Consuls: The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges To Globalism Is The Ultimate Guidebook For Honorary Consuls, Career Consuls, And International Business Leaders

Cami Ann Green is an award-winning author of human interest stories. Green has authored observations of life in America for several Scandinavian publications, both in Finland and the US, including face-to-face interviews with legendary novelist James Michener, and iconic feminist Betty Friedan.

Did you know there are consuls from all around the world representing their countries in all 50 US states? It's true. However, not many people know about the incredibly important functions they perform. Regarding both career consuls and honorary consuls, it can be confusing for business, civic, and educational leaders to understand what they do, especially when most of us have never learned about consuls before. The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges to Globalism, by bestselling author Cami Green Hofstadter, is an easy-to-read reference book that will make everything crystal clear. Now in expanded digital form, this book is easily searchable and belongs in the hands of every internationalist and business, civic or educational leader looking to partner with local consuls. Readers will be able to unlock a whole new world of possibilities with this essential guide.

Businesses who hope to expand globally will especially benefit from learning how to work with foreign consuls. Learning how to do business internationally and understanding international business etiquette is essential for any business looking to succeed in the global marketplace. With the help of consuls and other resources, businesses can learn to navigate the complex cultural differences that exist in the global marketplace and avoid costly mistakes that can damage relationships and reputations. In many cultures, business is conducted on the basis of personal relationships and trust. Understanding the customs and traditions of foreign countries can help businesses show respect for local customs and build trust with local partners. This can lead to stronger relationships, better communication, and ultimately, better results.

The ebook version of The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges to Globalism will be available at no charge at Amazon April 4 through April 6, 2023.

Bestselling author Cami Green Hofstadter, a Swedish-speaking native of Finland, received her first law degree at the University of Helsinki followed by a Master’s degree at the University of Miami School of Law, and a PhD in Ed Leadership. She also has certificates in Diplomatic Law from the Hague Academy of International Law, the Netherlands, and in International Organizations from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

Retired from an academic career at two universities and having served as a long-time Honorary Consul of Finland and Secretary of the Consular Corps of Miami (where she remains an Associate Member), she now engages full-time in her passion of being a writer and teacher at many lifelong learning centers and JCCs around the country.

Among her many publications was a long-standing monthly column on consular affairs in Miami Today, and other pieces relating to consular law and status, for international business, and educational leaders.

“When the prestigious Kirkus Reviews gave the 1st edition of Foreign Consuls Among Us recommended status I knew I had accomplished my goal of fulfilling a real need for both consuls and business leaders,” Hofstadter said. “It’s been said that diplomacy should be shared with consuls but, as I found early in my own consular activities, local populations around the US usually lack an education in the nature of the functions of the foreign consuls in their communities. I wrote this easy-to-understand book for them, rather than single-mindedly for academics only."

“A named consular corps can be an important vehicle for informing international business leaders about the presence of sometimes a very large group of local consuls and the initial resources they can bring to the investigation of doing business abroad."

“Since embassies are located in a nation’s capital, and not in individual provinces or states where consuls function, the first step in international exchanges like people-to-people and sister city programs is usually most effective when started at the local consulate level."

“Among the most popular features of my book is the question- and answer-section which is based on real live scenarios with many additional ones in my blog https://chofstadter.com/blog."

“As a lifelong internationalist, and former educator (associated with three local universities), I find it particularly ironic that the business of international education — and yes, universities are a serious part of the global economy — commonly ignores the ‘consular component’ of their teaching objectives. For now, self-learning through my book is the answer to this dilemma.”

The Foreign Consuls Among Us has received glowing reviews on Amazon. A former ambassador stated, “This is the book with the answers! “. A business owner said, “ I’ll no longer be nervous about approaching a foreign consul and I now understand the expectations on both sides. Wish I had had this book years ago!” Another reader wrote, “Dr. Hofstadter's writing is clear, concise and entertaining. This book belongs in every corporate, government and educational institution's library.”

The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges to Globalism, ebook version, will be available at no charge from April 4 through April 6, 2023 at Amazon.

Alcohol And Drug Addiction - Bestselling Author Harriet Hunters Show Us How To Build Self Esteem In The Midst Of Chaos In Miracles Of Recovery: Self Care

Harriet Hunter's award-winning, bestselling book became the first-place recipient of the coveted President’s Award in nonfiction from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. Miracles features 365 powerful daily inspirations from a holistic view of recovery. A new Collector's Edition is now available.

Alcohol and drug addiction doesn't just ruin the lives of the addicts involved, it destroys the lives of those around them as well. Neglected responsibilities and broken commitments are just the tip of the iceberg. Addiction is an emotional black hole that swallows everyone in its path. Family members and friends suffer helplessly, feeling anger and guilt, often experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. And that's not even the worst part. Addiction can lead to criminal activities such as drug possession, theft, DUIs, and more, often resulting in legal trouble for the addict and shame for their loved ones. Day after day, addiction continues to ravage families, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Low self-esteem is likely a major factor in addiction of any kind. If low self-esteem is not directly the CAUSE, it can certainly be the RESULT, for those whose lives have been affected by alcohol and drug addiction.

Harriet Hunter, author of the bestselling book about addiction, 'Miracles Of Recovery', addresses this issue in a companion e-book titled, 'Miracles Of Recovery: Self Care'. She recently had this to say in an article titled, 'Self Care Is Not For Sissies':

"Before recovery I always thought self-care was being selfish. Isn’t it selfish to think of myself first at times?

