had been good enough for hundreds or thousands of years. I sure glad someone had the courage to patent Kleenex.

Being generous and sharing. We all have had something happen when we were in the dumps that made us feel better. Let’s never forget to pass on goodness and kindness to others. It is so easy to do so. Most people admit that once they do a good deed even when in a bad mood they feel better. So join the crowd.

Believing in what you have to offer the world. This is a tough concept. Usually us women put ourselves down and see ourselves not in the best light. Believing in ourselves means we understand that all of us struggle to meet and handle the issues that come up in our lives. Men often hold in to themselves more of their difficulties than women do. We often have friends or family members where we will share our problems. But the truth is we bring just as much to the table of success as men do. In the end of all difficulties, some are solved and some remain failures of a sort, no matter who we are. We can only offer to do the best we can. So practice seeing yourself in a positive light. it will bring you pleasure and a more honest positive look at your offerings to the world.

Realize there is enough success to to go around for all. My dad always said that there is enough success to go around. I believe he was right. Every time one person opens the door to success then there are more doors that need to be opened to make another dream come true. So don’t lose out on your chance for your dreams to come true.

In 2015 my first selfie film, A Short Film, was selected to be shown at the Garden State Film Festival. It won an award for the best song, written by Critelli and sung by Lindsay Lucas. That was the start of an amazing part of my life. I have added Filmmaker to my resume. It took another few years and more selfie films to have the joy of experiencing almost all of my films being accepted wherever I sent them and many of them to win awards of one sort or another.

As the calendar enters the year 2025, I can account for more than 200 times that a film of mine was accepted somewhere and/or won recognition beyond being accepted. It took another few years and more selfie films, documentaries, fantasy films and Zoom films to have the joy of experiencing almost all of my films being accepted wherever I sent them and many of them to win awards of one sort or another.

What does my success have to do with your success?

Bestselling Author Jody Sharpe Announces New Article, Bestselling Status For ‘20 Moon Road’

As a former teacher of special needs children, Sharpe has direct experience regarding the effect bullying has on children. Her award-winning, bestselling books help readers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

Today's headlines are filled with turmoil and conflict. Something seems to be missing. Is this ongoing tension and discord the future we want for our children? If not, what can we do to change it?

When children experience love, they are more likely to develop strong social skills, empathy, and a positive self-image. This naturally leads to healthier relationships, reduced conflict, and a greater sense of community. Love inspires acts of kindness and generosity, which can ripple outwards, creating a more harmonious and supportive world. By instilling these values, we ensure that future generations are equipped to handle life's challenges.

In a recent article titled "The Angels Inspire My Words," Sharpe wrote in part:

In our world where turmoil persists, the inspirations from the angels have led me to write the following. In one hundred years from now all that will matter to many of us human beings on earth is that we tried to pass our love to our children and grandchildren. We are all watching how the bullies of the world try to break peace and the promise of a harmonious future.

On our fragile God’s green earth each of us can make a difference. Passing the love on will be for me a message of hope for a future for my loved ones. The greedy, the narcissists clearly don’t understand what they are missing and that as bullies they will never win.

We must pray for our world, pass the love around to our family and friends with kindness toward all others. Love is more powerful than hate.

The full text of the article is available at https://jodysharpe.com/blog.

Sharpe also announced that the ebook version of book 6 in the Mystic Bay Series, ‘20 Moon Rd., An Angel’s Tale’ recently achieved bestseller status. The book took First Place nationally in the novella category in the 2023 in the NFPW Professional Communication Contest.

In ‘20 Moon Rd., the bully never wins. Miracles still happen in the town of Mystic Bay California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a former football coach, is surprised when his late best friend, the indomitable psychic, Madam Norma, appears in spirit form and asks him to write the story of her life through her memories she will send him. Surprising to Angel Ken, Madam Norma saw thousands of angels since childhood.

Sharpe recently received an honorable mention in the 2024 National Federation of Press Women's Professional Communication contest at the national level for one of her novels, ‘Summer of Angels’. This is the fourth NFPW win for her. In 2023, Town Of Angels Christmas also placed At Large, as did ‘Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder’.

She was also featured in the September issue of 'Great Writers You Should Be Reading Magazine.'

Books by Jody Sharpe include:

To Catch an Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch an Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch an Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California, and only two people know it. First, there’s Hannah, a tender curly-headed half-angel. Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe, but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he's written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Town Of Angels - it's angel vs. Bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well-kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children, all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as brute, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give in to the bully's efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angel sightings, angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer, and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match through the soft voices and intuitive minds of his neighbors.

