Author Renee Pawlish Announces Release Of New Mystery Novel, ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’

Critically acclaimed author Renee Pawlish is the creator of the Reed Ferguson series of mystery novels. ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’ is the latest book in the mystery series featuring Reed Ferguson

Author Renee Pawlish has announced the release of ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’, the latest book in the mystery series featuring Reed Ferguson. A master wordsmith who crosses genres with ease, Pawlish paints mystery, suspense and drama upon a ‘film noir’ canvas.

“Readers will appreciate this book's infusing of film noir and Hollywood lore,” stated Ms. Pawlish, “with a gritty mystery tale set in present-day Denver. The line 'I want you to find my dead husband' rolled around in my head until I finally had to write a mystery novel using this first line.”

The best mystery novels are always based on true-to-life characters and interesting plot lines. The plot of ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’ includes a mysterious death, a brother searching for the truth, a devious ex-wife, more danger than a film noir plot and, as one might expect, a dose of real estate shenanigans.

“I fell in love with the idea of a rich, wannabe private eye,” continued Ms. Pawlish, “who loves film noir and detective fiction. Reed Ferguson became that detective and I'm continuing his adventures in ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’. I have to say I've fallen in love with Reed Ferguson, too, and a third book is on the way.”

An Amazon reviewer stated, “If you like mystery, suspense, drama and are looking for a book you can't put down on a rainy day, this is the one you've been waiting for.”

Renee Pawlish is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at renee@reneepawlish.com. The paperback version of ‘Reel Estate Rip-Off’ is available at Amazon. The ebook version is available at Amazon. More information is available at her website.

'Through the Eyes of Innocence', cover-image exclusively photographed by upcoming, creative photographer, Miss Carson Doan, is a collection of imaginative short stories for children as well the young at heart who still wish to touch the child dwelling inside each of us. There is nothing more innocent than a child and the way they look at the world with a curious mind filled to the brim with exciting adventure, whimsical imagination, and endless wonder. A child truly does look at the world in their own way, and within a special time that is all their own. This unique collection contains intricately woven tales stemming from Ms. Blackwood's imagination, as well based in part on her own childhood growing up in the 1950s on her paternal grandfather's farm in rural Ontario, Canada.

"I think it's both soothing and healthy to remember one's childhood, the countless memories they provide, the fun, the escapades and wonder they continue to lend," says Rusty. "Often times our childhood helps to shape who we become as adults -- even how we perceive the world around us. Children are truly amazing, their imagination filled with wonderment untold. They may look at the world through innocent eyes, but the knowledge found within their soul is nothing short of exceptional, and never ceases to prove the well used phrase, out of the mouths of babes ; I feel that adage should also include the mind, as well.

Rusty Blackwood has written an eclectic array of Contemporary and Traditional poetry, publishing her first collection in October of 2009 entitled, ‘Feelings: A Rhythmic Journey in Thought’. This was followed in April of 2010 by a collection of assorted short stories for children as well the young at heart entitled, ‘Young Minds’.

Author Karl Vanghen Chosen As One Of ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’

Author Karl Vanghen was chosen as one of ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’. The award came as the result of his recent appearance on The Authors Show. His latest historical fiction release, ‘My Enemy, My Beloved,’ explores the life of a young German POW during WW2 who lands in the US Midwest at the height of hatred and discrimination only to find hope and the meaning of love

Karl Vanghen, author of ‘My Enemy, My Beloved’, has been named one of ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’. His honors came as a result of his appearance on The Authors Show. Vanghen was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process. ‘My Enemy, My Beloved’ is an historical fiction novel that explores the life of a German POW held on American soil.

“I wrote this book,” stated Mr. Vanghen, “to reveal the life and times of German POW’s and citizens swept up in World War Two. As a native Minnesotan, I, like many others, was totally ignorant of the fact that enemy POW’s had been brought to this country. By researching the past, and through interviews with actual German POW’s, I was driven to write this novel because those fascinating times needed to be brought to life.”

Mr Vanghen became interested in the subject of German POW’s when he visited a WWII museum, and learned that Minnesota housed over 6,000 German POW in 1945, living in camps across the state. In ‘My Enemy, My Beloved, the hero of the story lands in the U.S. Midwest at the height of Nazi hatred and discrimination, only to find love and the meaning of hope in New Ulm, Minnesota. The story is captivating and the history is engrossing.

A recent reviewer stated, “Karl Vanghen's ability to create suspense is incredible. I was pulled along from beginning to end, always waiting for what was to come next. He never disappointed me, and it's been a long time since a work of fiction has absorbed me so completely. I knew nothing of the history of German POWs here, and his attention to historical detail was amazing. In truth, I was astonished by the power of the story. Thanks for the many hours of most pleasurable reading.”

