Author Jennifer Terry Martin Announces New Inspirational Memoir, When Illness Becomes The Teacher

The ebook version of the book will be available at no charge from April 6 though April 7, 2026, at Amazon.

All of us share a common disdain for illness. Pain, fatigue, and discomfort are often results of illness, irrespective of its nature or severity. It interrupts our work, our social life, and our daily responsibilities. It can lead to feelings of isolation, anxiety, or depression. But for Jennifer Terry Martin, a diagnosis of MS became a path back to her true self, her own voice, and her inner wisdom.

Her recently released memoir, When Illness Becomes The Teacher: A Memoir of Mindfulness, Radical Honesty, and Learning to Trust the Body's Wisdom, is a deeply honest memoir about living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), discovering mindfulness, and learning to trust the body's quiet wisdom.

The ebook version of the book will be available at no charge April 6 through April 7 at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jennifer-Martin/author/B0GT65GHTC.

When Jennifer was diagnosed with MS, her life filled with uncertainty, fear, and the pressure to remain strong for everyone around her. Over time, mindfulness became more than a coping tool—it became a path back to her own voice, inner wisdom, and deeper connection with others.

Through personal storytelling and gentle reflection, Jennifer invites readers to:

* Release the pressure to hold everything together
* Honor the body's signals with compassion
* Discover calm and presence even in uncertain moments
* Reconnect with the deeper wisdom already within them

This is not just a story about illness. It is a story about awakening, self-trust, and coming home to yourself.

When Illness Becomes The Teacher is perfect for readers drawn to memoirs of healing, mindfulness, and personal transformation.

"I wrote this book from a deeply personal place, in the hope that sharing my journey might help others feel less alone in their own. Living with illness taught me that healing isn’t always about fixing what’s broken, but about learning to meet ourselves with compassion, presence, and trust. My hope is that readers find comfort in these pages and begin to reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within them. If even one person feels seen or supported because of this book, then it has done what I set out for it to do."

In a recent review, Boyd Varty, author of 'The Lion Tracker's Guide To Life' said, “When Illness Becomes the Teacher is a powerful book for anyone ready to awaken to life’s deeper dimensions of meaning and grace… Full of the courage that only true vulnerability creates, this book is both a work of compassion and a practical map for navigating life’s most formative moments.”

When Illness Becomes the Teacher is available in softcover and ebook form. The ebook version will be available for download at no charge April 6 and 7, 2026 at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jennifer-Martin/author/B0GT65GHTC. Martin is available for media interviews and can be reached through her website. More information is available at her website at https://jennifermartinwellness.com.

Can Hearts Create That Healing Feeling? Couples’ Reconciliations Inspire Healing of Town’s Long-Standing Rift

Bestselling Author Mara Purl has announced the release of a new romance novel, When Hearts Heal, an engrossing and uplifting story with a fresh romance set against the background of some of California’s most iconically beautiful locations.

Can fiction inspire actions in real life? Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art? Best-selling author Mara Purl puts it this way. “Fiction mirrors real life,” she declared. “I’ve been researching life in small coastal towns for many years, noticing trends as they begin to gather momentum. Right now I’m seeing a trend toward healing. People are tired of feeling divided and are looking not for common ground but for higher ground. That’s where reconciliation can happen.”

When Mara Purl wrote the final book in her series, she knew several romantic storylines would finally achieve HEA, or “Happily Ever After,” a key component of the Romance genre. What she didn’t know was that the deep personal hurts that are shown to be healed in the tale would inspire a healing within her fictional town as well.

Mara Purl’s new When Hearts Heal is an engrossing and uplifting story with a fresh romance set against the background of some of California’s most iconically beautiful locations. The couple’s paths cross in their teen years, then ignite in adulthood, sending shockwaves through their families and their business communities. To escape scrutiny they begin to plan romantic getaways in a romantic Avila Beach condo, their relationship heating up and then becoming serious. But when a prior relationship rears its head a devastating argument separates them. She travels to Esalen to meditate and recover; he invites her to Post Ranch Inn to reconcile, and in Big Sur their deeper understanding opens the door to authentic love.

