Black History Month - We Are More Than Just The Color Of Our Skin And Should Live Our Shade Of Gray Says Award Winning Author Cheryl Williams

Award winning author, poet, film maker and musician Cheryl Williams recently released a new video entitled "Living Our Shade Of Gray" for Black History Month 2021.

Kamala Harris is the first woman of color to be elected as Vice President of the United States. During the swearing in ceremony, Amanda Gorman, a 22 year old woman of color, galvanized viewers across the world by reciting an original poem titled, "The Hill We Climb."

In celebration of Black History Month, award winning author and poet Cheryl Williams created a video that features several of her poems from her book 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life, presented by herself and Soleil-Iman Henry Hyman. Selections from the book include "Shades of Gray" and "The Survivor".

“As I celebrate Black History month 2021 I had to take a step back and think about how far we have come as a people," Williams stated.

"As a black woman I am so very proud to witness the first woman and woman of color become the Vice President of the United States.

"We as black women have had to undergo so much, but we must never let anyone or anything define us.

"We must embrace our shades of gray and live our lives our way.

"Even if a vision impaired colored world tries to minimize our worth, we must continue to stand up for what we believe in, and never let fear or oppression stop us from becoming all that we were created to become.

"We are survivors! We are the masterpiece of God our creator, and we can do anything we set our minds to.

"So as we celebrate Black History month this year, may we never forget that we are not only phenomenal during the month of February, but all year round.”

The new video, 'Living Our Shade Of Gray' at Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMVZWJoJyYQ&feature=youtu.be.

Williams, the award winning author of 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life' is also a talented film maker and musician. She recently released a new video entitled "Covid-19: A Child's View." The new film is a penetrating look into the experiences of those whose young lives have been affected. The new film is available at Youtube at https://youtu.be/MiL3NMtsKhM.

"In this YouTube video, 'Covid-19: A Child’s View', we can listen to the kids as they speak about their experiences and perspectives surrounding the virus and this pandemic," Williams stated.

Williams had a chance to speak with Anthony, the fourteen year old Covid survivor, who was featured in 'Covid-19 and My Child. Anthony’s story was aired on News 12 Long Island and featured in the the Deer Park-North Babylon NY Patch,
https://patch.com/new-york/deerpark-northbabylon/mom-whose-son-14-had-coronavirus-urges-back-school-caution

Williams also recently posted a mesmerizing account of her coronavirus experience in a Youtube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpN7nMt8gf0&t=91s.

Williams was named Top Female Author in the 2019 Top Female Author Awards in the poetry category. The win came as the result of her most recent book, 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life'. Williams was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors by a panel of judges.

Writing has helped Williams connect with her inner self, finding positive ways to cope with life's struggles. She has been writing and singing for as long as she can remember.

Throughout her childhood she sang in both the church and school choir, and also enjoyed singing at talent shows and music festivals. As an adult she also participated in concerts, performing as a solo artist.

Music and writing are the tools that bring her fulfillment and healing. Her book, 'A Collection Of Poems', takes us through the power of the human mind, good or bad, and its impact on one's direction and journey through life.

With the help of music, writing, and positive thinking, Williams found hope and purpose in life. Life isn't fair. It is unpredictable, bad things happen to good people, and we never know what tomorrow holds. Cheryl wants her readers to realize that even when faced with insurmountable, hopeless situations, even when life seems dark and uncertain, we should never let go of hope and appreciate the beauty and blessings that life has to offer, making the most of every day, loving, living, laughing, and learning. Seasons change, and there is always a rainbow after the storms of life.

Cheryl Williams is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at cherylw27@aol.com. 'A Collection Of Poems: A Journey Through Life' is available at Amazon and Dorrance Publishing. More information, including a number of videos and a collection of music, is available at her website at https://cherylhot6.wixsite.com/cherylpwilliams.

About Cheryl Williams:

Cheryl Williams is a wife, mother, author, and nurse by profession, with a passion for the Arts.

Her love for poetry started at the tender age of five when she recited the poem "Grandfather Frog” for a school function. Six years later, her world was turned upside down after her mother suffered a massive stroke. During those uncertain times, music, writing, and poetry helped her cope.

As a teenager, whenever she wasn’t caring for her mother, Cheryl spent her free time writing and directing short plays as a form of entertainment for the children in her neighborhood.

She enjoyed singing in the church and school choir, while also performing publicly as a soloist in concerts and talent shows. As a result of her mother’s illness and her responsibility to help care for her, Cheryl was inspired to pursue nursing as a way to help others heal; the same way writing and music helped her find a path to healing. She resides in New York.

Donna Fletcher Crow, Award Winning Author Of British History, To Appear At Portsmouth Bookfest As Jane Austen On March 1, 2021

The Portsmouth Bookfest, now in its 10th year, will take place February 15 through March 7, 2021.

Award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow will be appearing at the 2021 Portsmouth Bookfest on March 1, 2021 as one of her most beloved writers, Jane Austen. As Austen, she will conduct a walking tour (via Zoom) of Portsmouth, showing sites she remembers and pictures of scenes that have long since disappeared.

Jane Austen has strong ties to Portsmouth. Austen lived in nearby Southampton between 1806 and 1809. Austen set a major scene in her novel 'Mansfield Park' in what is now Old Portsmouth. Her brothers Francis and Charles attended the royal Naval Academy in Portsmouth, and Francis, who rose to be Admiral of the Fleet, made his home in Portsmouth.

