'The Foreign Consuls Among Us' By Award-Winning Author Cami Hofstadter Receives Recommended Status From Kirkus Reviews

Hofstadter's work is an invaluable resource for every person in the United States who, when interacting with a foreign consul in the cultural, business, or educational arena, has ever been confused by persistent misinformation and incorrect terminology

'The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges to Globalism' by award-winning writer Cami Hofstadter has received 'recommended' status from Kirkus Reviews. The book was written for people who interact with a foreign consul in the cultural, business, or educational arena.

An easy-to-read reference book and teaching tool, the book contains a comprehensive glossary. Each chapter begins with real-live dilemmas, followed by suggested resolutions. It’s the only book of its kind that has a Question and Answer section.

Today, there’s a consular presence in all fifty states and this has resulted in an increasing number of individuals and communities wanting to move from the “insular to the consular.” The book is specifically geared towards five key audiences on the front-line of citizen diplomacy.

1. All communities with a consular presence. These range from small municipalities and other administrative units to one or more states.

2. Corporate executives and commercial interest groups. By knowing how to tap into the consular network in a professional manner, anyone seeking to become a serious player in the global economy will benefit from understanding the consular institution.

3. Colleges and universities with an international dimension. Today’s fast-growing cross-border education movement requires a full knowledge of the functions and role of a foreign consul.

4. Organizations seeking the benefits of a consular network. These groups range from traditional membership organizations to those engaging in international advocacy.

5. Career and honorary consuls with a stake in being recognized for their official position. Both categories will find this book useful as reference material for themselves and the communities in which they function.

"I wrote this book because early on in my consular career I came to realize that Americans generally didn’t understand what it means when someone represents a foreign nation as a consul," Hofstadter stated. "As I was frequently asked to explain or even mediate these situations I saw a real need for a practical guide that resonates with everyone, including consuls themselves. My copious notes then became the natural basis for the book."

Cami Hofstadter is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at aboutconsuls@outlook.com. 'The Foreign Consuls Among Us: Local Bridges to Globalism' is available from Amazon and other quality booksellers. More information is available at the website at http://www.seagreenpress.com.

Race Relations In America - Author Y Abrahaim Paints An Enlightening Picture In 'Travesty'

Abrahaim creates inspirational literature that gives readers a new sense of awareness about the world around them

Recently Lee Daniels, co-creator of 'Empire', stated in an article on the NY Post website that race relations in America are in an ugly place. Another piece on the Palm Beach Post website presented poll results from a survey for the National Bar Association that demonstrated many people feel race relations are worse off than 10 years ago. The survey found that "only 24 percent of whites and 19 percent of blacks believe the nation is close to achieving racial equality." Another piece in the NY Daily News printed picture of retired tennis star James Blake being taken down when police mistook him for an identity thief suspect.

Race relations in America has proven to regress over the last few years; the unjustified police shootings and insane church massacres, illustrate the struggle for racial equality continues; in addition validates Lee Daniels’ statement about race relations in America being in an ugly place. The issues surrounding the struggle for racial equality need to be brought to the forefront of the American consciousness nearly every day. It would appear as though things really are getting worse.

Y. Abrahaim's recently released inspirational novel, 'Travesty - A Love Story' weaves a tale around race relations in America during the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which took place over the course of one year ending on December, 1956. 'Travesty' relates to the tale of a forbidden interracial relationship during the boycott which lead to lies, treachery and murder.  The story is told by a young Klansman who, 40 years later, has to explain his involvement in this murder that occurred 40 years earlier in his life. The case laid cold for 40 years until evidence from an unknown witness surfaces, forcing those involved to bring closure to the family of this young woman who was brutally murdered. Through the discoveries surrounding this case reveals the truth behind a murder that rocked the lives of all involved.

"The first question everyone asks is why I wrote a book about an interracial relationship during the mid-1950s," Abrahaim stated. "I wrote 'Travesty' because I wanted to shine light on how people will believe a  'travesty' even when the truth is staring them in the face. Because of the power behind the person presenting the 'travesty' people will not only believe it, but will kill, and even die to perpetuate it."

Travesty is a book that depicts a "travesty" through the eyes of a young Klansman who discovers the travesty surrounding his life, and through this discovery, he realizes the love and meaning behind his life is just that . . . a travesty. This realization derives through the most unexpected individual; a young African American woman. Through the realization of this "travesty" a life is taken, and through that other lives are destroyed. 40 years later he now has to confront the reason behind this life lost, and bring clarity to his role in the murder that rocked the lives of all involved.

A prolific writer, Abrahaim has also recently released 'Real Women Pray', a combination of prayers and poems that uplift, motivate and inspire women of all ages. Other works currently in production include:

'Memoirs of Capitol Hill: Capitol Hill, The President And Me'. The first in a four volume series, the storyline details an exclusive interview with a retired Secret Service agent who reveals an unprecedented friendship, and thus, creates  an unlikely one. Through this interview the two discover the “what” that was lacking in their lives, while creating a memoir expounding on the life of the most controversial President to have ever been inaugurated into the White House.

'The King And I: Emmanuel: A musical that talks about the life of a King through the eyes of those who knew Him as Emmanuel, and were touched by Him as Jesus Christ.

'The Sacrifice', In which The Law of Free-Will creates a battle zone within the Universe between good and evil over what we know as Earth.