Meanwhile another reconciliation is taking place between two long-standing enemies in the small town of Milford-Haven between two strong leaders. Their respective build versus no-build stances have divided the entire town until the sense of community is nearly lost. That is, until a shocking personal revelation begins to lead to a shared challenge and the possibility of compromise that heals them and their beloved town.

Book Five of her pentalogy makes its debut in print, and on Amazon Kindle, with her new E-book free for three days, October 9, 10, and 11th. The ebook will also be in Kindle Unlimited, a free read for members.

On October 12, Purl and her long-time friends and colleagues will perform scenes from their latest works at Coalesce Bookstore in Morro Bay, California, part of the region where many of their novels are set. “It’s become an annual event that all our readers and followers enjoy so much,” she explained. “The value of writing series is that readers always want the next installment. It adds to the fun”

Colleagues included at the event are Anne R. Allen, a well-known national blogger and author of mystery-comedies; Rolynn Anderson who writes women’s fiction adventures; and Tony Piazza, author of old-time Hollywood mysteries. They’ll be joined by two accomplished professional actors who will also take roles in the performed scenes, Ilona Stone and Chester Perryess.

Purl’s novel series has won more than 75 book awards. When Hearts Heal is part of Purl’s best-selling saga, Milford-Haven, which began as a hit BBC radio drama with 4.5 million listeners in the U.K., and became a multi-award winning book series with 17 million followers in the U.S. The saga is set in California’s scenic Central Coast, where Purl regularly researches her stories and is a frequent speaker.

Trade Reviews:

When Hearts Heal sweeps us back into Milford-Haven, a small coastal town brimming with secrets, passions, and the quiet hope of second chances. I enjoyed how lived-in this world feels. The writing carries a warmth that makes Milford-Haven less like a backdrop and more like a character itself. I found myself pulled into the streets and cafés, listening in on conversations, feeling the salt air press in from the Pacific. What I loved most were the relationships. They’re messy, often painful, yet also full of grace. There is a tangled web of characters and that’s exactly what gives the book its richness. Life isn’t tidy, and neither are these lives. When Hearts Heal left me with the sense of having visited old friends and walked away with a little more compassion for how complicated and beautiful people can be. I’d recommend this book to readers who enjoy stories steeped in community, where character and setting matter as much as plot. It’s for anyone who wants to sink into a small-town saga that doesn’t shy away from heartache but ultimately points toward hope.– Literary Titan

Reviews

“I found this continuation of Mara Purl’s Milford-Haven series to be every bit as captivating and revealing as all the others. The way Purl composes her novels, this series could go on for a long, long time. And true to form, the last chapter is another bit from Samantha Hugo’s journal. Purl uses this journal to tie the story all together and it works well. Another wonderful read.”

Reader comments:

“Mara’s Milford-Haven series goes deep into the life of artist Miranda Jones—her family, her agent, her friends and neighbors in San Francisco and the fictional town of Milford-Haven situated on the Central Coast of California. Intrigue, murder, and betrayal; musicians, murals, and shells; hummingbirds, whales, sea otters; … and an astronomer who shows Miranda how to reach for the stars in life and love.” – Derra Moyers

“I’m immensely enjoying the balance between depicting harmonious home life vs. the pacing of mystery/intrigue and crime elements/hints of danger! I can’t help but notice the through line of kindness and community - not to mention the descriptions of romantic passion stated with such elegance! You’ve managed to approach so many of our modern quandaries of toxic masculinity and male entitlement with an amazingly deft touch!  BRAVA!  I’m ready to move to Milford-Haven this instant!!  – Marilyn Harris

Astronomical Alignment Means Two Hearts Meet

Scientist and artist disrupt families but find true love at last.

