The Authors Show Announces Grand Prize, Category Winners In 2018 Top Female Authors Awards

Winners were chosen in a number of genres including but not limited to mystery suspense thriller, biography/memoir, children's books, fantasy, fitness and others.

Danielle Hampson, Executive Producer of The Authors Show, has announced the winners of the 2018 Top Female Author Awards.

An award given for a single book impacts one book only. An award given to an author impacts all the works of that author, past, present and future. As in the world of film, some awards are for best movies, others are for best actors or actresses.  Using this analogy the 'Top Female Author Awards' bestows awards upon the writer, thereby increase the credibility of all books written by the author.

The 2018 Grand Prize went to:

Melanie S. Pronia, author of 'Descent', in the Mystery/Suspense Thriller genre. Pronia received a book marketing/publicity package valued at approximately $1200.

Category winners:

Tammy Bottner, author of 'Among The Reeds', in the Biography/Memoir category.

Angie Flores, author of 'Cub's Wish', in the Children's Book category.

Amy Reiley, author of 'Eat Cake Naked', in the Cooking/Food category.

Jenny Twist, author of 'All In The Mind', in the Fantasy/Horror/Paranormal/SciFi category.

Tammy Stackelhouse, author of 'The Fibromyalgia Coach', in the Fitness/Health/Wellness category.

Heidi M. Thomas, author of 'Seeking The American Dream', in the Historical Fiction category.

Donna Louis, author of 'Miracles Of Direction', in the Religion/Philosophy/Spiritual category.

A. S. McGowan, author of 'The Ghosts Of A Centaur', in the Romance category.

Linda Maria Frank, author of 'The Mystery Of The Lost Avenger', in the Young Adults/Teen category.

Mary Billiter, author of 'Spirited Away', in the Fiction, All Others category.

Twylia G. Reid, author of 'Broken Wings', in the Non-Fiction, All Others category.

Award contests must be viewed as being a marketing tool that should be an integral part of the marketing strategies designed by all authors.  It takes time to win awards, and the more awards authors win, the more recognition for their work they stand to receive.

The 'Top Female Authors Award' is an annual awards program sponsored by The Authors Show - "The Authors Marketing Powerhouse" - and is marketed through their substantial publicity outreach channels. This recognition produces instant credibility, a third-party endorsement and a lot of marketing value. Winners receive ongoing recognition and can use their winner status as marketing and publicity tools in hundreds of ways to increase sales.

More information on the winners of the 2018 awards and information on the upcoming 2019 awards can be reviewed by visiting http://www.TheAuthorsShow.com. Questions about the 2019 awards should be submitted to admin@theauthorsshow.com.

Special Needs Kids, Real Life Angels And Charlotte's Web Are Topics In New Installments Of 'Tuesdays With The Angels' By Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe

Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.

In the latest installment of 'Tuesdays With The Angels', Jody Sharpe, author of ‘The Angel's Daughter’ and 'To Catch An Angel', recently related a story about an angel story related to her by a serviceman.

"I met him at one of my book signings at The Payson Book Festival one July," Sharpe wrote. "I always ask those who come up to my table if they have ever encountered an angel. This was the first time I had asked anyone and I received a powerful story. The young man was in the service and was taking a swim in the ocean. There was an undercurrent and he started to drown. It was the end he thought but then a hand grabbed his hand and pulled him to the shore."

"On the beach he turned to thank the man for saving his life. There was no one there, no one nearby he told me. People rushed to him from other parts of the beach but no one had seen anyone help him. Since then the serviceman has thought the man saving him must have been an angel guiding him through the dangerous water to safety. This was the first of many angels stories I have been privileged to hear over the years… Believe in angels."

More is available at her website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

In her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series, Jody Sharpe presents quotes about angels drawn from several of her books and fascinating angel stories from herself and others who submit stories for publication.

New installments in the series include:

Tuesdays With The Angels - Angels Unaware

Tuesdays With The Angels - A Man Named Ken

Tuesdays With The Angels - The Serviceman

Tuesdays With The Angels - Charlotte's Web

Jody is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion on her 'Tuesdays With The Angels blog. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Angels and stories about angelic beings have been with us since Biblical times. While some people believe angels are real and do exist, others dismiss the possibility. There is tremendous interest in the subject. A Google search lists hundreds of millions of results. A number of videos on Youtube claim to have caught angels in action - on film.

Jody Sharpe knows angels exist. Her first book, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, was written in memory of her daughter Kate. Her second book, 'To Catch An Angel', was written in memory of her husband Steve.

