Immigration, The Caravan And The Midterm Aftermath - Nothing New Under The Sun Says Joseph Ganci, Author Of Epic Biblical Novel Featuring Old Testament Revelations, 'Gideon: The Sound And The Glory'

In 'Gideon, The Sound, and the Glory,' Ganci combines Old Testament revelations with modern day revelations, action, and adventure to provide audiences with a unique, emotionally charged experience.

Immigration has dominated our headlines for many months now. While we like to think this is a modern-day issue, immigration - the journey to the promised land and a better life - have been with us for many centuries. These human sagas, replete with all the political drama that surrounds such issues, have been playing out since Biblical times.

While immigration and the accompanying political melodramatic plotlines may not first come to mind when considering stories from the Old Testament, author Joseph Ganci has managed to turn the little-known account of Gideon into a Bible-based novel that reads like a modern-day major motion picture based on current events. He shows us that Biblical stories can be more than just dusty history - they can be keenly entertaining. He brings the Bible to life and rekindles the fires of ancient passions. He offers practical application of revelatory insights of faith, visions, and spiritual determination for modern-day living. He does it all in ways that will entertain, motivate and enlighten. Consider the following:

"The people of Israel were now on the outskirts of Canaan, just beyond the River Jordan in the plains of Moab. They were within sight of the Promised Land, approaching the border of the land God promised to Abraham and his descendants. To assert their spiritual legacy would not be an easy undertaking. They would have to proceed by faith and rely solely on the strong hand and outstretched arm of God. The land of milk and honey was peopled by mixed and hostile populations who were violently opposed to yielding a cubit of ancestral lands—they would not go without a struggle. Canaan controlled the fertile valleys and the coastline with its unfriendly strongholds of walled cities. The high valleys were the domain of the Amorites. The Hivites, (Neo) Hittites, Jebusites, and Perizzites peopled the villages, towns, and hamlets of the central lowlands. This was Israel’s time of conquest and settlement, often by force of arms. Occasionally, an attempt was made to infiltrate peaceably.

"The Midianite kings were the sworn enemies of Israel and had been ever since their first encounter at the Battle of Mount Tabor. They witnessed firsthand the ever-growing might of the wandering vagabonds who had escaped Egyptian rule. Israel was, after all, an uninvited and unwelcome visitor who, by force or by stealth, insisted on making a place for themselves. Now they had become an ever-increasing problem on the ancestral lands of the Midianites, Amalekites, Canaanites, and all the children of the East. The land of their birthright from the beginning of time was being stolen by the fertile increase and unstoppable multiplication from the slave children called 'Israel.'”

Ganci takes a ground-breaking and revelatory path in his quest to bring the awe-inspiring story of Gideon to life and ultimately to film. He believes that connecting facts are far more enchanting than loosely fitting fantasies. He works within a framework of an engaging and dramatized fiction that, while exceedingly rich in detail, remains faithful to uphold spiritual principles. He bases his work on three primary pillars:

* The rock-solid cornerstone is historical biblical geography.

* The creative arch is revelatory in its timing and issues.

* The research is concrete, firmly rooted in customs, languages, and traditions.

Gideon coverGanci fills in the blanks with rock-solid research and prophetic revelations. It is a style that has allowed him to create breakthrough approaches that are exciting and breathtaking while remaining within the limits of believable biblical teachings.

Mysteries long hidden in ancient shadows now leap to life blazing unto the pages of revelation. Details that link passages, peoples, and places are the most exciting part of the storytelling process. Details give possibilities a firm foundation as bones give form and strength to living flesh. Details long since lost or misunderstood, now ring true, giving texture, and breath, to long-forgotten gems of perception resurrected from ruins, dust, and ashes.

Readers of 'Gideon The Sound and the Glory' will learn about the Jewish Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, the mysterious Golden Ephod, how, and why, David found himself at his battle with Goliath, and much, much more. This work illuminates the dark corners of scripture while engaging readers in a gripping narrative.

