Author Neige Blanche Announces Release Of New Erotic Romance Novel, 'Twisted Oak'

Author Neige Blanche has announced the release of her new erotic romance novel, 'Twisted Oak'. In the tradition of 'Interview With a Vampire', 'Twisted Oak' creates believable settings that weave reality and erotic fantasy into one cohesive fabric. It is a sweeping tale of a time and place. It is a sobering look at the human psyche; wildly controversial but utterly compelling. Above all else, it is a love story with a happy ending.

New erotic books for women are released nearly every day. Many simply rehash familiar and tired story lines. Only a few carve out a new standard for erotic literature. 'Twisted Oak' defines modern American family in all its diversity and strength that will endure for generations. A culture that embraces the alternative, but grasps the past, the characters and scenarios are both familiar and profane, but valuable in the struggle to find our greatest potential. 'Twisted Oak' is not for the faint of heart. It is an honest vignette of the savagery of the human condition and the power in all of us to live in spite of it.

"Anne Rice’s early work, especially her erotic works, 'The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy' and 'Exit to Eden' probably more than any other contemporary writer, is the standard I use for myself when it comes to the creation of characters, descriptions of place and time, plot, sentence and story structure and overall flow of prose," Blanche stated. "I am pleased that some reviews of 'Twisted Oak' show an appreciation for this focus. A well-crafted novel is both entertaining and a joy to read. Rice’s work is a standard I endeavor to meet."

Without a sense of place, and with no one to help her navigate the city as she struggles through withdrawal, Susan soon falls under the wing of Ty, a man no stranger to misery himself. Among crumbling walls and garden gates, he leads her deep into the city to a family and world so unlike her own that she must take on a new name: Neige Blanche.

Armed with this new identity, Neige finds her way to Twisted Oak, an estate owned by Mr. Gregory-Michel Delacroix, a place where power and pain are both familiar and profane. Wrapped up in Mr. Delacroix’s love for her, and intoxicated by his demands for complete surrender, Neige falls for this wealthy stranger and his exacting set of rules. With the historic kaleidoscope of New Orleans serving as the backdrop of her transformation, Neige embraces this voyeuristic new terrain, but is left wondering: Why me? As she unravels the Delacroix family history, the answer to her question is revealed.

Reviewers have stated, “Accurately portrays the culture of the south and the beauty of New Orleans” and “Prose was beautiful and compelling to read . . . examination of psychology behind the characters was excellent.”

"My work is very character driven," Blanche concluded, "but also examines the setting in which my characters exist, therefore a rich sense of time and place is an important element of my work. People do not exist in a vacuum. We are who we are because of our nature, but also because of where we are, where we have been, who we know and have known, and past and present stimuli that surrounds us in the real world and in our minds. Most importantly, my work endeavors to examine all facets of love/acceptance and how it shapes my characters’ current frames of mind, which in turn, shapes decisions and actions."
