In the traditions of Margret Mitchell and Danielle Steele, romance novelist Rusty Blackwood attempts to produce images in word that will leave readers breathless. Poetry can be many things to many people. For Rusty Blackwood, it has always been an outlet of emotion, a love she has experienced daily since becoming a serious writer in 2001. She believes expression of the heart and soul through selective words can lift the spirit, allowing it to soar to heights never imagined, and that inspiration can be found in the smallest detail, blossoming into a full-fledged composition where texture and feelings come alive within the recipient.

Rusty Blackwood is a firm believer in creating her own destiny and she continues to strive for this goal with each new publication. "Never let it be said I rest on my laurels," says Ms. Blackwood, " for there is always something new and exciting around the next bend in the road, inspiration with each new horizon, or new ideas within the avenues of the mind and writing a new piece is no different when it comes to applying any of these methods."

Rusty Blackwood has written an eclectic array of Contemporary and Traditional poetry, publishing her first collection in October of 2009 entitled, ‘Feelings: A Rhythmic Journey in Thought’. This was followed in April of 2010 by a collection of assorted short stories for children as well the young at heart entitled, ‘Young Minds’.

Her first venture into the competitive world of main-stream fiction was a long time in the making, but was finally realized in early October 2010 with the release of her debut romance novel, ‘Passion in Paris: Connections to the Past’, the first of two in the ongoing romance/drama. The second part, a romance novel entitled, ‘Passion in Paris: Directions of the Heart’ was released in May 2011 and will be followed by the intriguing drama, ‘Net of Lies’.
