US Troops In Syria - Author Frances Fuller Believes Obama's Reluctance Is A Wise Approach
Frances Fuller author of the award-winner memoir 'In Borrowed Houses', recently expressed agreement with Fareed Zakaria and Eugene Robinson on President Obama’s reluctance to insert American troops into the war in Syria.
Fareed Zakaria said on CNN on October 18 that decades from now we will be glad that Barack Obama refrained from a more active role in Syria. Eugene Robinson in the Washington Post on Oct 5 wrote that Obama is right to be cautious about choosing friends in Syria and right to pursue a long-term goal in contrast to Putin’s short term plan.
Fuller confesses that the game of international intrigue is a subject on which she prefers to keep silent, her goal being to share the human face of the Middle East. “However, armies in countries that are not theirs turns out to be something I have experienced," Fuller stated. “During the civil war in Lebanon it became necessary to get through military checkpoints daily. Over time I engaged Palestinian militiamen, Syrian soldiers, the Israeli army, and the U.S. Marines. I had to learn to live with alien armies and observe the behavior and attitudes of people around me. I learned in the process that war can feel very personal. A man never forgets who killed his brother. A woman resents after a few days the roadblock of an alien army, even an army that claims to be protecting her home. From what I saw and heard, I believe that a bomb dropped is an enemy made, and a soldier in someone else’s street is not safe."
“It is likely that Russia will stay in Syria long enough to be sorry. I am certain that a bully with bullets is a temporary friend, not a leader."
As the result of her time spent as a missionary, Fuller wrote an award-winning book entitled 'In Borrowed Houses'. Told in short episodes, Fuller’s book reveals the alienation, confusion and courage of civilians in the Lebanese civil war, introducing to the reader a variety of real people with whom the author interacts: editors, salesmen, neighbors, refugees, soldiers, missionaries, lawyers, shepherds, artists, students. With these people she works, studies, plays games, prays, laughs and cries, all to the accompaniment of gunfire. Together these small stories tell what war is like for civilians caught on a battlefield, and they create the impression of the Lebanese as a fun-loving, witty, patient and resilient people. They also compose, not a political history, but a historical document of a time and a place.
Critics have praised ‘In Borrowed Houses.’ A judge in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards called 'In Borrowed Houses' “…a well written book full of compassion…a captivating story…”. Another reviewer described the book as “Wise, honest, sensitive, funny, heart-wrenching…”. Colin Chapman, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut said, “….western Christians and Middle Eastern Christians need to read this story…full of remarkable perceptiveness and genuine hope.”

Frances Fuller, Author Of Book About Lebanon, 'In Borrowed Houses', Questions US Apathy Toward Lebanon
Frances Fuller, award winning author of 'In Borrowed Houses', has denounced the U. S. State Department’s apathy toward Lebanon, asking, “How can we show so little concern for such a crucial country at this dangerous moment in history?”
In response to the U. S. government’s failure to appoint a new ambassador to succeed David Hale in Lebanon, Fuller wrote to the Middle East Bureau of the State Department to ask for reasons but received no answer to her question.
Fuller points out that the prominent English language newspaper, the Beirut Daily Star, suggested on August 22 that this failure implies apathy toward Lebanon. She stresses that Lebanon is deserving of U.S. attention, being not only the friendliest country in the Arabic-speaking world, but the most pluralistic in the Middle East and in a perilous situation. “While pressured on all sides by the conflict in Syria and struggling with internal weaknesses, Lebanon has absorbed refugees equal in number to one-third of its own population and requires political, financial and emotional support. Is this the way we treat our friends when they are in trouble? Lebanon needs an American ambassador, and if we are going to have any positive impact in the Middle East, we need our relationship with Lebanon,” Fuller says.
Dr. Richard Ruhling Releases Statement Regarding Surprising Choice For Next Pope
As the conclave to elect a new pope gets under way, speculation is rampant. Dr. Richard Ruhling, author of 'Apocalypse 2013: How To Survive The Fall Of America', believes God is not taken by surprise and the Bible offers clues that might surprise us--it might even take our breath away. Here he provides a number of clues suggesting the next pope could be the much-loved John Paul II.
1. The Bible likens governments to political cartoons described as beasts. In Revelation 13:1, the apostle John saw a beast with seven heads arising. Early Americans believed this beast was the papacy that they fled, seeking freedom in the New World.
Having seven heads, it compares with the seven kings in Revelation 17:10, because the head of the papal church wears a crown as a king. And one of the heads (kings) was "wounded to death," Revelation 13:3. Until Benedict, all recent popes have been wounded by death, but John Paul II had a wound by a would-be assassin, so he is identified, but the assassin's wound was not "to death." To be "wounded to death" and have his deadly wound healed implies a resurrection!
2. John Paul II was the sixth pope since Mussolini reinstated the papacy in the Vatican. As the sixth, he gets special attention in Revelation 17:10 where "five are fallen, one is [John Paul II] and the other is not yet come....and must continue a short space." Benedict was the "short space" [7th] pope.
3. The eighth is [one] "of the seven" in Revelation 17:11, but it does not specify which one. We might conclude that since John Paul II was so well recognized by the world, that it could be he.
4. A resurrection of John Paul II might best enable the description that after the deadly wound healed, "all the world wondered after the beast," Revelation 13:3.
5. Hours after Benedict announced that he would resign, lightning struck the Vatican. http://www.reuters.com/video/2013/02/18/lightning-strikes-vatican?videoId=241280928&view=241280928&sp=117764&refresh=true
This reminds us that Christ said, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." Luke 10:18. Perhaps we can see in this event the true identity of a resurrected John Paul II who will be charismatic, "sitting in the temple...showing himself that he is God," 2 Thessalonians 2:4.
6. There is strange activity below the Vatican where John Paul II is buried. A bright light filled the room on February 27 and expectations are high.