"When the American people can respect one another is when race relations in America will improve," Abrahaim concluded. "History has to be part of that improvement; this generation needs to know their history. They need to be made aware of race relations then and now; hopefully this will bring to mind how much we have regressed as opposed to progressed."

Y. Abrahaim is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at yisrah.smith@gmail.com. 'Travesty' and 'Real Women Pray' are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Payhip. More information is available at her website at http://www.InspirationalLiterature.net.

About Y. Abrahaim:

Y. Abrahaim has been writing since the age of 9. She believes being able to create a life, an event, a theme, plot, in addition to creating the effect the event, theme, plot has on the character is the most exciting act one can exercise. She also believes that being an author is empowering, in that an author develops an individual and through that creation another life is touched, moved and empowered. Thus a mind is opened to an endless possibility of another world that exists in a life created on paper.

Is the Pope Antichrist And Is He Against America Asks Dr. Richard Ruhling

Dr. Richard Ruhling is an expert on Biblical prophecy and is the author of 'The Alpha & Omega Bible Code'

As millions speculate on whether they will be raptured or face the antichrist, it's ironic that he among us. The pope is not against Christ, but his claim to be the vicar of Christ puts him as a usurper in a place that only Christ can hold. He is also the enemy of America as Dr. Ruhling claims the evidence supports.

Dr. Richard Ruhling believes the pope comes with a plan that is as phony as a $3 bill. His social experiment has been tried for centuries in South America where his church has dominated governments since the time that America was also colonized and they have more natural resources than our western United States. Why are they so poor? A visit to Colombia and Venezuela in 1960 revealed half the people couldn't read or write and an excellent breeding ground for communism because of their poverty and ignorance.

The huge difference is that America was founded by Protestants fleeing the papal dominated Old World, risking their lives for freedom here. And they established a Constitution that was all about freedom that is anathema to Rome. Rome says “no man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true...”

The Syllabus of Errors, issued by Pope Pius IX, “condemns freedom of religion, conscience, speech, press, as it asserts the pope’s temporal authority over all civil rulers.” Rome downplays this for public relations, but the Syllabus of Errors is part of the ordination vows for priests worldwide.

Jesuits from the days of Lincoln have studied how to divide and conquer the US. Roman Catholic Chief Justice Tany said, “Negroes have no rights that the white man is bound to respect." They favored slavery and were behind the Ku Klux Klan. The pope was the only foreign entity to recognize Jefferson Davis as “Most Illustrious President” of the Confederate States.

Rome promoted Hitler and in the Axis Alliance they signed a concordat to support him in return for making the world Catholic when he won World War II. After losing, the United Nations was their best bet to regain lost supremacy in the Old World, aiming for a New World Order (Novus Ordo Seclorum on our $1 bill).

Rome represents everything America does not want or need except acceptance of our alternative lifestyles that their bad theology causes. Luther said, If there is a hell, Rome is built on it. Their claim to forgive sin (for a price) cheapens the death of Christ into no real repentance. In this sense the system is antichrist, in place of Christ who only can forgive sin. The pope's claim to be the vicar of Christ is best understood in Latin: Vicarius Filii Dei. It adds up to 666 in Roman numerals, which is the warning in Revelation 13:18.

If there is any question, Rome is described as a harlot riding the beast of New World Order in Revelation 17 where she commits fornication with kings--a church involved with politics, using and abusing government to punish heretic, she is “drunken with the blood of saints.” She is decked in gold (wealthy) and scarlet (the color of cardinals), a Mother of Harlots (churches that no longer protest her) and sitting on seven hills. She is called Babylon (confused ideologies are okay, just ban protest as “hate speech,” that is punishable).

This shouldn't be construed as hate against Catholic people, many of whom are sincere Christians doing the best that they know. In times of ignorance God winks, but in times of judgment (impending) we must repent (have a change of mind that goes deeper than money for a false system.)

Before America gets flushed down the toilet with an economic collapse that Rome is also capable of orchestrating, Ruhling asks that people pass this warning along. It could save others from the false worship of Lucifer (the angelic name of Satan before he became the devil) that's also done in the Vatican, a word that means “divining serpent.”

Dr Richard Ruhling is author of "Alpha & Omega Bible Code", a book that has mostly 5-star reviews on Amazon and is also available on his website at http://thebridegroomcomes.com.

St. Peter Would Tell Congress, 'Don't Bow to the Pope' Says Author Richard Ruhling

Dr. Richard Ruhling is an expert on Biblical prophecy and is the author of 'The Alpha & Omega Bible Code'

When Cornelius fell down to worship Peter, Peter said, "Get up for I am a man like you are." The papacy claims Peter as the first pope, but there is no record of it in the Bible and Peter would not accept worship as popes do.

Priests and popes also take vows of celibacy, but Peter was married. Celibacy is against man's sexual nature with a result of homosexuality, pedophilia, rape of nuns by priests (40% in one report) and abortion—abuses that are widespread in 23 countries, confirmed by the Vatican.

George Will accuses Pope Francis of “Fact-Free Flamboyance [as] he embraces ideas impeccably fashionable, demonstrably false and deeply reactionary. They would devastate the poor on whose behalf he purports to speak.” (Washington Post)

Catholic Congressman Paul Gosar is boycotting the pope's visit to Congress, saying, "If the pope spoke out with moral authority against violent Islam, I would be there cheering him on. If the Pope urged the Western nations to rescue persecuted Christians in the Middle East, I would back him wholeheartedly. But when the Pope chooses to act and talk like a leftist politician, then he can expect to be treated like one.”

