One of the oldest and most crucial questions ever asked is addressed in Fleury's flagship work.
What is man? What is the nature of mankind's existence? What is the purpose of existence - the meaning of life? Ask a member of the clergy and you will likely get clear and concise answers to those questions. Ask a medical professional and you will get very different answers. Ask a psychologist. Look it up in the dictionary. Google it. Soon you will realize that, while there are many ideas that seem on first glance make sense, any answers offered will likely be colored by a specific perspective and will be, at best, nothing more than guesses.
Who can definitively answer those questions? Wisdom would dictate that we begin by asking philosophers. Though they too have widely differing opinions, by analyzing their answers and applying common sense, we might at last be able to determine what we are and what our role in the universe might be.
Award winning author Bernard Fleury has done just that in 'What Is Man? Male and Female'. In that book he presents points of view from 5 leading philosophers - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Martin Buber, Jean- Paul Sartre, Burrhus F. Skinner and John Dewey.
What Is Man Male And Female' answers three very important questions:
What does it mean to be human? Each of the philosophers presented in this book represents a major view regarding the meaning attached to "Man".
Who or what is it that we are attempting to define, teach, or develop therapies for? Each of these views undergirds educational priorities , concepts of parenting, and therapies for sociologists, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
"What role does the Inner and Outer Light play in each philosopher’s view?" asks Fleury. "If the Inner and Outer Lights are an integral part of our universe as I state in the entire Light Series, then the Philosophers of "Man" that include both the Inner and Outer Light best represent the universe as it is."
The scope of What is Man? Male and Female includes the interests of Parents in their parenting, Sociologists, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists as well as pre and in-service teachers and other education administration personnel. All of these professions have “Man” as their subject so it is critical to their practices how they view the “human.” Who or what is it that they are attempting to define, teach, or develop therapies for?
Readers and reviewers have lauded 'What is Man?':
"Professor Fleury,Ed.D. has done a masterly piece of groundwork. He generously offers the results of his own life’s quest to those who are willing to make the effort to study his work to find meaning for themselves, others, and for our cultural-evolution." - Ruth McGoldrick, SP, MRE Adult Educator and Spiritual Director
"Dr. Fleury has done a great service for educators, parents, and all concerned with raising and educating children in today's world. He has invited those so involved top perform that most elemental and human of efforts, namely to reflect for themselves on what motivates them to journey with young people toward maturity. By sampling the thoughts of five men (deChardin, Buber, Dewey, Sartre, and Skinner) each of whom in his own way has greatly influenced the pedagogical process, Dr. Fleury teases out both the similarities and dramatic differences which inform these schools of thought." - Rev. Richard A Bondi
"Bernard J Fleury is a gifted and knowledgeable thinker whose work will provoke discussion in the areas of psychology, philosophy, and parenting. . . I loved the references to prominent thinkers, theologians and philosophers who have articulated on the meaning of the human person, including Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Martin Buber,Jean- Paul Sartre, Burrhus F. Skinner, and many more. Here is a book that offers insights and opens portals to powerful truths about being human. In What is Man? Male and Female, the author offers answers and encourages readers to think about their personhood from a completely fresh perspective. It is filled with light and wisdom.” - Divine Zape
"This was a superb work, and the best I have read by this author so far, especially due to its minimal approach of opinion and scholarly presentation of human philosophy. The thinkers which are presented are diverse and well considered for their part in the development of defining what it means to be human, and we can use this to view our place in the world as well as that of others. Genuinely accessible, thanks to Fleury’s clear and concise transcriptions and translations of what each complex theory has to offer, this bite-sized edition of philosophical thinking certainly packs a punch, and could be read, discussed and appreciated again and again." - K.C. Finn
"The book discusses the interpretations of the five major philosophers – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Martin Buber, John Dewey, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Burrhus F. Skinner – regarding the meaning to be attached to ‘Man’. The interpretations of these five philosophers have been divided into five sections in the book. Their views are helpful when it comes to deciphering and defining who we actually are, and the nature of human growth and development. The question of what is man is actually a very fundamental one, and the book gives a lot of insights that will enable readers to understand the concept and the people around them in a way so they are helpful to each other and can move forward in dignity and respect." - Mamta Madhavan
Nearly all of Bernard's books center squarely on the theme of Light as a Someone and a Something. He believes we are all Called Into Life By The Light. Life and Light are tied together. Life light describes their relationship best because both our “without” (our physical being) and our “within” (our spirit) are 1b.asically light in two different forms:
Physical energy that occupies space, has weight, can be measured, and
Psychic or spiritual energy which is a force that causes things to happen and thus, real energy, but it does not occupy space have weight, nor can it be measured.