In recovery, we learn that the epitome of selfishness is what we did using and drinking without regard for our spouse, our families, our job and so on. Every single thought we had was central to our efforts to get what WE needed for our drugs of choice: Do I have enough for the weekend? Where did my dealer say he’d be this weekend? Did that prescription come through yet from my doctor? And how much booze do I need for the night, the weekend, to get me through what’s coming down the pike in front me.

"As a newcomer in recovery we rarely, if ever, felt deserving. In fact, many of us had no idea what deserving looked like or how to get to that deserving place. Often, we turned turn away from being gentle with ourselves with negative messages that say, “That’s silly!” “I don’t have the time for that.” Or “I don’t deserve that after what I’ve done!”

"But the truth of the matter is, without finding forgiveness for ourselves in recovery, nothing changes. And until we do, we keep repeating the same old messages of self-loathing and shame. How does that happen? Well, we can’t give away to others (no matter what we do or how hard we try) what we don’t ourselves have. We must first accept a truth about us that we are NOT what we did. We were and are, sick people getting better, but until we spot it, we ain’t got it!”

"It feels natural for us to take care of others. We know intuitively what they want or need and we’re there to provide it. With those we love and care for, we could be especially gentle and kind.”

"But what about us? When was the last time we treated ourselves with a kindness equal to what we give to those we love and care for? Some equate being gentle with ourselves with being deserving.

"Somehow, we always found time for others. And while notable on the surface, for us newly recovered it can be just another distraction, the good excuse necessary to not look within ourselves which is where the needed compassion resides. When we walked into recovery we never said, “Woow this is just what I’ve needed to find me, this is great.” We were a broken shell of a former-self: emotionally, physically and spiritually.

"Learning to be gentle with ourselves is a premeditated commitment, a personal declaration that says we are worthy of self-care. Nurturing must begin with that person looking back in the mirror if we are to have the inner resources necessary to give care to those we love, and to own the elevated self-esteem we seek deep within.

"Here are just a few suggestions, to begin where your feet are, to change your perspective with a bit of forgiveness and by honoring the person that you are. Don’t forget: like it or not you ARE a child of a loving Great Spirit of the Universe, whatever name you give Him or Her. And the truth of our existence is: if you were not supposed to be here right this minute, you wouldn’t be.

"If you are a major caregiver of your family, then your ability to set boundaries is paramount to your ability to continue to make money and support others. Be sure you take time out of your day (20 to 30 minutes each morning and afternoon/evening) for personal time: to rest, go outside and walk, call others, and focus on you. These suggestions are but a beginning, but we all start here.

"H.A.L.T.

"If you are HUNGRY, be sure to eat!

"If you are ANGRY, practice removing yourself from the situation and pray, journal, or speak with someone you trust about the situation.

"LONELINESS is a sign of depression, an indication that it may be time for you to make a change in your behavior. Make a list of things you can do to prevent loneliness and try engaging more with others.

"TIRED? Then stop what you're doing when yo    u need to be sleeping more. Stop trying to be-all and do-all when these Big Four go by the wayside. We are ineffective to ourselves and others when we don't pay attention to what it is we need first. Everything and everyone follows after our own self-care when we begin to develop a ritual of care (balance) that works for us."

The e-book version of 'Self Care, Building Self-Esteem Among The Chaos' is available at https://harriethunter.org/product/self-care-download-epub-version/.

While there are many treatment approaches and programs, what is common to successful individuals who find themselves within a substance abuse program is the shared pain and the loneliness, often with an ongoing support system for the person battling the disease. That support system is what Harriet Hunter offers in “Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage and Faith.”

Hunter continues to receive rave reviews for her work from readers and reviewers alike. Vernita Taylor of Readers Favorite stated, “Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage, and Faith by Harriet Hunter is a great choice if you’re struggling with addiction because it offers a full year of inspiration and affirmations which I enjoyed. I see this book as a mentor or sponsor that is walking by your side and helping to lead you to a better, more improved you while teaching you how to deal with your stressors. The best teacher is someone who has been there and done that, and this book doesn’t disappoint. The author knows first-hand what it takes and how it feels to be addicted. If you need help along your journey, pick up a copy of this book; it’s highly recommended.”

Melanie Barton Bragg, Licensed Holistic Psychotherapist said, “Harriet shares her journey of grief, loss, and eventually arriving at a place of peace. We are privileged to have an inside look at how she has and is recovering. This daily meditation guide provides thought-provoking ideas to meditate on throughout the day and has been useful as discussion starters in my therapy groups. The usual 12-step daily meditation books have been in print for decades. This book is a refreshing addition to the standard recovery tools.”

Anthony Capozzolli of Dismantled Life Podcast said, “Miracles of Recovery has been a feast for my recovering soul. Every page is filled with love and helpful insights that lead to discovery. I read each page by date and randomly turn to other pages for an additional spiritual hug when I need one. It’s almost as if Harriet wrote her wonderful book for me. Page after page hits so close to home I often tear up from positive awareness and clarity of emotion.” Readers can find more 5-Star reviews from others on Amazon.

Miracles of Recovery received the first place President’s Award in nonfiction from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association.

Since her walk into recovery in 1999, Harriet has had one primary purpose: to show others how they can find hope and achieve their miracles while staying sober with a vision and determination to never go backwards, one day at a time.

Using her experience strength and hope, Harriet strives to be a conduit of hope and encouragement to others in their addictions, by showing them what continues to work for others. With practical tools, principles and promises as found in A.A., and other 12-step programs, she mirrors examples of how anyone can be free from the bondage of self, regardless of their situation.

