"Journaling," stated Ms. Welles, "de-clutters your life. It helps you dream on paper and clears paths to your own true voice. It unveils reservoirs of creativity that lie inside you. It gives you a safe harbor in which to heal, and provides you the room where your dreams can unfold. Meditation is a thoroughly integrated art and science, long in history, with valuable implications. In a culture of increasing frenetic noise, meditation is your appointment with peace. These two key practices contribute to health and well-being, and support you in living a life of peace and joy."

Other upcoming events include:

Positive Thinking Day: Don't Think Positive Thoughts - Think Powerful Thoughts To Achieve Your Goals Says Author And CEO Mary Lore

Mary Lore, CEO of Managing Thought LLC and author of Managing Thought is appearing at the Colorado Free University Lowry Campus ballroom in Denver CO on September 11. Mary Lore is also appearing on Fearlessly Speaking Internet Radio on Sunday, September 13, 2009

Mary Lore, founder and CEO of Managing Thought LLC, and author of Managing Thought: How Do Your Thoughts Rule Your World? is holding a workshop and booksigning at the Colorado Free University Lowry Campus ballroom in Denver CO on September 11, 2009. This workshop provides powerful ideas and strategies for executives, business professionals, management teams or any individual who wishes to achieve long lasting significant results by learning to manage thought.

“Many folks say that positive thinking works," said Ms. Lore, "and an equal number say that positive thinking does not work. And guess what, everyone’s right! For this reason, I don’t use the term positive thinking, I use the term powerful thinking. There is a distinct difference between a positive thought and a powerful thought. Positive thoughts often do not work or work only temporarily, as we sadly discover a few days or weeks of thinking rah-rah, motivational, or happy thoughts. Powerful thoughts, on the other hand do work. Powerful thoughts inspire us, spark creativity, access our highest awareness, and bring us ideas that move us in a direction that serves our purpose."

While many books touch upon the subject, Managing Thought is different in that it is a down-to-earth, practical guide to learning to harness the power of thought. The book provides a step-by-step process to help readers become aware of their thoughts, discover what they truly want at work and in life and to turn one’s desires into reality at both the individual and the corporate level.

Managing Thought is also the name of Ms Lore’s company. The company offers a variety of products and services that help individuals and organizations develop new ways of thinking to discover and achieve what is truly significant and valuable—in work and in life. Through the Managing Thought® process, individuals and organizations change their way of life and the way they conduct business to achieve happiness and significant results. The organization offers books, audio, workshops, coaching services, free worksheets and assessment tools, e-columns, daily downloads and many other products and services.

“So how do we know," continued Ms. Lore, "if a thought is powerful or not? Very simply, by noticing how we feel as we think a thought. When a thought is not working for us, we don’t feel good as we are thinking the thought. Our head and neck are tense, our eyebrows are furrowed, our breath is short, our chest and stomachs are tight."

"When we are thinking a powerful thought, we feel good. We feel at peace. We feel a sense of inner power. We feel inspired."

Mary’s book has won six best book awards in various business, leadership and personal development categories. The most recent Nautilus Awards for Conscious Business and Leadership and Audio Books that Enlighten and Inspire place Mary with previous winners including Deepak Chopra, M.D., Eckhart Tolle, and His Holiness the Dahli Lama.

Published by Ferne Press, Managing Thought: How Do Your Thoughts Rule Your World? hardcover, Kindle, and audio book are available through online retailers including Amazon, Borders and Barnes & Noble and through the Managing Thought website. A downloadable digital version of the audio book with bonus material is also available at the Managing Thought website.