Fleury's 'Light' book series has received numerous 5-star rated reviews. He was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. That honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Top Motivational Speaker Rocky Romanella Offers Tips On How To Turn Adversity Into Opportunity During Coronavirus Crisis
An inspirational keynote speaker and trainer, Romanella is founder and principal of 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. He has over 40 years of leadership at Fortune 100's. His approach to leadership can be a game changer for anyone who serves in a leadership role.
All of us are leaders in some way, whether it be in the boardroom, the classroom or our own living rooms. While we tend to think of leadership as something to unique to business, government or perhaps sports, in fact teachers, parents and family members serve a leadership role in the classroom or at home.
The coronavirus lockdown and all that goes with it has created problems for all of us on a scale many of us have never experienced. While we cannot control the situation, we can control our reactions to the situation. As Rocky stated in a recent newsletter, "Being positive in a negative situation is not naive - it's leadership." We can turn adversity into opportunity by changing our reaction to the situation. Rocky recently offered a number of tips on how we can use the extra time and changes in our daily routine to move forward with confidence and come out the other side as better leaders.
"During these difficult times, thoughtful and considerate leadership will define our character as a world community and as individuals," Romanella stated. "It starts with each of us and the Simple Acts of Kindness we display to one another. My thoughts and prayers to all those directly affected and to all of us as we manage through these difficult times."
Rocky offers the following tips:
We often talk about business, as we do sports, as a team sport. We are learning through these difficult times something we have always known to be true but maybe we have never articulated in this fashion. That LIFE and LIVING TOGETHER as a family, a community, a country and as global citizens is also a TEAM SPORT. We are all individuals contributing our skills and performing tasks such as social distancing, frequent washing of our hands for the good of the team. We all will become healthier and move past these difficult times in our lives, when we win together as a team. Let’s be great teammates!
Go Above and Beyond - Our success through these difficult times will depend on our willingness to perform the measures and tasks our leadership and health care professionals have asked us to perform.
Two important keys to our success in these difficult times; Let’s keep doing the things we are doing well; Correct the things and behaviors we are not doing well, or we are out of compliance in.
Play by the Rules - Rules exist for a reason, whether at work, in sports, on the road and especially during difficult times to avoid chaos. Without rules things become chaotic and potentially dangerous. Rules provide stability and guidance and provide the framework for our actions. We all need to play by the rules during these difficult times.
Commit Yourself to Safety - Safety at work and in ourselves should never be compromised. Totally commit yourself and your families to all safety practices. Understand all the safety recommendations during these difficult times.
Be a considerate co-inhabitant. Our homes, our communities and our country are a shared environment, a shared space. Let’s be considerate of each in our shared space.
Two of the most important words in any language are THANK YOU. Let’s add three more, HOW ARE YOU?
Your Extra Effort can have more impact than you think.
Extra Effort makes for Better Results
Better Results make for a Healthier Country
A Healthier Country makes for a better America
A Healthier Country makes for healthier Families
Healthier families make for prosperous communities
Healthy, prosperous communities make for a healthy and prosperous America
Our common denominator is we are all Americans, a caring country.
