Author Sid Nachman Announces Free Ebook Download Of 'Bipolar Me', Great Resource For Patients And Caregivers

Nachman was the first person in the US to be diagnosed and successfully treated for bipolarism over 50 years ago. Sid writes engaging nonfiction books that revolve around his experiences growing up in Philadelphia

Sid Nachman has announced that 'Bipolar Me' is available for download for Amazon Prime members and Kindle Unlimited subscribers during the Holiday season. The book is a great resource for sufferers of bipolarism and those who work with individuals who suffer from bipolarism and related conditions.

Sid Nachman was the first person in the US to have been successfully treated for bipolarism over 50 years ago. 'Bipolar Me' provides a penetrating glimpse into the day-to-day experience of a man who dealt with a condition for which there was no name at the time - a time when such chemical imbalances might be diagnosed as a form of schizophrenia and could be treated with electric shock treatment or end up with the sufferer being locked away.

'Bipolar Me' is a wild ride of a story that has garnered high praise from readers and reviewers alike. Sid's no-holds-barred writing style and deft storytelling, combined with his own style of acerbic wit, takes readers on a trip through his life and his mind. It is filled with hilarious stories that show us that life is just plain good. BookLover USA said that the book is "A roller coaster ride through the mind of one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." It is a highly entertaining memoir that allows readers to take a ride with Sid into the unfettered mind of a bipolar boy who never grows up until his hair turns white. Readers will get to see his world in black and white and vivid color and will feel what he feels when he feels like he weighs three thousand pounds and a minute later can leap over tall buildings. Sid's life is a life gone wild that settles down when it’s almost too late.

"Besides being a legacy for my kids I wrote this book to share my own personal life lesson with anyone who thinks being bipolar is the end of their world," Nachman stated.  "This disorder is a blessing in disguise. If you get past feeling sorry for yourself, grit your teeth and let God hold your hand, you will come out of this storm a better person."

Sid Nachman is also the author of 'Strictly For Seniors' - a nonfiction work of short stories about what happened to Sid "after breakfast on Delancey Street" in West Philly during the 30’s and 40’s when his Mom gave him a big hug and kiss and sent him on his way.  Sid had great fun, survived bullying by hitting the bigger boys about the head with his violin case and developed his own singular brand of “street smarts".

Both of Nachman's books have received fantastic reviews. One stated, "Like James Joyce, Sid Nachman can take the ordinary and turn it into magic with a fluency that's imperceptible." Another said "Sid's stories touch the human soul with wit, charm and realism."

Sid Nachman is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at mollymax210@gmail.com. Both books are available at Amazon. The free Kindle ebook download is available for Amazon Prime members and Kindle Unlimited subscribers. Both Kindle and epub versions (for Nook and all other e-readers) of the book are available at Payhip at http://www.payhip.com/sidnachman. The Nook version is available at Barnes and Noble. Sid Nachman was the first person in the US to be diagnosed and successfully treated for bipolarism over 50 years ago. Sid writes engaging nonfiction books that revolve around his experiences growing up in Philadelphia

Five wives, two dead daughters, jail time, and a tour in a nut house, the term used in his day to describe a mental institution. What's left for life to throw at Sid to wipe the smile off his face? A new ebook apparently. Nachman has announced that 'Bipolar Me' is available for download for Amazon Prime members and Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

Sid Nachman was the first person in the US to have been successfully treated for bipolarism over 50 years ago. He announced that 'Bipolar Me' his memoir, is now available as a Kindle ebook download. "Being bipolar is no laughing matter," Nachman stated, "Doctors in the 50’s didn’t know their front from their back about chemical imbalances in the brain and diagnosed it as a form of schizophrenia, administered electric shock to eliminate all the ichies in the cortex, and if you were a blight on the community, locked you up with the rest of the mental defectives. Later as the doctors became more enlightened they called the disease, 'Manic Depression'. In the 70’s, to soothe the nerves of those afflicted as well as their families and to make it sound less threatening the doctors named the disease, “Bipolar”.

“I wrote this book," Nachman stated, "to give readers a technicolor picture of how I grew up. My world was quite different than the one we live in today. Coddling and political correctness would be frowned upon and  quickly flushed down the toilet.  Heavens to Betsy, I was even allowed to make my own mistakes, learn something from them and reinforce what my parents told me. Come to think of it: Would it be so bad if we took a step backwards and learned something from it?