Town Of Angels Christmas - The bully never wins. A secret lies in Mystic Bay California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a storeowner, fears the secret will be revealed when vet, Jordana Hart, a woman with special healing abilities moves to town.

Years before Angel Ken materialized as an old man, changing the course of her life. Will Jordana recognize Angel Ken as the man from her past as they work together on a rescue mission to bring twenty-two horses to Mystic Bay before Christmas, will they see what lies before them, a Christmas story only the angels could write.

Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women's At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It's a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life's journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life."

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

Special Needs Children followed her recently released children's book about angels, When The Angel Sent Butterflies. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear, and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

One of her latest books, Summer Of Angels, is a mystery novel. Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force proves a force to be reckoned with as she moves back to her beloved Mystic Bay, California. While sleeping, an angel sent her a vision in a dream of a future event. Gayle realizes she must use her intuition to save an old man from drowning. But who is this old man?

With the help of intuitive attorney, Alex Knight, she finds they are caught in the middle of a future crime. But can Gayle and Alex solve the case and save the old man before it’s too late? With surprising twists and turns of intrigue and love, Gayle and Alex find there are angels at the helm as they help prove the bully never wins.

The Dog Who Came For Christmas: Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force Knight, proves to be a force to be reckoned with once more. While Gayle was sleeping, an angel sent her a vision of a future event. With her intuition, Gayle wonders, will she really meet the dog in her dream and save another one?

With the help of her intuitive husband, Alex Knight, and friends, Gayle sets on a course to rescue many more. But with surprising twists and turns of intrigue, both Gayle and Alex find there are always angels at the helm as they ride on their coattails.

In addition, on the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real-life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters, and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas.

"Trump's Economic Policies Are Utterly Destructive" Says Elizabeth Graham, Author Of From Democracy To Democrazy, Available In eBook Format At No Charge On March 26, 2025 At Amazon

Kirkus Professional Book Reviewers said: "Graham's new book is an intriguing and informative ‘must read’ from a woman who is probably the best-informed American on the terrifying realities concerning Vladimir Putin's motivations and his control over Trump. It is a warning to all Americans."

Elizabeth Graham, author of the bestselling ebook, 'From Democracy to Democrazy', has announced the ebook version of the book will be available at no charge on March 26, 2025 at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Elizabeth-Graham/author/B0CMY189NT?.

Elizabeth Graham had a Top-Secret Security Clearance while a senior in high school, and immediately upon graduation began working undercover with the CIA. She later joined the SAIC's Foreign Systems Research Center (FSRC) for 12 years. Eight of these years were spent studying Russia and Russian, and she managed the largest Russian-language military, technical and intelligence library in the U.S. She began to travel to the Soviet Union and then became one of the very few Americans to move to the USSR. She lived under Communism in the Soviet Union, then Russia, and Central Asia long enough to become bi-cultural - she became Russian. Her first-hand knowledge and understanding of life in a communist or dictatorship country is shared with Americans in her book and in her Substack by the same name (egraham.substack.com). She believes the U.S. is headed for a cataclysm – a disaster. In a recent article, she wrote in part:

Trump is the bankruptcy king. The Trump Taj Mahal failed just one year after opening due to poor financial decisions and mammoth debt. His Castle and Trump Plaza suffered the same death. A few years later (2004), Trump hotels and casino resorts filed a Chapter 11, and in 2009 so did the Trump Entertainment Resorts. His list of crimes associated with his bankruptcies and real estate including: (1) he didn’t pay the people who did the work, and (2) racial discrimination in renting practices.

The Trump graveyard of business ventures include: (1) Trump University, (2) Trump Steaks, (3) Trump Vodka, (4) Trump Airlines, and (5) Go.Trump.com. His Trump Foundation was found to be his personal piggy bank, just like his requests asking Trump followers for donations which he used to pay his personal attorneys to keep him out of prison. His convicted crimes include massive business fraud, 34 felony counts, and he is now legally labeled a sexual predator. He has proved without a doubt that he is a business failure, a con man, and a criminal. His un-convicted crime – yet to be conclusive is his relationship with Russia.  Why, then,  do millions of Americans not see the truth about Mr. Trump?