How do we fill up the extra time some of us now have? Use the time for self-improvement at every level. Rocky offers a number of resources on his website including his 5-star rated book on leadership, 'Tighten The Lug Nuts, The Principles of Balanced Leadership', over 75 podcasts covering every aspect of business leadership and an entire library of videos searchable by topic. Internationally, he has presented keynotes in Toronto, Mexico City, Milan, London, and Krakow. He is known for creating excitement through his energy, passion and knowledge, while employing his talents and experience to motivate, inspire and entertain audiences, regardless of size.

Donna Fletcher Crow, Award Winning Novelist Of British History, Announces Release Of Historical Novel, Where Love Calls, With A Covid-19 Type Episode In China Over 100 Years Ago As Background
Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history.
Award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced the re-release of ‘Where Love Calls,’ book 6 in her Where There is Love series. Coincidentally the story line of the novel depicts events eerily similar to the current Covid-19 epidemic that occurred in China in 1880.
Disease rages in China, but missionary Harold Schofield never ceases his work or his prayers for God to send more workers to that land. In England, Kynaston Studd is the first within his circle of wealthy, popular athletes and university men to set his heart on going to China. But God seems to be calling his friends there instead of him. Meanwhile, Hilda Beauchamp is horrified to find herself falling in love with the man she had intended for her sister. The Cambridge Seven changed the world; but first, they had to let God change them.
Release of this book completes the re-release of the entire Where There Is Love series – the first time in print in over 20 years. The series centers on the enduring legacy of love and faith and features powerful stories of real people and stirring events inspiring readers anew today. The Where There Is Love series is Crow’s first and most successful series. Since 1986 it has been published in 6 editions, under various titles, in 5 formats and welcomed with enthusiasm by readers around the world.
In a recent blog post on her website entitled “China Burning,” Crow offers an extensive sample from the book that describes the situation in China during those years. This sample, found at https://donnafletchercrow.com/p/398/China-Burning, underscores Crow’s unparalleled ability to transport readers to other times and places through her use of descriptive prose and rich, granular detail.
In introducing that post she states, “While our world is in the grip of the Covid-19 virus, it’s instructive to ponder how history repeats itself. And how Good ultimately triumphs. Here, lifted from the pages of my newly re-released ‘Where Love Calls’, book 6 in the Where There is Love Series, we have scenes from China, 1880-1883, as another contagious epidemic rages. Yet, God brings glory from it.”
Crow further says, “This is just one more example of what I love about writing history—it is always up-to-date. Whether providing an object lesson or a mirror for our time, I’m always actually writing about now. I have learned that whatever we are going through at the moment, it has always been darker before—and we have always triumphed.”
The six books in the Where There Is Love series feature a significant number of historic people and events from the 18th and 19th centuries:
Where Love Begins: John and Charles Wesley, George Whitefield, William Law and the Countess of Huntingdon
Where Love Illumines: Charles Wesley, John Berridge, Rowland Hill and the Countess of Huntingdon.
Where Love Triumphs: Charles Simeon and Robert Hall.
Where Love Restores: Charles Simeon, William Wilberforce, the Earl of Harrowby and Dudley Ryder,
Where Love Shines: Florence Nightingale, Lord Shaftesbury and Charles Spurgeon.
Where Love Calls: Dwight L. Moody, Ira Sankey, Harold Schofield, The Cambridge Seven (including C.T. Studd) and Hudson Taylor.
Readers and reviewers alike have given the series high praise:

[R]eflects the author’s love for English literature and English history . . . enjoyable and dramatic. ~ B. W., Bookstore Journal
[Crow] combines extensive research with her lifetime love of English literature and history. Readers who enjoy historical fiction will want to add this book to their collections. ~ Z.L., Bookstore Journal
The author has skillfully blended true historical accounts to bring to life real persons in the context of their struggle to learn and live the true Christian faith. Your library should have all the series. ~ MB, Librarian’s World
This series is a compliment to the historical fiction genre.~ Living Streams
Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 50 books, mostly novels of British history. She has taken a number of high-level industry awards for her work. 'Glastonbury' is her best-known book, which received the prestigious First Place, Historical Novel, award from the National Federation of Press Women. Readers and reviewers have raved about 'Glastonbury', calling it "The best of its kind," "richly fascinating," "beautifully researched," "gloriously evocative," and "panoramic." One Amazon reader said, "WHAT a work! Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."