Portsmouth has a strong literary heritage. Besides Jane Austen, the town has links to Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and H G Wells. Bookfest continues that heritage by annually presenting top authors from Britain and abroad at their 3-week long event.

In 2019, Donna participated as a panelist in Mysteryfest. Mysteryfest is a one day event, dedicated to the craft of mystery writing, that is presented as part of the bookfest and co-sponsored by the Mystery People group to which Crow belongs. Other panel members included Leigh Russell, Sally Spedding, Diana Bretherick and Carol Westron.

Crow said, “I am very excited to be presenting at Bookfest via Zoom this year, even though I’ll admit I’d rather do it in person.

“My attendance at Bookfest and Mysteryfest has a chequered record, at best. In 2018 I had hoped to attend the first ever Mysteryfest. I was in England at the time, but the 'Beast from the East' arctic storm blew in and forced cancellation of the event. Last year I was scheduled to present 'An Idaho Cowgirl in Austenland' where I would talk about becoming an Anglophile through literature. The Coronavirus—which was just ramping up at that time—forced us to scrub all of our travel plans.

“So this year, I am thankful for the technology that will allow both Jane Austen and myself to attend—and our friends around the world will be able to join us. More details and samples of the places Jane will be taking us are available on my website: https://donnafletchercrow.com/p/426/Jane-Austen-to-Appear-at-Portsmouth-Bookfest

It is important that attendees register early. More information can be found at the Portsmouth City Council site at https://portsmouth.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/FULL/WPAC/EVSESENQ/4354931/15162076,17.

Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 50 books, mostly novels of British history. She has taken a number of high-level industry awards for her work. 'Glastonbury' is her best-known book, which received the prestigious First Place, Historical Novel, award from the National Federation of Press Women. Readers and reviewers have raved about 'Glastonbury', calling it "The best of its kind," "richly fascinating," "beautifully researched," "gloriously evocative," and "panoramic." One Amazon reader said, "WHAT a work! Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."

The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in 'The Flame Ignites', Dorothy L Sayers in 'The Shadow of Reality', Shakespeare in 'A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare', and Jane Austen in both 'A Jane Austen Encounter' and 'A Most Singular Venture'. Watch for 'A Prodigious Sum of Corpses: Seeking Sanditon at Jane Austen’s Seashore', which will take readers to all of Austen’s favorite seashore resorts. Accounts of Crow’s visits to these sites are available on her blog under the heading “Jane Austen Seashore Tour.”

The Monastery Murders Series features atmospheric contemporary crimes with their roots buried deep in the middle ages. Books in the series include 'A Very Private Grave', 'A Darkly Hidden Truth', 'An Unholy Communion', 'A Newly Crimsoned Reliquary', 'An All-Consuming Fire' and the newly-released 'Against All Fierce Hostility.'

The Daughters of Courage, 'Kathryn', 'Elizabeth' and 'Stephanie' is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area. A short story on her blog entitled “A Nostalgic Fourth of July” is based on a scene from ‘Kathryn: Days of Loss and Hope'.

Where There is Love is a 6-book series of the enduring legacy of love and faith all based on historic people and events. The titles are: ‘Where Love Begins’, ‘Where Love Illumines’, ‘Where Love Triumphs’, ‘Where Love Restores’, ‘Where Love Shines’, and ‘Where Love Calls’.

The Lord Danvers Victorian true-crime series is an Amazon bestseller in the British Detectives category. Books in the series include 'A Lethal Spectre', 'A Most Inconvenient Death', 'Grave Matters', 'To Dust You Shall Return' and 'A Tincture of Murder'. Donna provides a no-charge download of 'A Tincture of Murder' for those who sign up for her newsletter. More information is available at her website.

2021 Will Be A Time Of Rebirth And Revitalization Says Donna Louis, Award Winning Author Of Thriving In Every Season Of Life With God

Louis is the multi-award-winning author of three inspirational Christian books. Louis’ books reveal God’s desire for our happiness and joy.

2020 was a year in which we experienced not only a pandemic, but also shocking social unrest, devastating unemployment, political divisiveness and changes we might never have imagined just a few years ago. If 2020 was a season, it would be winter - and a long, harsh one at that. Thankfully, no matter how brutal and bone-chilling, all winters must necessarily end in spring.

For many of us, springtime is our favorite time of year, as we can finally leave the numbing cold and the dreadful darkness behind us and move at last into the warmth and the light. Springtime is a time of renewed energy, growth, expansion, rebirth and revitalization.

Springtime is not just a change of season. It can also be seen as a state of mind. That reinvigorating state of mind is one of the subjects covered in Donna Louis' new inspirational Christian book, 'Thriving In Every Season Of Life With God.'

Louis presents the idea that we experience "seasons" in life, in much the same way as nature experiences seasons, with periods of both growth and decline. When we understand that, we come to see that a period of decline is not something permanent, but instead merely foreshadows a period of growth. The book, somewhat similar to the books found in 'Chicken Soup For The Soul' collections, is highly motivational and packed with powerful and engaging stories that give the reader examples of illuminating situations drawn from the lives of both Biblical-era and modern day people. She recently had this to say:

“When you are in the winter season of your life the best thing you can do is start a fire,” Louis stated. “Some of us have been fortunate to have been in the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts when we were younger. One thing they taught you is how to start a fire. There are three components to starting a campfire: The Tinder–The Kindling–The Fuel.