Joseph Ganci was recently chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' in the 2017 Book Awards. 'Gideon: The Sound and the Glory' has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers alike. A recent reviewer stated, "Joseph Gauci’s prose is arresting, peppered with fantastic imagery and succinct descriptions of plot, characters, and setting. The themes are masterfully created, and they are woven into the story in a way that allows the reader to enjoy both the inspiration the story offers and the accompanying action. Gideon: The Sound and the Glory will appeal to fans of political thrillers, adventure, and conflict-driven stories laced with intense action." Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe Announces New Angel Story, New Book About Bullying, 'Town Of Angels'

Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.

Award Winning author Jody Sharpe has announced a new angel story for 'Tuesdays With The Angels'. She has also announced the upcoming release of her new book about bullying and angels entitled 'Town Of Angels'.

Bullying has moved to the forefront of our collective consciousness. Nearly everyone has an opinion about how to craft a workable solution to the problem. A very unique take on dealing with bullying is the subject of Sharpe's upcoming book, 'Town Of Angels', the third book in the Mystic Bay series by award winning author Jody Sharpe.

It is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…

" Standing tall with an armor of kindness always unravels the fearful bully," Sharpe stated.

The new book is slated for release in 2019.

Sharpe presents stories and interviews about angels in her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog series. She presents quotes about angels drawn from several of her books and fascinating angel stories from herself and others who submit stories for publication. She recently presented a new story about a man who met a male angel sitting on the bed of his wife, who was soon to pass away. The full story is available at her site.

Jody is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion on her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.

Jody Sharpe knows angels exist. Her first book, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, was written in memory of her daughter Kate. Her second book, 'To Catch An Angel', was written in memory of her husband Steve.

Over a decade ago, when her daughter died tragically Sharpe faced down the most difficult challenge of her life. She was determined not to just merely survive, but to live; to honor the life of her beloved daughter, her twins, her husband and the rest of the rich life she had created before the tragedy. Blessed with an inherently positive outlook these trying times were strengthened by influences from the late Norman Vincent Peale to the children's book character, Wilbur the pig. For Sharpe, ministers of spirit and guidance took the form of angels. Sharpe's openness to change led her to write her first novel, 'The Angel's Daughter'. The story that takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, California and encompasses all Sharpe's attitudes about goodness, healing and moving on.

Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.

Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.

Sharpe's books have received a large number of rave reviews. A recent Amazon review stated, "This book would make a beautiful Christmas Hallmark movie. You will be left believing in Angels here on earth." Another said, "This a wonderful story that reminds us of the kindness and gentleness that exists in this world." Another stated, "Amazing. Most of all it is a feel good book and a must read.”

Jody Sharpe is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at sharpejody76@gmail.com. Angel stories can be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. All of her books are available at online book retailers. New quotes will be added every Tuesday to the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her blog, which can be found at her website at http://www.JodySharpe.com.

Body Shaming, Social Media, Bullying And The Drive To Be Best - How Selfies Are Transformed Into Therapy For Young People

Dr. Holstein, a psychologist/filmmaker and originator of a unique Selfie Film concept, writes award-winning books, plays and produces short films that offer solutions to problems that impact today's teens and tweens

Selfies and social media have become firmly embedded into the very core of the lives of young people. This revolutionary form of digital communication has become so popular that some established filmmakers are creating films shot entirely on cell phones. While many of us may see this as merely a modern style of communication or a cutting edge form of entertainment, Positive Psychologist Barbara Becker Holstein uses the concept in a way that has never before been done and possibly cannot be duplicated.

Selfies as therapy.

Traditional media is paying attention to these trends, as evidenced by recent articles in the New York Times, such as 'This is 18' and 'Writing in a Journal Can Help'. Holstein takes things to a whole new level however by utilizing this form of communication to present critical information and profound concepts that can transform the lives of young people.

"As a psychologist, I know the purging or ranting of thoughts and feelings, whether speaking to a friend, talking to a therapist, talking to yourself in the car, writing a letter to a deceased relative or keeping a diary, are usually beneficial," Dr. Holstein stated. "It helps us to get rid of excess emotions and worries that interrupt living."

"The question is: how do we do this in ways that fit our current society? Certainly shooting others because of feelings of rage is not a solution. On the other end of the spectrum, keeping a journal can help. But let's not forget what sits in most of our pockets in today's world - the smart phone. What can we do with it? Play games, read the news, chat, watch films, buy a new pair of shoes or a refrigerator. And we can make a Selfie. Believe it or not, there is a lot of power in that."

