Evangelical Outreach, EOMIN.org proclaims and defends the Christian Gospel against various forms of religious deceptions from Catholicism to Jehovah's Witnesses to Eternal Security to KJB Onlyism.
Freedom can be defined in many ways. The dictionary defines freedom as "liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another". Another definition is "the quality of being exempt or released usually from something onerous". While freedom can be defined in many ways, there is one form of freedom that supercedes all others. It will allow one to experience total freedom, whether it be from a physical prison or from any kind of personal prison. Dan Corner, Director of Evangelical Outreach explains:
If you or someone you know is in prison and want to break free, here is a surefire way to escape that will ALWAYS work, regardless of the obstacles; but, they must sincerely be willing to escape. Don't waste your time with razor blades, files, hacksaws, bribery or even dynamite. (Shortly I'll tell you about a special type of dynamite.) Don't even think about getting hostages or doing a helicopter land in the prison yard, as some have done in the past. Those methods are all ineffective and completely useless in this prison system, compared to the real way to escape! The remedy I have for you is much more powerful, quicker and quieter too, but to help other prisoners escape too, you'll need something sharper than a sword! (More about that and how to get one shortly.)
This remedy will work even in the toughest maximum security prisons, under the heaviest armed guard in solitary confinement and even for those people on death row. Such circumstances are really not a problem at all. In fact, what I'm about to divulge has already gotten many prisoners free over the years, though this knowledge is heavily suppressed by the authorities. Surely you can understand why this knowledge (in its pure form) is not commonly known, though there are many cheap counterfeits which don’t work at all. Again, freedom must be in its pure form, without adding to or taking away from it. Be aware: the evil principalities want the prisoners confined behind their bars and to stay there for life, but they can't stop you from breaking free, if you truly act upon the pure remedy.
This is not guess work, but an absolute guarantee, and no one will have to smuggle anything into your jail cell! The chains and cuffs will soon come off without any metal key, as soon as you're ready. It's up to you to decide the timing. You will not need any accomplice or getaway vehicle to flee from prison to safety to go into hiding until things cool down. You can break free today, right after you read this and learn how. In fact, the sooner the better – do NOT delay!
Be sure to read this out loud and don't worry if the prison guards, chaplains, spiritual leaders, police, judges, lawyers or even the prison warden himself learn the way too. In most cases, they need this information too, though they are not behind the kind of prison bars you are. Hopefully, it will not fall on deaf ears. So don't be quiet about this. Be as loud and vocal as you can. If you can somehow get up to the prison housetop, shout it from roof tops to the people. Even the armed guards in the watchtowers need it too. If you can't get to the house top, spread it all around the prison yard and don't hesitate – get the Word out ASAP. The need is so great. The prisoners need to be freed regardless of their sentence and how many times they were denied a retrial. Let's take a brief look at the past.
Famous Prison Breaks
Let’s reminisce for a minute or two. Some of the most noteworthy prison escapes by prisoners who were never recaptured again are from:
* Alcatraz (the Rock) in June 1962 amidst the waters of the San Francisco Bay by escapees Frank Morris, Allen West, and brothers Clarence and John Anglin.
* Waterloo Prison Camp, Michigan in 1969 by Jerry Bergevin.
* Clinton Correctional Facility for Women, New Jersey by Joanne Chesimard in 1978.
Oh prisoners, listen to me. Their ingenious plans to escape to freedom are nothing compared to the one I know that will absolutely work for you. Note, I said "ONE", for there is only one way to escape the horrible confinement of your personal prison house to get real freedom. All prisoners everywhere – worldwide – should be set free, and this WILL work for them too regardless of their crimes and religious background.
Did you notice the above listing cites both male and female prisoners who have escaped man's prison house and cleverly eluded recapture to the attention and amazement of the authorities? Those escapees I just mentioned were not really free though. So don't envy them. They were still in a type of prison and terribly bound by their chains and addictions, although they got out. Their horrible slavery and invisible chains remained until their death, unless somehow they learned of "the way" I want you to know about. This is so powerful, believe it or not, even a hardened jailer from centuries ago learned of the same way, and he and his whole house became filled with joy afterwards! Yes, it is true.
