Society in Turmoil: Dr. Richard Ruhling Says We Must Learn To Navigate Faith, Chaos, And Hope Amidst Rising Tensions And Immorality

Dr Ruhling sees climate change, wars, famine, pandemics and violent crimes bringing Biblical End-Times.

With 65-75% of US identifying as Christians, an increasing number wonder what the world is coming to. A teen is sentenced to life in prison for vehicular homicide, and society is torn by factions politically, racially, financially and by religion. Some say Allah will punish the Great Satan (US) and others say Christ will snatch them to heaven. The pre-occupation of illicit lifestyles has millions living torn lives portrayed by Hollywood in an unreal world becoming real, as headlines become increasingly bizarre and readers wonder what the future holds.

Dr. Richard Ruhling is a retired physician in his 80’s and he has seen a lot of life. He believs people are becoming crazy with negative emotions of fear, hate, anxiety, some of it due to drugs, and some due to fictional media they feed on. “The devil made me do it” may be increasingly true for crimes unimaginable. Is there any hope for society?

“Yes and no,” says Ruhling, “depending on choices. These include turning from the negatives of fictional movies and lifestyles of substance abuse (abnormal use of unnatural foods, beverages or drugs). Vegans, for example, may have fewer problems with all of the above than a teenager trying every new thing on a dare.

"Poking a pin in an electrical socket may be normal at 2 or 3, but at 20 or 30, it’s not cool and time to get off the merry-go-round that seeks social approve for wild ideas. Like Step 1 for the Alcoholics Anonymous or Over-eaters Anonymous, people need to admit their lives are unmanageable and come to believe that a Higher Power is needed to restore sanity. Turning our lives over to God as we understand Him may seem radical, but it has worked for countless people and all ages," said Ruhling.

He notes that a junk food diet ruins the body, but healthy food can reverse the process. So it is with our mental diet. The Spanish word for library is biblioteca—bible tech. The Bible is like a library with excellent information on many subjects. History thought to be fiction, like the Exodus of a million people from Egypt to the Promised Land is supported by the finding of chariot wheels under the Red Sea, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIQ-QAKTqZc&t=10s

Ruhling says he was taught that Moses wrote the first comprehensive health code. Animals to be eaten were carefully inspected and neither the fat nor blood was eaten. That might drop heart disease and cancer from the top of our causes of death today, says Ruhling, adding that prescription drugs are also a major factor for many diseases and death.

Moses also wrote laws that have preserved the Jewish nation in spite of many adversities for centuries. The book of Psalms is an example of poetry that feeds or strengthens emotions and Proverbs has been considered a book excellent for business principles. Daniel’s book on prophecy was cited by Christ when asked about end-times.

Critics who don’t wish to believe the Bible’s claim on their lives say it’s prophecies were written hundreds of years later, but anyone familiar with Daniel can see accuracy that spans 2500 years to our time in Daniel 8:17. “The vision at the time of the end” is a conflict between the political cartoons of a Muslim ram and a goat that flies from the west to breat its horns (militancy) of Medes and Persians that are now Iraq and Iran.

The imagery of a lion, bear, leopard and dragon represent “four kings that shall arise” in end-times. "The lion fits the UK, the bear represented Russia in political cartoons when I was a child," said Ruhling. "The dreadful 4th beast represented Rome and Protestant reformers saw the emergence of a diverse little horn becoming great and doing what the papacy did."

Readers may wonder how we get to end-times from here. Ruhling sees Iran’s nukes and missiles as trouble for Israel cited as victory for Islam in Zechariah 14, but short-lived as they celebrate “Allah has no Son.” Joel 3 says, “The Lord shall roar from Jerusalem…the heavens and earth shall shake” and they will flee, but that earthquake initiates the end-times that we may expect to see soon. A series of events will bring judgment to our world.

Dr. Ruhling is available for speaking engagements and media interviews and can be contacted (below) or by email, ruhling7@juno.com. For more information, visit http://healthhappinessdestiny.com/blog-2.

About Dr. Richard Ruhling:

After Internal Medicine training and board certification, Ruhling had a Cardiology Fellowship before teaching at Loma Linda’s School of Public Health. Attending a cardiology convention, he heard Pritikin reporting how a low fat, low cholesterol diet reversed heart disease and got 85% of patients off their drugs for diabetes and blood pressure. Ruhling developed a Total Health Seminar to help people with positive lifestyle changes to avoid high-risk Rx drugs. At 82, Ruhling claims excellent health and may be contacted by corporations to cut their medical costs, or by churches, book clubs for speaking.