“Now for our purposes we will refer to the tinder which is wood and say it is the Bible. We will call the kindling prayer, and finally we will call the fuel praise and worship. We have the capability to start a fire any time, every day, even several times a day. We are encouraged to do this from the Book of Joshua: ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”–Joshua 1:8.

“It is really remarkably simple what we need to do to remove all of the plagues that are surrounding us. God said it himself in 2 Chronicles 7:14: ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Louis is also the author of 'Book of Proverbs, Wisdom vs. Wilderness', which delves deeply into the timeless human quest for wisdom. As all Christians know, the primary purpose of the Biblical Book of Proverbs is to teach wisdom. The Book of Proverbs provides intellectual depth, insights and exceptional wisdom on how to live a meaningful, joyful and tranquil life by honoring and respecting God as omnipotent.

'Book Of Proverbs' discusses all chapters in Proverbs 1-31 and brings insight, clarity, and basic meaning to several verses in each chapter. It clarifies why wisdom is not only essential, but mandatory in life, if one hopes to live a blessed life, versus living destitute, empty, or feeling lost or hopeless.

Louis has won a number of industry awards. She was chosen as the winner in the 2018 Top Female Author Awards in the Religion/Philosophy/Spiritual category. Louis was chosen from an international field of contestants by a panel of judges. She was also a recent winner in the 2018 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards.

Louis' recent wins follow three awards in the 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading Awards contest (2015, 2016 and 2017), and two nominations in the Top Female Authors Awards.

Donna Louis' first book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' helps readers explore miracles both past and present. The book explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful examples of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced four miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

'Miracles' has received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Donna Louis is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at donnalouisgodsmessenger@aol.com. More information is available at her website. Both books are available at Payhip at http://bit.ly/1jFX4qs, at Barnes and Noble at http://bit.ly/2LECI1h, at Xulon press at http://bit.ly/2P4ezU5 and at Amazon at https://amzn.to/38wW82l. More information is available at her website at http://www.miraclebook.net.

About Donna Louis:

Donna Louis is happily married to her husband of 36 years Patrick Louis and currently resides in Florida. She lives to accomplish the task that God created her for and on a daily basis to follow Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Antisemitism – Scandinavian Holocaust History Provided By The Yellow Star That Wasn’t: Scandinavia, Miami And Me, New Historical Memoir By Award Winning Author Cami Ann Green, PhD

Cami Ann Green is an established academic writer and an award-winning author of human-interest stories. She is in several Scandinavian publications, both in Finland and the US, with such pieces as face-to-face interviews with legendary novelist James Michener, and iconic feminist Betty Friedan.

According to a first-ever 50-state survey on Holocaust knowledge, 63% of American Millennials and Gen Z did not know six million Jews were murdered (additionally, 41% said the number was 2 million or less) and 11% of survey respondents believed Jews caused the Holocaust.

On a positive note, 80% said it is important to continue teaching this part of history, partly so it is not repeated again.

Among the nationwide population, the AJC: American Jewish Committee found that 24% of Americans know "not much" or "nothing at all" about the Holocaust, with 90% of those who responded believing it is important for schools to teach the history of the Holocaust.

Traditionally, school districts have heavily relied on textbooks on the general history of World War II to fulfill their state’s mandate to teach Holocaust history, with teachers continually looking for engaging ways to teach a uniquely terrifying period of history. Since the adoption of a new federal law, the Never Again Education Act, signed into law by President Trump in 2020, teachers may apply for grants to assist them with curriculum materials for the history of the Holocaust and its relevance to growing antisemitism today.

A Maryland teacher believes that her students relate to the Holocaust period when she talks about the exclusionary laws targeting Jews in Germany in the 1930s because “middle schoolers are all about who’s in the club and who’s not in the club.” Meanwhile, a professor of Holocaust and genocide studies does not think the subject should be taught just as history, because then it becomes easy for students to say, “It happened then, it happened there, it has no relevance here.” He maintains that connecting the topic with everyday people is essential.

A recently released historical memoir The Yellow Star That Wasn’t: Scandinavia, Miami And Me introduces a geographic area that is not a common part of the Holocaust-related writings: the often-forgotten Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The book combines stories with historical facts into a mesmerizing personal narrative that makes students of the Holocaust relate on a more personal level while letting them see how history and culture continue to affect the way we still view human relations, specifically in the area of tolerance and the fight against antisemitism.

Readers get important historical facts (for instance, that Hitler occupied Denmark and Norway on the same day in 1940 while Finland and Sweden were left alone) without being over-whelmed by mind-numbing information, in a way that the previous literature about the years 1940-1945 has not done. Often misunderstood or ignored, the Scandinavian situation has long been the focus of Green’s ongoing speaking engagements where much of the material evolved as an expression of the interest of listeners.

Among praise for The Yellow Star That Wasn’t:

"(the book) successfully weaves the writer's personal story into a narrative of acceptance/intolerance/resilience of the Jews in Scandinavia before, during and after the events of WW-II. Ultimately it's an inspirational story on several levels."

Another said, "The history of the Scandinavian Jewish experience of the Holocaust was full of information that was new to me. The comments the writer's lectures stimulated reveals the great connection to victims and survivors that lives in the generation that grew up right after WWII. This connection inevitably will fade in the following generations - to their peril."