The way to escape is not actually knowledge itself, but sort of. "The way" is actually a person. In fact, he's a King, who after being sentenced to death, died in shame like a criminal between two others. One criminal who died by the King found freedom as he was dying, and the King himself told him he was going to Paradise, which is in the third heaven! The King not only knows how to get there, he himself is THE WAY in (Jn. 14:6); he even came from Paradise to help us get there too, but we must follow the King's directives closely.
A man named Paul summed up this good news in these words, "I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus" (Acts 20:21). Paul himself spent much time in man's prison house for proclaiming and defending that same vital message. Imagine that! Oh how our arch enemy, the devil, hates that good news (gospel), and he has offered many worthless counterfeits to deceive people who want to go to Paradise, but are on the wrong road. So, be alert to the devil’s counterfeits.
The King and PRECIOUS Lord Jesus said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:23-26).
Jesus also told people he had a spiritual yoke for us to wear much like oxen, or other animals in the natural have, that would be working in a field and pulling a burden:
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light (Matt. 11:29-30).
People who have repented (and become Christians) are described as follows:
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires (Gal. 5:24).
To turn from your wickedness, which is dragging you to a fiery hell, and to wisely choose to submissively place Jesus' yoke upon yourself to follow and serve him is equated to believing on Jesus. This way is also the same as getting born again. When a person is born again, he is also forgiven of all of his sins and set free from the sin addictions he was a slave to (John 8:34-36; Rom. 6:22). In particular, it is contact with Jesus' cleansing, precious blood (Rev. 1:5; 1 Pet. 1:19; 1 John 1:7) that brings this new creation (2 Cor. 5:17) miracle about.
NOTE: You will never find rest for your soul until you come to Jesus on his terms. But there is another part to the question, what is the gospel of Jesus Christ: Jesus taught that you must turn from sin (repent) or you will perish in hell's fire:
But unless you repent, you too will all perish (Luke 13:3).
Getting born again occurs at the point of a trusting-and-submitting faith in Jesus for personal salvation, which includes repentance. All 100% of our trust must be in mankind's only Savior, who is Jesus, in order to have salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; etc.). (The Gospel is the power of God, the dynamite – dunamis, Greek. – of God, Rom. 1:16.) Again, Jesus must be the sole focus of our faith. Many have, unfortunately, been deceived into lethally trusting church membership, water baptism, Mary, Saturday Sabbath keeping, Lodge membership, wearing the brown scapular, etc., for salvation. Others are trusting partly in Jesus and partly in something or someone else for their salvation. These people have also been dangerously misled. If you are a backslider, repent to reverse your spiritually dead and lost condition (Lk. 15:24 cf. James 5:19-20; Rom. 11:20-23).
Examples of final salvation verses are shown here:
Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed (Rom. 13:11).
All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved (Matt. 10:22).
Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to” (Luke 13:23, 24).
Remember 2 Cor. 4:16-18. The word of God is sharper than any double-edge sword (Heb. 4:12). See also Eph. 6:17. Share this message with others. God bless you.

How to Break Out of Prison - Only One Way Can Lead To Freedom From One's Personal Prison Says Evangelical Outreach And Its Holiness Preaching

Bible Based Christian Poem Based On Popular Jesus Loves Me Lyrics Published By Dan Corner, Director Of Evangelical Outreach
Corner is a Christian author, former Pastor, defender of the Christian faith and evangelist who has had over four decades of experience dealing with the Bible.
We live in an age of misinformation and disinformation. Contrary to what some of us might believe, not all misinformation is created. It can also result from lack of knowledge, misinterpretations or generally accepted misperception. Dan Corner, Director of Evangelical Outreach, offers the following example.
Jesus Loves Me is a popular "gospel" song, which has been around for many years and sung by untold whole congregations worldwide. The melody is beautiful and often the singers are most talented, as they sing out the lyrics, a musical sermon, which is very misleading, even to the point of being spiritually LETHAL.
Hence, that is the reason for the following Christian poem and warning. Please ponder this carefully and verify it with your own Bible (and tell others):
Jesus Loves Me DANGER
Jesus loves me, this I know;
But that doesn't mean to the flesh I can sow!
That's how one reaps destruction, not eternal life;
Therefore, stay away from all sin, including strife.
[Mark 10:21; Gal. 6:8,9; Rom. 1:29]
Jesus' followers to him surely belong;
But, don't be deceived by any religious song.
