The Importance Of Miracles Past And Present - Author Donna Louis Gives Readers The Most Important Gift Of All - Hope

Donna Louis provides an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. She attempts to expand and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles

As detailed on a number of news sites recently, including a piece on WGN-TV.com, a 70 year old woman in India gave birth to her first child. Daljinder Kaur gave birth last month after two years of treatment using donor eggs at a fertility clinic in the northern state of Haryana. Their son, born healthy and hearty and weighing 4.4lb, was named Arman.

"God heard our prayers. My life feels complete now,” she told Agence France-Presse. “I am looking after the baby all by myself. I feel so full of energy. My husband is also very caring and helps me as much as he can.”

Is this a modern day miracle? Many believe it is. It is a stunning example of hope and faith.

Miracles are important for one primary reason - they give us hope at a completely different level. While hope is important, miracles give us the proof that there is a real, verifiable reason to hope. Hope without a reason for hope is just empty. Hope combined with a verifiable reason for hope becomes faith. Without faith, a human life holds not much more value than an animal's life or the life of a tree. Miracles lead to hope, hope to faith and faith to belief in the sanctity and value of human life. They put our lives in perspective within the framework of the universe.

Donna Louis' new book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' explores biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth. She then references with miracles that take place on a daily basis in the modern world. She separates these miracles into four categories and presents insightful example of each type, taken directly from the Bible.

Louis knows her subject well, as she has personally experienced three miracles. As the result of those life-altering experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand upon and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

"I wrote this book so that people can know that GOD is still in the miracle working business now just like he was in the Old Testament," Louis stated. "Once we have no hope we might as well be dead! Hope allows us to dream about what could happen or what could be true. I see hope as H = Healthy O = Outlook P = Positive E = Energy. This is what we need to have on a daily basis. A healthy outlook with positive energy about our futures."

Donna Louis was chosen as a winner in the 2015 '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' awards contest. 'Miracles' has also received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

Donna Louis is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at donnalouisgodsmessenger@aol.com. 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Purpose' is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Xulon Press. Steven Snyder, Author Of Multi-Award Winning Military Book, 'Shot Down', Completes Europe Film Trip, Announces Upcoming Schedule Of June 2016 Events

Snyder's father was shot down over Europe during WWII. He evaded capture and was missing in action for seven months. 'Shot Down' is a dramatic retelling of the story surrounding that event

Steve Snyder, author of the multiple-award winning military book 'Shot Down, has announced his upcoming schedule of appearances and media coverage.

Military books, especially books about aviation, are very popular with American book buyers. While many of these military books are well researched, very few of them are written by people who can provide us with a view from inside the story, having been there as the story unfolded. Award winning author Steve Snyder has managed to give readers just that.

Steve Snyder’s father, Howard Snyder, was a B-17 pilot stationed in England during World War II.  On February 8, 1944, his plane, the B-17 Susan Ruth (named after Snyder's daughter), was shot down over the French/Belgium border after a mission to bomb Frankfurt, Germany. The book tells the true story of events leading up to and following that harrowing day. Of the ten man crew, some died, some ended up in prison camps, and some evaded capture. What makes this aviation book unique is the varied, detailed, and amazing story of what happened to each crew member, in particular Howard Snyder who evaded capture and was missing in action for seven months.

Readers are given the opportunity to read the letters and documents that were exchanged before and after the Susan Ruth was shot down. 'Shot Down' is filled with photos that enhance the presentation of these extraordinary WW II events that must never be forgotten.

Snyder completed his recent European tour to film locations in Belgium where the events in the book took place and to interview local people about these events. He traveled to Munich, Germany to film an interview with Hans Berger, the German Luftwaffe pilot who shot down his father's bomber, the B-17 Susan Ruth. Michael Palmer of RacefanTV accompanied him as Director of Photography. The film is currently in production.

'Shot Down' has received numerous high profile awards:

Anger And Bigotry Toward Muslims Is Damaging To America’s Position In The World Says Author Frances Fuller, In Response To Washington Post Article

Fuller spent many years in the Middle East. She puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen. Her award-winning memoir, 'In Borrowed Houses', gives readers a penetrating glimpse of the Middle East from the inside

A recent op-ed piece in the Washington Post by David Patreous put forth the idea that discrimination against Muslims plays directly into the hands of terrorists. Frances Fuller, author of 'In Borrowed Houses' has an unusual background that allows for unique insights into the mindset of the Middle East and America's position on the world stage. She spent thirty years in the Middle East, twenty four of those years as a Christian publisher in Lebanon. Fuller agrees with Patreous. She recently posted an article that sheds light on this highly contested approach.

"I am grateful to David Petreous for saying what I have been thinking," Fuller stated. "Expressions of anger and bigotry toward Muslims is damaging to America’s position in the world.

In the op-ed in the Washington Post on May 13, Petreous said:

'The terrorists’ explicit hope has been to try to provoke a clash of civilizations — telling Muslims that the United States is at war with them and their religion. When Western politicians propose blanket discrimination against Islam, they bolster the terrorists’ propaganda.'