Karl Vanghen is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at kvan79@comcast.net. More information is available at his website. ‘My Enemy, My Beloved’ is available at Amazon.com and at his website.

Profile

Karl Vanghen was born in 1929 at the beginning of the Great Depression. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Wisconsin during the Korean War. After his discharge, he spent years building a career in graphic arts, and eventually became the company vice president. Before his retirement, he became an award-winning wildlife artist and published author. Karl and his wife live in Shoreview, Minnesota, where he has started his third novel, also a historical fiction based in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Marcia Fine, Author Of ‘Stressed In Scottsdale’, Named As One Of ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’

Fine was picked from a field of hundreds of authors who appeared on The Authors Show. Her book, entitled ‘Stressed In Scottsdale’, expands her satirical series about Jean Rubin into the arena of politics and the environment

Marcia Fine, author of ‘Stressed In Scottsdale’, has been named one of ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’. Her honors came as a result of her appearance on The Authors Show TV. Fine was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process. ‘Stressed In Scottsdale’ was a First Prize Winner in the Satire/Humor Category by The Arizona Publishers Association's 2010 Arizona Book Awards and took 2nd Place (Silver) for Women's Fiction at the 2010 Living Now Book Awards.

“Being included in ‘50 Great Writers’ is an honor,” stated Ms. Fine, “as I'm passionate about self-expression and the ability to be creative. Family history has so many clues as to who we are--kernels that have been passed down through the generations. I'm also acutely aware of the absurdities in life--those moments of ‘I can't believe this is happening.’ Something compels me to write it down.”

Spending her formative years in South Florida, the only child of New York expatriates with a penchant for the Bohemian lifestyle, Marcia’s best friend was a good book. During the Eighties, as a wife and mother, she opened a model and talent center, the Southwest’s largest. As an agent, the newly minted entrepreneur marketed and managed over three hundred people. After ten years Marcia sold her self-created circus to become a corporate trainer and motivational speaker for an international jewelry company.

In 2000 Marcia began to pursue her dream of writing. Having written two satires about the upscale Scottsdale crowd, she then took a different direction and completed two more books. The third, ‘Paper Children’, is a family saga based on her grandmother’s letters from her family in Poland before and after World War Two. The fourth novel, ‘The Blind Eye’, is a sweeping historical novel set in the 15th and 20th centuries. It is, at times, a heart-wrenching story dealing with the survival of the Sephardic Jews during the Spanish Inquisition. Both ‘Paper Children’ and ‘The Blind Eye’ required extensive research and travel to Poland, Spain and Portugal.

Fine's fifth novel, ‘Stressed in Scottsdale’, expands her satirical series about Jean Rubin into the arena of politics and the environment. With her unique eye she pokes fun at the denizens of an upscale community while tackling serious issues of corruption and air quality issues.

Regarding ‘Stressed In Scottsdale, a reviewer stated, “Delightfully funny and absurd, ‘Stressed in Scottsdale' is a smart, witty story, unlike anything you've recently read. Few topics are safe from Marcia Fine's satire as she takes aim at societal issues of relationships, fertility, politics and the environment, showing how carried away people get and how absurd things can become. In the midst of all the wackiness, Marcia Fine does a terrific job of reminding us that, although their are things in life we need to take care of, most of them aren't important enough to cause us to lose our minds.”

Marcia Fine is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at marciafine@aol.com. More information is available at her website. ‘Stressed In Scottsdale’ is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and at the website. Paperback and ebook versions are available.

Author MJ Domet Releases ‘Waves Of Blue Light’, Spiritual Essence In Prose, Pictures And Poetry

MJ Domet’s new book, ‘Waves Of Blue Light: Heal The Heart And Free The Soul’ reflects the inner journey of the author, whose experiences have led her to share the concepts of spiritual enlightenment with readers

Author MJ Domet has released ‘Waves Of Blue Light: Heal The Heart And Free The Soul’. In this book she shares prose, pictures and poetry that reflect her own journey to enlightenment. Domet believes that recurring physical, spiritual and emotional issues all have something in common . . . we are not where we want to be. She also believes that if we can find the way - the one way meant specifically for each of us individually - we can expect to be empowered.

“I wrote this book,” stated Domet, “to help people who are feeling victimized by their experiences gain insight and perspective. With my work in spiritual counseling, I see people suffering emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually; feeling they have no control in their lives. This book is semi-autobiographical as it touches on my own experiences with abuse, growing up in an addictive family, relationships issues and the like, and how changing my perspective of these experiences allowed me to regain my power and live purposefully. My inspiration for the book comes from my family, students, clients and the absolute belief that we create our lives by the choices we make. I want the readers to understand they are beautiful spirits who do not have to apologize for who they are and if they desire change in their lives, wherever they are now is the perfect place to begin.”