"While it was the title that intrigued me (so contrary to the history I thought I knew), it was the personal story that kept me mesmerized. We are all products of the people who raised us!"

One reviewer stated, "I learned history not found in any of my history books in high school."

Cami Ann Green is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at cami@chofstadter.com. The Yellow Star That Wasn’t: Scandinavia, Miami And Me is in paperback or Kindle from Amazon and other quality booksellers. More information is available at the website at http://www.seagreenpress.com.

About Cami Ann Green:

A European and U.S.-educated lawyer, Cami Green has a PhD in Educational Leadership, and certificates from the University of Geneva (International Organizations) and the Hague Academy of International Law (Diplomatic Law). In spite of a sizeable body of academic writings (most recently, Modern Consuls, Palgrave Macmillan, July 2020), her love for human interest stories has remained a constant through her life.

Among Green’s unique qualifications for The Yellow Star that Wasn’t: Scandinavia, Miami, and Me are her proficiency in all Scandinavian languages, and her ability to make the personal into the universal – particularly as it relates to history – by her focus on the human experience. Through ongoing lectures and writings, she understands what Americans want to know about her own personal journey to an obsessive interest in the part of Holocaust history that involves the four Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden), all with their own unique experiences. She has also presented at the Holocaust Teacher Institute, University of Miami.

Throughout her career, Green was committed to international education and was active in many organizations that shared the goal of preparing coming generations for the new global community. Among them: AALS (Association of American Law Schools) Section on Graduate Programs for Foreign Lawyers (founding president; newsletter editor); Florida Commission on International Education (University of Miami School of Law Representative); Florida State Commission on International Education; and NAFSA: Association of International Educators (national Parliamentarian). She was also a member of the Consular College, Washington, D.C. and a member and secretary of the Consular Corps of Miami.

When Whales Watch is a thrilling, award-winning novella that takes readers on a wild sea-going adventure. To celebrate World Whale Day, the book makes its debut in print, and the Amazon Kindle E-book will be free for three days, February 18, 19, and 20.

Best-selling, award-winning author Mara Purl weaves compelling facts into her story. Based in part on her experience as a crew member aboard a Greenpeace voyage to save whales, and in part on her expertise as a researcher, Purl found abundant evidence that sperm whales—possessing the largest brains on Earth—are not only highly intelligent, but keenly observant.

“It’s a well-documented fact that a sperm whale could tell which human shot the harpoon, when its mate was killed,” she recounted. “If a male can’t protect its family, it will retaliate.” This, indeed, was the case in the sinking of The Essex as fictionalized in Moby Dick. Purl spent six weeks in the North Pacific on a voyage that came back with extensive photographic and film evidence of whales’ behavior when under attack. She went on to collaborate on an ABC documentary with Jack Ford, to be interviewed on the TODAY show, to write an essay for the Christian Science Monitor and to write a cover story for Rolling Stone.

Yet a deeper story remained to be told. “This story pulled at my heart for several years. How does a pod of sperm whales behave when not under attack? What would cause these pelagic behemoths to visit coastal waters? And what would trigger a male’s extreme protective behavior?” These were the questions Purl set out to answer and to demonstrate in her riveting tale. “Much more is known now about whale physiology and communication, as I discovered during additional research. In some ways they’re way ahead of us. It’s as though I became a ‘whale whisperer’ as I wrote this novella. It was an honor getting to know them better.”

When Whales Watch is part of Purl’s best-selling saga, Milford-Haven, which began as a hit BBC radio drama with 4.5 million listeners in the U.K., and became a multi-award winning book series with 17 million followers in the U.S. The sage is set in California’s scenic Central Coast, where Purl regularly researches her stories, and is a frequent speaker.

Reviewer and Host of The Authors Show Linda Thompson said: “The narrative in this novella is so real, the reader feels as though we are conversing with the protective, soon to be a daddy, sperm whale. Mara Purl has a unique talent for describing a setting, the people, and everything it takes to set up a scene and follow it through.”

Stan Waterman, five-time Emmy winning producer and the “grandfather” of underwater cinematography, said, “When Whales Watch is a well written, fine story. I am much impressed with your whale research. It is accurate and lends great veracity to the tale. I have nothing but compliments for you and great respect for the time and discipline required to produce . . . a series. Well done!!”

“When Whales Watch is the story of unforgettable characters on an exhilarating race towards a life-changing event. I was on the edge of my seat.”– Ophelia London, author of Playing at Love and Abby Road

“I felt impelled to report how enjoyable AND informative is the read. I knew very little about the whale species. Already, you have increased my knowledge of this fascinating mammal at least ten-fold. Your personification of the mother whale is brilliant writing. I can read in your story the love and fascination you have for these great fellow creatures. No doubt, I will fully share that feeling by the novel’s end. On the human side you get how guys think and talk. Glad to have the book handy on my iPad.”
— David S. Sands, Los Angeles, California

Jody Sharpe, Award Winning Author Of Town Of Angels, Announces New Real Life Angel Encounters Video, Chicken Soup For The Soul Podcast, Scottsdale Public Library Video

Sharpe's video channel features angel stories and stories from her experience working with special needs children.

Angels occupy a unique place in our belief systems. Are angels real? If so, where is the proof? If not, why have angels been a part of our global culture for thousands of years? Angels are not only mentioned in Christian literature, but also in Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and Islam. Nevertheless, we continue to wonder - "Are angels real?"