Yes, heaven's gates are opened large and wide;
But only for Jesus' PURE and holy bride.
[Jn. 10:27; Rev. 21:27; Rev. 19:7,8]
At the point of repentance, he washes away the stain of all sin;
Yet, even so, by sin we can be defiled and unsaved once again;
Therefore, know that he who OBEYS is the one who will win.
That's true GRACE teaching -- not a 'Jesus Loves You' spin.
[Acts 3:19; 2 Pet. 2:20-22; Heb. 5:9; James 2:17]
Yes Jesus loves you, but do you love him?
Go by the Bible and not some gospel hymn.
Do you love Jesus, this I wonder about;
For if you don't, you will be lost without a doubt.
[2 Tim. 3:16,17; James 2:5; 1 Cor. 16:22]
I love my PRECIOUS Jesus, this I know;
My garments his blood washed white as snow.
He shed his blood and gave his life for me;
To show my love for him, I obey, this is key.
[Rev. 7:14 cf. Isa. 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:18,19; Jn. 14:23,24]
You better love Jesus too, for the Bible tells me so;
It's a salvation issue or else into eternal fire you'll go.
Yes Jesus loves me, but I better love him first;
You better too or you'll be eternally cursed!
[Mt. 10:37,38; Mt. 25:41; Rev. 2:4,5; 1 Cor. 16:22; 2:9]
If we faithfully follow him to the very end;
In Paradise with him forever, we will spend.
Jesus will damn all who die spiritually impure.
Not even one will escape him, that's for sure.
[Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8]
So don't be misled by Jesus' love for us all;
Few will be chosen, though many are called.
You'll reap eternal life if to the Spirit you sow;
Oh how Jesus loves us, this I know.
[Mt. 22:14; Gal. 6:8,9; Mark 10:21]
Persist in your faith doing good to the very end;
Believe the Bible over any loved one, song or friend.
Hold on to what you have so no one will take your crown;
You must finish your spiritual race and not be turned around.
[Rom. 11:20-23; Rev. 2:10,11; Rev. 3:11; Heb. 12:1; Mt. 10:22]
To reap eternal life, follow Jesus and keep holding on;
Keep sowing to please the Spirit and don't be conned.
You'll reap eternal life, if you do not give up;
Avoid God's wrath contained within his cup.
[Gal. 6:7-10; Rev. 14:10]
God's kingdom has been prepared for those who love him;
Yes, that's eternal truth, not some deceitful cultic whim.
Yes indeed, the PRECIOUS Lord Jesus loves all - both you and me;
But you are to be holy in all you do and from sin you better flee.
[1 Cor. 2:9; James 2:5; 1 Pet. 1:15; James 1:14-16]
So regardless the musical tune or sweet lyrics of a song;
Do not depart from the Bible and you will never believe wrong.
Only the pure in heart will see God, for the Bible tells me so;
Our Judgment will be based on scripture, this I surely know.
[2 Tim. 3:16,17; 1 Cor. 4:6; Mt. 5:8; 1 Tim. 5:22c; Rev. 21:27; Jn. 12:48]
Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ ultimately succeed;
To any other voice but scripture, do not give any heed.
To live for Christ and to die is gain;
Do not fear death and in him remain.
[Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Jn. 5:12; Phil. 1:21; Jn. 15:5,6; Heb. 2:15]

Liberty In Christ, Eternal Security And The Issue Of Drunkenness - Evangelical Outreach EOMIN.org Offers Scriptural Guidance Through Compelling Testimony
Evangelical Outreach is a Christian ministry dedicated to the defense and confirmation of the life-giving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The "Once Saved Always Saved" doctrine holds that it is not possible for a Christian to die spiritually. Sadly, the "liberty in Christ" concept can be, and often is, used by OSAS teachers to justify sinful behavior. Ex-Catholic Dan Corner, Director of Evangelical Outreach knows that Scripture says something very different. He recently offered a very important anonymous testimony on this topic.
I initially came to salvation about 9 years ago. As a baby Christian, I began attending a very large and friendly Southern Baptist Church. After service we had Connect Group where about 30 people got together for food and fellowship. I was eager to read all the big names that were on display in the Church and airport bookstore. Although as a new Christian (or so I thought), I still wanted to continue to get drunk occasionally. However, I did not want to anger God and be punished for my occasional indulgences.