A recent review of ‘Waves Of Blue Light’ stated, “What an amazing book: I felt nothing but love when I read this book. My heart filled with wonder and awe as I got deeper into the affirmations and poetry. I related to the author's story and understood the feeling of not belonging and being different as she laid out in the book. Through this I now understand my journey in life to this point and am getting closer to accepting myself as I am. With the assistance of this book, my body, mind and soul and my connection to spirit is getting stronger every day.”

MJ Domet also offers Reiki classes, empowerment and enlightenment classes, deep healing classes and individual sessions to empowerment and enlightenment. She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at expecttobeempowered@gmail.com. Author Al Snapp Releases ‘Eat Great And Lose Weight: The Natural Cure For Diabetes’

The concepts in ‘Eat Great & Lose Weight’ demonstrate how, by simply eating the right foods, readers can begin to lose weight and feel great in just a few days. Unlike other diabetic diets, the book offers a wide selection of gourmet dishes from which to choose

Author Al Snapp has released ‘Eat Great & Lose Weight: The Natural Cure For Diabetes’. The book offers a simple plan to lose weight and possibly cure Type 2 diabetes and the associated medical costs through simple diet changes that nearly anyone can make. Unlike other weight loss and diabetic food plans, ‘Eat Great & Lose Weight’ features gourmet recipes that help make getting healthy enjoyable.

Al Snapp has always loved good food. As a result, he was a big person and was borderline diabetic for most of his life. At 18 years old, he was 225 lbs. At the age of 55, he suffered a heart attack as the result of his lifestyle and poor eating choices. He recognized he would be a heart patient for the rest of his life. Things got much worse when he was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. His doctor informed him that he could go blind, lose his legs and, in time, the combination may finally kill him. Al and his wife Michelle, a gourmet cook, realized the only course of action was to change their diet and do the best they could do to beat the odds. Though they searched all the information available to them, they couldn’t find a book that offered workable solutions involving tasty and healthy food choices. And so they wrote it.

“Every book we found," stated Snapp, "was confusing, outdated or offered boring and tasteless food selection lists. Therefore, our only choice was to develop our own plan and that's what we did. I continued eating gourmet foods. But in 9 months I lost 90 pounds. I am no longer a heart patient or diabetic and I take no medications. What we accomplished was almost unheard of. We then wrote a book that is simple, easy to understand, up to date and offers an endless variety of really healthy, tasty menus. We are very proud that the book has been endorsed by Dr. Claudio Manubens, Cardiologist and former Chief Of Staff at Heart Of Florida Regional Medical Center.”

‘Eat Great & Lose Weight’ is unique in that the concepts in the book overcome the challenges inherent in following a weight loss or Type II Diabetes eating plan:

* There are no expensive foods to buy
* The foods lower blood sugar
* 5 meals per day are recommended
* Preparation advice is included
* Sample lists of healthy and tasty food choices are included
* A 7 day suggested meal plan is included
* Gourmet recipes from 'Michelle's Kitchen' are featured throughout the book

“This book is for anyone,” continued Mr. Snapp, “who has decided to change their lifestyle and become healthy, without using pills or expensive plans. By simply changing what you eat, you’ll eat five times a day, never diet and feel better in days. You can reverse Type 2 diabetes, control heart disease, lose weight and live a healthier life. There’s no guesswork. It’s all in one book and it’s been proven to work.”

Al Snapp is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below, or by email at itsasnapp@gmail.com. More information is available at his website. ‘Eat Great & Lose Weight: The Natural Cure For Diabetes’ is available at Amazon.com and at his website. “Being selected to the ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’,” stated Mr. Holton, “has been such an honor. I hope readers will enjoy reading my dreams as much as I did in dreaming them.”

In ‘Deep Screams’, Earth has finally gotten past its differences and the Earth Coalition is formed. All countries are now brought together as human beings, not countries or races. Since multiple wars have left parts of the planet uninhabitable, the Coalition has decided that a space station would be launched into deep space. They will be on a mission to find other planets outside of our solar system that can be inhabited.

After they have been in space for six years, all of the signals from the Omega Space Station have suddenly stopped. Not knowing what might have happened, the Coalition calls for a new crew to intercept the space station and ascertain what has happened and to do whatever is necessary to bring the station back online. Little does the new team know; it’s not the space station that is dead and they are not alone.