The Monastery Murders Series features atmospheric contemporary crimes with their roots buried deep in the middle ages. Books in the series include 'A Very Private Grave', 'A Darkly Hidden Truth', 'An Unholy Communion', 'A Newly Crimsoned Reliquary' and 'An All-Consuming Fire' and the upcoming 'Against All Fierce Hostility.'
The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in 'The Flame Ignites', Dorothy L Sayers in 'The Shadow of Reality', Shakespeare in 'A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare', and Jane Austen in both 'A Jane Austen Encounter' and 'A Most Singular Venture'. Watch for 'A Prodigious Sum of Corpses: Seeking Sanditon at Jane Austen’s Seashore', which will take readers to all of Austen’s favorite seashore resorts. Accounts of Crow’s visits to these sites are available on her blog under the heading “Jane Austen Seashore Tour.”
The Lord Danvers Victorian true-crime series is an Amazon bestseller in the British Detectives category. Books in the series include 'A Lethal Spectre', 'A Most Inconvenient Death', 'Grave Matters', 'To Dust You Shall Return' and 'A Tincture of Murder'. Donna provides a no-charge download of 'A Tincture of Murder' for those who sign up for her newsletter. More information is available at her website.
The Daughters of Courage, 'Kathryn', 'Elizabeth' and 'Stephanie' is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area. A short story on her blog entitled “A Nostalgic Fourth of July” is based on a scene from ‘Kathryn: Days of Loss and Hope'.

Books For Book Clubs: Award Winning Author Frances Fuller Announces Recent Appearance At Elon University's Life-@-Elon Learning Institute
Fuller's presentation centered on her new book on aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old', that offers an intimate, personal perspective on aging for retirees, people with aging parents, the elderly, counselors and those approaching retirement
Multi-award winning author Frances Fuller recently appeared at a Life@Elon event in which she discussed her new book on aging, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old - Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety'. Her book offers a unique outlook on aging based on her own experience. Sharing her personal difficulties, memories and values, she reveals the decisions she has made about how to live the final stage of her life. An edited version of the presentation will soon be made available via video to book clubs and other discussion groups.
'Helping Yourself Grow Old' is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.
Because the format and subject matter are highly appropriate for groups to read together, discussion questions centered on the content of the book are now available at her website for book clubs and other discussion groups.
The Life@Elon program provide learning opportunities for people over the age of fifty. According to the Elon University website, "Elon University’s lifelong education program just completed its eighth year this spring! It has been a wonderful success and continues to get better and better thanks to the great work of our dedicated volunteers. The program was designed to offer non-credit learning opportunities to people ages 50 and older. The learning institute, called LIFE@Elon, features weekly presentations conducted in an engaging format. The learning community is led by current and retired Elon faculty and staff members and other area educators."
Other books on aging, most notably 'The Gift of Years' by Joan Chittester and 'On Being Mortal by Atul Gawande have enjoyed success recently. Most books on aging currently available present the issue of aging from an abstract, scientific or academic point of view. On the other hand, Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, engaging — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.
The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”
For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:
Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)
and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.
Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."
Frances Fuller’s prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards. Frances was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. Her book received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.
Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”
Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. Fuller's books are available at Amazon and other book retailers. The Authors Show® Announces New Social Media Program To Support Indie Authors During Coronavirus Pandemic
The Authors Show® is a publishing industry podcasting pioneer, producing author interviews since 2005
Danielle Hampson, Executive Producer of “The Authors Show®”, has announced a new social media campaign to help support Indie Authors during the Coronavirus pandemic.
With physical interaction now limited, travel restrictions and more people in need to stay home, the world is more than ever using social media to remain connected. This offers a great opportunity for authors to make the public aware of their work. To help with that effort "The Authors Show" has launched its Stuck at Home? Read a Book social media posting campaign to promote reading during this world crisis, while enhancing exposure for Indie Authors' books.