I confessed to the group that every couple of weeks I liked to drink a bottle of wine and smoke a pack of cigarettes and asked them what the Bible had to say about that. This question was received like a hot potato, and it was hard to get a straight answer, but in sum, I was told it was a matter between me and the Holy Spirit and that we just don't want to cause someone else to stumble.
I wanted a more definite answer but was also secretly hoping for a loophole that would allow me to continue to "treat myself" every now and then. When I spoke to different members of the group about "having to obey Christ" and God’s wrath, I was told things like: that’s legalism, "God is love", "This is the age of grace" and, “Just go enjoy your relationship with Christ."
I was ecstatic when one day after class, in response to one of my "what if" questions, one of the lead teachers told me that I could do the same thing again and again and again, and I would be forgiven every time. That was music to my ears; now I could still get drunk every couple of weeks and remain in good standing with Christ! I knew I kept returning to my wine as a dog returns to his vomit (2 Peter 2:22) but I thought I was safe because I was returning to it less than before.
And if I did it less and less - let's say once every 2 1/2 or 3 weeks instead of once every 2 weeks, then I was becoming more and more sanctified. I listened to speakers from our church visit prisons and tell the inmates that if they believe in Christ, all God sees is Christ's righteousness -- not their sin -- when he looks at them. I knew that there had to be repentance from sins in order to come to Christ to be initially saved, but afterwards, it seemed that as long as you sinned less than you did before you came to Christ, then you were being sanctified and you were on the road to Heaven.
I got a deceitful MacArthur Study Bible and read the commentaries at the bottom of the Bible page. I read and heard expressions like the "practice of sinning" and a "lifestyle" of sin, which gave me a false sense of security because my drunkenness was only occasional and not a "lifestyle" or a "practice". The Holy Spirit was convicting me that something was wrong and false about this gospel message. I erroneously thought the matter was one of true and false conversion. I had not yet understood that a true Christian can indeed fall away.
I began to see the term "liberty in Christ" used to justify sinful behavior. I also noticed all the focus was on God’s love but nothing about his wrath. Because of all this, at my urging, our family left the big popular church in search of one with more "narrow gate" preaching. The other churches we visited had the same lopsided message. Finally we settled on a tiny church that I thought would be safer and more real. When I asked the pastor there about occasional drinking, he told me that they do not meddle into people’s business and that we have "liberty in Christ". At that point, I quit going to church altogether because I was afraid of being subjected to and deceived by false doctrine; I didn't trust myself as strong enough to stand firm under it. I started to become obsessed with finding out whether or not Once Saved Always Saved was true and what were the real consequences of sin.
Scripture states that those who commit the sin of drunkenness will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:21). Know that drunkenness, which leads to hell, starts with only one drink; it is by having one drink that paves the way for the imbibing of the next (and the next). It is true that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus but only for those who walk after the Holy Spirit and not after the lusts of the flesh. (Romans 8:1)
When I read all these verses together, my heart started violently pounding and I had a fearful expectation of judgment and raging hellfire as God's enemy. (Heb. 10:26) I immediately got down on my knees and begged the Lord to forgive me for being a drunkard and to give me his grace and mercy to stop. That was almost 9 years ago, and I have not had a drink since. Looking back, I can now see how the doctrine of eternal security puts people back on the road to hell very soon after initial salvation. Even so, I know I must take full responsibility for my own sins and not blame others for my choice to sow to my flesh. "Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey - whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?" (Romans 6:16) Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. (1 Peter 1:13) Share this message with others. God bless you.

Contrary To The Teachings Of Bruce Wilkinson, There Are Two Sources Of Miracles In The Bible Says Evangelical Outreach Director Dan Corner
Corner is a Christian author, former Pastor, defender of the Christian faith and evangelist who has had over four decades of experience dealing with the Bible.
When we think of miracles, most of us believe that miracles are produced only by the power of God. However there is another kind of miracle that is satanic in nature. The purpose of such satanic miracles is to deceive well meaning followers. Dan Corner, Director of Evangelical Outreach, urges us to be on our guard against deception. He recently had this to say:
Miracles from God and from the devil do occur! Because people don't know that there are two sources of miracles, they are getting lethally deceived. Therefore, how to distinguish miracles of God from Satanic miracles is nothing less than vital! When one reads through the book of Revelation, he will notice that the last generation will live through and see not only the effects of war, famine, martyrdom and gross sin, but they will also be subject to gross deception through Satanic miracles.