He warns us, 'As policy, these concepts are totally counterproductive. Rather than making our country safer, they will compound the already grave terrorist danger to our citizens. As ideas, they are toxic and, indeed, non-biodegradable — a kind of poison that, once released into our body politic, is not easily expunged.'

While Petreous is thinking of politicians, I would like to wave this caution flag at all of us.  We need to be accountable for our attitudes and judgments.  Fear is contagious and anger is destructive. Before we spread them, we need to verify that they are not based on falsehood. The first victim of a careless opinion is our own country, its values and ideals, its very success as a pluralist democracy.

A politician need only speak once, and we help to spread that comment to the ends of the world, which has big ears and knows that somehow its fate is hinged to what Americans think.

ISIS hears and uses our words against us, turning them into a recruiting tool. (“See, we told you they hate us.”) In cities under attack by ISIS, vulnerable Muslim families hear and wonder what they have done. Fleeing refugees hear and despair. Even American citizens who are Muslims may feel like outcasts. And, as Petreous points out, all of us become less safe."

Frances Fuller puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen. Her award-winning memoir, 'In Borrowed Houses', gives readers a penetrating glimpse of the Middle East from the inside.

Told in short episodes, Fuller’s book reveals the alienation, confusion and courage of civilians in the Lebanese civil war, introducing to the reader a variety of real people with whom the author interacts: editors, salesmen, neighbors, refugees, soldiers, missionaries, lawyers, shepherds, artists, students. With these people she works, studies, plays games, prays, laughs and cries, all to the accompaniment of gunfire. Together these small stories tell what war is like for civilians caught on a battlefield, and they create the impression of the Lebanese as a fun-loving, witty, patient and resilient people. Fuller's stories compose not a political history, but a historical document of a time and a place.

Critics have praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “ . . a well written book full of compassion . . . a captivating story . . . ”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching . . .”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “ . . . western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. The full text of her latest article is available at her website. Fuller's book is available at Amazon and other book retailers. A free ebook sample from 'In Borrowed Houses' is available at http://www.payhip.com/francesfuller. Frances Fuller also blogs on other issues relating to the Middle East on her website at http://www.inborrowedhouseslebanon.com.

About Frances Fuller:

Frances Fuller spent thirty years in the violent Middle East and for twenty-four of those years was the director of a Christian publishing program with offices in Lebanon. While leading the development of spiritual books in the Arabic language, she survived long years of civil war and invasions.

How To Be Effective In End Of Life Planning - Cynthia Martindale, Author Of 'Graceful Last Chapters', Offers Advice, Resources And End Of Life Planning Tools

Martindale is the author of the ultimate guide to caregiving. She helps caregivers chart a clear path through caregiving challenges, options, and eventual heartbreak

Nobody likes to face their own mortality. Though attorneys, insurance companies, financial professionals and a host of other sage experts encourage us in every way imaginable to get things in order now, we still procrastinate. We must face it, as the sad fact is that nobody gets out alive. Though we will be gone and won't have to deal with the results of our procrastination, it is our families that will ultimately pay the price for our resistance to end of life planning.

Cynthia Martindale, author of 'Graceful Last Chapters' has written the ultimate guide to caregiving and senior issues. She is an expert in regards to end of life planning. She offers the following advice, tips and resources for those who are ready to begin the planning process.

"Whether you’re contemplating end-of-life planning tools for yourself, a friend, or a family member, know that you’re not alone: no one joyously jumps out of bed in the morning because today’s the day you’ll write your Last Will and Testament, or Powers of Attorney, or Living Will," Martindale stated. "We’re all procrastinators, perhaps especially when the task involves end-of-life decision-making. We don’t want to think about dying, let alone map the details in writing. If we could just re-frame our thoughts and turn the “dying” problem into part of “living” life, right up to the final breath, maybe procrastination would be replaced by desire for power and control. Until we can all manage that as individuals, however, the National Healthcare Decisions Day 2016 theme says it best: 'It Always Seems Too Early, Until It’s Too Late'. Readers can see National Healthcare Decisions Day for more information."

"It’s the desire we all have for power and control over our life’s evolution that may drive us to act.  Didn’t we work long and hard to build a financial nest egg?  Didn’t it take a lifetime to design our space in life and furnish it with meaningful treasures and memories?  Don’t you want to know the tangible evidence of your life’s work will go to individuals who will cherish it?  It’s totally within your power to control the disbursement of your estate through your Will by gifts and bequests to anyone you want.  Consider the opposite effect for negative motivation:  if you pass away without a Will, state and federal law control your estate: one half can typically go to the state, and the other half can go per stirpes (by the blood) to your relatives . . . including all the ones you don’t like very much. For helpful information, see American Bar Association/Public Resources, AARP, Willing, GYST (Get Your Sh*t Together on What Matters Most) and Everplans: Online End of Life Resources."