With each purchase of a personalized autograph copy of Miracles of Recovery from her website, Hunter provides a no-charge copy of her e-book, "Your Daily Reprieve; How To Maintain Long-Term Sobriety Serenely Just For Today" in PDF format.

Details are available at her website at https://harriethunter.org/product/miracles-of-recovery-autographed-paperback-2/. All of her books are available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Harriet-Hunter/e/B07JR632FX?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1668523622&sr=8-1.

The Mentor: Top Motivational Speaker And Bestselling Author Rocky Romanella Talks About How Recognizing Our Mentors Can Help Lead To Success

A highly sought keynote speaker, trainer and Forbes Contributor, Romanella is founder and principal of 3SIXTY Management Services, LLC. He has over 40 years of leadership at Fortune 100's and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Director for UniTek Global Services, after retiring from a 36-year career with UPS.

Rocky Romanella is a highly sought-after motivational speaker and bestselling author, with a passion for helping individuals and organizations achieve their full potential. With many decades of experience, Rocky has inspired and motivated audiences across the globe with his dynamic presentations, powerful storytelling, and practical strategies for success, based on Balanced Leadership principles. His bestselling book, 'Tighten The Lug Nuts', has helped hundreds of people overcome obstacles, unleash their creativity, and transform their lives. His unique ability to connect with audiences on a deep level has earned him a reputation as one of the top motivational speakers in the country. One of his primary mentors was Coach John Wooden. Rocky recently shared his thoughts on the importance of recognizing our mentors:

I think it is important to take the time to think about and recognize those individuals both present and in the past that have made significant contributions to your personal and professional growth. For those who are still with us, a simple thank-you note or quick call maybe a nice way to recognize and thank them. Some of our mentors have passed, and keeping them in our thoughts, prayers and in our minds is a way to recognize them as well. Each of us can add our own personal touch to this recognition.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. For each of us there is person, a mentor, who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are. Sharing the story with those in your care is a way of recognizing them but also showing the value you are placing in mentorship.

For me, I have been fortunate to have worked with and mentored by some very special people, and none more remarkable than Coach John Wooden. As we move into this incredible time we call "MARCH MADNESS” the books by legendary Coach John Wooden have had a profound influence in my life and career. March Madness always brings me back to one of the great honors in my career and life, meeting and spending time with Coach Wooden.

I originally went to college to be a High School History teacher and a baseball coach, so I have always had a passion for coaching and a belief that great leaders were great coaches and teachers.

Coach Wooden was both gracious and hospitable as we met and spoke in his home. I count this as one of the incredible moments in my career, and it brought the books to life. After this meeting and conversation, Coach Wooden was an integral part my leadership world.

Coach Wooden has been called one of the most respected coaches in the history of sports and the most successful coach in men’s college basketball history. Under his leadership, the Bruins achieved many accomplishments, including a record 10 NCAA men’s basketball championship titles. Many believe the records set under Coach Wooden’s leadership are unbreakable. He was also well known for his inspirational theories.

At our meeting, during our conversations, and in all the future readings, Coach Wooden helped shape my professional life and values.

Coach Wooden identified two cornerstones that laid the foundation for his “Pyramid of Success”—industriousness and enthusiasm. Industriousness, as Wooden defined it, is more than just showing up and going through the motions. It is work, hard work. It is the ability to not only work hard but to continue to improve. On the other end of the structure is enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the heart behind the hard work. I learned and added my distinctive touch over time that “Hard work without enthusiasm is just that—hard work.” Enthusiasm is the ability to reach your full potential, to prepare and perform at your highest level. It is contagious, It brushes off on those you work with, those you work for, and the ones you lead. Coach Wooden and I were fortunate to coach, teach, and mentor some excellent individuals who went onto highly successful careers; Coach Wooden in the basketball arena and I in the business arena.

Two of the most important words in any language are, Thank You! Take the time to say those two words with that person who made a difference in your life.

Award Winning Composer Mark Wolfram Announces Invictus, Nine New Works For Winds And Percussion

Wolfram has been called the 'Poet Laureate of Band Composers'. Invictus features 60 minutes of rich instrumental textures with a broad range of compositional styles. This new studio recording features many of Los Angeles' finest performers.

Award-winning composer Mark E. Wolfram has announced the release of a new CD, Invictus, featuring nine new works for winds and percussion, performed by the Los Angeles Studio Wind Ensemble.

Wolfram's intimate familiarity with the wind and percussion genre results in a concert band recording that is a testament to his incredible talent, dedication, and artistic vision. Each piece has been crafted with intricate attention to detail and exemplifies a deep understanding of the unique qualities of wind and percussion instruments. The end result is a musical experience like no other, offering both performer and listener a breathtaking display of skill, precision, and artistry. It is exciting music that balances audience-pleasing accessibility while inspiring players to exceed their own limits.