Most of us have never seen an angel. Some of us have. Award winning author Jody Sharpe has interacted directly with angels and it has changed her life. Her mission in life is to offer us proof of the existence of angels. She does this through her books, her blog and now through video via her Youtube channel.

One of Jody's stories was published in a book in the Chicken Soup For The Soul series, Listen To Your Dreams. As a result, she was mentioned in a recent podcast, 'Listen to Your Dreams – Six Ways You Can Use Your Dreams for Personal Transformation, Chicken Soup for the Soul with Amy Newmark Apple Podcasts'. More information is available at her blog at http://jodysharpe.com/tuesdays-with-the-angels-voice-of-an-angel/

In addition, Jody recently posted a new video to her Youtube channel, titled 'Jody Sharpe, Angels in Real Life', in which she describes a meeting with an angel right after the death of her daughter. Her video channel features angel stories and stories from her experience working with special needs children.

Jody was also chosen to participate in a new video presentation, 'Stories Behind Stories - what inspired you to write this book?” for the Scottsdale Public Library. The video will be posted on Scottsdale Public Library’s Facebook and YouTube channels on Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at 6:30 PM

Jody spreads her messages about angels in a number of ways. She has written a series of books about real life angels in everyday situations. She has written a children's book about angels interacting with children. Her latest book centers on special needs children. She accepts angels stories from the public for the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog. Her video channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

Her latest book, 'Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder' is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It’s a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life’s journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

One Amazon review stated, "This book should be required reading for all teaching students; not just special needs teachers. This book has so much value in demonstrating the positive affects that teachers can have on students, and also the blessings that students provide to their teachers. It would show new teachers personal benefits which they may have not yet realized. It is heart-warming and adorable.; absolutely enjoyable for everyone. It is short, but effective, and I am sure that many other teachers have examples they could add . . ."

The new book follows her recently released children's book about angels, "When The Angel Sent Butterflies". The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

Jody's works center on angels on earth and the expression of their love and protection through synchronicity. On the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

In Sharpe's earlier, highly acclaimed novels, angels take on human form and interact with humanity in a variety of ways:

Town of Angels - It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…

To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Sharpe presents stories and interviews about angels in her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series. She is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards'. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Books For Valentine's Day 2021 - Bestowed By Love And Splendour By Award Winning Romantic Fiction Author Gina Iafrate

Gina Iafrate writes sweeping family sagas that allow readers to travel the globe without leaving home

The pandemic, and all the restrictions associated with it, should not dampen our celebration of Valentine's Day. One of the few pleasures we have left is reading. Bestowed By Love And Splendour by award winning romantic fiction author Gina Iafrate transports readers to the exotic island of Sardinia.

Bestowed By Love And Splendour is the breath-taking story of a broken-hearted wife and mother who unexpectedly finds herself taken her away from a tormented life, far across the ocean. On the exotic island of Sardinia, she becomes hypnotized by nature's beauty; the cloudless sky, the emerald blue hues of the sea and the gentleness of the people.

But fate strikes once more. Destiny takes over and transports her to a world beyond her imagination . . . allowing her to find peace, love, and splendour.

Gina Iafrate writes sweeping family sagas that allow readers to travel the globe without leaving home. Like fine pieces of music, her books are layered, providing readers with intricately formed mental images, punctuated by dramatic movements. In the tradition of writers like Nicholas Sparks and John Grisham, Gina's extraordinary story lines reveal the richness of the human experience told through the eyes of finely drawn characters. Nearly all of her story lines involve rich and tactile descriptions of exotic places, placing the reader in the very midst of those locales.

Iafrate's travel and life experiences have set the scene for much of her writing. Known for her quick-paced narration and descriptive atmosphere, Gina's words take the reader on unforgettable journeys, along with the characters she creates.

Other books by Gina Iafrate include:

The English Professor:

Andrew Robertson, an introverted, middle-aged professor leaves his unremarkable London life to embark on a journey to Sicily where strangers welcome him kindly. In this sensuous Mediterranean setting, he develops a burning infatuation for another man's wife. Falling into each other's arms, Andrew and Francesca both satisfy and heighten the emotional and physical longing they have felt all their adult lives. Their union results in a child. But Andrew must go back to London and Francesca must protect herself, Andrew and their child from the violent reach of her husband.

The Girl From The Cornfield

It is 1950 and Giuliana Ferrante is growing up in a sleepy town deep in the Italian mountains. In this coming-of-age saga, her young life is rocked to its core by a vicious attack that shatters the peaceful existence that she and many around her have always taken for granted.

Giuliana, determined to make a future for herself, flourishes by working tirelessly toward her education, securing a legal degree and ultimately a successful position in the business world. She conquers all with kindness and love, managing to rise above the painful memories of her youth. This sweeping, inspirational tale hurdles across time, countries, and characters as it explores how love can heal, reconcile, and restore.

Releases From My Soul

Gina lafrate presents us with a new collection of anthologies, crafted through a distinctive and intriguing combination of true stories, adventures and experiences from her life.

Gina gifts us with poems drawn from the depth of her soul. Some of the factual novellas were drawn directly from the author’s interesting life experiences, events and travel. Others were drawn purely from imagination.

Due to the success of her first award winning novel, The English Professor, Iafrate is developing a new novel titled The Professor's Daughter. The story follows the life of Gracy Robertson who, with her father Andrew, manages to evade the mobsters still in pursuit. After the death of her father, Gracy's saga continues, guided by Andrews's lessons in kindness and love.