7. In a Vatican so beset by scandals in banking, pedophilia and homosexuality, the papacy offers a poor image to the world. How better to recover a deadly wound than a resurrection that only God would seem to be behind? It would be most amazing for the "Vicar of Christ" to be resurrected as Christ was, and it would solve some serious Vatican problems.
This information is not a condemnation of sincere Catholics who are following truth as they know it, but the scandals are an embarrassment to a false system. The Bible identifies the system as antichrist, in place of Christ, when it promises salvation and forgiveness of sins for payment of money that Christ paid for with his blood so that we owe Him everything and He becomes Lord of our lives. This cannot be cheapened by paying a priest and continuing in sin. "The times of this ignorance God winks at" (Acts 17:30,31), but we must repent and go by the Bible rather than traditions passed to us by who?

Dr. Richard Ruhling Announces Release Of New Book, Some Say Financial Collapse In 2012 With A Focus On The U.S. Debt; Many Believe America Is In Decline
Dr. Richard Ruhling announced today the release of his latest book, 'Wake Up America: How To Survive Change And Obama Without Guns, Money or Rapture'. The new book has been written to help Americans understand that both the Constitution and The 10 Commandments encourage all people to find the courage to do the right thing and to govern themselves - without the intervention of big government. Many Americans wonder about a financial collapse in 2012. Many are worried about the United States debt level. Many believe America is in decline.
Dr. Richard Ruhling, a retired physician, cites Pulitzer-prize winner Chris Hedges-- “We now live in a nation where doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the press destroys information, religion destroy morals, and our banks destroy the economy.”
What is financial crisis? Ruhling also cites the Chicapo Tribune--banks were given “3-6 months” notice by federal regulators of possible collapse, “emphasizing banks could not count on government help” meaning trouble could come between the election and inauguration. The US debt level is at its highest point in history. That financial crisis may be upon us now.
He also states that the federal government apparently believes trouble is impending because numerous sources report a buildup of troops and movement of tanks and armor across America. In the eyes of many, this is verifiable proof that America is in decline.
Obama's Executive Orders last March set off alarm bells with Congresswoman Kay Granger-- “President Obama issued an Executive Order that you should know about. This order gives an unprecedented level of authority to the President and the federal government to take over all the fundamental parts of our economy [even] force U.S. citizens to fulfill "labor requirements" for the purposes of "national defense." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYqwkNPZg
Ruhling believes things are so serious that it won't matter who wins the election. Humpty Dumpty cannot be put back together again. The US debt level, the economic crisis and the possibility of a financial collapse in 2012. Surviving the coming changes is at the forefront of the American consciousness.
More information is available at Dr. Ruhling's book website at http://WakeUpAmericaForTheEnd.com/the-book. 'Wake Up America: How To Survive Change And Obama Without Guns, Money or Rapture' will be available on Amazon's Kindle.'

