Duck Dynasty's Uncle Si Near Death Experience - Author Brian McLaughlin Offers An Expert Opinion On NDE's

McLaughlin's book, 'A Flight Without Wings' relates an extraordinary near death experience. It is raw and it's real. There is no embellishment, no theology and no hidden agenda

A recent piece on Fox News by Molly Dodd referenced what Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty called a "near death experience". The spot where Uncle Si often sits had been destroyed by a fallen tree. As a result of this "near death experience", Si begins to put together a bucket list (Ducket list in Duckese). The results are of course hilarious. The question we must ask is, "Is a close call a near death experience?"

Brian McLaughlin, author of "A Flight Without Wings" believes a close call is not a near death experience, though many people are using the term "near death experience" to describe what is simply a near accident or perhaps a close call.

"An actual near death experience," McLaughlin stated, "Usually results from flat lining, due to accident, injury or illness. It can be a complicated process to understand and even harder to explain. Near misses and close calls are usually a measure of good luck in avoiding  that which may result in a near death experience."

My Flight Without WingsIn 'A Flight Without Wings', Brian McLaughlin vividly depicts his journey into Heaven and his following return to life caused by a massive head trauma sustained while vacationing in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico twenty-one years ago. McLaughlin’s journey to Heaven and back brought that sense of certainty, clarity and peace. But what he realized afterward is that the peace we seek is not something we will find far off in an unknown future – it is instead right here, right now. We CAN be certain now. We CAN experience that peace in this very moment. His epiphany occurred when he heard the phrase “My peace I give you,” as he understood, for the first time, what those words were meant to convey.

Unlike some books on the subject, Brian's book is raw. It is real. There is no embellishment, no theology and no hidden agendas or requisites in order to embrace the benefits.

"My book merely gives a simple, non-threatening account of what I saw and felt after passing over, and how that experience has affected my life with unexplained epiphanies afterwards," McLaughlin concluded. "It leaves room for almost all, to adapt or adopt conclusions that support their own belief systems”

Heaven is not a future place. It is instead a current state. Like others who have had the same type of experience, Brian's life was transformed by his near death experience. He knows he was sent back for a reason.

Reviews of the book have been overwhelmingly positive. One stated, "Being a mother who lost her only child I found it to be a great comfort to me." Another said, "I have read many accounts such as these but this beautifully written account simply touched my heart in ways that previous ones have not."

Mark Feuerstein, Actor (Royal Pains, USA Network) wrote: “I have read it and I think it’s an inspiring tale of deep insight and so personal and yet so universal” …. “such profound perspective”