Can two people as unalike as an artist and an astronomer create a harmonious romance? With one person living in his head and the other in her heart, where can they find agreement? It all comes down to alignment: a key concept in science, in art, and in life, according to best-selling author Mara Purl.

Whose Hearts Align is an engrossing tale with the most satisfying and romantic storyline of her saga so far. To celebrate autumn and the upcoming holidays, the novel makes its debut in print, and the Amazon Kindle E-book will be free for three days, October 31, November 1 and 2nd.

Award-winning author Mara Purl weaves compelling facts into her story. “This book is the penultimate of the saga,” Purl explained. “Miranda Jones finally marries astronomer Cornelius Smith. But as they marry, emotions roil in Milford-Haven and in her own family. First, her sister has plunged into a serious relationship with Zack Calvin, whom her sister used to date. Shock, betrayal and judgment land on the celebrants from one side of the aisle, while support and encouragement flows from the other side.

As if this weren’t enough of a complication, yet another wedding of an important character is happening on the other side of the country. “Sally O’Mally owns a popular restaurant on Main Street. The man she loved way back in highschool has reappeared, but Sally is pregnant by someone else, a man who left her. Meanwhile, back in the small town where she and Tony went to school, her mama has taken a fall. Sally and Tony go to Arkansas to care for her, but it turns out to be their only chance to marry before Sally’s child is born.

Purl’s latest opus is full of the entertaining twists and turns that’ve made her a best-selling author. “But what I love are the deeper moments of vulnerability,” Mara confessed. “What makes a beautiful, accomplished woman doubt herself? Why does a successful man question his chances at real acceptance for who he is beyond the accolades? Are a person’s chances at risk because of racism or disability? From my perspective every limitation can be overcome if we align with our core values. But that doesn’t make it easy.”

As always, Purl did exhaustive research as she prepared to write this fourth novel. “My studies revealed multiple uses and layers to the concept of alignment: scientific, emotional, psychological, societal, professional. These all brought a new level of awareness, but what brought the story alive was pairing these with lived experiences, my own as well as others’.”

Whose Hearts Align is part of Purl’s best-selling saga, Milford-Haven, which began as a hit BBC radio drama with 4.5 million listeners in the U.K., and became a multi-award winning book series with 17 million followers in the U.S. The saga is set in California’s scenic Central Coast, where Purl regularly researches her stories and is a frequent speaker.

Trade Reviews:
“Whose Hearts Align is another novel in the Milford-Haven series from esteemed writer Mara Purl. [This book] is a people story for those who love people stories – highly recommended.” – Midwest Book Review

“First-time readers need not fear trying this, the fourth volume of author Purl’s BBC Radio drama converted into a series of engaging novels. With plenty of cliffhangers and red herrings to woo them, readers will be captivated by this small-town tale that will leave them ready for more. And although there’s a lot of backstory, as in all soap operas, readers will be drawn in and hooked by the ongoing saga..”
– ForeWord Reviews

“Mara’s Milford-Haven series goes deep into the life of artist Miranda Jones—her family, her agent, her friends and neighbors in San Francisco and the fictional town of Milford-Haven situated on the Central Coast of California. Intrigue, murder, and betrayal; musicians, murals, and shells; hummingbirds, whales, sea otters; … and an astronomer who shows Miranda how to reach for the stars in life and love.” – Derra Moyers

“What a lovely escape I had reading Mara Purl’s new book! As usual, I’m impressed by how she manages to so skillfully interweave all of the threads of her environmental concerns with spiritual insights while spinning this intricate tale. What I noticed most of all is the sophistication and depth of her thoughts about family, pregnancy, childhood and parenthood. But incorporating all of this so adroitly into the Milford-Haven saga is puzzle-creation of the highest order! BRAVA!! – Marilyn Harris

Bestselling Author Ginger Marin Of Bijou Entertainment’s New Children's Science Fiction Book, Monster On Mars, Available At No Charge In Ebook Format July 31 Through August 2, 2024, At Amazon

'Monster On Mars' is a delightful and engaging children's science fiction story, offering a new twist on the hero's journey that the whole family can enjoy.