A stated goal of Mr. Trump’s administration’s trade policy is “to bring back jobs to America.” (The Washington Post, 10/25/2016) HE LIED. Since taking office in January 2025, DOGE has laid off over 274,900 Americans, and this does NOT account for the 83% of the USAID programs which have been closed. (FORBES, Sara Dorn and Molly Bohannon, March 18, 2025) By cutting USAID contracts, American farmers lost $2 billion in subsidized crop support for the USAID food program that fed the poor worldwide. We promised to help these people, and we failed them.  Now, numerous children around the world are starving to death and women are again dying during childbirth.

When our government imposes a tariff (a tax on imported goods), that money comes from somewhere. Those hit by this tax are (1) the exporter in the foreign country, but also the (2) importing company in the U.S. as well as the (3) consumer – YOU AND ME. Even more importantly, those exporting countries – who were our allies, no longer consider us bedfellows – so international trade as well as cooperation is disrupted and/or destroyed.

He is turning allies into enemies.

“As President Trump imposes tariffs on products from countries around the world, foreign governments are answering back with tariffs of their own. China has targeted corn farmers and carmakers. Canada has put tariffs on poultry plants and air-conditioning manufacturers, while Europe will hit American steel mills and slaughterhouses.” (NYT, 3/17/2025) And instead of sourcing the U.S. for corn or other agricultural products, some European countries and even China are now looking at South American countries as a source of products previously traded with America.

The New York Times article on March 19, 2025, states, “The retaliatory tariffs are an attempt to put pressure on the president to relent. And they have been carefully designed to hit Mr. Trump where it hurts: nearly 8 million Americans work in industries targeted by the levies and the majority are/were Trump voters. . . Mr. Trump has argued that tariffs will help boost American jobs. But economists - those with far more economic education and experience than Trump - say that retaliatory tariffs can cancel that effect. (Ibid)

The countermeasures are aimed at industries that employ 7.75 million people across the United States. The bulk of those — 4.48 million — are in counties that voted for Mr. Trump in the last election, according to calculations by The New York Times.

Ms. Graham went on to say, "We are trying to get one million Americans or others around the world to file a complaint with the International Criminal Court in Helsinki, Finland. You can file anonymously.  Both Musk and Trump knew that people would die when they closed USAID. Parts of Africa are now facing a genocide because of their actions.  This is a "crime against humanity." Please help and send out this message to others. Read the following for more information:"

All of this information and much more is available in Graham's book, 'From Democracy To Democrazy: A Warning To All Americans', now available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Elizabeth-Graham/author/B0CMY189NT?. The bestselling ebook version will be available at no charge March 26, 2025. More information is available at her website at https://democrazy2020.org/.

About Elizabeth Graham:

Elizabeth Graham lives in a quiet rural city in northern Arizona. She had 4 children and has 3 grandchildren. Her oldest daughter died July 16, 2016 - three months before the U.S. 2016 election and while living/working in Japan. The Tokyo Police ruled her death a homicide by an unknown substance – possibly a poison - which is the signature lethal method used by Russians. There is more about her death in From Democracy to Democrazy.

Elizabeth was indoctrinated at a young age by her father who was a senior manager working undercover with the CIA. Her college days were in Los Angeles with the desire to become a high school teacher. However, she was destined to study Russia, Russian language, and live a life of Top-Secret clearances and undercover work. This led to senior nonprofit management positions and consulting jobs in strategic places like Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia, all the former Soviet countries (15 countries including the Baltics, Central Asia, and Ukraine), Pakistan, Afghanistan, and many other locations. In this process of living and working abroad, she became bi-cultural - American to Russian and back – only to find that her birth country was in the process of losing its democracy and becoming a dictatorship.

Top Motivational Speaker Rocky Romanella Discusses How 'What If' Visionaries Combine Traditional Values With Vision To Become The Architects Of Their Destiny

Renowned as a keynote speaker, trainer, and Forbes Contributor, Romanella founded 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. With 40+ years in leadership, he served as CEO and Director at UniTek Global Services after a 36-year UPS career.

Strategic planning is a core component of any business strategy. A multitude of factors, all equally important, enter into this equation and many of us are quite good at putting together solid business plans. Strategic thinking on the other hand is a different skill altogether, requiring the ability to envision future trends and possibilities. Top motivational speaker Rocky Romanella recently published an article titled, "Are You A 'What If' Visionary" in which he discussed the importance of this visionary approach and how this builds a bridge to the future. In that article he stated in part:

Over the past 9 months I have had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with some incredible people and companies. Businesses of all sizes, that have great people, wonderful technology and energy and enthusiasm for growth.

Many of these companies are in traditional businesses. All possess two things in common, they all have core values that are traditional and a vision that is exciting and new! I will call them the “WHAT IF VISIONARIES.”