Bestselling Author Jack Billups Announces My Vietnam: A Gift To My Daughter Audiobook Has Debuted As An Amazon Hot New Release

Billups’ book is a stunning piece of writing that will likely take its place as one of the best Vietnam memoirs ever written.

Our society should never forget the Vietnam War.

Even today, so many years later, echoes of the Vietnam War resonate through our society, etching profound and enduring marks upon the lives of soldiers and their families. A haunting blend of physical wounds and invisible psychological scars were burned into the bodies and minds of the soldiers who served in Vietnam.. Simultaneously, families bore their own cross, grappling with a constant tempest of anxiety, fear, and trepidation while their loved ones were deployed. The relentless gnaw of worry for their safety exacted an immeasurable emotional toll.

After their harrowing experience, many veterans confronted challenges in reacquainting themselves with civilian life. For some, the country they returned to seemed like a foreign land, where job prospects dwindled, and the threads of societal reintegration frayed. As the war drums faded, some returning veterans found themselves buffeted by waves of criticism and animosity. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) loomed large among their ranks.

Yet, amid all this strife and suffering, glimmers of a different tale began to shine through – one that unveils the unexpected power of a cataclysmic war to bind strangers, friends, and families in extraordinary unity. “My Vietnam: A Gift To My Daughter” stands as a beacon of this alternate narrative. This story delves into the heart of the Vietnam veterans and their families, threading a poignant exploration of the bond between a daughter and her father, a “grunt” who once trod the battlefields of Vietnam and lived to write a tale that has enthralled readers and reviewers alike.

The ebook version attained #1 status in the “Biographies of the Vietnam War” category. The audiobook has debuted as an Amazon Hot New Release.

The softcover, ebook and audiobook versions of “My Vietnam A Gift To My Daughter” are available at https://www.amazon.com/My-Vietnam-Gift-Daughter/dp/B0C4W1DD2Q/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2J5FN0M9DYIUY&keywords=my+vietnam+billups&qid=1692229963&sprefix=my+vietnam+billups%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-1.

Billups’ memoir puts the reader into a pair of combat boots, and allows them to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch the Vietnam combat experience in vivid detail. That is but part of the story.

George C. Colclough, Col. Inf (retired) US Army, former president, and CEO of Smith & Wesson, stated in the introduction to the book, “Just another Vietnam War book? Certainly not, Jack takes you down two roads as he embarks on one remarkable journey with his daughter. First, Jack effectively articulates his story in such a way that puts the reader into the boots of a grunt, causing them to feel what he felt, and understand the daunting challenges of those who traveled the Vietnam jungle.

“Secondly, Jack and his daughter continued this remarkable adventure as they traveled back to Vietnam to return to the places where her father had so many vivid experiences. A wonderful story!”

What really sets this bestselling memoir apart is Billups’ writing style. There is no pretense; nothing feels forced or contrived, made up or embellished. Billups presents his real-life characters in such a way as to make the reader feel intimately familiar with each of the members of his very young band of brothers, warts, and all. Billups tells it exactly as it was.

His style holds through the second part of the book, describing his return to Vietnam and the jaw-dropping changes now evident in modern day Vietnam. One of the highlights of the second part of the book is the reunion, bringing those somewhat innocent young men back together many decades later as mature men. Readers will get a vivid look, from many points of view, at how the Vietnam experience changed the lives of those who lived through that experience.

It is also a compelling memoir that reconciles America and Vietnam, then and now, including the culture shock of seeing Vietnam as it exists today. It offers a heartfelt and heartwarming message to the people of both countries, and a greater understanding of what the old song “Ruby” called “that crazy Asian war.”

Readers and reviewers alike have praised ‘My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter’. It has been called “A beautiful journey to healing,” and “A thought-provoking and introspective Vietnam memoir”. One reviewer said, “The book was so good, I was sad when I finished it.” Another stated, “Jack’s memory of his time in Vietnam has been beautifully detailed in his book. Not everyone wants to relive such a terrible page in our American history, but Jack was able to do a remarkable job talking about actual events that he lived through and came back home in one piece to give such a wonderful gift he has given to his daughter.”

