Award-Winning Memoir, Love In Any Language By Evelyn Kohl LaTorre, Is An Eye-Opening Book Detailing A Cross-Cultural Marriage

‘Love in Any Language’ was a 2022 Book Excellence Award Winner in Multicultural Non-Fiction and a Readers Choice five-star awardee. She will be appearing on The Authors Show® on July 10, 2025

'Love in Any Language, a Memoir of a Cross-Cultural Marriage', offers readers a refreshing counterpoint to the grim narratives dominating today's immigration headlines. In her book, LaTorre invites us to explore the vibrant, hopeful side of marrying someone from another country. She offers a compelling story of a journey that transcends borders and languages and crafts a story that presents the beauty that can emerge from the complexities of cross-cultural love and marriage.

Love is tested when Evelyn falls in love with Antonio, a handsome university student. At the end of her two-year Peace Corps commitment in Peru, Evelyn finds herself pregnant and the 23-year-olds marry in Cusco and move to Northern California. Evelyn expects her husband to support their family, and Antonio tries to take his place as head of the household. But he must first learn English, complete college, and find a job.

Parenthood, financial stress, the pull of both countries, and long visits from Antonio’s mother threaten to destroy the bonds that brought them together. Readers will delight in witnessing Evelyn come into her own — as a woman, as a wife and as a mother — in this moving depiction of partnership and all the intricacies that encompass marriage and love.

"Today's increasingly multicultural world can benefit from reading this book to learn about the growth experienced from the mixing of cultures," LaTorre stated. "Love in Any Language presents a study of the challenges and joys of a cross-cultural marriage. The serendipity of life is fascinating."

'Love in Any Language' has received rave reviews from readers and reviewers alike. One Amazon reviewer said, "Every new couple heading to the altar should read this." Another stated, "This is a book I could not put down. Every page in LaTorre’s candid and insightful memoir is full of surprises as she leads the reader through the ups and downs of her cross-cultural marriage on her journey through life with her Peruvian husband." Another said, " . . . this is really as good as it gets. Thank you Evelyn for your honesty and your ability to dig deep and tell a story that everyone should hear!"

LaTorre's first memoir, 'Between Inca Walls: A Peace Corps Memoir', follows Evelyn as she joins the Peace Corps and is sent to perform community development work in a small mountain town in the Andes of Perú. There, she and her roommate, Marie, search for meaningful projects and adjust to living with few amenities. Over the course of eighteen months, the two young women work in a hospital, start 4-H clubs, attend campesino meetings, and teach PE in a school with dirt floors. Evelyn is chosen queen of the local boys’ high school and—despite her resolve to resist such temptations—falls in love with a university student.

Evelyn LaTorre will appear on The Authors Show® on July 10 with an interview about 'Love in Any Language'. Both of her memoirs are available at Amazon. Readers can find more information and buy signed copies directly from Evelyn at her website at https://evelynlatorre.com.

Children's Books For Christmas - Author Sarah Klaiber's 'Treasures' Is A Gift To Be Passed Down To Future Generations

Klaiber's new book teaches kids and adults how good it feels to love and appreciate the treasures all around us.

The Holidays are a special time of year when we stop and take the time to look at all we have to be thankful for. We express our appreciation all that we have been given. Most of us exchange gifts at Christmas and our children are the primary focus of gift giving.

While some gifts last only a few weeks or month perhaps, before breaking or being pushed aside, some of those gifts fall into a different category. Nearly all of us recall receiving that special gift, that one of a kind heirloom gift that has been passed down from generation to generation. Award winning author Sarah Klaiber has created such a gift with her new children's book, 'Treasures'.

Many books have been written around the concept of positive thinking. However, to find the reason WHY we should be positive, we must look beyond our perceptions of everyday events. This goes beyond positive thinking to the realization that every happening - good, bad, ugly, sad - offers us the opportunity to find a hidden treasure. What is a treasure? A treasure is anything that has value. And every one of those treasures holds massive power. How do we do that? There are three simple steps - Stop. Look. Appreciate.

A child's mental health is all important. Our children face issues we have never faced. The mental health issue is particularly challenging, as today's kids must interact in a world in which social media (and the resulting cyberbullying) take center stage. This does not only affect children. Adults face many of the same issues.

"I wrote this book to remind children and adults to appreciate the small things, the things around them that are often taken for granted," Klaiber stated. "If we invite this message into our lives early on, the world could one day be a better place."

Thankfully, Sarah did not stop with publishing a book. She also created a blog where she presents all kinds of ideas in regards to learning how to stop, look and appreciate.

