Melissa Pettignano, Author of Suzanne Lantana, To Be Featured Interview On The Authors Show Radio

Primary character Suzanne Lantana teaches positive life lessons and coping skills to teens and pre-teens

[Secaucus NJ, January 28, 2009] Melissa Pettignano, author of Suzanne Lantana, will be featured on The Authors Show radio version on January 30, 2009. Ms. Pettignano will be discussing how the lessons presented by the primary character in her book, Suzanne Lantana, can help teens and pre-teens begin to develop effective life skills and coping mechanisms.

“Suzanne Lantana is a collection of short stories,” stated Ms. Pettignano, “that have personal meaning and offer pertinent life lessons for young girls. The primary character is a fun-loving girl with a lot of heart, mind and soul. She has her own very strong points of view and her own unique mindset. These are the qualities that make Suzanne so very special. Her approach and her attitude towards the situations life throws her way are revealed in such a way as to be a model for how young girls can effectively function in various situations and relate to the world in a positive manner.”

The book follows Suzanne from fifth grade to eighth grade graduation. Each story demonstrates a learning situation and a different approach to situations meaningful to teens and pre-teen girls. Suzanne is a girl who sticks up for herself and wants others to learn to do the same. From experiencing jealousy to fighting, from rekindling friendships to losing loved ones, Suzanne begins to grow up with the help of her faith, family and friends.

Author Melissa Pettignano is 21 years old and has been writing since she was a small child. In addition to being a writer, she is also a musician, singer, dancer and an actress. She has won numerous awards for both singing and writing. Suzanne Lantana is her first book.

Ms. Pettignano's interview will be featured on The Authors Show radio version, www.TheAuthorsShow.com on January 30, and will be in rotation on that date. More information is available at both The Authors Show radio website and at www.SuzanneLantana.com.
