Sharpe's previously published books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
Jody Sharpe, multi-award winning author of three books about angels, has announced the release of a new children's book, 'When The Angels Sent Butterflies'. The new book helps children understand that love from their parents and others surrounds them. Love conquers fear and believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away. This concept is presented in the book when Angel Ken sends Jones and Kate butterflies.
The new book, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, is now available at Amazon and Ingram.
In a recent post on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her website, Sharpe discussed the story behind the new book:
"When I wrote my new children’s book, 'When The Angel Sent Butterflies', it came from the heart and the miracle of seeing butterflies at the most serendipitous of moments. My late daughter, Kate at four years old, was for a brief time, afraid of bees. As I wrote the story I thought of butterflies as calming the character Kate’s fears as love is sent by Angel Ken with a wave of butterflies from his hands.
"But really the synchronicity of it all seems angels, butterflies, and bees, all represent hope, joy and love to me. One of the favorite lines I ever wrote was not in one in my books. To one of my best friends who is fighting illness I wrote:
“Though thought to be fragile, butterfly’s wings are strong in the wind. They fly miles on angel wind.”
"The strength of angels sending love through the flight of butterflies and bees gives me peace. This is part of the wondrous spiritual awakening in me."

Synchronicity And Angel Inspired Events Provide The Inspiration For Three Books About Angels, New Children’s Book By Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
In a recent post on the 'Tuesdays With The Angels' section of her website, award winning author Jody Sharpe described some of the happenings that went beyond coincidence after the untimely death of her daughter Kate. Some of these events inspired her to begin writing novels about angels and their interactions with humans. Sadly, not long after, she also lost her husband and again experienced serendipitous encounters that were beyond mere chance. Now the angels on the writer's shoulder have provided the stimulus for a new children's book entitled, 'When The Angel Sent Butterflies'. On her website, Sharpe describes some of these synchronicities:
"Kate’s memory had inspired me to write novels about angels and my life was filled with purpose and thanksgiving. Yet sadly I lost my husband Steve and wondered how would I handle another death of someone I loved? But a beautiful new message came. Was it another synchronicity happening? My son, Mike, gave me a birthday card with a jeweled butterfly on it. 'You will get your wings and fly again soon,' Mike wrote.
"And so inspired by his loving heartfelt card and the yellow butterflies on the bushes outside my window, I began to formulate in my mind the third novel in the Mystic Bay Series, Town of Angels. It’s a novel set in the psychic town of Mystic Bay where angels live as humans and love abounds. In the story butterflies are sent from Angel Ken, to calm and nurture his flock of humans. Some land on the shoulders and fingers of the characters changing their days to happy ones.
"And then a serendipitous encounter? What happened next was to me a miracle. This past summer Elizabeth called with news of a butterfly landing near and on her family as they sat on the steps at their apartment building in New York City. For one week in the late afternoon a butterfly graced them with its presence landing a few times on each of them. It landed on my son-in-laws’ finger, on Elizabeth’s shoulder and on the baby’s shoulder. A coincidence caught on their cell phones?
"I think not but a synchronicity, a happening of love, a testimony of finding heaven's messages in the everyday. For I believe our world is awash with guiding angels. Some even come in dreams or send butterflies. For you see the most lovely part of this story is dear Elizabeth and her husband Seth named their baby girl Kate more then twenty years after Kate’s passing. I had my baby granddaughter, Kate, another Kate to love. A butterfly had landed on her shoulder just as I’d written in my latest novel."

Grief Over Tragic Loss Of Young Daughter Leads To Healing Through Writing Books About Angels - The Angels Daughter By Multi-Award Winning Author Jody Sharpe
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
A death in the family is something we will all experience - many times over perhaps. While any loss of a family member is heartbreaking and tragic beyond words, at no time is this more true than when a parent loses a child. For Jody Sharpe, the loss of her daughter at a young age served as the impetus for healing and restoration through writing stories about angels living on Earth. She discussed this in a recent post on her site.
"The last thing I heard was her laughter," Sharpe stated. "My daughter Kate passed away years ago but I can still hear her wonderful laugh that day in my mind.Kate had such an enormous impact on my life. The nineteen years we had together changed my world for the better. I so loved being her mother. There was a song that used to play on the radio in the late seventies when she was about three and we would sing it together. ‘You and Me Against the World’ by Helen Reddy. As her mother I thought the following lines pertained to my passing first.'For all the times we cried, I always felt that God was on our side. And when one of us is gone and one of us is left to carry on… think of all the things that we’ve been through… our memories alone will see us through. Think about the days of me and you. Me and you against the world.'
"I wrote my first novel 'The Angel’s Daughter’ in her memory." More is available as Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

