Darryl Robidoux, Author of Home After Dark, Now Appearing On Authors Web TV

Darryl Robidoux’s new novel, Home After Dark, could be said to be a map to navigating our society, our jobs and our relationships to achieve balance. Through sharing the mistakes he has made, Robidoux sincerely hopes others will achieve success through lasting personal relationships, rather than through fleeting business connections.

Darryl Robidoux, author of Home After Dark, will be appearing on Authors Web TV through July 5, 2010

Home After Dark, published by Five Star Publications, could be said to be the book that many of us wished we had available to us as youngsters. The book is a delightfully frank telling of the life of a man who has lived outside the borders of mediocrity and yet achieves wealth and fame. However, after Mr. Robidoux achieves career success and wealth, he discovered that what was really important to him had been slipping away from his grasp all the while.

All men are imperfect. Some of those who become outrageously successful could be said to be more so. Home After Dark provides a penetrating glimpse into the life of one such man. Regardless of his imperfections, Darryl Robidoux manages to achieve the dreams, we all hold so dear. He overcomes fear, depression and failure during his rise to the top of America’s corporate ladder. He achieves wealth and prestige at age 40, but all the while, he is fighting personal regret and shame.

“I wrote Home After Dark,” said Mr. Robidoux, “to warn others about the pitfalls of unfortunate life decisions and to help them in balancing their ambitions related to a career and accumulation of wealth with their need for satisfying personal relationships. I hoped to provide an example of how any disadvantaged individual can rise above difficulties and to give a perspective on how life experiences contribute to fundamental happiness.”

“I also reveal intimate details of the early years of the computer industry in hopes that this would help others negotiate the complex demands of careers in high-tech industries and achieve a satisfying balance between their professional and personal lives.”

Mr. Robidoux's story, so richly detailed in Home After Dark, could be said to be a guide. It is a map to navigating our society, our careers and our relationships to finally achieve balance. Through sharing the mistakes he has made, Robidoux sincerely hopes others will find and achieve success through lasting personal relationships, rather than through fleeting business connections.

Mr. Robidoux will be a featured author on Author’s Web TV through June 5, 2010.

Profile:

Darryl Robidoux quit school and left home at age 16. He eventually joined the Army and became a member of the Army Airborne Paratroopers.

After leaving the military he joined the corporate world. During those years he worked for Norton Abrasives Int., IBM, NASA and the Atomic Energy Commission. Eventually he joined Xerox, studied at UCLA and retired at age 40. His personal life, however, ended up going in precisely the opposite direction, resulting in three failed marriages. It is only now that he has come to realize that real success is found in personal relationships and not in fleeting business relationships. It is this message he hopes to bring to his readership in Home After Dark.