Bijou Entertainment has announced that their latest kids science fiction story, 'Monster On Mars,' will be available in ebook form at no charge from July 31 through August 2, 2024 in ebook form at Amazon.

As kids, we all had a favorite book. 'Monster on Mars' by bestselling author Ginger Marin of Bijou Entertainment is one of those books that will create a movie in the minds of children. Filled with mayhem and a healthy dose of humor, it is a delightful and engaging children's science fiction story that the whole family can enjoy.

The book follows the unexpected journey of Rolley, a spunky robot from JPL, who becomes an accidental hero on Mars after a series of events sends him rocketing to the Red Planet. Filled with humor, heart, and Martian mayhem, the story takes readers on a mind-bending, thrilling sci-fi ride as Rolley befriends the Goolgians while facing a deeper threat in the form of a legendary predator, Bogswampthing. Along the way, the book explores themes of friendship, bravery, and the unexpected potential within us all.

With a fresh twist on the hero's journey, 'Monster on Mars' is a cosmic adventure that is both fun and inspiring, making it a great addition to any children's library.

In a recent review, Vincent Dublado of Readers Favorite said, “Monsters on Mars succeeds at being two things at once: an enthralling young adult story and a decent and humorous science fiction story. It is a story that feels like a cross between Wall-E and Robots. This is a story with an appeal that is not limited to young readers. It works largely on its action-driven style as well as its evocative settings and characters that make it so astonishing. Moreover, considering that this is a planetary story, anyone can relate as it transcends human barriers. The story has a charming plot, and Ginger Marin involves you in a story with an idea and not just mindless scenarios involving close encounters with aliens. It involves something thoughtful, an idea that is especially stimulating to young readers and amusing for adults.”

NewInBooks called ‘Monster On Mars’, "A thrilling tale that blends humor, heart, and Martian mayhem, celebrating friendship, bravery, and the unexpected potential within us all."

'The Wolves Within' unfolds the tragic descent of Nick Bryant, a brilliant therapist whose innovative subconscious mental conditioning techniques ensnare him in a perilous web of international espionage and intrigue in the volatile 1980s. Recruited by the enigmatic William Kearney, ostensibly for the CIA, Nick's talents become instrumental in manipulating geopolitical events, from high-stakes missions in Morocco's royal corridors to entanglement in the notorious Iran-Contra affair. As he spirals deeper into this shadowy realm, employing his psychological expertise for harrowing ends—orchestrating assassinations, enduring brutal torture in Nicaragua, and extracting classified information—Nick is estranged from his beloved fiancée, Kate, ultimately losing his identity and the life he once cherished.

Ultimately, the book is a compelling exploration of the duality within us all, asking the poignant question: which wolf do you feed? The book’s depiction of Nick's tragic unraveling is both riveting and deeply human, offering a profound commentary on the cost of lost redemption and the price of loyalty. For aficionados of psychological thrillers and spy dramas alike, this spellbinding tale is an absolute best in its genre, blending suspense, intrigue, and emotional depth in a manner that is as gripping as it is unforgettable.

The ebook version of 'The Wolves Within' will be available at no charge June 10 through June 12, 2024, at https://www.amazon.com/Wolves-Within-J-Bartell-ebook/dp/B0CW3PJ237/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.kifEps4Hpb2lwyOLhWr_3lJrxv0N5so88x2GAjOZafLfI6gdK84CmTVxcR1UXHte.qzRBq4V8kLfh3gfsormLItHRaS9wORrzGtcVyglhp6U&qid=1717513378&sr=8-1.

Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow, Renowned For Her Immaculate Approach To Research, Announces New Monastery Murder Mystery Novel - This Time She Is Taking Readers On The Journey With Her

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

Award-winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced a new novel in the Monastery Mystery series, 'A Wind in the Hebrides'. This time she will reveal, in serial form, the stories behind the writing of the book, and the research that serves as the basis. In a recent blog post she announced the project, and stated in part:

"One could say this book has been almost 30 years in the making. I don’t remember exactly when a friend told me about the Hebrides Revival, but I know it was in the 1990s because our daughter, who is now a mother of six, was in high school at the time. I knew instantly, however, that this was a story I wanted to tell.

"I did the initial research in 2001 when my friend Evelyn Bennett and I set out on one of the first planes to leave Boise after 9/11 on the nearly 4,500-mile journey from Boise, Idaho, to Barvas, the Isle of Lewis, via London, Glasgow, Iona, and other stops. It was a wonderful trip that we still recall fondly. No book followed, however, as other projects intervened. At last, the time has come to tell the story.

"From the beginning of my 40-some year career my focus has been telling the history of British Christianity through the medium of mystery and romance novels. For the Monastery Murders my contemporary characters reveal the story through their travels. Father Antony Sherwood, a church history lecturer at a theological college run by monks in Yorkshire, loves to tell the colorful events of England’s saints and heroes of the faith. His impetuous American wife Felicity is the one most likely to learn how events of the past can impact today—especially when the couple are thrown into solving murders.

"A Wind in the Hebrides, book 7 in the series, finds Felicity curbing her rash instincts now that she has their five-year-old son in tow. The challenges to her new circumspection increase when Antony remains behind on the jewel-like Isle of Iona peacefully walking in the footsteps of Saint Columba with a group of students while Felicity and young Teddy go on to the Island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Felicity is on assignment to learn about the Hebrides Awakening, but she is determined to make this a holiday for Teddy and a pleasant break for herself. After all, post-World War II events shouldn’t be that difficult to uncover. And what danger could there possibly be?"

"Well, that remains to be seen—and my plan is to let my followers see it all as Antony and Felicity's story progresses. As the plot unfolds, I will publish a blog every few weeks to give readers peeks at the adventure—literally, as I will include as many photographs from my research trips as I can.

"It is always my goal to tell my stories in a way that takes my readers along with me—and I never write about a place I haven’t been to myself. I am hoping that inviting you along as this story develops will add to the fun.”

Recommended Books For Christmas Gifts By Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow - New Releases, Jane Austen, Kishanda Fulford And More

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

Award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow just released her recommendations for the best books for Christmas gifts. In a post on her site, she stated in part:

It should be easy, shouldn’t it? Everyone knows books make great gifts, so that should be all you need to know for your friend who loves to read. Right?

Wrong. Choosing the right gift for a booklover can be one of the trickiest challenges of the season.

As Oliver Darkshire warns in his delightful book Once Upon a Tome, The Misadventures of a Rare Bookseller: 'Purchasing a book for someone isn’t like running to the shop and picking up a box of decorative soaps, or a bottle of wine. You can’t just take a stab in the dark and hope for the best. In the best-case scenario, a well-chosen book shows just how intimately you know a person, their interests, their politics…their very sense of self. In the worst case, it can show that you barely have any interest in who they are.'

Of course, one concern in choosing a gift for an avid reader is finding a book they haven't already read. Fortunately, I have a new title out this month, so I have a ready offering I know my friends won’t have read yet. 'Going There, Tales from the Riviera and Beyond' even offers a special full-color, hardback gift edition for the special someone who loves to travel, likes mystery stories, and and perhaps just happens to be a Francophile.

Other recommendations offered by Crow:

"For those who love history I also have a special collection of Christmas short stories based on scenes from my various historical series: 'A Lighted Lamp, Scenes of Christmas Through Time.'

"For those who love history and true stories of strong women Kishanda Fulford’s extensively researched book 'The Spite of Fortune', is an account of her husband’s ancestress, the intrepid 18th-Century Heiress Louisa Carolina Colleton.