Sheet music for all music on the CD is available from Sound Studio Productions. Selections include:

The Swashbuckler (A Concert March) for Band
Invictus (for Concert Band)
With Malice Toward None (A Hymn for Band)
The Tucson March (for Concert Band)
Monkey Mind (for Concert Band)
Four Fripperies for Band - Mvt. 1 "Afternoon Jaunt"
Four Fripperies for Band - Mvt. 2 "Ripples on a Shimmering Pond"
Four Fripperies for Band - Mvt. 3 "Comings & Goings"
Four Fripperies for Band - Mvt. 4 "March Azure"
Paean (for Concert Band)
Homily (for Concert Band)
Labyrinth (for Concert Band) - Mvt. 1 "The Journey Begins"
Labyrinth (for Concert Band) - Mvt. 2 "Meandering Paths"
Labyrinth (for Concert Band) - Mvt. 3 "Ritual Dance"

The composer has always been a cross-pollinator, drawing inspiration from all of the arts, verbal as well as visual and aural; the title piece of his new CD came from one of his favorite poems by William Henley, "Invictus," which tells of the triumph over adversity - and was invigorated from a viewing of the classic film KING’S ROW (1942), in which Henley's poem is summarized near the end of the film. Wolfram’s 9-minute piece reflects the poem and evokes the struggles and ultimate exultant victory over hardship and injustice.

This indomitable spirit is echoed in other titles on his CD, from the flamboyant swagger of THE SWASHBUCKLER to WITH MALICE TOWARDS NONE (based on Abraham Lincoln’s 2nd Inaugural Address) to solving the puzzle that is LABYRINTH. Wolfram’s PAEAN and HOMILY reflect sober, reverent lessons, while FOUR FRIPPERIES, MONKEY MIND and THE TUCSON MARCH embody more joyful fare.

The Los Angeles Studio Wind Ensemble consists of 24 of the finest recording studio musicians who were engaged for two days to record Mark’s wind band creations. Since COVID restrictions limited the number of musicians and social distancing they would need, multi-track technology was necessary to bring the performances to fulfillment.

Wolfram's new concert band studio recording has received rave reviews:

"In my opinion, there's nobody else writing for wind band like Mark Wolfram...his is a unique, passionate, sophisticated and honest voice that needs to be heard, and these new wind band pieces need to be performed!" - Marcellus Brown, Director of Bands - Boise State University

"I keep commissioning Mark and he always delivers! It helps that he's a master of orchestration, weaving colors and textures, melodies and propulsive rhythm into vibrant new works. Every musician gets rewarded with interesting lines to play; it's a win-win for everyone in the band and in the audience!" - László Veres, Arizona Symphonic Winds of Tucson

"Mark's stylistic breadth is always wonderful, from 'The Swashbuckler' to a completely contrasting work like 'Paean', Mark's pieces are really engaging and enjoyable - so well crafted." - Lt. Col. Bryan Miller, Conductor, Air National Guard Band of the Midwest

"I've just finished listening to Mark Wolfram's concert band music, recently recorded in L.A. by a group of top musicians. Beautifully written, his music is interesting, colorful, and optimistic. By "optimistic" I mean that his pieces either start optimistically or, if begun on a somber or disquieting way, tend to move in an optimistic direction, leaving the listener feeling good, even exalted! By "interesting", I mean Wolfram's choices of instrumental colors are excellent and never stay long in a territory that might bore listeners. This is achieved through his exceptional sense of form and his ability to change textures or to create welcome harmonic or melodic surprises.

The range of music that he has created varies from a sprightly march ("The Tucson March") to more challenging forays into the human psyche and emotions ("Monkey Mind", "The Swashbuckler"). Many pieces are witty, rhythmically energized, and delightful ("Four Fripperies for Band"). All the pieces are masterfully orchestrated, influenced by greats such as Sousa, Gil Evans, and John Williams. All are orchestrated so well that I didn't miss the strings. Bravo, Mark Wolfram!" - Jack Perricone, Chair Emeritus, Songwriting - Berklee College of Music

INVICTUS - Nine New Works for Winds & Percussion (WRCD-2255) is distributed internationally on the web at http://www.wrightwoodrecords.com.

Mark Wolfram is available for interviews and appearances. For more information contact Betty Richards at bettyrichards@wrightwoodrecords.com.

Bestselling Author Donna Fletcher Crow Reveals How Nearly Extinct Music Of Ireland Was Saved

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history, adventure and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history. Reviewers have compared her work with PD James, Dan Brown and Barbara Pym.

The harp has a long and rich history in Irish music and culture, dating back to ancient times. It has played an important role in traditional Irish music as a solo instrument and as part of ensembles. But by the 18th century it was in danger of being lost forever. Award-winning author Donna Fletcher Crow’s recent article in “The Authorized Version” uncovers how the vigorous efforts of a group of dedicated Belfast leaders, working from political and cultural motives, saved Irish music from extinction.

The month of March brings with it the celebration of all things Irish: Saint Patrick, soda bread, green landscapes, and Celtic music—all of them of venerable origin and still enjoyed. But for one event, though, we would have little or no traditional Irish music to enliven our celebrations today. Crow’s article explains how the Belfast Harp Festival of 1792 and the subsequent life-long efforts of one man gave us the rich Gaelic music we so enjoy today.

The Gaelic harp is nearly as ancient as Ireland itself. It is found on manuscripts and stone crosses dating back to the 8th century. The harp was a high-status instrument in Gaelic society. Chieftains always had a bard and a harper in their entourage. Harpers were so important to Gaelic life that their nails, which were used to pluck the wire strings of their instruments, were protected under early medieval Brehon law.

The harp has been the heraldic symbol of Ireland since medieval times. Based on the 14-15th century “Brian Boru” harp in Trinity College Dublin, the emblem appears today on Irish coins, ale labels, and passports. In earliest days every Irish chieftain had a bard and a harper as part of his entourage.