Over a decade ago, when her daughter died tragically Sharpe faced down the most difficult challenge of her life. She was determined not to just merely survive, but to live; to honor the life of her beloved daughter, her twins, her husband and the rest of the rich life she had created before the tragedy. Blessed with an inherently positive outlook these trying times were strengthened by influences from the late Norman Vincent Peale to the children's book character, Wilbur the pig. For Sharpe, ministers of spirit and guidance took the form of angels. Sharpe's openness to change led her to write her first novel, 'The Angel's Daughter'. The story that takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, California and encompasses all Sharpe's attitudes about goodness, healing and moving on.

Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

Jody has announced the upcoming release of a new book about angels, 'Town of Angels'. In the storyline of the book, a secret lies in Mystic Bay, California where angels have appeared to children! The secret angels live as humans is safe for now but is it? As a bully, Klaus Waxman comes to town, Angel Ken Greer, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer, her family and the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, to thwart Klaus Waxman’s efforts with their soft voices and intuitive minds…

The new book is slated for release in 2019.

Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Sharpe's books have received a large number of rave reviews. A recent Amazon review stated, "This book would make a beautiful Christmas Hallmark movie. You will be left believing in Angels here on earth." Another said, "This a wonderful story that reminds us of the kindness and gentleness that exists in this world." Another stated, "Amazing. Most of all it is a feel good book and a must read.”

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Profile:

Jody Sharpe had a rewarding career as a Special Education teacher. Writing about angels became healing after losing her daughter and then her husband. The valuable lessons she learned about moving forward and loving life in the now have set her on a mission to tell the stories with love, humor and spiritual awakening. The fictitious town of Mystic Bay has given her an avenue to put characters and themes together hopefully enlightening the reader towards contemplation of the precious life and memories we are given.

Refugee Children: Why We Should Care And How We Can Help All Children - Julie Penshorn, Children's Book Author And Director Of Smart Tools For Life, Issues Statement

Smart Tools for Life provides memorable and engaging books and music for young children that enhance their “smarts” for problem-solving, empathy, and compassion, and sink deeply -- for life -- into children's hearts and minds.

Refugee children are now at the forefront of our reality. Every country struggles with what to do with the burgeoning numbers of people crossing borders to flee some sort of misery. Fundamental problems of governance and resource distribution create challenges far beyond the attention spans of most of us, as we navigate our busy lives.

So why should we care about these immigrants and/or refugee children? Even if a moral argument doesn’t sway us, it’s in our own self-interest to care. Logic leads to the simple conclusion that it’s much more expensive to treat illnesses than to prevent them.

While many Americans believe they are powerless to help with this problem, it is in fact within the grasp of every one of us to make a real difference - regardless of our location, education, economic status or political affiliation. Julie Penshorn, children's book author, Director of Smart Tools For Life, and expert in conflict resolution and anger management skills for children believes the answer lies in long-term efforts at building healthy communities with the capacity for empathy.

Building healthy communities starts with our own children, as the basic skills we teach to small children are essential for interactions throughout their lives. These skills can routinely be practiced in the home, the classroom, the workplace, and on the international level, to create trust, transform conflict, and enhance relationships.

Penshorn recently issued a statement on her website that offers these six simple suggestions for growing healthy communities:

1. Hold your child or grandchild in your lap and read a bedtime or daytime story. Pick an educational book like “The Barnyard Buddies STOP for Peace” or our new book “I Can See Peace”.

2. Demonstrate compassion as your child learns. Listen to them! Create realistic boundaries for behavior, and correct children in respectful ways when they make mistakes.

3. Listen when people that have different points-of-view try to convince you they are right and you are wrong. Don’t automatically shut them down. Listen with real open ears. Say, “I’ll have to think about that.” It’s very honoring to the other person to know they encouraged you to think. Don’t dismiss people out-of-hand because their opinions are different. Try to avoid unfriending them!

4. Watch and read diverse media. A singular media diet can become addictive and unhealthy, just like only eating one food!

5. Read books yourself and with your children that include multicultural and diverse individuals. That way the foreign becomes the familiar.

6. Learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences and their comprehensive consequences. Recent research shows how critically children are suffering in this country from the consequences of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs contribute to tremendous long-term suffering and health issues for both immigrants and our own population.

Penshorn encourages those seeking more ideas to visit her website: http://www.smarttoolsforlife.com. The Smart Tools for Life products include kids’ books and music, conflict resolution cubes to help children express their feelings, and wearables. There is also a free, downloadable coloring page for kids, based on the flagship children's book, “The Barnyard Buddies Stop For Peace.”

