God Helps Us Whether We Believe Or Not - Pat Chafant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights' And Former Skeptic, Offers Evidence

Oregon Spiritualist Medium Pat Chalfant's amazing psychic gifts have helped hundreds of individuals worldwide

The belief in a power outside of us is a divisive issue. Most people come down hard on one side of the fence or the other in spiritual matters. The percentage of non-believers is growing at a steady rate, as a number of surveys have shown. If there is a God, does that God care whether or not we believe in a Supreme Power? Does belief matter? Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights- A Path To Mediumship', believes the answer is perhaps no.

"Many years ago," Pat stated, "when I wasn’t sure I believed in God, a day suddenly came when I urgently needed His help—or someone’s—only there was nobody with me. I froze.  I didn’t know where to turn or what to do.  Then something reminded the skeptic in me that I had read somewhere that God will help us when we desperately need help whether we believe in Him or not.  The written remark had also advised that He can’t help unless we ask Him for help."

"The situation was so urgent that I bowed my head then and there sitting at my kitchen table.  Completely paralyzed with fear by then, I mentally said, “Dear God, if there is a God, I really need help and I need it right away.”  Body, mind and spirit were almost completely numb.  I waited for what seemed an eternity, but was probably no more than a few seconds.  Suddenly, as if a voice impressed itself on my mind, I was told  clearly what I needed to do.  It was a simple thing—I had to get myself into the shower so I would be virtually covered with water."

"It did the trick.  My runaway feelings that had been uncontrollably escalating began slowly to retreat. Then, after awhile, I was at peace.  It was over and I have never since felt such fear again in my whole life."

"It was many years before I would learn, as I eventually studied to become a medium, that the way to rid yourself of an unwanted spirit is to submerge yourself in water.  If you have a swimming pool handy that’s even better than a shower because you can cover yourself completely with water, but a shower will do.  Had I drawn a rogue spirit to me with my anger?   I only knew that I was in control again.  I think that I thanked God for His amazing help that day.  I am absolutely certain though that I knew from then on that it was true that you could ask God for His help and get it, whether you believed in Him or not."

"I want to point out that when I decided to pray for God’s help (not sure He really did exist), I was using my free will.  God gave us this free will expressly so that we would come to want His companionship and so he would not need to demand that we communicate with Him or force us to ask for His advice and help for our life’s problems. I believe that in large part since I decided to test the quote I remembered in my hour of need about God giving us help when we were desperate for help, if we would only ask Him for it, my companionship with God has grown steadily via my free will through the last 50 years very slowly but very surely."

"I’ve watched many people through the years discouraging others from believing we each possess God’s gift to us all of free will.  Instead they have often presented vivid television and movie images of “evil” spirits surprising people, rushing at them through the air, hiding behind trees and in dark places, then jumping out at them, etc., when what they really should have been depicting was that God has given us free will and that all that’s necessary to procure his help when we are in need is to simply say, 'Dear God, I need Your help…' and he will get us out of whatever trouble we may be in."

"If you are the skeptic that I was before all this happened, I can imagine you’re saying by now, 'Bah, Humbug!  There is no such thing as God and certainly not some gift from Him that lets us receive help by simply saying, God, I need your help, please help me,' but I have had that assurance for 50 years.  It is my privilege to be able to write these words to you about this, just as that nameless, faceless writer once wrote in some forgotten piece I read that God would save me if I prayed and asked him for help.  Remember this.  It could save your life or somebody else’s.  It can also literally bring you happiness that you could never have anticipated.  It did that for me."

'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how Pat, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

Psychics, Mediums And Life After Death: Pat Chalfant, Author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', Offers Guidance

Is there proof of life after death? Pat Chalfant, a credentialed Spiritualist medium, offers convincing proof

The belief in an afterlife offers hope to a very large percentage of the human race. But where is the proof? Unfortunately, without verifiable evidence, we are forced to rely on faith and hope. That opens the door for deception, as there are many people who are more than willing to play off our fear of death in exchange for money. Movies, television shows, psychics, and many other forms of entertainment, masquerading as mediumship, attempt to sensationalize contact with the 'other side'. Unfortunately many people believe that's reality. Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights, A Path To Mediumship', urges people to be cautious, as true mediumship is another thing altogether.