Another wrote, “The book delivered on my husband’s hopes for a healing response to what our Armed Services faced over there. My husband usually can’t read much Vietnam War material due to PTSD. He read this in just a few days; it was that good. Our thanks to the author for undertaking this topic and telling his story.”

The book will make for an engaging read for veterans, spouses and children of veterans and others who have been impacted in any way by serving in any branch of the military, as the memoir includes the years leading up to, and after his service in Vietnam, including the effects his tour in Vietnam had on his family.

Jack Billups is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at myvietnam1949@gmail.com. ‘My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter’ is available at Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and audio formats. More information is available at Billups’ website at https://myvietnambook.com.

About Jack Billups:

As a 19-year-old Army volunteer, Sgt. Jack Billups received the Bronze Star with the V attachment. He was awarded the Air Medal, which went to those who participated in combat aerial missions. Assigned to the 1st Air Calvary infantry as a M60 machine gunner, Jack served in the steamy jungles near the Ho Chi Minh trail along the Cambodian border.

Jack grew up during the 1950s and early 1960s in a peaceful Southern California community populated by many senior citizens and dotted with chicken ranches. He is a dependable and talented “everyman” who makes no claim about his service in Vietnam except for being a patriotic American who did “the right thing” as he saw it. He maintained that attitude throughout his life. Asked to talk about his military experience by his daughter, he began writing it out, and ended up exposing 50-year-old forgotten memories and emotions about the jungle war, concluding with a trip back to Vietnam with his daughter.

Jody Sharpe, Bestselling Author Of 20 Moon Road, Takes First Place Nationally In 2023 National Federation Of Press Women's Professional Communications Contest

A former teacher, Sharpe has direct experience regarding the effect bullying has on children. She is the author of a number of award-winning books and videos that can help readers and viewers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

The news headlines today are is filled with stories of a world in turmoil, rife with heart-wrenching tales of violence, mass shootings, and the relentless churn of political discord. Author Jody Sharpe believes in the power of uplifting literature to help us transcend depression and anxiety, which helps illuminate a path towards healing and resilience. This is not an escape, but is instead a change of focus regarding how we view the world.

Sharpe's message resonates with readers. She recently announced that her bestselling novella, 20 Moon Road, An Angel's Tale, has taken first place honors at the National level in the National Federation of Press Women's annual Professional Communications Contest.

20 Moon Road: An Angel's Tale features a character from her Mystic Bay series, Madam Norma. Madam Norma is based on a woman who influenced Sharpe's life in a number of unforgettable ways.

Miracles still happen in the town of Mystic Bay, California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a former football coach, is surprised when his late best friend, the indomitable psychic Madam Norma, appears in spirit form and asks him to write the story of her life through her memories she will send him. Surprising to Angel Ken, Madam Norma saw thousands of angels since childhood.

Books by Jody Sharpe include:

To Catch an Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch an Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch an Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California, and only two people know it. First, there’s Hannah, a tender curly-headed half-angel. Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe, but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he's written a book exposing the secret to the world.

Town Of Angels - Angel vs. Bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well-kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children, all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as brute, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give in to the bully's efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angel sightings, angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer, and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match through the soft voices and intuitive minds of his neighbors.

Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women's At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It's a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life's journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life."

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

Special Needs Children followed her recently released children's book about angels, When The Angel Sent Butterflies. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear, and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

Her latest book, Summer Of Angels, is a mystery novel. Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force proves a force to be reckoned with as she moves back to her beloved Mystic Bay, California. While sleeping, an angel sent her a vision in a dream of a future event. Gayle realizes she must use her intuition to save an old man from drowning. But who is this old man?

With the help of intuitive attorney, Alex Knight, she finds they are caught in the middle of a future crime. But can Gayle and Alex solve the case and save the old man before it’s too late? With surprising twists and turns of intrigue and love, Gayle and Alex find there are angels at the helm as they help prove the bully never wins.

In addition, on the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real-life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters, and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

The valuable lessons she learned about moving forward and loving life in the now have set her on a mission to tell the stories with love, humor and spiritual awakening. Assisted Living: What You Need To Know Before You Make A Decision - Will I Lose My Personal Freedom Asks Frances Fuller, Bestselling Author Of Helping Yourself Grow Old

Best-selling author Frances Fuller offers an insider's view of assisted living and a unique outlook on aging, based on her own experience. Her insights are penetrating and deal with issues that many seniors and their families are concerned about.