Recovery From Alcoholism And Drug Abuse Can Be Achieved Through Faith, Hope And Courage Says Harriet Hunter, Award-Winning Author Of Miracles Of Recovery

Hunter's award-winning book, “Miracles Of Recovery: Daily Meditations Of Hope, Courage and Faith,” features 365-powerful daily inspirations based on the A.A. 12 Step Program.

Alcoholism is not a recent phenomenon. Alcoholism and other forms of addiction have been with us for thousands of years. Unfortunately, the situation is worsening today. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration found increases in all categories and age groups in their 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. COVID, and all of its residual hardships, have dramatically accentuated the number being reported, including deaths from alcoholism, drugs and suicide.

Nobody is immune. Those who suffer from alcoholism can be found from the boardroom to the mail room. Celebrities who have battled alcohol addiction include the late Amy Winehouse, Shia LaBeouf, Bradley Cooper, Mel Gibson and Janeane Garofalo to name a few. Some of our coworkers, some of our neighbors and most likely some of our family members continue to suffer, most often in silence from alcoholism and drug abuse.

While there are many treatment approaches and programs, what is common to all successful individuals within a substance abuse program is the pain and the loneliness shared, together with an ongoing support system for the person battling the disease. That support system is what Harriet Hunter provides in Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage and Faith.

Featuring 365-daily inspirations. Miracles of Recovery was written not just for those addicted, but for the parents, the spouses - anyone touched by the disease because addiction is absolutely a family affair. Using the 12-Steps as its foundation, Miracles of Recovery embraces a holistic solution as a practical approach for those who must face life on life's terms, clean and sober. Encouraging and thought-provoking, Miracles of Recovery inspires with Universal Truths, “because,” Harriet says, “Once we know better, we do better.” Miracles of Recovery is written to show through example how to achieve long-term sobriety, regardless of what happens in one's life and brings a personal, sometimes raw reflection of the truth about addiction seldom seen elsewhere.

The new book encourages readers to embrace healthy, positive thoughts by taking the necessary actions to reinforce this new way of thinking. Miracles of Recovery provides the tools necessary to work the 12 Steps and change one's life by changing one’s perspective. It suggests that readers "Do life differently," through exercises, solutions, and methods to improve self-esteem, confidence, and embrace a profound sense of hope needed to succeed. The author encourages the reader to embrace the belief that, regardless of challenges life presents, “NOTHING can change the course of recovery when you keep yourself, your sobriety, and your Higher Power first in your lives.” In short, Miracles of Recovery offers hope where there is none through a simple program of actions for complicated people.

“Without the gift of desperation, (where we see ourselves overlooking the great crevasse of life or death,) we would never be able to face our own denial enough to admit that alcoholism and drug addiction are diseases of perception and that we would die trying to overcome,” Hunter stated. “In chronic drinkers gravely affected, we understand that alcoholism is progressive which makes it particularly deadly. People die not because of lengthy years of sobriety, and then they slip, but rather because they forget we are never cured, only through abstinence. We are not, ‘Like normal people, nor will we ever be.’ For instance, those of us in long-term recovery understand that once we cross that imaginary line of no return into alcoholic or drug insanity, we can never return to a normal life. We’ve heard it said ‘We cannot change a pickle back into a cucumber.’ We live with and understand the depth of our allergy, the psychological and long-term, often irreversible physiological effects our disease has on us.

“Alcoholism is well documented as being a three-fold disease that, once we pass through the phenomenon of craving, affects us physically, emotionally and spiritually. This is not a situation of weakness, of sloth, or of being pulled up by our bootstraps. ‘If it were that easy to quit there would BE no alcoholism!’ ‘We are drinking to overcome a craving beyond our mental control.’ (Taken from AA, page xxx}”

Hunter has received rave reviews for her work from readers and reviewers alike. Vernita Taylor of Readers Favorite stated, “Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage, and Faith by Harriet Hunter is a great choice if you’re struggling with addiction because it offers a full year of inspiration and affirmations which I enjoyed. I see this book as a mentor or sponsor that is walking by your side and helping to lead you to a better, more improved you while teaching you how to deal with your stressors. The best teacher is someone who has been there and done that and this book doesn’t disappoint. The author knows first-hand what it takes and how it feels to be addicted, and the journey to recovery. If you need help along your journey, pick up a copy of this book; it’s highly recommended.”

Anthony Capozzolli of Dismantled Life Podcast said, “Miracles of Recovery has been a feast for my recovering soul. Every page is filled with love and helpful insights that lead to discovery. I read each page by date and randomly turn to other pages for an additional spiritual hug when I need one. It’s almost as if Harriet wrote her wonderful book for me. Page after page hits so close to home I often tear up from positive awareness and clarity of emotion.”

Miracles Of Recovery received the first place President’s Award in nonfiction from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association.

Since her walk into recovery in 1999, Harriet has had one primary purpose: to show others how they can achieve their miracles with a vision and determination to never, ever go backwards, one day at a time.

Harriet strives to be a conduit of encouragement to others in their disease of alcoholism and drugs of choice, by showing them what works. Using practical tools, principles and promises as found in Alcoholics Anonymous and other literature, she attempts to mirror examples of how anyone can be free from the bondage of self, regardless of their situation.

