Michael Cupo proposes that society does not clearly address the real cause of addiction. He has an understanding that all addictions can be overcome when that real cause is addressed and understood
A recent article on AZFamily.com entitled "Heroin addict worries she will die if she can't get clean" details Bianka Fisk's struggle with addiction. The article quotes her as saying, "The devil takes over, that's the only way I can explain it."
Michael Cupo, author of 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind' has been there and relates to this struggle. His experience has revealed, it's not the devil that makes one an addict - it's their own conditioning. He also knows the real issue that leads to a final cure is not being addressed by those in the field of addiction.
"Regardless of what occurs in one's life," Michael stated, "it doesn't make a person use drugs. It may seem as though it does, but it is only ones 'conditioned mind' that makes this appear to be so. What's happens in life happens, good, bad, or indifferent, but as one allows what happens in the past to control one in the present, a void is created and this is why the 'need' to reach for any substance occurs.
At the core of all addictions, regardless of what's used, is a self centered perspective. And until this truth is seen, one will always have the need to reach for something to satisfy this created void. This goes against what many in the addiction field believe and what is engrained in our society. This is a bold statement, but it can be backed up, this is not just idle chatter.
It is through the understanding of one's own mind that the ultimate truth of this can be revealed. This truth allows one to break free from one's self centered perspective and see that nothing is needed to fill a false, self created void. One is complete just as they are, this just isn't understood or known. This is the reality of all addictions. When this is understood the reaching ends because there is no longer a void to fill.
Without a self centered perspective, reaching for a substance or anything else wouldn't occur. Why does the need to alter the way one feels occur in the first place? It's because of that self-centered perspective, which is at the root of any addiction. This is why one reaches outside themselves to begin with. There can't be an addiction if the need to use something isn't there.
If society really wants addiction to end we must address the real issue. Until the real problem is addressed, addiction will never end. People will continue to die and suffer because of the ignorance of those in control of the information being put out to the public. Freedom from a self centered perspective is the only truth one needs to break free from the hold of addiction. This is the freedom from the bondage of self. This one and only truth will eventually be seen and that's when the heroin epidemic and all addictions will cease.
Programs don't change people, therapy doesn't change people, an outward God doesn't change people. These may assist in some way, but the reality of any change referenced to addiction is not to be self centered. An inward quietness needs to be established, which will assist immensely in one's transformation. Some call this God, but I'm not talking about outward change, that is society's gauge. Real change takes place inside - this is where Universal Love dwells.
The truth? It is one's own conditioned mind that causes addiction. Once the conditioning is no more, one's addictive behaviors will be no more."
It is this truth that Michael Cupo offers to readers in 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts'. He takes a very unique approach in the presentation of the method. That message has resonated with readers, many of whom have responded enthusiastically.
One reader recently stated, "Your written experience has influenced me more than any book I have read, what my M.A. in psych has taught me, 16 years of on/off therapy, Byron Katie workshops, personal interaction with Phil Lombardo, Shakti Gawain, Bob Stahl, Louise Hays and various Hay House authors that I personally know who have directed me towards my true being of love. There hasn't been a need to see my therapist for 6 weeks. I am looking forward to a new relationship with him and with myself. Thank you so much for discovering the truth and sharing it with the world. Without meeting you, I believe you are my friend."

About Michael Cupo:
Although he had a very good upbringing as a child, he always seemed to struggle with life and for reasons unbeknownst to him, he was always in trouble. He drank alcoholically, gambled, abused drugs and painkillers. He bounced from relationship to relationship. Until one day that all changed
The transformation is shared in 'It’s Monday Only in Your Mind: You are Not Your Thoughts'. His credentials for writing this book are that he lives this change each day. His view of life is so different from the way it use to be. Through the practice outlined in his book he has learned to allow his mind to quiet enough which has allowed his heart to open. The quieter the mind becomes the more love becomes the default setting of ones life. This is truly a modern-day miracle, a miracle that can happen to anyone who has the desire to do what is necessary to allow this ''instant transformation" to occur.