"With the exception of Muslim countries and Russia," Ruhling stated, "the Catholic Church is involved in politics worldwide and this is its strategy to regain its lost power in a UN-run global government as Catholic nations vote the pope's agenda. Use and abuse of governments to enforce their dogma is a reason the Bible describes Rome as the harlot committing fornication with the kings of the earth, wealthy, decked in scarlet, drunken with the blood of saints and sitting on seven hills riding the beast of New World Order, a description that fits no other entity in Revelation 17."

Ruhling spent a summer in Colombia and Venezuela in 1960 and says many wanted to come the the United States, but half of them couldn't read or write. With the Catholic Church colonizing Latin America at the same time the United States was colonized by Protestants fleeing the Old World, Ruhling says God blessed our nation for its Protestant Constitution allowing freedom of religion and a government without a pope.

In Ruhling's opinion, freedom cannot exist in Catholicism. It teaches that “no man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true.” The Syllabus of Errors, issued by Pope Pius IX, “condemns freedom of religion, conscience, speech, press, as it asserts the pope’s temporal authority over all civil rulers.” Rome downplays this for public relations, but the Syllabus of Errors is part of the ordination vows for priests worldwide. (Roman Catholicism by Dr. Loraine Boettner, Presbyterian & Reform Publ).

The pope’s Laudato Si' paints Sunday for “family values” and the economy to preserve “creation” but it turns the signpost from the Sabbath as the Creator’s memorial in the 4th Commandment to their memorial, Sunday. Pagan worship of the sun and the moon, named Allah, is as ancient as the Bible’s warnings against them, says Ruhling, adding that the apostles broke bread together daily, worshiping “every Sabbath.” The Bible doesn’t support Sunday worship.

Ruhling says numerous websites show the pope's title, Vicarius Filii Dei adding up to 666 in Roman numerals. Since the pope's agenda includes Sunday as a papal, non-biblical promotion, this should be a no-brainer. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

'A Flight Without Wings', By Author Brian McLaughlin, Details Amazing Near Death Experience

McLaughlin's book is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no theology and no hidden agenda

Near death experiences are fascinating, mysterious and, in some cases, a source of controversy. Nevertheless the public is utterly fascinated with near death experience stories. ABC Eyewitness News in Houston recently ran a piece that stated the New York Times Bestseller, '90 Minutes In Heaven', is now being made into a movie starring Kate Bosworth and Hayden Christiansen.

Why do these stories appeal to us in such numbers? Perhaps it is because they bring certainty. Clarity. And, for many of those who have been through such an experience, a sense of real. lasting peace. It is a state of peace that results from knowing with certainty that we exist forever.

In 'A Flight Without Wings', Brian McLaughlin vividly depicts his journey into Heaven and his following return to life caused by a massive head trauma sustained while vacationing in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico twenty-one years ago. McLaughlin’s journey to Heaven and back brought that sense of certainty, clarity and peace. But what he realized afterward is that the peace we seek is not something we will find far off in an unknown future – it is instead right here, right now. We CAN be certain now. We CAN experience that peace in this very moment. His epiphany occurred when he heard the phrase “My peace I give you,” as he understood, for the first time, what those words were meant to convey.

Unlike some books on the subject, Brian's book is raw. It is real. There is no embellishment, no theology and no hidden agendas or requisites in order to embrace the benefits.

“My book merely gives a simple, non-threatening account of what I saw and felt after passing over, and how that experience has affected my life with unexplained epiphanies afterwards. It leaves room for almost all, to adapt or adopt conclusions that support their own belief systems”

Heaven is not a future place. It is instead a current state. Like others who have had the same type of experience, Brian's life was transformed by his near death experience. He knows he was sent back for a reason.

“I feel that I owed it to myself and the readers to be honest and transparent. For now, I embrace the clarity and understanding that brings unexplained ultimate peace to my life. I am convinced that this peace is obtainable here and now for all believers”.

Reviews of the book have been overwhelmingly positive. One stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."

Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal” …. “such profound perspective”

Brian McLaughlin is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at EMAIL. He recently appeared on The Authors Show and a video of that interview is available at his website. 'A Flight Without Wings' is available at Amazon, Payhip and other book retailers. Jail Time For Exercising Religious Freedom In America - Christians Must Stand Firm In The War On Christianity Says Author John DeFilippis

Dr. DeFilippis believes our society has reached an all-time low and that it is time for Christians to take the lead in reversing our moral decline. If we fail, he believes "our children will inherit a depraved, soulless society that is destined to implode."

The question on nearly everybody's mind today is: Where do we draw the line in regards to religious freedom?  On one hand we believe religious freedom is a right held by all Americans.  On the other hand we see Kim Davis jailed for standing her ground and refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, resulting in jail time. Today. In America.

Freedom may be the wrong word, for if freedom is not total it's not really freedom at all. It is something else entirely.  There is no such thing as partial freedom. Certainly we must exercise that freedom within the boundaries of law. When two sets of laws clash however, one must be chosen as the ruling standard. In this case it appears as though the law of man has taken the higher position.

Dr. John DeFilippis, author of a number of Christian fiction fantasy novels, believes the persecution of Kim Davis should be seen as a call to rally all Christians worldwide.