They are the people who believe that someone is going to be the best at what they do, why not us? They are the architects of their own destinies and believe you should never allow anyone to affect you more than you can affect yourself.

I have had the opportunity to partner with them on strategies, create training workshops and deliver keynotes where we inspired each other.

It caused me to examine some of the paradigms, wise tales, and urban legends I grew up with. Here are two that I think the “what If visionaries” would not accept!

The first is one we have all heard and probably used. Does this sound familiar?

The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know.

While this may work with Wall Street investors who like consistency in expectations, it can be harmful in many ways as a leader. Let us look at it from a few perspectives.

1. People: you may stick too long with a person who needs a change of job or scenery. It may be time for a new position but because they are the person you know, no change is made, you stick with the status quo, the safe bet. The real casualty is the value you place on variety of thought and the encouragement of a wide range of viewpoints among team members to avoid group thinking. It hinders your ability to create more impactful solutions and opportunities for advancement.

2. Business: sticking with the devil you know does not allow you to identify and successfully generate new products, markets, and geographic growth opportunities. It stifles you from continually searching for ways to add value and to position the organization for future success.

3. You will always stop at the first answer. The “What if Visionaries” look past the first right answer to create breakthrough, first to market answers!

Another one is:

It is not the plan that is important, it is the planning.

1. If you focus on the planning process (the activity of planning) only and not the desired outcome and how to accomplish the desired outcomes, along with the key metrics, this leads to an organization with a poor plan and poor results but with some great planning meetings.

2. It brings into question the business acumen of the leader. Do they understand and have experience in all functional areas of their business? Do they understand finance as the language of business and use it to effectively monitor and improve business performance and do they know how to utilize a Balanced Business Scorecard to augment financial planning?

3. They should be credible with the investor community and all other stakeholders as they are building the plan. Finally, they need to become an expert in all aspects of business planning and lead the management team in highly effective planning protocols.

Working with the “what if visionaries” is motivating, empowering and creates great energy and enthusiasm inside an organization. The change in thinking for them is questions like:

• What if we viewed our people as our greatest asset?
• What if we aspired to have the best, the brightest, most informed, and best people in our industry?
• What if our processes created our quality results?
• What if we are a technology company that happens to make “X” product or “Y” services?
• Are we the sum of many little things done well?
• What does good look like?

The list can go on and on. But for me one thing is clear, the “What If Visionaries” are the next generation of business leaders who will be the Architects Of Their Own Destiny!

These are the people I want to work with, consult with, train with, strategize with and speak with, because they see things differently and challenge themselves not to stop at the first right answer.

"What if Visionaries" embrace and understand that leadership is about building a bridge to the future. Success will be measured by the degree to which you give your people the opportunity to help build that bridge by communicating and educating each one of them on the vision and strategy.

Water Drumming In The Soul, Bestselling Literary Fiction Ebook By Author Eric Madeen, Available At No Charge At Amazon March 26, 2025

‘Water Drumming In The Soul’ has been called a "modern-day classic" that redefines traditional narratives.

The bestselling literary fiction ebook, 'Water Drumming In The Soul: A Novel Of Racy Love in the Heart of Africa' by Eric Madeen will be available at no charge in e-book format March 26, 2025 on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Eric-Madeen/author/B08VGRNJVW?.

Eric Madeen is an award-winning, bestselling author of six books. His writings have landed in executive suites of publications, from senior to junior worldwide.

Like wunderkind best-seller Paul Theroux, Eric Madeen will always think of himself as a Peace Corps volunteer, one who, just after graduating from the University of Arizona, constructed in Francophone Gabon, Africa a primary school complex in an equatorial village surrounded by rainforest … where he got lost for three days while hunting monkeys for the cooking pot … and where notably he fell in love, giving his first novel, 'Water Drumming in the Soul' a vigorous fictional reality.

In this fiery tale set in steamy equatorial Africa, Peace Corps volunteer David Fields is on mission: to build a medical dispensary in a village where spells are cast on enemies and fear of a geek-shaman reigns. David seldom has his bearings – cultural or geographical – and must fight a cocktail of tropical maladies as well as social taboos as he throws himself into work. Until... he meets Assam. Captivated by her water drumming, her playing the stream as a drum, David is drawn to her early on and becomes the hunter captured by the game. And what a rollicking game of love it is - with a tension or excitement between them that never dissipates, … until the haunting end.

