Janice Weinheimer, author of 'The Illness That Healed Me', will appear on The Authors Show TV to discuss her latest release. The show will run through December 22, 2011
Janice Weinheimer will be appearing on The Authors Show TV through December 22, 2011, to discuss her latest release 'The Illness That Healed Me'.
'The Illness That Healed Me' is the story of Janice Weinheimer's illness, finding healing paths, recovering lost memories of sexual abuse in her childhood, and learning to deal with all the impact that four major and two minor perpetrators had on her life. It is an account of surviving sexual abuse and how she learned to follow a healing path. And, in following that healing path, she encountered peace.
"I wrote this book," stated Ms. Weinheimer, "because I was guided to from within. I wanted to be a voice for survivors of sexual abuse. My goal was to assist those traumatized by sexual abuse and to encourage them to take on their lives and to do the healing journey. I knew, by following the outlined steps, their lives could be changed forever. They could move out of the lower vibrational energy of constant fear, pain, and ego sabotage and move into the higher, healing vibrational energy of unconditional, divine love. In the journey, they would discover who they really are and that discovery would lead them to their true purpose for being.
Ms. Weinheimer has followed a very long and arduous path to healing. She learned that the healing path does not have a finish line. It is one that she continues to tread and from which she continues to learn. She has discovered healing is a journey rather than an experience. And foremost in that healing is the necessity of forgiving any and all who had caused her any grief and trauma in her life.
“I think readers will benefit from this book,” Weinheimer continued, “because it will direct and empower them past the emotional scars and into an inner realm of spirit and guidance. Fears, anxiety, and threats associated with the ego will be replaced with love, joy, and finally peace of the heart. It will move them from being a victim to taking control of their life’s journey. Anyone – men, women, young or old – will be assisted in climbing to a happier and healthier life – no matter what the issues. It will change the way they look at life and the world. It will bring a new perspective and a new paradigm.”
Ms. Weinheimer's interview will appear on The Authors Show TV version through December 22, 2011. She is available for interview and can be contacted using the information below or by email at puggie37@yahoo.com. 'The Illness That Healed Me' is available at the author’s website, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble online and at most retail outlets.

Christian Author Harel Lawrence To Donate 100% Of Proceeds From Book Sales To Japan Aid Effort
Harel Lawrence’s award winning book, 'Take A Closer Look', is a poetic examination of faith, love and spirituality written to open readers' eyes. He now hopes to open people's eyes to the dire need of the Japanese people
The recent catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan have brought the problems faced by mankind into much sharper focus. Governments, corporations and individuals have responded to these horrific events with offers of billions in aid. Many of us may feel our own small gifts, though well meaning and sincere, may be too small and insignificant in light of the unimaginable amount of assistance required. Harel Lawrence, author of 'Take A Closer Look', believes that no effort is too small. In his opinion, it is the thought that counts. He intends to donate 100% of the profits from his book to World Vision to aid the people of Japan, and he is asking others to do the same.
"I feel that if I can make a difference," stated Mr. Lawrence, "in one persons life and do everything I can to help others, I feel that it is all worth the effort. I also want to do all I can to spread the love and do what ever I can to serve those that are in need. Making the difference and changing the life of others shows my concerns for the families that have lost their loved ones and those that are missing. If I can inspire and encourage others to make a difference and spread the love for others then everything I do is for the right reason. The sacrifices that we make, to give and to share our love for others and not to expect anything in return, is all worth it."
Harel Lawrence’s latest release, 'Take A Closer Look: A Spiritual Journey Into The Soul', serves as a tool for closer examination of love, faith and Christian spirituality.
Mr. Lawrence's poems are not ordinary Christian poems or Christian poetry, but are instead prose poems, which gives the thoughts they contain a more meaningful presentation. These thoughts can be inspiring and can make a wonderful collection for anyone who is searching for the right path and for love in our difficult age. The book contains inspirational and encouraging thoughts for readers of all ages. After each poem, he offers brief interpretations of each poem to help guide readers in their understanding.
