Multi-Award Winning Quebec Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Named Top Female Author For 2017 In Children's Book Category

Dr. Nicole is a best-selling author, based in Quebec, who writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons.

Quebec children's book author Dr. Nicole has been named as the 2017 winner in the Top Female Authors Book Awards, sponsored by The Authors Show. The latest award follows awards she has received from numerous other award organizations including Readers’ Favorite, Mom’s Choice Award, Purple Dragonfly, Global Ebook Awards, Shelf Unbound and a host of others.

Dr. Nicole has won multiple international awards and, in 2016, was recognized as one of ten “Most Quebec Inspirational Women” by Maman Dion, mother of singer Celine Dion, who created the Maman Dion Foundation to bring educational support to impoverished children and their families.

In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Through parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking. While her children's book are very successful, she has also received international acclaim and awards for books that help adults develop critical thinking skills.

"As a writer, I dedicate my life to change the world one reader at a time. Being recognized as one of the 2017 Top Female Writer, tells me that I should follow my dream. My next non fiction medical series Felix and Booboo will help children and their care givers to understand human body secrets and diseases."

Teaching children critical thinking skills is the focus of Dr. Nicole's award-winning children's books. Our children face issues that we have never faced - global warming, potential famine, water shortages and a host of other issues that are not just urgent - they threaten their very existence. Are our children being taught the skills that will allow them to thrive? To survive? How can we prepare our children and grandchildren for situations with which we have had very little or even no experience? Simply put, we must teach them critical thinking skills.

Two Bilingual Children's Books By Quebec Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Receive Story Monsters Approval Seal

Dr. Nicole is a best-selling author, based in Quebec, who writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons

Multi-award winning Canadian children’s book author Dr. Nicole has announced that two of her bilingual picture children's books, 'Strike At Charles' Farm/Grève à la ferme de Charles' and 'Are You Eating My Lunch?/Manges-tu mon lunch?' have received the Story Monster Approved seals.

If a child can master the art of critical thinking, nearly everything else falls into place. Sadly, critical thinking is not always taught to young children.

"I am truly grateful and honored for the Story Monster Approved seals," Dr. Nicole stated. "Being judged by children for my books makes me proud. Last year, my chapter book, 'Parents for Sale', received this honor. It motivated me to produce my two bilingual picture books. My true intentions regarding being an author are to inspire children to read, to set their imaginations free and to encourage good decision making regarding health, safety and moral responsibility. Writing children’s books is a way for me giving back and being a positive resource to the community. It is a way that I can positively express myself while having some fun and at the same time - being a positive role model for both children and parents. These are few small steps to make the world a better place. I hope that my books inspire children to set their minds free and work to make the world a better place."

As stated on the StoryMonsters.com website, "Kids know when they see the Story Monsters Approved! patch it means children their own age enjoyed the book and are recommending they read it, too. How do they know that? Because after books pass the first round of judging by industry experts, the books are then judged by a panel of youth judges who must also endorse the books before they can receive the official seal of approval."

Dr. Nicole’s books have won numerous awards. 'Parents For Sale', was a Bronze Medal winner in the 2015 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Contest in the Children - Animals category.