"I realize," Pat stated, "that society’s collective belief about mediums has been largely based on television shows that have purportedly described the lives of real, working mediums, but were actually concocted by writers and producers whose only purpose was to produce fast-paced, terrifying shows that made money, while ignoring the reality of the lives and purposes of true mediums."

"I am a Spiritualist medium.  Everything I do as a medium is solidly based on my certainty that we continue to live after death.  Spiritualists call this concept 'The Continuity of Life.' As a result, each time I do a reading for someone, I know I am likely to receive a vivid image or verbal description that will identify a 'dead' person to my living client, something that can convince him that someone he cared for in life is still alive and well on the Other Side."

"One Sunday as I gave readings in the message part of the worship service in our church, The Chapel of the Flowers, in Panorama City, CA, I saw a beautiful vase, very delicate and fragile.  I described it to the young man I was reading for and he thanked me, then explained that the vase I described  was the one his beloved spiritual teacher, who had since passed away, had given him years before.   It meant to him that she was there that day and wanted him to know she was.  It was like a special spiritual reunion and he and I were both deeply touched."

"The difference between the Christian belief that we continue to live after death (based on Jesus’ return after his crucifixion), and the Spiritualist’s belief in the Continuity of Life is that mediums routinely bring actual evidence of life after death to clients and/or church members while those predicting life after death who are not mediums have no 'proof' to offer."

"I can think of no more exciting prospect in life than my daily anticipation of perhaps delivering such proof to people, knowing that I can give them spiritual inspiration by bringing evidence of life after death.  I thank God (Spirit) daily because by renewing someone else’s belief in eternal life, perhaps even making them believers for the first time, God works through us to take away the most  widespread, debilitating emotion in the world — mankind’s fear of death.  I can’t imagine a greater purpose to have in this world  than that."

The Difference Between Psychics And Mediums: Pat Chalfant, Author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', Offers Guidance

Many people are confused by the terms 'psychic' and 'medium'. Pat Chalfant, a credentialed Spiritualist medium, offers guidance and advice

For most of us, the words 'psychic' and 'medium' seem to be interchangeable. That, however, is not the case. There are many differences and they are important.  Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights, A Path To Mediumship', offers some broad and general rules to help others understand the difference.

"All the mediums I have known through the years," Chalfant stated, "have worked as mediums in Spiritualist churches. The following list compares the ways that all the mediums I’ve known have done their work and the ways that psychics (crystal ball readers, tarot and angel card readers, rune readers, etc.) typically work for the public:"

•    Mediums must take classes then pass tests before becoming legally credentialed mediums; psychics sometimes take “psychic” classes, but aren’t required to.
•    Mediums give their readings typically in a spiritual atmosphere, usually a Spiritualist church; psychics usually give their readings in non-spiritual spaces.
•    Mediums give readings to prove the continuity of life (life after death); psychics typically just attempt to foretell their clients’ earthly futures.
•    Mediums pass a plate for donations when giving weekly messages within a Spiritualist church service; psychics rent space then sell their readings at set fees.

"As with everything else on earth," Chalfant concluded, "there are always exceptions to the rules, but broadly speaking, these things are characteristic of the behavior of mediums versus psychics."

Meditation is extremely important in mediumship development. Pat reveals that she has had several different guides for reading work through the years and she feels that because she initially established her connection with her first guide in the proper way, through meditation in a development class, her communication with each successive guide has always been clear and very effective.

'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how Pat, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Psychic VS Medium: Pat Chalfant, Spiritualist Medium And Author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', Offers Insight

Chalfant offers mediumship classes to help others develop mediumship in both classroom settings and via the Internet. Meditation plays a key role in mediumship development

For many people, the titles 'psychic' and 'medium' mean much the same thing. There is a great deal of confusion regarding what differentiates a psychic from a medium.

Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights, A Path To Mediumship', states that the difference between a psychic and a medium is that Spiritualist mediums meditate to connect with a spirit guide in the development classes that they are required to take in order to become credentialed. They subsequently get all their reading information from that guide.

Psychics, however, do not study meditation in development classes to connect with spirit guides.  They believe they get their information only through energy, vibrations, sometimes by laying out cards, reading palms, runes, etc., but not through a spirit guide.

“Because psychics are convinced that they are not guided by spirits, they tend to operate under the false impression that they can’t be,” Pat instructed.  “Actually, it’s easy for ignorant or rogue spirits to join a psychic who is giving a reading without being detected.  Rogue spirits resemble delinquent children on earth who hang out on street corners looking for unsuspecting passersby to heckle or take advantage of.  So because most psychics believe they can only receive their information through vibrations, sensings, reading cards and such, they can easily be tricked by ignorant or rogue spirits.  This kind of spirit sees the psychic going into a semi-altered state of consciousness, the light around her shining more brightly, as she concentrates on doing a reading and he causes mischief by surreptitiously slipping his ”two-cents worth” into the psychic’s consciousness and thus into her reading.  Because he doesn’t have the training that a medium’s spirit guide receives, he can’t work accurately with any reader, so his contribution to the psychic’s reading will probably not be very appropriate or evidential.”

“Before I could even begin to build a working relationship with my first spirit guide,” Pat revealed, “mysterious visions began to trouble me and I wondered if they could be what I had only heard about in past-life classes but had never experienced--panic attacks.  A friend who had been a medium for many years said she had once had a similar experience and suggested that perhaps it might be an ignorant spirit trying to influence me.  My friend suggested I should stop doing anything with mediumship for awhile.  I took that advice and the attacks disappeared almost immediately.”

“Months later,” Pat said, “a gifted medium was at the Spiritualist church I regularly attended and I had a reading from her.  She was there for just that weekend  to help our church by volunteering her time to work in our psychic fair.  She confirmed that my ‘panic attacks’ had indeed been generated by a rogue spirit.  That spirit apologized through the medium for having targeted me and for causing me such grief.  He promised never to do it again.  I didn’t have any more ‘panic attacks’ from that day forward.”

“It’s been about 20 years since that incident,” she says, “and I am now actually glad that it happened because, as well as doing readings, I teach mediumship and I feel well-qualified to advise students who may wonder what an attack by an ignorant or rogue spirit is like. It’s difficult to even believe that such a thing ever actually happened to me now, but it did and it can be a help to those who are studying mediumship and want to learn how to do it safely, so I now look at it as a blessing in disguise.”

Pat reveals that she has had several different guides for reading work through the years and she feels that because she initially established her connection with her first guide in the proper way, through meditation in a development class, her communication with each successive guide has always been clear and very effective.  Her symbols, which never change in meaning or in appearance regardless of which guide delivers them to her, have continued to allow Pat to give the same reliable information for readings that the symbols represented when she and her first guide established them together.  The meditative process that mediums and their guides go through is all extremely orderly and each new guide learns the lexicon of symbols Pat uses so there is always continuity of communication from one guide to the next.  So, as she describes herself in the opening of her book, she is now definitely a textbook medium!

'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how she, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

In addition to offering one-on-one client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book' and three of those songs are in the National Spiritualist Association of Churches hymn book. Meditation And Light On The Path To Mediumship Is The Focus Of Author Pat Chalfant's Book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship'

Chalfant offers mediumship classes to help others develop mediumship in both classroom settings and via the Internet. She believes meditation is vital to the development of mediumship

Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', believes meditation is the path to mediumship. She hopes to reveal the true face of mediumship and feels that nothing does that more effectively than pointing out the routine use of meditation in mediumship studies. The experience of seeing light during meditation is one of the hallmarks of progress.

"Usually, one of the first things we develop when we study mediumship," Chalfant stated, "is the ability to see lights in meditation either with eyes open or with eyes closed.  More often it will happen for the meditator when his eyes are closed.  Having it happen with eyes open is less common.  Whenever anyone tells me he/she see lights in my darkened development class, I am fairly certain that this person is on the way to developing mediumship."