Author Tarra Helfgott To Appear On The Authors Show On July 20, 2015

Helfgott is the author of 'Looking for Mr. Straight: A Guide to Identifying the Closeted Gay Men You May Be Dating'

Author Tarra Helfgott will appear on The Authors Show on July 20, 2015. Helfgott is the author of 'Looking for Mr. Straight: A Guide to Identifying the Closeted Gay Men You May Be Dating.'

Helfgott's guidebook helps women become more aware of an important dating issue: the closeted gay male who doesn’t know or want to know that he’s gay. First-hand tips and insights will help women recognize the key factors associated with gay men in the closet. They will then be able to apply these insights to the real world and learn to just go with their gut. As someone who has been through it, Tarra is here to reassure readers that there is something behind the feeling they have when "something doesn’t seem quite straight."

'Looking for Mr. Straight' brings the issue of closeted homosexuality to light and how it is complicating the dating lives of many women. In addition, stories, tips and insights can help women come to terms with their personal situations, whether they are struggling in the dating scene or questioning the sexuality of their partners.

“There is a common misperception that homosexuality is generally accepted in our society today and that gay men are no longer closeted," says Helfgott. "But the reality that millions of women face is that they are either married to closeted gay men, or are dating and becoming romantically involved with them. Women don’t have to struggle like I did and waste their time dating or staying in relationships/marriages with men who are struggling themselves.”

'Looking for Mr. Straight' has a 5 star rating on Amazon. Reviewers have stated, "This is a MUST read for any woman in search of her soul mate." and " . . .her pithy sense of humor and urbane style make for a great gal pal book group offering."

Tarra's show will be running at The Authors Show site on July 20, 2015. She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at thelf26@gmail.com. Edward Fairley Releases 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ' - Sensible Relationship Advice For Real People

Relationship advice has always been a popular topic worldwide. From 'Dear Abby' to Dr. Phil, there has never been a shortage of relationship advice. But in a world dominated by online relationship services, social sites, reality television and media megastars, practical advice is often very difficult to come by. Edward Fairley believes the time has come for real world, sensible relationship advice that makes sense for real people who live in the modern world

Edward L. Fairley has released 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ'. Fairley's book is aimed at providing sensible relationship advice for real people in a world dominated by online dating services and social media. Fairley's approach is very different from the 'he said/she said', male/female advice given in years gone by.

Fairley does not believe people are statistics, nor are they members of scientific groups. Fairley's approach also holds out that the emphasis on male and female gender needs actually exacerbates relationship difficulties. Rather than rehash all the typical advice for couples, Fairley instead offers some twists on conventional thinking that provide readers with down-to-earth information that is outside the boundaries of conventional relationship advice. Fairley's use of language and example allows him to simplify the complex dynamics of love, romance, and marriage. The result is practical, real world advice that is both enlightening and engaging.

"My relationship counsel," stated Mr. Fairley, "is built on the foundation of teaching the reader to communicate in a manner that helps them to understand their mate, not their 'male' or 'female' partner. Some writers base their counsel on studies and scientific theories. They conclude from these statistics that, due to a high percentage of a certain gender responding to situations in a certain way or sharing the same patterns, that the entire gender is one way and vice versa for the other gender. This is ridiculous, as people then make decisions based on assumptions about their partner offered by a book based on statistics. It's no wonder so many relationships experience difficulty. My book isn’t based on taking the studies and statistics of other people's work and massaging it to make it my own. It is based rather on how one person relates to another person."

Fairley's lack of emphasis on male/female gender role playing lies at the heart of his message. Rather than using an 'us vs them' mentality, his approach emphasizes that every person is precisely that - a person. His message resonates with those who have grown up with computer technology and cell phone usage. His counsel is particularly appropriate for young people, but is equally relevant for anyone who might be pursuing, or is already in, a committed relationship.

"I don't want to be Dear Abby or Dr. Phil," stated Mr. Fairley, "in fact, I hope to do just the opposite. Advice with a mass appeal does not mean much in a relationship created by two individuals. Each must find his or her own way. Every relationship is unique and one of a kind. There is no 'one size fits all' solution to relationship challenges."

Edward Fairley is available for media interview and speaking engagements. He can be contacted using the information below or by email at imwilling2investnu@gmail.com. 'The Handbook For Increasing Your Relationship IQ' is available at his website or at online book retailer sites. More information, including excerpts of the book, are available at his website.
