Canadian romantic fiction author Rusty Blackwood's novel has been compared to Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'. The novel presents the story of soul mates whose love spans lifetimes
Canadian Indie author Rusty Blackwood will release a new version of her 'Passion In Paris' novel. The book was originally published in two parts - 'Passion In Paris: Connections To The Past' and 'Passion In Paris: Directions Of The Heart'. The new title, 'Passions In Paris: Revelations Of A Lost Diary', is an updated version of the storyline in a single volume. The book has been compared to Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come', as the love story spans several lifetimes.
"As a writer, and as a woman," reveals Ms. Blackwood when asked why she wrote a story about love spanning several lifetimes, "the expression of love, whether it is expressed in the moment, or recalled from memories dwelling deep within the heart, is the purest form of expression I can write. I've always been a hopeless romantic who believes in love ever-lasting, and that each of us have a soul mate, the reflection of us, the one who holds the other half of our heart, the one we are destined to love for eternity." Rusty continues,"I also believe -- from experience -- that our prior lives can wash into the present, shaping our future, and defining our destiny. With this realization comes much information, among that, who you are meant to be with."
When asked why she is releasing a totally new version of a previously released title, Rusty answers, "I suppose one could call me a perfectionist, and whether that's true or not I do expect the best out of everything I do; my writing, and the publishing of it is no different. Readers who pick up an author's title expect quality within the pages, and a writer who submits their work to a publisher's copy-editor expects that this particular professional will do this job in a proficient manner; with regard to this, the later was not realized. That is the main reason I decided to totally revise it, and because I had decided to do that, it also gave me the chance to express certain areas from a completely different light, perceptive, as well as expression. Each published title carries the author's name, and the work within the book reflects the ability of the one who wrote it. Therefore it must be as good as it can possibly be."
Blackwood is a prolific Indie author of romantic fiction, short story comedies, contemporary and traditional poetry and children's books. Her first love is romantic fiction, but she crosses genres with ease. Her first venture into the competitive world of mainstream fiction was realized in early October 2010 with the release of her debut romance novel, ‘Passion in Paris: Connections to the Past’, the first of two in the ongoing romance/drama. The second part, a romance novel entitled, ‘Passion in Paris: Directions of the Heart’ was released in May 2011. In March of 2012 she released a short story comedy, ‘The Misadventures Of Derwood Tugbottom’. She has also written an eclectic array of Contemporary and Traditional poetry, publishing her first collection in October of 2009 entitled, ‘Feelings: A Rhythmic Journey in Thought’. This title was re-released with additional content in 2011 under the title, ‘Impressions: Poetic Rhythm in Emotion’. ‘Feelings’ was followed in April of 2010 by a collection of assorted short stories for children as well the young at heart entitled ’Young Minds’ which was later re-released with new added content entitled, ‘Through the Eyes of Innocence’.

Cindy Huefner Cromer, Author Of 'Desperate Measures' Chosen As One Of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'
Cromer was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors who appeared on The Authors Show Radio in 2012. In her interview she discusses the release of her debut novel, a mystery suspense novel titled 'Desperate Measures'
Cindy Huefner Cromer, author of 'Desperate Measures', has been chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'. Winners will appear in this year’s edition of the book. Cromer was chosen as the result of her appearance on The Authors Show Radio.
“This has been such an exciting experience for me" Cindy stated, "as leaping into the literary world has been a whole new business to learn. I have always dreamed of writing a book and now my greatest expectations have become a reality with the publication of my debut mystery suspense novel, 'Desperate Measures'. Being selected as one of the '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' has exceeded my aspiration and goals. As a new author in such a competitive industry, I'm thrilled and honored to have achieved this honor and recognition.”
In the story line of 'Desperate Measures', what should have been the perfect vacation soon became a nightmare. Caitlin Martel made a stop before meeting her family at Miami International Airport. A cryptic message waited for her. She dismissed the threat and assumed it was directed toward the brilliant scientist that she recently hired. Caitlin has no idea that a forgotten secret was about to explode and put her life in jeopardy. When Caitlin and her family arrive on the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts, they find their dream home vandalized. In the kitchen, another message has been left. In blood, leaving no doubt that Caitlin personally is the target. In a flashback Caitlin recalls the secret that her father, Jack Spencer, revealed to her sixteen years ago. He didn’t tell her everything. Will Jack be able to confront the truth and reconstruct the past in time to save his daughter? Caitlin’s husband Scott, FBI Assistant Director, also believes the threats are related to Caitlin’s professional life. Once Caitlin points out the significance of what was left in their home, Scott unofficially brings his top FBI agent, Tomas Medina, to St. Kitts. When Tomas arrives, his status is quickly upgraded and the investigation becomes official. The third threat creates a direct link to multi-billionaire Lukas Bucklin. The suspense escalates through twists, turns, and family secrets yet to be revealed. A powerful climax unveils an unlikely alliance between two deadly and dangerous enemies.
"Ever since I was little," Cindy continued, "I’ve been an avid reader. I always said one day I’d write a book, if I ever had the time. My family teased me mercilessly about reading and encouraged me to write a book, since I had read so many. I gave it a shot, started typing away, and created Caitlin, the protagonist. I gave her a career utilizing my scientific and executive background. Since my favorite genre is mystery and suspense, I thought about a story I’d like to read. It didn’t take long for a plot and ending to formulate. In writing this first book I’ve achieved my dream and have continued on with a second book."
Cindy Huefner Cromer is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at thecromers@comcast.net. 'Desperate Measures’ is available at Amazon.com and other online outlets. More information is available at her website, Cindy’s Writing Studio at http://www.cindyhuefnercromer.com.