Using the hashtags #StuckAtHomeReadABook and #ReadABook, the social media campaign will assist authors on The Authors Show’s broadcast schedule in making the public aware of reading books written by Indie Authors. This is a win-win for both authors and readers.
“Millions are currently ‘stuck at home’ with lots of time on their hands," Hampson stated. "Reading books is entertaining, educational, and, for those with children, reading books with them is great quality time. Many Indie Authors are excellent writers so let's use this time to support them by buying and reading their books! Let’s take advantage of technology by purchasing online from our individual favorite outlets for either shipping to our homes, for download to our digital readers and let’s remember audio books too! It is a simple thing to do and is a win-win: we will enjoy reading books from authors we may have never heard of before, and we will help them in the process."
In addition to The Authors Show’s campaign, authors scheduled for broadcast on the site will receive social media banners they may utilize in their own campaigns.
Everyone, whether writer, reader or both, is encouraged to use these hashtags -#StuckAtHomeReadABook and #ReadABook in support of Indie authors.
More information on the author support campaign is available at http://www.TheAuthorsShow.com. Questions about the campaign should be submitted to danielle@theauthorsshow.com.
About The Authors Show®:
“The Authors Show” is a publishing industry podcasting pioneer producing author interviews since 2005. The program offers participants three major benefits:
1. The production of a professionally edited audio and/or video tool showcasing participating authors and their book(s);
2. Participating authors are included in The Authors Show’s substantial weekly social media outreach;
3. The show shares with participants its own pool of readers by broadcasting their interview on its online network, putting their work in front of thousands of potential book buyers around the world that authors would otherwise not reach.

Viral Ignorance Is Bringing Avoidable Bondage, Poverty And Death Says Dr Richard Ruhling
Ruhling is an expert on Healthcare which he says is inversely related to medical care
In the Swine Flu of 1918, 50-100 million died, including half of those who contracted the disease in Europe, but in the US, less than 1% of those admitted to the Battle Creek Sanitarium died, says Richard Ruhling, MD, MPH, board-certified in Internal Medicine. He taught Health Science at Loma Linda University and offers the following information on what made the difference in Battle Creek:
Dr. John Kellogg authored 'Rational Hydrotherapy' and pioneered in natural remedies at a time of medical ignorance that used mercury, arsenic and strychnine. Sanitarium guests included people like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and JC Penny.
The rationale is that white blood cell circulation increases after contrast hot and cold fomentations or baths. Their diet was also different. Kellogg’s Cornflakes and Post Toasties originated in the basement of the sanitarium where they prepared cereals and other healthy eating for the guests. Peanut butter was not invented, but was popularized there as better for health on whole wheat toast with applesauce than bacon and eggs or sausage.
Eating habits greatly affect immunity. The phagocytic index (the ability to engulf germs) is greatly reduced by sugar and the average person gets over 35 grams daily in soft drinks and packaged foods. This explains the flu season every winter after holiday eating of cakes and cookies. Fresh fruits and vegetables are known by nutritionists as protective foods.
Fasting also enhances immunity. As a general practice, a good breakfast and midday dinner is best with abstinence for supper so the digestive organs can rest when we sleep and break fast in the morning. It’s a key to weight loss because calories that we eat at supper get stored when we aren’t burning them at night.
The need for Vitamin C increases under stress, and infection is a stress. It’s water soluble, so it goes out in the urine. Taking 250 mg every 3-4 hours is better than 1000 when faced with infection.
Ruhling faced infection. Working an Emergency Room in Riverside, California, he noticed he was getting sick—scratchy throat, runny nose, achy and feeling a chill. He took his temperature and it was normal. But he remembered that in microbiology, they said viruses were killed faster with fever, so he wondered what he could do to get a fever!
Taking a break, he filled a hospital tub with water as hot as he could tolerate, and in 20 minutes, his temperature was 102.5 (F). As the water was running out, he did the Battle Creek treatment and poured cold water, front and back several times—it felt refreshing. He had no vitamin C, but he skipped supper to enhance his immunity.