Special Needs Students, Bullying And Angels - Self Esteem And Shame Issues Play Key Role In Bullying Says Jody Sharpe, Award Winning Author Of Books About Angels
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
In an article found on the Psychology Today website entitled 'Do Bullies Really Have Low Self-esteem?', Mary C. Lamia, PhD. presents a number of facts regarding self esteem and bullying. According the the research done on bullying and self-esteem, the behavior may have less to do with self-esteem and more to do with being "shame-prone". Bullies may project their own self-loathing onto others, hoping to evoke a sense of shame in their victims.
Jody Sharpe is a retired special needs educator who observed special needs kids being bullied by others many times. She recently offered an article in the Tuesdays with the Angels section of her website. That article read in part:
"I first became aware of bullying before 1974 when I was a child and the American With Disabilities Act had not been passed. Children with Special Needs were not allowed in the public school system. As we walked to grade school a girl about twelve I guessed with flaming red hair would ride her bike by our school almost every day as we were about to cross at the crosswalk. I knew she was different and know now after a long career in Special Education she had Down’s Syndrome. The kids would laugh and point while calling her names as she drove by our school but I never did. I just stood there always feeling sad for her wondering who she was. I knew it was wrong for the kids to make fun of her. The girl obviously wanted to belong and go to school like the other kids."
The full article is available at Sharpe's website.
On the surface bullying and angels would appear to have no connection whatsoever. However both of these subjects are of particular interest to Sharpe, who has managed to bring them together in a series of books that have taken a number of awards and have garnered a large number of top rated reviews.
Sharpe recently released her newest novel 'Town Of Angels', a book that centers on the issue of bullying in a town in which angels are in residence. The book is now available in both print and e-book format, and is also available in print from online and traditional booksellers. In addition, the book is now featured in a new video available at her site.
In 'Town Of Angels' it is angel vs. bully in the town of Mystic Bay, California, where a well kept secret lies. Angels live as humans there. After angels appeared to three children all was blissful in the town full of psychics, and ordinary folk. But as a bully, Klaus Waxman, comes to town, Angel Ken Leighton, a storeowner, must carefully guide his flock of humans not to give to in to the bully’s efforts. As Klaus opens a store mocking the resident angels sightings, Angel Ken guides psychic Justine Greer and her family to thwart his efforts. And with the help of the indomitable oldest psychic in town, Madam Norma, the bully meets his match with soft voices and intuitive minds…
Reviewers have given the new book the highest ratings. One reviewer stated, "The book’s characters are bright and well developed and the stories in Mystic Bay move the reader through this spiritual journey with guidance from angels. The images and fascinating stories behind the Mystic Bay series would certainly be worthy of a screenplay to further bring this saga of spiritual awakening to life."

She was determined not to just merely survive, but to live; to honor the life of her beloved daughter, her twins, her husband and the rest of the rich life she had created before the tragedy. Blessed with an inherently positive outlook these trying times were strengthened by influences from the late Norman Vincent Peale to the children's book character, Wilbur the pig. For Sharpe, ministers of spirit and guidance took the form of angels. Sharpe's openness to change led her to write her first novel, 'The Angel's Daughter'. Special Needs Students, Bullying And Angels - Name Calling Is One Of The Most Hurtful Forms Of Bullying Says Jody Sharpe, Award Winning Author Of Books About Angels
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
It seems as though only pre-adolescents would be found guilty of name calling. However, in the US today, we see name calling being used as a political weapon at the highest levels of government. Is this the example we want to set for our children? Author Jody Sharpe has written a number of books about bullying and angels, and spent a good percentage of her time as an educator working with special needs children. She recently posted a piece on her website that offers some penetrating insights into these subjects.
"Lately, I’ve watched the news and tweets with much concern," Sharpe wrote. "Name calling is so unhealthy for all our souls and so hurtful for our children to witness. Whatever happened to a healthy debate? In high school the debate team is never allowed to name call. We know our children are watching and wondering why so many politicians and grown ups have succumbed to name calling. So what to do? I ask the angels. The thought comes to me that being examples of kindness and respect in our own words to everyone is the only way."

