Dr. Nicole is a multi-award winning best-selling author, based in Quebec. She writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons.
Multi-award-winning children's book author Dr. Nicole has announced the release of a new book in the Felix and Booboo Series, 'Lucas Has An Earache'. The new book is one of a series of eight books that address medical issues and make them understandable for young children. The goal is to increase the child's understanding of his body and to help eliminate fear of diseases. This series is also available in French (Félix et Boubou) in paperback, Kindle and PDF versions.
In this book Lucas, Felix’s cousin, cannot swim because he has an ear infection. Fortunately, Felix and his magical medical instruments have a good solution to fight the bacteria responsible for this infection. This story reveals the secrets of otitis. This book will help children understand the issues surrounding earaches and will help them understand that suffering from otitis is normal for many people and is no cause for alarm. The book includes a quiz at the end to further the understanding of the child in regards to allergies.
"My true intentions regarding writing this series are to inspire children to read, to set their imaginations free and to encourage good decision-making regarding health, safety and critical thinking," Dr. Nicole stated. " Writing children’s books is a way for me to give back and be a positive resource to the community. It is a way that I can positively express myself while having some fun and at the same time be a positive role model for both children and caregivers. I hope that my books inspire children to set their minds free and work to make the world a better place. Otitis are frequent children’s disease. My intention was to explain this disease to children and their care givers."
In addition to otitis, other subjects covered in the series include gastroenteritis, broken bones, head lice, allergies, the human body, vaccinations and chickenpox. All of the books in the series can be used by educators and medical professionals to help kids understand that these types of conditions are normal and are not to be feared or avoided.
In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Through the parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking. If a child can master the art of critical thinking, nearly everything else falls into place.
Dr. Nicole’s books have won numerous international awards. A full listing of the awards can be found on her website.
'Lucas Has An Earache' has received Readers’ Favorite 5 stars. The reviewer Edith Wairimu wrote, "Lucas Has an Earache by Dr. Nicole Audet is definitely an interesting story for all young readers. Many young children find a visit to the doctor a daunting and frightening experience. However, Dr. Nicole Audet finds a creative and imaginative way of making the visits more fun and less scary. In this particular book, some of the most common instruments used in a hospital for children are explained and their functions elaborated upon. The questions incorporated at the end of the story are spot on. They will definitely enhance readers' comprehension of the function of each medical instrument, particularly in the case of ear ailments. Additionally, the illustrations by Mylène Villeneuve are interesting and innovative. Overall, the idea behind the book, 'Lucas Has an Earache' by Dr. Nicole Audet, is simply brilliant and the execution even more accurate and enthralling."
Dr. Nicole also received recognition as one of Quebec's Top 10 Women by the Maman Dion Foundation. The Maman Dion foundation was founded by Thérèse Tanguay-Dion, known as Maman Dion, a television personality and the Céline Dion’s mother. The Maman Dion Foundation is an educational foundation that provides support to underprivileged children in the form of clothing, eyewear and school supplies.

Award Winning Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Announces Latest Book In Felix And Booboo Series, 'Maya's Head Is Itching'
Dr. Nicole is a multi-award winning best-selling author, based in Quebec. She writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons.
Multi-award-winning children's book author Dr. Nicole has announced the release of a new book in the Felix and Booboo Series, 'Maya's Head Is Itching'. The goal is to increase the child's understanding of his body and to help eliminate fear of diseases. This series is also available in French (Félix et Boubou) in paperback, Kindle and PDF versions.
In this exciting adventure, Felix and his magical medical instruments hunt down Maya’s head lice. Booboo, the captain of the instruments, tells Maya all about head lice. This book will help children understand the issues surrounding head lice, including how modern medicine cures the head lice problem. A quiz at the end of the book challenges the child’s reading skills.
"My true intentions regarding writing this series are to inspire children to read, to set their imaginations free and to encourage good decision-making regarding health, safety and critical thinking," Dr. Nicole stated. 'Maya's Head Is Itching' has received 5 stars from readers and reviewers. Vernita Taylor, in a Readers Favorite review, stated, "This book is so wonderfully presented because it takes the child on a journey into learning about head lice and all of the steps and processes that go into ridding one of head lice. I see this book as if Dr. Audet herself was sitting down and explaining the process of head lice to the child. This book offers a great solution for helping the child to not only understand, but to share with their friends. As a part of the Felix and Booboo Series, your child will never stop learning about the various things that the body experiences - from chickenpox and earache to feeling sick. Add this book to your library; you won't regret it."