Making the transition to assisted living can be a deeply emotional and challenging process. This is because entering an assisted living facility can and often does trigger apprehension and fear of losing one's freedom due to the significant shift in daily autonomy and decision-making. The prospect of relinquishing control over familiar routines, personal space, and choices can evoke a sense of vulnerability.

The move to assisted living can also symbolize a perceived loss of independence, as tasks once accomplished without aid might now require assistance. The structured environment, though well-intentioned, can inadvertently lead to feelings of dependence and constraint. It is not surprising that the fear of being separated from a familiar home environment and social circles can amplify concerns about losing the ability to engage in spontaneous activities and maintain a sense of agency. These fears often stem from a genuine desire to preserve control over one's daily activities. But is all of this really the case? Frances Fuller, bestselling author of 'Helping Yourself Grow Old' addressed this issue in a recent blog post titled, "Will I Lose My Personal Freedom?" In that post she wrote in part:

"Mildred knew the time was near when she should not live alone. She had lately locked herself out of the house more than once. That was a predicament! She frequently misplaced the credit card bill and had to pay a late fee. Not wanting to cook, she often ate a bowl of cereal and called it dinner. Everything had become more stressful: phoning the insurance company, finding a parking place, collecting the paperwork for the tax preparer. She also admitted to herself that she was a little bit afraid of slipping on the bathroom tiles; she had asked herself, What if?

"But Mildred dreaded the idea of living in a retirement home. She imagined it would be regimented, like the army. Everybody up at a certain time and to the dining hall, dressed for the public! And what if breakfast was pancakes when she was hungry for bacon and eggs? She just wanted to make her own decisions: when to go to bed and when to get up, what to eat, which channel to go to for the evening news, as well as what to do with her money.

"What Mildred didn’t know was the role of government in protecting the rights of the elderly in long-term care communities. If she would visit a few optional communities and chat with the residents about life there, she should discover that they have not lost control over their own lives. She might discover that she has rights she had not even thought of, and in a home for seniors her rights are protected by law.

"Every state in our country has an office on aging with local offices serving the elderly population in their cities. This program was established under the Older Americans Act of 1965, which was part of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society program. The states have local offices in the cities, and the network provides funding for such things as nutrition and health issues, along with elder rights programs.

"These offices also have teams of ombudsmen, responsible for protecting the elderly from every form of abuse. A full-time ombudsman directs the team, and one of the things members of the team do is to visit senior care residences and inform the residents of their rights. Not only do they provide in writing some of their principles, but they listen to the residents’ stories about life in the community. They stand ready to defend the rights of every resident to be treated with courtesy and respected as a person of worth and dignity, as well as to be served according to the terms of their signed contract.

"Because of this program, the elderly in long-term care communities may be more protected than those who are living with family. The sad truth is that in many families adult offspring of the elderly suspect a sibling of spending their parent’s money for their own benefit instead of providing food and medicine the parent needs. The sadder truth is that these suspicions are often true.

"In an elder-care home every resident has a contract, the right to know and understand its terms and the right to expect its promises to be fulfilled. And one of the duties of an ombudsman is to educate residents and their families about these rights. They can and often do go door to door in care homes and visit the residents to inform them of available services and listen to their complaints. Becoming aware of issues that need attention, they can then advocate for the elderly."

The full text of the piece is available at https://www.inborrowedhouseslebanon.com/will-i-lose-my-personal-freedom/.

Frances Fuller's book is unique among the many books on aging, because it is personal, while most such books are written from an academic point of view. Most are penned by sociologists, doctors, gerontologists, even the CEO of AARP, and one by a Catholic nun, Joan Chittister. Chittister's book, 'The Gift of Years' is beautifully written, focusing on spiritual values and finding meaning in life. Chittister admits in the preface that she was only 70, which is the front edge of aging, and her book is somewhat abstract.

Atul Gawande’s book, 'On Being Mortal', relates medicine and old age, It enjoys high Amazon rankings, in the category of “the sociology of aging.” It contains a great deal of valuable scientific information and shows understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

Frances Fuller’s book, 'Helping Yourself Grow Old, Things I Said To Myself When I Was Almost Ninety', is an up-close and very personal encounter with aging. It is an uncontrived and firsthand look at her own daily experiences: wrestling with physical limitations, grief, loneliness, fears, and the decisions she has made about how to cope with these and keep becoming a better person. She faces regrets and the need to forgive herself and others and is determined to live in a way that blesses her children and grandchildren.