Steven Kessler, Publisher And Editor-in-Chief Of Nopoli Network News (NNN) And Its Political News Website NoPoli.org Posts Open Letter To Obama

Kessler’s open letter invites President Obama to meet to discuss concerns regarding his performance to date. Kessler believes his letter represents the concerns of tens of millions of tax-paying American citizens and that those citizens deserve a response
Observing that President Obama spoke out against inappropriate political criticism in his recent University of Michigan commencement address, and after observing that he has been a registered Democrat for almost 50 years, and voted for President Obama in his presidential bid, Kessler goes on—in the politest of terms—to share his disappointment in the President’s performance to date.
Analogizing to the July 30, 2009 occasion when the President had black professor and white cop racial profiling disputants over to the White House to pursue their differences over a few beers, Kessler now invites the President to sit down with Kessler “at your place or mine” to discuss the concerns set forth in Kessler’s open letter to the President—which NNN’s board of editors believes represents the views of tens of millions Americans today.
“We voted for you,” Kessler stated in his letter, “because you promised ‘change.’ And ‘change’ was needed. We voted for you to be the leader of a new dawn. We took you at your word. We believed you. We wanted to believe you. So far, what we have received is just same ‘ol, same ‘ol political rhetoric and sound bites. No change there whatsoever.”
“‘We the people’ have respectfully reached out to the President in good faith,” stated Mr. Kessler, “we deserve a meeting with the President if he wants to be our genuine leader.”
Kessler even offers to bring the beer regardless of where the sit down is held. Will President Obama respond in kind—or at all—to this tasteful and good spirited outreach by this self-appointed representative of “we the people”?
For more information or to view the open letter, visit The National Organization For Political Integrity at http://www.nopoli.org. Questions may be addressed to SteveKessler@NoPoli.org.
NoPoli Network News (NNN) is the communications channel of The National Organization For Political Integrity (NoPoli). NoPoli will be sponsoring the first ever Social Media People’s Court, created to ‘indict’ politicians and put them on ‘trial’ through popular vote of ‘we the people’.

As Obama Raises The Education Bar, Dr. Joyce Teal's Trilogy Offers 100 Practical Solutions For Adolescents
Dr. Joyce Teal’s 'Don’t Sweat It Kid' series demonstrates that getting off to a good start early is the key to success in later life
President Obama has suggested that states begin to broaden their standards of proficiency for schools beyond math and reading skills. Obama hopes that schools will become creative in providing more life skills to youth. The goal is to prepare students not only to graduate from high school, but to set children on the path to success in both life and career. Dr. Joyce Teal has developed a program that can help accomplish that goal.
Her trilogy, ‘Don’t Sweat It Kid’, has been designed to accomplish this goal. “This trilogy,” stated Dr. Teal, “will help adolescents get a grip on the reality that they do not have to sweat the small stuff, and with the realization that most of it is small stuff. The series contains 100 topics relevant to the lives of adolescents and are loaded with information that will provoke thought and affect positive changes in adolescents' behavior and way of thinking regarding ordinary occurrences and experiences in their lives.”
Don’t Sweat It, Kid consists of three volumes that are loaded with information and scenarios that are designed to provoke thought and affect positive changes in the behavior and way of thinking about ordinary occurrences and experiences in the lives of young people, ages eleven through eighteen.
Don’t Sweat It, Kid is the first of three volumes. It consists of the first 33 of 100 topics that the three volumes contain. Volume 2, Hang in There, Kid, consists of topics 34 through 65. Volume 3, entitled Just Do It, Kid consists of topics 66 through 100. These 100 topics have been chosen because of their pertinence to the life of young people. Youth are encouraged to read the trilogy with an open mind and to share it with a friend. It can potentially help them to become a better person, a more giving family member and a wonderful role model for the younger kids who are part of their world.
“The 'Dont Sweat It, Kid' Series," stated Dr. Teal, “will assist adolescents with problem-solving solutions to problems they frequently encounter. Our hope is to make this series available to children through schools systems and libraries throughout the United States and other English speaking countries. The series represents one answer to the problems faced by our youth and can serve to get our youth started down the path to success both now and in the future.”
Dr. Teal is available for interview and can be reached using the contact information below.
Joyce Willard Teal is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. She is an award-winning retired teacher. She has taught school in Dallas for six years, but her career path has taken her through New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Virginia where she taught community college and reading/language arts to boys and girls in the public schools.
Mrs. Teal began writing professionally in 1993 and has had several award-winning poems published. Her first book, It’s O.K. To Be Different, was written for boy and girls between the ages of nine and fifteen, but has universal appeal and is being read by children as well as adults. It is now in its fourth printing.
Don’t Sweat It Kid is Volume 1 of a trilogy. The three volumes contain 100 topics relevant to the lives of adolescents. Volume 1 contains topics 1-33; Volume 2 contains topics 34-65; Volume 3 contains topics 66-100. The trilogy was written for young people between the ages of eleven and eighteen, (middle grade through high school). It focuses on topics relevant to their lives and discusses positive ways to help them cope with situations they face day to day.