"And for the Jane Austen lovers on your list, especially those fans of the wonderful Sanditon television series, there is 'Sanditon', as rewritten by Kate Riorden with a foreword by Andrew Davies for the television version."

The full text of the piece with more recommendations is available at Crow's website at https://donnafletchercrow.com/p/507/Christmas-Shopping-for-Booklovers-New-Releases-Jane-Austen-Kishanda-Fulford-and-More.

Crow said in a recent interview, "I love giving books because I know I'm giving so much more than just an object. I'm giving that friend an experience. Books expand our experience, they take us to places we've never been before, or let us revisit favorite locations on the map or in our minds. Books give us valuable information or provide a much-needed distraction. And as has been pointed out before, they are not-fattening. What could possibly make a better gift?"

Read Stirring Stories Of Irish History, In Celebration Of St. Patrick's Day, From Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow

Donna Fletcher Crow’s gripping saga of Celtic history continues with Part II, Ireland: The Pursuit of Peace. Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

According to Wikipedia, St. Patrick's Day is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17, the traditional date of death of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. We've been celebrating St. Patrick's Day for hundreds of years. While traditional celebrations often involved festivals, parades, shamrocks and the wearing of green attire, today we have added to that mix St. Patrick's Day memes, shirts, clipart, online gifs and images, coloring pages and a host of other Internet resources, such as St. Patricks day quotes, recipes and drink concoctions numbering in the hundreds.

While the historical celebrations may seem a bit mundane and modern day festivities a bit too commercial, both are equally important if we are to understand how we arrived at the place in which we stand today, and what all of it means to us now.

In Donna Fletcher Crow's saga of Celtic history, Ireland: The Pursuit of Peace, she presents the full story of times past and present. She uses this unusual frame novel format so she can develop the story in two time periods—historical and modern. In a recent interview Crow explained, “I wanted to give my readers the experience of what it was like to live in significant, history-making times in the past, and I wanted them to understand the impact those long-ago events still have on life today.

“In the Irish epochs of the Celtic Cross series Mary Hamilton, my American heroine has gone to Belfast to work in a reconciliation center in a still-tumultuous time near the end of the Troubles. She is puzzled and appalled by the violence she sees around her, especially as it affects the lives of the young people she is trying to help. In order to gain understanding, Mary looks into the journals of her host’s family—journals he compiled while in prison for paramilitary activities.

“It’s my hope, as it is Mary’s, that through understanding the roots of animosity we can find our way forward to peace for the future.”

Ireland’s story begins with 'The Planting of Ulster, Of Visionaries and Builders'. In 1996, filled with trepidation, Mary agrees to accompany her fiancé Gareth to Belfast to work for peace. But what if those mad Irish start throwing bombs at each other again? In 1610 Lady Montgomery introduces the planting of potatoes to Scots settlers seeking to make a new life, including Calum Lanark, desperate to make a home for his beloved Deirdre.

In 'The Hammering of the Inhabitancy, Of Brothers and Strangers', Mary, struggling to understand the roots of the unimaginable atrocities she sees around her, uncovers accounts of the horrors of Oliver Cromwell in 17th century Ireland. In 1639 the Lanark family is torn apart as the sons march off to war—on opposing sides.

'The Strife of Ascendancy, Of People and Rulers', tells the story of two women: Mary Hamilton’s hopes for helping the Belfast youth crumble as sectarian strife boils into riots in 1996. Likewise, in 1683, desperately ill Janet Lanark agonizes as her husband and son march off to join King Billy at the Battle of the Boyne.

In the soon-to-be-released 'The Shaping of the Union, Of Plots and Parliaments', in 1996 Mary is determined to leave Ireland when the reconciliation center is burgled and her fiancé is injured. Yet, she is drawn by a sense of sisterhood with the valiant women who risked all for Ireland in 1789. Can Mary Ann McCracken save her brother from the scaffold? Can Lenny uncover the insidious spy bent on bringing all their plans for a revived Ireland to ruin, even as she harbors a secret message?