“My hope,” continued Mr. Lawrence, “is that each reader will find their own meaning in these poems to help and guide them. And I hope that the glory of God will touch each person's heart and bring the reader as much enjoyment as I experienced when writing these thoughts.”
All profits from the sale of 'Take A Closer Look' from March 22, 2011 to September 30, 2011 will be donated to World Vision. World Vision is "a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice."
The Editor's Choice Award was presented to Harel Lawrence on November 2005 and 2006 for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. This was presented by poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry. Lawrence received the National Poet Laureate through poetry.com for the reviews that he has received for his poems submitted at poetry.com. He also received the International Who's Who in Poetry for some of the poems.
Mr. Lawrence is available for media interview and can be reached using the contact information below. More information is available at his website, or by email at harellawrence@att.net. 'Take a Closer Look: A Spiritual Journey Into The Soul' is available at his website and at most online book outlets. Mr. Lawrence's news feed is available at http://www.hlawrence.com/press-releases_13n.html. All profits from the sale of the book until September 30, 2011 will be donated to World Vision.

Author Jesse Birkey Releases 'Marriage: What's The Point?', One Couple's Story Of Triumph Over Infidelity
Infidelity is all over the newswires today - from Sandra Bullock to Ashlee Simpson, from Tiger Woods to Charlie Sheen - the list goes on and on. If we believe what is presented in the media, infidelity leads directly to the end of relationships. This is not always true however, as Jesse Birkey's new book demonstrates
In the past, infidelity was a subject seldom discussed in public. Recently however we have been bombarded with stories about infidelity - Sandra Bullock, Ashlee Simpson, Tiger Woods and Charlie Sheen. These relationships, and thousands more like them, have ended in breakups due to infidelity. But infidelity need not be the end of a relationship. It can instead be the catalyst that leads to a new, more fulfilling relationship. Jesse Birkey, author of 'Marriage - What's The Point' doesn't just believe this is possible - he has lived through it and he, along with his wife Kara, have proved it.
"Marital tragedy," stated Mr. Birkey, "with total transparency isn't something that is talked about very much. There is an overwhelming amount of hurt and devastation out there in so many marriages. I believe that there is power in a testimony. But if the tragedy isn't talked about with transparency then there can't be a testimony. I wrote this book because of the power in my wife and I's testimony. We believe that this book can bring hope to those who have none and healing to the broken. This book was written while walking a path marked by tragedy, despair, hopelessness, desperation, transformation, reconciliation, and complete Holy Spirit saturation. This is a story of restoration."
'Marriage What's The Point' is the story of a powerful transformation of relationships, initiated by an instance of infidelity. Jesse Birkey married his school sweetheart, made a career as a firefighter/paramedic and had two beautiful children. His life was enviable and he found security in what he had until God allowed his most treasured relationship, his marriage, to be tested. It was this event that caused him to realize he needed a relationship with God. God restored his marriage, but even more importantly started him on a journey of understanding, true love and intimacy. He hopes 'Marriage What's The Point' can serve as an outreach for the hurting and broken and can serve as a message of hope in a world seemingly filled with divorce, failed relationships, broken dreams and broken hearts.
"Our hope for restored marriages rests in our willingness to be individually transformed by God. Our hope is that our story will take the reader past the superficial layers and deep into the depths of who we really are; exposing the pain, wounds and brokenness God desperately wants to heal, transform and restore.”
Jesse and Kara Birkey are available for media interview and can be reached using the information below or by email at jbirkey@marriagewhatsthepoint.com. They have appeared on The Authors Show, 'Home Keepers' with Arthelene Rippy, Michelle Wargo on 'Miracle Monday' and 'My Story Matters' with Angela Schaefers. 'Marriage What's The Point' is available at Birkey's website, Amazon.com and other outlets. More information is available at www.MarriageWhatsThePoint.com.

