Powerful Leaders Who Compromise Their Integrity Through Attacks On Women Is Nothing New States Joseph Ganci, Award-Winning Author Of Biblical Historical Fiction Novel 'Gideon The Sound And The Glory'

In 'Gideon, The Sound, and the Glory,' Ganci combines Old Testament revelations with modern day revelations, action and adventure to provide audiences with a unique, emotionally charged experience.

Yet again Donald Trump has been accused of making unwanted advances. According to a recent article on the Intelligencer website, the latest accusation by E. Jean Carroll brings the number of accusers to 16. While many of us see this as a modern-day problem, these types of situations have taken place throughout recorded history - many in the Bible itself. The Biblical versions often read as mere accountings of sordid historical events. Award-winning author Joseph Ganci however, through both meticulous research and modern-day revelation, brings some of these stories to life through historical fiction in ways that are engaging and compelling.

Ganci has a finely tuned flair for the dramatic. He uses this to turn the little-known account of Gideon into a Bible-based novel that reads like a modern-day major motion picture. He shows us that Biblical stories can be more than just dusty history - they can be keenly entertaining. He brings the Bible to life and rekindles the fires of ancient passions. He offers practical application of revelatory insights of faith, visions, and spiritual determination for modern-day living. He does it all in ways that will entertain, motivate and enlighten. He recently had this to say:

“She's not my type.” said Donald Trump, and so too said David, king of Israel also claimed his innocence. 'Indeed, not a married woman for the penalty of adultery is stoning, and it makes no difference either beggar or prince; it is a worldly as well as a spiritual death.' David even goes so far as to collude with his nephew, his chief captain Joab to orchestrate the ultimate penalty on an innocent man Uriah, his loyal soldier to cover his evil intentions and shield him from any consequences."

"Did David, already married to six wives, take Bathsheba another man’s wife to his bed because he is king and you cannot deny the king anything, even adultery. Did Bathsheba entice, seduce, and arouse David’s insatiable ardor knowing full well his weakness for youthful and beautiful women? Was Bathsheba’s marriage to a Hittite a grave mistake? Did she remain an unfulfilled and then an unfaithful woman from a powerful and wealthy family? Was David seduced, or was it by David’s command that keeps us guessing as to the actual events over these past three millennia? The Devil might be in the cracks and the crevices, but God is certainly in the details. The details in the timing and the location of the planned seduction lead me to only one conclusion that David, was a willing accomplice seduced by a woman's wiles. But that is not an excuse even for a king or any man to compromise his integrity and blame his sexual attraction and then his brutish actions because of a woman's alluring beauty, either hidden or breathtaking."

His eyes are straining against the deepening dark for one more fading glimpse of this mysterious vixen. The two women hoisted the flaming torches and disappeared behind closed doors leaving a void where only moments before David’s exotic fantasy was born.

David still reeling from the hot sweat of passion desperately inquired of all his household servants, saying, “A strange woman has suddenly appeared like a water nymph bathing on Ahithophel rooftop bath. Who is this bewitching creature?

Silence hung for only a moment when a servant girl both bashful and private uttered, “From your description and location sire it has to be Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam and so too the granddaughter of Ahithophel. Sire, she is also the recent wife of Uriah the converted Hittite. I know this my lord from the gossip of chambermaids and kitchen servants. David, pondered, “Why is that I had never seen her before?” The servant girl anxious from her ongoing conversation with the king took a nervous breath and continued, “She lives with her husband Uriah in Captain Eliam’s former residence located in the old Benjamite quarter of the city.”

David dismissed all that were in attendance but two of his most loyal and trusted bodyguards, Ahava, and Saval. He commanded, “I need you two to go and deliver a message to the lady Bathsheba who is at Ahithophel’s adjacent mansion with haste and discretion” David hurriedly set to work on a royal request with heartfelt words of love, desire, and ravenous passion. David procured a new clay writing tablet from his open cabinet.

Bathsheba, comely daughter of Eliam

By chance, design, or by divine coincidence, my eyes have beheld the fullness of your loveliness. My breath catches, and my aching heart is filled and ready to burst at the mere thought of your beauty. Under every violation, the pursuit of you, my most ardent and longing desire, and by everything holy, I should not be coveting another man’s wife.

So, dear lady, please forgive me for you have captured my soul, will, and emotions. I find myself adrift in a whirlwind of love since the moment that my eyes beheld the very first sight of you. I beg and beseech you for your presence if nothing but to talk so that I can hear the pleasant-sounding of your voice and feel the comfort from your closeness.

If this earnest plea does not sway you, then I command you, as your king and sovereign, for I will not take no for an answer.

David, son of Jesse.

Ganci takes a ground-breaking and revelatory path in his quest to bring the awe-inspiring story of Gideon to life and ultimately to film. He believes that connecting facts are far more enchanting than loosely fitting fantasies. He works within a framework of an engaging and dramatized fiction that, while exceedingly rich in detail, remains faithful to uphold spiritual principles. He bases his work on three primary pillars:

* The rock-solid cornerstone is historical biblical geography.

* The creative arch is revelatory in its timing and issues.

* The research is concrete, firmly rooted in customs, languages, and traditions.

Ganci fills in the blanks with rock-solid research and prophetic revelations. It is a style that has allowed him to create breakthrough approaches that are exciting and breathtaking while remaining within the limits of believable biblical teachings.

Mysteries long hidden in ancient shadows now leap to life blazing unto the pages of revelation. Details that link passages, peoples, and places are the most exciting part of the storytelling process. Details give possibilities a firm foundation as bones give form and strength to living flesh. Details long since lost or misunderstood, now ring true, giving texture, and breath, to long-forgotten gems of perception resurrected from ruins, dust, and ashes.

Ganci believes that Old Testament revelations are the Word of God. At the same time, that many needful details remained buried until the information age of discovery made them obvious and visible to the naked eye. These insights create a middle ground of understanding. As a dedicated and highly motivated researcher, he proposes there are many undiscovered nuggets of spiritual gold in the original manuscripts. He shines a new light on ancient texts and removes the black or white argument of the all-or-nothing question of modern-day revelations. He is adept at untangling the philosophical and theological human-made knots. And he gives us an opportunity to take a fresh look at what some consider to be foregone conclusions.

Readers of 'Gideon The Sound and the Glory' will learn about the Jewish Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, the mysterious Golden Ephod, how, and why, David found himself at his battle with Goliath, and much, much more.