New Novel By Author Anne Gilbert, 'Mayor Of The Dog Park', Targets Dog Abusers
Though the awareness of dog abuse has increased in recent years, penalties for abuse remain lenient. Award winning author, nationally syndicated columnist and novelist Anne Gilbert hopes to change that
The subject of dog abuse has risen to the forefront of the consciousness of many Americans. How should dog abusers be punished is a question hotly debated by dog lovers. Many believe lenient court sentences aren't punishment enough.
Nationally syndicated columnist (The Antique Detective) Anne Gilberts novel ‘Mayor Of The Dog Park-Dog Abusers Get Theirs’ offers a unique and controversial story line. The novel has six dog-loving vigilantes punishing the abusers the way they punished the dogs. Pretty rough stuff? Debateable since the abuse stories were taken from actual newspaper stories.
Gilbert suggests some legal options such as registering dog abusers the same way sex offenders are registered, as well as having legal representation for the dogs in court.
During a recent interview on The Authors Show, Gilbert noted that "abused dogs are trauma victims in need of loving care."
As the owner of two rescued animals Gilbert has followed documented cases of dog abuse over the years. It was the lenient sentences the abusers got in the courts that inspired the book.
"I hope this will stir up interest in new possibilities for dog justice," Gilbert said.
Anne Gilbert is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at antique2@bellsouth.net. 'Mayor Of The Dog Park - Dog Abusers Get Theirs' is available at Amazon in both paperback and Kindle versions and at Barnes and Noble. More information is available at Gilbert's website at http://www.doggieluvs.com.
About Anne Gilbert:
Gilbert has authored nine books on Antiques and art. She is the antiques columnist for the Palm Beach Post. She was the first woman to self-syndicate an antiques column and to focus on fakes and reproductions. Her feature stories written while antiques editor for the Chicago Daily News are archived in “Outstanding Pioneer Women Journalists of the Midwest” at The Newberry Library, Chicago.

Patty Wiseman, Author Of ‘An Unlikely Arrangement’ Chosen As One Of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'
Wiseman was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors who appeared on The Authors Show Radio in 2012. In her interview she discusses the release of her historical romance novel 'An Unlikely Arrangement'
Patty Wiseman, author of 'An Unlikely Arrangement', has been chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'. Winners will appear in this years edition of the book. Wiseman was chosen as the result of her appearance on The Authors Show Radio.
As a romance novelist, Wiseman has been called a ‘master of the unexpected twist’ who produces contagious storylines. In ‘An Unlikely Arrangement’, three lives intertwine through the differing worlds of high society, middle-class life, and organized crime, culminating in an engagement, a kidnapping, a misunderstanding and a murder. The story is set in 1929 Detroit.
"It is an absolute thrill to 1st be chosen as a finalist and then actually voted by the public to be included in the 2012 top 50 Winners. When I initially interviewed on The Author Show I never dreamed anything like this would ever come of it. To be listed as a winner with such elite company is a highlight for me and my career. What a wonderful experience. Many thanks to The Author Show."
Patty Wiseman is the daughter of a WWII Navy vet who survived Pearl Harbor. She was raised in Washington State, attended The Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, then moved to Northeast Texas where she has resided for over 30 years. Several of her short stories have been published in 'Angie's Diary'. 'An Unlikely Arrangement', an historical romance novel, was published with Desert Coyote Productions. There are two more in the works. One is a romantic comedy. Her most recent award is a 2012 Roughdraft short story contest where she placed 2nd.
“I wrote this book,” continued Ms. Wiseman, “because of my fascination with the era that redefined modern womanhood, The Roaring Twenties. There is mystery, mayhem, and murder - all written in such a way as to keep the reader guessing. My love of this era comes to life with the rebellion of a character based on the true story of a woman who wants to break free of the mold others have established. Her innocence is shattered when she makes a drastic decision that changes the way she sees the world in 1929.”