"What is 'The Selfie Project'? It is encouraging kids, tweens and teens to express themselves with Selfies, whether to vent and share feeling and concerns about their lives, our culture, etc,. or to make art in the form of filmmaking. I see Selfies as a form of therapy as well as a form of art with real merit."

"In my project kids are encouraged to talk via a Selfie about a topic on their minds. They come together with me and other experts on my Podcast show, 'The Enchanted Self presents the Selfie Project'. We discuss, share, come up with ideas, etc. Thus Selfies become one more means of creating a therapeutic environment."

"I also make Selfie films that star kids, tweens and teens. A Selfie film has at least one actor filming her own scenes, which is then merged with other scenes done with a standard crew or smart phones. The intensity of a teen filming herself is amazing. This type of drama can be utilized for pure art or as a means of helping parents, teachers and the rest of the world understand what kids are going through."

"As for filmmaking itself, Selfies and smart phones together are changing the industry. Smart phones can allow anyone to make a successful film. My latest Podcast show, ‘ESP Presents Creating Great Films with Smart Phones, included Robert Fitzhugh, founder of the Dublin Smart Phone Film Festival, via Skype; Hiram Ortiz, teacher at Pineland Schools, Co-Director of Hang On To Your Shorts Film Festival in Asbury Park; aAntonio DeLeon, high school student from Massachusetts who made a Selfie about School Drama and also joined us via Skype. The discussion covered #Selfiesasdrama, #Selfiesasfilm, #Smartphonesasfilm, #Selfiesastherapy and #SelfieFilmmakers."

"All of the above are important as we as a society constantly need to explore how we can use technology for positive purposes. Finding ways to use what we all carry in our pockets to teach, encourage, express our needs, thoughts and feelings, have fun, create film as an art from and as an educational tool, and to improve mental health, all of the above is what is on my mind as a psychologist/filmmaker! I invite everyone to join me on this creative, exciting adventure."

Dr. Holstein is currently developing "The Selfie Project" to help kids share their feelings and thoughts in a meaningful way via Selfies that can reach millions. "The Selfie Project" provides a way for young people to go public on a number of subjects. Bullying is real, school violence is real, drama because of social media is real for kids. 'The Selfie Project' is giving voice to those subjects. A pilot TV show is in the development phase. Teens will have a chance to discuss via their Selfies and in discussion with Dr. Holstein, various topics that affect their lives, from friend drama to fear of assault weapons. As of this moment, teens can share a link to their Selfies and Dr. Holstein will consider them for inclusion on her website, SelfieFilmmakers.com.

Holstein's short films have won numerous awards and accolades.

Children's book author Viki Doyle Heagy has announced the upcoming release of a new book for kids about adoption entitled 'Lucy Ladybug Becomes a Big Sister'. The release will occur in November 2018 during National Adoption Month.

In the storyline of the new book, Lucy Ladybug is excited. Her parents are adopting. Her new brothers and sisters come from Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. Ladybug host a luau to welcome them to the forest. The new ladybug kids have shells that are a pretty purple. Their adoptive family have red shells. This blended family knows that all that matters is love.

"Parents and children will enjoy reading about how adopted kids are chosen to complete a family," Heagy stated. "Love and acceptance are key issues in this story. All colors are beautiful."

Viki believes reading to children is the best gift you can give them. It opens up a new world of adventure and knowledge. Stories should be fun and teach a lesson. A favorite quote of Viki’s is attributed to Albert Einstein. He said “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”

Heagy was inspired to write children's book as her grandchildren love story time and look forward to the quality time spent with their “Kiki”. When they started pre-school, Viki realized that her granddaughters had concerns about a number of issues. In response she has produced three kids books to date:

Izzie The Inchworm's First Day of School
This book, for preschoolers up to age 8, features Izzie and her friends Barney Beetle, Flora Firefly, Lucy Ladybug and Sam and Stan the Spider twins.

Izzie and her friends provide important lessons on shyness, friendship and character building. This book also provides an opening for a discussion on bullying.