Frances deals with many common, universal but sometimes private issues in an open, conversational tone. Her confessions and decisions invite self-searching and discussion. She tries to make sense of her own past and to understand her responsibility to younger generations. In the process she shares her daily life, enriched with memories from her fascinating experiences. Her stories and her voice — fresh, honest, irresistible — keep the reader eager for more. The end result is a book that helps create a detailed map through the challenging terrain of old age.

The result of this intimate narrative is that readers laugh, cry and identify with her mistakes and problems. Reviewers have called the book, “unique,” “honest,” “witty,” “poignant,” “challenging” and “life-changing.”

For these reasons it is a book unlike any other book on aging you will ever read. The book can serve as a primer on what lies in store for all of us, from someone who is working through many of these issues. While the book is a perfect fit for book clubs, there are many other individuals and groups who could benefit from the information and ideas in the book:

Those approaching retirement
People who are currently retired
Children of aging parents
Those who have lost a spouse
Retirement community discussion groups
Counselors
Educators
Life coaches
Church groups (men and women)

and a host of others. For group discussions, Fuller has made a set of discussion questions available at her website at http://www.FrancesFullerAuthor.com.

Readers have lavished praise on the new book. One Amazon review stated, "I find myself thinking,'I need to read this again and take notes!' It’s full of wisdom, humor, and grace. I also have committed to rereading it annually - it’s that important!" Another said, "There is valuable life experience in this book. Helping Yourself Grow Old is truly is a book for all ages, and one not to be missed." Another stated, "Beautifully written book telling timeless truths, for both the old and the young. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to laugh, cry, and learn wisdom from someone who has lived so much life."

Frances' prior work, 'In Borrowed Houses', has taken three industry awards and has achieved Bestseller status. Frances Fuller was the Grand Prize winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. It received the bronze medal for memoir in the Illumination Book Awards in 2014. Northern California Publishers and Authors annually gives awards for literature produced by residents of the area. In 2015 'In Borrowed Houses' received two prizes: Best Non-fiction and Best Cover.

Critics have also praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances has shared stories about her life in an interview with Women Over 70, and a recording is available on their Facebook page.

Speak From Your Heart and Be Heard By Dr. Kixx Goldman Offers Inspirational Stories Of Trauma, Courage And Healing

'Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard' contains fictionalized inspiring stories, based on real life and professional experience.

For those suffering from trauma of any kind, healing is of paramount importance, as it helps individuals to reclaim their lives, restore a sense of inner peace, and foster overall well-being. Trauma can affect a person deeply, emotionally and physically, leading to a range of symptoms and difficulties. Healing from trauma promotes resilience, empowering individuals to regain a sense of control, rebuild trust in themselves and others, and cultivate healthier coping mechanisms. This paves the way for personal growth, enhancing self-compassion and self-esteem, and empowers individuals to form healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Inspirational stories possess a remarkable power to facilitate healing and resilience in the face of trauma. By sharing tales of triumph over adversity, these kinds of stories can provide a source of hope and encouragement for individuals grappling with their own traumatic experiences. They can offer a sense of integration and connection, reminding survivors that they are not alone in their struggles, and that it is possible to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges and emerge stronger on the other side.

Inspiring stories can help provide a roadmap for healing, offering valuable insights, coping strategies, and the reassurance that recovery is attainable. Readers can find solace, inspiration, and the motivation to embark on their own journey of healing and growth.

This healing process is the focus of Dr. Kixx Goldman's most recent book, 'Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard'. In this book, Dr. Goldman explores the nature of intuition and resilience. When people honor their intuition, the "little voice" inside, and speak openly about their feelings, they thrive in their relationships.

The eight engaging fictional stories in this collection are personal, drawn from experiences in Dr. Kixx's life and the lives of her clients. The characters are tested by everyday traumas . . .

• A devoted father and his daughter find hope in rewriting their past.
• With remarkable grit, a teacher escapes a surprise attack.
• To heal his childhood wounds, a man must conquer his fears.
• A therapist defies the establishment to protect her clients.
• As she confronts the church, a therapist regains her standing.
• A woman learns the risks of not speaking out.
• By sharing her story and bonding with peers, a woman overcomes her trauma.

As the characters in these stories find the courage to triumph over their challenges, they heal and grow.