By the end of the 17th century, however, its music had all but disappeared. The Gaelic leaders had been defeated and Irish society transformed. The few remaining harpers had to rely on wealthy patrons for survival, and their art was rapidly dying out. It is little surprise, then, that when the civic leaders of Belfast sought a means of reviving Gaelic culture in 1792, they turned to the harp. The Belfast Harp Festival was planned as a major event in promoting the Gaelic Revival through restoring interest in the Irish harp which had played so large a part in traditional Irish culture. Festival organizers sought to demonstrate how intimately “The Spirit and Character of a people are connected with their National Poetry and Music,” as they declared on a handbill advertising the event.
Crow said: “I have always loved Irish music and love celebrating my own Irish heritage. It’s really unthinkable that today Gaelic harps might be nothing more than interesting museum pieces
with no authentic music to bring them alive.

“That’s why I was so happy to be able to include the story of the Harp Festival in my novel ‘The Shaping of the Union’ and to share its history in various articles. Thanks to the ‘Harp Ball,’ as the festival was called in 1792, and the numerous harp societies it has inspired through the centuries, down to today’s vigorous Historical Harp Society of Ireland, we all have this wonderful music to enjoy—not just for St. Patrick’s Day, but all year round.”

The full text of Crow’s meticulously researched and thoroughly illustrated article is available at her website at https://donnafletchercrow.com/p/489/The-Music-of-Ireland-That-Almost-Didnt-Survive.

In addition, the January/February issue of Jane Austen's Regency World Magazine Published Crow’s well-researched, deep dive into at the music of Ireland. In that article, titled "Belfast Harp Festival", she contrasted the role of the harp in Irish society and in the genteel world of Regency England.

The Belfast Harp Festival also plays a pivotal role in her book, 'The Shaping of the Union', Epoch 8 in The Celtic Cross Series. The Celtic Cross Series is a sweeping saga of the history of Scotland and Ireland. Mary and Gareth, young people trying to understand their modern world, delve into the past to find meaning for today.

1996, As conflict rages around her, American Mary Hamilton despairs of ever bringing about peace for the young people of Belfast. It was definitely the last straw when the reconciliation center where she and her fiancé Gareth are working was burglarized and Gareth injured. So, if they are leaving, why does Mary still feel so drawn to read their host’s family journal recounting the historic struggles of this land?

1789, Young Lenny Price and her brother join forces with the vibrant McCracken family—an alliance that takes them to the historic Belfast Harp Festival, but more dangerously, involves them with the Peep o’ Day Boys, and then the revolutionary plans of the charismatic Wolfe Tone. Can Lenny uncover the insidious spy bent on bringing all their plans to ruin, even as she harbors a secret message?

Many of her books have been bestsellers in their categories, including 'A Most Inconvenient Death', which achieved #1 bestseller status in Christian Suspense. The series is comprised of 10 novels. ‘The Keeper of the Stone,’ book 1 in the series was #1 on Amazon for Historical Scottish fiction.

The Daughters of Courage, 'Kathryn', 'Elizabeth' and 'Stephanie' is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area.

Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."

The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in 'The Flame Ignites', Dorothy L Sayers in 'The Shadow of Reality', Shakespeare in 'A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare', and Jane Austen in both 'A Jane Austen Encounter' and 'A Most Singular Venture'. Award Winning Romantic Fiction Novelist Rusty Blackwood Announces Release Of New Trailer For Her Latest Romantic Fiction Novel, Return To Autumn, Part 1

The new book is the follow up to her widely praised romantic fiction novel, The Perils of Autumn.

Acclaimed romantic fiction author Rusty Blackwood has announced the release of the trailer for her newest romantic fiction novel, Return to Autumn, Part One.

The sequel to the 5-star, multi-award-winning, romantic fiction drama, The Perils of Autumn, Return To Autumn Part 1, is a must-read for fans of romantic fiction. This captivating novel features compelling characters that are not only well-developed, but also multi-dimensional. Readers will quickly find themselves fully invested in the story's one-of-a-kind story line. As this story unfolds, the relationship between the 6 primary characters is put to the test by a dramatic struggle against internal and external forces that threaten to tear their lives apart.

The engaging plot is full of twists and turns, with plenty of surprises that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. It is a beautiful and captivating tale of love and family, and the lengths we'll go to fight for them. Return to Autumn, Part 1, is sure to leave some readers swooning and dreaming of a life like the one found within its pages.

The new book picks up four years after the end of The Perils of Autumn, and sweeps readers back to the often-perilous life at Landon Lawns Stables. It is now April 1976, and life in Landon Manor has carried on for Autumn Leeves-Landon, and her mature husband, Cyril, along with their young daughter Abby, and their astute, devoted housekeeper and friend, Agnes Harris.

Life in the Thoroughbred stables has also carried on for head groom and trainer, Manfred Montgomery, and stable foreman, William Brown, as they continue their ongoing quest to bring Duff Taylor, Landon Lawns’ exclusive jockey, to justice for suspicious involvement in an unsolved racing incident from his past. However, Duff has managed to add to his growing page of secrets, that of which is about to be revealed within these exciting pages.

The new trailer is available at Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opl4fZrlw7M. Return to Autumn, Part 1, is now available in ebook, hardcover and paperback form at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Rusty-Blackwood/author/B0092XLBRM?ref=ap_rdr&store_ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=true.