Saving Our Children From A Dire Future - Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Offers The One Solution To The Many Problems Our Children Will Face
Dr. Nicole is a best-selling author, based in Quebec, who writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons.
Our children face issues that we have never faced - global warming, potential famine, water shortages and a host of other issues that are not just urgent - they threaten their very existence. Are our children being taught the skills that will allow them to thrive? To survive? How can we prepare our children and grandchildren for situations with which we have had very little or even no experience? How can we show them the way, when we don't even know the way?
Simply put, we must teach them critical thinking skills. For without the ability to solve new unexpected problems, there may be little hope. Rote memorization of facts or test taking skills will accomplish very little in regards to preparing children for the future. It is instead necessary to instill in our children and grandchildren the desire and the ability to solve problems through critical thinking.
Dr. Nicole writes children's books. In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Dr. Nicole holds a Master's Degree in Critical Thinking Evaluation and a Master's Degree in Medical Education - Université Laval. Her thesis was entitled, "How to measure critical reading in medical students." She published the result in two international peer reviewed medical journals.

Through parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking. While her children's book are very successful, few people know that she has received international acclaim and awards for books that help adults develop critical thinking skills.
Dr. Nicole holds a Master's Degree in Critical Thinking Evaluation and a Master's Degree in Medical Education - Université Laval. Her thesis was entitled, "How to measure critical reading in medical students." She published the result in two international peer reviewed medical journals.

Children's Book Author Dr Nicole Announces Two Books Selected for Children's Literary Classics Seal of Approval
Dr. Nicole is a best-selling author, based in Quebec, who writes children’s books that educate, inspire and teach valuable life lessons
Multi-award winning Canadian children’s book author Dr. Nicole has announced that two of her bilingual children's picture books have received the Children's Literary Classics Seal of Approval. 'Are You Eating My Lunch?/Manges-tu mon lunch?' and 'Strike At Charles’ Farm/Grève à la ferme de Charles' were both selected to receive the Seal of Approval. Children’s Literary Classics, an organization dedicated to furthering excellence in children’s literature, takes great pride in its role to help promote classic children's literature which appeals to youth while educating and encouraging positive values in the impressionable young minds of future generations. The CLC Seal of Approval is a designation reserved for those books which uphold the rigorous criteria set forth by the Children's Literary Classics review committee, a team comprised of individuals with backgrounds in publishing, editing, writing, illustration and graphic design.
Sadly, critical thinking is not always taught to young children.
"As a family doctor, I often give books to my young patients," Dr. Nicole stated. "For some of them, it is their first book. Some studies say that you should read books to your child even before his first birthday. I am proud to announce that my French popular series of 8 picture books called Félix and Boubou give live to a magical doctor suitcase and nine instruments. I am happy to announce that the first picture book of Jason and Lubdub series Lice Hunting will be soon available in English. The publication of other books on gastroenteritis, chickenpox, otitis, allergies, chickenpox, broken arm and the magical human body should follow."
Dr. Nicole’s books have won numerous other awards. 'Parents for Sale', was a Bronze Medal winner in the 2015 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Contest in the Children - Animals category. Other awards include 2015 Purple Dragonfly Books Award: Chapters Book: Honorable Mention; 2015 New York Book Festival: Children’s Book: Honorable Mention and the 2015 Hollywood Book Festival: Children’s Book: Honorable Mention. 'Parents for Sale' is Story Monster Approved, and has received a 5 Star rating from Readers’ Favorite. In addition to the Children's Literary Classics Seal of Approval and the recent Mom's Choice Award, 'Strike At Charles' Farm /Grève à la ferme de Charles’ was named a runner-up in the 2015 Animals, Animals, Animals Book Awards and received an Honorable Mention; 2015 New England Book Festival. It also received 3 5 Star reviews from Readers’ Favorite. 'Are You Eating My Lunch?/Manges-tu mon lunch?' has also received five 5 Star reviews from Readers’ Favorite and took a Mom's Choice Silver Award.