Those who purchase a signed copy of Miracles Of Recovery from her website will also receive a no-charge copy of "Your Daily Reprieve; How To Maintain Long-Term Sobriety Serenely One Day At A Time" in PDF format.

Harriet Hunter has also developed a six-module course for individuals who thrive on personal insight and emotional growth as they seek to connect the dots of their lives. Journaling with a Purpose! is a thought-provoking, sometimes intensive exercise for self-seekers who want more from lives. Its focus is emotionally therapeutic and entertaining, as participants look inside themselves for resilient, positive changes to solutions and characteristics they expect more from. During the course worked on one’s own time, Harriet is never far away. She hosts two web-based meetings, while delivering videos, offers no-charge gifts, handouts and many prompts that encourages and explains what the writer can expect with each module. More information is available at her website.

Harriet Hunter is available for media interviews and speaking engagements and can be contacted using the information below or by email at serenelywritten@yahoo.com. An autographed copy of the paperback, Miracles of Recovery is available on her website or online by at Amazon. More information, including the journaling course, no-charge audios, handouts and other gifts and programs can be found by visiting https://www.harriethunter.org.

Cancer Healed: New Memoir Offers Women's Guide To Lasting Contentment And Freedom By Aligning With Love

The new book, Aligned, is set for special promotion on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2021

Author Pamela Herzer was completely healed of cancer after all medical means had failed. As Pamela radically changed the way she related to life’s challenges by aligning with Love, she was healed and her life became new again. To share this extraordinary story, she wrote her first book, 'Healed: A Divinely Inspired Path to Overcoming Cancer', published in 2019 by Difference Press.

“There was so much more to say and to share,” the author said. “The first book told the story of the healing. But I began to realize that it’s living in alignment with spiritual truths of the universe that keeps us protected, keeps us in sync with God’s will.”

The result is 'Aligned: The Essential Guide to Feel God’s Love and Trust the Answers Within'.

“My books are not intellectual,” Herzer explained. “These are ‘heart’ books to move and inspire us to notice what is already true. ‘Align with Love and trust the answers within’ is the real subject of this new book.”

In keeping with her “living from the heart” theme, the new book has its official launch on Valentine’s Day.

Born of a deep conviction that there is a way to live a happier, more connected life, Pamela spent years struggling with and overcoming emotional abuse, family violence, and cancer. Through removing her own limiting beliefs and learning the power of divine Love, she discovered the importance of a relationship with God, and can now help her followers do the same.

Key points in her book include: Listening to inner-guidance, identifying life situations and toxic relationships that interfere with alignment, trusting answers from the inner heart-of-love, and resetting “worthiness” and “self-acceptance” meter in service to deeper levels of healing.

“Everyone deserves to discover true inner-peace,” the author continued. “If you’re ready to build a relationship with yourself through divine Love, read Aligned today.”

Pamela Herzer is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information shown below or by email at Info@PamelaHerzer.com. Healed: A Divinely Inspired Path to Overcoming Cancer and Aligned are available at online retailers. More information is available at her website at http://www.PamelaHerzer.com.

WWII Planes And The Heroes Who Flew Them Featured In Gripping WWII Novel, Everything We Had, By Author Tom Burkhalter

Tom Burkhalter writes gripping stories in the tradition of James Jones, W.E.B. Griffin and C.S. Forester, that share a no-nonsense view towards war and an attention to substance that is extraordinary.

Author Tom Burkhalter has announced the release of his new WWII novel, Everything We Had: a Novel of the Southwest Pacific Air War, November-December 1941. Setting the path for subsequent works, WWII aviation takes center stage in Everything We Had, enhanced by a level of technical and historical detail that is unparalleled. Every paragraph of the book maintains a laser-sharp focus on providing the reader with an experience that will take them into the very heart and soul of WWII.

Burkhalter has received rave reviews for his work. One reviewer said, “Buy it, read it and tell everyone you know. Tom Burkhalter is as good as Clancy and Griffin.” Mark Lardas, writing in the Daily News of Galveston County, wrote of Everything We Had that it “feels like a book which could have been written in the 1950s or 1960s by a veteran of the Pacific War.”

In November of 1941, Japan surrounds American possessions in the Philippines with overwhelming force on three sides. The US Army makes a desperate attempt to reinforce the Philippines garrison, but the clock is also ticking for the Japanese. The armed forces of Imperial Japan may attack the Philippines at any moment.

Two brothers, Jack and Charlie Davis, are pilots in the US Army Air Forces. They are part of the reinforcements sent to the Far Eastern Air Force, charged with air defense of the Philippines.

“I wrote this book,” Burkhalter stated, “To keep alive the memory of America, fighting in that time and place with our backs to the wall.”

Subsequent books by Tom Burkhalter include:

A Snowball’s Chance: a Novel of the Pacific Air War, January-February 1942

The victorious Japanese come south in overwhelming numbers. The Allies send Jack and Charlie Davis and their friends, outnumbered and in obsolescent airplanes, to help the British and Dutch attempt to stop the Japanese Army and Navy. As the Dutch say, “Luck to the fighters.”

Boxcar Red Leader: a Novel of the Pacific Air War, May 1942

The Imperial Japanese Navy sails to invade Port Moresby, the last Allied base between the Japanese and Australia. It the Japanese take Port Moresby, Australia’s supply line to the United States will be cut. Jack Davis is sent to Port Moresby to command a flight of untrained young pilots flying a dangerous airplane no one wants, the P-39D Airacobra. Charlie Davis, now flying the B-17E Bronco Buster II, flies dangerous reconnaissance missions looking for the Japanese fleet. The Allies have lost the Philippines and Java. Can they hold Port Moresby?