'Apostle Rising' - Is Richard Godwin The Next Stephen King?
Author Richard Godwin's debut novel, 'Apostle Rising' has drawn comparisons to Stephen King. The book is a dark tale about a psychopathic serial killer who crucifies politicians
Author and playwright Richard Godwin has announced the release of his new dark fiction novel 'Apostle Rising'. The book is a compelling psychological thriller about a psychopathic serial killer who crucifies politicians. Godwin's writing style has been compared to Ken Bruen's and John Connolly's. Godwin himself has been compared to Stephen King.
"Being compared to Stephen King," stated Godwin, "is an honor. That word is often used loosely but not here. 'The Dark Half 'changed my life literally. It is the great Jekyll and Hyde novel, an exploration of a basic split within the human psyche that King manages with genius. I have read all of his works. Time and again he produces works of immeasurable genius with a deftness of approach and a consistency of purpose that places him up there with the likes of Dickens and all the greats. He is also a great short story teller, so having my debut novel 'Apostle Rising' compared to Stephen King's 'Children Of The Corn' by fellow horror writer Jodi Mac Arthur is an honor. Stephen King writes electric prose. Each story and novel is crafted to perfection and contains the quintessential Stephen King kick. They also make you think, they make you think about the motivations in our souls. And that is what I tried to do in writing 'Apostle Rising', as my novel digs deep into the mind of a psychopathic killer."
In 'Apostle Rising', Detective Chief Inspector Frank Castle never caught the Woodlands Killer and it almost destroyed him. Now many years later and still suffering from nightmares, he is faced with a copycat killer with detailed inside knowledge of the original case. Someone is crucifying politicians, and Castle and his partner DI Jacki Stone enter a labyrinth. At its center is the man Castle believes was responsible for the first killings. He’s running a sinister cult and playing mind games with the police. And the ritualistic killer keeps raising the stakes and slipping through their hands. The body count is rising. Castle employs a brilliant psychologist to help him solve the case, and he begins to dig into the killer’s psyche. But some psychopaths are cleverer than others.
"I wrote Apostle Rising," stated Godwin, "for every reader of crime and horror fiction out there. I wrote it for anyone who likes a guessing game. I wrote it for anyone who is interested in why crimes occur, and for anyone who likes a good novel, strong characters, a dramatic story and is interested in psychology."
Jodi MacArthur said that "Apostle Rising is akin to Stephen King's 'Children of the Corn'. Only with noir. Whiskey. Knives. Politicians. And a hell of gore. It is a maze through a psychopath's mind, only you get to solve the puzzle with Detectives Castle and Stone as they try to hold their own personal lives together while the killer(s?) tease and taunt through horrific killings and rituals. My favorite character in the book is poetic, mentally disturbed and has an obsession with King Henry VIII and the first wife whose head he chopped. The ending is a fast paced rollercoaster ride."
Vincent Zandri, author of 'As Catch Can' and 'The Remains' stated that 'Apostle Rising' is a "noir tour-de-force that will leave you breathless and teary-eyed". Scott Phillips, bestselling author of 'The Ice Harvest' said, "Richard Godwin's 'Apostle Rising' is a police procedural and psychological thriller of the first order. If you love Ken Bruen and John Connolly, Godwin's the man you'll be following next." Crime Time Magazine said that "The blood-soaked scenes he describes . . . recall the films of Dario Argento. An arresting and cleverly plotted police procedural married to gothic horror and the aesthetics of the slasher genre Apostle Rising is an unusual and memorable crime story. " Bruce Grossman of Bookgasm said "For a debut crime novel, it makes a great introduction to Godwin’s style and talent for prose. Be on the lookout for hopefully many more."