“I am so pleased to bring to readers the official theatrical trailer for Return to Autumn Part 1, the first part of a two-part sequel to my 5-star-multi-award-winning novel, The Perils of Autumn,” Blackwood stated.  “A theatrical trailer provides a short synopsis to the novel itself, providing an insightful, as well as entertaining look taken in a two and a half minute journey. It even amazes me to see my novel playing out in beautiful, choreographed segments. I hope you will enjoy it, and find yourself immersed in the story awaiting your eyes. I also invite you to watch for the theatrical trailer of Return to Autumn Part 2, coming soon.”

The new book has received rave review from readers and reviewers alike.

"Has all the right components for a Hallmark movie." – 5 stars – Readers Favorite Books

“This is an intriguing story and one couldn’t put it down once you start reading it. The pace of the story is fast and I enjoyed every bit of this book.” - Sassy Reviews

For The Perils Of Autumn, the first book in the series, Blackwood was named as a finalist in the Fiction Romance category by International Book Awards in the 2019 International Book Awards, the 10th annual awards program. She was also named a finalist in the American Book Fest's 2019 awards program in the same category. The first book also received a 5-star rating from Reader's Favorite.

The first book in the series, The Perils Of Autumn, set primarily in the early 1970’s, centers on a young Kentucky woman. Autumn Leeves is born in 1946 to Abigail Leeves, an unwed mother who struggles to make ends meet. Shunned by society of the time, mother and daughter find themselves in peril until they meet a kind old shopkeeper who takes them in.

By 1970, Autumn graduates nursing school and is sent on assignment by the local hospital to care for the terminally-ill wife of middle-aged English equestrian master, Cyril Landon. Landon is the owner of Landon Lawns Stables, successful Thoroughbred racing stable located just outside Lexington, Kentucky. Duff Taylor, world renowned jockey lives full-time at Landon Lawns and enjoys the many benefits it brings. Duff has a dark secret surrounding an unsolved racing incident from his past that he will go to any length to protect.

Autumn arrives at Landon Manor in time to be thrown into the fray, and finds herself caught in the ongoing disruption that ensues. Cyril and Autumn find themselves attracted to each other, but their ensuing romance is plagued by those trying to stop it, but they rise above it and marry. However peril again knocks at the door when Abigail suddenly dies, leaving a pregnant Autumn to mourn her loss while fighting to not miscarry her baby who is born through a perilous birth.

Reviewers have also lavished praise on 'The Perils Of Autumn'. Ray Simmons said, "Romance and good writing come together perfectly in Rusty Blackwood's 'The Perils of Autumn'. A great read." Trudi LoPreto said, "This book has it all and more. Please do not pass up 'The Perils of Autumn' - you will not be sorry."

Blackwood's previous 5-star rated romantic fiction novel, 'Willow's Walk', followed the release of 'Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary'.

Willow's Walk:

Willow's Walk' is a gripping tale that holds readers captive from the very first page. Set in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada in 2003, this touching story centers on the life and times of a woman determined to prevail at all costs, regardless of what is set before her, the result of which is certain to leave the reader reeling in its wake.

'Willow's Walk' also received a number of 5 star reviews from professional reviewers. Maria Beltran stated, "I highly recommend this book." Gisela Dixon said, “I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the life of a person presented in such a wonderful manner." Another said, "Brutally honest. I was touched by the bittersweet conclusion that sometimes purpose and happiness are only found through great tragedy ..."

Passions in Paris:

Blackwood's first romantic fiction novel is a sweeping saga written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'. It has been compared to Erich Segal's 'Love Story' and Nicholas Sparks' 'The Notebook'.

'Passions in Paris' likewise received rave reviews. Linkk Kula Kane said, "Passions in Paris I think stands its ground with these other powerful romantic stories like 'The Notebook' by Nicolas Sparks." Reader Fred Pifer stated that “'Passions', is a fascinating book of a love story that seemed to be written with me in mind. In the book 'Love Story' by Erich Segal, he told of a deep abiding love story that reminds me of Cullen and Joy’s in Ms. Blackwood’s book, but the twists of intrigue and mystery that she adds keeps the reader on edge throughout."

Information on all of Blackwood's work is available at Blackwood's site. Readers can download paperback and Kindle versions of her books at Amazon sites worldwide, including Amazon.ca.'Rusty Blackwood, A 3 Part Retrospect' is available at her website and on Youtube.

Best Christian Books For Women: Christian's Walk: The Journey, By Jack Billups, Achieves Bestseller Status

Author Jack Billups' first book, 'My Vietnam' was a bestseller in the Vietnam War Memoir category. The new book was inspired by John Bunyan's immortal classic, 'Pilgrims Progress'.

Jack Billups, bestselling author of 'My Vietnam', has announced that his latest Christian fiction book, 'Christian's Walk: The Journey', has achieved bestseller status.

Christian readers find comfort and inspiration in stories that align with their faith and values, while others appreciate the way Christian fiction can address complex moral and ethical issues in a way that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, deepen their faith and understanding of the world around them, and to reflect on their own experiences and relationships in a new light.

'Christian's Walk: The Journey', accomplishes all of the above.

Appropriate for men, women and even younger teens, it blends the remarkable insights of John Bunyan's immortal classic, 'Pilgrims Progress' with illustrated storybook imagery. Christian's Journey is everyone's journey; hosting danger, excitement, fears, doubts, tragedy, victories, and blessings. Biblical truths are presented in such a way that anyone can relate to and understand. Insightful, Chris's story penetrates the heart with reflection, conviction, guidance, comfort, and purpose.

'Christian's Walk' brings pertinent scriptures to life as the King's children travel through a confusing and turbulent world. The characters of Christian Walk become our mirrored images revealing the thoughts and intents of the heart.