Special Needs Students, Bullying And Angels - Jody Sharpe, Multi Award Winning Author Of Books About Angels, Announces Payson Book Festival, KPJM FM Radio Appearances
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
Bullying affects all of us, regardless of where it takes place. Tha belief in angels who walk among has been a prevalent belief for centuries. On the surface bullying and angels would appear to have no connection whatsoever. However both of these subjects are of particular interest to award winning author Jody Sharpe, who has managed to bring them together in a series of books that have taken a number of awards and have garnered a large number of top rated reviews. Sharpe recently announced several media appearances.
Jody will appear as a featured author at the 2019 Payson Book Festival held in Payson AZ. She also recently appeared on a live interview on KPJM FM, a a 501c3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide anti-addiction and anti-abuse education to help keep the community’s children from entering into destructive behaviors.
"I was honored to be on the KPJM fm radio station Payson, Arizona interview talking about the upcoming Payson Book Festival and the novels in my Mystic Bay Series, 'The Angel's Daughter', 'To Catch an Angel' and 'Town of Angels'. I had a wonderful interview with Pam, the radio host and we discussed why and how I decided to write books about angels living as humans. The answer is I think I might have met an angel once in human form years ago after my daughter died. We discussed also my newest book 'Town of Angels', where angel vs. bully. Of course I explained just like in all my books bullies can be thwarted by the characters, 'with soft voices and intuitive minds.' A bully really never wins!"
"The Payson Book Festival at Mazatzal Casino Ballroom is my favorite book festival of the year. Set in the cool pines of Arizona, writing talent from all over Arizona present their books. There are speakers, great food, entertainment, a raffle and lots of camaraderie. Come see us July 20, 2019 9am to 3:30 pm. I'll be there with my three novels in the Mystic Bay Series."
Jody Sharpe is a retired special needs educator. She recently released her newest novel 'Town Of Angels', a book that centers on the issue of bullying in a town in which angels are in residence. Thus she is uniquely qualified to discuss bullying (and specifically how it impacts special needs students) and angels. She recently issued a statement on her website that details a particularly disturbing form of bullying that happened to her in Kindergarten. The statement reads in part:
"Oh yes we’ve all been bullied. Recently, I remembered a long ago instance I must have placed in the back corner of my mind. Writing about bullying brought it back. 'Look at the baby cry.' That’s what I heard one day in Kindergarten. It’s a memory that makes me ponder now these decades later."
"The schoolyards of yesterday seem to be played out by adults in our midst today. Shouldn’t we the grown ups now be the role models of respectful behavior to our children and grandchildren? What’s happened I think is some adults have lost their way. Some are playing into the bullies fiery words by matching with their own fire."
"So way back in Kindergarten, a lesson was learned that must have brought me to this place of writing books about angels. You see the one who taunted me back then was my Kindergarten teacher."
The full text of both statement is available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.
Jody Sharpe is an award winning author of several books about angels and now one in which a bully plays a prominent role. She recently announced that her latest book, 'Town Of Angels', is now available in both print and e-book format, and is also available in print from online and traditional booksellers.

Jody Sharpe knows angels exist. Her first book, ‘The Angel's Daughter’, was written in memory of her daughter Kate. Her second book, 'To Catch An Angel', was written in memory of her husband Steve.
Over a decade ago, when her daughter died tragically Sharpe faced down the most difficult challenge of her life. The story that takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, California and encompasses all Sharpe's attitudes about goodness, healing and moving on.