Mr. Godwin is available for media interview and can be reached using the information below or by email at stanzazone@gmail.com. A recent radio interview on The Authors Show is available at his website. The book trailer for Apostle Rising can be viewed at YouTube.com. More information is available at the site at www.RichardGodwin.net.

Edward Fairley Releases 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ' - Sensible Relationship Advice For Real People
Relationship advice has always been a popular topic worldwide. From 'Dear Abby' to Dr. Phil, there has never been a shortage of relationship advice. But in a world dominated by online relationship services, social sites, reality television and media megastars, practical advice is often very difficult to come by. Edward Fairley believes the time has come for real world, sensible relationship advice that makes sense for real people who live in the modern world
Edward L. Fairley has released 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ'. Fairley's book is aimed at providing sensible relationship advice for real people in a world dominated by online dating services and social media. Fairley's approach is very different from the 'he said/she said', male/female advice given in years gone by.
Fairley does not believe people are statistics, nor are they members of scientific groups. Fairley's approach also holds out that the emphasis on male and female gender needs actually exacerbates relationship difficulties. Rather than rehash all the typical advice for couples, Fairley instead offers some twists on conventional thinking that provide readers with down-to-earth information that is outside the boundaries of conventional relationship advice. Fairley's use of language and example allows him to simplify the complex dynamics of love, romance, and marriage. The result is practical, real world advice that is both enlightening and engaging.
"My relationship counsel," stated Mr. Fairley, "is built on the foundation of teaching the reader to communicate in a manner that helps them to understand their mate, not their 'male' or 'female' partner. Some writers base their counsel on studies and scientific theories. They conclude from these statistics that, due to a high percentage of a certain gender responding to situations in a certain way or sharing the same patterns, that the entire gender is one way and vice versa for the other gender. This is ridiculous, as people then make decisions based on assumptions about their partner offered by a book based on statistics. It's no wonder so many relationships experience difficulty. My book isn’t based on taking the studies and statistics of other people's work and massaging it to make it my own. It is based rather on how one person relates to another person."
Fairley's lack of emphasis on male/female gender role playing lies at the heart of his message. Rather than using an 'us vs them' mentality, his approach emphasizes that every person is precisely that - a person. His message resonates with those who have grown up with computer technology and cell phone usage. His counsel is particularly appropriate for young people, but is equally relevant for anyone who might be pursuing, or is already in, a committed relationship.
"I don't want to be Dear Abby or Dr. Phil," stated Mr. Fairley, "in fact, I hope to do just the opposite. Advice with a mass appeal does not mean much in a relationship created by two individuals. Each must find his or her own way. Every relationship is unique and one of a kind. There is no 'one size fits all' solution to relationship challenges."
Edward Fairley is available for media interview and speaking engagements. He can be contacted using the information below or by email at imwilling2investnu@gmail.com. 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ' is available at his website or at online book retailer sites. More information, including excerpts of the book, are available at his website.

Author Rob Rideout Offers Words Of Advice To Sheen, Lohan And Others Who Struggle With Substance Abuse
Nearly every day celebrities with substance abuse problems make national news. Musician and author Rob Rideout understands the substance abuse problems celebrities such as Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan face. While in prison for his sixth DUI, he finally found sobriety and redemption. During his stay in prison he detailed his story in his recently released book, 'Still Singing, Somehow'
Musician and author Rob Rideout understands the substance abuse problems celebrities like Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan face. He's been there and he's done that - he too crashed and burned. Yet, while in prison for DUI, he found sobriety and redemption. During his stay in prison he detailed his story in his recently released book, 'Still Singing, Somehow'.
"Still Singing, Somehow," stated Mr. Rideout, "shows the inner workings of the alcoholic mind. The reader is given a truer picture of 'A Million Little Pieces' combined with a dose of Don Juan, Paramahansa Yogananda and Ram Dass, 'A Course in Miracles' and 'Eat, Pray, Love'. This story of this musician’s path to recovery will make the reader laugh, cry and maybe even angry at times. It will definitely touch the emotions."