"The unthinkable has finally happened," DeFilippis stated. "What we've learned from the jailing of Kim Davis is that Americans can now be imprisoned for exercising their religious freedom. I suppose it was inevitable given the direction our society has been going, but I honestly never believed it would happen so soon."

The war on religion is exemplified in my series of novels, which depicts a society that loses its faith and begins to persecute those who believe in a higher power. Scribes and priests are thrown in jail, and all references to religious faith are eliminated from educational institutions. The end result is a tyrannical, oppressive regime that tramples on the rights of its citizens and essentially deifies itself.

If there is one thing I know, it's that no government can ever take the place of God. It actually saddens me that my novels have become so prophetic, but hopefully they will aid in the effort to rally people of faith in the face of such blatant persecution.

As Christians, we must take the lead and do all we can to reverse the precipitous moral decline that has occurred over the past several decades. The characters in my books face the same long odds when their kingdom falls into the hands of men who despise anything remotely having to do with religion. Though on the surface they seem overmatched, the protagonists ultimately realize that all things are possible when good people come together and unite in faith. I hope that we can do the same. If we fail, then our children will inherit a depraved, soulless society that is destined to implode."

In the tradition of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, DeFilippis' books offer a message of faith and hope while remaining true to the epic fantasy fiction form. Crossroad Press recently released John DeFilippis’ fourth novel, 'The Last of the Thirteen'. 'The Last of the Thirteen' is the final volume of DeFilippis’ epic fantasy series, 'The Medallion of Mavinor'. John's works have been compared to 'The Lord Of The Rings' and 'Game Of Thrones'.

The characters in DeFilippis' novels wage an epic battle that could well determine the fate of the world. But as the conflict comes to a head, all of them realize one thing—they will need more than just courage and might to win the day. For the most lethal weapon they wield is neither sword nor shield, but rather the faith that resides deep in their hearts.

"Like the characters in my books, the greatest weapon we have in our arsenal is our faith. It is my hope that Christians everywhere will also take up the fight and that they too will realize that if God is with us, then who can possibly be against us?”

Dr. John DeFilippis is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below. All of DeFilippis' titles are available in print, ebook and pdf formats at Crossroad Press. More information is available at John DeFilippis’ website at http://www.DrJohnDeFilippis.com.

About Author John DeFilippis:

Dr. John DeFilippis grew up in the Greenville section of Jersey City, graduating from Our Lady of Mercy Grammar School in 1984. In 1988 he graduated from Saint Peter’s Prep and went on to study at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. DeFilippis attended the School of Theology at Seton Hall University for three years, from 1993 to 1996. During this time he earned his master’s degree in theology and discerned a call to the Catholic priesthood. After ultimately deciding that he did not have a religious vocation, Dr. DeFilippis transitioned into the field of education.

He taught for four years at both the elementary and secondary levels, and earned a second master’s degree in educational administration. In 2000 Dr. DeFilippis made yet another transition, this time accepting an offer to become an academic administrator at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City. He would spend the next seven years there, and in 2007 he completed his Ph.D. in educational leadership at Seton Hall University. After finishing his doctoral degree, he accepted an offer to become a director in the Division of Academic Affairs at New Jersey City University.

Frances Fuller, Author Of Book About Lebanon, 'In Borrowed Houses', Questions US Apathy Toward Lebanon

Frances Fuller's award-winning memoir, 'In Borrowed Houses', gives readers a penetrating glimpse of the Middle East from the inside. She puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen

Frances Fuller, award winning author of 'In Borrowed Houses', has denounced the U. S. State Department’s apathy toward Lebanon, asking, “How can we show so little concern for such a crucial country at this dangerous moment in history?”

In response to the U. S. government’s failure to appoint a new ambassador to succeed David Hale in Lebanon, Fuller wrote to the Middle East Bureau of the State Department to ask for reasons but received no answer to her question.

Fuller points out that the prominent English language newspaper, the Beirut Daily Star, suggested on August 22 that this failure implies apathy toward Lebanon.   She stresses that Lebanon is deserving of U.S. attention, being not only the friendliest country in the Arabic-speaking world, but the most pluralistic in the Middle East and in a perilous situation.  “While pressured on all sides by the conflict in Syria and struggling with internal weaknesses, Lebanon has absorbed refugees equal in number to one-third of its own population and requires political, financial and emotional support.  Is this the way we treat our friends when they are in trouble? Lebanon needs an American ambassador, and if we are going to have any positive impact in the Middle East, we need our relationship with Lebanon,” Fuller says.

Told in short episodes, Fuller’s book reveals the alienation, confusion and courage of civilians in the Lebanese civil war, introducing to the reader a variety of real people with whom the author interacts: editors, salesmen, neighbors, refugees, soldiers, missionaries, lawyers, shepherds, artists, students. With these people she works, studies, plays games, prays, laughs and cries, all to the accompaniment of gunfire. Together these small stories tell what war is like for civilians caught on a battlefield, and they create the impression of the Lebanese as a fun-loving, witty, patient and resilient people. They also compose, not a political history, but a historical document of a time and a place.

Critics have praised  ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “…a well written book full of compassion…a captivating story…”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching…”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “….western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances Fuller is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at frances0516@att.net. Fuller's book is available at Amazon and other book retailers. A free ebook sample from 'In Borrowed Houses' is available at http://www.payhip.com/francesfuller. More information is available at her website at http://www.inborrowedhouseslebanon.com.