Readers and reviewers have expressed high praise for 'Water Drumming In The Soul'. Zaheer Baber; Professor of Sociology; University of Toronto, said, "Madeen's storytelling prowess shines through and resonates with authenticity. The characters, particularly Assam, are beautifully developed, challenging traditional stereotypes as in presenting a more nuanced and genuine portrayal of African culture.”

Elizabeth Montano, author of The Eternal Dawn Trilogy, called it " a novel so beautifully and realistically written I found it on par with works by whom we consider masters … Hemingway definitely comes to mind."

One Amazon reviewer said, "Water Drumming in the Soul not only tells a passionate love story, but it also delves into thought-provoking themes like culture, identity, and the power of human connection. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that'll have you laughing, crying, and everything in between. This isn't your typical love story! This novel is well-written and full of unexpected twists that keep you flipping those pages. Plus, the characters are so well-developed that you'll feel like you've known them forever. So, if you're ready for a wild and adventurous ride, grab a copy of this modern-day classic ASAP!"

Eric Madeen writes cross-genre, and is the author of a number of books:

Tokyo-ing! - This is an apt word for this bestselling trio of tales chiming with anyone even slightly interested in Asia’s most dynamic metropolis and its glazing of layers – be they cultural or taking-wing exuberant. Madeen does deep dives in three fascinating directions and voices, including the persona in first-person female. Then doesn’t let readers come up for air because they don’t want to -- until the delicious end.

Asian Trail Mix: True Tales From Borneo to Japan, a bestselling travelogue mixes it up on the Asian Trail in a voice that's by turns personal, passionate and ohhhh so very soulful. "So I get up at dawn and marvel at fog burning off into mist tumbling down like the finest mosquito netting of silk. The hills beyond the rivers' confluence, like shoulders of a woman undressing, the way the misty shroud lifts off feminine curves, higher and higher ... I tingle all over, feeling there on Borneo the dream tug of Joseph Conrad's fiction, notably Lord Jim." By turns literarily pathbreaking and intimate, this smorgasbord of travel essays scales down the sprawl of Asia by focusing on the unique and revelatory in gemmy prose. See up close and personal the razzmatazz of novice monks at play in northern Laos, the bonding with hustling pedicab drivers in Ho Chi Minh City, the rainforests blazed on gutsy treks across Borneo and Thailand's Elephant Island and novel things Japanese. Served up nice and spicy, Asian Trail Mix is slathered across 12 rocking-it essays plus a tall tale at its glorious ending, making for a baker's dozen of sumptuousness.

Tennis Clubbed, Snubbed and Rubbity-Dub Dubbed - In historically rich Yokohama, where Captain Perry and his Black Ships cracked open Japan, the wicked shiver of the tennis snub in the postmodern present pits David Adams against K: a puffed-up xenophobic tyrant who rules over the courts of a club that has as its anthem, ironically, the promotion of international friendship.

Award Winning Author Deborah Henderson Announces First Place Honors for Psychological Mystery Novel, Losst: The Indestructible Power of Love

Henderson took first place in The Authors Show® 2024 Book Cover Contest.

Award-winning author Deborah Henderson has announced that her psychological mystery novel, 'Losst: The Indestructible Power of Love', took First Place in The Authors Show® 2024 Book Cover Contest.

Henderson's novel is set apart from many others in the genre by being a story that is both vivid and immersive. It is a profound work that explores human emotions, relationships, love, and loss. It is both heart-wrenching and uplifting.

After the tragic loss of her father and then her mother, Samantha is left with a monster of a man and becomes a prisoner in her own home. At the young age of thirteen, she manages to escape.
With no specific destination, she hitches a ride north. She ends her journey in beautiful Sayward, BC, where she turns the page and creates a beautiful new chapter in her life. As much as she tries, though, the monster relentlessly haunts her in her dreams and nightmares.

Once again cursed by tragedy, Samantha's life takes a tailspin. This time, she loses her grip on reality. In a vengeful attempt to seek justice, she collects her hiking gear and supplies and embarks on an adventure that leads to a painful reality.

She is also the author of 'The Missing Pieces', a thriller that was an Author Academy Award First Prize Winner.

After twenty years in prison, Bobby is granted her freedom. With no recollection of her past and the events that led to her incarceration, she sets off to build a life for herself. Alone in the world, she cautiously tries to integrate back into society.

As she goes about her new daily life, the pieces of her past start exploding around her. Nightmares, flashbacks, and people she meets connect her to fragments of a frightening life before prison. Knowing that Bobby suffers from PTSD, her new friends try to help her put the missing pieces of her life back together.