Barney's Clubhouse Adventure
Barney’s Clubhouse Adventure is an entertaining story about teamwork. It picks up the story line from the first book, Izzie the Inchworm’s First Day of School. Barney, Izzie and their friends decide to meet and work on the project. They all have different ideas on how to build the clubhouse. They begin working individually. Disagreements occur. After some discussion, they finally decide on a design.

Barney and his friends learn how to communicate and work together. They realize that by working together as a team, they can accomplish a lot. Everyone uses their talent to help build a fun place to play and hangout. They learn that Together Everyone Achieves More.

Paddy the Wee Leprechaun
An enchanting and entertaining story following the disappearance of Paddy the Wee Leprechaun. Paddy is adventurous which tends to get him into trouble. One day he is late for dinner. His mother becomes extremely worried and calls upon the leprechauns and fairies in the glen to help search for him. Will Paddy be found?

This exciting tale will have readers guessing where Paddy is while presenting a lesson, teaching children not to stray too far away from home.

Schools, clubs and organizations can contact Viki for special pricing on large quantities.

Political Leadership, the Midterms, And Donald Trump - Lessons In Self-Serving, Versus Self-Sacrifice Exposed In Epic Novel Based On Old Testament Revelations, 'Gideon, The Sound And The Glory'

In 'Gideon, The Sound, and the Glory,' Ganci combines Old Testament revelations with modern day revelations, action, and adventure to provide audiences with a unique, emotionally charged experience.

Leadership can mean different things, to different people. In the political realm, leadership could be defined as serving the needs of the people. In the US, this would be further defined as serving the needs of most of the people, most of the time. There is no democracy when political leadership is defined as serving personal needs, whims, and wants. While we might bicker, complain or protest the ideas and actions of those of opposing views or parties, we collectively abhor those who use power to serve only their own hidden agendas.

Three major hurricanes have hit the US, one of which hit Puerto Rico. The Russians and now China are attempting to influence the US elections. We have but a few years before crossing a fatal line about climate change. North Korea and other countries threaten nuclear disaster. The intelligence services of the US have been accused of any number of covert actions against their own government. White supremacist groups, after Charlottesville, act more empowered. And now the murder of a journalist in Saudi Arabia. Our immigration policy is viewed as barbarians at the gate and our frayed Constitution hangs by a thread.

What would an effective leader do when faced with such overwhelming challenges? Would that leader take decisive action to serve the needs of the majority? Or would that leader attempt to spin everything in such a way as to convince the people that there is an alternate truth and that their very eyes deceive them.

"The natural man is concerned with appearances and worldly acclaim," Ganci stated. "He is a conceited creature whose only security is the accumulation of wealth and power. Ridicule is his greatest fear, for it is a grievous wound in the unveiling of his delicate self-centered ego, and the destructive self will run riot with power, prestige, and unearned glory."

"Gideon, a lightly considered cutter of trees, was blessed by an angel to be the savior of all Israel. Gideon responded, 'How can I save all of Israel? My family is poor, we have lost our inheritance to tribal lands, and I am the least regarded in my father's house.' Gideon never uttered a falsehood and was true to his word. When he was asked to do the impossible he doubled his efforts with faith, service, self-sacrifice, and courage, all for the greater good of God and mankind. After his miraculous victory over impossible odds, he declined kingship for himself, his son’s and his grandsons with the words 'God is king, and Him only will I serve."

"Gideon’s love child, Abimelech, beheads his seventy brothers that represented a congress of judges and so attained the dual crowns of both Cannan and Israel. He uses lies, deceit, fierce manipulation, and all the force at his disposal to maintain his authority. In the end, Abimelech’s head is crushed. Think of it like being indicted, arrested, impeached, and dismissed in disgrace. Then, and only then, will the people's eyes be opened to the truth of all things?"

These types of gripping human dramas have been playing out since Biblical times. While political dramas and action/adventure themes may not be our first thought when considering stories from the Old Testament, author Joseph Ganci has managed to turn the little-known account of Gideon into a Bible-based novel that reads like a modern-day major motion picture.