Thanks for the Memories: a Novel of the SW Pacific Air War, July-September 1942

The Japanese invade Papua New Guinea’s north coast to try to capture Port Moresby overland. Still outnumbered, improvising repairs to their tattered airplanes and suffering from jungle diseases, the Americans and Australians fight in the air and on the ground as the Japanese slog over the Kokoda Track through the rugged Owen Stanley Mountains, with the prize of Port Moresby before them. The fighting, in the air and on the ground, nears a last-ditch effort for the Allies.

The New Kids: a Novel of the Air War on the Home Front, September 1942

Jack and Charlie Davis have survived nine months of vicious air fighting. When they get home new challenges wait for them, challenges of long-deferred love, of living with memories, and the responsibilities laid on combat-proven pilots and leaders as new pilots arrive to train for a different air war over Europe. They survived the Pacific, but the war has only begun.

Shoestring's End: a Novel of the Pacific Air War, Dec 1942 - March 1943

Shoestring’s End begins as the disastrous year of 1942 ends. The Japanese toehold on the northern New Guinea coast, remnant of their advance almost to the gates of Port Moresby, has nearly been wiped out. The Japanese focus their efforts on reinforcing their forward base at Lae, on the Huon Gulf. The mission of the 5th Air Force is to cut off Lae. They must do this while fighting at the end of a shoestring, a supply line ten thousand miles long, using airplanes like the much-patched B-17E Bronco Buster II or the worn P-39D Airacobras of the 35th Fighter Group. New airplanes and new tactics arrive in an uncertain trickle. The Allied infantry, Australian and American, based in New Guinea, are exhausted from fighting and jungle diseases. If the Japanese reinforce Lae, the outcome of the war in the SW Pacific will remain unpredictable.

Author And Former Cop Vincent Casale Announces New Fiction Novel About NYPD Police Officers And Community Relations, Beat Cop CPOP 1986

Published by Van Velzer Press, Casale's new book is not a detective novel or crime novel. Instead, it presents a fictional account of the day to day experience of a New York City policeman assigned to the CPOP Unit.

Author Vincent Casale has announced the release of his latest fiction novel, Beat Cop CPOP 1986. While the book is entirely fiction, Casale has drawn on his personal experience, having been one of the first NYPD officers assigned to the unit.

Beat Cop CPOP-1986 is the tale of young New York City policeman assigned to the newly implemented Community Patrol Officers Program. The concept of CPOP was to advance police /community relations by putting the cop back on the beat, door to door, store to store. The male protagonists are flawed men, using unnecessary cynicism and hedonistic night-life adventures to shield their emotions. The female lead, Ann Caputo, is born wired to believe she can make a difference in a professional world dominated by male ego. Will that stay true when she can’t protect herself from a violent assault and the guilt that engulfs her?

Frank Colleri and his policemen cohorts are a study in the psychology of young cops facing danger, enduring conflict, and learning empathy or staying devoid of feeling. They own issues of divorce, drinking, and machismo, all while witnessing the worst in life.

When the Police Commissioner learns of sexual assaults occurring in his daughter’s neighborhood, he orders all CPOP members to help detectives with individual cases, by converging on and aiding crime victims.

"This book was years in the making and will take many a reader back to the 1980s and a glimpse into the psyche of young cops," Casale stated. "It is not a detective novel or chasing bad guys adventure. It is simply a year in the life of young policemen assigned to the NYPD Cpop Unit.

"Beat Cop of course, was initially written for entertainment in the way of Pulp Fiction. Interestingly enough, the current state of affairs regarding police and community interactions is also a theme in my book. There is an insight to the young policemen who travel from their Long Island suburban homes to work in the so-called multi-cultured mine-fields of New York City.People and places with various cultural backgrounds they had never encountered. CPOP was formed for this purpose 30 years ago and the elements of that program still apply today in an attempt to put a band-aid on police and community relations.”

Casale is also the author of The Coparazzi, a memoir of his experience with celebrities while assigned to the NYPD's Movie and TV Unit from 1989 - 1992. During those years he worked on set with hundreds of celebrities, including Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Hallee Berry, Cindy Crawford and many more.

The Coparazzi has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers alike. Ed Dee, retired NYPD Lieutenant stated, "This is not just another cop book. No way. In this well written and fast paced story Vincent Casale takes the reader behind the yellow tape of scores of movies and tv shows shot on the streets of NYC. From his unique perspective Casale shows the reader how it’s done and we see virtually every major actor in unguarded, off camera, and entirely human moments. The author writes with the infectious enthusiasm of a movie fan, but he sees with the clear eyes of a cop. A great combination, a great read.”

Vincent Casale is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at vcarazzi@outlook.com. Both books are available at online book retailers. Beat Cop CPOP 1986 is also available from Van Velser Press. More information is available at his website at https://thecoparazzi538162347.wordpress.com/

About Vincent Casale:

Vincent Casale is a retired NYC police officer with 20 years of service. From the years 1989 through 1992 he worked in NYPD’s elite Movie-TV Unit. During that time he was privy to the exciting world of movie making on the streets of New York. A life-long movie fan, he was happy to be a small part of “Hollywood on the Hudson”.