Penshorn is now making this book and music, and other unpublished books like 'I Can See Peace,' (currently available in Kindle only) available for corporate sponsorships and as fundraising tools for like-minded schools and preschools. She asks that anyone who would like to learn more contact her by email. 'I Can See Peace' will also be available as a print book on International Peace Day, September 21, 2018.

In Penshorn’s first children’s book, “The Barnyard Buddies STOP for Peace,” the Barnyard Buddies start with the letter S – which stands for STOP and breathe, and then go through a complete conflict resolution process using the letters S-T-O-P.

This process, which works equally well for adults, according to Penshorn, continues to an examination of feelings and concerns of each party, through brainstorming solutions and ends with making a plan. The stated goal is to enhance relationships, develop creativity, and recognize that conflict doesn’t have to be a win/lose proposition.

Author Julie Penshorn, MBC, is a the Director of the nonprofit, Growing Communities for Peace and champion of its Smart Tools for Life project. Penshorn co-authored an preK-3 curriculum on conflict resolution, complete with hands-on-learning tools, that is in use in over 13,000 locations. Now, she’s focusing her unique talents on children’s books and music and a blog-based approach to supporting peace literacy and building a culture of peace.

Author Julie Penshorn is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at julie@smarttoolsforlife.com. More information about the books, music and other products is available on the website at http://www.smarttoolsforlife.com.

About Smart Tools for Life:

Smart Tools for Life is an ongoing project of the nonprofit, Growing Communities for Peace. It provides memorable and engaging books and music for young children that enhance their “smarts” for problem-solving, empathy, and compassion, and sink deeply -- for life -- into children's hearts and minds. It makes it easy to bring social skills for peacemaking, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding, to young children, thereby encouraging more harmonious, sustainable relationships with others and the planet.

Their materials are designed to develop peace literacy as they educate, entertain, and empower all those involved to strengthen families, classrooms, and neighborhoods. They also provide other teacher and parent education to support and maintain a culture of peace.

Award Winning Author Bernard Fleury Announces Release Of 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution'

Fleury's highly praised book gives us an opportunity to build a bridge between science and spirituality.

Science vs spirituality. Religion vs evolution. Creationism vs biology. For centuries the human race has been engaging in the debate regarding which of these two opposing points of view offers the truth. In fact in may be neither. But perhaps it might just be both.

Award winning author Bernard Fleury believes it is both. That is the focus of his highly acclaimed book, 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution', a presentation of Teilhard de Chardin's concept of purpose-driven evolution.

Darwin's famous thesis that evolution proceeds by chance, groping, and the survival of the fittest could be the case until the advent of the first human, the first creature who knew that he knew. Thereafter, continuing change becomes more and more by plan. The human being begins to take charge of evolution. There is still some chance and groping, but much of it is really planned trial that results in either success or failure - and we try again.

God, the Light, is the architect of all that is. His will, when manifested, becomes the purpose behind everything, the inanimate, animate, and the thinking layers or spheres of the universe.

In this book, the author uses chronological evolution as the outline as we observe the foundations of our universe and the unfolding of the phenomenon of "man". The evolutionary process as explained in the Human Phenomenon, a new edition of de Chardin's The Phenomenon of Man (1965 English edition), as edited and translated from the French 1955 edition by Sarah Appleton Weber in 1999, is categorized under four parts:

Prelife
Life
Thought
Superlife

Nearly all of Bernard's books center squarely on the theme of Light as a Someone and a Something. He believes we are all Called Into Life By The Light. Life and Light are tied together. Lifelight describes their relationship best because both our “without” (our physical being) and our “within” (our spirit) are basically light in two different forms:

1. Physical energy that occupies space, has weight, can be measured, and

2. Psychic or spiritual energy which is a force that causes things to happen and, thus, real energy, but it does not occupy space, have weight, nor can it be empirically measured.

Fleury's book has received a number of 5-star rated reviews. Romauld Dzemo stated, "In this book, the author explores the concept of “seeing” properly in order to understand creation and makes apt references to other thinkers and theologians, featuring the ancients as well as modern thinkers — Leonard Euler, Robert Boyle, Thomas Young, Augustin-Jean Fresnel, Francois Arago, Michael Faraday, James Clerk Maxwell, and many others. 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution' is a book that gives a new meaning to light as a creative property of God. This essay is well-researched and presented with the clarity of one who knows what they are talking about. It’s as informative as it is inspiring.”