The book explores powerful spiritual and political themes, capturing the conflicts and the dynamics of life within the community of God's chosen people. Gideon: The Sound and the Glory will appeal to fans of political thrillers, adventure, and conflict-driven stories laced with intense action." Other reviewers have used phrases such as "riveting," "amazing" "deftly crafted" and "highly recommended."

Ganci has also announced he will make his book available as a fundraising tool for like-minded associations and charities. Donors can receive an eBook version of 'Gideon' in exchange for a donation to a worthy cause. For more details, contact Joseph via email.

Donna Fletcher Crow, Award Winning Novelist of British History, Announces Release Of 'A Lethal Spectre', Latest In The Lord Danvers Investigates Series

Crow writes meticulously researched, entertaining novels of romance, history and mystery in an engaging you-are-there style that allows readers to live the history.

Multi-award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced the release of the fifth book in the Lord Danvers Victorian true-crime series, A Lethal Spectre. The series contrasts the elegance of Victorian aristocracy set against the dark underworld of drug addiction.

In A Lethal Spectre, Lord and Lady Danvers are swept up in the glittering swirl of a London season as they present the Dowager Duchess of Aethelbert's ward to society. In India Lady Danver's closest girlhood friend is caught in the most brutal massacre 'in the book of time'. What could these disparate events have to do with murders in London and Brighton? This engrossing story comes to life with all the vivid historical detail readers expect from Donna Fletcher Crow.

To celebrate the release of A Lethal Spectre Crow is giving away copies of book four in the series, A Tincture of Murder. No-charge downloads of the book are available at her website.

"I am passionate about recounting events of history because I’m really writing about today," Crow said. "I am continually fascinated to see how events in today’s headlines have their roots in the past. In A Lethal Spectre I found London’s opium dens and the East India Company’s opium trade reflecting today’s tragic opioid epidemic.

"I also love working with contrasts. In A Lethal Spectre I was captured by the stark contrast of the elegance of London society and the horrors of the Indian mutiny. One of the greatest challenges of telling this story was tracking society events and mutiny events in a day-to-day parallel. I was able to do this through an invaluable archive of British newspapers."

The Lord Danvers series is an Amazon bestseller in the British Detectives category. Other books in the series include A Most Inconvenient Death, Grave Matters, To Dust You Shall Return and A Tincture of Murder.

Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 45 books, mostly novels of British history. The award-winning Glastonbury, an Arthurian grail search epic covering 15 centuries of English history, is her best-known work.

The Monastery Murders are contemporary clerical mysteries with clues hidden in medieval history. Titles are: A Very Private Grave, A Darkly Hidden Truth, An Unholy Communion, A Newly Crimsoned Reliquary, and An All-Consuming Fire.

The Elizabeth & Richard Mysteries is a literary suspense series using literary figures as background: Rudyard Kipling in The Flame Ignites, Dorothy L Sayers in The Shadow of Reality, Shakespeare in A Midsummer Eve's Nightmare, and Jane Austen in both A Jane Austen Encounter and A Most Singular Venture.

The Daughters of Courage, Kathryn, Elizabeth and Stephanie is a pioneer family saga based on the stories of Crow's own family and other Idaho pioneers in the Kuna, Nampa and Boise area.

Readers and reviewers alike have raved about Crow's work, all based on her trademark meticulous research. Liz Curtis Higgs, New York Times best-selling author said, "Crow's ability to put the reader into history is remarkable." Christine Lindsay, author of the multi-award-winning trilogy Twilight of the British Raj stated, "As somewhat of an expert on Colonial British India, A Lethal Spectre swept me away with mystery set in beautifully detailed Victorian England and in India, showcasing an integral piece of history that greatly affected Great Britain. A must read for all Anglophiles and cozy mystery lovers."

Donna Fletcher Crow's work has received a number of high-level industry honors. These include:

The Banks of the Boyne, Silver Angel; First Place Historical Fiction, National Federation Press Women
The Fields of Bannockburn, First Place Historical Fiction, National Federation Press Women
Professional Achievement Award, Homecoming, Northwest Nazarene College

Puppetry Expert Margaret Arney Announces Release Of New Book About Puppetry, 'Glove Puppetry'

Margaret Arney is a puppetry specialist who has designed a simple 3 in 1 puppetry theatre and is writing manuals to help children/adults do wonderful puppet performances that will amaze themselves and their audience.