“I write because it makes me feel better,” Henderson stated. “It's a kind of therapy, I guess. Readers enjoy my books because they realize that they are not alone and that there is hope. We can all find the strength to survive if we dig down deep enough inside ourselves. Do what makes you happy and never give up.”

Deborah Henderson is available for media interviews and can be reached at debhend29@gmail.com.

Both books are available on Amazon in print and eBook form. 'The Missing Pieces' is also available as an audiobook. For more information, visit her website at https://deborahhendersonauthor.com.

Assisted Living: What You Need To Know Before You Make A Decision - How Much Storage Space Will I Have Is An Important Question Says Frances Fuller, Author Of Bestselling Book On Aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old'

Best-selling author Frances Fuller offers an insider's view of assisted living and a unique outlook on aging, based on her own experience. Her insights are penetrating and deal with issues that many seniors and their families are concerned about.

Making the right decisions when deciding on assisted living requires one to consider a huge number of factors - location, essential services available, dining options, recreational facilities, healthcare services - the list seems endless and all of them are important. One question that might not come immediately to mind is "Will there be enough storage?" It's one of the issues that can seem to be relatively unimportant - until you get there.

Frances Fuller, author of the best-selling book on aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old," recently published a blog post titled, "How Much Storage Space Will I Have", in which she addressed this important consideration. In that post she stated in part:

Some questions sound a little trivial but turn out to be very significant. This is one of those.
It is not nice to arrive at your new home and discover there is no space for your favorite chair or your printer. And with such a small closet, what will you do with your out-of-season clothes?

One person realized too late that her closet was enough for her summer clothes, but what about her sweaters and coats and flannel sheets?  She was told that there were storage units one could purchase, a mile or so down the road. Since she had no car and had not counted on this extra expense, that did not sound like a happy solution.  And she had not even yet remembered her manger scene and Christmas tree decorations. Neither had she discovered that her bookshelf was three inches too long for the wall where she needed to put it.

Her predicament illustrates the importance of a measuring tape in your pocket when you are choosing an apartment (rooms look bigger when they are empty) and asking all the petty questions when you are choosing a retirement home. You are trying to choose a place to spend the rest of your life. Regretting your choice will be worse than inconvenient.   If you have a choice, be sure to ask: the relationship between the size of the rooms and the monthly cost of living here, as well as the existence of extra storage.

Most high-end retirement homes have cubicles, one per apartment, for possessions needed or valuable to the owner but not in use at the moment. This cubicle should be accessible and locked, with a key in your possession. Your heavy coats can be there in a bin all summer, along with things like blankets and your little artificial Christmas tree. This doesn’t, however, take the place of an adequate closet. There are homes in which a reasonably priced apartment includes a clothes closet, a pantry for kitchen items, and cupboards in the bathroom for towels, toiletries and items you use at the sink. (Don’t forget to think about a convenient place for extra toilet paper.) And, if you are really lucky, you may get a coat closet near the door.

In 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', Frances provides readers with a closeup view of what it means to age well.

Unable to find a guidebook for aging, Fuller decided that she must figure out for herself how to live wisely through the puzzles and possibilities of aging, and while she learned she wrote. The result is thirty-eight personal essays, most of them resolves, promises she is making to herself and her family. In them she deals with such issues as grief, loneliness, physical limitations, fears, duties, and with the significance of her own life story. Guided always by her Christian faith, she tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice---fresh, honest, irresistible---keep the reader eager for more. Her questions are universal. Her answers create a map through the challenging terrain of old age.

Frances Fuller's book is unique among the many books on aging, because it is personal, while most such books are written from an academic point of view. Most are penned by sociologists, doctors, gerontologists, even the CEO of AARP, and one by a Catholic nun, Joan Chittister. Chittister's book, 'The Gift of Years' is beautifully written, focusing on spiritual values and finding meaning in life. Chittister admits in the preface that she was only 70, which is the front edge of aging, and her book is somewhat abstract.

Atul Gawande’s book, 'On Being Mortal', relates medicine and old age, It enjoys high Amazon rankings, in the category of “the sociology of aging.” It contains a great deal of valuable scientific information and shows understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

Frances Fuller’s book, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.

Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, irresistible — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.

The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”

For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:

Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)

and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.

Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old is truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."

Frances' prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards and has achieved Bestseller status. Frances Fuller was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. It received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.

Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances has shared stories about her life in an interview with Women Over 70, and a recording is available on their Facebook page.