He saw his patients and as things slowed down about 11 PM, he thought the bath had helped him, so he took another “fever treatment” with a hot bath, finishing with cold water. He slept well and in the morning, he had no symptoms—catching the ‘bug’ early with a good strategy aborted the flu.
Medical science has admitted that no drug kills a virus. A drug salesman admitted to Ruhling that if the body is losing against an infection, an antibiotic may turn the tide from 49% losing to 51% winning the battle.
With coronavirus, some are promising a cure, but historically, drugs disappoint us and they all have a list of adverse effects, some of which are serious. Why should we risk the drugs when the above measures work?
Even with the Swine Flu, when the Battle Creek Sanitarium was full and they gave instructions on what to do at home, only 4% mortality bested Europe’s 50%.
CNN reported kids who died of the flu all had flu shots. “Even on a good year, the effectiveness of the flu vaccine is about 60%. On a bad year, it’s as low at 10%,” says Dr. Anthony Fauci, National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Disease. This year is “not a very good match.” And now comes the coronavirus. What can a smart person do to beat the odds? https://needtoknow.news/2020/02/ or https://needtoknow.news/2020/02/robert-f-kennedy-jr-on-the-stunning-corruption-in-the-vaccine-industry-that-has-killed-hundreds-of-thousands-of-americans/.
Ruhling notes that medical care and Adverse Drug Reactions are not even mentioned in the CDC list of leading causes of illness and death, though well-supported by medical literature, http://LeadingCauseOfDeathPrescriptionDrugs.com. He says we are in bondage to a medical system that is not healthcare! Medical care is the diagnosis and treatment of disease with drugs that adversely affect health in spite of symptomatic relief when we could live better and be well without Rx’s.
Billions of dollars are being lost in this crisis as businesses close down due to the real pandemic—fear. It’s so needless when natural remedies and supplements like vitamin C, garlic, echinacea, turmeric, colloidal silver can help. If we live well and aren’t afraid of the virus (but practiced social distance and hygiene, we would be better off than the fear from media and the control that government agencies are forcing on us as a test, moving toward Global Gov. and tyranny?
For a better understanding, Ruhling recommends his book, 'Health, Happiness & Destiny', available in bookstores and on Amazon where a Top 100 Hall of Fame Amazon Reviewer, Grady Harp, MD, “Highly Recommended” it with 5 stars.
About Dr. Richard Ruhling:
Dr. Ruhling graduated from Loma Linda University medical school and planning for overseas work, took a Masters Degree in Public Health. After Internal Medicine training and board certification, he also had a Cardiology Fellowship before teaching at Loma Linda’s School of Public Health. Attending a cardiology convention, he heard Pritikin reporting how a vegan-like diet got reversed heart disease and got 85% of patients off their drugs for diabetes and blood pressure.

New Engaging Coronavirus Video For Children Released By School Nurse, Award Winning Author Cheryl Williams
Williams' new video teaches kids how to use best practices in regards to avoiding the coronovirus. Williams employs her talent as a writer and poet to create an entertaining and engaging presentation that will teach children how to follow proper guidelines for safety.
In regards to avoiding the coronavirus, nearly everybody has difficulty maintaining the presence of mind to remember to avoid sneezing into our hands, refrain from touching our face, shaking hands or remembering to wash our hands for the minimum amount of time. If we have trouble with this, how could we possibly teach our ever-distracted children to do the same?
CNN recently launched a new podcast entitled "Coronavirus: Fact VS Fiction with Dr. Sanjay Gupta”. In one of the episodes Gupta made the point that children don't get as sick from the coronavirus but that they are carriers, spreading it to people who are more susceptible, hence the need for school closings.
So how do we instill healthy habits in our kids and keep them aware? Cheryl Williams has the answer.