Puppetry expert Margaret Arney has announced the release of a new book about puppetry, 'Glove Puppetry'. The new manual is a simple, very well illustrated step by step program that will enable groups to make and perform a full puppet performance. It has been tested in the classroom situation for accuracy, sufficiency, understanding and whether it is really clear and complete enough for the user to achieve the end result – a top performance.

Arney's mission is to provide puppetry programs to enable busy teachers/group leaders to use puppetry to develop skills, creativity, imagination, confidence and team spirit in a fun environment. These beneficial developments naturally flow on into their everyday lives.

"Puppetry performances teach children how to speak clearly and act confidently, use their imagination and initiative, complete tasks and develop good team work," Arney stated. "It inspires ordinary people to do extraordinary things."

Arney has designed a simple three in one aluminum Qubelok theatre (available in Australia and similar systems are available in other countries) – two different heights of proscenium for hand held puppets, including shadow puppets, and a marionette proscenium. She is producing simple illustrated manuals on making the theatre, puppets and scenery with a few story scripts to learn on and perform.

She is currently writing a Marionette Puppetry manual which has been tested in a school to see that it is user friendly and complete. In addition, she is also writing an Introductory Manual to help teachers start simple puppetry plays with younger children and over a few years develop their basic puppetry skills so they can move easily onto doing gloves and marionettes.

'Glove Puppetry' has been well received by educators. Teacher Sue Dupont stated, "The benefits of puppetry are innumerable for the builder; the puppeteer and the audience. Once puppetry has been started at your school/group, you won't be able to stop, because every other class will be waiting to have a go. This manual is easy to follow and I can recommend it highly."

Margaret Arney is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at silky1903@gmail.com. All of Arney's books are available at online retailers in print and ebook formats. More information is available at her website at http://www.puppetrytheatre.com.

About Margaret Arney:

Margaret started doing puppetry in 1964 with her primary school class aged 10 years. She found it so rewarding to all concerned she is still doing it today. She has also built three transportable theatres with her sons and husband.

Her real love is teaching children or adults how to do puppetry and seeing how incredibly far they want to go with it. She used the theatres to do this along with the aluminum Qubelok one she has designed.

Steve Snyder has gone to the extreme to capture the details that make 'Shot Down' a one-of-a-kind dramatic presentation, told by a writer who was in the very middle of the story as it happened.

Reviewers have praised 'Shot Down'. Publishers Weekly stated, "This is a great introduction to the history of the U.S. air war in Europe, humanized by the experience of a single bomber crew." The European Center of Military History said, "Steve Snyder has reached a level of scholarship few amateur historians achieve." Foreword Reviews called it a "masterful book." Midwest Book Review called it "An inherently fascinating and deftly written account."

New Podcast: Shock Your Potential
Rocky covered a lot of ground in this in-depth podcast, including some advice from his father and an idea that helped him develop confidence – believe in your people until they are ready to believe in themselves. When you have a deep-seeded belief in your team, you will help create a culture that will allow your organization to not merely survive, but to thrive.

He also discussed the importance of not stopping at the first right answer. How do we challenge people to push past the first right answer? The legendary Joe Scafone plays an important role in helping us understand why this is so important. Who is Joe Scafone? The answer is revealed in this podcast.

New Podcast: Reid Method Insider Podcast
Rocky joined Everold Reid to discuss “Why Values Matter in Life and Business.” Most important among the topics they discussed are the three questions we need to ask – both as a business professional and as individual:

Who are we?
What do we stand for?
What are the things we won't compromise?

The three takeaways from this podcast include:

Value those on your team who work tirelessly to create “aha” moments for your brand.

Effective leaders create a culture of excellence that manifests itself in the daily actions of their associates and ultimately defines your brand. They are your “value added.”

The quality of the relationship is directly proportional to your efforts. When you feel like a valued individual you are more likely to put in the time and effort to build these relationships.

Both podcasts are now available at the 3SIXTY website at http://www.3sixtymanagementservices.com.