After surviving a near fatal accident, Rideout quit drinking for a short time period and then received his first DUI after a college Christmas party. The second DUI occurred in Arizona after returning from India three years later. En route to that trial, he got number 3, entering the court room dressed in jailhouse orange. After serving 90 days for the first two DUI's, he received the fourth DUI an hour after release from prison. A year later, came number 5, resulting in the revocation of his drivers license for 4 years. Then, while driving without a license, he received DUI number 6. Prison was the next stop. During his time there, he found what it was he had been seeking.
"Both counselors and patients alike," continued Rideout, "involved in any form of rehab or recovery, could greatly benefit from reading 'Still Singing, Somehow'. It's an honest, heart-felt odyssey of one soul’s karma. It graphically details how I faced my problems with alcohol and abandonment issues, and the bizarre life I created, head on in prison, finally finding the self-forgiveness necessary to really change my life around for the better. The ray of hope generated, plus a new way of seeing things, puts 'Still Singing, Somehow' in a class of its own and should be of special interest for anyone seeking spiritual answers and understanding for the life they’ve created."
Rob Rideout is available for media interview and can be reached using the information below or by email at robertrideout1@hotmail.com. He recently appeared on The Authors Show radio. The interview, excerpts and a collection of pictures are available at his website. 'Still Singing, Somehow' is available at the website, at Amazon.com, CreateSpace, Barnes and Noble, Powells and at Google Books.

Politicians Crucified By Serial Killer - Award Winning Author Richard Godwin Releases 'Apostle Rising'
In light of today's headlines, the idea of politicians being crucified may not be such a stretch of the imagination. Author and playwright Richard Godwin has announced the release of his new dark fiction novel 'Apostle Rising'. The book is a compelling psychological thriller about a psychopathic serial killer who crucifies politicians. Godwin's writing style has been compared to Ken Bruen and John Connolly.

If you love Ken Bruen and John Connolly, Godwin's the man you'll be following next."

Final Solution To The Never Ending Diet Syndrome Offered By Dr. Charles Glassman, 'Coach MD'
Dr. Charles Glassman, one of the country's most respected and well known medical doctors, is offering a final solution to the never ending diet syndrome. He presents his approach in his new ebook, Destiny Diet - and he is giving it away
It goes without saying that obesity has reached epidemic proportions in Western society. Nearly everyone is on a diet it seems. And then off we go - on and off, the syndrome is never ending. Myriad choices are offered to dieters, everything from The Paleo Diet, The Atkins Diet, Sugar Busters, The South Beach Diet, The Fat Flush Plan - the list goes on and on, numbering in the hundreds if not thousands. All of these weight loss diets work for some people. But for other people, none of them work. For most people dieting works for a time, but then the weight comes right back on. The question becomes - why? Why do some succeed, while others fail? Dr. Charles Glassman believes the key factor that causes success and also failure are one and the same. What is the key factor?
Our primitive automatic brain.
Dr. Glassman presents his solution in his new book, 'Destiny Diet'. And he is giving it away.
"Destiny Diet," stated Dr. Glassman, "is a culmination of years of observation, practice, and winning strategies. To go on a diet is usually viewed by individuals as a punishment with the ultimate reward being going off the diet. For one to choose their destiny, control of self is vital. Empowering one’s self to be in control of that switch is my ultimate goal. I have not developed this plan for people to fail. If I were the author of any of the other popular best selling diet books, I would not be satisfied knowing that the vast majority of the purchasers will ultimately return back to whence they came. 'Destiny Diet' delivers the structure that fosters belief and cultivates lifelong change."