"Students will also announce in our 'sharing time' after meditation that they have seen colors.  Actually, the two are usually interchangeable because the lights can be various colors. So that I won’t discourage anyone who may not 'see' anything at first in meditation, I always temper the mention of lights and colors appearing early on by saying that it doesn’t have to be light that is seen first, but that quite frequently, it is. Those lights may be tiny, large, stationary, moving, or what one student described as a guiding light.  They will be white or many-colored or only one color, but nevertheless, light(s).  Recently, she’s been adding that this may even be what engendered the concept of “light workers.”  Light definitely precedes or else comes along at some later stage in our progression through meditation into mediumship."

"Those who know about the work of the Seer of Virginia Beach, Edgar Cayce, may know that his son, Hugh Lynn Cayce, stated that meditation is valuable because the light we begin to see in meditation is the same light that we are so often encouraged to remember to look for when we die.  So if you are a meditator, not only will the light you see in meditation tell you that you are taking your first steps toward becoming a medium, but also that the path you will then be on is the same as the one that we each use to pass to the Other Side of Life. This is how we begin to discover that life continues after death and that we are Spiritual beings."

Special attention is given to meditation at the end of each lesson in Pat’s book as well as in a long piece about meditation at the beginning of the workbook section at the back of her book.

'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how she, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Meditation Is The Path To Mediumship Says Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship'

Chalfant offers mediumship classes to help others develop mediumship in both classroom settings and via the Internet. She believes meditation is vital to the development of spirituality and mediumship. 'Spirit Lights' reveals the true face of mediumship

Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', believes meditation is the path to mediumship. This was true for Pat and all of the other mediumship students she has known, including, of course those who have studied with her.  She shows in her book “Spirit Lights a Path to Mediumship” how mediumship is developed through meditation in Spiritualist development classes.  She  says that, since its inception in 1850, Spiritualism has been turning out  reliable mediums, and it was this long history with the development of mediumship that led her to study with them.  She started studying in a Spiritualist church development class after realizing that she was receiving images of events that subsequently came to pass in her life.  Since previously she had never seen any images at all, much less predictive ones, it got her attention.

After Pat had studied for half a dozen years, she began reading as well as teaching in the Spiritualist church regularly, and has also taught privately for 20 years since then both in a brick and mortar classroom and, as she currently teaches, online.  She doesn’t think that the average person is aware that mediumship requires a knowledge of meditation and believes that more people should understand that the development of spirituality is vital to mediumship and meditation is basic to that.  It is also the basis for her other primary interest, past lives, as well.

She would like to reveal the true face of mediumship and feels that nothing does that more effectively than pointing out the routine use of meditation in mediumship studies.  Mediums must constantly  attempt to improve themselves in every way, but especially spiritually, thus their emphasis on meditation.

Special attention is given to meditation at the end of each lesson in Pat’s book as well as in a long piece about meditation at the beginning of the workbook section at the back of her book.  An editor working with her on the book complained that there was ”too much God” in the book. She grudingly removed some references.

"There can never be too much God in books or in anything else in this world," Pat stated, "since the basic energy of our universe IS God."

Chalfant's new book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how she, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

Suicide And Suicide Prevention: Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights', Offers A Unique Perspective

Robin Williams' suicide brought the subject of consciously choosing death to the forefront of our collective consciousness. Pat Chalfant reminds us that suicide is not necessarily the end and that there is hope for those whose lives have been affected by suicide

Suicide statistics are staggering. According to the CDC website, suicide is ranked in 10th place in leading causes of death. These sobering statistics show us that no group - regardless of age, race or gender - is unaffected. Pat Chalfant, CARE Certified medium and author of 'Spirit Lights A Path to Mediumship' believes suicide is not the end of one's existence. Like Pat, many people believe this to be the case. Chalfant however offers proof.