Romanella is also the author of a highly praised business leadership book, 'Tighten the Lug Nuts: The Principles of Balanced Leadership'. In this 5-star rated book, he uses his Executive Business Leadership experiences to explore the ways a true leader can add value as a trusted advisor, mentor, and visionary who uses a process approach to lead the organization and its people to new levels of success.

Body Shaming, Social Media, Bullying And The Drive To Be Best - Kavenaugh Hearing Reveals What Teens Deal With Every Day Says Award Winning Selfie Filmmaker Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein

Dr. Holstein, a psychologist/filmmaker and originator of a unique Selfie Film concept, writes award-winning books, plays and produces short films that offer solutions to problems that impact today's teens and tweens

The Kavanaugh hearings will make history for many reasons. Never have we been exposed to such levels of detail - a he said/she said situation played out and immortalized in national media. Teens drinking at a party, unwanted advances and conflicting versions of events as presented by Kavanaugh and Ford are not normally the type of events that make news. Yet these kind of issues lie at the very heart of the core message Barbara Becker Holstein, Positive Psychologist and multi-award winning selfie filmmaker, presents to her audiences via her multi-award winning selfie films. In her films she gives young people a voice and allows the rest of us to see what kind of effects these situations have on our children and grandchildren. Through her cutting edge, award-winning selfie films, bridges are built and the generational gap is narrowed. Holstein's films shine a bright light on subjects many of us have preferred to keep in the dark.

"The country has been transfixed with the tumult going on in the Senate over the next Supreme Court Justice," Holstein stated. "Some are concerned over Judge Kavanaugh's qualifications. Others worry about his possible political biases. And many of us wonder - how much did he drink in college and did he really hold his hand over Dr. Ford's mouth while lying on top of her? There are so many of women, just beginning to come out of hiding with their #Metoo stories, deeply concerned that women are still trivialized after being treating inappropriately by males. Conversely, many men are concerned that no man can be safe anymore. Drinking at a party, 35 years ago, maybe even doing some inappropriate stuff, does it really matter?

"As a psychologist I don't pretend to be able to decide if Judge Kavanaugh should be appointed to the Supreme Court. However, I can say that our country has become divided on many issues. One of those issues is blatantly evident in the hearings - the issue of how should we view the earlier, potentially dangerous behavior of someone who may undertake a position of great importance to our country. Many people see the antics of teens as merely antics that are outgrown. But many others worry and for good reason. We have a serious alcohol and drug problem in our society. Many teens have sexual experiences that are damaging. Rape and unwanted pregnancy are serious consequences, but any sexual experience that is not consensual can lead to problems. So too can a drug experience or being drunk. All of these 'routine' coming of age events are far from routine.

"Kavanaugh and Ford have given us a golden opportunity to think about what our kids, tweens and teens are exposed to in our culture. How can we make it better for the current and next generations?

"That is the essence of my work as a psychologist and as a filmmaker. In my film 'Conflict', which is one of my latest coming of age Selfie films, the girl is exposed to drinking and drugs when she is far from ready. At the end of the film, the girl throws it back onto the audience to help her. What would you do as her parent? Her teacher? Her grandparent? Her friend?

"In the future, more and more films will utilize smart phones and selfie filmmaking. My films are on the cutting edge in that the actress, in this case Megan Brown, films all of her scenes with her smart phone. She, like millions out there, is taking Selfies all the time. They have become our diaries, our record of our lives, our source of humor, our portfolio of adorable pets, our easy ways to capture both the drama and nonsense of life. I think actors filming their own parts in films with smart phones will be done more and more in the future. I'm interested in giving real people a chance to share with the rest of the world what they film with their smart phones."

Dr. Holstein's award winning selfie film 'Conflict', http://www.selfiefilmmakers.com/conflict/, deals specifically with this subject.

Dr. Holstein is currently developing "The Selfie Project" to help kids share their feelings and thoughts in a meaningful way via Selfies that can reach millions. "The Selfie Project" provides a way for young people to go public on a number of subjects. Bullying is real, school violence is real, drama because of social media is real for kids.'The Selfie Project' is giving voice to those subjects.
