Meditation Is The Path To Mediumship Says Pat Chalfant, Author Of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship'

Chalfant offers mediumship classes to help others develop mediumship in both classroom settings and via the Internet. She believes meditation is vital to the development of spirituality and mediumship. 'Spirit Lights' reveals the true face of mediumship

Pat Chalfant, author of 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', believes meditation is the path to mediumship. This was true for Pat and all of the other mediumship students she has known, including, of course those who have studied with her.  She shows in her book “Spirit Lights a Path to Mediumship” how mediumship is developed through meditation in Spiritualist development classes.  She  says that, since its inception in 1850, Spiritualism has been turning out  reliable mediums, and it was this long history with the development of mediumship that led her to study with them.  She started studying in a Spiritualist church development class after realizing that she was receiving images of events that subsequently came to pass in her life.  Since previously she had never seen any images at all, much less predictive ones, it got her attention.

After Pat had studied for half a dozen years, she began reading as well as teaching in the Spiritualist church regularly, and has also taught privately for 20 years since then both in a brick and mortar classroom and, as she currently teaches, online.  She doesn’t think that the average person is aware that mediumship requires a knowledge of meditation and believes that more people should understand that the development of spirituality is vital to mediumship and meditation is basic to that.  It is also the basis for her other primary interest, past lives, as well.

She would like to reveal the true face of mediumship and feels that nothing does that more effectively than pointing out the routine use of meditation in mediumship studies.  Mediums must constantly  attempt to improve themselves in every way, but especially spiritually, thus their emphasis on meditation.

Special attention is given to meditation at the end of each lesson in Pat’s book as well as in a long piece about meditation at the beginning of the workbook section at the back of her book.  An editor working with her on the book complained that there was ”too much God” in the book. She grudingly removed some references.

"There can never be too much God in books or in anything else in this world," Pat stated, "since the basic energy of our universe IS God."

Chalfant's new book, 'Spirit Lights A Path To Mediumship', explains how she, a real skeptic regarding such matters, developed mediumship abilities and now lives a life transformed by the spiritual. Mediumship is a controversial issue and Pat understands this, but she also believes that credible mediumship holds the promise of real benefits for mankind that have not been fully explored.

In addition to offering one-on-one client consultations, Pat has penned the 'Spirit Lights Song Book' and three of those songs are in the National Spiritualist Ass’n of Churches hymn book. She does readings for clients by phone and teaches mediumship development classes. She has also created a DVD entitled 'Spirit Lights Psychic Development DVD'.