"I have a story in the beginning of my book," Chalfant stated, "about a woman named Sonia whose fiancé committed suicide and subsequently she began to have suicidal ideology, too.  She got in touch with me hoping to  study with me until she was able to contact him on the Other Side of life for herself.  I gave her a reading first and successfully identified him as a spirit trying to reach her, and because of that she asked to study with me.  I told her she probably wouldn’t learn enough to be able to reach him for quite some time.  She said she still wanted to try."

"She was miraculously cured of her suicidal ideology one day as she and I were meditating together when she saw her fiancé and knew he was alive now and perfectly well and happy.  Then she saw Jesus Christ (remarkable because she was a Hindu and had never read the Christian Bible). The effects of that experience lingered so strongly with her for weeks afterward that she could close her eyes and would see the image of Christ’s face, just as he had looked when she was 'cured'.”

Chalfant's new book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how she, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. She considers her groundbreaking book to be an "autobiographical textbook".

Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored. This is especially true for those who are contemplating suicide, or those whose lives have been affected by suicide or loss of a loved one.

In addition to offering one-on-one client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book' and three of those songs are in the National Spiritualist Ass’n of Churches hymn book. She does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Psychic Development DVD'.

"The book would be an ideal Holiday gift for those who need some inspiration or a lift of Spirit during the Holiday Season," Chalfant stated. "This time of year can be difficult for some people. The book would be a great gift for those who hope to take their budding mediumship abilities to the next level. Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights, Offers Alternative Solution To Those Who Might Be Considering Suicide

According to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention's 2012 Annual Report, there are 38,000 suicides in the US annually. While many people see no other option, Chalfant believes there are options and those options are available to anyone

According to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention's 2012 Annual Report, there are 38,000 suicides in the US annually. Another source claims that this makes suicide the 10th leading cause of death in the US. These numbers are staggering.

Regardless of form, a sense of hopelessness lies at the very heart of the desire to end one's life through suicide. Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights, A Path To Mediumship', believes that death is not the end, but is instead a transition. In her work she has observed that hopelessness can be turned into hope when life and death are viewed in their proper perspectives.

"Recently a woman I was giving an initial reading to told me she had cried all day long for many weeks because she feared she might kill herself," Chalfant stated. "I began to tell her about an earlier client of mine, Sonya, who had also had suicidal thoughts, and about Sonya’s fiancé who had not been able to overcome his suicidal thoughts and actually did kill himself.  I had read for Sonya and contacted her deceased fiancé.  That made Sonya want to study mediumship so that she might perhaps contact her deceased fiancé for herself through mediumship, even though I told her that it might be a long time before she developed enough to do that. Sonya and I were in class together one day and when we reached the end of the final part of the class, the general meditation, I closed the meditation by inquiring if Sonya whose eyes were still closed was aware of being in class; she replied that she was but immediately began telling me that she had never had such a wonderful experience before."

"I asked what she meant and she proceeded to tell me what she had seen and heard and how she had been completely healed of her suicidal fears starting with the fact that she had seen her fiancé and that he looked as if he were alive and she could see for herself that he was, indeed, alive and well.  What happened after that was that she was healed in the most remarkable way, one I could never have imagined.  My book tells the reader this blessed story in the chapter titled, “A Visit During a Tutorial…"  What happened saved Sonya’s life.  I hope it will be as health-giving for readers as it has been for me and others."

Chalfant has also written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper.

Chalfant's groundbreaking new book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how a skeptic developed mediumship abilities and took her life down a path to a life transformed by the spiritual. She considers the book to be an "autobiographical textbook."

Pat understands that mediumship is a controversial issue, but also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored. This is especially true for those who are contemplating suicide, or whose lives have been affected by suicide.

In addition to client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book'. She also does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Psychic Development DVD'.

Suicide And The Other Side: Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights', Offers Hope To Those Who Suffer

The suicide of Robin Williams has brought suicide into the forefront of our collective consciousness again. Pat Chalfant, CARE Certified Medium, reminds us that suicide is not necessarily the end of one's existence and that there is hope

Suicide statistics are sobering. According to the CDC website, suicide is ranked in 10th place in leading causes of death. The death of Robin Williams by suicide has reminded us that a staggering number of people not only contemplate suicide - many follow through. These statistics demonstrate that no age, race or gender is unaffected. Even those fortunate few who 'have it all' are not immune. Pat Chalfant, CARE Certified medium and author of 'Spirit Lights A Path to Mediumship' believes those who attempt to 'end it all' cannot possibly put a stop to their own existence.