Inspired by real life people, characters show us how we can find the courage to transform difficult and traumatic life experiences, speak our truth and reclaim our power. 'Speak from Your Heart' offers the reader a guided tour of unique and powerful approaches to healing trauma. An added feature and treat for readers, Behind the Scenes reveals more about the source of the stories.

"This book is about Bringing our Stories to Life. And it’s about how writing can change your life,” Goldman noted.

“Creating this collection of short fiction has been transformative. After my children were grown, I had time to rediscover fiction.

“That’s when I decided to follow writer Toni Morrison’s advice, ‘If there’s a book you really want to read but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.’

“Before I knew it, I began to write about my life and the words flowed. Stories animated by my personal experiences, and my professional work with clients, made their way onto the page. Filtering the stories through the lens of fiction helped to breathe life into the characters and illuminate their relationships.

“I reached into the recesses of my soul to create these stories.”

The book has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers. Leslie S. Greenberg, PhD, distinguished Research Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Psychology, York University said, " In each story, the characters' resilience is illustrated by how they transform difficult life stories into constructive final narratives. They find the courage to triumph over challenges to heal and they grow. The message of the book: speaking one's truth makes for desired change and healing."

In her review, Liz Moulden said, "The short stories from Speak From Your Heart And Be Heard have given me a second chance and a voice, the voice I never had. What's exciting about this book is each main character in these short stories experienced some kind of abuse/ trauma but each finds their inner voice. With help, they're able to heal. Anyone who has ever experienced abuse or trauma as I have will be able to see snapshots of themselves in these stories."

In addition, Dr. Goldman offers a treasure trove of related information on her blog. Her articles span topics from diversity to human relations, psychology, single parenting, immigration and children, marriage and family and much more. The blog can be found at her website.

Saving A Generation - The Alarming Dangers Of Social Media That Can Lead To Bullying, Anxiety, Depression And Loneliness, Addressed By Dr Barbara Becker Holstein In New Video

In the tradition of authors like Judy Blume, Dr. Holstein pushes the envelope in covering the challenges girls really face, without sugar coating it or downplaying the feelings or passions young girls experience, regarding things that are important to them at this stage of their development.

Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein's mission is to nurture the resilience and self-esteem of young girls. This effort resonates not only with mental health professionals, but also parents, grandparents, and educators alike. Today however, a formidable obstacle looms large: the pervasive influence of social media. Social media unleashes a host of challenges, making Dr. Holstein's mission more vital and urgent than ever before.

Excessive use of social media can lead to anxiety, depression, and feelings of loneliness and inadequacy, as children may compare themselves to others and face cyberbullying. Children can be targets of online harassment, which can have serious emotional and psychological consequences, affecting their self-esteem and overall mental health. Exposure to idealized and unrealistic images on social media can contribute to body dissatisfaction and unhealthy attitudes toward body image and appearance. Young children may feel pressured to conform to societal standards and engage in risky behaviors to fit in with their peers on social media. There is no end to the negative impacts social media has on young people. Dr. Holstein addressed these challenges in a recent video. In that video, she stated in part:

"When I was in elementary school. There may have been a bully on the playground who said something mean to me once in a while. There may have been a girl in my classroom, or maybe several girls that became a little gang, and when they had a birthday party, I wasn't included. Things like this did happen.

"However, think about the way it happens today. Now, when a young person is bullied, she may be checking social media every few minutes. Hour after hour to see if this person is continuing to bully her. She may even resort to try to hold her cell phone in the bed with her so she can see if anyone is still bullying her. Her life has become totally contaminated with the pressures of realizing that she is being bullied. She can carry that with her for hours and hours and days and weeks. So my advice to you, if you're a parent or responsible for a child, is to be totally involved in what your son or daughter are dealing with on social media. Make sure they understand you are here to help them. And you can. After all, you are a parent, you have every right to monitor what they are seeing and how they want to respond. In fact, it's your responsibility and it will make you feel good to take the responsibility your child will feel safer and it will lead to less extreme problems happening because of social media."

The video can be viewed at https://youtu.be/04MT1SZzqEs.

Dr. Holstein hopes to bring parents, teachers, librarians, grandparents and media together to accomplish one goal: Change in the lives of young people who suffer from anxiety and a growing sense of hopelessness and despair.