Dr. Glassman takes an all encompassing, holistic view of healthcare. Known as 'Coach MD', his role is to serve as a personal guide to total wellness. He effectively guides his clients through the maze of medical choices available today. He believes that total wellness is so much more than taking pills to mask symptoms. Mind, body and spirit must work as one unit. There must be balance. Beyond diagnosis and medical treatment, total wellness also encompasses emotional factors, spirituality, meditation, diet, alternative therapies, relaxation techniques, positive thinking - the list goes on and on. Giving away his new book, 'Destiny Diet', offers the first step on the path to that state of total wellness.
Dr. Glassman is available for media interview and can be reached using the information below or by email at cgwellness@gmail.com. More information, including the Destiny Diet download, is available in pdf form at his website.
Charles F. Glassman, MD, FACP, has practiced general internal medicine, for over 20 years, in Rockland County, NY, a suburban community 30 miles north of New York City, designing his practice to be patient-centered instead of problem-focused. Dr. Glassman specializes in personalized, patient focused care, with an emphasis on wellness and prevention.
Dr. Glassman has appeared on ABC news, Bloomberg Radio, National Public Radio, Sirius/XM, Hay House Radio with Wayne Dyer, The Wall Street Journal Radio, and numerous other affiliates around the country speaking on his unique approach to health care. Dr. Glassman’s numerous articles and letters on health care have appeared in The New York Times and other publications.
As a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and Life Extension Foundation member, Dr. Glassman approaches medicine in an integrative manner, looking carefully at all traditionally approved methods while recognizing the power of unconventional therapies. Never sacrificing doing what is right for majority opinion, he strongly believes that his patients cannot afford to wait for mainstream medicine to endorse present cutting edge medical technology that may greatly enhance and even extend life. He is excited to bring the same level of competence and open-mindedness to his new service, Coach MD.
Dr. Glassman is the founder of the New York Center for Longevity and Wellness. Dr. Glassman has been featured in many local publications, notably the regional Hudson Valley Magazine, which has repeatedly named him one of the top doctors in the Hudson Valley (spanning an area from Albany to New York City). In addition to appearing as the subject of feature-length articles, Dr. Glassman has been named by Castle Connolly as a New York Metro Top Doctor for five consecutive years and has been recognized by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of America’s top physicians. He has also earned the Patient’s Choice Award in 2008 and 2009 for outstanding patient satisfaction.

Norway Is The New Scotland - Award Winning Historical Romance Author Kris Tualla Announces March 2011 Events
Kris Tualla is the best selling author of the Hansen family trilogy of historical romance novels. The series features the fictional Hansen family of Arendal, Norway. Tualla believes it is time for a new breed of historical romance hero and puts forth the idea that Norway is the new Scotland
Kris Tualla, award winning author of the Hansen series of historical romance novels, has announced her March 2011 schedule of events.
In the historical romance genre, Scotland has always held the upper hand in regards to popular story lines. For many years, novels featuring Scottish themes have been devoured by the reading public. One writer, Kris Tualla, feels that this popular theme has been overwritten and is offering something new, fresh and exciting to the loyal readers of historical romance.
"In the historical romance genre," stated Tualla, "there have been literally countless kilted warrior stories. I believe it's time for a new breed of heroes. I ask readers to come along with me and find out why Norway IS the new Scotland."
All of the primary characters in Tualla's books are members of the fictional Hansen family of Arendal, Norway. The trilogy begins in the Missouri Territory, moves to Norway, and then back again to Missouri after it has attained statehood. The saga of the Hansen family often features older characters and rich story lines.
"When I fall in love with a book's characters," Tualla continued, "I hate for that book to end. So I chose to write a series of books where all the heroes (and one heroine) are members of the same fictional family - the Hansens of Arendal, Norway. Different generations, different continents, but sharing the strength of their Viking ancestors."
Kris Tualla is walking both the traditional path, and the independent print and ebook paths. She will speak about the four publishing choices all authors face today: what each of those paths offers, what they require, and how to know what is best for any writer's career.