We create a rhyme, set it to meter and teach it to kids in ways that are both fun and engaging. Williams uses her award winning poetry skills and her background as a school nurse to do just that. She has written a new poem, entitled 'Healthy Soldiers' that teaches these practices to children. She has turned the new poem into a video and has posted it so school children can access it via Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy7gpv75oQQ. The poem begins with:
We are healthy soldiers
We have a part to play
To keep our bodies healthy
And keep the germs away
We must always sneeze in our sleeves
Do you know what that means?
It means we close our elbows tight
And give our face a squeeze
The poem concludes with:
Together we can build a fort
To keep the germs outside
Like soldiers on a mission
For our bodies we will fight
"With the World Health Organization now calling the Coronavirus a pandemic, and so many people worldwide in a state of panic, I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone that there is a lot that they can do to help prevent the spread of this virus," Williams stated.
"As an Elementary school nurse having close contact with young children on a daily basis, I felt it was imperative to educate them on the importance of doing their part. Helping them understand the vital role they play in making a difference."
More is available at Williams' website at https://cherylhot6.wixsite.com/cherylpwilliams.
Williams was named Top Female Author in the 2019 Top Female Author Awards in the poetry category. The win came as the result of her most recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. Williams was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors by a panel of judges.
Writing has helped Williams connect with her inner self, finding positive ways to cope with life's struggles. She has been writing and singing for as long as she can remember.
Throughout her childhood she sang in both the church and school choir, and also enjoyed singing at talent shows and music festivals. As an adult she also participated in concerts, performing as a solo artist.
Music and writing are the tools that bring her fulfillment and healing. Her book, 'A Collection Of Poems', takes us through the power of the human mind, good or bad, and its impact on one's direction and journey through life.
With the help of music, writing, and positive thinking, Williams found hope and purpose in life. Life isn't fair. It is unpredictable, bad things happen to good people, and we never know what tomorrow holds. Cheryl wants her readers to realize that even when faced with insurmountable, hopeless situations, even when life seems dark and uncertain, we should never let go of hope and appreciate the beauty and blessings that life has to offer, making the most of every day, loving, living, laughing, and learning. Seasons change, and there is always a rainbow after the storms of life.
Cheryl Williams is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at cherylw27@aol.com. 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life' is available at Amazon. More information, including a number of videos and a collection of music, is available at her website at https://cherylhot6.wixsite.com/cherylpwilliams.
About Cheryl Williams:
Cheryl Williams is a wife, mother, author, and nurse by profession, with a passion for the Arts.
Her love for poetry started at the tender age of five when she recited the poem "Grandfather Frog” for a school function. Six years later, her world was turned upside down after her mother suffered a massive stroke. During those uncertain times, music, writing, and poetry helped her cope.
As a teenager, whenever she wasn’t caring for her mother, Cheryl spent her free time writing and directing short plays as a form of entertainment for the children in her neighborhood.
She enjoyed singing in the church and school choir, while also performing publicly as a soloist in concerts and talent shows. As a result of her mother’s illness and her responsibility to help care for her, Cheryl was inspired to pursue nursing as a way to help others heal; the same way writing and music helped her find a path to healing. She resides in New York.

Teen Suicide Is An Alarming Crisis That Affects Us All Says Laura Prince, Author Of Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration
Laura Prince's new book detailing the death of her brother has been called "insightful", "powerful" "vivid" "absorbing" and "spellbinding".
A recent article on the Physician's Weekly website revealed some appalling facts regarding teen suicide. The article referenced a quote in the New York Times in 2018 in which psychiatrist Richard Friedman wrote that an epidemic in anxiety or depression among youth "is simply a myth."
Jean Twenge, PhD, the author of the article wrote: "But a new analysis my colleagues and I conducted of a large representative screening survey—published in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology—reinforces what I and others have been saying: The epidemic is all too real. In fact, the increase in mental health issues among teens and young adults is nothing short of staggering. . . . Depression surged 69% among 16- to 17-year-olds. Serious psychological distress, which includes feelings of anxiety and hopelessness, jumped 71% among 18- to 25-year-olds from 2008 to 2017. Twice as many 22- to 23-year-olds attempted suicide in 2017 compared with cohorts in 2008, and 55% more had suicidal thoughts."