Dr. Holstein wraps Positive Psychology concepts in forms of media that young people find engaging, relatable and inspiring. These include:

Four bestselling, award-winning books (perfect for school libraries)

Four self-esteem workbooks for girls 8 and up

Award-winning films and coming of age selfie films

Podcasts

Dedicated websites

Stage plays

A library of articles

Ted-style talks

As a school psychologist and in her private practice, Dr. Holstein has worked with many children and parents, helping them to develop life skills in decision-making, recognition of their own talents, feel more courageous, and helping both kids and parents develop more successful inter-generational skills. Her last book, ‘Conflict and a Bit of Magic’, helps kids build self-esteem though reading the journal of a girl, identifying with the girl, and understanding they have more courage and resiliency than they thought they had. The book is based on the experiences of the already famous “girl” from 'The Truth, Diary of a Gutsy Tween' and 'Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen', and achieved bestseller status in the multi-generational families category.

Dr. Holstein’s latest workbook for kids, ‘Secrets’ achieved bestseller status in the ‘Teen & Young Adult Nonfiction on Depression’ category.

Dr. Holstein's cutting-edge presentations, most recently based on the Covid-19 pandemic issues, can be found on both YouTube, Vimeo and on the Roku channel and Amazon Fire TV, titled as 'The Enchanted Self Presents'.

Dr. Holstein recently created The Selfie Showcase, a new project emerging from The Selfie Project, that allows young people to voice their opinions on subjects that matter to young people, including the pandemic.

The Selfie Showcase allows kids, teens, and young adults ages 13 to 18 to candidly express their concerns, worries, observations and possible solutions by creating selfie videos or films around important subjects using a smartphone. Dr. Holstein's mission is to help rectify, in several ways, some issues young people face by giving them a chance to engage with others in meaningful ways about the anxiety and stress they must grapple with constantly.

Dr. Holstein is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at barbara.holstein@gmail.com.More information about the Selfie Showcase is available at http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com. The Truth About Big Pharma, Offered By Dr. Richard Ruhling

Dr. Richard Ruhling is a board-certified physician and taught Health Science at Loma Linda University.

“The Time of Your Life” was a film on time management—doing your A-1 priority each day, says Dr. Richard Ruhling who used the film in seminars on coping with stress. The idea is to identify one’s long-term goals and give them the best effort each day.

“Like a person with cancer, we might all wonder, ‘How much time do we have?’, says Ruhling. People with cancer have some rebellious cells that don’t obey the order and rules of the body, and America is like that, with a growing trend to lawlessness,” notes Ruhling.

He includes pharma, seen by Marcia Angell, MD, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, who authored The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us…

An example would be the statin drugs sold for heart disease and diabetes when only 1% of those who take them benefit significantly, according to a leading UK cardiologist in this interview with Tucker Carlson, https://youtu.be/w3MPnBpfrRk.

Ruhling retired 20 yrs ago when prescription drugs were shown to kill 106,000 in hospitals (Journal of American Medical Association, 4-15-1998) and 199,000 outpatients (Western Journal of Medicine, June, 2000) making medical care the #3 cause of death in the US.

Then the Archives of Internal Medicine reported a 2.7-fold increase in deaths from 1998 to 2005 (September 10, 2007) making medical care #1 cause of death with 824,000 deaths from Adverse Drug Reactions, defined as “properly prescribed, administered.”

The CDC has never mentioned medical care or adverse drug reactions in their top ten causes of death published yearly. Ruhling says they are greedy to recommend dozens of vaccines for tiny babies whose nervous systems are not fully developed. Japan has a much lower incidence of autism because they wait a year before doing some of the shots that US babies get, thanks to CDC's link with pharma.

Ruhling says most people (65-75% of US identify as Christians) could have been warned by the 18th chapter of Revelation where the Greek word, pharmakeia, ‘deceives all nations,’ but it’s badly translated as sorcery.” Ruhling blames catholic (universal) translators—Rome helped promote alchemy as a precursor to modern chemistry and medicine. Dr. Bryan Ardis reveals more from his research, https://www.brighteon.com/f803eef3-0bd2-4a7d-ae02-183877916a5d.

Ardis discovered that pharma uses snake venom in the covid shot, and Ruhling finds it amazing that again the Bible is thousands of years ahead showing Israelites died of serpents before they got to the Promised Land in Numbers 21. He says all Bible references to“physicians”have a negative context.