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas - Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow's Timeless Romance Novels Offer Inspiring Reading for Valentine’s Day

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

According to a Wikipedia article, "The Feast of Saint Valentine was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honour of Saint Valentine of Rome, who died on that date in AD 269. The day became associated with romantic love in the 14th and 15th centuries when notions of courtly love flourished, apparently by association with the 'lovebirds' of early spring. In 18th-century England, it grew into an occasion in which couples expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as 'valentines')."

And we've been scrambling to find that one-of-a-kind perfect gift ever since.

Flowers, romantic dinners, candy and cards are appropriate and always delightful, but these gifts are short-lived. This year, we can give a superb gift that can immerse the reader in a romantic experience that can last for many months, if not years.

Where There is Love is a 6-book series of the enduring legacy of love and faith, written by bestselling, award-winning author Donna Fletcher Crow. These are true stories of real people and stirring historic events in England through the 18th and 19th centuries. Society leaders, university dons, famous preachers, celebrated sportsmen, powerful politicians, highwaymen and rogues… Stories told often in their own words as they direct—and are changed by—events of the day.

“Exhaustively researched…Crow’s series is done with great dignity and feeling.” John Mort, Booklist

“A fine novel…Of course, you must have this [series]!” Librarian’s World

“Engrossing reading.” Library Journal

Crow said in a recent interview, “I love telling deeply romantic stories that really happened to people. My Where There is Love Series pictures encounters of the heart that have lived through the centuries as young men and women overcame innumerable obstacles and then went on together to change history in ways that still impact us today.

“My heroes and heroines became living, breathing people to me as I visited their homes, universities, and churches, and read their diaries, letters and biographies so I could tell their stories in a way that would put my readers there, on the spot with them in their struggles and triumphs.”

The 6 book series includes:

Where Love Begins
Can Catherine Perronet find happiness when her beloved Charles Wesley marries another? Catherine undertakes the joys and hardships of a circuit-ride preaching tour to Canterbury where a French invasion threatens, then must face the terrors of the Great London Earthquake before coming to an understanding of the gentle calling God has for her.

Where Love Illumines
Mary Tudway must choose: a life of pleasure amidst London’s high society or a life of faith and service with the devout Rowland Hill? The story moves through the fashionable worlds of London and Bath as the death of one friend, the elopement of another and the startling unveiling of the Highwayman of Hampstead Heath play their parts in illumining Mary’s understanding so she can make a choice of lasting value.

Where Love Triumphs
Charming, brilliant and lame, Sir Brandley Hilliard believes he can do very well without love of any kind in his life—until he meets the captivating Elinor Silbert. Brandley’s search takes a destructive turn until Charles Simeon, Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge, takes the young gownsman under his wing and shows him a life beyond any his academic pursuits had taught him.

Where Love Restores
Granville Ryder’s harsh up-bringing means he must struggle to find his place in his illustrious family, in God’s work, and in Georgiana’s heart. The story moves from Cambridge to the historic Badminton House, to London to Wales, until the terrors of the Cato Street Rebellion (more dangerous than the notorious Guy Fawkes Plot) lead Granville to restoration and love.

Where Love Shines
In Scutari, the charge of the Light Brigade leaves Lt. Richard Grayson blinded and Jennifer Neville, one of Florence Nightengale’s nurses, devastated. Back in London Jennifer throws herself into charity work and is horrified to learn that Richard’s family’s wealth is built on the potteries where children are subjected to unimaginable brutality. The fight for social justice offers a way out of the darkness for both of them.

Where Love Calls
Hilda Beauchamp believes that God guides the life of every believer—and that it is her job to guide God. Kynaston Studd is on fire to carry the love of God to the ends of the earth, but God seems to be calling his friends there instead; and Hilda is horrified to find herself falling in love with the man she had intended for her sister.