When asked why he wrote Christian’s Walk, Billups offered an example featuring the main character in the book:

“Turn the TV off,” shouts Chris. Extremely frustrated, he races from the house mumbling, “I can’t believe this, the world has gone collectively insane; nothing makes sense anymore.” Everything right is wrong, and everything wrong is now right. Our leaders are no longer leaders but weak, self-indulging frauds, only looking out for themselves. Everyone is looking out for themselves! Whatever happened to courtesy, kindness, and integrity? Now it’s fashionable to disrespect seniors, boastfully spew profanities, and see who can push the furthest boundaries of decency and modesty! Why does my culture celebrate perversion and lewdness? Why are criminals pitied while their victims are ignored? My kids haven’t a chance!

“It’s like a cloud of darkness covering the earth’s atmosphere raining down storms of dissension, division, envy, hatred, and depravity on the human race. Families are being destroyed, creating a wake of disillusioned children. Nothing but bad news all the time. The only mention of Good News was spoken to me last week by an unusual older fellow named Pastor Jimmy.”

“My goal and passion for writing ‘Christian’s Walk,’ is to address the lost world that we live in with a colorful and unique fictional story that is inviting, effective and easy to read,” Billups stated. “This has been accomplished, now people need to have this book put into their hand.

“I honestly feel like a soldier fighting for the hearts and minds of millions of people who, like Chris, live in Destruction City, crying out in frustration.”

'Christian's Walk, The Journey', is available at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jack-Billups/author/B08R5PHYYV?ref=ap_rdr&store_ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=true.

Billups’ bestselling first book, 'My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter', is a stunning piece of writing that will likely take its place as one of the best Vietnam memoirs ever written.

‘My Vietnam’ is, at its core, a love story, combined with a dramatic and searing account of the Vietnam War experience. That experience is shared with a family member, in the most intimate way possible - a return trip to the battlefields of Vietnam.

Billups' memoir puts the reader into a pair of combat boots, and allows them to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch the Vietnam combat experience in vivid detail. That is but part of the story.

"Hey Dad, please share your Vietnam experiences?" Naomi's request set into motion a journey, 50 years into the past, as a "grunt" in the steamy jungles of Vietnam. Four months later with his memoir completed, Naomi asked, "Dad, let's go to Vietnam, just you and me?" Could the ghosts of Vietnam past morph into a father and daughter blessing in the present?

George C. Colclough, Col. Inf (retired) US Army, former president, and CEO of Smith & Wesson, stated in the introduction to the book, "Just another Vietnam War book? Certainly not, Jack takes you down two roads as he embarks on one remarkable journey with his daughter. First, Jack effectively articulates his story in such a way that puts the reader into the boots of a grunt, causing them to feel what he felt, and understand the daunting challenges of those who traveled the Vietnam jungle.

"Secondly, Jack and his daughter continued this remarkable adventure as they traveled back to Vietnam to return to the places where her father had so many vivid experiences. A wonderful story!"

What really sets this bestselling memoir apart is Billups' writing style. There is no pretense; nothing feels forced or contrived, made up or embellished. Billups presents his real-life characters in such a way as to make the reader feel intimately familiar with each of the members of his very young band of brothers, warts, and all. Billups tells it exactly as it was.

His style holds through the second part of the book, describing his return to Vietnam and the jaw-dropping changes now evident in modern day Vietnam. One of the highlights of the second part of the book is the reunion, bringing those somewhat innocent young men back together many decades later as mature men. Readers will get a vivid look, from many points of view, at how the Vietnam experience changed the lives of those who lived through that experience.

It is also a compelling memoir that reconciles America and Vietnam, then and now, including the culture shock of seeing Vietnam as it exists today. It offers a heartfelt and heartwarming message to the people of both countries, and a greater understanding of what the old song "Ruby" called "that crazy Asian war."

Readers and reviewers alike have praised 'My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter'. It has been called "A beautiful journey to healing," and "A thought-provoking and introspective Vietnam memoir". One reviewer said, "The book was so good, I was sad when I finished it." Another stated, "Jack's memory of his time in Vietnam has been beautifully detailed in his book. Not everyone wants to relive such a terrible page in our American history, but Jack was able to do a remarkable job talking about actual events that he lived through and came back home in one piece to give such a wonderful gift he has given to his daughter."

Another wrote, "The book delivered on my husband's hopes for a healing response to what our Armed Services faced over there. My husband usually can't read much Vietnam War material due to PTSD. He read this in just a few days; it was that good. Our thanks to the author for undertaking this topic and telling his story."

The book will make for an engaging read for veterans, spouses and children of veterans and others who have been impacted in any way by serving in any branch of the military, as the memoir includes the years leading up to, and after his service in Vietnam, including the effects his tour in Vietnam had on his family.

'Christian's Walk: The Journey' is available in ebook and paperback at Amazon. 'My Vietnam: A Gift to My Daughter' is available at Amazon in Kindle, paperback and audio formats. About Jack Billups:

As a 19-year-old Army volunteer, Sgt. Jack Billups received the Bronze Star with the V attachment. He was awarded the Air Medal, which went to those who participated in combat aerial missions. Assigned to the 1st Air Calvary infantry as a M60 machine gunner, Jack served in the steamy jungles near the Ho Chi Minh trail along the Cambodian border.