About Frances Fuller:

Frances Fuller spent thirty years in the violent Middle East and for twenty-four of those years was the director of a Christian publishing program with offices in Lebanon. While leading the development of spiritual books in the Arabic language, she survived long years of civil war and invasions.

How To Find Peace And Happiness - Award Winning Author Grace Mattioli's Unique Perspective On Relationships Offered In 'Olive Branches Don't Grow On Trees'

Grace Mattioli delivers insight through story.  She writes engaging and moving tales that combine the insight and inspiration of 'The Alchemist' with the humor and quirkiness of 'A Confederacy of Dunces'

Peace and happiness are the most basic of human needs, coming in right behind air and water. A lack of air or water kills very quickly. The lack of peace and happiness just takes a little longer. While we might not immediately make the connection, the search for happiness lies at the core of every human endeavor and every human problem. This begs the question - 'Is there a key to happiness'?

Psychologist Arthur Aron, in a recent piece on Tech Insider entitled, "A Psychologist Reveals The Single Biggest Predictor of Human Happiness", stated the answer to that question clearly when he said, "The single biggest predictor of human happiness is the quality of [a person's] relationships."

Grace Mattioli, award winning author of 'Olive Branches Don't Grow On Trees', has produced a masterful work that details the search for peace and happiness at the level of family relationships. Her treatment of the subject is filled with a quirky style of humor and a healthy dose of inspiration.

"I wrote 'Olive Branches Don’t Grow On Trees' because I wanted to write a story that showed the inextricable connection between peace and happiness," Mattioli stated. "When Silvia discovers the relationship between her internal restlessness and the disharmonious state of her family, her goal of making peace in her family takes on a whole new dimension, and she pursues this goal with a renewed sense of tenacity."

The father, Frank, works as a judge in a local courthouse, and spends his spare time drinking, cooking food that no one eats and maintaining the most perfectly manicured yard in town. The mother, Donna, is a college professor, and is giving single life a go after spending almost all of her adult life with Frank. Angie, the eldest child, married rich and devastated her father by moving from South Jersey to North Jersey, which as far as Frank is concerned, might as well be another planet. Silvia’s older brother, Cosmo, is brilliant and great at everything he does, but is also a classic underachiever. Her younger brother, Vince, is bursting with energy and is on his way to save the world. And then there is Silvia: Energetic, idealistic, and young, striving to bring her family together, while also struggling to settle down and find a career in which she may utilize her artistic talents. She is extremely independent as she can drive across the country and move from place to place alone. She is highly adaptable and does whatever she has to do to get by, whether that be working as a nude model for art schools or a candy store manager at a mall. Last but not least is Grandma Tucci, whom Silvia loves fiercely. She has passed away years ago, but remains with Silvia in spirit, almost as if guiding her through her adventures in the lessons of life, love, and peace.

While this book addresses such serious issues as alcoholism and offers insight on such topics as forgiveness, it is very humorous and entertaining. As one reviewer wrote:  "The author weaves a tale that is a moving and realistic portrayal of a dysfunctional family with enough drama and humorous family situations that will keep the reader engaged and entertained, while providing a witty sense of humor and subtle messages of life lessons to extend the olive branch and learn to live, love and forgive."

"People will love this book for many reasons," Mattioli concluded, "among them the unforgettable characters such as Frank, the family patriarch. He’s a loud, contentious drunk, but beneath his rough exterior, he is a boy who saddens at the last sip of a milkshake. The Grecos are a quirky bunch of highly individualistic characters that readers will find funny, lovable and very human." As one reviewer wrote: "The family members each find a self-destructive way to survive the chaos…some run away and some fight!  The result is that most can’t be in the same room together without backbiting and sniping at each other.   The author, still somehow, manages to make us care about this family.  All of the Grecos... are entertaining and their quirks are endearing"

In her realistic fiction books, Mattioli paints pictures with words. Her works are filled with vivid descriptions and her characters are extremely dimensional and unforgettable. While her books center around serious issues such as family relations, death and addiction, they are very humorous and fun; readers will be entertained as they gain valuable insights that they can take with them long after they have finished the last page.

Grace Mattioli has won numerous awards. She was chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' in 2015. 'Olive Branches Don't Grow On Trees' was named as one of the 'Best Of 2012' by Suspense Magazine.

Rusty Blackwood, Author Of Romantic Fiction Novel 'Passions In Paris', Announces New Video For Upcoming Release Of 'Willow's Walk'

Blackwood's latest romance novel follows 'Passions In Paris', a romantic fiction novel written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'

Canadian Indie author Rusty Blackwood, author of 'Passions In Paris', has announced the release of a new video for 'Willow's Walk'.  'Willow's Walk', her latest romantic fiction novel, is scheduled for release in the fall of 2015.

'Willow's Walk' follows the release of Blackwood's romantic fiction novel, 'Passions in Paris: Revelations Of A Lost Diary'. Her first romantic fiction book is a sweeping saga written in the tradition of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come'. It has been compared to Erich Segal's 'Love Story' and Nicholas Sparks' 'The Notebook'.

'Willow's Walk' is a gripping new tale, certain to hold readers captive from the very first page. Set in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada in 2003, this touching story centers on the life and times of a woman determined to prevail at all costs, regardless of what is set before her, the result of which is certain to leave the reader reeling in its wake.

While in pre-release, the book has received a number of 5 star reviews from Readers Favorite.