Remember, miracles do come through two supernatural sources – both God and the devil. In the book of Exodus, some of God's miracles were duplicated by Satan's power channeled through the Egyptian sorcerers -- their wooden staffs became snakes (Ex. 7:10,11); water was changed into blood (Ex. 7:20-22) and frogs came out of the water and covered the land (Ex. 8:6,7). Demons can and do perform miraculous signs (Rev. 16:14).
The last generation will see fire coming down from heaven to earth (Rev. 13:13) and an image of the Antichrist speaking (Rev. 13:15) because of Satanic power. In fact, it will be because of such Satanic miracles that the ones who fatally receive the infamous "mark of the beast" will be deceived (Rev. 13:15-17 cf. 19:20). They will be deceived by the astounding and awe-inspiring miracles produced by Satanic power! See also 2 Thess. 2:9,10.
Satan has used miracles in the past to deceive, and he is still using and will continue to use miracles to deceive. This truth is the answer to the mystic questions regarding Edgar Cayce, Padre Pio, etc.; all of these different religious figures had miracles with the accompanying signs and claims about God and the afterlife, but all of these message conflicted with each other and, more importantly, they conflicted with the Bible, the ultimate, sole and final spiritual authority.
Similar conflicting messages surrounding miracles and visions are also found in Mormonism and Catholicism. In Brigham Young's day, after prayer, they were saved by sea gulls which ate the grain eating crickets.
In contrast, in Catholicism, there are the 1917 "approved" Fatima visions of a personage claiming to be the Virgin Mary, who declared herself to be our "refuge" and "the way" that will lead us to God. The "miracle of the sun" also happened. Such a message about Mary, however, is in direct conflict with Jn. 14:6 which declares Jesus as the only "way" to God and God as our sole refuge (Psa. 46:1; 62:8; etc.)! Even if the so-called "Eucharistic miracles" in the Catholic Church really did occur, they are not determinative of spiritual truth and reality; WHY? Because even the Egyptian sorcerers could transubstantiate water into blood (Ex. 7:20-22); remember there are two sources of miracles. The issue is not if a miracle actually took place, but what is the source of the miracle? If a miracle parallels the Bible message, then it is from God; if the message of purported miracle contradicts and leads one away from the message of the Bible, then it is from our enemy the devil.
Additionally, the Eucharist does not satisfy the conditions of a genuine transubstantiation because it does not become and taste like real flesh and blood, unlike the Bible-based transubstantiation miracle we see in John 2:10, whereby Jesus transformed the water into wine; there, the water tasted like real wine and actually became wine. Most importantly, the message of the Eucharist contradicts the Bible’s salvation message because one gets eternal life solely through repentance and a submissive faith in Jesus (Jn. 6:47; 6:35; Acts 10:43; etc.) without communion.
Furthermore, since Mormonism and Catholicism both have miracles and visions, and since their messages about salvation are in conflict with each other, we logically know that God cannot be the only power source for miracles and visions because God is not a God of confusion. In reality, God's power was NOT active in either of those cases.
The Indian guru Sai Baba's healing and materializations, as well as the Catholic healing waters of Lourdes, also do NOT parallel the Bible message either. Hence, Sai Baba's miracles and the healing miracles from the waters at Lourdes, France cannot be from the same source who gave us the Bible. Do NOT be deceived!
By what then must we gauge all messages and teachings, considering that miracles, visions, signs, etc. can be lethally deceptive? The only criterion is God's written word (2 Tim. 3:16,17). If God's word is not considered as FINAL AUTHORITY when "testing" a miracle, vision, dream, prophecy, or teaching, etc., then one will surely be deceived. Did you know that if you are deceived by a miracle to receive the mark of the beast, YOU will end up in fiery torment, even if you were once saved (Rev. 14:9-12)? We MUST be both "self-controlled" and "alert" in order to stand till the end against the deceitful devil and his wiles (1 Pet 5:8; Eph. 6:10,11).