"Your Last Will and Testament has no effect until you’ve passed away, so it’s arguably even more important to address three other documents that function to help during your lifetime:   Living Will, Healthcare Power of Attorney, and Financial Power of Attorney.  In tandem, a Living Will and Healthcare Power of Attorney (also known as Healthcare Surrogate or Healthcare Proxy) are often called Advance Directives, which serve to record your medical preferences. The Living Will directs decision-making regarding life-sustaining treatment (what you do and do not want to receive) in a terminal situation, either illness or injury, when you can no longer express your own wishes. The Healthcare Power of Attorney names the person to whom you have given substituted medical decision-making authority -- the capacity to act on your behalf, as you would for yourself if you could -- to see your wishes are executed accordingly if the time arrives and it’s necessary. Great resources include: National Institute on Aging, U.S. National Library of Medicine/MedlinePlus, Aging With Dignity/Five Wishes, Eldercare Matters Alliance and Caring.com."

"Beyond medical concerns, you’ll also need to appoint a Power of Attorney for Finance to assist with money matters, someone you implicitly trust to act as your 'agent' with the authority to make financial decisions as the situation requires. Limits on their power as your agent are controlled entirely by you.  You can change your Powers of Attorney, Will, and Living Will whenever you want, but do it by the rules of proper execution so it’s a legal document and not a rough draft. For more information, see also Nolo.com, CaringInfo and the National Caregivers Library."

Cynthia spent much of her career as a sales and marketing director for senior living communities. She is a seasoned veteran of all things senior-related. In 'Graceful Last Chapters', she shares her twenty years of experience with senior care in a voice filled with compassion, understanding, and an insider's point of view. As the primary caregiver for her parents in their declining years, as a sales and marketing director for senior living communities, and as a lawyer, Ms. Martindale brings readers a valuable resource about caring for aging loved ones. The book is filled with support and guidance for caregivers, clearly defined options for care, and the ways and means for readers to craft their own successful journey through caregiving challenges and heartbreak. Ms. Martindale offers readers fundamental knowledge, hope, a sense of identity and, ultimately, a path toward peace of mind.

Martindale combines her education, business expertise, and personal experiences to bring readers a valuable resource about caring for aging loved ones. The book's twenty-seven chapters are grouped into seven sections: (One) Considering Long-Term Care Options; (Two) Caregiving Challenges; (Three) Creating a Plan; (Four) Aging in Place With Additional Care; (Five) Senior Living Communities; (Six) Touring Senior Communities; and (Seven) After the Bloom Fades. The chapters build gradually to mimic the progression of the journey caregivers take with their senior loved one, whether that individual is their mother, father, aunt, uncle, sibling, spouse, friend, or neighbor.

'Graceful Last Chapters' has achieved a perfect 5 star rating on Amazon. One reviewer stated, "It is rare to encounter such an obviously experienced counselor in the field of Senior Care as Cynthia who demonstrates on every page of this impressive and ultimately authoritarian guide such tenderness, calm and candor." Another said, "This book captures not only the practical information on choices for seniors but it deals with the tougher emotional side of caring for loved ones as they age."

Immigration, Ronald Reagan, The Cold War And Freedom - 'Quest For Freedom' By David Michael Palladino Gives Us A New Perspective On Immigration

David Michael Palladino writes inspirational fiction for young readers. His works teach important ideals and values. He utilizes engaging works of fiction to accomplish that goal

Ronald Reagan was a shining example of American leadership, not only in the eyes of David Michael Palladino, but also to many immigrants who hoped to reach the shores of America to find freedom from oppression. He has been quoted as saying "a nation without borders is not really a nation." On the other hand some have credited Reagan with the concept that America might serve as a beacon for legal immigrants who could add to America's prosperity. Perhaps Reagan's concept of America seems a bit innocent today, when huge numbers of illegal immigrants threaten American workers and, in this age of covert terrorism, perhaps the very lives of American citizens.

Reagan was also instrumental in bringing down the Iron Curtain. The escape from Soviet Communism and the quest for freedom is the theme of 'Quest For Freedom'. Set in the Cold War era, the book is the engaging story of Adriana Corderu and her quest to obtain freedom by escaping the Iron Curtain.

Palladino writes inspirational fiction for young people. He teaches, through his works of fiction, important ideals and values. As a former U.S. Army Ranger, former High School Phys-Ed & Health Teacher and Coach, and founder of “Palladino Martial Arts”, he understands the significance of instilling these all-important ideals and values in young people. The book will appeal to parents, grandparents and educators.

Politics aside, a vast number of Americans believe that America has lost its way. The success of Donald Trump, whose political rallying call is "Make America Great Again", plays directly into this theme. It strikes a chord with a huge number of American citizens who are old enough to remember what America used to be. Palladino deftly paints a picture of America as she really was. He shows us clearly why American freedom and American values held such appeal for many oppressed people in other parts of the world.