The path each person walks is entirely their own. The pitfalls along that path, as well as the way in which they are dealt with are entirely up to the individual. But Willow Sutherland Crosby walks a far-different path, and with her own agenda.

Abuse, deception, intrigue, and a never ending quest for happiness and love - will she find these, or will her blind determination be her downfall?

"I am so excited to be awaiting the fall release of my newest romantic fiction drama, 'Willow's Walk,'" states Rusty Blackwood, "And this riveting, gorgeous trailer presents the story in a vivid, in-your-face style that is very much the way Willow Sutherland-Crosby presents herself in the precarious situations she manages to find herself in." Miss Blackwood further states, "I am also pleased that this touching story has received a 5-star rating before its actual release. I'm proud of 'Willow', which I feel is a wonderful follow-up to 'Passions in Paris', and I hope it will bring as much entertainment to the reader as it did for me to write it. Every time I view this trailer, my emotions soar along with its stimulating score and spectacular imagery, that of which has totally captured the very essence of Willow Sutherland-Crosby's unique journey."

'Passions In Paris' has also received rave reviews. Linkk Kula Kane said, "Passions in Paris I think stands it ground with these other powerful romantic stories like 'The Notebook' by Nicolas Sparks. A long kindled love, which finds its place from a romantic spark in the mind of one, to a mounting real life experience between two different worlds, brought together by an on going weave of circumstances, doubts, mystery, and intrigue, that sets ablaze forbidden emotions on a roller coaster ride of endless desire, and surmounting obstacles, that test the strength of their determination to prevail. Miss Blackwood has a rare talent to bring this and more into the minds and hearts of those who have had the privilege to be transported into her wonderful world of story telling."

Reader Fred Pifer stated that 'Passions', " . . .is a fascinating book of a love story that seemed to be written with me in mind. In the book 'Love Story' by Erich Segal, he told of a deep abiding love story that reminds me of Cullen and Joy’s in Ms. Blackwood’s book, but the twists of intrigue and mystery that she adds keeps the reader on edge throughout."

Other reviewers have praised 'Passions In Paris'. Reviewer Cat Howard said, "Eternal love, finding your true soul mate, and how echoes from past lives can influence the present, this story has it all . . . " Another Reader's Favorite reviewer stated, "Enjoyable and exciting, this is a book for people who have romance flowing in their veins." The book has a 4 star rating on Amazon.

The new video is now available at Blackwood's site on the 'Willow' page. Readers can download the Kindle version of 'Passions In Paris' at Amazon sites worldwide, including Amazon.ca. 'Passions In Paris' is also available at Amazon in paperback, Barnes and Noble in paperback and Nook versions, at Create Space and in all electronic versions at Smashwords.

Rusty Blackwood is available for interview in the Toronto area and can be reached using the information below or by email at writerrusty@hotmail.ca. More information is available at her website at http://www.rusty-blackwood.com.

Is The Pope The Problem Behind The Economy, Failing Freedoms And False Worship Asks Dr. Richard Ruhling

Dr. Ruhling believes the upcoming visit by the Pope may affect US markets

Malachi Martin, Vatican insider revealed the papal role in moves to establish and control the first one-world government. John Paul is gone, but with Francis it's coming together as the world falls apart.   Economic collapse is just one facet. Freedom is failing as a Marxist president continues promised “change.”

Papal visits have been bad news for the US. The markets crashed 500 points in 1987 after John Paul's visit. We forget Benedict's visit in May, 2008, but a priest who visited the Vatican semi-weekly told his mother things would change before the election and life in America would never be the same. How did he know?

This pope's visit to Congress on Sept 24 is ON the Day of Atonement. It's a time of judgment. Anciently they blew trumpets 10 days before. Watch the markets Sept 15; a priest admitted that a collapse was expected but denied knowing a date. Sept 15 is the biblical time, says Dr. Richard Ruhling, author of The Alpha & Omega Bible Code who claims trouble is about to begin without a rapture, misunderstood from the wedding parables.

Ruhling says Elijah wasn't raptured until after he confronted false worship that the Bible links to the papacy as Jezebel. As likable as this pope is, Jezebel was married to Ahab, king of Israel in apostasy, even as our leaders in Washington forget the Constitution and seem eager for relationship with Rome.

Googling “Vatican, tons of gold,” 18 million results suggest the pope doesn't need our help for poor people. He actually owes it to them! Ruhling says a summer in Colombia and Venezuela in 1960 revealed half of those poor people couldn't read or write, yet Latin America was colonized centuries ago when the US was. South American countries are rich in resources that exceed our western states, so why are they so poor?

History gives us an unplanned social experiment. Latin America reveals the huge difference that one's beliefs about life can make. Priests dominated both church and state while the US was founded by Protestants who risked their lives to flee papal control for freedom in the New World. Whatever Latin America doesn't have in comparison to the US, they can thank the priests that oversaw everything. America's founding fathers gave us a Constitution that specified separation of church and state with no religion favored by the government.

Freedom cannot exist in Catholicism. It teaches that “no man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true.” The Syllabus of Errors, issued by Pope Pius IX, “condemns freedom of religion, conscience, speech, press, as it asserts the pope’s temporal authority over all civil rulers.” Rome downplays it; the Syllabus of Errors is part of the ordination vows for priests worldwide.3

Because America's Constitution has been anathema to Rome, Jesuits from the days of Lincoln have studied how to divide and conquer the US. Roman Catholic Chief Justice Tany said, “Negroes have no rights that the white man is bound to respect.” They favored slavery, and were behind the Ku Klux Klan. The pope was the only foreign entity to recognize Jefferson Davis as “Most Illustrious President” of the Confederate States.