Kris Tualla's March 2011 events include:

Bill Nerin, Author of 'A Couple Faces Death', Offers Real Hope For Widows And Widowers Who Deal With Grief
There are many who offer advice and tips for dealing with the death of a loved one. Tips and advice fall flat in the face of overwhelming loss. Bill Nerin is a family counselor and author who opened his journey through grief to the world in his latest book 'A Couple Faces Death: My Life After Anne', and demonstrates that there is hope for those who grieve
Loss of a loved one is never a question of 'if' - it is instead a question of 'when'. Death and dying, bereavement and grief are faced by all human beings. That is little comfort for those left behind to grieve. In 'A Couple Faces Death: My Life After Anne', author Bill Nerin does more than offer advice and platitudes - he instead shows us that events such as these can start us on the road to turning loss into love.
"From the day we discovered the melanoma in Anne," stated Nerin, "I returned to my journal writing. I shared some of my entries with close friends. They said, 'Bill, you have got to write a book. This is so helpful to us in thinking about our own dying.' I had no thought about writing a book, but if my friends got so much, perhaps a book could help others. And that is my purpose; that some may benefit by reading the book."
There are many fallacies surrounding the death of a spouse. The need to grieve in solitude, the sense of overwhelming loss - even the belief that widows grieve more than widowers. In 'A Couple Faces Death', Nerin shatters many of these widely held misconceptions. His journal entries demonstrate that we can turn loss into love.
"One of the greatest things we can come to discover," continued Mr. Nerin, "is how, in the very process of losing life, we can achieve a loving that is beyond anything previously experienced. It may lessen our fear of death and the grieving thereafter. Our journey shows how being open, discussing and accepting death as part of life can lead to greater wisdom and peace in the very midst of the sadness. Revealing my feelings, doubts, puzzles and thoughts by sharing my journal entries, will show that men grieve just as intensely as women, and can be open about it to their benefit. There are many concrete ideas that one may want to incorporate in their lives in preparing for death and what follows; for example the imaginative way Anne decided to say her goodbyes to her sons, brother and sister."
Mr. Nerin was recently interviewed on The Authors Show radio. The interview is available on his website. Mr. Nerin is available for speaking engagements and for media interview. He can be contacted using the information below. A Couple Faces Death: My Life After Anne' is available at his website and at Amazon.com. The book includes a DVD of Anne speaking to college students about preparing for her death.

Have We Lost Our Children To Technology?
Today many parents and grandparents feel completely out of touch with the younger generations. Parent and grandparents are responsible for passing on core values and life experiences to their children and grandchildren. This is very difficult in the modern age of cellphone and computer technology. One company is taking dramatic steps to help assure those values are not lost and is using technology to help parent and grandparents connect with children
Cellphones, texting, DVD's and computer games have become a way of life for most young people. For many children exposure to such technology now starts at the elementary grade levels - perhaps even earlier. Not surprisingly many people blame the current rash of school violence, bullying, child suicides, dropout rates, attention deficit disorders and the loss of traditional values squarely on this technology and all it brings with it. Unfortunately many parents and grandparents feel left out and left behind, unable to connect in a meaningful way with young people. Many parents and grandparents watch helplessly while others simply throw up their hands, unable to understand what is going on.
Bedtime stories, fairy tales and books were once core activities in regards to connecting with children, but much of that precious one-on-one communication has been lost as technology has taken center stage. Trenna Daniells believes that technology can instead actually enhance communication. Ms. Daniells, CEO of One To Grow On Audio Series, has created a full line of tools that will allow parents and grandparents to reconnect with their children and grandchildren in a meaningful way and will serve as door-openers to discussions about those core values and issues.
"I know I don’t stand alone," stated Ms. Daniells, "in the outlook that our children are losing touch with the core values of their parents and grandparents. Unfortunately many of the values that children are formulating today are not providing them with the foundation they need to become functioning, well-adjusted, responsibly independent adults. As parents and grandparents we need to actively instill good values and promote strong family bonds. I think we all remember the wonder, magic and value of bedtime stories. By sharing stories in which characters survive and prosper while facing adversity and challenges, it helps children to understand that they will survive too. By sharing these stories in a format in which children have a natural affinity, we not only open the channel of communication and reconnect, we allow young minds to engage their creative imaginations! Sounds like a good old fashioned storybook to me."