During the first Cold War the world revolved around the conflict between the theologies of communism and democracy. The two main protagonists in this conflict were the United States in the West and the Soviet Union in the East. As Eastern Bloc leaders began to tighten restrictions in the lives of their people, commensurate with their increase in power, there began to emerge, in the East, a group of young people, hard and idealistic, adventurous and courageous. These would become the heroes of the movement of their time. These were the brave young souls who, with inspiration from President Reagan, began to break down the Iron Curtain.

'Quest for Freedom' has received rave reviews. One reviewer stated, "More native born Americans need to know this story and more importantly appreciate our country as she did." Another said, "The readers become engrossed immediately in Palladino's dynamic effervescent style."

David Palladino is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at inspirationalbookauthor@yahoo.com. 'Adriana Corderu, Quest for Freedom' is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Rosedog Books. More information, including samples of the book, is available at Palladino’s website at http://www.inspirationalbookauthor.com.

Forgiveness For Others Brings Freedom To Self - Kristi Burchfiel, Author Of 'Piecing Together Forgiveness’, Believes Forgiveness Is A Key Step Towards Healing

Kristi Burchfiel is a Christian devotional author and speaker who believes in ‘living in the world while living out the word’

A recent article posted on the NewsOK website, entitled "Forgiveness isn't for the offender', made a very strong point in regards to forgiveness that many sincere Christians may miss. While we might believe forgiveness is for the offender, it is not. It is for the victim. Forgiveness, seen from the proper perspective, frees us from pain and allows us to see others through God's eyes. It allows us to drop the burden of judgment. Kristi Burchfiel, author of 'Piecing Together Forgiveness: A Study Of Philemon', believes forgiveness is one building block that helps form the basis of a direct relationship with God.

“At its very core, forgiveness is about relationships,” Burchfiel explains. “Forgiveness was created by God because when we sinned, we damaged our relationship with God. He created forgiveness as the means through which our relationship with Him can be restored. Forgiveness starts with our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, then moves through to impact every other relationship in our life. Only by addressing our core relationship problem with God will we be able to take that next step toward healing and forgive others.”

In 'Piecing Together Forgiveness: A Study Of Philemon', readers will learn not only the principles of forgiveness, but also how they can be applied to impact one's life and relationships. Readers will find answers and see how to piece together a beautiful picture of Godly forgiveness.

Kristi writes applicable Bible Studies. Her other works include ‘Without Regrets: A Study Of Ecclesiastes,’ ‘The Decay Within: A Study of Amos,’ and an ebook series entitled ‘The Daily Devotional Series’, which includes eleven devotionals covering multiple books in the Bible including Genesis, John, Psalm and the New Testament. Several years ago, God led Kristi Burchfiel through some difficult times in her personal life. Only by studying and applying the truths found in the Bible did she find the answers she needed to get her life back on track.  She now works daily to continue putting those truths into practice.  She is passionate about studying the Bible and invites others to share in the peace of God through the truths found in God’s word. As a Christian devotional author, she believes in living in the world while living out the Word.

"Just knowing the word of God is not enough," Burchfiel said, "we must live it out.”

In addition to writing Christian devotionals, Kristi speaks on a variety of different topics including sections from her Bible study books, devotionals, life lessons, personal testimony and the book publishing process. She has been the keynote speaker for women's conferences, led workshops during all day events, and delivered the message in worship services and Sunday School classes. She has also spoken with literacy groups and has appeared numerous times in interviews for websites, radio, and television. She also provides an online devotional for the day and other Bible tools.

Kristi Burchfiel is available for media interviews and speaking engagements. She can be reached using the information below, or by email at k_burchfiel@yahoo.com. More information is available at her website. What The Afterlife Is Like - Deceased Father Gave Answers To Brian McLaughlin, Author Of 'A Flight Without Wings - My Experience With Heaven'

McLaughlin's book about his NDE details his totally unique near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no preaching and no hidden agenda. McLaughlin will make several appearances in the Long Island, NY area in the coming months

What is the afterlife like? Author Brian McLaughlin is one of the people on Earth who can answer that question. His experience in the afterlife is the subject of his book about his near death experience, 'A Flight Without Wings, My Experience With Heaven'. In his book he details a meeting with his deceased father, who sent him back.

My experience with Death didn’t start with my father," McLaughlin stated."It started from the time I was observing the doctors and nurses, busy trying to revive me and assess my injuries.  I understand that this is common in these types of events.

Unable to directly communicate, I was just able to hear some very interesting conversation.  At some point that I am unable to fit into a timeline, my attention was drawn away to a peaceful direction. The sounds of the clinicians talking as though I wasn’t there, faded, and I was more interested in this peaceful path before me.  I knew I was alone, yet that didn’t seem to bother me or frighten me. It was a bright direction which I also hear is common.