K. C. Finn said, "Fleury’s retelling of Chardin’s teachings is concise yet emotive, and it’s very clear that the author has a true passion for their subject. Having said that, nowhere in the book did I find a message too pushy or judgmental. 'Teilhard de Chardin: The Search For The Light In Evolution' is a well-balanced philosophical take, in which Fleury explains Chardin’s viewpoint whilst also adding examples of his own from modern scientific thinking to exemplify his ideas. If you’re looking for a thoughtful exploration of Purpose Driven Evolution, or indeed just a brand new way of thinking to stretch your brain muscles, you’ll get a lot out of 'Teilhard de Chardin'. Overall, a fascinating and well-compiled read.”

Jamie Michele stated, "Teilhard de Chardin' by Bernard J Fleury is an excellent resource for scholars, students, and scientists, as well as Christians who find themselves questioning either the aspects of scientific theory, the scripture of the Bible, or both. It's written concisely in an academic manner by Fleury, which is fitting given that he teaches as a college professor. In this book, Fleury digs even deeper, addressing the literary work and hypotheses of multiple intellectuals, both past and present, to present a compelling case."

Bernard was chosen as one of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ in the 2017 Book Awards. His honor came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. He was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Bernard Fleury is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at bernlida@comcast.net. ‘The Mind-Body-Spirit Connection in the Medicine of Light’ is available at online retail book outlets. More information is available at his website at http://www.intolifebylight.com.

It's Just A Test - Prayer Is The Answer: To Endure With Patience Is A Mark Of Faith Says Donna Louis, Award Winning Author Of 'Miracles Of Direction'

Louis' book, entitled ‘Miracles Of Direction’, is an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles.

To say we live in a fast-paced society would be an understatement. Modern life revolves around our desire to get what we want right away. This is true whether we are using the Internet, a phone or a microwave oven. This is especially pertinent in regards to overcoming problems or difficulties. We don't want to wait for the answer. We want it now. But that is not how reality works. Therefore, patience is more than a virtue - it is a mark of faith.

In a recent post on her site entitled "Endure With Patience", Donna Louis, award winning author of 'Miracles Of Direction' presented a number of quotes from famous people that deal specifically with patience. The piece includes quotes from notable names such as Muhammad Ali, St. Francis of Assisi, Mahatma Gandhi, Benjamin Franklin, Aristotle, Helen Keller, Julius Caesar and Leonardo da Vinci. She also included a number of Bible verses on endurance and patience.

"Think about how complex the human body and life on earth is," Louis stated. "We have cells, organs, organ systems, homeostasis mechanisms, a highly functional brain...all these things and more. They are so complex and so many building blocks are required for them to function, yet they do. Even GOD took six days to create the earth. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. - Genesis 1:31"

Donna Louis helps readers explore miracles both past and present. Her book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful example of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced four miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

Donna will be donating 100% of proceeds from sales of her books from Payhip to March For Our Lives until September 30, 2018. The book is available with discounted pricing at Payhip at http://www.payhip.com/themagic.

Louis has also announced the upcoming release of her latest Christian book, 'Book of Proverbs, Wisdom vs Wilderness'.

'Book of Proverbs – Wisdom vs. Wilderness' delves into the need for gaining greater wisdom. The primary purpose of the Book of Proverbs is to teach wisdom to everyone. The Book of Proverbs provides intellectual depth and insights and exceptional wisdom on how to live a fortunate and tranquil life by honoring and respecting God as omnipotent.

The newest book discusses all chapters in Proverbs 1-31 and brings insight, clarity, and basic meaning to several verses in each chapter to solidify why wisdom is essential and mandatory in life, so readers can live a blessed life versus living a life that is destitute, empty, and obsolete. It is scheduled for release in 2018.

Louis was chosen as a winner in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' awards contest. 'Miracles' has also received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Louis has been nominated for the Top Female Author Award in 2018. The worldwide contest presents nominees from countries all over the world including Australia, Barbados, Canada, Croatia, France, Mexico, Netherlands, the UK and the United States.

She is also now making her current book available to both hurricane relief organizations and Christian organizations to be used as a fundraising tool. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the e-book may be donated to those organizations that qualify. Churches and other charitable organizations are welcome to contact Donna using the information below to discuss the details of the program.

Donna Louis is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at louistolouis@aol.com. More information is available at her website. ‘Miracles Of Direction’ is available at online retail book outlets. More information is available at her website at http://www.miraclebook.net.