These award winning bedtimes stories form a series of highly entertaining adventures, filled with engaging music and sound effects, that help children cope with growing up. The ideals and values imparted are time-tested, and the stories are delivered in a way that children get the message.
"As our lifestyles change," she continued, "and more families have both parents working outside the home, grandparents are more actively involved in rearing grand kids. It becomes incredibly important to reinforce and reestablish strong family ties. We must approach our child-rearing with a new and different spirit. We must create a family atmosphere that doesn’t center on passive activities such as watching videos, TV and playing video games. I can’t overly stress the importance of building this kind of foundation and it is never too early or too late to start. Stories open a door of communication where children are more comfortable to talk about situations in which they are having difficulty coping. Audio stories open that magical world where we can realize we all create our own life's story."
The One To Grow On Audio Series has won numerous awards and has been recognized by some of the country's most prestigious childrens organizations. The series was awarded the Seal of Approval by the National Parenting Center. Creative Child Magazine gave the series the 2010 CD of the Year award. The series was named among the best in family-friendly media, products and serves by the Mom's Choice Awards. 'Exercising Good Relationships' received Dr. Toy's Best Children's Vacation Products Award in 2010.

Drugs, Alcohol Abuse And Rock And Roll - 'Still Singing Somehow', Is A Soaring Spiritual Odyssey
Talent, fame and substance abuse seem to go hand in hand. Hundreds of celebrities, from Steven Tyler to Dave Mustaine, from Lindsay Lohan to Charlie Sheen, have struggled with these potentially life destroying problems. Rob Rideout, author of 'Still Singing, Somehow' offers a graphic insider's account of that struggle but demonstrates that these can instead lead one to spiritual awakening
Rob Rideout has released 'Still Singing, Somehow'. In the book Rideout, a 60's hippie musician, travels through Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Fiji Islands on a spiritual search that ultimately forces him to face prison, his addictions, recovery and beyond - all written with a hip sense of humor and the heart-wrenching self-honesty reminiscent of John Lennon and George Harrison.
'Still Singing, Somehow' defies description. It has, within a single work, commonalities with Elizabeth Gilbert’s 'Eat, Pray, Love', James Frey’s 'A Million Little Pieces', Castaneda’s Don Juan books, Ram Dass’s 'Be Here Now' and Paramahansa Yogananda’s 'Autobiography of a Yogi'. It is, when all is said and done, a journey of self-forgiveness like no other.
"This book," stated Rideout, "was inspired while in prison. I wanted my son, long estranged due to divorce, to know the entire story; the why and the how that brought me to this place. In the process of writing, I discovered that I was really writing it for myself-to purge and forgive myself for the life I created."
The book is a raw look at the crazed world of 60's; a bizarre mixture of rock and roll, substance abuse and spiritual seeking. Rideout's story is a roller coaster ride through this world. He was a spiritual seeker, a hippie, a seasoned world traveler and a prison inmate. The journey brings him full circle and ends with him finding at last what many of us seek - fulfillment and self forgiveness.
"I think readers will enjoy this book," continued Rideout, "because of its ability to touch ones emotions in a very real and honest way. It will make you laugh, cry and maybe even angry at times. This book is stranger than fiction and takes the reader beyond their imagination to faraway places and bizarre situations."
Rob Rideout is available for media interview and can be reached using the information below. He recently appeared on The Authors Show radio. The interview, excerpts and a collection of pictures are available at his website. 'Still Singing, Somehow' is available at the website, at Amazon.com, CreateSpace, Barnes and Noble, Powells and at Google Books.