Nothing around me - and no clear knowledge of where to go…  Then, like a small speck on your computer screen that you might try to wipe off, this speck in my visual field became increasingly larger, and I could no longer ignore it. It became my center of focus. When I had gotten close enough, it appeared to be the shape of a person although still in silhouette, because of the brightness behind it. Closer still, I eventually recognized this person as my  deceased father. Unlike I remembered him when he passed, I knew him right away, and he knew me. Neither one of us commented on how the other looked nor did I ask how he knew to be there at that exact moment."

Brian McLaughlin's book about his near death experience stands apart from the rest. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment and no hidden agenda. While his book has a spiritual flavor certain, there is no preaching and no religious messages. It is his NDE, just as it happened. There is an important message. That message is peace.

McLaughlin's experience changed the course of his life forever.  It instilled in him what we all seek - certainty about life after death. And with that a peace of  mind that can never be shaken, nor can it be doubted. His near death experience brought a sense of clarity. It brought a sense of real, lasting peace. He now knows with certainty that we exist forever. It is that simple message he brings to his audience, both through his book and at his speaking engagements.

Brian McLaughlin will be making several live appearances in the Long Island, NY area during June, July and August, 2016:

Sat. June 11 - Turn of the Cork Screw - Rockville Center, NY - Radio Interview, Book Signing
Sat. July 9 - Turn of the Cork Screw - Rockville Center, NY - Radio Interview, Book Signing
Sat. August 27 - Rockville Center, NY - Street Fair

Brian McLaughlin was chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' in 2015. Reviews of 'A Flight Without Wings' have been overwhelmingly positive. Jack Magnus, a reviewer with Readers Favorite, called the book a "well written and moving memoir that neither delves into the fanciful or dogmatic,...”  "…Well worth reading, and is highly recommended." Another stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these, but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."

Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal . . . such profound perspective.”

Mediumship As A Doorway To Christ: Pat Chalfant's Newest Video Demonstrates That NDE's Can Open The Door To The Experience Of Christ

Oregon Spiritualist Medium Pat Chalfant's amazing psychic gifts have helped hundreds of individuals worldwide. She is the author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship'

Pat Chalfant, a CARE-certified medium, knows that mediumship is one doorway to Christ. It is not the only one, however. The near death experience, a relatively recent phenomenon, serves as another. She recently developed a new video, now available to the public, that helps people who wish to "roll away the stone". In her words:

When Dr. George Ritchie, M.D., was a 20-year-old college student hospitalized with pneumonia, he was dead for nine minutes.  But, before he knew he was dead, he left his bed to find someone to talk to.  Everyone he met in the hospital halls seemed too preoccupied to notice him.  He went back to his bedroom, but found in his bed a body covered head to toe with a sheet.  Only one hand was uncovered, and, on it he recognized his own fraternity ring!  He immediately plummeted into a profound depression.  As a blindingly bright white light appeared at the head of his bed, something deep inside his spiritual self spoke in a voice more commanding than any he had ever heard: “STAND UP, YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE SON OF GOD.”  Then out of the brilliant light a spirit person emerged whom he immediately recognized as Jesus Christ.  Dr. Ritchie was experiencing the beginning of the tour of the Other Side of Life that Near Death Experiencers (NDE’s) are given by spirit guides.

Dr. Ritchie watched a panoramic review of all 20 years of his life while Christ looked on with him and both rejoiced as it became clear that Dr. Ritchie’s 20-year-old intentions were on the whole quite positive, that he had been learning to love, which is what we all are primarily here on earth to do. Christ took him then to places of learning such as one where people were taught all the many religions of the world from time immemorial and another place where inventions/discoveries that eventually find their way to earth are first conceived.  When Christ directed him to return to earth from this productive, wonderful, loving place, the 20-year-old Ritchie fought to remain.  He tried to leap back into Christ’s presence when he felt himself being pulled back to earth.  His leap was unsuccessful and he was back in his hospital room once more.

Dr. Ritchie has told his NDE story throughout all the years whenever and wherever he has spoken to people.  A student of his, Raymond Moody (a non-believer concerning life after death), who heard him tell it in class thought it was intriguing but only really got seriously interested in the occurrence years later when Moody heard the same story from one of his own students.  By then, he had become Dr. Raymond Moody, an associate professor of philosophy at West Georgia State College.  This time he decided to try to collect more of these Near Death Experiences.  He published a book about his early research, “Life After Life,” after interviewing many people who had died and been subsequently resuscitated.  Since then, he has collected 30,000 letters from NDE experiencers all over the world.  Not surprisingly he now has a very different belief about life after death than he did when as an undergrad he heard his first account about an NDE from Dr. George Ritchie, M.D., professor of psychiatry at the University of Virginia.

Pat's inspirational book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how Pat, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

In addition to offering one-on-one client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book' and three of those songs are in the National Spiritualist Association of Churches hymn book. There are samples of the words and music on her web site, http://www.patchalfant.com, and ‘Spirit Lights’ song books for sale there, too. She does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Development DVD'.