Jack grew up during the 1950s and early 1960s in a peaceful Southern California community populated by many senior citizens and dotted with chicken ranches. He is a dependable and talented "everyman" who makes no claim about his service in Vietnam except for being a patriotic American who did "the right thing" as he saw it. He maintained that attitude throughout his life. Asked to talk about his military experience by his daughter, he began writing it out, and ended up exposing 50-year-old forgotten memories and emotions about the jungle war, concluding with a trip back to Vietnam with his daughter.

The Bully Never Wins – Bestselling Author Jody Sharpe Announces Free Download Of New Mystery Novel, ‘Summer Of Angels’

A former teacher, Sharpe has direct experience regarding the effect bullying has on children. She is the author of a number of award-winning books and videos that can help readers and viewers find hope, inspiration and gratitude.

Bestselling author Jody Sharpe has announced the release of her latest mystery novel, ‘Summer of Angels’. The new e-book will be available at no charge on Amazon, March 6 through March 8, 2023 at Amazon at .

With her books about angels, Sharpe has captured the hearts of readers and many have attained bestseller status. However, her latest release marks somewhat of a departure from her Mystic Bay series. This time, Sharpe weaves an anti-bullying sub-theme into the intricate tapestry of her main story. Angels and a psychic detective come together to create a one-of-a-kind story that breaks the mold of traditional mystery novels.

Meteorologist and psychic, Gayle Force proves a force to be reckoned with as she moves back to her beloved Mystic Bay, California. While sleeping, an angel sent her a vision in a dream of a future event. Gayle realizes she must use her intuition to save an old man from drowning. But who is this old man?

With the help of intuitive attorney, Alex Knight, she finds they are caught in the middle of a future crime. But can Gayle and Alex solve the case and save the old man before it’s too late? With surprising twists and turns of intrigue and love, Gayle and Alex find there are angels at the helm as they help prove the bully never wins.

As a former special education teacher, Jody Sharpe witnessed bullying on a daily basis, and has used her experience to teach others how to overcome bullying behavior. That message is presented in most of her books.

“In my Mystic Bay Series and now Summer of Angels, a mystery, I hope the reader takes this message to heart,” Sharpe stated. “Inevitably, bullies fail and the strong with eyes to the heavens prevail.”

Sharpe's books have won numerous awards and many are bestsellers. Town Of Angels Christmas took Third Place Honors in the At-large division of the 2021 NFPW Communications Contest. The contest had entrants from 18 states, the District of Columbia and Spain. This Christmas book features an entire town of angels who rescue a group of 21 horses while teaching the town bully a lesson. Already a bestseller in the Holiday Fiction category, the book is certain to become a classic and will make an ideal gift for those who love angel stories, animal stories or just enjoy seeing bullies learn lessons in kindness.

Other books by Jody Sharpe include:

To Catch An Angel - Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

The Angel's Daughter - A secret lies in Mystic Bay, California and only two people know it. First there’s Hannah, a tender curly headed half Angel Then there’s her father, Gabe, an effervescent, teddy bear of a full-blooded angel. And it’s up to Hannah to keep the secret safe, but she’s made a colossal mistake telling her ex-boyfriend and writing professor, Sam Blakely. Now he’s written a book exposing the secret to the world.

20 Moon Road: An Angel's Tale, Book Five in the Mystic Bay Series, is now available. The latest book features a character from her Mystic Bay series, Madam Norma. Madam Norma is based on a woman who influenced Sharpe's life in a number of unforgettable ways.

Miracles still happen in the town of Mystic Bay California. Angels live as humans there. Angel Ken, a former football coach, is surprised when his late best friend, the indomitable psychic, Madam Norma, appears in spirit form and asks him to write the story of her life through her memories she will send him. Surprising to Angel Ken, Madam Norma saw thousands of angels since childhood.

Readers of the Mystic Bay Series who wish to start with the first book in the series can now access’ The Angel's Daughter’ on Kindle Unlimited. The book serves as a great introduction to Jody's concept of angels on earth.

'Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder' is a memoir based on her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs. The book placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women’s At-Large Communication contest. The book is as entertaining as it is illuminating. It’s a love story about the special students and others who over the years graced her life with just that, their grace.

With hearts of angels and challenges to face, the children took Sharpe along their journeys and inspired her own life’s journey of self-discovery. When sorrow came, their kindness helped her through. The synchronicity of events from high school to retirement changed her life for the better, turning her face toward heaven.

Midwest Book Review stated, "Sharpe's ability to see the good in circumstances and people identifies the 'special' in 'special needs' as she delineates her journey through the education system and those teaching and social encounters which changed her perspective and life.

"Teachers (especially those working with special needs kids) will find this spiritual and social reflection easily accessible. It's presented in vignettes which offer small, digestible bites of insight into a world where angels and kindness are present in more than one form."

‘Special Needs Children’ followed her recently released children's book about angels, ‘When The Angel Sent Butterflies’. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies. The book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.

In addition, on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her site, Sharpe presents stories of real life encounters with angels. The stories are available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Sharpe hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. Everyone is welcome to submit angel stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Sharpe's YouTube channel brings all of this together, offering segments on all of these topics. One topic of special interest is bullying, specifically as it relates to special needs children.

In addition to the National Federation of Press Women’s award, Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards'. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Jody also announced recently that two new screen treatments of her books are now available: ‘The Angel's Daughter’ and ‘Town Of Angels Christmas’. Angelic presence on earth is the central theme of all the books in her Mystic Bay Series. The series is comprised of four books, the first of which, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, is now available on Kindle Unlimited.

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.