Mr. Holton is also the author of ‘Squazles’, a children’s book that teaches children not to judge others. He is the illustrator of ‘Cameron’s A To Z’. ‘Cameron's A To Z’ was written by 10-year-old Cameron Titus, who watched a video on the damages of the tornados in Massachusetts and Missouri. He felt he had to do something to help. He sat down and came up with the concept of a book in which each word in the sentence begins with the same letter of the alphabet. He then went in search of an illustrator. This is where Mr. Holton came in. Mr. Holton has donated all his time and all proceeds from ‘Cameron's A To Z’ are donated to Habitat For Humanities.

Author Rusty Blackwood Releases New Children's Book, 'Through The Eyes Of Innocence'

Canadian Author Rusty Blackwood's new book, 'Through The Eyes Of Innocence' is now available. The new children's book is a collection of short stories for the young and the young at heart

Acclaimed Canadian author Rusty Blackwood, author of the 'Passion In Paris' series, has announced the release of 'Through The Eyes Of Innocence'. The new children's book is a collection of short stories based on her experiences growing up in rural Ontario, Canada.

"I wrote this newly revised book," stated Ms. Blackwood, "based in part on the previously released 'Young Minds' because I not only like to stay in touch with my inner child, which I feel everyone should do as it would be a shame to lose touch with that whimsical time and the memories it gave us, but also for my grandchildren to have a chance to experience through word some of the memories I share within these stories. It is chance to know the child I once was and that is important to me. I remember sharing special times with my paternal grandfather with whom I lived with and I can still feel him near me through the memories he provided. I hope my own grandchildren can experience these same things."

'Through the Eyes of Innocence' is a collection of imaginative short stories for children as well the young at heart who still wish to touch the child dwelling inside each of us.

"I believe readers will enjoy this book," continued Ms. Blackwood, "because a child sees the world through innocent, inquisitive eyes, always ready to absorb new realms of the imagination. Whimsical, descriptive stories allow their imagination to be free within the pages they read and to enjoy the experiences of other children which they will read about. I also feel those who are still young at heart will enjoy this book because it provides a window in time to their own childhood, possibly memories of their own special happenings. Hopefully those memories remind them of a wonderful time, laughter, and joy. Children are free of serious demand, especially the demand that comes with adulthood where time is never long enough, and playtime gives way to serious commitment to whatever that may be."

Her first venture into the competitive world of main-stream fiction was a long time in the making, but was finally realized in early October 2010 with the release of her debut romance novel, ‘Passion in Paris: Connections to the Past’, the first of two in the ongoing romance/drama. The second part, a romance novel entitled, ‘Passion in Paris: Directions of the Heart’ was released in May 2011 and will be followed by the intriguing drama, ‘Net of Lies’.

Author Robbi Sommers Bryant Creates New Genre In Recent Release, ‘The Beautiful Evil’

Robbi Sommers Bryant's recent release, ‘The Beautiful Evil’, is a fresh approach to the psychological thriller, built upon the fact that one in ten people is a sociopath, and that one of those sociopaths may be living next door or, perhaps, within

Author Robbi Sommers Bryant's recently released ‘The Beautiful Evil,’ takes readers on a frightening journey into the psyche. Like many classics before it, ‘The Beautiful Evil’ is a dark fantasy filled with symbolism, madness and internal struggles between good and evil.

“I wrote this book,” stated Ms. Bryant, “to share the work I've done developing a new genre of the psychological thriller. One in ten people is a sociopath. This book allows readers to meet the sociopath next door or, perhaps, within.”

'The Beautiful Evil' takes readers through the tumultuous consequences of one woman’s journey into a dark, personal hell in the pursuit of passion, hope and serenity. Constance’s domineering mother controls her life. Her mother chooses her friends, activities and clothing according to her rigid, high society standards. Devoid of self-expression, Constance's only true friend is her reflection in a bedroom mirror. Constance's adult life proves to be just as passionless and controlled. Constance believes her life will stay this way forever, until a purchase of an antique vase changes everything. When she opens the vase, demons storm into her life. Like bloodthirsty parasites, they dig into her, quickly attaching themselves to her psyche; quietly stealing away her soul. 'The Beautiful Evil' will keep readers questioning reality until the final ultimate act.

"Readers will enjoy this book," continued Ms. Bryant, "because it will hook them from the start. Many find they cannot put it down. All of the reviews I've received from readers, on Amazon.com, have been 5 stars. It's unique. It is truly a new genre of the psychological thriller."

Barbara Watkins of AllBooks Review stated “‘The Beautiful Evil’ is a riveting, hypnotic tale – one of which I believe its presentation is unique and genius. Bravo Ms. Bryant – Bravo.”