Pat Chalfant's Youtube channel is now available at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9qOQWIWR-DUL8hBDqE5TnQ.

Pat Chalfant is currently appearing on The Authors Show. Her interview is available now at The Authors Show site. 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship' is available at her website and at Amazon. Pat is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at pat.chalfant@patchalfant.com. She is also available for inspirational lectures. More information can be found at her website at http://www.patchalfant.com.

About Pat Chalfant:

Steven Snyder, Author Of Multi-Award Winning Military Book, 'Shot Down', Announces Europe Film Trip, Dispatch Magazine Piece, Schedule Of Events

Snyder's father was shot down over Europe during WWII. He evaded capture and was missing in action for seven months. 'Shot Down' is a dramatic retelling of the story surrounding that event

Steve Snyder, author of the multiple-award winning military book 'Shot Down, has announced his upcoming schedule of appearances, media coverage and future events.

Snyder will be traveling in Europe in May to film locations in Belgium where the events in the book took place and to interview local people about these events. He will then go to Munich, Germany to film an interview with Hans Berger, the German Luftwaffe pilot who shot down his father's bomber, the B-17 Susan Ruth. Michael Palmer of RacefanTV will accompany him as Director of Photography.

Snyder has also announced a recent feature for the work in the March 2016 issue of Dispatch Magazine, the Commemorative Air Force magazine. Mr. Snyder will make a personal appearance at the Memorial Day Flower Drop & Air Fair at the Palm Springs Air Museum,  745 North Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs CA, on May 30th at 10am.

A documentary about the book is currently in the works.

Reviewers have praised 'Shot Down'. Publishers Weekly stated, "This is a great introduction to the history of the U.S. air war in Europe, humanized by the experience of a single bomber crew." The European Center of Military History said, "Steve Snyder has reached a level of scholarship few amateur historians achieve." Foreword Reviews called it a "masterful book." Midwest Book Review called it "An inherently fascinating and deftly written account."

Steve Snyder is available for media interviews and speaking engagements and can be reached using the information below or by email at steve@stevesnyderauthor.com. A Murder Mystery Novelist Like No Other - Author Patrick Brigham Transforms Real World Experiences Into Fictional Works

Brigham is the author of a number of mystery books and crime thrillers that address political and Cold War issues. He brings terrorism, illegal immigration and murder together in gripping tales, built upon real world events

Often, when we listen in on discussions about great works of fiction, we hear phrases such as 'It seemed so real' or 'It was like being there'. For murder mystery novelist Patrick Brigham, it IS real, as he has lived, and continues to live, right in the middle of the many of the storylines and situations he writes about, in The Balkans.

As the editor in chief of the Sofia Western News, the first English news magazine in Bulgaria and as a journalist, he witnessed the political changes in this once hard-core communist country. There, he personally knew most of the political players, including the old Communist Dictator, Todor Zhivkov, and his successors, Presidents Jhelev and Stoyanov.

The natural home of political intrigue, and the remnants of Bolshevism, Bulgaria proved to be quite a challenge, and for many of its citizens the transition was also very painful. Despite this, Patrick managed to survive these political changes, and now lives in Northern European Greece, writing mystery novels and crime thrillers.

Many of his short stories lampoon the politicians and diplomats, he met during his time in Eastern Europe and proffer a humorous account of their often absurd antics. His more serious archived material, not only address’s issues concerning Cuba, India, Israel, Palestine and Afghanistan, but people as varied as ex - US President Bill Clinton and ex - President Todor Zhivkov the last of the Communist dictators.

Brigham's body of work includes:

‘The Dance of Dimitrios’ is a mystery novel that mixes some of the horrors of illegal immigration with everyday events. Detective  Chief Inspector  Lambert works for Europol - the European equivalent of the FBI – and is sent to Greece in order to solve a cold case. DCI Lambert has experience of people trafficking, the problems caused for governments throughout the world, Greece being the gateway into Europe, for countless Middle-Eastern migrants, political refugees and terrorists. The story involves the discovery of a woman's body found floating in the River Ardas, in Northern Greece. Believed to be of Middle-Eastern origin, she is buried in a communal grave along with other Islamic victims of drowning and promptly forgotten. When it is later revealed that she is actually an Englishwoman called Marjory Braithwaite - who has been living for some years in Greece - the British government turns to Europol for help. Realising that this probably means murder, DCI Lambert is dispatched to Greece.

In ‘Judas Goat: The Kennet Narrow Boat Mystery,’ Detective Chief Inspector Michael Lambert - working at the time for the Thames Valley Police Authority - unravels a murder case which stretches from England to Bulgaria, South Africa to Belorussia, and finally Taiwan to Peru. What at first appears to be a straightforward murder, is revealed to be part of an international manhunt, the result of a major arms deal which has gone horribly wrong. Patrick Brigham begins his story with the discovery of a small mobile phone on the narrow boat which ends with the murder of a Chinese shipping magnate in broad daylight, in the streets of London.