When asked about the mission of her blog, Sarah stated “It is important to think positively more often than most of us do. The opportunity to do so is always with us, not just when 'Treasures' is open. My blog gives this message value. It gives the opportunity to connect, comfort and allow gentle reminders into our unprioritized minds"

'Treasures' has received high praise from readers and reviewers. The book received a five star review from Readers Favorite. In that review, Barbara Fanson stated, "Treasures will remind children that they have a lot more valuable items in their life than they realize." Red City Review said, "The lesson offered is a crucial one, and parents will be sure to support the message that the book is trying to make." Another Amazon reviewer said, "Perfect book for keeping little ones grounded in this high tech, materialistic world." Great word choices tell what children (and everyone) value most. Excellent for grandparents' (and parents') snuggle time . . ."

Sarah Klaiber was recently featured on The Authors Show. She is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at sarahklaibertreasures@gmail.com. 'Treasures' is available at online retail book outlets. More information, including her blog, is available at her website at http://www.treasuresaroundus.com.

About Sarah Klaiber:

Writing was Sarah’s first love. Her creations started at a very young age with poetry and short stories. As time went on, her passion evolved into songwriting. Sarah enjoyed composing so much that she made plans to pursue it as a career after high school. She was offered a recording contract, but there was a better path in her future.

Creativity took a back seat as Sarah worked towards being the best wife and mother she could be. The music scene made a brief re appearance, but the experience was disappointing to say the least. After that, the pen stood still for quite some time.

From a very young age, Sarah also fought the silent battle of depression. It worsened in time and began to rob her and her family of the happy memories they deserved. Finally, she had enough. That was the day she began her journey to fight instead of give in. The result has been better days.

Sarah taught herself that, among other changes, taking time to find appreciation provides a better outlook and bring light to some darkness. The concept began with “Treasures,” the resurrection of her passion for writing. Today, she is proud to be the voice of someone who gets it, someone who still struggles but not ashamed to admit imperfections while trying to help others.

Leave A Permanent Record Of Your Life Story - Acclaimed Author Sid Nachman Now Producing Memoirs For Those Who Hope To Leave A Legacy

Nachman own books relate a life story that is astounding. He is now providing ghostwriting services for those who would like to publish their own memoir.

Most of us would love to leave a legacy for our children, grandchildren and future generations - all the memories, challenges and triumphs immortalized forever. While old photo albums have served this function in the past, a memoir - professionally produced in book format - is the perfect vehicle to accomplish this. Unfortunately, few of us are writers, let along good writers. Though self publishing has made things easier today, self publishing still presents a real challenge for most people.

Sid Nachman has solved this problem. Sid is a five star author who has produced two memoirs about his own life. Now he is doing the same for other people by ghostwriting memoirs for them.

These professionally produced memoirs immortalize one's life story - in the subject's own words - with all the memories that family, friends and future generations can cherish forever. The end product can be in ebook, paperbook or audio format. Books can be illustrated in color or black and white.

The information for the book is provided via 3 one hour interviews, in person or by phone, with a proof available prior to printing to assure quality and accuracy.

"Upon publishing my own memoir, and seeing the reactions of my family and friends, I realized that this is something everyone should do," Nachman stated. “I wrote my books to leave my family a piece of me behind, to tell them what it was like to grow up in my world, to let them feel my pain, my joy, the bad, the good of what it took to make my dreams come true. Hopefully when they turn the pages of my book, I will come alive to them. I honestly feel that any like-minded person can leave a permanent living legacy to their family and I can help them do it at a price that won’t break the bank.”

Anyone can write, but very few people can write well. Sid Nachman has received rave reviews for his writing skills on his two memoirs, 'Strictly For Seniors' and 'Bipolar Me' BookLover USA called his memoir, 'Bipolar Me', "a roller coaster ride through the mind of one of the funniest and endearing story-tellers of his generation." Others 5 star reviews have said:

"Like James Joyce, Sid Nachman can take the ordinary and turn it into magic with a fluency that is imperceptible."

"His writing and memories he writes about are a treasure."

"It's a book that seniors shouldn't miss reading."

"It’s childhood nostalgia at its best."

"The author’s writing has a natural flow to it that enables the reader to feel they are right there with him."

"His book is amazing. The author is a great story teller."

"The author amazes, enlightens and entertains. I couldn't put his book down."

Sid Nachman is available to answer questions regarding his ghostwriting services or for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at mollymax210@gmail.com. Both his memoirs are available at Amazon. Both Kindle and epub versions (for Nook and all other e-readers) of the book are available at Payhip at http://www.payhip.com/sidnachman. The Nook version is available at Barnes and Noble. More information, including samples from the books and recent interviews with The Authors Show, is available at his website at http://www.sidnachman.com.