Rome promoted Hitler and in the Axis Alliance they signed a concordat to support him in return for making the world Catholic when he won World War II. After losing, they are now using the United Nations to regain supremacy they lost in the Old World, aiming for a New World Order (Novus Ordo Seclorum on our $1 bill).

This is what's behind the pope's visit to coincide with the new UN initiative called ˜Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” that paints utopia, peace and prosperity as just around the corner. But the reality is far different. The key phrase in all those documents is ˜sustainable development.”

What does ˜sustainable development” mean? It means that all ˜the powers that be” from the Pope down, will now have an open license to interfere with all aspects of human life. What's sustainable and what's not, will be decided by the Pope and enforced by the UN, Congress and armies of faceless bureaucrats around the world.

The ˜fix” for what's unsustainable (use of fossil fuels, water, population growth and more) will be decided by the pope, It won't be about human rights or liberties; it will be about control with the papacy at the top.  Part of sustainability will focus on the need to change 24/7 to 24/6, to include a day of rest for the working man.

The pope's Laudato Si paints Sunday for “family values” and the economy to preserve “creation” but it turns  the signpost from the Sabbath as the Creator's memorial in the 4th Commandment to their memorial, Sunday. Pagan worship of the sun and the moon called Allah, is as ancient as the Bible's warnings against them. The apostles broke bread together daily, worshiping “every Sabbath.” The Bible doesn't support Sunday worship.

The Bible offers Elijah as a model. We should pray as Elijah did--not for God to bless America, but for His judgments to turn us to the true God of Scripture. Economic collapse starting September 14/15 would be a biblical answer to Elijah's prayer as in James 5.  Let's join him as the faithful in Israel who refused false worship. Sunday is a papal institution. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion".

Catholic Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld announced $2.3 Trillion missing from the Pentagon on CBS News the night before 9-11 when a hijacked jetliner did a 270 degree turn to hit the accounting department of the Pentagon. For an alt view, Google “missile, accounting dept, pentagon”. World Bank former counselor Karen Hudes' news interview revealed that tax dollars go by treaty to the UK and then to the Vatican Bank. She said it's not sustainable in her 'expose'. Ruhling believes millions have been deceived and encourages people to say. “no” to the Pope.

Dr Richard Ruhling's ebook, The Alpha & Omega Bible Code has mostly 5-star reviews on Amazon. Those who don't need a Kindle edition can get a pdf with a bonus at his website, http://TheBridegroomComes.com

Race Relations In America - New Book By Y Abrahaim Features Forbidden Interracial Relationship During The Montgomery Bus Boycott

Abrahaim creates inspirational literature that gives readers a new sense of awareness about the world around them

The struggle for racial equality dominates the headlines today, perhaps as much as it did in the days of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Sixty years later the struggle for equality continues; which unfortunately appears to be as distant as it was in the days of old. The lack of equality has compelled many to bring attention  to this plague and the effects it has had on this great country.

Whoopi Goldberg, Karlyn Bowman, and Barack Obama have come forward  edifying the need for change with race relations in America; illustrating  how the lack of equality breads lack of  appreciation of life which caused the massacre in North Carolina and the death of Emmitt Till  - two separate instances occurring 60 years apart.

Whoppi Goldberg has stepped out to develop a movie about Emmitt Louis Till. In 1955 Till was found in the Tallahatchie River, barbed wire tied around his neck. Till had been beaten to death and shot for flirting with a white woman. Whoopi Goldberg believes this story needs to be engraved in the minds of all Americans.

Karlyn Bowman graphically illustrated on the Forbes website the differences held by blacks and whites in the United States in today’s society. Bowman’s extensive study does show improvement however also displays areas where considerable work on race relations in America prove to be necessary.

On the USA Today website, in a piece about Obama's eulogy at Rev. Clementa Pinckney's funeral in Charleston SC, President Obama's message, in which he stated "We don't need more talk," Obama was praised for his exceptionally moving words about the issue of race in America.

"I wrote this book," Abrahaim stated, "to show how life can be depreciated through a travesty. How a life can no longer matter because of the hate caused by a travesty. Consider the definition of the word “travesty” which is “a false representation; distorted or debased version of something.” When you consider this fact you realize the cause behind race relations in America today being the result of a 'travesty'.”

This book depicts a “travesty” through the eyes of a young Klansman who discovers the travesty surrounding his life, and through this discovery, he realizes the love and meaning behind his life is just that . . . a travesty. This realization derives through the most unexpected individual; a young African American woman. Through the realization of this “travesty” a life is taken, and through that other lives are destroyed.

"Race relations in America will only improve when the perception about race relations in America improve through the eyes of the American people," Abrahaim concluded. "It saddens me to see unjustifiable murders of African Americans which clearly exhibit; African Americans hold the same status and are perceived in the same way as they were before and during the Civil Rights Movement. This illustrates the power behind a 'travesty; how it can very well outshine even visual evidence of accomplishments by the different races in this country; especially accomplishments between blacks and whites in this country."