‘Herodotus: The Gnome of Sofia,’ embraces disgruntled communists, cold war warriors, intrigue, deception and finally murder.  Brigham introduces us to Sir Arthur Cumberpot, a man with an unspectacular diplomatic career, which is swiftly drawn to a close when he is appointed, by the FCO, as British Ambassador to Bulgaria. Due to some unforeseen mishaps his wife Annabel, is accused of being a spy and sent home to their house in Oxfordshire, while her background is checked by MI5. Lady Annabel Cumberpot is guilty of nothing, other than being the biological daughter of Jim Kilbey, Britain’s most notorious spy. It seems that a jealous god has sought to visit the sins of the father upon her, but then so has everyone else. She is the victim of serendipity, but also of cover ups, duplication of thin evidence and exaggeration. But she is also heartless, treacherous, self indulgent and without shame. In his book, Brigham lampoons the British Diplomats of the day, and introduces you to the humorous side of diplomacy.

‘Abduction: An Angel Over Rimini, set in 2002, and little Penelope Scratchford has been abducted in Italy. The Italian State Police, having given up its investigation, believes her parents to be responsible for her disappearance and her probable murder, but cannot prove it. The British authorities believe she is still alive, as does the UK media. In order to reopen this cold case, Europol offers its assistance, and Detective Chief Inspector Michael Lambert – now retired from Thames Valley Police – is sent to Rimini as a Europol Liaison Officer, in order to assist the Italian police in re-opening their investigation. His quest takes him from Rimini to Greece and the River Evros, where illegal migrants frequently cross over from Turkey on their way into Central Europe. Following this recognised people smuggling route, his investigations also take him to Bulgaria, where he discovers a crooked adoption racket. Finding some promising leads to the whereabouts of the little English girl, he is finally able to establish if she is alive or dead.

"I live in the Evros Region in Northern Greece," Brigham stated, "and I have personally observed the forlorn illegal immigrants who then daily crossed the River Evros into Greece, from Turkey. Since many were English speaking – from Afganistan, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent – it was easy to converse with them, and of course the Greek police authorities themselves; who were well educated, and spoke perfect English. Knowing what was going on around me, was not the problem, but being able to tell the story – to a largely indifferent western public -  was another matter. Ten years on and dominating the headlines, it is clearly different, but in the early 2000s, few in Europe could care less about these displaced refugees, until it began to affect their pocket.”

“During Communism, and as one of the first English  journalists to be based in Bulgaria, I interacted with most of the politicians and diplomats of the day, in my capacity as chief editor of The Sofia Western News, a monthly glossy magazine.  This included Todor Zhivkov, the then deposed long term Communist ex President of Bulgaria – who I interviewed on a number of occasions –his first elected democratic successor Zhelyu Zhelev, followed by President Peter Stoyanov. Although many changes have occurred since, I must also mention King Simion II, who for three years and eighteen days, served as the Bulgarian Prime Minister. In the hope that he could salvage years of Communist waste, tyranny and turmoil - since he was deposed as Bulgarian boy king, in 1946 - and by putting his reputation on the line - amongst the torment and brazen political arrogance of the time - he was one of my greatest hero’s.”

Readers have praised his novels. One stated, "I am an ex cop - he must have done a lot of research to get so many things right. I felt when reading 'Abduction' that Patrick was relating an investigation, he actually carried out." Another said, "'Abduction - An Angel Over Rimini' is entertaining, gripping, and also an astonishing Europol procedural read, making you want to read more. I was drawn into the story right away. I felt close to Michael Lambert and his way of analysing and detecting. All relevant characters became pretty real. 'Abduction - An Angel Over Rimini' is a good read for mystery fans, readers who like surprises, and occasional coincidences."

Patrick Brigham is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at patrick.brigham@gmail.com. Books are available at Amazon, Amazon.UK, Smashwords and from his website. More information is available at Patrick Brigham's website at http://authorpatrickbrigham.com/

About Patrick Brigham:

Patrick has been a writer and journalist for many years. He has published many short stories, newspaper and magazine articles. Born in the English Home Counties, he attended Public School and College before moving to London and embarking on his career. He has spent the last twenty five years in South Eastern Europe, where many of his stories are set, as well as in Oxford, Hampshire and Berkshire. As the Editor in Chief of the first English Language news magazine in Sofia, Bulgaria - between 1995 and 2000 - and as a journalist, he witnessed the changes in this once hard core Communist Country and personally knew most of the political players, including the old Dictator Todor Zhivkov and his successors Zhelev and Stoyanov.

I am proud to announce that my French popular series of 8 picture books called Félix and Boubou give live to a magical doctor suitcase and nine instruments. I am happy to announce that the first picture book of Jason and Lubdub series Lice Hunting will be soon available in English. Dr. Nicole has sold over 150,000 books in her career. She is highly regarded for her work with children’s books and a health guide for families. Her goals are to create in children a love for reading and to create interaction and engagement.