Further on in the article she said, " . . .the suicide rate among 18- to 19-year-olds climbed 56% from 2008 to 2017."
Suffice it to say that our young people need help now. But this goes beyond just young people, as the tragedy of teen suicide affects not only immediate family members, but everyone in the orbit of relationships surrounding the family. We sometimes tend to ignore the devastating effect suicide has on siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents, close friends, teachers and on the community as a whole.
Montreal resident Laura Prince, author of 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey From Despair To Celebration', offers some important words of wisdom that can help anyone affected by teen suicide take the first steps toward healing.
"There is no recipe, and no-one knows--nor will ever know--how you feel, and how you have lived your personal tragedy,” Prince stated. “It's a matter of finding your way through support groups, therapy and friendships. Writing is a major help, and listening to others' stories is also very healing. Whatever helps you feel compassion for all of us and gratitude for discovering a peaceful place again will help you chart your particular journey to healing.”
“Time has illustrated to me that the death of my brother was the catalyst to my devastating despair; however, the lack of support was the tragedy. A person left with no avenue of help, especially a child, is emotionally doomed in most ways. Getting help was what got me over Mathew."
Readers and reviewers alike have praised Sibling Loss. One called it "The best story illustrating the long term consequences of unresolved childhood grief that I have seen." Another said, "Sibling Loss: A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration is an excellent read and one I would recommend to everyone."
Allan Schnarr, of the Center for Grief Recovery in Chicago said, "Sibling Loss is not a book you read at a dispassionate distance. It is not for you if you choose to avoid facing your losses, not unless you become willing to turn around and face yourself. The reading is a deeply personal encounter with Laura, as she lays bare the unspeakable tragedy of the death of her beloved brother. As you encounter Laura, the mirror she offers will draw you in to the journey inside your own broken heart . . .There is so much to learn here about longing for love, losing love, and searching for it unwaveringly. This is the thread weaving Laura’s narrative. It is at the archetypal core of each journey through life, love lost and found.
"Laura makes it clear that fully grieving the loss of love brings one to a new home, a renewed discovery of love, a love strong enough and wise enough to walk through each new loss with durable, irrepressible grace. Thank you Laura”
Laura’s story, 'Sibling Loss, A Sister's Journey from Despair to Celebration', is a book that would be appropriate for anyone who has ever lost, or will ever lose a sibling. That would be nearly all of us.

Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe Announces New Children’s Book, When The Angel Sent Butterflies
Sharpe's previously published books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
Jody Sharpe, multi-award winning author of three books about angels, has announced the release of a new children's book, 'When The Angels Sent Butterflies'. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies.
The new book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.
In a recent post on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her website, Sharpe discussed the story behind the new book:
"When I wrote my new children’s book, 'When The Angel Sent Butterflies', it came from the heart and the miracle of seeing butterflies at the most serendipitous of moments. My late daughter, Kate at four years old, was for a brief time, afraid of bees. As I wrote the story I thought of butterflies as calming the character Kate’s fears as love is sent by Angel Ken with a wave of butterflies from his hands.
"But really the synchronicity of it all seems angels, butterflies, and bees, all represent hope, joy and love to me. One of the favorite lines I ever wrote was not in one in my books. To one of my best friends who is fighting illness I wrote:
“Though thought to be fragile, butterfly’s wings are strong in the wind. They fly miles on angel wind.”
"The strength of angels sending love through the flight of butterflies and bees gives me peace. This is part of the wondrous spiritual awakening in me."
The full text is available at her website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.
In Sharpe's highly acclaimed novels, the angels take on human form and interact with humanity in a variety of ways:
Town of Angels - It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…
To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.
The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.
Sharpe presents stories and interviews about angels in her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series. She is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.
Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards'. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.
She was also the featured author in the Scottsdale Public Library newsletter in the March Local Author Spotlight section.
Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.