Michael Cupo, Author of 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts', Reveals The Real Cause Of Addiction And The Only Method That Will End All Addiction

Author Michael Cupo Chosen As One Of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' For 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts'
Anxiety, depression and a host of other ailments are the target of a host of self improvement books. According to most of those books, there are specific approaches to overcome each of these challenges. Michael Cupo's work instead declares that not some, but all negative states can be overcome using a single approach
Author Michael Cupo has been chosen as one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'. His honors came as the result of an appearance on The Authors Show in which he discussed his latest self improvement book, 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts'.
The new self improvement book takes a different approach than most other books in the self improvement genre. While these books take a constricted view, carefully limited to solving very specific problems one at a time, Michael instead takes an all-encompassing approach.
According to Michael, every unwanted state is caused by a common problem - the underlying conditioned thought pattern. Learning to control one's thoughts leads one naturally to the underlying cause of the undesired state. Michael's approach, while simple, is a very powerful approach that works.
"I am honored to have my book 'It's Monday Only in Your Mind: You Are Not Thoughts' awarded to be in the top 50 books that should be read in 2015," Michael stated. 'The Authors Show has been a very rewarding experience in bringing my book more exposure. I think the impact this award will have on bringing my book more exposure will be seen for years to come."
Michael's approach can lead to a state of instant transformation. He is not a researcher or psychologist. He is instead a man who has been there. He drank, gambled, abused drugs and bounced from relationship to relationship. Even after he overcame his addictions in 1987, those troubles stopped, but his self-centered behavior never changed. Instead he substituted one compulsion for another. Although his addictions became more respectable — taking the form of material possessions — he was still trapped, migrating restlessly from one obsession to another. Then his life changed — instantly, not magically, but profoundly when he came to the realization that 'The only way one's life will ever change is when the conditioning that makes it so changes'.
It is this method he offers to readers. He takes a very unique approach in the presentation of the method. That message has resonated with readers, many of whom have responded enthusiastically.

Stress, Anxiety, Fear And Depression: Author Michael Cupo Offers Steps To Instant Transformation In 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts'
Self improvement books normally limit their approach to overcome specific problems. Michael's work moves the bar up and declares that not some, but all negative states can be overcome using a single approach
Author Michael Cupo has announced the release of 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts'. The new self-improvement book takes a different approach than most other books in the self-improvement genre. While most books take a constricted view, carefully limited to solving very specific problems one at a time, Michael instead takes an all-encompassing approach.
What do stress, anxiety, fear, addiction and depression have in common? They are all unwanted mental states. And every one of those unwanted states is caused by an underlying conditioned thought pattern. Therefore, if one could simply not be controlled by their thoughts, it would be impossible for these unwanted states to occur. Is it that simple? Michael knows through his experience that this is so. He is in good company, as teachers such as the Buddha stated very much the same. Michael states, "The only way one's life will ever change is when the conditioning that makes it so changes."
Michael's answer is a set of simple and easy to accomplish steps that allow us to overcome these conditioned minds patterns (as he calls them throughout his book) of thoughts that lead to these unwanted states. The result is nothing short of instant transformation. He details his message and his methods in 'It's Monday Only In Your Mind'.
Michael Cupo is not a researcher or psychologist. Then his life changed — instantly, not magically, but profoundly.
"I discovered that I wasn’t truly dependent upon a substance or activity," Michael stated, "My need to reach outside myself for fulfillment was created by a false perception of deficiency. If this sense of lack didn’t exist in me, there wouldn’t have been a need to reach and grasp. In this book I explain what caused this. I’ve learned as human beings we are really in conflict with ourselves, and we don’t understand where these conflicts originate from. I discovered it is our own mind, which has been conditioned to constantly think about our self that makes us look for our answers out there somewhere. This is the root cause of our conflicts. It’s a mind that is leading us around like we’re puppets on a string. I have found through self investigation a practical gateway to freedom that anyone can learn."
"My book describes a step by step process on how to do this. This is not a magical solution, but is instead practical. If we ever want to be truly free, we will have to realize that we are going to have to let go of the limited world we have devised in our heads. We should learn to let go now, while there is still time to really enjoy life. Even though it seems as though we don't have a choice to do this, we really can make that choice now."