Most readers would be surprised that the FDA posted a warning re the covid shot in October, 2020, but media never published it—Biden gave them $1 Billion to promote the shot. When 32 people died in a nursing home after the shot, it didn't make the news—it wasn't what media wanted to say, says Ruhling, offering the link, https://www.fda.gov/media/143557/download (page down, page 16) to see this--

Ruhling is amazed at Bible relevance to our time. As an example, he cites a miracle at the pool of Bethesda in John's 5th chapter. The pool attracted a throng of weak, lame, blind, impotent people who loitered due to a myth that an angel would stir the pool and heal the first person to get into the pool.

"We have a pool of Bethesda—Bethesda, Maryland is the home of National Institutes of Health where our taxes are pooled to fund drug research to cure cancer and other diseases. It's also a myth—disease is usually caused by what we eat, drink or smoke, and pharma isn't looking for a cure. They want treatment centers where people can come for expensive drugs till life ends," says Ruhling.

He adds,“Drug action always represents artificial interference with the natural functioning of the organism. In the widest sense of the word, every drug is by definition a poison. Pharmacology and toxicology are one and the art of medicine is to use these poisons beneficially.”Drill's Textbook of Pharmacology in Medicine, Chapter 5, Mechanisms of Drug Action.

Ruhling was board-certified in Internal Medicine and finds that medical textbooks show that diseases are of “unknown etiology,” meaning they don’t know the cause. But if they don’t know the cause, how can their new drugs be the cure that drug reps say are the latest and greatest? asks Ruhling.

Ruhling is not against medical care for emergencies like an accident needing x-rays for broken bones or stitches, but he says chronic illness is usually caused by what we choose to eat, drink or smoke, and this includes Rx drugs—they all have a long list of adverse reactions in the Physician's Desk Reference.”

Top Motivational Speaker And Bestselling Author Rocky Romanella On Developing A Partnership Atmosphere In Your Organization

A highly sought keynote speaker, trainer and Forbes Contributor, Romanella is founder and principal of 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. He has over 40 years of leadership at Fortune 100's and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Director for UniTek Global Services, after retiring from a 36-year career with UPS.

Transforming from an employee to a true partner marks a profound shift in perspective. As Rocky Romanella, motivational keynote speaker and best-selling author recently stated,"Partnership involves a deep-rooted commitment. It involves thinking of the greater good rather than the individual good. A healthy and successful partnership requires an open mind, compromise, collaboration, and respect."

Picture this: As a business owner, envision the tremendous impact on your workplace if every individual within your organization embraced a sense of ownership and accountability for their roles. Cultivating a partnership-driven atmosphere can revolutionize your company's culture, bolster its efficiency, fuel unprecedented success, and ultimately drive significant improvements to the bottom line. Romanella passionately affirms that forging a partnership culture is the gateway to a thriving and flourishing organization. In his most recent newsletter, Romanella went on to say:

"One of the ways to promote and grow a partnership is by building upon the legacy of your organization and celebrating the common bond that you have as a leader in the organization.

"Partnership is a great honor and even a great responsibility, especially in an organization where there are financial incentives to ownership. The importance of these types of partnerships is that over time, as an owner, you get a greater share of the rewards as the company achieves excellence and profitability.

"The challenging part of this partnership equation is that as a financial owner, you have a heightened level of personal responsibility—you have skin in the game. To your fellow partners and members of your organization family, it means running every aspect of the business you touch as your own.

"To the people in your care—those brand new to the organization, optimistically looking towards a long-term career, and those who have ridden the storm of uncertainty and radical change post COVID—this may be a welcome sight and opportunity. What was old may now be what we need to be new!

"With this in mind, you have now become the model of what good looks like. Your actions reflect upon your people, and their actions reflect upon your customers and, more importantly than anything else, become your reputation. As you know, reputations can be created and destroyed in an instant, by even the simplest of acts.

"Regardless of if you choose to go "old school" with an ownership component or an incentive-type reward system for partnership, ideally, a partnership atmosphere has great benefits and promotes the desire for everyone in your organization to Act Like An Owner in all their decisions and encounters. When you act like an owner, you emulate the organization’s values and mission with each decision you make. You are the model of excellence and honesty, and integrity is at the core of all you do.

"Because you are committed to the long-term success of the organization, you focus on new ways to create solutions. You, especially, embrace change and ensure that those in your care understand and equally embrace it so they too can reap the rewards.