Special Needs Students And Bullying In The Workplace - Jody Sharpe, Multi Award Winning Author Of Books About Angels, Issues Statement
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
While bullying affects all of us, it impacts special needs kids in a particularly negative way. Author Jody Sharpe is a retired special needs educator and is the author of the recently released novel 'Town Of Angels', a book that centers on the issue of bullying in a town in which angels are in residence. Thus she is uniquely qualified to discuss both subjects. She recently issued a statement on her website that details a particularly disturbing form of bullying that happened to a special needs student in the workplace. The statement reads in part:
"When I first started teaching vocational skills to kids with special needs, I was in awe of their enthusiasm for volunteering so perhaps eventually they could secure a paying job. I was an idealist and still have great expectations of my fellow man. But one of my first attempts to get a student volunteer a few hours at a book store near our town college didn’t go well.
"I always brought the student with me as I looked for placement for volunteering. I always explained to management we were from the high school work program and we would have someone with the student coaching at all times until such time as they could work on their own. The book store would be a great volunteer site for the student.
"I must say I was mortified when the manager said in front of the student, 'I don’t want these kind of kids in this store!' I was taught to be polite and so I turned around and walked out. If my student noticed the disgust in the managers voice I don’t know, however, I never went back to that store in my thirteen years working the job I loved in the work program."

Special Needs Kids And Bullying - Award-Winning Author Of Book About Angels, Jody Sharpe, Announces New Video, Issues Statement About Bullying
Sharpe's books are riveting inspirational thrillers written in honor of her daughter Kate and her husband Steve.
While we perhaps think about kids and bullying frequently today, we seldom think about how bullying affects special needs kids specifically.
Author Jody Sharpe is a retired special needs educator and is the author of the recently released novel 'Town Of Angels', a book that centers on the issue of bullying in a town in which angels are in residence. Thus she is uniquely qualified to discuss both subjects. She recently issued a statement on her website, which reads in part:
"When I first started teaching Special Education years ago, I learned a valuable lesson about bullying. For bullying can come from anyone, child or adult. I taught students that were labeled 'Mentally Retarded' but they weren’t 'retarded' at all. These eleven to thirteen year old students were socio-economically deprived. The materials were scarce and I had to use my creativity and own materials to teach them reading.
"The first week I taught reading I would call on them to read. I was shocked when one boy named Michael got up and stuttered with the words. He didn’t normally stutter when he spoke. Some of the kids laughed. I realized then he had been bullied by students or perhaps even a teacher and calling on him to read made him stutter and anxious.
"For the rest of my career I always asked first, 'Who would like to read?' Michael taught me a very valuable lesson. I learned to respect and honor the students, being sensitive to their needs and character."
In another entry she wrote, "Our children must learn to find courage so they are able to handle bullying. Teaching children to find courage is one of the most important lessons a parent and educator can do. Remember a time when you were bullied? I do. And yet those times were lessons weren’t they? I’ve heard it said that the bully is a teacher of sorts. Bullies are really teaching us how not to be like them. Finding a place in our hearts where courage lies fills us with triumph. Just as the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz found the courage he so desperately sought, adults and children alike can find their own way to courage. For courage was always there inside the Lion’s heart."
The full text of both statements is available at Sharpe's website at http://www.jodysharpe.com.

In this ongoing series, she presents quotes about angels drawn from several of her books and fascinating angel stories from herself and others who submit stories for publication. She also recently presented a new story about a man who met a male angel sitting on the bed of his wife, who was soon to pass away. The full story is available at her site.
Jody is now accepting submissions of angel stories for possible inclusion on her 'Tuesdays With The Angels' blog. She hopes to create a collection of angel stories that involve sightings of angels, interaction with angels, miraculous angel encounters and other types of accounts or stories. All submissions will be considered, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Stories may be submitted at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd.
The story that takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Bay, California and encompasses all Sharpe's attitudes about goodness, healing and moving on.
Jody is also the author of 'To Catch An Angel', written in memory of her late husband Steve. In 'To Catch An Angel', miracles happen in Mystic Bay, California, the town with the psychic and angel vibe. Angels are calling. Psychic Maggie Malone returns home to find she's swept up in the miracle of it all. She can't imagine why her mother left or who her father might be. But these questions pale in comparison to the wonder of the angels. Maggie meets writer, Noah Greenstreet. They realize they've met before, but where? Maggie and Noah embark on a journey to find our world is all awash with angels.
Jody was chosen as a winner in the annual '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading' Book Awards. She was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.
Sharpe's books have received a large number of rave reviews. A recent Amazon review stated, "This book would make a beautiful Christmas Hallmark movie. You will be left believing in Angels here on earth." Another said, "This a wonderful story that reminds us of the kindness and gentleness that exists in this world." Another stated, "Amazing. Most of all it is a feel good book and a must read.”