"She was miraculously cured of her suicidal ideology and believed that when she and I were meditating together, she saw her fiancé and knew he was alive now and perfectly well and happy.  Then she saw Jesus Christ (remarkable because she was a Hindu and had never read the Christian Bible. The effects of that experience lingered so strongly with her for weeks afterward that she could close her eyes and would see the image of Christ’s face, just as he had looked when she was 'cured'.”

“Often overlooked about the benefits of studying mediumship is that meditation is basic to its development," Chalfant stated. "So the mediumship student develops a path to relaxation and peace of mind which are inevitable outcomes of meditation.  For the same reason the student achieves greater powers of concentration.  A positive state of mind is stressed, too, for good, safe mediumship, so the student’s outlook becomes increasingly optimistic.  Students have also told me their self-confidence grew after studying mediumship.”

In addition to client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book'. She also does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Psychic Development DVD'.

Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights', Teaches Others How To Develop Mediumship Abilities

A recent piece in the New York Times on the passing of Kenny Kingston, psychic to the stars, quoted Kingston in a 2011 LA Times piece when he said ". . .there are not the psychics that there used to be." Pat Chalfant disagrees

"Psychic To The Stars" Kenny Kingston, died on June 30th at the age of 87. Kingston's fame as a psychic during the 1970's was unparalleled. He performed readings for many media stars, was a regular guest on some of the most popular television shows of the day and built a multimillion dollar business around his psychic abilities.  In response to a question about changes in the business by The Los Angeles Times in 2011 he replied, “You know, sweet spirit, there are not the psychics that there used to be.”

Pat Chalfant, author of “Spirit Lights a Path to Mediumship,” respectfully disagrees with Kenny Kingston’s 2011 comment that there aren’t the psychics there once were.  “Large  numbers of good mediums," Chalfant stated, "are coming out of classes like my Spirit Lights classes these days."

Chalfant, a CARE-certified medium, has written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper. She also occasionally attended Kingston's weekly meetings in Studio City, CA.

Chalfant's groundbreaking new book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how a skeptic developed mediumship abilities and took her life down a path to a life transformed by the spiritual. She considers the book to be an "autobiographical textbook."

"For those who hope to develop mediumship, my book can help readers do that. And, because of the many amazing true stories in it, I predict readers will be entertained as well.”

Pat understands that mediumship is a controversial issue, but also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

Pat Chalfant, Medium And Author Of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship' Now Appearing On The Authors Show

Chalfant is a a CARE-certified medium, has written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper

Pat Chalfant, author and CARE-certified medium, is now appearing on The Authors Show. In the interview she discusses her latest work 'Spirit Lights: A Path To Mediumship'. Pat has over 40 years of practical experience, and her list of repeat clients has grown steadily during the past 10 years, since she first went online in the year 2000. Pat's amazing psychic gifts have helped hundreds of individuals worldwide navigate life's uncertain, constantly changing waters, and Pat continues to steadily, patiently and calmly pass along profound spiritual insights to her phone reading clients regarding their future - especially concerning love, money, career paths, and other deeply personal subjects. Her clients come from all walks of life - including famous rock stars, unknown office workers, and everyday stay-at-home moms.

Chalfant's groundbreaking book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', answers questions such as:

How does a psychic differ from a medium?
Should I become a medium?
Can mediums prove life continues after death?
What was the origin of mediumship?

It is, as the author says, an “autobiographical textbook.” It explains how a skeptic developed mediumship abilities and took her life down a path to a life transformed by the spiritual.

Pat understands that mediumship is a controversial issue, but also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

“Often overlooked about the benefits of studying mediumship is that meditation is basic to its development," Chalfant stated.