Dr. Nicole’s books have received high praise from reviewers. In regards to 'Are You Eating My Lunch?/Manges-tu mon lunch?', Grady Harp stated, "This is another little winner from Dr. Nicole - combining learning with entertainment. Such a fine style of writing she has established – making the reader want more. Highly recommended." In a review for 'Strike At Charles' Farm/Grève à la ferme de Charles’', Harp said, "Not only does Nicole write a fine story with an excellent moral, but she also adds questions about farm animals at the end for children ( and adults ) to learn whether they remember the facts of the story. Highly recommended book – whether you wish to read it in English or French."

Author Chloe Hammond Announces New Fantasy Fiction Novel Release, 'Darkly Dreaming'

Reminiscent of 'Interview with a Vampire', 'Being Human', and 'Byzantium', 'Darkly Dreaming' sets a new standard for fantasy fiction novels in the vampire genre

Author Chloe Hammond has announced the release of her latest fantasy fiction novel, 'Darkly Dreaming'. Reminiscent of 'Interview with a Vampire', 'Being Human', and 'Byzantium', 'Darkly Dreaming' is dark fantasy literature. Quirky, witty and vicious, it seems like any other self-discovery novel until the heroines, Rae and Layla, meet a darker future when they are infected with the vampire virus.

These vampires are not the undead, instead an ancient virus has caused a complete metamorphosis so they have evolved into more physically sophisticated beings, each with their own special gift. They can only feed on blood, and animal blood, while tasting vile, suffices. However vampires don’t dream, and human blood not only tastes sublime, it offers a narcotic escape into their victim’s memories. Who could resist?

Written in 'Honolulu Heights', the 'Being Human' house, 'Darkly Dreaming' explores the themes of friendship, self, and being true to who you really are, no matter what the temptations. A tale of heartbreak, battles to defend the weak, and the sort of daft mistakes only Rae could make.

‘’Conceived in nightmares, and wrought from despair.’ I describe Darkly Dreaming like this because anxiety and depression had caused vicious nightmares and insomnia and I could have crumbled, letting them take over my life, Hammond stated. "Instead I used the nightmare scenes and the extra time insomnia granted, and wrote the book I’d wanted to write since I was seven."

Reviewers have praised 'Darkly Dreaming'. One stated, "Darkly Dreaming has reignited my passion for this genre. A clever and original plot carries the story with lots of romantic tension and heat to keep the pages turning.  For anyone looking for something refreshingly original and this genre I would certainly recommend."  Another stated, "I found it utterly captivating." Another said, "I couldn't put the book down."

Chloe Hammond is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by e-mail at books2@chloehammondauthor.com . 'Darkly Dreaming' is available at Amazon and other online book retailers.  More information, including a free download of a sample from the book, is available at Hammond's web site at http://www.ChloeHammondAuthor.com.

American Voters Should Cast A Vote That Gives The World Hope - Author Frances Fuller Reminds American Voters Of Their Global Responsibilities

Fuller spent many years in the Middle East. She puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen. Her award-winning memoir, 'In Borrowed Houses', gives readers a penetrating glimpse of the Middle East from the inside

Frances Fuller, author of 'In Borrowed Houses' has a unique background that allows for insight into the mindset of the Middle East. She is uniquely qualified, in that she spent thirty years in the Middle East, twenty four of those years as a Christian publisher in Lebanon. Fuller recently posted an article that brings to light a number of issues that American may not have considered, but certainly should.

In a blog called “What the Lebanese Can Teach Us About Voting for a President,” Fuller responds to a piece that appeared in the Beirut Daily Star, written by David Ignatius of The Washington Post. Ignasius’ article concerns the proposal of John Sarbanes, a Maryland Democrat ,(published in the Harvard Journal on Legislation) to fix the dysfunctional American political system. Why, Fuller asks, would comments by an editor and columnist of the Washington Post on a solution to an American problem, be found in the Beirut Daily Star?

"A proposal to mend America’s broken political system will be read with great interest in Lebanon," Fuller stated. "The Lebanese know, better than we know, that if our democracy doesn’t work, no one’s democracy is likely to work. If we love money more than we love the ideals on which our country was established, then money, not people, will rule the world. (They have already believed this about money for quite a long time.) They see the international repercussions of everything America does, while we are thinking of nothing but social issues and the tax rate and the personalities of candidates. Surrounded by enemies and inundated by refugees, one per two citizens, they are wondering where they will get the money to incorporate 450,000 alien children into a public school system of half that many, while leadership of the richest, most powerful country in the world, built by refugees, is in danger of being bought by a billionaire preaching fear of refugees. Feeling powerless, the Lebanese know, better than they know anything else, that whatever we Americans do is going to change their world for better or worse.  You can bet they are listening with bated breath to news about the American election. This is the burden we voting Americans lift every time we mark a ballot. We can cast a vote that gives the world hope. Or not."

Frances puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen.