Remember, these are perilous days with rampant religious deception. In conclusion, God still performs miracles, and he still heals in our day (Jn.14:12; Acts 4:30; etc.), but again, so does the devil. The Bible remains final spiritual authority and will enable us to distinguish God's miracles from Satan’s deceptive miracles. The one and only truth about forgiveness of sins and salvation is repentance from sin and a submissive faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to serve him (Acts 20:21; 26:20; 1 Thess. 1:9; Jn. 3:36; Heb. 5:9; etc.). There is no eternal security (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11). Prepare for your death and judgment afterwards (Heb. 9:27). Pass this teaching on to another.

The Sin Unto Death Interpretation Offered By Calvinism's Once Saved Always Saved Teachers Is A License To Sin Says EOMIN.org Evangelical Outreach Director Dan Corner
Corner is a Christian author, former Pastor, defender of the Christian faith and evangelist who has had over four decades of experience dealing with the Bible.
One of the core ideas presented on the Evangelical Outreach website is that Eternal Security (Once Saved Always Saved) teachings are deceptive. Backsliders must repent of sin for salvation, and no longer possess eternal life. Thus backsliders must become alive again from a dead and lost spiritual condition through sincere repentance.
The version of the Sin Unto Death offered by Calvinism's Once Saved Always Saved teachers is very dangerous. Dan Corner, Director of Evangelical Outreach, offers Biblical references to prove that the interpretations offered by Eternal Security teachers from gotquestions.org to gty.org are false. He recently had this to say.
The counterfeit sin unto death interpretation given by the eternal security teachers (also known as Once Saved Always Saved teachers) explicitly reveals their license to sin doctrine for what it truly is. That truth is important to know because you will probably never hear any eternal security teacher admit that their doctrine really is a license for immorality. In fact, they often flatly deny this charge sometimes to the point of yelling slander. However, there are still various ways these people teach this very license for immorality although they hate to be recognized as so doing; one such example is their distorted version of the sin unto death. The apostle John wrote of sin leading to death here:
If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death (1 John 5:16,17).
Clearly, there is sin unto death. Whatever the type of death, it is not explicitly identified in 1 John 5:16-17. While it is an undeniable truth that God gets so angry over sin that he consequently kills people, there is yet another truth related to the sin unto death that the eternal security teachers vehemently deny; they deny that sin can indeed bring a Christian to his SPIRITUAL death. Hence, just like Adam and Eve who died spiritually as a result of their sin, just as God had warned would happen (Gen. 2:17), Christians can also suffer the same lethal consequence. God did not kill Adam and Eve physically, but Adam and Eve did die spiritually. For them, it was a sin unto death in a spiritual sense.
From the eternal security perspective, when a person once saved dies physically, he always goes to heaven no matter what. According to their position, how such people are living at the point of death is inconsequential, even if God would kill them physically because of their unrepentant heinous sins. This teaching clearly spells out a license for immorality, and such is their poisonous understanding of the sin unto death. Please note what deceased Dave Hunt taught in his comments on the 1 Cor. 11 passage about the sin unto death:
"For this cause, some of you are weak and sickly and some of you sleep; some of you died because God has brought judgment upon you for the way you have conducted yourselves and so forth. So I think what he's saying is, there are some sins that are so heinous, and not only heinous, but perhaps - I think it depends upon the position that a person has - that brings reproach upon Christ, and God takes them home for that." [Radio show 0121.]
The word “heinous” is defined as "utterly reprehensible or evil." Question for all other eternal security proponents: What kind of punishment is it for God to kill a person, because of his unrepentant heinous sins, to take him out of this painful cursed unjust sin-filled world and send him to a beautiful paradise full of joy, peace, love, truth, righteousness, etc.?
For Paul, to live was Christ and to die was gain and better by far (Phil. 1:21-23); nonetheless, the eternal security "blind guides" want us to believe that we can live for self, heinous sin and the devil and then gain Paradise even when we persist and die in those sins! Hence, death for such unrepentant sinners is not really a punishment at all, but a blessing and gain as a reward for their hatred of God (manifested by their disobedience) and their love of wickedness.
Again, according to Once Saved Always Saved doctrine, one can therefore backslide into heinous sin and wickedness, remain and continue in such rebellion, even after God’s discipline, and still get blessed when God TAKES THE STUBBORN UNREPENTANT SINNER TO HEAVEN after striking him dead in his holy wrath and anger! Dear reader, can you really force yourself to believe such a religious fairy tale? If you ponder the horrible, but logical, conclusion produced by the eternal security teachers, you will have to agree that their version of the sin unto death is nothing more than a deadly, religious myth yielding an extreme opportunity to live in the wildest rebellion to God - a definite license for sin.