Frances Fuller, Author Of Book About Lebanon, 'In Borrowed Houses', Issues Open Letter To Barack Obama About Middle East Refugees

Frances Fuller's award-winning memoir, 'In Borrowed Houses', gives readers a penetrating glimpse of the Middle East from the inside. She puts a face on the Middle East many Americans have not yet seen

Frances Fuller, award winning author of 'In Borrowed Houses', has issued an open letter to President Obama regarding the refugee crisis in the Middle East.

A recent article on The Washington Post website detailed Pope Francis' call to Europe's Catholics. He requested that every sanctuary, monastery, parish and community take in at least one refugee family. The Vatican will be taking in two families.

On their website, US News and World Report reported that France will welcome 24,000 refugees. In the same story it was reported that German Chancellor Angela Merkel said all European countries should work to accommodate refugees. What about the US? Frances Fuller's letter to President Obama asks two questions that are in the minds of many Americans.

"What’s the plan, Mr.President?  What is the USA going to do about that tidal wave of people from the Middle East looking for a place to be?"

"We owe the refugees a home, because we did a lot to create the chaos from which they are fleeing. We know it.  And now that our hearts are broken by images of dead children and weeping fathers and women lying down on railroad tracks in hopes of stopping a train, we have to do something kind and constructive or we will die of guilt and shame."

"We have empty bedrooms and full pantries, but we can’t offer them to Syrians or Iraqis unless they can get here and unless our immigration department will give them visas.  So send airplanes to get them.  Open the doors. Step up and speak up, like Pope Francis and Angela Merkel."

"We are sick of war, Mr. President.  Give us a plan for building the world.  Then get in front and see us follow."

Frances Fuller spent thirty years in the violent Middle East and for twenty-four of those years was the director of a Christian publishing program with offices in Lebanon. While leading the development of spiritual books in the Arabic language, she survived long years of civil war and invasions.

Author Donna Louis Releases New Christian Book, 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision, and Miracles of Purpose'

Donna Louis has experienced three miraculous events. As the result of her experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles

If we Google the phrase "miracles" we'll see thousands of articles about miracles and entire websites devoted to them. We'll see stories about miracles in respected publications such as The New York Times, Catholic Online, CNN and a host of others. We'll see the word "miracles" used in relation to healing, to sports victories and reference to miracles connected to everything from money to movies. But what is a miracle, really?

The dictionary tells us that a miracle is an event that contradicts known scientific law. Donna Louis, author of 'Miracles of Direction, Miracles of Conquest, Miracles of Provision, and Miracles of Purpose' delves into biblical miracles that took place while Jesus was here on earth and cross references with miracles that take place on a daily basis now - in the 21st century. She breaks these miracles down into four categories and presents example of each, taken directly from the Bible.

Donna Louis has personally experienced three miracles. As the result of her experiences, she began an in-depth study of some of Christianity's most well-documented miracles. In her book, she attempts to expand and explain both the purpose and the direction of those miracles.

"Miracles is a book for people who are looking for hope and purpose in their lives, and new believers who are ready and willing to accelerate their daily walk with Christ," Louis stated. "Miracles happen for those who believe and those who want to have hope that miracles do happen to prove that God exists."

'Miracles' has received rave reviews from readers. One review called it "amazing, uplifting and inspirational". Another stated, "I was profoundly impressed by the writing."

The Christian Roots Of US Government - Author Darwyn Hassert Releases New Christian Book, 'Patriotism From An America Pulpit'

Hassert's work clearly demonstrates that the Founding Fathers used the Bible as a political textbook to create the greatest country in the history of the world

In the eyes of Darwyn Hassert, a study of American history reveals that the Founding Fathers took the Bible as a political textbook and founded our Constitutional Republic. The result is that America became the greatest country in world history. The thirteen chapters in his latest Christian book, “Patriotism from an American Pulpit”, reveal some of the rich legacy that the Founding Fathers gave to us and are taken from patriotic sermons that the author preached as a pastor.

"The Colonial clergy were instrumental in laying the Biblical and intellectual basis for our War for Independence," Hassert stated.  “Today America desperately needs men in the pulpits of our churches to again preach sermons on civil liberty so all Americans can enjoy the blessings that come from civil and religious liberty."

"American pastors need to understand our history to help perpetuate our liberties and freedoms, so that we can continue to serve Christ without governmental hindrances. The Colonial pastors had a profound influence on our War for Independence, because they preached liberty and freedom from their pulpits. The chapters in this book are the modern day equivalent of the sermons of Colonial days."

"During my research, I discovered that our Founding Fathers took the Bible as a political textbook and used its principles to found the greatest country in the history of the world. This book will present irrefutable evidence that America was founded upon these Biblical principles that can be preached from the pulpits of America without reference to any political party or politician.”

As further proof, Hassert offers quotes from both historians and the Founding Fathers:

"It is relevant…to note the prominence of biblical sources for American political thought, since it was highly influential in our political tradition, and is not always given the attention it deserves." - (Lutz, 1980)

“The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.” - John Quincy Adams

“To the Pulpit, the PURITAN PULPIT, we owe the moral force which won our independence.” - John Wingate Thornton

“In those days politics were preached in the pulpits and men were led to action on the side of freedom by faithful pastors.” - Benjamin Lossing

“[T]he religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and his apostles….and to this we owe our free constitutions of government.” - Noah Webster

"The reason for this book," Hassert concluded, "is that many Americans, and especially Christians, know so little of our history. They do not know why we are a Constitutional Republic and how we came into existence as a nation. I believe this book will help many Americans understand what it means to be called an American.”