About Donna Louis:
Donna Louis is happily married to her husband of 30 years Patrick Louis and currently resides in Florida. She lives to accomplish the task that God created her for and on a daily basis to follow Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. The World Academy For The Future of Women Now Actively Recruiting Facilitators To Deliver Its Leadership Curriculum In Kathmandu And Dhaka

The World Academy For The Future Of Women is an advanced leadership program that prepares university women for campus, community, country, and global leadership.

Having successfully delivered an advanced leadership program to university women in rural China since 2009, the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) is currently recruiting additional men and women willing to go beyond their personal and geographic boundaries to deliver one of eight four-week modules in Bangladesh, China, or Nepal. A “Facilitator Introduction & Orientation” training session will be held July 13-15, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona.

“The Academy students are so motivated and engaged”, stated Danielle Hampson, WAFW Director of Media & Marketing, “that many of our volunteer facilitators, who love their interaction with Academy members, often ask to return and teach additional modules. When I ask them to summarize their overall experience as facilitators, the response I repeatedly get is that it is life changing, and that they go back home changed and looking at life differently”.

Founded by Jerrie Ueberle, the World Academy is committed to the advancement of women’s leadership worldwide and is focused on preparing women to discover their passion, purpose, and path to success. “Our facilitators are extraordinary men and women who see themselves as global citizens being a stand for the future of women worldwide”, said Ms. Ueberle, “they are volunteers who seize the opportunity to contribute through their engagement, and build relationships around issues of intimacy, action and intervention, and they strategize with Academy members on projects bigger than either had imagined or taken on. Our facilitators change women’s lives!”

More information and videos are available at https://wafw.org. Facilitator applications may be downloaded and submitted at https://wafw.org/facilitators/facilitator-training.

About WAFW:

The World Academy for the Future of Women is an initiative of Global Interactions, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Phoenix, Arizona. Body Shaming, Social Media, Bullying And The Drive To Be Best - CDC Survey On Teenagers Is Sobering Says Vertical Selfie Filmmaker Barbara Becker Holstein

Dr. Holstein, a psychologist/filmmaker and originator of a unique Selfie Film concept, writes award-winning books, plays and produces short films that offer solutions to problems that impact today's teens and tweens

The New York Times reported that the C.D.C. Survey of the lives of teenagers confirmed that 1 in 5 students reported being bullied at school. Many had feelings of sadness and hopelessness and 17% considered suicide. 14% had actually made a suicide plan. On the upside 'There's strong data to show that family support and attention by your parents to what you're doing can make a difference in an adolescent's life.' Positive Psychologist and award winning selfie filmmaker Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein urges parents and grandparents to focus on making that difference.

"What does this report say to me as a psychologist/filmmaker? I see my role as a facilitator, an educator and a dramatist. By creating Selfie films that focus on the real life problems of tweens and teens, communication and understandings can happen. Once stirred up by the drama and reality of these films discussion and solutions can take place.

"I believe I have created the first Vertical Selfie Dramas intended to educate, provide psychological insight and inspire solutions to situations that have become bleak for so many of our kids.

"I'm excited to see that Instagram is starting a new app: IGTV that allows up to hour long videos that are shot vertically, so they fill your whole phone screen.

"My films are filmed vertically by the young actresses themselves who do much of the filming on their smart phones. When my films go off into festivals I weave B role film in. But for vertical viewing, the Selfies can stand alone as drama. Right now I am beginning to post on IGTV 'The Truth, A Vertical Selfie Drama'. Over the next several weeks 20 scenes will be shown. In this film, staring Cassidy Terracciano, the girl falls in love, has all sorts of dilemmas leading up to a special secret way to figures out to hold on to the best of herself. Based on my book, 'The Truth, Diary of a Gutsy Tween', this drama vividly portrays the emotions, frustrations and capacities to adapt of a teen."

In addition to her vertical selfie films for IGTV, Dr. Holstein is currently developing "The Selfie Project" to help kids share their feelings and thoughts in a meaningful way via Selfies that can reach millions. "The Selfie Project" provides a way for young people to go public on a number of subjects. Bullying is real, school violence is real, drama because of social media is real for kids. 'The Selfie Project' is giving voice to those subjects. A pilot TV show is in the development phase. Teens will have a chance to discuss via their Selfies and in discussion with Dr. Holstein, various topics that affect their lives, including friend drama, fear of assault weapons, opioids, feelings of anxiety and depression, issues around teenage suicide and more. As of this moment, teens can share a link to their Selfies and Dr. Holstein will consider them for inclusion on her website, SelfieFilmmakers.com.

Holstein's short films have won numerous awards and accolades.