Similarly, the D. James Kennedy's message [D. James Kennedy, Can A Christian Fall From Grace? (Ft. Lauderdale FL: Coral Ridge Ministries), pp. 14, 15] comes through loud and clear regarding his so-called doctrines of grace. In relaying his message, Kennedy is indirectly saying that Christian adulterers actually do exist. In contrast to this deadly doctrinal myth, the Bible speaks of only one type of adulterer, and such is always shown as one who will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7), but instead is destined for the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8), unless he repents. But the eternal security teachers don't want to believe that a backslider must repent for salvation sake; instead, they claim he will still gain heaven and escape hell in his unrepentant adultery or other heinous sins, all because he was once saved! How God must hate this ear-tickling deadly lie, which has deceived multitudes. At times, D. James Kennedy's Calvinism will have him declare that the elect will invariably persevere and endure in holiness to the very end, but then he turns right back around and blatantly teaches his sin unto death yarn. Doesn't D. James Kennedy realize that dying in unrepentant adultery is not enduring to the end in holiness? Clearly, Eternal Security is a doctrine of demons, which Christians must oppose!
Dear eternal security proponent, do not let yourself be deceived by the popular teachers of our hour or from yesteryear who have changed grace into a license for immorality, as just proven. This dangerous religious subterfuge should now be apparent especially after considering what both types of eternal security teachers have said about their false version of the sin unto death. Their deadly version of grace, with their sin unto death interpretation, allows all forms of unrepentant wickedness for those that were ever regenerated (born again).
Furthermore, the true Christian is clearly called by the term "saint", which means holy one. Since sin can make a holy person unholy again (1 Tim. 5:22; Rev. 3:4; etc.), and therefore, unfit for an entrance into the kingdom of God (Mt. 5:8; Heb. 12:14; Rom. 6:22; etc.), then these eternal security teachers are dangerously downplaying the effects of sin in the life of a Christian. Souls are at risk because of these fables, including this sin unto death myth.
Spiritual reality dictates that a true Christian can sin in such a way as to bring him back into spiritual death, thereby endangering him once again to the lake of fire (James 1:14-16; 5:19,20; Luke 15:24,32; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:8,9; Rom. 6:16; 8:13; Rev. 2:10,11; etc.). This sequence of events is the real sin unto death, as mentioned by the Apostle John. Moreover, if God in his holy wrath strikes someone dead due to unrepentant adultery, such a person will not go to heaven, but to hell, with all the other God haters as demonstrated in Hebrews 10:26-27; by the way, according to the Bible, the God haters are the disobedient as Jesus said that love for him is obedience to his commands. To reiterate, adulterers do not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-10). This fact was basic knowledge in first century Christianity, although popularly denied in our dark day by those who maintain their security-in-sin gospel and license for immorality.
What happened to Adam and Eve when they sinned (and consequently died spiritually) is a true example of the sin unto death. Similarly, the prodigal became "dead" and lost (Lk. 15:24) as a backslider in his sins. He too exemplifies the real meaning of the sin unto death. Moreover, because the prodigal got forgiven upon repentance, his example conclusively answers the sin unto death vs. the unpardonable sin question! These two types of sin are NOT the same. The sin unto death can get forgiven, while the unpardonable sin cannot.
Sins that cause the sin unto death (or spiritual death) are the ones listed in 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8 and other such listings which will exclude one from inheriting the kingdom of God. Lesser sins, such as worry or unthankfulness, are not sins unto death (that is, they do not lead to spiritual death, putting one back on the road to hell).
Dear reader, if you think you can live in heinous sin, as all eternal security teachers want you to believe, and still remain on the road to heaven, you have been dangerously deceived. You must repent (turn from sin) or you will find yourself being thrown into the lake of fire in the end. You are not merely jeopardizing your physical life, rewards, position in the kingdom, etc. as they claim, but it is your very SOUL that is being endangered and jeopardized. Do not be deceived by their distorted version of the sin unto death or anything else these false teachers say which allows for wickedness and salvation at the same time.
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil .... (1 John 3:7-8)
Eternal Security is an extreme license to sin and nothing better. Be warned and God bless you. More information is available at the Evangelical Outreach site.
