Palestinians Misrepresented In American Media - Terror Expert And Consultant Tony Attanasio Issues Statement

Attanasio is the author of a one true to life story and two historically based fiction books dealing with crime and terrorism. As an expert on terrorism, he believes much of the furor around the Palestinians has been created by American media outlets

When one reads articles in the US Media that depict Palestinians living in abject poverty, suffering harassment constantly by the Israelis, the astute reader soon learns that this information is not always accurate.  It doesn’t really take much research to bring to light the readily available history and current events that give a solid rebuttal to these claims.

"The Obama Administration," Attanasio stated, "recently gave the Palestinian Authority (PA) 450 million dollars. This is in addition to 950 million dollars that has been given outright to the PA over the past few years.  Several Counter Terrorism experts have stated that a good deal of this funding finds its way into private bank accounts and five star hotels on the Gaza beach front. Unfortunately, some of this funding finds its way to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad for weaponry such as rockets and mortars. The US is one of the main contributors to the PA treasury.  Also and never reported is the support received by the PA directly from Israel."

"Recently, a DNA testing took place to determine the origins of Palestinians. Simply, they are Arabs. So with this said where is the assistance from the Arab world in supporting and creating the State of Palestine? Both Israel and the US are not opposed to its formation. The assistance we have seen and documented from the Arab world is the payments up to $50,000 dollars to the families of Shaeed (suicide bombers.) These funds have come mainly from rich Saudis and Hezbollah, which is based in nearby Lebanon."

"So why this treatment of brother Arabs? Simply put, they are not well liked or welcomed in most Arab lands. Many Arab countries actually have created laws and rulings to keep the Palestinian populations in their land from achieving both population growth and in many cases citizenship. Let’s look at some of these rulings that control the Palestinian populations:

-Not allowed to become citizens of Arab countries, in accordance with Arab League Decree 1547 for 1959, "in order to preserve the Palestinian entity and Palestinian identity."

-Even in Jordan they can no longer become citizens. (There have been some exceptions: Palestinian Christians in Lebanon in the 1950s, Palestinians born from Egyptian mothers in 2011.)

-Palestinians face severe travel restrictions throughout the Arab world. They do not receive passports and their travel documents are only accepted by a few countries.

-Palestinians cannot vote or run for office in national elections in Arab nations

-Children born to Palestinians do not get citizenship in their host countries, violating Article 7 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

In the full statement on my site I break this down by country, including Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and Syria.”

"Recently a poll taken among Palestinians indicate that no matter how badly they are treated by their brother Arabs....it is America they hate more. This was obvious on 9/11/01, when Palestinians took to the streets of Gaza and the West bank dancing, rejoicing and giving out candy in celebration of the horrific attack that killed over 3000 people of which many were of Arab descent."

Tony Attanasio is a terrorism consultant and an accomplished writer who writes from direct personal experience. Tony was seriously injured in a line-of-duty incident that ended his career with NYPD. He subsequently served ten years with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he served as an Intelligence specialist. During his tenure he served in Miami, Europe and New York City. Both in Miami, Florida, and Europe, he served as liaison with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and traveled to CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where he presented a course on International Organized Crime.  Tony is currently a member of the NYPD Shield - counter terrorism group

Attanasio writes from real world experience. Tony has had a long career in investigating organized crime, money laundering, and radical Islam. His books have received national acclaim and five star reviews. Tony has consulted for Robert DiNiro in establishing authenticity for his film ‘Ronan’.

"If Arab nations," Attanasio continued, "would support their brother Palestinians in achieving a separate State of their own, they would then be able to resolve the issues that they have put into place in their respective countries relative to the Palestinian populations. But it seems that radical Islam wants very much for the present Palestinian situation to continue. They want the world to see Palestinians, as one would view an open wound with Israel causing a mass infection and preventing a cure. "

"The so called 4th estate badly needs to return to factual reporting of news events as they have occurred and stop creating news events that serve their political whim at that given moment."
