Proof Of The Afterlife Will Likely Not Be Found By Science Says Brian McLaughlin, Author Of 'A Flight Without Wings, My Experience With Heaven'

McLaughlin's book about his NDE details his totally unique near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no preaching and no hidden agenda. He believes both science and spirituality are correct

A recent article on the Telegraph website entitled "First hint of 'life after death' in biggest ever scientific study" presented information that was published in the journal 'Resuscitation'. A group of University of Southampton scientists spent four years and looked at 2,000 cases in which patients suffered cardiac arrests. The information was gathered from 15 hospitals in the US, the UK and Austria. Dr David Wilde, a research psychologist at Nottingham Trent University, was quoted in the article, stating, "There is some very good evidence here that these experiences are actually happening after people have medically died."

There is a huge divide between science and spirituality. On one side stand the scientists who believe that the near death experience cannot be proven scientifically. On the other side are those of faith, who believe that the near death experience is real nevertheless. Brian McLaughlin, author of 'A Flight Without Wings, My Experience With Heaven' believes both sides are correct. A mental experience cannot be proven scientifically. Yet there is no doubt that something has happened during that mental experience. Even Albert Einstein was open to the possibility that the "spookiness" of some aspects of quantum physics could be the result of something science was not able to measure at the time.

In a recent interview McLaughlin stated:  “How can science prove or disprove what you believe? It can’t.  Scientists look for proof of an afterlife, when in fact using the typical methods with today’s theories, really IS impossible. Often times, in debates of this issue, the science end of the spectrum try to get answers from the 'believer' end of the same spectrum. People in general are hanging on to every thread and breakthrough on the consciousness after death argument. This is just the wrong way to investigate this phenomenon.  Dr. Ray Moody alluded to the same suggestion as Albert Einstein.  They both suggest to some degree that science and scientific theory has to catch up to human realities.

"The nature of a Near Death Experience (NDE) is cerebral. All physical properties of one’s body are left behind. Believing in the afterlife requires a certain measure of faith, or spirituality. The concept of God surely is one that science cannot prove or disprove.  It falls into a realm which lies beyond our 5 senses and 3 dimensions.

"During my own NDE, I experienced telepathic type communication. Information, along with understanding and clarity were filling me like a dry sponge. It was almost exhausting.  When I returned, I realized that I had no sense of time there, and from the knowledge and understanding I came back with had to be done at lightning speed as I was only there for a short time (assuming).

"As you might imagine, this would be as hard to prove as any other facet of the experience.  I am comfortable with the cryptic nature of the event because I have had 20+ years of epiphanies that have validated the event for me.  There is more than enough room here for both sides to be right… The perspective just comes from a different direction in each case.”

A Flight Without Wings' offers us a look at the near death experience from an unbiased point of view. It is the presentation of the material that sets this book apart from the other books about the near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment and no hidden agenda. While his book has a spiritual flavor certainly, there is no preaching and no religious messages. It is his near-death experience, just as it happened.

McLaughlin's experience changed the course of his life forever.  It instilled in him what we all seek - certainty about life after death. And with that a peace of  mind that can never be shaken, nor can it be doubted. His near death experience brought a sense of clarity. It brought a sense of real, lasting peace. He now knows with certainty that we exist forever. It is that simple message he brings to his audience, both through his book and at his speaking engagements.
